Good mortereve all! :D

Okay, let's try this again... I started this post on Monday, didn't get it finished then, so I saved it. Yesterday, I was going to finish it, but I wasn't able to get around to it (we went to one of my nephews' football games!), so today, I am going to get it done! ;))

Monday morning was my last day of volunteering at the horse ranch/"cluster-of-barns". . .I had a good time and the kids were adorable, as usual! :) I've learned a lot more about working with horses (and the disabled kids), and it's been a really good experience! :D
Monday was also my dad's birthday!!! He was celebrating his 35th anniversary of his 21st birthday! :D ;) ;))

Naw, of course not! :P

Good. :P I didn't think so. ;)

Yeah, that'll be great! 'Course, no one has posted anything yet.... ;))

Mmm hmm! :) Haha, I know. We really need some people to write some entries. ;))

Ah, I see. Good excuse. ;)

You can be kind of mean, you know? /:) :P It's not an excuse, it's a reason. ;)

No, no, of course not. Hehe, no, I'm not mad today, but just you wait until tomorrow... Totally kidding. ;))

First you're mean and now you're mad? :( ;) (kidding as well ;)) )

Alrighty, then! :) Umm, I really don't have any ideas, actually. Do you have anything in mind?

Well, now, I don't think that you want me to pick again, right? ;) I do have an idea though (from flambeau). . . We could do the National Archives scene (the one where Riley is trying to show Ben that it's "impossible" to steal the Declaration of Independence). What do you think? :)

(I know, right? I mean, what's the fun of NarniaWeb if I can't be mean?! [-( ;)) )

Mmm, that is a tough question! 8-| ;)

"... my idea!" NT1. ;))

Great line! ;))
"What makes you think I'd even want to know that?" Spider Man.

Yep, there does need to be another one...... :-w ;))

There hasn't been any news for the last couple of weeks. . . :( :-

Yeah, ours didn't stay for very long either. But that's understandable, considering it's only October. Living up in the North like I do, we always get a ton of snow during the winter. :D

Yes, yes, rub it in. :P ;) We haven't gotten much snow in a few years. . .

Djaq, m'dear, is it Barlow Girl's version of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"? If so, you have me very happy with it now in my head. I want to go set up the Christmas-tree now. LOL!

Actually, I hadn't heard BarlowGirl's version of the song until you mentioned it, but I have since bought it from iTunes and I'm currently listening to it. ;))
I know! I'm always in the mood to decorate for Christmas! :D ;))

"festive" is exactly the word I was thinking of. Yes, around our house as well. We have a brick fireplace in the living room, and when we have a fire in it, it's very true that "I love it more than I usually do". :)

Ooh, talking about Christmas so much is making me want it to come sooner! :D
For the past four years, us kids have made my dad an "Ultimate Christmas Album" of his (and our) favorite Christmas songs! :D Now, it's getting hard to find good songs though. :( Most of our favorites have been used before, and there haven't been many new songs that we really like.
A hug back:

Thank you! (about the comment on the vid) Oh you haven't? It's an Irish folksong, I think...but the song "Lord of the Dance" is also put to that tune.
Re my pierced ears: they feel great! Only if my hair gets twisted around one of the earrings do they hurt any. :p
We're back to the same position we were two PMs ago, so now I'm letting you know that I'll reply soon. :]

Ah, I'm not very familiar with "Lord of the Dance" either.
I'm glad that they don't hurt anymore. :)
No hurry on the PM. :) Whenever you have time is fine with me. ;)

Hmm, my avy I think is from when she was running to meet Laurie in the woods when he returned from college. I think.
Well thank you, dear, and I AM rather inclined to think that I'd be a great deal funnier looking with my hair chopped off like Jo's in that one part. ;) I love Amy's funny ways, her made-up words, her problem with her nose, and her deal with limes. :)) Some of her lines are my favorites.

Ah, thank you! I think that you're right. I need to watch that movie again. ;))
Yes, Amy is quite amusing! ("Your one beauty!". ) ;)) I really need to watch that movie again.

I am glad I made myself acquainted to you right when you came in the Square, graceful or not (at least we remember meeting!) or we may not be such fine friends!

I couldn't agree more! :D

LOL, yes, 'tis so true about our heads having other things in them. ;) "Then that explains it. You're mistaken." (not exactly fitting, but it carries on part of that segment)

Indeed! ;) "Oh, so you knew this would happen?" (Your line was quite good! Mine is still from a Narnia movie, that counts, right? ;) )

*thanks Djaq for her concern over Jojo's head, but alas I must inform you that my right eye has a lump above it from when I did hit it...but not while laughing; I ran into the door, in the dark the other night* ;) lol!

Lol, yes, I read about that on your blog! ;)) It doesn't sound too fun (although, it's a little funny). ;)

Wow! Babysitting till 11:45? You must have been tired. ;))

Yes, it was a bit late. ;)) I was a little tired, but I'm usually not asleep by that time anyway. ;))

Thank you! :) I'm feeling a bit better I guess- though not much is changed. :p Maybe partly because Sunday is tomorrow--my favorite day of the week. ;)

How was your Sunday? :) Yes, it is a good day of the week! :D

Yup. I'm trying to think of something else to say, but MeadowMaid is attempting to play "Away in a Manger" and other Christmas carols on the piano behind me. :p

Lol! Say "hey" to MeadowMaid for me, will you? ;)) I've been playing Christmas songs a ton lately, so I know what it's like from her perspective. ;)
Okay...topic...What have you been doing lately?

Ahh, Djaq, every once and awhile I still highlight the bottom of your posts, looking for a SM. Habit I guess. :P

Hehe, it was soo fun when we used to do that! ;))

*waves to Jojo, Winty, Queen Susan, Djaq, Poggy, and Anyone else I missed* :)

*waves back* Hey, it's great to see you again! :D

Good to see you, too! How have you been lately?

I've been doing really good! :D Things are going well down here! How have you been?
RE your braces: November is coming up fast! ;)

You're reading Persuasion, Djaq? Ooh! What do you think of it? I read it last year and absolutely loved it. The ending's really sweet. ;)

Yes, I finished it the other night (I stayed up till about 1:45 a.m. ;)) )! I really liked it! It takes a little bit for it to get started, but I really enjoyed it!

Wow, Djaq... what a long night! :-o I'd probably fall asleep half-way through. How many kids were you and flam babysitting?

It wasn't too bad...I'm really glad that I took Persuasion with me! ;)) We were only babysitting two kids and they are 12 and 10 years old, so they're easy. ;))
Nice sized post, by the way! :-o ;)

I hope you'll be able to volunteer there again in January- all in all, was it a good experience for you? :)

Yes, I loved it!! :D
I'm glad to hear that school is going good for you! :)

Oh good! :) Do you have any favourite characters so far? What part are you at?

Hmm, favorite characters are Anne (obviously ;) ), Captain Wentworth, and I can't really think of any others right now. ;)) I finished it a couple nights ago (Friday, I think). It's a great book! I want to see the movie now. :)

I want [to enter the FA contest], but I can't think of a story...

Well, I hope that you're able to at some point (before the contest closes). :D ;)
Ooh, the circus sounds like fun! :D

I always kinda wish I had a big family, life would be very interesting. And different. But I was only given one sister, so I'll just have to deal with her! Haha, only joking, I love her to pieces. Even if she can be more irritating than a buzzing fly.

Life is a bit more interesting for me, I think. ;) I love having nephews and nieces! Lol (about your sister)!

Yes, I suppose I could have a few pieces...as long as they don't have any caramel in it ;) .

Yeah, not caramel or taffy. ;))

Lady Liln!!!!! I'm glad that you were able to stop by! :D It's always great to see you!

Djaq! *hugs* Love your avatar!! :) How's everything going?

Rani! (combination of two of your personalities/sides of you ;) ) *hugs back* Thank you! :) Things are going really well here! School is going well, the trees are beautiful, and the weather is lovely! :D How about you?

Congratulations on 100 posts malkah!!! :D

I'm really excited about my idea [for NaNoWriMo], I'm just hoping that I can do it to my satisfaction. :)

Your idea is brilliant!! I love it!

;))
"You'll climb up the slide and then you'll slide down the stairs..."

"It's foreign on this side..." ;)

Hey! Not nice! [-(

Where did I get it, big sis? ;) :P

Um, Mr. Grammar Freak, there's a typo in there. :P

Be nice! ;))

*waves to all and exits the Square whilst singing I Dare You to Move*

:D :D ... :D

*waves to Kat* Great to see you again!
Oh, do you know what happened yesterday? ;) *coughRedcastcough* ;)

Well, I think Winter was able to sum up in one sentence what it took me an entire ranting paragraph to do. ;)) ;)

Lol, I didn't mind. ;)

[spoiler=]Hmm, yes, her voice is pretty annoying. I guess I didn't notice it too much; probably too distracted by her hair. 8-| I know, we lose Djaq, Marian, and Will, and we get Tuck, Kate and Isabella. [-( Isabella was interesting at first, but the other two are just plain annoying.[/spoiler]

I love your new sig! The text is just gorgeous. :)

Thank you! :) I love the text too!

Ooh, please share what you think of it when you finish! That's one of my favorites! :)

*points to the paragraphs that she wrote to Fanny and Rosa* :) I really liked it! I love how Jane Austen writes her characters. She has so many different kinds (annoying, sweet, social, etc...)

He is fun, although he looks rather like he's trying to jog with no feet. :p

Haha, he does! ;))

Well, I just got my regular retainer on. Man, it's a ton more annoying than my temporary one. Oh well...

Aw, I'm so sorry! :(

Whee, good for her! Now she needs to post again. :P

You called? :P

Yay! I think I'm finally done! :D/ Please kindly ignore all typos. ;))

Mort'reve all!

Yes, I know it shows up, but for old times' sake, I thought I'd do an SM. :]

Sounds like a very fun week, QS! I LOVE birthday parties, so hopefully you'll be able to go! Bowling and sleep overs with a bunch of girls...gonna be fun! Might be a bit crazy tho..ahaha And oh my...200-300 GALONS of apple cider?? That's a LOT of cider! I really like apple cider, so send some my way! xD

Yep, it's going to be awesome! I have permission to go... Less then 24 hours away! ;)) (Ok, so it's about 23 and a 1/2 hours...) :p But yeah. It might be kind of crazy. ;))
Yes. It IS a LOT... It takes a few hours for 10 people to do it... Usually 4-5 hours. We have people to talk to, and we usually have friends help out, so that makes the time go faster. :D
Just give my your address and I'll send you a gallon or two... Just kidding. ;))

But now the youngest is 10. They're growing up so fast...

Aw, that's kind of sad. :( And I thought my 4 year old brother was getting too big! :p I keep thinking he's a lot smaller! We were going through his old clothes and I was like "Mom, wouldn't this still fit him?" She says "Are you kidding? He's this tall!" and she measures a rough distance. "Oh."
Unless he's in the room, I think of him as a baby somewhat yet. ;))

How was your Sunday?

It was awesome! I had a fantastic time. :) That evening we went to a free concert by the "Bontrager Family" as well... Which was also enjoyable...

*bounces into the Square, waving cheerfully at everyone* Well, I decided to do one last ketchup post this afternoon. :) I had some free time so I figured I might as well get on here. :p

NN95, yeah, my temporary retainer was a clear type, but it seemed to slide around in my mouth more than my regular retainer (I don't remember very well though - it's been almost two years since I had it). No, feel free to complain, lol. It was hard to talk with both the temporary and regular retainer. I often had to adjust the retainer in my mouth before I spoke.

Lol, pon, could you send me a link to your story please? ;;)

You are, Djaq? :p I must admit that I never stay up late myself...I'm usually asleep by 9:30 or so. ;))

We went to the library today! :D/ ;)) Anyway, I got a book called Eragon by Christopher Paolini...I think that's his name...? :- It has 500 pages...so I shall be busy reading for a while.

Hello, all. Today was the worst day I've had for awhile, so... please don't take it personally if I offend any of you. ;) *sigh*

Yep, I know how that goes, Fauntastic. Heh, I wouldn't have boots, either, if it wasn't for my aunt. ;) She happened to see them in the store and liked them so much, she bought them for me on the spot!

Pretty much, Nick... pretty much.

Really? Well, I'll trade you! I'd much rather have the retainer.... I think. And no, they weren't too expensive to replace.

Well, of course one must study! ;)) I just didn't know how hard I had to study. ;)

Aha, so I'm not weird after all. Or we both are. /:) ;))

(Shhh!)

Yes, Djaq, Persuasion does seem to a drag a bit in the beginning. If it wasn't for my sister, I might not have finished it. ;))

It wasn't too bad...I'm really glad that I took Persuasion with me! ;)) We were only babysitting two kids and they are 12 and 10 years old, so they're easy. ;))
Nice sized post, by the way! :-o ;)

Ahh, well that makes it easier. Toddlers can be (correction: are often)cute little bundles of endless energy. It seems like they'd tire out sometime. ;))

And, thank you!

All right, that's all for today. Have a good night! :)

Okay, here is the catch up that I have been putting off for FAR too long

Going back to page 37...

I've been pretty good too, thanks! Loving the fall weather. How is life for you? Anything new?

Glad to hear you're enjoying the fall weather. It was snowing here about a week ago. ;)) Fortunately, today it was nice and in the 60's :D

Pogginfan: wow, how'd you figure out how to type upside down! :p That's pretty neat!

I had to write an essay on The Scarlet Letter (awful book, really)

I did that book last year in lit class, and I hated it at first, but really we analyzed the heck out of it and I actually came to appreciate all of the symbolism... after I was done with it. :P

Okay, I have to admit, that does sound SUPER fun! I love ziplines and climbing things (even though they are both contradictory to my fear of heights, but oh well).

There were a few people there who said they were afraid of heights, but I think they thoroughly enjoyed it, so you probably would have too! =P

Ahh, very observant of you. Hehe, no, I don't like Macs at all.

Care to elaborate? :P Why ever not? ;)

Merie is the most amazing piano player I know pretty much--she's just 15, but.. wow. Kat, she's probably as amazing as you. (Though I'd say she's more amazing--don't be annoyed that I'm probably biased) ;))

*laughs* I don't doubt that she's more amazing, she probably is more diligent and isn't so lazy with practicing like I usually am
AWWW! Duke is so adorable! I love the picture! :D

You lie! I'm not into Tenth Avenue North. i just like three of there songs and listen to it occasionally. VERY occasionally. I don't see how that qualifies...

Oops. ;)) Well, it wasn't my fault that I was misinformed! ;) :P *throws hands up in the air* =))
Please accept my sincere apology for thinking you were a fan. :|

I was looking at her status a few days ago and it said something to the affect of "is enjoying Tenth Avenue North more than she thought she would *can't stop cracking up every time I watch their videos! They are so dorky!*"

Lol, now I'm confused. Does she or does she not like them? ;))

Amazing, isn't it? Sadly, I haven't been able to hear all of it. Yet. Just a few of their singles.

It's pretty different from the rest of their stuff, but I still love it! And their singles are amazing so I hope you're enjoying those :D I'm so glad you're getting into Relient K! :) They are definitely my fav band next to Tenth Ave.

*has 9 pages left... slow but steady progress*
AHH! I just found out that I am first harp for the Iowa All-State orchestra! :D I sent in my audition CD last week and we weren't supposed to find out until tomorrow, but they posted the results early. :)

*listens to The Rocket Summer, an awesome band(solo project, rather) that nobody seems to know about *

Quinlin! Wow I haven't seen you here in forever! Thanks for stopping by :)

Of course not! I only listen to their music every day or so. That's pretty moderate, don't you think?

;)) If I don't listen to them every day, I start going nuts. When I went to Austria for 2 weeks this summer I didn't have much time to listen to my iPod, so after about 3 days of not listening to them, I started going through withdrawals. =))

As much as I love TAN, paying 99 bucks for an album is crazy.

Yeah, I would never pay that much. ;)) Now if someone gave it to me, I would be ecstatic. ;)
edit for page 49: I'm doing great, how are you? :D Oh and congrats on 100 posts! :)

Hi Emmy! I haven't seen you in here before. I'm MissA or Kat. Welcome!!

*hits page 41*
arrggh.. I need to go to bed soon. ;)) *starts skimming*

You haven't been in here in ages. How are you doing?

I'm doing wonderfully other than being busy! I have to write a huge essay and take an insane final this week but I will survive! ;))

I saw a license plate on a car yesterday that began with the letters KAT, and it reminded me of you.

Lol, that's awesome! :P A few months ago I saw one that said "NARNIA", and I flipped out :D

Miss Rose, hello to you as well! Good luck on your tests! I feel your pain! ;))

hey, Djaq!! :D How are you? Oooh! I assume you've had the chance to listen to the new album? How are you liking it? I may have to check it out :)

Oookay, seeing as I usually do tiny little posts, that was a lot for me. Now I am going to sleep. :P Good mortereve all!!

Umm, only two posts since I was gone? Wow...

Miss Rose, how is school going for you? :)

Lol! I've been busy with school too, MA. I've been real busy lately...I wish Christmas break were here.
Whoa! You saw a license plate that said NARNIA? Seriously? That's so cool! :D

All right. Now that ketchup's done, I have to tell you what happened during Wednesday Night Teen Church last night. About halfway through the lesson, the fire alarms started going off! And they were blaring so loudly! One kid said, "Uh, should we go outside?" and our youth director said, "Yes, go on outside, and don't panic, guys" or something like that. So all the kids jumped out of their seats and got into a line, and we hurried outside and into the yard. A few minutes later our youth director poked his head out the door and informed us that it was safe to go back in. It was weird....we wondered why the fire alarms went off when there wasn't a fire. I mean, no one even smelled smoke. It was kinda exciting, though. ;)) :p

All right, and now I have a question for you all. Has anyone ever read these books called Dragonriders of Pern? I saw them at the library and wondered if they were good.

Whoa! You saw a license plate that said NARNIA? Seriously? That's so cool!

Yeah, it was awesome! ;)) It was like this older guy's car, lol. The license plate wasn't normal, it was like solid red in the background.. which added to the narnian feel :P

Wow, that sounds like quite an episode with the fire alarms. ;)) I hate it when that happens in hotels in the middle of the night, (it's happened to us twice) and you have to leave the hotel and then find out it's a false alarm. Once it was because somebody burned popcorn. :p

Mortereve all!

NN, I left out acting for a reason. Even though I have acted in several of my films, and I do enjoy it, I don't think I'm very good, and also it's a bit difficult to direct yourself. I also am mostly filmming behind the camera, and my fellow filmmakers aren't as good filmming as I am. So my shots are shaky, or not cropped right, or it's zoomed in wrong. *sigh* Yeah, it's difficult to act while telling everyone else how to do your job.
*begins to realize that she's rambling* I love talking about filming. :)

I totally agree with all of that. I love acting, but I don't think I'm any good. And, yes, I know how hard it is to tell people what to do while you're acting.
Yeah, it is a quite fun topic. :)

Mmm hmm! :) Haha, I know. We really need some people to write some entries. ;))

Either it means that people are taking a long time to perfect their work, or nobody is going to post anything. ;))

You can be kind of mean, you know? /:) :P It's not an excuse, it's a reason. ;)

Hehe, sorry. ;)) That's exactly what an excuse is—a reason!

First you're mean and now you're mad? :( ;) (kidding as well ;)) )

Yes, I am. Not really, of course. ;))

Well, now, I don't think that you want me to pick again, right? ;) I do have an idea though (from flambeau). . . We could do the National Archives scene (the one where Riley is trying to show Ben that it's "impossible" to steal the Declaration of Independence). What do you think? :)

No, you'll pick a looong one again. 8-| I'm kidding, I'm sure you'd pick something fine. But, hey, flam's idea is a good one. Where shall we start?

Great line! ;))

"You said so yourself." In Due Season.

There hasn't been any news for the last couple of weeks. . . :( :-

Nope, there haven't been any.

Yes, yes, rub it in. :P ;) We haven't gotten much snow in a few years. . .

Aw, do you like snow? Sorry. ;)) I would send some to you, if I could. :P

Aw, I'm so sorry! :(

Thanks. My next appointment isn't till December and even then I probably won't be allowed to wear it just at night, or whatever the next stage is. Ah well.

You called? :P

"Well yes, but... I thought you'd be older." :P

Yay, an SM! Yeah, it's really obvious.

For me, both my temporary retainer and my regular one fit well in my mouth, so that wasn't a problem. But, since my clear one fit tightly around each tooth and the top of my mouth, it took up less room than my regular retainer, so it was a whole lot easier to talk, but it was still very hard. So, do you still have to wear your retainer?

Pretty much, Nick... pretty much.

Really? Well, I'll trade you! I'd much rather have the retainer.... I think. And no, they weren't too expensive to replace.

Well, of course one must study! ;)) I just didn't know how hard I had to study. ;)

Aha, so I'm not weird after all. Or we both are. /:) ;))

(Shhh!)

I see. Well, I hope that goes well. And, yay for no homework! :D

Wow, really?! Maybe yours is different, but mine is very annoying and it's so hard to talk. With braces, you hardly know they're even there! And they only hurt for a few days after their tightened, after that, you wouldn't know you had anything in your mouth, but a retainer is always in the way, and you have to keep from losing it. [/ramble]

My friend lost her retainer a couple times and I heard they were really expensive to replace.

What, you didn't have to study as hard when you were homeschooled? /:) :P

Oh, am I not supposed to let on that we're weird? #-o

Care to elaborate? :P Why ever not? ;)

Eh, different things. First of all, any truly hard-core PC fan just plain doesn't like Apple stuff, and that's that. ;)) But, there are other things like hardly any software that works on PCs works on Macs and PCs are much more intuitive. Things like that.

Narnia Girl, something similar to that happened once at our church. The carbon monoxide alarm starting going off. But, it was just a test. It was funny, though, the thing kept saying "Carbon Monoxide. Carbon Monoxide." and my friend thought it said "Go to the Dark Side." ;))

Third post of the day. Mort'reve all!

*comes in listening to Hawk Nelson again* I got two of their albums from iTunes as a "Double Take" album, and really like both of them :D

I've been doing great! And you? Yeah its been fun! What have you been up to lately? anything fun?

I'm doing pretty good, thanks :D Hmm...I've been pretty busy (autumn is always a crazy time for me) I got the piano book for "Up" so I've been playing that a lot (It's awesome! I can't wait till the DVD comes out in November :P)

*waves to Greenleaf* :-h 'Ello, there! We've missed you, too. (Yep, catchup posts do swallow up a ton of time. *sigh*) :|

I like the color of your post! Very warm and fall-like. :)

*waves back* Salutations! :-h These new smilies are great :p B-) Yeah, I've been pretty short on time for the past few weeks, or at least the amount of time it takes for a ketchup. How have you been doing?

Haha, thanks! I love fall colors, maybe I should coordinate my post colors for the seasons...

*waves back to Fanny* Ah, I love those kinds of Sundays!

*waves to Greenleaf* It's nice to see you again! Yep, the flashback is book 7, and that must be the next one to come out here!

*waves back* It's great to see you too! Yeah, I'm really excited :D I hope it comes out soon (Although I still have to read 5 and 6 ) It seems like this winter is full of releases...the newest Alex Rider book, the Percy Jackson movie, "Up" out on DVD...:D

*waves enthusiastically to Fauntastic and Edmund P.*

Yes, I have, greenleaf. :D Evanlyn is a really interesting character. I like her pretty well. :) *gasps* Will's not an apprentice anymore? :-o :( Wow. Well, this book with the flashback sounds pretty cool. :D

Yeah, I agree I really liked her, more than...what's her name...the girl Will grew up with. She seemed pretty cool to be too, but I liked Evanlyn better :P I know! I just don't think the books could be quite as good without Halt :((

greanleaf!! It's been too long since you've been in here!

Thanks :P I know! I haven’t realized how much I’ve missed the Square till now.
Haha, you’re so lucky! Although this is supposed to be a pretty snowy winter, and I really hope it is one :D
September 22nd is Bilbo and Frodo’s birthday. It’s actually pretty cool, there are “Baggins’ Birthday Bashes” that people have as a sort of celebratory thing, they sound really cool :P

Good luck with your tests Lady Liln! I hope it all goes well :]

*waves to greenleaf*!!! We've missed you!! How've you been? What's new?

*waves back crazily* I've missed you all too I'm doing pretty good thanks, you? Nothing really new... I've seen bunch of new movies(ah, I love renting from the library :D), even though that's not really news :P

*waves to Ed, narnianerd, Cor, malkah, Queen Susan, poggi, and leafy*

*waves back* glad you had a good time camping! haha, I good way to get out of sleeping on the ground :P

*waves to Malkah, CSLN, and Ti and flambeau and Winty and anyone I missed* how be thou doing?

Have a great mortereve all :]

Mortereve all! :D Yup, I'm doing one more ketchup post today.

MA, what grade are you in, if I may ask? :- I forget.
Solid red in the background? Ah, yeah, that totally adds to the Narnian feel, doesn't it? :p =))
Somebody burned popcorn? Seriously? Man...

NN95, your friend thought it was saying "Go to the Dark Side"? ;)) Lol! :))
My retainer didn't seem to fit me very well. In fact, I remember a week or so after I got it, I woke up one morning and something felt different...then I realized my retainer wasn't in my mouth. I got so panicked. I was searching all over my bed, then I finally found my retainer on the floor near my bed. It must have been so loose that it had fallen off during the night. It was really freaky.
No, I don't have to wear my retainer anymore. Back in April or so the orthodontist said I didn't have to wear it anymore. Then a month after that I had my last two baby teeth pulled out at the dentist's (that was NOT a pleasant experience). So I'm getting braces again later this fall or winter...as soon as my baby teeth finish growing in.
I think the most annoying thing about retainers was that they were easy to lose. Like, if whenever I ate something, I had to take my retainer out. I remember several times at restaurants when I almost lost my retainer because I forgot to put it back in my mouth after I finished eating.
Oh geez! I've been rambling. Sorry...

You mean Alyss, greenleaf? :p I like Evanlyn a lot, but I do have to admit that I probably like Alyss a little better. She's so pleasant and witty.
I'm gonna miss Halt...I love how sarcastic he is...he's so awesome!!!

Anyway, did anyone just see the thing on Fox News with Howard Berg, the world's fastest speed reader? He read like 1,500 pages in 45 minutes, I think...or something like that. :-o
Okay, I can read fast, but not that fast. :p

Wow, Syd, sorry to hear about the accident. But I'm very glad to hear that everyone is all right!

[The elephants are] probably better at hand stands than me. ;))

I know they're better than I am. ;)) Oh, and though I've never read any of the Dragonriders of Pern myself, my dad did when he was a teenager. When I thought about reading them several years ago, he wouldn't let me read them. So, if you do decide to read them, my advice is to proceed with caution. :)

to LL! (My hands are a bit sticky from eating your jello present with my fingers, though, so, um, sorry if I get you sticky too...) I pray your tests go/went well and that you get the admissions stuff sent in before Thanksgiving.

*adds Mel to The List* :)

That reminds me of Gilbert and Sullivan. ;))

Well, I hope that you're able to at some point (before the contest closes). :D ;)

I'm... um... considering waiting until the very last moment so I can win with an incredibly lame entry... ;;) (Actually, I bet the judges have the prerogative to only award the prize if they think the entry so deserving. ;) )

Eh, different things. First of all, any truly hard-core PC fan just plain doesn't like Apple stuff, and that's that. But, there are other things like hardly any software that works on PCs works on Macs and PCs are much more intuitive. Things like that.

I understand where you're coming from. Like how I don't like PCs because I'm a truly hard-core mac fan. ;)) But that's true about stuff not running on macs. PCs have been around a lot longer. And I find Macs more intuitive mainly because I've used them more.

Lucy, I'm in the 11th grade.
Ha, yeah the burned popcorn was definitely not worth getting up for. ;))

Mortereve all! :)

Question of the day: When do you know you are beyond tired and need to take a nap? Answer: When you spend nearly twenty minutes trying to figure out why the Post Reply button has disappeared, only to realize you haven't logged in yet. #-o (-| *headdesk*

Anyway, how are you all doing?

Now you're a Nut! :p

So I am! Nut, Onion, Pea...at this rate, I'll be a whole produce section before long. 8-} :p

Bardon was definitely a stuffy, boring character when he was first introduced in Dragonquest, and he definitely changes a lot in the last three books.

Dragonquest is actually my favorite of the books, mostly because of Bardon and how funny (although unintentionally) he is. He'd be annoying to live with at that point, though.

Did you like that

Spoiler
Toopka ended up marrying Dar?

I had the oportunity to go to an Ohio State football game a couple of weeks ago, and I took along my 15X optical zoom camera.

I don't know a lot about cameras, but that must be a pretty nice one? The picture on your sig looks fantastic! :)
I love football! :D Both college and professional are a lot of fun, and I also play fantasy. ;) Are there any other college teams you like besides the Buckeyes?

I'll for sure get it to you somehow though, I think I know of some ways I can upload it and PM it to you, or something like that.

That would be great! I'll look forward to reading it! :)

My preparation is so far pretty much nil.

So are you going to just start writing and see where you go? ;)

What browser were you using before?

Well, my laptop used to belong to my dad's organization, so the browser was Dell Business or something like that. It worked okay for basic Internet, but wasn't half as nice as Firefox. And then nearly every site started malfunctioning because of the outdated browser, so I thought it might be time for a switch. ;))

I had two of those several years ago (during my year-long break from braces) and lost them both... one in a trash can, and the other out the car window. *sigh*

;)) I have a couple of friends whose orthodontist required them to bring in dessert for the whole office staff every time they lost a retainer.

[quote="Syd about Hunger Games":16itu4x9]Wasn't it just amazing??

I haven't read a book that had me holding my breath so much in a long time! :D The cliff-hanger mostly had me worried; what's she going to do to Peeta? :-ss I'll read Catching Fire as soon as I can, and then I'll PM you and we can talk about it! :)

...have been watching all of my old Disney VCR tapes! I never realized how funny those movies were, because when I was little I didn't get a lot of the jokes. But now that I'm rewatching these wonderful movies, I am always laughing!

VeggieTales are the same way; so much of the humor went over my head when I was little. Now I rewatch them and they're hilarious! ;)) So what's your favorite Disney movie?

I'm so glad you liked Persuasion! :) Are you planning on watching the adaptations?

If I don't listen to them every day, I start going nuts. When I went to Austria for 2 weeks this summer I didn't have much time to listen to my iPod, so after about 3 days of not listening to them, I started going through withdrawals.

;)) I actually haven't listened to them for awhile, and I'm constantly finding myself singing the songs, over and over. Withdrawal symptoms. :p

I'm doing pretty well, thanks! :) Swamped with schoolwork, college applications, and the ACT, but it'll be worth it in a few months. ;) Have you done any new piano covers lately?

the thing kept saying "Carbon Monoxide. Carbon Monoxide." and my friend thought it said "Go to the Dark Side."

:))

*waves back to greenleaf*

how be thou doing?

I art doing excellently, thank you. ;) And thyself?

*waves to Mel*

I'll be around for awhile! *is listening to Josh Groban and Placido Domingo sing together--absolutely magnificent* :-bd

Good Mortereve everyone! I hope all is well with all the SquareOnions here. :) I am pretty good, although feeling a bit lazy and/or slow today. It was raining almost all day and we were out to help move some stuff at the local soon to be new resource center. That was alright, but not "fun" fun, if you know what I mean.

Anyways...on to some catchup.

Queen Susan: Have no fear, yours truly is Canadian indeed. ;) Although I must say I live very far away from Banff and Jasper (although Mom and Dad visited it once...or twice.) So, yeah, if you ever go again don't expect to see me rambling around in a NWeb t-shirt or something. ;) ;))

Yes, up where I live we usually get several feet of snow over the entire winter (although sometimes we get two or three feet in one dump...) although I know in some parts of Southern Ontario, more Mrs. Jo's way, I don't think they get as much.

I totally agree about the first month or so of snow- I'm actually looking forwards to it now (I think there's nothing like a scene of peaceful, unbroken fresh snow blanketing the ground and everything on it), but I know it will quickly change. Well, I don't think it's the snow I mind as much, I think it's the cold temperatures actually. Anyways.

Oh good! :D I do hope that everything works (or has the party gone on already?) well, and that is terrific about getting to go with your friend- is that the Merie one you've talked about before? :)

;)) I quite agree! I've been to some of the horse things (for I shall call them that too. ;) ) before, and they've been mostly fun, except for it seems it's always cold/rainy/mainly cold...which isn't that nice just sitting around in it. My Mom is usually well prepared though- this past time she wore my dad's winter boots, three pairs of socks, three pairs of pants, probably four shirts, her coat, her mitts, and she took a blanket too. Ah, the things we go through for our horses. ;))

Glad to hear it. On the other hand, things have picked up quite a bit around here.

Is that good or bad? :) I read that you had three tests...did those go well?

Random, but, my family just finished watching Season 2 of Get Smart. For the most part we enjoyed it, although we skipped an episode towards the end (partly because we didn't think it looked good, and partly because our cousin said his family skipped that one, and his Mom and Dad have pretty good standards about what they allow, so....) We really enjoyed "A Man Called Smart", though. :)

That's too bad about your retainer bothering you...is there any chance of it getting better?

Miss Rosario: How is school going for you? :) It sounds like you've been rather busy with it!

Ah thank you for the band name! I've heard some of Kutless before, they're pretty good. :)

Fauntastic: Ahhh, okay! (Being a homeschooler, I sometimes am not on the up and up about school breaks and stuff, as most of the time they don't really effect my "schedule". >_>) It must be nice to have it though, is the break for a week in total?

Hehe! ;)) There are hidden advantages to it after all, aren't there? :) I think, if the gathering was at someone else's house, I'd be worried that I'd spill something on the floor and make a mess, or a stain, if I wasn't eating at a table. And I wouldn't want to do that...

Narnia Girl: Any snow yet? :) Ah, glad to hear it! :) I'm glad you're enjoying the Redwall, do you have any specific favourite moments/characters/species of animals? I think my favourites are either the otters or the badgers. A cousin of mine loves the hares, but actually sometimes I find them a bit annoying.

Djaq: A belated congrats to your Dad on his birthday! :D I hope it went well!

On the topic of Persuasion, I do hope you can see one of the movie versions soon! :) Thankfully, you don't have too many versions to pick and choose from, in the area that if there's many good adaptations, it's harder, of course. While I don't like the 2007 version as much (I personally felt the quality was less than the 1995 one...) it's still not horrible and there's some good acting on Anne's part. :) But I love the 1995 one. :) Very much so. :) Will you let us know which one you see, when you see it? :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the story, admittedly it's taken a while for me to fully appreciate the depth of it, I think that was in part to first reading it when I was one or two years younger and getting lost and confused as to the way it was written and such, but now I've come to appreciate it more. :) [/end ramble]

Miss Aravis: Thanks! I take it the snow for you has melted then? :) *checks up what 60 F is in C* Ah, wow! You're fortunate- the highest it's been around here is about 7 C, which is about 44 degrees... Winter coat weather for us, at least. :)

Congrats on getting the first harp position! :D That must be exciting and I'm sure you'll do fantastic! :)

All these fire alarms/carbon monoxide stories are amusing- I'm glad though there was nothing serious, of course. Our smoke detector has recently taken to going off when there is no fire- although we are pretty sure it's because we have a new chimney pipe/stove pipe for our woodstove (our main source of heat...yes....we're country folk) and it somehow hasn't adjusted yet...or something....

Greenleaf: Hurray for Hawk Nelson! :D I like that band, although I just recently discovered them. I love one of their songs in particular, "Not the Same" , because it has references to the city where I was born (incidentally, Hawk Nelson comes from that city, so that's why), and parts like "Then walk on down George Street", "Hockey at Northcrest" or "Remember Portage Place" all bring back memories... soooo, yeah. ;)) But I like them.

Mel: I hope that's a good thing? ;)) How are things for you? :)

Malkah: Okay then! :) I hope it turns out worthy of having you read it. :) How are things for you? :)

Well....I should be off. I have some stuff to do. Cheers all!

Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

*waves back to MA* I was going to comment on your avatar yesterday(?) and say that I really liked the photograph and cropping and was it you and did you take it yourself... and then I refreshed the page and it was what I'm assuming was/is a TAN graphic. So. Perhaps I dreamed the whole thing, but it looked like an overheadish shot of you... and it was really nice. :)

FF, Gilbert and Sullivan is great. :D *says the person who has never heard an entire show (because no one wants to go see Pirates of Penzance when the theatre or local high school does it and I couldn't go by myself :(( ), and couldn't listen all the way through the Mikado recording (which, incidentally, has the song I was thinking of on it)* I'm good. My cat is sitting on my lap, purring. And I'm procrastinating, which is also good. Er. Well. I'm sure you know what I mean. ;)

*is listening to Josh Groban and Placido Domingo sing together--absolutely magnificent* :-bd

I'm pretty sure I've heard that... and I agree with your assessment. :D
