No, you're not the only people that call it that! But, let me tell you about the technical meaning of "dinner". :-B "Dinner" refers to the main meal of the day. On most days, that's supper. However, on Sunday or holidays, lunch is usually the main meal, so it is the dinner on that day. But, people use the terms interchangeably, so it really doesn't matter. ;))

;)) Well, the reason we call it Dinner is because... At our old place we always had the biggest meal at Noon. So we called it Dinner. (Correctly) ;) Since we moved--we've never switched the names, even though we have the big meal in the evening now... But yeah... :p

Speaking of dinner... Like I said in my last post, I need to go make it. ;))

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is well. :) I'm pretty good, baby sitting went well today, which was really nice. I think we've hit upon the way to make sure that everyone- us, child, and Mom are all happy, and it seems to be working, Praise God! :)

Queen Susan: Oh good!

Ah, I see! ;)) So you don't bury them in a snowbank or anything to keep them good until you can drink them? ;)

I've been pretty good, thanks! :) I think my illness is finally passing, I'm coughing less and feeling much better all around, which I'm really happy about. I just hope no one else in my family gets it, some of them have exhibited symptoms like I had.... :( But we'll see. :) Hmm...what have I been doing. Well.......*thinks* *thinks some more* Oh! I found a really cool 88 page British Army drill manual from 1816, so I've been reading that. (Yes, my inner geekiness is revealed) It's so detailed and quite indepth, but it's been quite fun reading it. I love how it's written too- nothing fancy and such, but there's a certain difference between what's written today and what was written back then. But, eh yes.... What about you? :)

Narnia Girl: Right O! ;)) Let's see, I like all of them, but I'd probably have to say my favourite is The Last Battle, or LWW. Which is yours? :)

Aiden What am I right about? And what do you think, too? That's what I always quote whomever I'm talking to—so that the conversation stays within context. ;))

You must have me mixed up with someone else. I'm not reading Persuasion.

#-o #-o Ahem. My apologies. ;))
The first (that you're right) is about the homeschooling group situation/whatever you said last. The second, (what I personally think), is relating to the image looking better as an avatar. The third, thank you! :) I shall proceed to start quoting people. :)

And #-o again. I meant that Persuasion bit for Djaq. *proceeds to edit*

Annnnd now I can depart. :) Cheers all!

Yeah, that's understandable. And, like I said before, it really doesn't matter what you call anything—it's mostly a matter of preference—I just thought I would fill you in on the technical definition.

#-o #-o Ahem. My apologies. ;))

No need to apologize! Really, it's my fault for forgetting what we were talking about! And don't change your method of post-writing on my account. I mean, a lot of people in the Square, if not the majority, write their posts like you, using no quotes at all, and it works just fine. Usually I know exactly what you're referring to (though sometimes it takes a few seconds), it just so happened it was a bit vague in your last post, but that doesn't mean you have to go quoting everybody, if you don't want to.

Yeah, I figured that was meant to be directed toward Djaq.

Ok, now I'm off. Mort'reve all!

Hello all! *Waves*

@ Winter. Ah, O.K. Well, I had seen him around on various peoples avatar and just wondered who he was. :)

Yep, Ryan makes some great graphics. I think NW has an overflow of really great graphic makers. :D

Yeah, I think I'd wonder, too, if I didn't know. :)
NWeb does! Which is good, because otherwise I wouldn't have cool graphics. My graphic making skills are pretty much non-exsistent. :p

Maybe a slightly deeper blue? And yes, Valia is the reason I have so many Arthur graphics. :P Last person I worked on was Gwen though, because I had over 20 graphics of Arthur, over 10 of Morgana, over 10 of Merlin, but only 5 or so of Gwen. After this latest episode, I think I'll make some more of her.

And yeah, a lot of people don't know who Mordred is, despite the fact that he's in the original legend. Most only hear the "Sword in the Stone" or the "Knights of the Round Table" stories. I actually had not heard of Mordred until very recently. The wiki article on him was most helpful in figuring out who he was. :P

Hmm, I'll see if Valia can find that one site with all the color codes. You should make more of Gwen. Then more of Mordred! ;) :D

Well, I know next to nothing about the original legend. I had definitly heard of the sword in the stone. I had also heard of the Knights of the Round Table I'd just never heard the stories.

You mean elastics from your upper to lower braces? That stinks. I never had braces on the bottom. #:-s What doesn't that look right?

Yup. Really? Are you sure they're off for good? MeadowMaid had braces on the top, got them off, and then later got some on both. I was tired and had to try multiple spellings of "elastics" I wasn't quite sure whether or not I'd got the right one, that's all.

Oh I see. Well, have fun at the youth retreat! (Actually, you've probably already gone and come back by now. Hope you had fun!) Anyway, I only catchup on weekdays, and I try to come by at least once each weekday. 'Course, sometimes my Monday catchup takes two days to write. But that's because I don't end up coming around on the weekends. Instead of having a schedule into which I can put NarniaWeb, like is the case on weekdays, I don't have a set time for NarniaWeb on Saturday, so I usually don't get around to posting. I definitely don't have time on Sunday.

Ah. I just post when I'm done with school for the day, and the on weekends when I don't have chores. I have more time on weekends 'cause usually all I have to do is homework and a bit of cleaning.

It is quite fun! Unfortunately, I've never done it either. Must. Blow. Something. Up. ;)) Oh yes, smashing things is great fun.

*Sigh* I do want to blow something up very much. Crushing things is fun as well. :) Not as fun, but still if you're bored plastic cups and pop cans can be fun. Especially at youth events where everyone is ignoring you.

Uh, yeah... sure... /:)

You doubt my evilness?!

Thank you, thank you! Ohhh, you were being sarcastic! :P

lol, brilliant observation skills, there! Well, at least you caught on faster than most people. ;)

WinterStar: Ah, I see! Well, yes, that would change things a bit then, I'd say. But who knows! :) :)

Ouch, six times? I hope it all goes well for you! I'll be praying!

That would.
Yes, six times. Only two more times to go! This year was a lot better than the last three years, we took it at my friend's school and it was a lot more relaxed. We had coffee during the PSAT. ;)) thanks for praying!

Yep, that's pretty much right. And wrong. 😉 You're correct--but I don't like it. *laugh* ;)

lol, neither do I.

Oh, fun!! :D What'd you do at the retreat? :)

Well, we listened to four talk/sermon things about growin the church/evangelizing. And we also played games in the spare time. A lot of people played ultimate frisbee (a common sport in our denomination, I honestly don't know why) and there were board games. and we hung out, and sang Psalms and prayed. Met new people. Ya know, stuff like that. My summary hardly does it justice, but it was really good. :)

*waves to Winter*

*Waves back* How have you been?

And coffee either doesn't help or helps WAY too much. 8-} ;))

You know, coffee (and cafeine in genral) has no effect on me. I just like coffee for the taste. Yum!
Yes, I have seen North and South. Do you like it?

LOL, Winter, I thought you had written that you went all the way to Scotland for a youth retreat. I was thinking that must have been some amazing retreat, when I saw the way the sentence actually was. ;)) Seriously, though, you used to live in Scotland? That's awesome! :D

LOL, it would've been a really good youth retreat, but no the speaker came all the way over from Scotland. We lived in Scotland for six months, while my father was on a sabatical to a university there. It was pretty nice. I loved the weather, and the mountains, and the castles. Round-abouts were a little scary, especially to cross on foot but we survived. :)

Winter, the youth retreat you went on sounds like fun! :)

It was fun! How have you been? :)

Yes, I think they've changed it a leetle too much.

Just a little bit. *Holds hands foot apart* Yup, just a little bit.

Winter, as you might have noticed, I've been goofing around and making some attempts with graphics. :P Not very good, I know. It needs a lot of work.

Hmm? Oh, you mean your avi and sig? They're dreadful. Simply awful. Kidding, kidding, they're better than anything I could make! :)

See y'all!
Edit: My apoligies for this post's strange formatting my computer is misbehaving. I think I got rid of any misbehaving spoiler boxes...Sorry if I didn't.

FF: *laugh* Nope, we don't bury the apple juice in snow. 😉 Not enough snow for that. ;) :p
Oh good, I'm very glad you're feeling better!!! And yeah, I always feel kind of bad when someone catches a sickness from me. :(
The British Drill book sounds pretty interesting, actually! I find interest in odd things (too?) ;) sometimes. :p
And me? I'm doing well! :D I just got home from piano lessons this afternoon--those went quite well. I really hope I'll be able to start up violin in the next year ( ;)) ) But I don't know if I will. :p Maybe it can be part of a Christmas gift. *laugh*
But yep--things are going well. :p And that's all that's happening today.
Tomorrow we're having a family from church over-So that should be pretty fun, even though I don't know the other girl extremely well. So maybe it's good we have them over so I can get to know her... She's 3-4 years older then me--which doesn't make too much of a difference really, just that usually she hangs out with other people then I do. :)
She has my same name actually... So it's sort of confusing when we're both in the same room or something. :p

NN: Seriously, the technical definition was appreciated. ;)

Winter: Oh, the retreat sounds like it was a lot of fun!
And, ah yes, Ultimate Frisbee. ;)) It's a popular sport here too. :p Though actually, I've never played it--but my brothers do quite a bit...

It was fun! I've played Ultimate once or twice, but I didn't enjoy it. I'm not athletic, and I can't throw which means all I do is stand there. Nobody throws it to me, and nobody is worried enough about me to even attempt to stop someone throwing it at me, so yeah... I don't like Ultimate. :p

Well, that was short! I was looking for the substance fairies but I think they hid...

~*~*~*~*~

Anyways, I've come to pour out my complaints again. So. The past month, this has happened:
Oct. 2, 3, 4: The PHF wherein I saw quite a few of my friends, including my best friend, "Merie". :)
Oct. 6: "Music Practice"--which Merie was at--but I missed.
Oct. 9: A bonfire/party which Merie was at--but I missed.
Oct. 11: Saw Merie for about an hour--but didn't really get to have a chance to talk--and there's a lot that's been on both of our minds lately...
This week: Nothing going on.
Oct. 18: Hopefully I'll see Merie at church and that afternoon and we can talk some...
Oct. 22-23: There was a girl's party going on during this time--bowling, and a birthday party pretty much. I might be able to go. But Merie can't.
Oct. 23rd evening: Another bonfire/party that we'll miss but Merie is going to.

So pretty much, there's been a lot of fun events lately which I've missed--and all the ones we make it to, it seems as if Merie misses them. I was quite disappointed--It seems we haven't talked for such a long time... So here I am complaining to you all about it. Again.

But on to happier subjects...

...

(Oh come ON, QS. Life is good. Quit being depressed. The world isn't ending yet. :p)

Hiiii! :-h *listening to "In Christ Alone", Narnian makes herself mildly comfortable on the fountain. That is, ON it, not IN it.* ;) Mortereve, one and all! Ugh, I have been so busy this week, and last, that I couldn't post! :( But here's a quick update on what I've been doing:

Last week I did three days of school, babysat two days (nothing abnormal about that), and then on Friday or something it snowed! :-j On Saturday, Lissa, and I, along with our younger brother and three other carloads of friends, went to an Avalon/Selah concert. It was wonderful, and we love Avalon even more now! Sunday was, of course, a day of rest, after church, and we watched some of the movie "True Women". Very realistic, and rather gory; those poor frontier women!

This week started out well, though wet and cold, and finally the sun appeared today. Anyway, it's been a typical week, except that I have more to keep up on now, since I started a blog! #:-s So busy!

"But, enough about me, what's new with you??" *sits down congenially beside you and asks* I trust that all is well here? * to Djaq, Narnia Girl, Aiden, Jo, flam, Queen Susan, Winter, Ruby, PoN, Cor, and everyone else, as a matter of fact!* Today has been the bestest day of my whole week, though, "and I'll tell you why." -(Westley impersonation) I got a few fun emails from my friend in TN, whom I was not expecting to hear from. It's always nice to get correspondence when you're not expecting it, isn't it? :)

I regret that a catch-up would take too long, so for now I'll just have to call this a post. I think we have part of a movie to watch; the second part of "True Women", I believe.

Oh yes, here's a video some of you may enjoy. It's my brother playing the piano. :)

.

Bye for now! *leaves a plate of the freshly-baked Chewy Chocolate cookies (or Chewy Non-Chocolate Cookies for Aiden) on the fountain for SquareOnions (and peas...) to enjoy* Baked by me, so they're safe! ;) :D

Mortereve all!!

Just popping in to say hi to y'all.

Double N, I honestly can't tell you how cold is the coldest in Texas. Dad says below zero, but he isn't sure about the lowest it has gotten. It has gotten to 1-2 degrees here.

Was it on NW birthday list that you saw that name? There are several Ti'anas on here. Or they were on the other forum.

PoN!! It's good to see you around. I've been doing good. If you pm me then I'll tell you my FB name and add you.

*Cor and Vern enter the Square singing "Separate Ways" by Journey*

Hmm, this song does not reflect our feelings for one another at the moment, does it?

*No, not on my end. And you?*

I'm just singing it because it's a catchy tune. Or would you rather me sing "As My Guitar Gently Weeps" for the 100th time?

*Eek! Gag! Noooooo!!!*

Very well then.

Mortereve all! I trust everyone had a good Thursday? Mine has been very pleasant. It's been raining all week here, but it's been a nice, needed rain. No storms thankfully. :)

O.K, catching-up!

*Cor and Vern take their seats at the fountain and begin....*

--------------------------

@ Betsie. First off..... :-o :-o :-o That post is HUGE!! O.K, now for responding to your post.... *hopes he does not get lost*

Oh, you two are most definitely missed around here. :D Now we just need to get Destined to stop by.... Really? And pray tell, what other nickname would you be thinking of bestowing on my person, Miss ( ;) ) ?

*is slightly puzzled over Betsie response to his , but decides not to ponder it further.*

Quite welcome, Miss Betsie! *Indeed! Quite welcomed!*

@ Malkah. Welcome! How are you doing now? Are you any better? Hmm, favorite piece.... probably at the moment it would either be "Deciding to Build the Field" or "The Place Where Dreams Come True". :)

@ NN. I'm the same way, though there are exceptions. (Princess Bride and Field of Dreams being the main ones.) I also usually prefer full orchestra maybe with some electronics thrown in, but mostly real, organic instruments. :D

@ My dear sister. Eh, well, I'm sure it will get more interesting when I get job and such. Does sound somewhat boring typed out, nu?
Yeah, that works. :p

You have FB now? If you want, I can PM you my name on FB so we can become "friends". :) (that still sounds weird to me!)

@ Fanny. Quite welcomed. Glad to be of service! :) I have never had anyone ask me that before.... ;))

*waves to the Siren known as JillPole* Tis so good to see you around the Square!!

@ Winter. Yes, it's like seeing all the talk of TAN and wondering "Why is everyone talking about TAN? Also, what's TAN?" :p It took me a while to figure out TAN was Tenth Avenue North.

Haha! Same here! I've never made a single graphic in my years of being on the forum.....

@ Jojo. Glad to see you stop by this evening! *grabs a few cookies for himself and Vern* Mmmm, these are great! :D

-------------------------------

Alright, that does it for me this evening. I hope everyone has a wonderful night and a good Friday!

*Cor and Vern exit the Square humming a variety of songs*

narnianerd: That is a pretty creepy dream.

NN95, you had said that you were 1/4 through school, and I said that was great, then you said that if you think about it the other way you still have to do everything three times again, so I told you that it was better to be optimistic. :p
And it rained almost ALL day yesterday! So yesterday was very gloomy for me. And it's drizzling right now... *sigh*

FF, my favorite book changes a lot. But right now, it's either The Silver Chair or The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

I'm doing wonderful, thanks, Winter! Except it was raining a lot yesterday, and it's supposed to rain today and on the weekend too. :( But other than that, I'm doing awesome! :D How are you?

Jojo!!! It snowed?! Lucky you! We had rain. And my best friend, who lives on a mountain, had snow flurries at her house. I'm very jealous of you two. ;))
Hey, that video of your brother is cool! He's a really good pianist.
*takes one of the Chewy Chocolate cookies and bites into it* Yum! :D

Anyway. It rained practically nonstop all day yesterday until 3:00. But the rain started again later that evening...and it just kept pouring down. *sighs* But yesterday was still a wonderful day! :D Because... 1. I got to join the forum on dragonsinourmidst.com. I love the Dragons in Our Midst books... 2. At dinnertime yesterday evening, my mom said we could listen to a Christmas CD while we ate dinner. So she put one in. It started playing...and it was a Gaither Vocal Band Christmas CD that my sibs and I have been dying to have! We were so excited. :D

Yup. Really? Are you sure they're off for good? MeadowMaid had braces on the top, got them off, and then later got some on both. I was tired and had to try multiple spellings of "elastics" I wasn't quite sure whether or not I'd got the right one, that's all.

Well, the ortho gave us a choice a few weeks ago. Any problems that braces would fix on the bottom aren't really too important. So, our choice was to get braces off or to get full braces, and we decided to get the braces off. So, I really don't think I'll ever get braces back on.

Ah. I just post when I'm done with school for the day, and the on weekends when I don't have chores. I have more time on weekends 'cause usually all I have to do is homework and a bit of cleaning.

Ah, I see. I wouldn't have guessed that it would get that cold down then. But, then again, it gets hotter up here in the summer that you would think down there. ;))

No, it was on the birthday list at my orthodontist's, so it was someone's real name.

@ NN. I'm the same way, though there are exceptions. (Princess Bride and Field of Dreams being the main ones.) I also usually prefer full orchestra maybe with some electronics thrown in, but mostly real, organic instruments. :D
