*Cor and Vern enter the Square discussing Ennio Moriccone's Once Upon a Time in the West*

It's definitely a great score. Probably in my top 5.

*Everything is in your top five!*

Nay, nay my good dragon. There are several thing not in my top 5.

*Name one.*

........... Good Mortereve all! I'm sorry for my absence for the last few days.

*More like several days....*

Anyway, I'm sorry for not post in a while. I'm here to make a catch-up post now, though. :)

*looks at the six pages of posts that he must respond to.....*

This may take a while..... :|

*Cor and Vern sit down at the fountain as the Prince begins his post*

--------------------

@ NN. MmmHmm. :) *nods in agreement* Have you heard anything by Christopher Young? He is mostly known for Horror film scores, but he has done a wide range projects. If you look him up, be careful, some of the movies he has done are not.... nice. :|

@ Princess. Yeah, it does. Still, I'm looking forward to it. :) "Nu" is a French word. Basically it means "yes".

@ Jojo. Ohh Ahh! Those are the great kinds! Only beaten by fresh, warm homemade peanut butter cookies. :D

@ CSLN. Perfectly fine. Vern sometimes lets his tail stick out in the road with similar results.

*I beg your pardon! I have not done such a thing in at least 24 hours!*

Yes, but you caused a nice pile-up last night near the stables....

Welcome! Hmm, I've heard of that, but never had any to my knowledge. What does it consist of?

@ Winter. *laughs* Well, I talk a lot about soundtracks in RL, so... yeah. :p Umm, I honestly can't remember.

@ Rose. Eh, yeah. I guess I could have cut back on the exclamation marks I suppose.... Well, you have definitely been missed around here as well. Glad you've been enjoying school as well. It's been a heavy load for me school-wise, but the subjects are not that difficult.

I've been doing really well. Some of my aunts and uncles came down yesterday to visit my grandmother, so of course me and my parents went to her house for lunch yesterday to visit. At the moment, Lady A is making hot chocolate. :D

Thanks for the comments on my Batman avatars! Of course, the real praise should go to Flam and Djaq for being so kind as to actually make the things for me. :)

@ Fanny. Yes, ahem, well... I'm doing well. It's been strange weather-wise down here. One day it's cold and then the next it's in the 80's. /:) I'll be glad when the weather stables out.

*waves to Mel, though she has not mentioned him.... at all. :-h *

@ Fauntasic. Mostly the usual: doing school, looking forward to the weekends, hanging around with family and friends. :)

How about you?

*waves to Ruby*

@ Flam. "A beautiful sentiment!" ~ The Quiet Man.

@ Jo. Miss JO!!!!!!! So glad to see you in here again! As I'm sure you know from Mom and FB, we are doing very well. :)

*pulls out his guitar and plays "As My Guitar Gently Weeps"*

*Vern eagerly accepts the tray of delicious food. Thank you, miss Jo! The fruit and squid look especially good!*

-----------------------------------

Well, that does it for this evening! I'll try not to let so many days go by without stopping by again.....

*Cor and Vern head for the exit as Vern chews on some squid tentacles*

Good evening to all!

*Cor and Vern exit the Square as the Prince hums a piece of James Horner music.

Avvie by the great Djaq!

*drags herself into the Square and plops down on a bench, waving feebly to everyone else in the Square* Mortereve all! Anyway, I'm exhausted from yesterday. We were really busy. (-| :p

Anyway, here's ketchup. :p

---
narnianerd, my little brother said for me to say thank you for him. :p He had a
great birthday yesterday.

It is hard to speak sometimes with a retainer, NN95. It's kinda hard to make it come out clearly. It wasn't too much of a problem for me, though.
Yeah, but with braces, you can't have bubblegum! Or cotton candy, or marshmallows, or anything soft and chewy that could get stuck in your braces. That's what really annoys me. But, other than that, braces aren't very bad at all.

Ben, which Ranger's Apprentice book is coming out in 2010? Is that the 7th book?

JOHOBBIT!!! You've been gone for ages! It's great to see you back.

Lol, Ruby and Winter! That was so funny, with the private jet and all. :p

*hugs Ruby back* :) Well, yesterday was my little brother's birthday, and we were celebrating that yesterday. And I have three songs to practice on the piano this week...I should probably go practice soon. ;)

BELLA!!! You're back! What? *gasps* No ketchup? :p Oh well. Ooh, you get to visit ericnovak? Have fun!

Really, Mel? I didn't know that was your name. That's cool! I'm assuming you like Ranger's Apprentice then?

Ellesar! Howdy! 2-3 hours of sleep? :-o I could never do that.

Lark!!! Hi! I'm glad you dropped by. :D How are you doing?

---

All righty. Anyway, here comes everything we did yesterday for my brother's 7th birthday :p :
Around 8:00 or so in the morning, we went to Cracker Barrel and had breakfast with our grandparents. Then we had to leave so I could go to my piano lessons. After that we met some friends at my brother's favorite pizza place for lunch. (I had 12 slices of pizza. But the slices are only about the size of your palm. Still, I was stuffed when I was finished.) Then we went to the bowling alley and played two games. I got two strikes! :D But my brother still managed to beat me. Then we stopped by Borders to look for some American Girl book or something that my sister wants for Christmas. But we only stayed at Borders for a few minutes! I had just started looking at a book. Then we went to the Coldstone Creamery, since my brother had a birthday coupon for there. Their icecream rocks. *sighs happily* Then my sis and I had volleyball, which I did not do very well at this week. :( Then we finally went home, and my brother opened the rest of his presents and had his cake. :D

Anyway...mortereve all!

I... didn't? For some reason I thought I had, probably where we were congratulating Djaq on being chosen as a judge for the FA contest. I am remiss! Cor and Vern, your presence has been missed in the Square and it is wonderful to see you again. :D I also hereby officially and heartily congratulate Cor on the honour you have received and wish you many fine entries to choose between.

(Oh, and you didn't meet Vern's challenge. In case he hasn't pointed that out already. ;) ;)))

NG, I like the Ranger's Apprentice series very much. :) Horace is one of my favourite characters.

Mortereve all!

Djaq, well, I guess SMs are a thing of the past... Unless we find a new color. :p *evil smirk* Which Mel has found for us. (Thank you, Mel!)

NG, sorry I haven't got back to you about the link to my book... I wrote this up once but then my comp crashed, so I just didn't get around to getting it to you. It's http://sunriseoflifeseries.wordpress.com/. But in case you lose that link, it's my website on my NW profile.

You might be disapointed that your characters didn't make it into Maralyn. Well, not yet anyway.

NN, on the subject of filming...do you analyze films? I find that the 2nd or 3rd time I watch a film, I'm constantly looking at the cinematography, or the acting, or when the music comes in on a certain scene.

Re: NN's Carbon Monoxide story. "Go to the dark side." LOL =))

malkah, actually my camera looks a lot nicer than it is. :P It doesn't have aperture options nor manual focus. I have to wrok with the different scenes to get what I want. But the zoom is the best of the features. :D

Football is sooo fun! I don't play fanasy, but often my family and I play tag football in the yard. I'm not so much into pro football, but my sister likes Brett Favre, so I kinda root for Minn. as well as the Buckeyes, I am a fan of Florida Gators. Well, more specifically Tim Tebow. I still can't get over the Gators beating the Buckeyes for the National Title, so I don't like saying I'm just a fan of the Gators. What teams do you root for?

*giggles at the Ruby/Winter show* Encore! :P

Mel, may I ask from which period film does your avvy graphic come from?

Aunty Jo, I missed your hugs.

My dear brother Prince Cor, 'tis good to see back in the Square once more...and your dragon too, I suppose. I am looking to add to my collection of soundtracks. As we have discussed that topic much, I believe you might know the types of soundtracks I enjoy. Would you have a suggestion for me?

Well, that's all the catching up, I guess. See you fellow SquareOnions around!

Mortereve all!!! First post of the page!

Aunty Jo!!!!! You must come by more often! *feels happy being one of the few Aunty Jo specifically mentioned* :)

Regarding SMs, I could find the color of the background pretty easily with a Color Picker in a graphics program. However, there are two backgrounds that are behind posts and they alternate from post to post, so you'd have to know which background you were gonna have before you posted to know what color to make SMs. [/ramble] *finds it surprising that Mel's SM color seems to work on both shades of tan*

LOL, another great edition of the Ruby-Winter Hour of Utter Insanity! ;)) You guys should really make a "Ruby-Winter" account to post under. :P

Tsk, tsk, Ruby double-posted! But I guess it's ok since her first post was a joint Ruby-Winter post.

Oh! I hate it when people read over my shoulder...especially when they start breathing down my neck. Anyway, Ruby's off in la-la land and I'm here on NarniaWeb.

If you're wondering about Erubadhriel, I've decided that she's the genius part of me which I haven't quite discovered yet, hence that explains why she's always missing...

Oh, yes, I agree. Very annoying. Especially if you're trying to do something private. Anyway, neither NN95 nor Double N are anywhere near me today, so I can spend some time in peace here on NarniaWeb. Wait, NN95 just walked in the room. He wants to say hi. Say hi. Hi. He said hi. (Ok, this is getting weird. /:) )

Aha! That explains a lot... ;))

I suppose I should catchup? Ehhh. I'm really not feeling up to it right now, so I think I'm going to leave the catchup I'm supposed to do...forever. *gasps sharply/melodramatically*

What? No, don't leave it forever! :-o [-x

Spanish has been going great since we're doing something apart from Rosetta Stone

Yay, I'm glad you're doing something besides Rosetta Stone, and that things are going much better! :D

@ NN. MmmHmm. :) *nods in agreement* Have you heard anything by Christopher Young? He is mostly known for Horror film scores, but he has done a wide range projects. If you look him up, be careful, some of the movies he has done are not.... nice. :|

Nope, I've never even heard of Christopher Young. So, would you recommend his music?

It is hard to speak sometimes with a retainer, NN95. It's kinda hard to make it come out clearly. It wasn't too much of a problem for me, though.
Yeah, but with braces, you can't have bubblegum! Or cotton candy, or marshmallows, or anything soft and chewy that could get stuck in your braces. That's what really annoys me. But, other than that, braces aren't very bad at all.

Well, that's been the big problem for me. Oh well!
Oh, well... I had all that stuff with braces. The reason you're not supposed to have it is that it sticks to the metal, but if you eat the right stuff it doesn't stick at all. For example, they say you can only have sugar-free gum (because it doesn't stick), but I haven't found a single type of gum that sticks!

NN, on the subject of filming...do you analyze films? I find that the 2nd or 3rd time I watch a film, I'm constantly looking at the cinematography, or the acting, or when the music comes in on a certain scene.

Oh, absolutely, I do that all the time. Usually the first time I watch a movie, I'm trying to ignore the side of me that wasn't to look at all the little details, and just enjoy the movie as a whole. Then, sometimes, I'll watch it through paying attention to one aspect. And then, my dad majored in Radio & Television in college, so whenever we watch something on TV, he's always telling me different things about how live cutting and editing and stuff works. :)

Well, I'm off. Mort'reve all!

Thanks, I hope so too!

greenleaf: Hey! I'm doing well! Last weekend we made 350 gallons of apple cider or something. :p Don't know if I mentioned that earlier or not...

Wow, 350 gallons?! Is it complicated to make it?

Yeah Pixar is great!! It was funny! but there were parts that were not so funny... But a lot was really funny!

Yeah, they're one of my favorite movie-making companies (although technically I think they're owned by Disney...)
Haha, it sounds cool I'll have to rent it when it comes in at the library :]

Lol, yeah, greenleaf. :p I absolutely loved how Horace used the move that Gilan had taught him and crossed his knives to keep off Morgarath, or whatever he did. I forget. Anyway, I thought that was really cool.
Ouch! Hope your ankle feels better soon. :)

I know, it was so great! I totally didn't expect that kind of training to help him out later.
Thanks!

Conga-rats Joe and good luck! What position do you play on defense?

Yeah, he also did Ratatouille. That's neat that he did Up, too. :)
Yeah, we've had a lot of rain around here, too, but then we got snow for a couple days. Since then it's been sunny and warm. Hopefully more snow soon!
Aw, that would be neat!

Oh, I didn't know he did Ratatouille too, that's another one of my favorite Pixar scores! He just has a really cool style in music, and I really love the instruments he uses.
Yeah, we've been getting rain a lot lately, but hopefully snow soon *crosses fingers*

Jo!!! Great to "see" you again How have you been doing?

It's been a while since I "saw" you, leafy. How is everything? Yeah, I was real happy about it. :) Though I felt kind of bad for my brothers... :p

I know, everything's going pretty well thanks, and you? Oh, did the rest of your family sleep in tents? I actually kinda like sleeping in tents for some reason :- at least when it's not cold :P
Haha, great story!

*Enters the Town Square after *gasp* 9 days absence!* Hallo, everyone! I certainly apologize for my absence, but it was actually nice not to have to catchup on anything for a week ;) . BUT, that time has passed and I shall resume my old schedule. School, NarniaWeb, read, guitar, etc, etc. This week is going to be rather busy, so I thought I should go ahead and do my catchup post before it gets any larger.

Vacation was fantastic. It was great spending time with the family :) .

And most importantly...I am almost done with Fellowship of the Ring! A mere 4 chapters to go! It may be five, I'm not entirely sure. I am at the part where And I am truly amazed at how detailed Tolkien is! It is really helpful, you don't even have to imagine anything, it's already been imagined for you! SOOO unlike Lewis! Lewis really does leave so much to your imagination.

Fall Back is only a few days away (for those of you that live in Daylight Savings States)! Ah, very exciting! An EXTRA hour of sleep.

Anyway, 6 pages of CATCHUP awaits me..... 8-|

Sí, sólo español. Sí, usted me dijo que usted va a tomar francés.

No dije que yo querid tomaba el francés. Pero terminé la toma del español.

Ed P: Congrats!! Yay! You're getting Awake! That's like the best thing I've heard you say this week! ;) J/K

Haha! Yes, I have bought it. It is AMAZING! I really like the song Lucy. Sad though :( .

*Waves back to Dani* Welcome back, Dani, how are you?! :) :D

;)) Yup, that's long!

You're dang right! And I actually thought it was 518 pages...it was actually 521 pages ;) .

MISSARAVIS! Welcome back! How have you been :D ?! And why such the hiatus [-( ?

Enjoy your vacation! And I'd love to hear what you thought of the ending of Jane Eyre, if you have the time. :)

Thanks, malkah :) ! Er, not sure what you mean? Are you talking about the situation with

*Waves to ForeverFan* Hi, FF! As for the back-pain, let us not think of it anymore, it seems that it is the only thought we have dwelt upon for weeks. How about a new conversation /:) ?

What is your NaNo going to be about? (If you don't mind revealing that information)

Oh... well, excuse me. ;)) Glad you liked it!

Pardon me. I didn't mean for that to come across arrogantly. If it did, I apologize :) . Yes, *sighs contentedly* 'twas quite an accomplishment for me :D . Though I don't see how it took me so long to read Jane Eyre. I suppose the largest change in Jane Eyre would be the language they use. So rich.

Okay, here is the catch up that I have been putting off for FAR too long

Indeed you have [-( ;) . Oh, and I have been meaning to ask you this: when does Tenth Avenue North's new album come out?

GREENLEAF!!! Welcome back! And how have you been? :D I haven't seen you over here since early, early September. Tsk, tsk, It's nearly November [-x .

*skims*

AUNTYJO! Welcome back! And where have you been? :!! [-( No, I'm just kidding. I know you must be pretty busy moderating all of those sub-forums and the Welcoming Committee :) . It's great to have you back though :D !

pick a chocolate (or 500) from the Chocolate Tree

What?! There's a Chocolate Tree growing in the Square? Where? ;)

If there is clear night sky near any of you this evening, look in the south-west-ish for Jupiter and the Moon quite close by. A beautiful sight! (*)

Oh, I would love to see that! I'm afraid it will be too cloudy here to see it though .

Ah, that wasn't too bad. I've had larger catchups than this before over the span of 4 days. The Square must have been slow last week /:) . Good mortereve, all!

*Goes off into the Square Forrest in search on the Chocolate Tree...*

*Wonders whether or not the Chocolate Tree is actually growing in the Square Forrest...comes back to the Square looking for the Chocolate Tree... :D *

I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.

*finds it surprising that Mel's SM color seems to work on both shades of tan*

I admit that I was surprised as well, but for future reference the two different colors are #F4E7C4 and #EBDDB8. #EBDDB8 is the darker of the two, and so will not be quite as secretive on #F4E7C4 as #F4E7C4 is on #EBDDB8. :-B (And does #EBDDB8 remind anyone else of CDEDBD ducks?)

Ed P, the chocolate tree is somewhere in the Square. I'm not sure of its exact location, but I can usually find a piece or two on the ground. ;)

Well, I'm back, for catch up now. :)

Mel: Ah, I see. :) ;)) I presume your cat is not still sitting on your lap, some four days later? :) ;) I've only heard a little about Gilbert and Sullivan, aside from them being involved in musicals (correct?), so I'm afraid I can't carry on an intelligent conversation about them. ;)

Hehe! Oh yes, I know exactly what you mean about procrastination and what not. :) *nods solemnly*

FF, its understandable, not being up to date on those type of things :D and yes, the break was for the entire week. It was like Spring Break except in October! What grade are you in?

Yes, it'd be pretty awful to spill on the ground! Everyone expects that once you are a teenager you don't spill, but we still do! I don't really drop too much on the ground though, it usually lands on me, and then will fall to the ground...so tables are a blessing xD

How are you? :) Thanks! :D So glad you understand. ;)

I'm in Grade 12 currently (although I'm actually doing some college stuff which I started early for the fun of it. Yes, I'm the odd one who loves school. ;) .... I still do find it hard to believe I'll be graduating next year...... If I may, what grade are you in? :)

Heh, yes! And too it's so easy to spill on clothes, and since it's a gathering it's presumable we'd be wearing our nicer clothes, not exactly something we want to stain, eh?

Narnia Girl: How are things with you? :) How has what you have been reading going? (That sentence sounds rather odd, I think). Yes yes, I love the badger lore (which is probably more detailed in books like Salamandastron and the Long Patrol) is really cool, and just their traditions/personalities and stuff. :) And probably their steadiness of character and their willing to sacrifice themselves for the cause of good. :)

How did your Math quiz go? :) I hope it went well!

Miss Rosario: I just remembered I have not yet checked up that song. *scurries to do so* Did you have an enjoyable weekend? :)

Well, there are different kinds of busy. Sometimes there's a lot to do, but I enjoy it all, and feel a sense of accomplishment afterwards. Then, there are things I don't enjoy... Right now, things are the former sort of busy, so it's a good thing :) The tests did go well, if I remember correctly. :-

Oh cool. Glad you enjoyed it. Which episode did you guys skip? *tries to remember anything inappropriate toward the end* :- Yeah, those last three episodes of "A Man Called Smart" are good. I thought it was interesting that that script was originally going to be used for a movie, but they broke it up into three episodes for the end of Season 2. BTW, some friends of ours have been watching through Get Smart for the first time as well. :)

Well, it's mostly that it's uncomfortable and it's hard to talk with it in. I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it, though I doubt that'll happen any time soon.

I know exactly how you mean about the first kind of busy- it's the kind I generally get after being away from the internet for several days. There's usually lots to get caught up on, but once it's all done there is this great sense of accomplishment. :) Of course, I probably wouldn't take breaks from the internet for several days just to get that feeling. ;))

Hurrah! :) That's great about your friends- do you know if they are enjoying it?

The episode in question we skipped was Pussycat Club or something of that title?

I had heard something about them wanting it to be a film, but apparently there was some other TV-to-Big Screen films from that time that didn't do well, so they switched it to the TV shows. I'm glad they did, I know sometimes the entire project is scrapped and no one gets to see it, so it was nice at least we can see it in parts. (Although, I think a Get Smart film with those characters would of been quite fun!)

Ahh, okay! :) Well, I hope it goes better for you. :) How are things (non-retainer wise) for you? :)

Greenleaf: You got to see them in concert? Neat! :) (okay, so seeing any Christian band in concert would be neat, I think!) Hmm, I'm not entirely sure what album that particular song is from, sorry, but from what I've read online I think it's on the album "Hawk Nelson is my Friend".

Yup, it's definitely melted. ;)) It got a lot warmer. For some reason it was just abnormally cold for a couple days. :P Yeah, it's probably a bit colder where you are!

Hehe, yep! ;)) Probably just a bit. ;) How are things for you? :) Anything I can pray for? :)

Wow, that's pretty cool. ;)) I don't really like Hawk Nelson that much, but if that were me, I would find that pretty neat :P

Thanks! ;) (I think?)

WinterStar: I've been pretty good, thanks! Been getting lots of reading done! And you? :)

Fanny, everything's going pretty well for me. :) Life's keeping me busy. ;) What have you been doing lately?

Ah, glad to hear it! :) I've been likewise pretty good, obviously glad to have the internet back (see post right above Ceppault's latest for more on that), but I did enjoy the time without it. :) It was slightly different but still nice. :)

Ditto to this! :) Although there are some things I really, really don't like in the 2007 version, it's not too bad. But there's no comparison with the 1995 adaption.

*nods* I quite agree. ;)

Queen Susan: *waves* How beist though? :) Yes, I do own a NWeb t-shirt, it was given to me as a present earlier this year... I think it was. :)

*waves to Mrs. Jo* :) Great to see you around again! :D :)

Thanks FF!! It was so much fun spending a weekend with family and friends. How have you been doing? I trust you're still in good health.

Thank you dear! Yes, I am in wonderful health it seems- my cough has finally gone away. *is quite happy* :) On other accounts I've been quite good too. :)

I love being able to spend time with close friends and family! :) It's really wonderful sometimes! :)

How are things for you? :)

*waves to Bella* :)

Cor: How are things with you? :)

Edmund P: Sure thing! :) So, how are things with you? :) I see you've been rather busy, I hope that has not been the rushed about sort of busy that's not really pleasant. :) Have you been reading anything? :)

As to NaNo, I don't mind a bit sharing. :D *roots around for a good description* Hmm, how's this?

It starts out in the present day. Chuck Dickenson is an Endmaker, a person who is given almost completed manuscripts for yet to be published novels, and writes a suitable end and completes them, giving them back to the author who sends it to the publisher. (Note, the authors have perfectly free choice in this, they aren't forced to send their work to these endmakers). As he's calling someone on a public pay telephone, a car smashes into the phone booth, sending him back to Victorian England. Once there, he meets the original Endmakers, and for the time being is accepted into their club- the secret League of Endmakers. He encounters authors of the day (Charles Dickens for one), and meets up with other characters in London, where he ends up. There'll be more of a plot line where the characters have to accomplish something as well, I won't have them wandering around London for 50,000 words worth, of course.

Not boring at all. :D

;))

And, it appears Catch up is done. Cheers all!

Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.
(Robert Louis Stevenson)
