Good Mortereve!
NG, I really want to rewatch Peter Pan! That one is good, and I have a friend dressing up as Peter Pan for Halloween, so I suppose I should watch it! haha
Yay for practicing the piano! I should probably do that too...
I'm very envious of your fall, NN95! One time when I was very little, we went up to Wyoming to visit my grandma during autumn. The only thing I remember about the entire trip was seeing the streets lined with trees with these beautiful leaves on them!
And the Royal Princess Thought of the Day is... : Dreams tell you more about yourself than you realize.
(if you want the story behind that thought, just ask)
😀 What is the story behind that thought?
Life is a bit more interesting for me, I think.
I love having nephews and nieces! Lol (about your sister)!
Lucky duck! I hung out with one of my friends who is an uncle and his little neice is the cutest thing in the world, I was so jealous of him! I wish I had neices and nephews
Yes. It IS a LOT... It takes a few hours for 10 people to do it... Usually 4-5 hours. We have people to talk to, and we usually have friends help out, so that makes the time go faster.
That sounds like it'd be a fun activity! It sounds like something my church would plan for on a Saturday or something, and I love the really long activities that help us get to know each other better. I'd suggest it, but I don't even know where to start making cider...haha.
Miss Rosario, my aunt has the same type of impulses! She lives in California, but every two or three weeks she sends us a big box filled with stuff she thought we might like while she was shopping...
I'm glad you came to appreciate the symbolism, MissA, but I don't think I ever will! It was just too awful of a book to read. And I hate symbolism, it makes it so much more frustrating to understand. I would have been completely lost without Cliffnotes!
Wow, NG, what a crazy story about the fire alarms! Maybe it was a firedrill...?
Hello greenleaf! *waves* I read a poem by John Greenleaf Whittier today, and I totally thought about you!
Thank you Meltintalle! I'm glad everyone was okay, and all my friends think its funny. But, they're not the ones paying the car insurance. So I'm pretty disappointed.

*headdesk*
AWW! poor Malkah! xD This question of the day made me truly laugh out loud, although im a little bit upset I never got the chance to answer it because you gave us the answer! Just kidding
[quote="Malkah about The Hunger Games":2fjbfgne]I haven't read a book that had me holding my breath so much in a long time! The cliff-hanger mostly had me worried; what's she going to do to Peeta?
I'll read Catching Fire as soon as I can, and then I'll PM you and we can talk about it!
Okay! I'm almost bursting to say something, but I don't want to ruin it for you! It wouldn't really be ruining it, but still, some people get upset when you say ANYTHING about the book they are about to read. I know I do! So I'll just stay quiet and wait patiently for you to finish and PM me
VeggieTales are the same way; so much of the humor went over my head when I was little. Now I rewatch them and they're hilarious!
So what's your favorite Disney movie?
Oh, I like VeggieTales too! Haha . I'm not sure about my favorite Disney movie. It's always been 101 Dalmatians, ever since I first saw the movie when I was a little little girl. But now that I'm rewatching them, I'm not sure if I'll have a new favorite or not! So I'll let you know after I finish rewatching all of the VHS's that I have!
FF, its understandable, not being up to date on those type of things and yes, the break was for the entire week. It was like Spring Break except in October! What grade are you in?
Yes, it'd be pretty awful to spill on the ground! Everyone expects that once you are a teenager you don't spill, but we still do! I don't really drop too much on the ground though, it usually lands on me, and then will fall to the ground...so tables are a blessing xD

Mortereve all!
Ah, I see. Thanks for telling me about Dragonriders of Pern, Mel.
Oh, okay, MA. I'm only in 7th grade, so I still have a few more years of school, unfortunately.
I take it you don't like math?
malkah: I agree - Dragonquest is a good book. I thought it was so funny how Bardon and Kale disliked each other and fought so much, but eventually became friends and got married after that! I like Dragonknight a lot too. The first half of the book, with N'Rae, I didn't care for as much, but I loved the second half, since it had more of Kale in it.
Yeah, I did like that Toopka ended up marrying Dar. It was unexpected, but in the end I thought that they were cute together.
What'd you think of it?
No snow yet, FF. In fact, it's been warmer outside the past two days...
I really like the badgers a lot.
Lol, yeah, Peter Pan is a good movie, Syd! And so is Return to Neverland.
I don't think it was a fire drill - once we were all back inside again, our youth director told us that they'd been having some trouble with the fire alarms. Still, it was kinda freaky.
Anyway, yesterday we stayed at home, doing schoolwork, reading, listening to music, etc., all that normal stuff. My mom ordered pizza from a pizza place for dinner, and they that delivered that to our house and it was very good.
And now I must be off...have a lovely mortereve, all!

Mortereve, all! It's FRIDAY!!!! The week is over, *happy dance*
Wow, Kitty... that was quite a few pages to catch up on. Glad you've been doing well! I'm in a wonderful mood today... because this week is finally over.
A few months ago I saw one that said "NARNIA", and I flipped out
Haha, I remember that! You were so excited.
Hello, Narnia Girl! Yes, school has been going fairly well. This week wasn't the best, but... it's over now. How have you been?
Oooh, I LOVE your new graphics!
Hm, Nick... I never had those problems with my retainers. *shrug* They must have been different. The only annoying thing about mine was that I had to remove them before every meal, and also keep track of them.
What, you didn't have to study as hard when you were homeschooled?
![]()
Heh, let me clear something up. I didn't really try to get good grades when I was homeschooling. (Sad, I know...) But now that I'm in school, I'm studying SO hard---way more than any of my fellow classmates.
Oh, am I not supposed to let on that we're weird?

Ehh, it's okay. *pat-pat* I think everyone knows that by now, anyway.
*waves back* Salutations!
These new smilies are great

Yeah, I've been pretty short on time for the past few weeks, or at least the amount of time it takes for a ketchup. How have you been doing?
Haha, thanks! I love fall colors, maybe I should coordinate my post colors for the seasons...
I know! I especially like these two: and

But they're all neat. I've been... busy, to say the least. This week hasn't been the absolute best, but I survived! That's the main thing.
How have you been? Hopefully life will slow down a little soon.
School still going well?
Oh, that would be cool! Silver and blue for winter, red/orange/brown for fall, green for summer, and... some other color for spring. Maybe pink, for the flowers.
Thanks, Mel. This week... well, everything just seemed to go wrong.
*sigh*
*chuckles* I've done that before, malkah... plenty of times.
I have a couple of friends whose orthodontist required them to bring in dessert for the whole office staff every time they lost a retainer.
Well... that would be a good threat. Did it work?
I've actually never listened to any other songs by Kutless, Fanny. I don't know how well they sing other pieces.. I just really liked this one.

Wow, fauntastic... well, my aunt doesn't send me stuff that often.

I know! I haven’t realized how much I’ve missed the Square till now.
Haha, you’re so lucky! Although this is supposed to be a pretty snowy winter, and I really hope it is one
September 22nd is Bilbo and Frodo’s birthday. It’s actually pretty cool, there are “Baggins’ Birthday Bashes” that people have as a sort of celebratory thing, they sound really cool![]()
Yeah, you've been missed around here.
Ah, so you like snow, too, huh? We have a lot of snow-lovers in the Square. Hope you get your share!
Oh yes, of course. Ah, that sounds neat.
NN95, your friend thought it was saying "Go to the Dark Side"?
Lol!
My retainer didn't seem to fit me very well. In fact, I remember a week or so after I got it, I woke up one morning and something felt different...then I realized my retainer wasn't in my mouth. I got so panicked. I was searching all over my bed, then I finally found my retainer on the floor near my bed. It must have been so loose that it had fallen off during the night. It was really freaky.
No, I don't have to wear my retainer anymore. Back in April or so the orthodontist said I didn't have to wear it anymore. Then a month after that I had my last two baby teeth pulled out at the dentist's (that was NOT a pleasant experience). So I'm getting braces again later this fall or winter...as soon as my baby teeth finish growing in.
I think the most annoying thing about retainers was that they were easy to lose. Like, if whenever I ate something, I had to take my retainer out. I remember several times at restaurants when I almost lost my retainer because I forgot to put it back in my mouth after I finished eating.
Oh geez! I've been rambling. Sorry...![]()
Yeah, that was funny.
Wow, that's quite odd! But your regular retainer was more snug around your teeth, I assume. Well, like I've said, I haven't had any problems with mine being loose. Both my temporary and regular retainer fit just fine. They're both easy to pop out with my tongue (which I really shouldn't do ) but if I don't mess with them, they stay in my mouth just fine.
Oh yes, that's another thing about retainers. Since I have to take it out of my mouth to each and such, it's so easy to lose. I lost one of my temp retainers at church, but I found it the next day. Though, my main problem is remembering to put it back in after I eat. I'll take it out and then forget about it, and then a couple hours later be like whoops, I'm supposed to have my retainer in. That's what's nice about braces—you don't have to worry about losing them or keeping track of where they are.
That's nice that you don't have to wear your retainer anymore! But that's too bad you'll have to get braces back on and do the whole thing all over again. We waited till all my baby teeth were out and my adult teeth were mostly all in before we started with braces. I don't think I'll ever need them back on again.
I understand where you're coming from. Like how I don't like PCs because I'm a truly hard-core mac fan.
But that's true about stuff not running on macs. PCs have been around a lot longer. And I find Macs more intuitive mainly because I've used them more.
There, see? You understand where I'm coming from. The feeling between PC fans and Mac fans is mutual.
Actually, PCs haven't been around longer. Apple made the first computer (besides IBM).
I suppose whatever you use the most you're most used to, but I've found that PCs are more intuitive than Macs in more cases than just the computers I've used a lot. Ah well, it's just a matter of opinion.
Well, my laptop used to belong to my dad's organization, so the browser was Dell Business or something like that. It worked okay for basic Internet, but wasn't half as nice as Firefox. And then nearly every site started malfunctioning because of the outdated browser, so I thought it might be time for a switch.
![]()
Well, Dell doesn't make a browser. And you can use any browser on any computer (pretty much). Anyway, I have a feeling it was Internet Explorer, since that's Microsoft's browser and comes with every Windows computer. You could have easily updated it, of course, but Firefox is so much better.
Is that good or bad?
I read that you had three tests...did those go well?
Random, but, my family just finished watching Season 2 of Get Smart. For the most part we enjoyed it, although we skipped an episode towards the end (partly because we didn't think it looked good, and partly because our cousin said his family skipped that one, and his Mom and Dad have pretty good standards about what they allow, so....) We really enjoyed "A Man Called Smart", though.
That's too bad about your retainer bothering you...is there any chance of it getting better?
Well, there are different kinds of busy. Sometimes there's a lot to do, but I enjoy it all, and feel a sense of accomplishment afterwards. Then, there are things I don't enjoy... Right now, things are the former sort of busy, so it's a good thing The tests did go well, if I remember correctly.
Oh cool. Glad you enjoyed it. Which episode did you guys skip? *tries to remember anything inappropriate toward the end* Yeah, those last three episodes of "A Man Called Smart" are good. I thought it was interesting that that script was originally going to be used for a movie, but they broke it up into three episodes for the end of Season 2. BTW, some friends of ours have been watching through Get Smart for the first time as well.
Well, it's mostly that it's uncomfortable and it's hard to talk with it in. I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it, though I doubt that'll happen any time soon.
I'm very envious of your fall, NN95! One time when I was very little, we went up to Wyoming to visit my grandma during autumn. The only thing I remember about the entire trip was seeing the streets lined with trees with these beautiful leaves on them!
Oh yes, fall colors are such a nice sight. I guess we take them for granted around here. I'm glad you've gotten to see them at least once.
Hm, Nick... I never had those problems with my retainers. *shrug* They must have been different. The only annoying thing about mine was that I had to remove them before every meal, and also keep track of them.

But I like them.
Yeah! I saw them in concert a few years ago and didn't know who they were, but loved their music so got some songs. Now I'm getting back into it, and it's great I don't know those songs though
what album are they from?
Hello greenleaf! *waves* I read a poem by John Greenleaf Whittier today, and I totally thought about you!

I want to make something Narnia-related, but I can't think what to do. So if anyone has suggestions, feel free to throw them out here
I actually haven't listened to them for awhile, and I'm constantly finding myself singing the songs, over and over. Withdrawal symptoms.
Haha yes, you are definitely showing the signs.
I'm doing pretty well, thanks! Swamped with schoolwork, college applications, and the ACT, but it'll be worth it in a few months. Have you done any new piano covers lately?
Ahh, so you're a senior. Good luck getting everything done! My brother's doing all that right now, and I'm dreading next year when I'll have to Hm, not any piano covers lately except for a couple I did 2 weeks ago, if that counts
Thanks! I take it the snow for you has melted then? *checks up what 60 F is in C* Ah, wow! You're fortunate- the highest it's been around here is about 7 C, which is about 44 degrees... Winter coat weather for us, at least.
Yup, it's definitely melted. It got a lot warmer. For some reason it was just abnormally cold for a couple days.

but I don't think I ever will! It was just too awful of a book to read. And I hate symbolism, it makes it so much more frustrating to understand. I would have been completely lost without Cliffnotes!
;)) We were like forbidden to use Cliffnotes/sparknotes when I did that book last year... the teacher studied the cliffnotes/sparknotes so that she could tell if anyone had looked at them when they wrote their essays or whatever. So I didn't dare use them.
Yeah the symbolism is very confusing, but I came to find it interesting... hee. Maybe I'm crazy.

Aw, I'm sorry you had a bad week, Miss Rose. I'm doing pretty good, thanks. I have a math quiz on Monday that I'm very nervous about.
Thank you! Djaq made them for me several months ago, and I decided to use them again, since Edmund and Lucy are my favorite characters.
NN95, I used to pop my retainer out of my mouth all the time. My mom was always telling me not to do that, but, um...it became a bad habit.
Yeah, there were times when I forgot to put my retainer back in too. It's easy to forget about it. Braces are much easier.
Lucky you! I don't really mind braces - but it hurts when they put them in your mouth at the orthodontist's. That is really painful... But after that, it's not too bad, having to wear them and all.
greenleaf, I also thought it was pretty cool how Evanlyn ended up being Princess Cassandra, or whatever her real name was. It was smart of her to conceal her identity like that. And I love the part at the end of the Burning Bridge where Morgarath and Horace are fighting and Horace wins!
Lol, MA, I'm not very good at math either. I know how you feel.
Yeah, I have five more years...and then college after that... *sighs*

Leafy!!!! How have you been, dear friend?
Winter, ah, cleaning is never fun!
![]()
Well, it can be fun. I remember when we (my sisters and I) were little we'd go over to Ruby's house on Sunday afternoons and it'd always be messy so her dad made us do "five minute pickup" He'd choose a song that was five minutes long and was really bouncy and we'd all run around picking up until it stopped. It was fun then, but other than that it's not.
Winter Star: I'm glad to hear it!
(Well, about it being relaxed, not the coffee.
)
lol, how have you been, lately?
Yep, and look at the top of my post, we got a lot more yesterday. I don't quite live in Antarctica (though I'd love to go there sometime), but I do live up in the North where we get a ton of snow!
![]()
Wow. Yeah, I don't live up North. At all. We do get snow, though! Not till January, but snow none the less. Someone I know is going to Antartica.
I thought surely you said that you did not want to blow something up. Either you wrote it wrong or I read it wrong. Anyway... yes, I want to blow something up, too! Eh, who cares if someone looks strangely at you.
Blowing stuff up sounds so fun! I care if people look at me strangely!
Yeah, I'd kinda figured that out.
I thought you might have. Seriosuly, though, some people don't get it. I don't know how they miss my sarcasm, but whatever.

Random Question: Where does your username come from?
Same here! I love the taste of coffee. It still doesn't live up to the smell, though.
How do you drink yours?
I LOVE North and South. I read the book(which is excellent) before seeing the series, and it was an amazing experience watching the story come to life!
And so beautifully filmed and acted... Do you like it?
Scotland sounds so lovely! What a neat experience getting to live there. Do you have a kilt?
*does not like or do well at Ultimate Frisbee either*
![]()
I drink my coffee with a bit of creamer and a little sugar. I can drink it without creamer, or without sugar, but not black.
I've not read the book, but I did love the series.
Scotland was lovely. Eh, no I haven't got a kilt. Two reasons: a) They're really expensive. b) The only person in my family who could wear one would be my dad. I would love a tartan plaid skirt, though.

I know it's not! I'm sorry if I seemed crabby. I was kinda mad at Ruby. But I'm not any more.
See y'all!

Mortereve all!
Why is the Square so slow on Saturdays? No one has school, so why doesn't anyone get on? Ah well, at least that'll make this a quick ketchup.
Good to hear that, Ben! I'm doing great too. I've been reading tons the past few days.
Lol, I suppose cleaning would be fun then, Winter.
But, yes, other than that it's not.
Um, well, ketchup's done, and this post seems extremely short. (I love that smiley. Don't ask me why.) Anyway, yesterday my little sister, little brother, and I went to our grandparents' house for the day.
We had a great time. First of all, my grandmother and I worked on making costumes for my siblings for Bible Hero Night at our church. My sister is dressing up as Queen Esther, and my brother is going as David. He even made a slingshot so he'll look more realistic.
After that, we made a brownie dessert in the kitchen. When it was done, we all split up the dessert and went downstairs to the basement to watch the movie Mandie and the Secret Tunnel. We had a wonderful time.

Nothing comes to mind right now MissAravis, but if I think of something I'll let you know :]
I'll Have to see it when it comes out on DVD..
Have you seen Monsters vs Aliens yet?
Thanks!
You should, it's great (but so are all the Disney/Pixar movies
)
No, I haven't seen it yet. I'll probably see it eventually though, it looked pretty funny
greenleaf, I also thought it was pretty cool how Evanlyn ended up being Princess Cassandra, or whatever her real name was. It was smart of her to conceal her identity like that. And I love the part at the end of the Burning Bridge where Morgarath and Horace are fighting and Horace wins!

Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool too, but they kinda gave it away pretty early. Once they mentioned the hair I knew it had to be the King's daughter. It was really smart too Oh, that part's awesome! Using his awesome Ranger skills
Leafy!!!!
How have you been, dear friend?
I've been doing pretty good, thanks you? Still haven't been able to catch a Merlin episode though!
They don't have them at my library
Well, I turned my ankle today and I think I may have sprained it (haha, newly found emoticon
) but it's not too bad, I don't think. Should be back to normal in a few days :].
Have a great mortereve all!
