*Runs into the Town Square looking for his jacket* It has gotten rather chilly on us here! It was 65 this morning and by mid-day it was 58 . Time for some hot chocolate ! I'm at the part in Jane Eyre where
For my Christmas present to myself this year, I have decided on getting the new iPod Touch ! All of the advances are irresistible . And it is quite surprising that the new 32G is only $279.00! I recall that the old 32G was about $400.00 I think . So, I am quite excited.
I am also happy to say that a friend let me borrow Pinnacle today! For those of you who don't know, Pinnacle is a very nice video editing software. I'll probably install it tomorrow !
CaTcHuP
*Waves to Bella* How are you ?! Ahh, I see that you are using Firefox now .
Edmund P: Hurrah for hardly any school work! How has the rest of things been going for you?
Haha, yes ! The rest has been going well. Today has been pretty rainy and cold here. I was going to enter the NaNoWriMo...but my parents think that I don't have enough time for that sort of thing. I was rather disappointed . And I'm affraid my back has gotten even worse . Other than that, I've been great! *tries to think of a new conversation*
Wow, Edmund P, you sound like quite the iPod person! I LOVE all the applications for the Touch! And Yes, as soon as I got it I went right to Best Buy and got Ghost Armor on my iPod! I also ordered a case from Amazon that should arrive anyday...I don't want anything to happen to my baby! xD
Well, not really . My friend on the other hand is quite the iPod person . Good! Yes, all of the money you spend on it, you don't want anything to happen to it! I assume that you the 3rd generation with voice control ? If so, can you make it to where it talks to you in a British accent ?! When I get my new one in a month or so, I'm definitely going to put it on English (UK)!
*chuckles* Thank you for... er... letting us know that NarniaWeb takes up 0.0001111111111111 (or whatever the percent was) of the population, Ed P.. I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that I am actually liking math now. Something changed dramatically after I started school, I guess.
Aww, thank you for the warm welcome-back! I've... umm... been neck-deep in homework, I guess. Good to see you again, too!!
Haha ! Your welcome! What? Liking math? Great!
Your welcome, Rose . I hope you don't get too bogged down in the midst of it all.
I find that rather interesting actually... Who knows why--I'm NOT a math geek. At all.
Oh, really? Yay ! Well, I'm not a math geek either. I enjoy it, but I'm not a geek about it.
Great new vlog, Edmund P! As we've discussed, I agree with just about everything you mentioned.
Thanks, NN! I'm glad you liked it !
Está bien.
No comprendo. Tomo español. ¿Qué está preguntando? Pienso que el traductor arruinada la pregunta, porque no la comprendo.
Me alegro usted está bien.
¿Pregunté tome que usted otra lengua este año? Sí, el traductor probablemente lo arruinó.
You mean, the LotGK was originally in the VDT script? Yikes! I guess we'll just have to sweat it out.
Yes, I'm afraid so .
Ah! Done. Have a great mortereve everyone!
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.
[CSLN walks into the Square with her hands behind her back, whilst whistling and doing a jump-trot-waltz. ]
Hello All! *sigh* today has been a lovely day. My mom made this tasty curry today, which was amazingly, fantasically, delicious. [sigh ] And, my dad brought some bagels with some tasty pumpkin cream cheese on them, which was tasty too.
Anywho, Aitb came up with a lame pun (a sort of pun), but it was absolutely hilarious!
Errm, isn't this emoticon....something --> >.>
*waves back to CS and gives her a hug* How are you doing?
D'aww! Hello NG! I'm doing very well, and vous?
Glad to hear it. School is going equally as well. How about yours? How's Spanish coming along?
Coolio Coolio. School's great. Geomtery and Physical Science have become very enjoyable subjects. Spanish is going pretty well too.
Hurray, Lazarus saves the day again! Isn't it splendifurous?
Lol, it certainly is. I was so happy that the post was saved! You've no idea what its like to lose (or in this case "lose") a post when you've just nearly reached the end. Well... maybe you do.
Splendifurous? I know that "Splendid" in in there, whats the rest?
Ella: Aw, thanks! Although I must say, I didn't make the Maple Leaf Forever bit up. It refers to two things- #1, a very cool historical song relating to Canada (with mentions of some of my favourite historical heros *cheers*) and, to me, my favourite NHL hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs...who are always around we love 'em even when they're doing bad. But um, yeah.
Lol, I see. I'm glad to know about the name of Maple Leaf Forever Overall, its a lovely name. Reminds me of Autumn for some reason.
My avy is just a stock photo of a castle...I made it sometime last year and recently found it on my sub computer when browsing through files.
Ah, I see. I thought it was Miraz's castle, but then I remembered that there was no lake near the castle.
Well, its a really pretty avvy, very clear, with a soft touch.
Well, I shall be around! G'mortereve all! [goes and sits near the book tree, plucks off a book, and goes to read her book].

Every time I think of a quote or witty comment to put here, the quote is not so spectacular and the comment is not so witty.
*Cor enters the Square, being sure not to stumble over CSLN on his way to the fountain. Though, being sure to tip his hat to lass*
Mortereve all! Quick catch-up!
@ Ryan. Oh good, it always feels strange saying "so-and-so is really good at being a bad guy" or "so-and-so looks really creepy in [name movie or TV show]" Hopefully they'll bring his character back then, so that you wont be forced to watch two episodes over and over and over and over.....
@ NN. James Horner, it's one of his late 80's scores. So far I'm really loving it! It's one of the few synth heavy scores that I really like, though the full orchestra finally appears in the last three tracks. A very beautiful score.
@ Fanny. Well, I'll just point you up to my comments to NN to answer how I like my new CD. ^^ That's a good question, the answer is yes. Several of my soundtracks go to films that I have not and probably will not see, ever. (Alien, Aliens, the two the Fly scores, Jurassic Park II, Tim Burtons Batman, The Dark Knight etc) It's actually more fun sometimes to listen to scores to films that you have not seen and come up with your own film in your head. (this is especially handy with horror scores, you can get the emotional effect without dredging up memories of disgusting scenes.) Some people may say that's "bad" to do, but I do it quite often. So, if your interested in a score, I say go ahead and listen to it.
That's probably more information than you wanted ( ), but I hope it helps.
@ Edmund P. Congrats on getting a new iPod Touch!!! I've been wanting one of those for a while, but other things keep taking my money.... (CD's, DVD's.)
*waves to Miss CSLN* I hope you're enjoying your book! Ya'lls supper sounds great! I really like spicy foods.
-----------------------------
O.K, I better get back to the castle. Mortereve all!
*Cor exits the Square humming a cheery tune*
Avvie by the great Djaq!

^ Short tribute to James Horner (1953-2015)
Wow, this thread is picking up now--A lot of replies since 24 hours ago...
And how have you been faring lately? I saw you're doing NaNoWriMo this year. That's really neat!
Quite well!! And you? 😀 Yes, I'm very excited for NaNo! I assume you are too? Anyways--I'm pretty sure I added you as a buddy on there... but I can't remember your username over there.
Because, it was the sort of think Queen Susan the Gentle nver would've done. Ya' know? Then again, it was probably just the writers trying to make it appeal to more audiences.
Yep, that's pretty much right. And wrong. 😉 You're correct--but I don't like it. *laugh*
You've never taken a pain pill in your life? Wow. You are blessed.
This weekend I went on a youth retreat which was really fun. It didn't snow, but it was really cold.
Oh, fun!! What'd you do at the retreat?
*waves to NN* Sorry I have nothing to say. That seems to happen a lot.
I think it's alright to want to see your friends more often.
How are things going for you?
Well, I certainly hope so, because I sure want that a lot. *laugh*
Things are going well!! Today we made applesauce... It was tiring, but I'm glad we have some homemade applesauce on hand. What've you been up to?
Ed P: A new iPod touch, eh? Cool! Have you bought that laptop already then?
And how about that CD you need??? You know--"Awake".
Well--Goodnight all!! I'm off to--do other things.

Hey-Ho, Everyone! Would you believe it? Betsie is doing The Catch Up Post That Consists of Forty Three Pages And Is Looked For By *counts* *tallies* *recounts* *tallies a second time* *adds* *divides by population of Narnia* *admires a few imaginary houses on an imaginary street that she went down to see if she could find a certain learned mathematician's dwelling to consult him on these numbers* *clears throat* One Person.
Page One.
Nothing there. Except for an avatar of my least favorite actor in the world.
*recovers*
Moving on....
*procedes to acknowledge and honor anyone who mentioned Betsie in any way or shape &c.*
Firstly, Happy Belated Birthday, Betsie!!
Yay!!! *does a happy dance* Thank you!
Haha! The Council of Elrond...
That's where I am right exactly now! I'll read that tonight if I don't take too long catching up.
Haha, yeah I often finding myself saying that. However, it's interesting to note that it never really is "tomorrow". It's always today.
Don't make me hate you, and don't give me more fodder for disagreement.
Fanny! *hugs* Ever heard of Pie Town?
Thank you for the Birthday Wishes, Edmund P!
*waves to CSLewisNarnia, despite being frightened of being an upstart*
Djap! (Sorry. Did you ever figure that out?)
I think Betsie has had a birthday? Many happy returns of the day and wishes for many more such pleasant events, Betsie!
Do you know that "many happy returns of the day" is one of my very favorite sentences? Thank you.
*skims*
Queen Susan. I really don't quite understand this, and am beginning to become vaguely disturbed. Why this attachment to me? You become delirious and grovel on the floor at the mere mention of my name. It really frightens me. I ask you, why? Though such devotion is... touching, I really am at a loss as to what provokes it? For while I'm very fond of you, I don't think we know each other sufficiently to become so... enthusiastic over one another. Especially when I do not see you to be of an excitable, flighty nature. Thank you for your affection, but...
Can anyone send me to a place which would teach me how to do links? Or are such things nonexistent?
I wish "better" didn't begin with "Bet."
No one mentioned me on pages 7, 8, and 9. This is really helpful to me, in getting a realistic self image.
Look!
We're only missing Jojo, Betsie and Destined and then we'll have everyone.
Aww. Glad we're missed. I'm not sure I named you well. I don't like popular names, for the sake of their popularity. And, well, then other people might think those names are because.... (With me, they never are.)
I'm afraid I'm missing something on all these pages I'm skipping through. (Skipping is such a delightful thing, don't you think?) But I never really read through, completely, without skimming, anything on this forum, except for once. And that was really fun and interesting. But now I'm too tired.
I do promise to do a For-Real-And-Very-Long-Or-at-Least-I'll-Think It's-Long-When-I-Start-But-Will-Realize-When-I've-Finished-That-It-Is-Actually-Not-One-Wit-Phenomenal-Catch-Up Post at some mythical point in the future.
You should know that I don't break my promises. But I don't usually fulfill them until it's so late that it might be considered broken. Not good.
So if I notice the world changing, does that mean you're not involved?
Oooh, I love it! Yes yes yes!! (I had a very clever response to this back on 9th September. I did.)
*waves back to pogginfan* Have we met before? I'm so sorry if I've forgotten about you! I'm glad to have made you laugh, if you were telling the truth. (Which I doubt, not because I doubt your honesty, but because I never ever thought in a million would be years, in a billion maybe worlds, that I could be funny.)
*waves happily to NarniaGirl*
*listens to Marc Scibibilia*
*waves to Johobbit* Hello! You make me happy.
But for now I will assure you that I am alive, and like the New Narnia Web (which I call in my head NewWeb... and did even before I knew about the NewWeb), even though I haven't spent 1/47th of the amount of time I should do form an educated opinion.
I, for one, could not understand that. But oh well... Welcome back. 😀
I've m-m-m-m-m-missed you!
You couldn't understand that? Oh, I'm sorry. You have to take it slow. That's the only way I could understand it.
And Djaq... You're the only NewWebber whom I think of as looking like Queen Susan. Tons of people have her as their avatar, but I never think of them as looking like her. And I've seen you're picture. Crazy, isn't it?
Haha, really? That is a little crazy. Where have you seen my picture?
You had a picture of yourself for your avatar, didn't you?
BellaNotFromTwilight. Did you once, somewhere (over the rainbow, or in my dream) talk to Destined about Sherlock Holmes? I read the complete volume a few years ago, in a two or three months. And then my brother read it. It was a library book. And we had it checked out for at least 13 months. Now I own it. Not the same copy, though. And we didn't have to pay any fines or anything, because we have/had the most lazy library, and could renew our books until eternity, if we so wished.
*sends to: ... Betsie*
I just won't say anything else.
*sends many happy and warm regards to Betsie* Glad you're back around!
Thank you!
Alyosha
(Some people are born Narniawebbish and some have Narniawebishness thrust upon them. You and your sister and MissAdventure and malkah and Betsie and someone else I cannot remember at the moment come to mind for the latter category. I most certainly was not, but that's ok. )
.
Where do I fit?
Queen Susan... pipe down. It's okay.
*waves to MeadowMaid*
I dunno *where* Betsie is. Actually, I do have a pretty good idea . . . probably at her house.
Howdja know? I know how. 'Cause that's where I live. AHAHAHA!!! Good joke? No....
But I wish she was "here" as well.
Aww. (How do you say that in Sign Language?)
I miss her. 😉
Why?
July 18th, 2087 sounds like a perfect day to do a ketchup.
You sound a teeny bit like you... don't want me around? Though I don't blame you.
Fanny. I'm glad you liked that picture of my books. I didn't. I thought it was really bad. I have 172 books, not counting the ones on the shelf downstairs that I got when I was little, and I haven't separated yet, or the four that are supposed to be in the mail, from my Amazon giftcard. Yes, I like my books a lot. Yes, I keep a list. Yes, they are orgainized by color. Yes, I think about them and gloat over them too much. No, I haven't read them all. But most of them.
Betsie!!!!! You can put your catchup off until 2087, but you have to post between now and then.
Meany.
"Maybe on July 18th, 2087" Oh dear! Please don't wait THAT long!
Guess what today is?
Djaq. How's the alphabetizing coming? I love that.
If you don't catchup until July 18th, 2087, Betsie, you might be reading all the posts for a year...xD
Hello. I am writing to you from my nursing home. I have had a very enjoyable and busy time here. These places are dull, you know. But I planned ahead. I brought a bunch of knitting. And back when I was a kid, I promised to do something when I got old. Something that would take a whole year to do. And look! I'm the happiest and busiest person here! (Not The Happiest. That's a guy who is totally off his rocker on the other wing. Everyone envies him. Not The Busiest. That's a crabby nurse who doesn't have any time. But I am The Happiest And Busiest!)
Betsie!!! *waves back to Betsiewho'sgotinmyheadthatsong and then gives her a bug hug-tackle!* It is wonderful to see you! How have you been doing?
And, I saw your collection of books in the Books thread! Wow! I am blown like..like...like a weak leaf in the gusty Fall wind! So many books, and so many lovely ones too! May I come over, pretty please?
*HugBugTackles back, but better.*
You like my books? I do too. And that's nothing, compared to what I want to have in forty-one years.
Will you come over? Do!
*waves to Betsie, but fails to see her name mentioned... weeps* Jk, I hope you art fairing well, I haven't seen you in the Square for quite awhile, you must join us more often! I do so enjoy reading your posts.
I'm glad. I'm dreadfully sorry I forgot you!
*waves to Betise*
*waves to NarniaGirl again*
*waves back* I most certainly am! Pray tell, why did such aliens replace your siblings? Was it of their own choice? Perchance, that of the aliens? I, on the other hand, have not been replaced by anyone, but am an alien by birth.
Umm... They never told us. Or, Quinch never did. My sister wasn't replaced. She just pretended.
It makes me feel special to find an old post, where you call me Bets
You called me Bets
I responded everything by just finding "Betsie," so I hope I didn't miss anything or anyone important who used one of my alternate names...
Boy, that seems kinda contradictory, doesn't it?
It's called relationships. And reading at first, and skimming secondly.
Queen Susan. You touch me... Yes, I eavesdropped on you and Destined.
Speaking of Destined. Where are you? At your house, right?
Lady Liln. I like greens and browns and gentle colors, Gentle Listener. Ever listened to Focus on the Family Radio Theatre's Ben Hur? *cogs work as the inspiration for a new nick name comes on...*
Hey, Valia!!
(On the Fox---maybe the little ones were cutting their teeth? )
Oh, I like I like I like that idea! You are brilliant! (I think that's the first time I've ever told anyone that.)
Fanny. I'm ISFJ. And I've almost talked too much on MyersBriggs. And I'm too tired right now to say anything.... But I will probably be thinking about it for a long time... so I'll say more later.
Who said anything about beating a dead horse?
*I gave that up for lent.....*
That was uproarious! Thank you!
*waves merrily to flam, or P.P., M., M.C.* Guess what? My brother and I are going to attemp the feat of doing Manalive! for a speech. I'm excited and frightened. And I did an Innocent Smith sort of thing yesterday. I was sure he must be lurking about.
*waves to Winter*
*waves to Edmund P.* You called me Bets, which rather frightened me.
*Waves back* What? Why did that frighten you? You don't like nicknames?
Well... just because I don't know you that well. I'm curious that way. *waves* Hope your day is bright and sunny! (Or shiny.)
predictabkle
I like that word.
Djaq. Still humming Nickel Creek....
*toddles down the home stretch*
Queen Susan... You're still at it. Must I always be near you for you to be mature?
I've done it! In only two hours! And I was Distracted! !!!!
I'm too busy and tired and lazy to remember everyone... but I must wave to Joho. *waves* I miss you!
Sorry for this hodgepodge. I'm a hedgehog. Or not. And I'm going to leave all of the (potential) spelling mistakes &c. &c. &c. until tomorrow or never. Goo'night.
Perpetual Member of the Manalive Conspiracy!
*bursts into the Square shaking all sorts of snow about*
Yup, it's that time of year to start singing "I'm Dreaming of a White Halloween" - no wait, I guess we are a bit early. But it snowed most of the morning, and there's still snow in the trees and yards. While it's rather pretty it *is* just a bit early for winter. The leaves haven't even changed much yet!
I must say, the latest News Headline ("Star Gazing") got my attention! I had a fleeting thought that it could be about Narnian astronomy in navigating the Dawn Treader.
Speaking of astronomy, if it's clear tomorrow morning in your town, check out the view to the east around 6:15 local daylight time. Saturn will be extremely close to bright Venus with Mercury nearby (more here).
And because that's coming in just a few hours, soon I'll be off to bed. Good night (or mortereve) to all!
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Mortereve, everyone! Hope you've all had a wonderful day!
Wow, the Square really picked up!
I think my sister does want her ears pierced but she's nervous.
I can understand that. It is rather scary beforehand, although so worth it afterwards!
You think Fairest is better than Ella Enchanted? I'll have to read it soon; maybe our next library trip.
No need to be too scared I managed not to run over anybody.
I know, and if the memory doesn't go, it's the sanity that does.
And coffee either doesn't help or helps WAY too much.
I really enjoyed watching the video blog, Edmund P!
NarniaWeb takes up 0.000111111111111% of the population.
Really? I don't know whether to be disappointed it's so little, or thrilled it's actually that much.
I am only doing some exercises to help...but the exercises are so painful .
I'm really sorry to hear that. I'll be praying that starts feeling better for you!
I hope everybody in your household gets well soon !
Thanks! We're doing much better now, and hopefully we'll be immune to the virus for the rest of the winter.
Nothing comes to mind right now, but I'll think of something!
That's fine!
The Trail of Tears story sounds like it's going to be really interesting! Are you planning on making a cover?
Pretty much run-of-the-mill flu, affecting some very hard with other known health problems.
Yes, I'm really thankful that if there had to be an epidemic, it's a virus like this which seems to be hitting most people mildly.
Fanny, everyone's feeling quite a bit better, thank you. I've been doing well; a lot of reading and planning for NaNo. We've had a sudden spell of very cold, snowy weather and I love it! How have you been doing?
Hmm, I think I read that Dear America as well, and there were a few things that I'm not sure were quite necessary for younger readers. Some of the Dear America books are really good, but that isn't one of them, I think.
I usually wait if I find something good that early...because they could get it during the year, or maybe won't want it by the time Christmas rolls around. But maybe thats because my family can't make up their minds!
Hehe, that does happen sometimes, although if I'm shopping that early, it's usually something they really, really wanted but for one reason or another couldn't get. It's also worked much better as my siblings have gotten older and less...changeable.
Have fun at Disneyland! It sounds like an awesome trip!
*giggles at PELS' cellphone story*
I'm giving P&P a second chance to read, and it's coming on better since my deciphering for some books has improved than when I read it a while ago.
So is this a reread or a retry?
Queen Susan, I have the beginnings of a plot figured out. It's going to be a fantasy story about five young slaves and the different ways a person can be captive, either physically, mentally, or emotionally. I'm also doing quite a bit with the motif of gold/sun and what happens when a society becomes centered around "progress". I tend to write much more psychologically-driven novels, but hopefully there'll be some good battles and action, too!
Anyway, that was more than you probably wanted to know , but that's what I've been working on. Have you chosen a plot yet?
Thanks, CSLN! How have you been doing lately?
Dragonlight is last book of a series that I've been reading.
Oh, I read the DragonKeeper series awhile back! I liked it a lot. The minor dragons were my favorite. Which book have you liked best so far?
LOL, Winter, I thought you had written that you went all the way to Scotland for a youth retreat. I was thinking that must have been some amazing retreat, when I saw the way the sentence actually was. Seriously, though, you used to live in Scotland? That's awesome!
Cor, thanks! *tries not to cough in Cor's direction* Field of Dreams is a lovely soundtrack; do you have a favorite track/piece?
Fanny, interesting synopsis! It makes me want to read the story. And I really like your title, by the way.
And how about that CD you need??? You know--"Awake".
Wait, which "Awake" CD is this?
Betsie, I'm not sure we've met, how do you do? *curtsies* I'm malkah; still a semi-newbie around here.
*waves to stargazer*
Somehow this catchup took me almost three hours, and it's not even one of my longer ones. Have a good night and cozy slipper everyone!

Did I really say "latter"? Really? I meant former. I totally meant former. >.<
*was skimming here for the first time in forever but has very little to add to the conversation* I am socialised out. Happy Thanksgiving, Jo and ForeverFan and any other Canadians who might be about!
I am loving reading about everyone's NaNo novels...can't wait until November I'll be kicking myself for saying that once I actually have to start writing, but that's beside the point. And Narniaweb's NaNo movement (...for lack of a better term) has grown SO MUCH since two or three years ago, it's so exciting to see almost everyone doing it. Malkah, that sounds fascinating. Psychological/character-driven novels are the best.
*is very happy at the moment because the history she had read some about fits *perfectly* into her story* I love it when that happens.
I. so. agree. My NaNo plot is doing that currently (thanks, Wikipedia). History takes care of the plot and I don't have to! Hooray!
edit--Ryan's posting in the Square? *faints* Thank you for inadvertently alerting me to the awesomeness that is Mordred's Lullaby, by the way.

Mortereve all!
Ahhh! All the short ketchups I've done lately are OVER! How can you guys post so much in one little day?
Winter, the youth retreat you went on sounds like fun!
Glad to hear that, NN95! School is going great for me too, thanks. I'm already wishing that Christmas break was here, though. Wow! Your grandpa sees bears a lot!
FF, what have you been up to lately?
I'm doing fantastic, thanks, CS! But I must admit that I was reading for an hour this morning when I was suppose to be doing schoolwork. *sighs* I just couldn't put the book down!
Lol, sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound that way, Betsie! I was teasing.
Wow, you must have been quick to do that ketchup in just two hours!
I love the DragonKeeper series, malkah! It's one of my favorites. I think my favorite book is Dragonlight. It's amazing how much Kale has grown up and changed when you compare her to the first book.
Yeah, I did like Fairest a lot. Hope you get to read it soon!
Whew! This is so short compared to the posts that ya'll can write, but I still feel exhausted!
Anyway. Yesterday at the library I checked out Princess Ben by...uh...*tries to remember the author's name* Oh yeah! Catherine Murdock. And it is SO good! (Well, I say that about a lot of books I read, but...) Anyway, I'm really enjoying it!

How goes it on this lovely mortereve?
I am doing quite well. I got to sleep late though which helped a LOT.
I don't think that I'm up to much though today. School, Fire Department later, cooking dinner, and other random things.
NN, the leaves are turning colours where you are?? It has gotten cooler here, but no tree changing yet.
BTW it has been forever since I've talked to you....mmmm maybe I should pm you.
I have to say that my family is prolific in blowing things up. It is such a satisfying thing to do.
QS, I like your avatar a lot.
We're going on a camping trip this weekend so that should be pretty fun. It is the first time in forever that Dad has been camping.

Yes, I'm afraid I've been drawn in, albeit slightly.
And yay! Another convert! I should start a club.
Writing historical fiction always seemed like it would be difficult for some reason. Mainly because you have to make sure all your facts are right in order to make it believable. I guess you can be vague about your setting and let the reader fill in the gaps, but really it's good to be as accurate as you can and that requires a lot of research. Something I have a hard time doing for some reason.
This is why I've stuck with sci-fi and fantasy so far. And this year my novel is set in modern times.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
Rides into square, leaps off Sarg and nocks snow off cowboy hat
Historical ficion for me is sooo easy... mostly because I know all those fact, and know how to use google... that why I love writing HF because it give's me a chance to show off my knoledge of history...
Therfore I am writing a novel this year about WWII... Its going to be a long book and even if I hit my 10,000 word mark it won't be finished.
If you ain't first, you're last.
Mortereve all!
F2, The Endmakers sounds really good!
I have a question...do you ever listen to soundtracks that you haven't seen the movie for? Or is that just, odd? I've often wanted to listen to soundtracks that I haven't seen the movie before, but I wondered if that just wasn't "done".
I know this wasn't directed toward me, but I'll answer anyway. Most of the soundtracks/themes I have are from movies I have not seen. I've seen very few of the movies which contain the songs I have.
Aiden: Thanks! Hmmm, I can see if I have it, it might be on my other computer though. (If so, I'll look when I get it back and see if I can find it...)
Ah, thanks.
That's too bad about quite a few of the kids leaving for regular school, we experienced that somewhat with the homeschool group we used to attend, before we moved. There's homeschoolers up here, and we had a group going, but then because we were all of different religious viewpoints and belief systems (Well, there was us and them, so just two different views) they broke away and some of them we haven't talked to in a while. One or two families still are in contact with us, which is really nice. But yes. I hope your director can find something that is good for your smaller group now.
Yeah, it is quite a shame. Ooh, that's a sticky situation with different religions and beliefs. Sorry the group had to break up, but it was probably for the better. Our homeschool group is just the homeschoolers at our church, so no need to worry about differing religions. Thanks!
Me alegro usted está bien.
¿Pregunté tome que usted otra lengua este año? Sí, el traductor probablemente lo arruinó.
Gracias. ¿Y cómo está usted?
Ah, veo ahora. No, sólo tomo español. ¿Y... acerca de qué quiere usted hablar ahora? Sí, los traductores no trabajan bien.
Yes, I'm afraid so .
Oh, wow, I didn't know that! Yikes!
Coolio Coolio. School's great. Geomtery and Physical Science have become very enjoyable subjects. Spanish is going pretty well too.
Glad to hear it! Yeah, I've been enjoying school more this year than any year before. It's been surprisingly fun! So, can you talk in Spanish with Bella, yet?
Lol, it certainly is. I was so happy that the post was saved! You've no idea what its like to lose (or in this case "lose") a post when you've just nearly reached the end. Well... maybe you do.
Splendifurous? I know that "Splendid" in in there, whats the rest?
Oh, I assure you, I most certainly do know how terrible it is to lose a post. Back when I had a really old and bad computer, I would lose posts every single day! It was terrible. Oh, how I wish I had Lazarus back then. Anyway, I'm so glad I have it now, and I recommend it to everybody else so that everyone can save their posts!
It's a combination of splendid, wonderful, and marvelous. Splendifurous! I love that word!
@ NN. James Horner, it's one of his late 80's scores. So far I'm really loving it! It's one of the few synth heavy scores that I really like, though the full orchestra finally appears in the last three tracks. A very beautiful score.
Oh, I see. Sounds cool. I'm more of a full orchestra person, so I probably would like this one as much too much, but I'm glad you do.
*waves to NN* Sorry I have nothing to say. That seems to happen a lot.
I also don't have anything to say. Umm, how have you been lately?
Yay, Betsie finally made a catchup post! Wowzer, that's long!
Don't make me hat you, and don't give me more fodder for disagreement.
Well, I'm deeply sorry, then.
L. O. L. !
Umm... They never told us. Or, Quinch never did. My sister wasn't replaced. She just pretended.
That is quite odd. I do indeed wonder why Quinch did it. I shall have to ask him/her? Why did your sister pretend? Was she envious of the aliens?
It's called relationships. And reading at first, and skimming secondly.
I see.
I must say, the latest News Headline ("Star Gazing") got my attention! I had a fleeting thought that it could be about Narnian astronomy in navigating the Dawn Treader.
I immediately thought of you when I red the headline and had similar thoughts about what the story could be about. Alas, it was no more than a pun. And one that took me a while to get.
*waves to Alyosha*
Glad to hear that, NN95! School is going great for me too, thanks. I'm already wishing that Christmas break was here, though. Wow! Your grandpa sees bears a lot!
Glad to hear school's also going well for you! Yeah, I wish Christmas break was here, too. Today, I hit 1/4 of the way through school, and since Christmas break is 1/2 of the way through school, I'm 1/2 of the way to Christmas break!
NN, the leaves are turning colours where you are?? It has gotten cooler here, but no tree changing yet.
They most certainly are, and there bucket-fulls of them already in the backyard! Yeah, well, I'm sure the trees don't look half as nice during fall down South as they do up North. Kidding! But, seriously, it doesn't get nearly as cold down there as it does up here, right?
BTW it has been forever since I've talked to you....mmmm maybe I should pm you.
Yeah, it has. That's not a bad idea.
I have to say that my family is prolific in blowing things up. It is such a satisfying thing to do.
Really? That's neat. Yeah, it does seem so satisfying. I only wish I could have had the opportunity to do some destruction myself. Ah well, hopefully someday.
Have fun camping!
Well, I'm off. Have a great day, everyone. Mortereve all!

Good mortereve all!
I hope you're all having a pleasant day!
I fear that these last words I type on Narnia Web may be my last...especially if I don't get that college application essay turned int. I'm doing pretty good. Dead tired. But life's good. You?
Oh, no!!
Well, I'm glad to see that you've made some posts since then, so I know you're still there (whether you're alive or not is still to be determined )!
Sunsets are one of the most beautiful blessings of life!!!
Mmm hmm, they are lovely!
I'll have to remember the RinterSamgee for our next post.
Yes, do, do!
Finally, Djaq has arrived!
Wow, that was such an enthusiastic welcome. . .
*remembers having a lot of trouble type Djaq* But, now it's easy. [/random]
Lol! The only trouble I've ever had with your name is trying to figure out which nickname to use.
Quite welcome! Yeah, I poke my head in every once in a while. I especially love following the contests.
Alright, alright. So, how much did you pay flam? Kidding. You know, I feel bad for her because, being a judge, she couldn't post any art herself.
You should follow this next one.
I didn't pay her anything! Why do you think I didn't win fairly?
Which wallpaper was your favorite?
Yes, that would be hard to not be able to participate, but I think that she had fun judging it.
"I'm working on it!"
National Treasure? Have you thought of it yet?
Of course I was [just being nice]. Whee!
*Riley's sleeve catches on fire. The fire gets closer to the barrels of gunpowder. Ian and his men run toward their thingies. Ben and Riley run through and little passageway.* "Get down!" *Ben shuts the little door behind him. Then the fire engulfs the barrels of gunpowder...*
Yeah, you're always nice. . .
*explosion*!! *Ian and co. stop their thingies, and look back at the debris falling everywhere* "Let's go, before someone sees the smoke."
Oh yeah, huh?! Well, I may just feel like ignoring you, too! (Whew, it's a good thing we are.... uh I think we are... )
Fine! When will this take effect? (Tell me about it! ...last I checked I was kidding...what about you?)
"Weeeeel, maybe I am and maybe I ain't." Andy Griffith. I was Mr. Phillips.
"Good. A diplomatic answer. Polite, but vague." Princess Diaries. He is the teacher, right? Nice.
Eh, I don't know. He wouldn't lie about it.... I don't know, I suppose you're right, we'll find out eventually. Likely when the first real trailer comes out.
Oh, I don't remember those reports. Hmm, that's interesting. I'm gonna quote you here and then pick up the podcast discussion again:
No, I don't think that he was lying... I just don't know what he was doing.
Hmm, I was sure that I read somewhere (I think in a spy report) that they were filming scenes with Georgie and Gael talking...but I just spent 20 minutes looking through news stories and I couldn't find it.
Wow, good for you! Well, I don't remember anything about the Spy Video Intelligence one but if you have any thoughts I'd love to hear them. About the newest one, and referring back to the MLG, I like Dr. Ransom's idea of the Face of Suffering. As to where she came from... I like the idea that she's possibly some freed slave from the Lone Islands. How she's connected with Rhince or how Rhince is connected with "momma" I don't know. Suppose we'll just have to find out. Like one of them said, it could be that this is so insignificant, nobody will even remember these discussions. However, it could be such a big change, we'll be groaning at it the rest of our lives. Only time will tell, I suppose.
Thank you!
I agree with most of what they said in the SVI one. Although, gP's analogy of Rhindon being like the Declaration of Independence doesn't really work because the Declaration wouldn't be usable, a sword would be. I don't really have a problem with Edmund using Rhindon, I think it's neat.
Mmm hmm, I like the Face of Suffering (and the freed slave) idea as well. Otherwise, there aren't many story lines that people can see and relate to. There's Eustace's story, of course, but I think it's good to have another one as well. It's a young girl too, which will be someone for Lucy to relate to in the movie, and other little girls who are watching the movie. Did I explain that very well?
Haha, even if it is a big change, I doubt I'll be groaning the rest of my life about it.
As for the Narnians in Armor part of the episode... I really don't have a problem with Lucy just having a sword, like they said. It's just how they put that into effect that bugs me. Are they gonna have an all-out "pitched battle" after all? And is Lucy gonna fight? I do have to admit that I agree with... was it glumPuddle? that said it's not nearly as bad to see Lucy fighting as it was to see Susan. So I wouldn't have too much of a problem with that. I must say that a bit of a skirmish at the Lone Islands wouldn't be too bad *ducks rotten tomatoes* but if it's anything too much I won't be happy with it.
I don't mind Lucy having a sword and I think that it fits her character more to fight than Susan's. It's possible that her dagger isn't on board, and she needed something to use, so they gave her a dwarf sword. . . Thoughts?
I agree with everything else you said there.
As always, I much need to re-read VDT, but I probably won't get a chance to concentrate on it till school gets out next year.
I need to read it too, and I could make time for it, but things are going to be really busy once November gets here. I'm thinking about participating in NaNoWriMo this year (Do you know what that is?), so that's going to take a lot of my time, then there's Thanksgiving, my sister might have her baby towards the end of the month (meaning that I would probably go and stay with her). . .
Yeah, I can imagine it was a surprise. Ah, that's neat. We have a lot of piano players about the Square, eh? We should have a concert some time. Anyway, yeah, I may just do that!
Yes, we do. Haha, a concert would be fun.
Yes. She could have just lost half of the half. Or a quarter of the half. But, no! She lost the whole half.
. . . ( )
Aw, thanks!!! 'Course, the retainer's annoying, like I knew it'd be. But, still, it's a step in having no dental wear to clutter my mouth any longer!
*sigh* Aw, I'm sorry that the retainer is annoying you.
Well, finally! Haha, well good for you.
I guess I still can't do anything right... Is there any hope for me?
Oh, I am sooo sorry to have missed our beloved Lady A's birthday!! I wasn't aware of it when I posted that day. Anyway, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!
Lucy, how have you been lately? What have you been up to?
Ah, okay. I guess I'll call you Jack, then.
Sounds great!
Oh yes! Especially decorating the Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music...that's so much fun!!! *happy sigh* All this talking about Christmas is bringing back good memories...
Yes, yes! That's always fun!
And whoa: monster-post!
*immediately stops walking* . . . You said "whoa". . . Have I been spending too much time around horses?
Anyway, thanks!
What's been going on with you as of late?
*Laughs* Oh, nothing really. Guitar, school, job, and some other things . How about you ? No, no. I haven't gotten my braces yet. The end of this month for sure. like...4 days before Halloween . Which is a shame. I shall not be able to eat all of that CANDY! Oh well, I don't need it anyway.
That sounds good! I'm getting busier lately. I've been doing more school, practicing the piano a LOT, talking , and various other things.
Aw, that doesn't sound fun. You can still have some though.
Quinlin!! Wow, it's great to see you here again!
It is gorgeous in a way though... reminds me of Narnia and the scene in LWW with the trees after Aslan's death. I love windy days. Watching the puffy clouds fly across the sky and having the disheveled, just rolled out of bed hairdo all day... yep nothing beats that!
Ditto, ditto, ditto!
Hey there, Emmy! Welcome to the Square! I do hope that you'll be joining us! Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Djaq. You can call me Jack, DJ, or whatever you like.
Definitely Will and Djaq and Marian(most of the time). And Much...he's so faithful.
Aw, yes, Much! Poor guy. He is really faithful, but he gets hurt so much (emotionally and physically ).
I know this wasn't directed at me, but if I can jump in:
I'd love for you to jump in! The more, the merrier!
*jaw drops at Djaq's epic post* I've missed your ketchup posts.
Aw, thanks! It's great to have you back in the Square again!
I've been reading your book, nice work!! You're doing really well with it!
*waves to Djaq* I have been pretty good, thanks! Learning quite a bit, and enjoying the autumn weather. How are you?
That's good to hear! Ah, yes, I love this time of year, everything is so pretty! It's a great time to take pictures! Speaking of pictures, your avatar is beautiful!!
I'm doing really good!
How are things with your Dad and his job/etc?
Things are going well. It's still a bit slow, but it's picking up a little bit. Thank you so much for asking!
Brilliant demonstration of your intelligence there...
Lol!
Yeah, you can adopt mine and my sisters policy of the second-half of the finale and the whole third season are non-canon.
Yes, I think they've changed it a leetle too much.
*waves to Ryan*
Rosa!!! It's lovely to see you again!
Congratulations about getting your braces off in November! Are you looking forward to it?
smart idea! I do that when I get friends birthday presents, me and my neighbor will sometimes just put it all together. But my family is rather small, so I only need to get three or four gifts to get everyone covered
Nice! Ah, I have a semi-big family, so it's a bit difficult.
ooooh! I CHOCOLATE cake! That's definitely what I want at my wedding, I'm not gonna mess with all this vanilla and white business
Aannd yes, I did get my iPod touch! It's so great!
I only ended up having less than a piece of the cake (I was worn out ), but it was good!
How fun (about the iPod touch)!
Hey there, Pebbles! Haha, funny story about the cell phone.
Oh, and a very happy birthday to your mom!!
Hey, Betsie!! It's fabulous to see your catch up post! Especially since there was a chance I might not have been able to see it (had you waited until July 18th, 2087)!
Djap! (Sorry. Did you ever figure that out?)
Did I figure out "Djap"? Yeah, pretty much. I kind of feel like I'm in a Poirot episode as the detective.
You had a picture of yourself for your avatar, didn't you?
Yes, I did (and do). I guess people can tell what I look like. . .
Djaq. How's the alphabetizing coming? I love that.
Of the M&M's? I'm getting there! So far I have all the way through 'M', and I'm hoping to have them all sorted by 2065!
Btw, do you like your new nickname?
Djaq. Still humming Nickel Creek....
What? You mean you're not all out singing it?
*waves to all the Onions (and even the Pea, Mushroom, and any other food item that they might wish to be)*
Mort'reve all!

Mortereve all!
I've been away from the Square, and NW for that matter, for a couple of days, so I'd better get right on to my catching up.
FB is very interesting, to say the least, NN. I'm still trying to figure out all it's quirks, but I'm enjoying being able to talk to friends easily. Yes, I do like to write a lot. Actually, I read more than I write, but that is good, is it not? The film short plot is very difficult to say in a few owrds because it's so complex, but it's about a compromised mission coverup. A lot of fights, and there is a mysterious person that is following and listening to all the action and turns out to be the hero of the story.
Miss Rosa, thanks for the congradulations. I'm very happy to have my licence. I do have my book online at my blog:http://sunriseoflifeseries.wordpress.com/. I try to post regularly...but sometimes I just get busy. I'd love to hear what you think about it, because most of the reviews I am getting are from friends that already know what the story is about.
NG, I was hoping I wasn't freaking you out by knowing where you live. I accidentally was messing around with the IPs that I have from people commenting on my blog, and I did a search and found out your state. It's actually pretty cool, but at the same time scary. Anyway, about the teen party I went to. It was a blast! I was finally able to hook up with friends that I'd not talked to since spring, and the party was really loud and crazy.
Thank you, Cep, for the driving advice, I'll be sure to drive as carefully as I'm able.
*smiles* Yes, I'm still in school, QS. I'm a junior this year. What about you?
Aww, I'm sorry you couldn't make it to the teen party. Was it with your church youth group?
my dear brother Prince Cor, your future sounds fun
So your saying that you sub-consiously named Neal Westley's nickname?
Djaq, you're reading my book?! How do you like it so far?
Well, dinner smells good, so I must go!
