Hey, Syd. I believe my plans for Halloween include working at a photo booth at a kids party. So I expect I'll be dressing up in either my Renaissance dress or I'll cobbler together stuff to make a clockpunk type outfit. (I just got a necklace with an old style telephone on it. It'd make a great accessory. B-))

Happy Birthday, eustacegirl!

NN, now all we have to do is remember that information. ;)

PoN, David Rintoul is an excellent Darcy. One of the more amusing bits is how whenever Elizabeth sits down at the piano (pianoforte?) there's a magnet effect. :)) (And yay for no random wet-shirt scenes!) I also love the portrayal of Mrs. Bennet. She's kind of sweet... in a mortifying sort of fashion.

Cor, if you've been lurking, then I did notice you recently! I waved to the lurkers. :p *does so again, hoping that other lurkers will re-appear and post*

Anyone remember me? ;))

Who are you? The name sounds familiar, but the graphic looks more like Ryan... Hmmm... ;)) Anyway, welcome back! :D

Malkah, yes, In Pace is correct. (And... I went looking for the Josh Groban/Placido Domingo collaboration. I don't believe I had heard it before. It was awesome, though.)

[quote="greenleaf, on Icebound Lands,":1zy2hiex]I think he knew the King wouldn't banish him forever, he just needed a way to go after Will.

Or at least Halt hoped the king would forgive him. I do like the resolution of that particular plot thread, though it's probably my least favourite Princess Cassandra moment. :| Her reaction then is just...awkward. Or too forced.

Hello, Cor! I'm greatly honored that you devoted an entire post to me. :D ;))
I've watched Fiddler on the Roof so many times, I practically have it memorized. My aunt took me to a play of it once, and I was terrified during the nightmare scene. That was, ehem, quite a few years ago. ;) It is a rather unusual movie, however, so I can see why it wouldn't be a favorite. And while I'm on the subject, what are you favorite musicals? :)
Jane Austen, eh? :D Have you read any of her novels? :) I'd imagine you're rather nervous about getting your grade back . . . by the way, I'd love to read the paper, if that would be at all possible. ;) :)
Heh heh, Vern, things are going quite well here. Did you know that people in Wisconsin are called Cheese-Heads? :-o Rather disrespectful, if you ask me. ;) JK. Thankfully I've never been called one. ;) Well, even if Cor has kept you informed on my well-being, it so happens that he hasn't mentioned you to me at all, recently. Tisk tisk. [-( ;)

Wow, malkah! A foot of snow?! Good heavens! :-o That's amazing. And sounds rather fun. ;) When we were driving about earlier today, the leaves were so thick in places that it reminded me of snow. :) Thanks, I love my avatar too! I requested it specifically. ;) That scene was absolutely beautiful.
Hiya, greenleaf! How are you doing?

Queen Susan!!! My! I'm almost bowled over by your enthusiastic response upon seeing me. ;)) It *is* raaaaather good to see you. :D
Please don't feel rushed to respond to my PM-I just wanted to make sure you got it, as a couple of times I've had problems. And so have you, I believe. :)
Hmm, me and Betsie cause people to howl, eh? :-s That's a bit . . . weird. ;)
And I've come back soon!!! Mostly for your sake, so feel pleased. ;) Partly because I'm working tomorrow, too, and I don't want a gigantic catchup when I come home. ;)

'Vell, Mel, hopefully you'll regain your memory of me as time continues on. By the way, I see you appear to be a member of the Manalive conspiracy? :D :D :D As Vice President (albeit missing for a couple weeks), I welcome you! :D

Alright, I'll be heading out now. So long!

*saunters into the Square, waving to everyone* Man, ya'll posted a lot yesterday!

Ketchup:

eg, happy birthday! :D Heh...SOL...I know, I'll post. Sorry, I've been busy lately.

narnianerd, none of your siblings like Narnia? :( I know how that feels. There are lots of good books and series that I love, but my sister thinks they're ridiculous... Also, my little brother makes fun of Narnia sometimes. 8-|

NN95, what've you been up to lately? Anything exciting going on?

*waves wildly back to Destined and gives her a big hug* So good to see you back! :)

malkah, I really liked the part in Dragonquest when Kale met Bardon for the first time. :D I also love all the scenes with the minor dragons, too. They're so cute!!
Almost a FOOT of snow? I so envy you...

greenleaf: Well, I'm finished with The Icebound Land now, and I really enjoyed it. :D I was kinda shocked with how the warmweed effected Will, though, like when he was traveling with Evanlyn. He just seemed so...out of it. It was kinda scary seeing Will like that. :-o

QS, I love your avie and siggy! :) Up is such an awesome movie.

Woot, ketchup's done! ;) :p Anyway...yesterday was a fun day. :) I checked out Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George at the library. I've read it before, but I just had to read it again. It's a great book. Then we had Wednesday Night Teen Church, which was really fun. :)

Mortereve all!

NN, yeah, I'm normally trying to ignore the analyzing side of me while I watch a movie for the first time. And if the movie is good enough, I won't notice things until a couple of time through. Awesome! I'd love to watch a movie with your dad. :P The comentaries help a lot on the visual aspect of things. Love listening to those! :D
Halmark movie are fun to watch, just because they do a lot of things that other (better) movie don't do. So you learn the do's and dont's from the negative side of things, which is much easier than trying to figure out all the right things in a good movie.

Yep, ditto that. Yeah, it's really fun to watch stuff with him. Oh, I love commentaries! For more reasons than just the visual aspect of things.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I've never seen a Hallmark movie, but I have seen movies that I learn some don'ts from.

@ NN. Very few people have..... Yes, I would recommend his work. You'll have to do some searching to find his good stuff, though.

I see. ;)) Well, thank you. :)

Dennie! Good to see you back in the Square!

Heya, Aiden! How's life going?

Quite splendidly, thank you. A tad busy, but well.

NN95, what've you been up to lately? Anything exciting going on?

Nothing much. What about you?

Second post of the day! Mort'reve all!

Mortereve! How IS everyone doing?? *having ice-skates on her feet, Jojo attempts to skate into the Square, but since the precipitation we have is only water and not ice, it doesn't go over so well.* (roller-blades would be better, methinks) I am simply feeling fine beyond words.

I regret it greatly that I'm so far behind. :( Gahh! BUT, I just felt like I needed to post today, since it is my one-year-anniversary of having joined NW. (my profile may not say that, but really, it has been one year) *reminiscent of the days when she peeked shyly through the entrance of the Square, was then booted in quite unceremoniously by her wild imagination, Jojo is quite pleased with the friendships formed in just one year* Y'all are the best-est-EST crowd of human beings that evah did exist. I'm downright proud to know ye. :D Thanks for an awesome year. (there will hopefully be many more)

Now that I have made a sappy fool of myself ( ;) ), I have to go back to my Business Math. Yay.

Mortereve all!

My dear brother Prince Cor, yes, something is up. And thank you so much for bringing up such a painful subject. While you're at it, why don't you give me a paper cut and pour lemon juice in it. jk :P My love life is a bit of a long story and rather boring at that. But I recently was told by my brother that a guy I used to like four years ago, also liked me at that time. Great that I know that now, eh? ...I had thought I gotten over him... But then he pops up on facebook and invades my every thought. *sigh* Now he doesn't even know I exist.
Interesting story, huh? Well, you asked for it.

[well, mister perfect brother... *is at a loss for words* humph! take that]

malkah, the motion adjustment (or whatever you called it) is actually one of my favorite features during the football game. It once took five pictures with just once click! (the norm is two or three) And since you sound so interested, here are the rest of my photos from the game: http://www.xoopit.com/s/214ux0mckyzk8txjji1e

Well, it looks like when the weekend comes around, we would be enemies. :P I always root for any team playing against the Pats and Trojans. But at least you're not like a Wolverines fan or something. :P I think I've finally picked my Pro team--the Cardinals. But then again, it could just be a passing fancy... Yeah, I think I'd be a fan of any team that had Tim Tebow on it. But Florida does have neat colors. Why do you like Tim Tebow? Wow, I don't think I could have writen a more rambling paragraph as the above.

*sends a hug to Jojo* Happy Aniversary!

Well, that's it for today! *leaves the Square singing her own version of Would You Go With Me*

Ah, okay. Thanks for telling me, Ben. So who is your favorite Ranger's Apprentice character?

~Lucy

Will is mine....

[-( Thats a really short post there EG, if this wasn't your birth day. Well I'd have to lock you up and put you in the Fountain Jail for sorta old times sake... Remember that page Ben and Ti'na where we all posted really short posts so I could try out Jail food? That was fun.

I kind of remember that.... I remember doing some really short posts not quite as short as EG though :p

Benjamin, I'm doing fantastic, thanks! :) What have you been doing lately?

I,ve been doing Great thanks!

You've read Rangers Apprentice too Ben? Do you like them?

Yes I have all the ones that are out... Yes I like then a lot!! I think they are great! :-bd

Hello all! *Waves*

I think it's my turn to do the replying for Ruby-Winter. Yes? No? Maybe so?

Anyhow, ctach-up time....

Lol, I suppose cleaning would be fun then, Winter. :p ;)) But, yes, other than that it's not. ;)

Pretty much, yeah. :)

[/ quote][/ quote]
I've been doing pretty good, thanks you? Still haven't been able to catch a Merlin episode though! They don't have them at my library :(

Got a little over-enthusiastic with the quotes, there? ;)
Can you find the episodes on youtube? People usually upload them...

Same here; just a bit of creamer. I actually like a natural sweetener called stevia (it's somewhat like agave, if you're familiar with that). Really, really good. ;)

Who was your favorite character in North and South? :) And if you ever find the time, do read the book! It's different from the miniseries in some ways, but there's some neat scenes and dialogue that weren't included in the script.

I've heard of stevia. Not agave, though.

My favorite character was probably John Thornton. That was his name, right? It's been a while since I've seen it but I mean the guy Richard Armitage played. I'll see if I can find the book. It's probably at my library.

That's too bad! Hmm, yes, I rather forgot that your dad would be the only one to wear it. Tartan is just lovely; I love how each clan has their own pattern! :)

Tartan is lovely. It is really neat, but it's also sad if you don't belong to a Scottish clan. No Tartan for me! : :((

*Waves to Winter*

*waves back* How are you my friend?

Yes, it does sound fun. Oh, well I don't. ;))

Yes, well you are a guy. Us girls tend to be self-conscious. I do, at any rate.

Good thing I did. Yeah, some people are rather "dense" as they say. ;))

Some people are and some people are just oblivious...

Did you get the impression, Winter, that the SM method just didn't cut it like on the old forum. ;) *tries to find a colour to match* Okay, how's this?? Nope, that doesn't do it either. I've tried a number of different colours, but I'm afraid that the SMs will possibly be *sniff* no more. Ah, but wait! It looks like it works when you quote someone (because the quote box is white) but as a non-quote it doesn't because of the non-whiteish background colour. Aha. Jo finally clues in, while rambling. :p

Yup. Sigh...Poor SMs. Maybe, if you wanted to an SM you could make a quote box, put a tiny bit of black text in it and see how many people read the actual SM. Or not...

*has a good laugh at the Ruby-Winter private jet accident* Of course, it probably wouldn't be funny if y'all weren't okay, but as it is... (And I bet that there's a good Square mechanic somewhere who can get it running--er, flying--again.)

Probably not. I have no doubt there is a good mechanic, but I think we're going to need a good vet for the poor plattypus, first. Ooh! Good code for SMs!

@ Winter. *laughs* Well, I talk a lot about soundtracks in RL, so... yeah. :p Umm, I honestly can't remember.

Now, I really can't remember what we were talking about... how's Vern? And how have you been?

LOL, another great edition of the Ruby-Winter Hour of Utter Insanity! ;)) You guys should really make a "Ruby-Winter" account to post under. :P

Thanks! You really think we should make another account to share? Ruby suggested it, but I wasn't sure abouth the ethics...It's not like we haven't got our own accounts or anything.

WinterStar: I've been pretty good, thanks! Been getting lots of reading done! And you? :)

I've been good. I haven't been able to do much reading, thought. :(

Winter, a loooong time ago, I asked you about your avatar, and you told me it was from Merlin. Back then I knew absolutely nothing about Merlin, but since then, I have fallen very much in love with him. JK. ;)) Anyway, as Valia has probably told you, I'm a big fan of the series now. :D

DESTINED!!!! I'm glad you like Merlin, I think it's fanatastic. :) Is your avatar from the season finale?

*giggles at the Ruby-Winter show and demise of the jet* ;))

*Sniffs* That was my favorite! ;) Serves us right for trying to impress everyone, I guess.

See y'all!

NG: Thank you!! :D I love "Up" too. :)

Anyways, I'm afraid I'll have to finish later, starting with JOJO!!!, as right now I must finish cleaning some dishes--and my brother General Lee would like me to help him play the piano. one-year-anniversary of having joined NW.

Mortereve all! I trust everyone has had a good Thursday? Mine has been very nice, got through with school early, listened to some music and stopped by the Faun Cafe for some speciality coffee on the way here. :D

Alright, now for some catching-up!

*Cor and Vern take their seats at the fountain*

@ GreenLeaf. I'm doing very well, thanks. And yourself?

@ Mel. Oh? We must have missed that then.... Well, you were successful in getting us out of lurking, anyway. ;) :p

@ Destined. The honor was mine. *tips hat*

I can see where you would be terrified of the nightmare sequence. It felt a little out of place to me in film, but it was obviously there for a reason. Alright, you asked for them. ;) In no particular order my favorite musicals are: Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, The King and I, Mary Poppins and Hello Dolly!. I've tried watching West Side Story and some other "classic" musicals, but simply found them more goofy/weird than anything else. :|

Actually, I've read three of her novels: Pride & Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and part of Northanger Abbey. :) I'll send you the paper after I get it typed into the computer. ;)

*That's very good to hear. All is going well for the Royal Family and I. Oh my! That is very rude indeed! [-( Well, I can fix that if you want me to... ;) He hasn't? Hmm, I might need to have a talk with that boy....*

No need for that, Vern! You just haven't come-up in the conversation...

*Right....*

@ Jojo. Woohoo! Happy One Year Anniversary, Jojo!!!!! :D :D/ It has been a blast getting to know you and Lissa over the last year and I'm honored to be able to call you a dear friend. :) Here's to many more years of you being a part of NW!!!!!

@ Princess. Eh, your first story was better. :p Hmm, sounds annoying to say the least. Have you thought of venturing into the "Twu Wuv" thread in SO? They might be able to help you. I know ww usually has good advice. :)

[What can i say? I've never had a good girlfriend, though I think some girls have tried to flirt with me before.....]

@ Winter. I'll let Vern answer that.... *I'm doing very well, miss Winter and yourself?* I'm also doing well. Just doing my thing. :)

Alright, that does it for me tonight!

I hope everyone has a splendid evening!

Mortereve Square Onions!

Faun_Song612, I love the talking household items! They are neat because they are really people just with an enchantment on them, so it makes it stand out from the other princesses. And you're right, she has a lot of peresonality! I love how she's a complete bookworm :D
And haha, hope your little brother's Halloween costume works out well! Last year I managed to talk my sister into dressing up as Lucy, and it turned out very good! Kids have the shortest attention spans, I know. I once babysat for this family where we watched the beginning of five different movies, because the kids got so bored of the movie after awhile!
By the way, do you happen to have a nickname that I could call you? :) You can call me Syd, nearly everyone does!

Tinkerbell is very vain, NG! And she has a big attitude problem.
Return to Neverland was made amazing because of Wendy's daughter...oh I forgot her name! But I loved her daughter, she had a lot of..spunk, I guess. xD If I remember the movie correctly, I mean. Haha

Piles and piles of homework, NN95 :P. But other than that, nothing very interesting...oh, I did see a fight today at school! That's not exactly good news, though..

Haha, PrinceCor, why does it sound familiar..? Because I did not just copy what you said, oh no.. :P That's neat, what older films have you watched recently? I probably won't of heard of many of them, I've hardly seen any movies. D8 Just Disney, haha.

How interesting that you don't like her yellow dress, Malkah! Is it because it is yellow or because you just don't like the style?
I love the fact that Belle likes to read! All the other princesses only hobby is singing, which is a great hobby, but they never do much reading. And I never really noticed about her love story being "gradual and based on friendship rather than the usual love-at-first-sigh cliche", but I liked your observation! Isn't that how most relationships turn into anyways? I hardly know of anyone who fell in love at first sight...;))

I will have to look for the DVD in the store then, Greenleaf!

Wow, QS that's awesome that you've sung to some crowds! Maybe you felt more familiar with the people you were around with at the wedding, or were more prepared. I've entered in many piano contests and had to give some public speaking talks at church, but the most nervous I've ever been in my life was when I tried out for a play! It was only the director and me in the room, but I felt very uncomfortable and unprepared, since the tryouts were an adlib type of thing.

Sounds super fun, Mel! I did a "clockpunk" type outfit last year for Halloween, and it was probably one of my favorite most random costumes I've ever worn! :D

pon, isn't the teenage love life just awful?

That's all for me, so I suppose I'll say "Sheesh y'all, 'twas a dream!" and get outta your hair! (:

I used to be called Fauny when I was a regular Town Square visitor, but I'm told that there's a few new "Faunys" that have popped up during my long absence. So you can call me either Fauny or Delaney. Whichever you prefer. :)

My sister just finished carving a pumpking with a Sherlock Holmes silhouette. It's a little bit AMAZING. ;) It's the most daring pumpking project she's ever worked on... I'm proud of her. :p

In no particular order my favorite musicals are: Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, The King and I, Mary Poppins and Hello Dolly!. I've tried watching West Side Story and some other "classic" musicals, but simply found them more goofy/weird than anything else.

I would actually consider those you listed among the "classic" musicals. West Side Story... I need to watch it again. My sister hated it, but I didn't really mind it. It wasn't my favorite, but I enjoyed some of it.

My favorite musicals right now are The Scarlet Pimernel, Into the Woods, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked - wait! Why did I ever start trying to list my favorite musicals? Forget it. Just forget it. We'll be here all night. :p [/end of musical theatre geekiness]

Syd: Wendy's daughter...I think her name was Jane. I'm not sure - it's been a while since I watched it. ;)) Yeah, she did have a lot of spunk. :p She was real funny.

Anyway, now ketchup's done. Yesterday was pretty much a quiet day. Today my sister and I have dentist appointments. :( Not looking forward to that... And later this afternoon, we're going to look for a new bike for my sister. She's getting one for Christmas. :)
