...Mortereve!
*examines his tree is rotted away *
Err... I thought I'd be behind like 3 town square threads that I'd need to catch up on... but!!! This is supposedly 'town square I' so I'm way ahead of schedule
How goes it, everyone?
*waters his tree* ...
Ah, I wish high school allowed me more time but...
THANKS GOSHERS FOR SATURDAYS!!!
I'll try to drop in here more often

Good mortereve, all! How is everyone this beautiful October afternoon ? I'm doing pretty well. Ah, and Jane Eyre is fantastic! I have just gotten to the part where It's really good (as I have said numerous times)! It really make you think . Today, as usual, there is nothing going on. But, I know that I have 4 pages to catch up on.
I've been great, thanks, EP. We went to see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs at the movie theater today. It was really cute and funny! Have you seen it?
No, I have not seen it yet, NG. It does look pretty funny though!
Edmund P, good job on that drawing for "Illustrating the Chronicles". I remember following that a long time ago when it was first started. Haven't checked it out in a while, though.
Thanks, NN95! You should check it out! We are getting ready to start on The Last Battle.
It always does. Ohh, I wouldn't say the movie will be nothing like the book. They may change some stuff around, but I think they'll keep the basic plot-line and, like you said, the themes. Changes themselves don't bother me too much, but if they're a change for the worse and not the better, that's when I don't like them.
BTW, I asked this once, but maybe you didn't catch it... what picture is your sig from?]
Well...have you read what Barnes said? He sadi that they have taken some ideas from some of the later Narnia books and added them to VDT. I can almost bet you anything, that the Emerald Witch is going to be in it!
Oh, and the picture...I got it from NarniaWeb. I can't remember the exact location though.
*waves to Edmund P.* You called me Bets, which rather frightened me.
*Waves back* What? Why did that frighten you? You don't like nicknames?
Good, but needing to go start school soon. And actually, I have a cold... But I *think* it's getting better. We'll see. I'm hoping it won't hinder the play I'm in this weekend.
Nice illustration, BTW!
Oh no! Colds are awful ! Well, I'm glad it's getting better . Cool! You're in a play ? Thanks, QS!
Lovely illustration, Ed P.
Thanks so much, LL!
Edmund P: Lovely detail on the drawing!
I'm sorry your braces were delayed, I guess with some things it's just better to get it over with...
Yes! And then some.... we have a friend who made some natural cough medicine, and that seems to help, not to mention it tastes good too.
Thanks! Yes, I wish I could just get it over and done with! That's good, FF. And it's neat that you know someone who makes natural cough medicine!
Edmund P! Hullo! Do you have your braces now? How do they feel? I really am hoping and praying that they don't cause you many aches or pains. Yes, my family has been blessed with straight-teeth, so none of us have worn braces.
No, I haven't gotten them...yet. I should be getting them sometime this month. They were delayed . Thanks for your prayers . That's great for your family ! How have you been?
GUESS WHAT!!!! I am so, so, so excited!!! I might actually be getting my first piano lesson soon!!! YAAAAY!!!!!
That's AWESOME, Ruby! I hope that you enjoy it .
Jo! Welcome back to the Square !
Ah, good point, I hadn't thought about the time that it took. Thanks for the link! I'll try to keep up with it!
Yes, it does take some time. You're welcome . OK, great!
Ahh, Jane Eyre! I've read that one, it's pretty good! I've read Mere Christianity as well, it was good too!
Really? Yes, indeed, it is very good! Cool! It is going to be a little while before I get to Mere Christianity. Jane Eyre is taking up a lot of my reading time. And it is a fairly long book . How have you been lately ?
Good idea. I have been well. However I would like to point out that while WS is a perfectly acceptable nickname WL, is a little far-fetched, to say the least.
Good! I'm glad you're doing well ! Uh-oh, did I accidentally call you WL? I must have been thinking of WinterLife . Sorry.
Oh, for any of the TAN fans on this forum, Mike's baby girl Eisley was born today!
Really?! That great!
Welcome back, NF12!
*Sits back in his chair and clicks 'submit'*
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.
Mortereve all! My substitute computer is making funny clicking noises, which probably means it's not good, but oh well. I command it not to do anything funny until I'm done typing this. If it does not listen, well, oh well.
Queen Susan: Your costume was pretty! *hopes all has gone well and awaits*
Ruby: Yay for Piano Lessons!! How exciting! I hope you enjoy them!
*waves to Mrs. Jo* As you know, I'm praying for you and your family!
Narnia Girl: Yayness! *awaits report* Nice new avatar too, by the way! It's very pretty!
Aiden: Mmm, yeah. We'd best end the conversation 'fore it goes anywhere it shouldn't. All I'll say is that it's a sad and sticky situation all around sometimes, isn't it?
Sorry for not being more clear, about the movie themes and all.
Ah, I see! So I take it your play was aired publicly then?
*waves back to Flambeau* Glad to hear it! I'm doing pretty good myself, thanks! Anything new with you?
WinterStar: That is fantastic!! And it sounds like lots of fun, I hope you enjoy it! (Which I'm sure you will....) Yay for new riding helmets!
Yup, I agree. Most of the time it's the horse, although it doesn't help matters if the person is feeling unconfident too, because I've learned that horses can read us like books, so they'd see that hesitancy and respond however.
*sigh with WinterStar* I know how that feels, but don't give up hope! We never thought we'd have horses either, and I think it was after my sister got involved with some friends and their horses that we thought of the possibility of owning one, so maybe that will happen for you too!
MissAravis: I've been pretty good too, thanks! Loving the fall weather. How is life for you? Anything new?
Bella: Sorry to hear about your computer troubles...I can sympathize! I hope you're feeling better?
Edmund P: Yes, it is rather nice! It's funny though, how (I guess it was God) this person came into our life and was able to provide something that would help us in a small way. This probably sounds odd, but I guess God knew that we'd need it, and was able to use our friend to bless us. Hmmm.
Anyways...I should be off. Cheers everyone!
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

Mortereve all!!
I have a question for y'all.
So I subscribed to this topic, but for some reason it just emails me a copy of the next post after mine, but not posts after that one. I was wondering if that is just the way of the new forum, or if I'm doing something wrong.
Anyways, how is everyone this fine mortereve???
I'm doing pretty good. Just hanging right now. I may do some laundry later on.
"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had.”
Mortereve! I'm quite due for a catchup post.
But first...look what I learned to do today! I learned to type upside down!
¡ǝɯıʇ dnɥɔʇɐɔ˙˙˙sʎɐʍʎuɐ ¿uʍop ǝpısdn ǝdʎʇ oʇ ʇuɐʍ ʇ,uplnoʍ oɥʍ ˙ǝuıƃɐɯı uɐɔ noʎ ǝɹns ɯ,ı sɐ 'unɟ ɥɔnɯ os s,ʇı
OHMYGOSH! You didn't see that, did you? Well, I guess you did, but haha..um..yeah...xD
Yes, I saw. Don't worry, I was totally cracking up! xDD
I'm very, very tired at the moment. The after effects of a long week of school with little sleep. Pray that I get a good night's sleep! I seriously need it.
I'm praying! Do try to get a good nights sleep, m'dear. We don't want a worn out Ruby!
Before we know it, VDT is going to be in theatres!
Before we know it, aye? It's taking quite a long time for me. And The Hobbit is taking even longer.
I very much hope your brother gets better soon, Jojo! I'll be praying. You got your ears pierced? What fun! (I think... ) I got my ears pierced when I was three, but I admit I don't wear earrings all too often.
*waves to Valia* I'm glad you dropped by. You've been missed here in the Square. It seems everyone is caught up with school these days.
No way, Bella and Jojo, that is wayy too cool you two got to talk to each other!
I suppose that concludes my catch up? That wasn't very much. I've been gone for a whole week and the Square has only moved about 3 pages, I think. Very strange, indeed. I suppose everyone would trace it to schoolwork, though, which also prevents me from posting as much as I would like.
I'm going to go shower and get to bed now. Tomorrow is my favorite day of the week!
*Cor and Vern enter the Square after a long day*
Mortereve all! Last night I spent the night with my grandmother, which was loads of fun as always. I got to see Field of Dreams and a early Alfred Hitchock movie last night. Today, the Royal Family went for a ride through Archenland/Narnia. A very lovely time was had by all.
O.K, now for a catch-up post:
@ Jojo. *bows, smilies* My Thursday was very pleasant as well as my Friday and Saturday. I do have an annoying headache this evening.... How are you doing, Fair Lady? ( )
*Hello Jojo! It tis very nice to see you around the Square again! How have you been? Cor has told me a little about how you and Lissa have been, but not a lot.*
@ NN. Yep, yep. Widescreen is truly the only way to view a movie! (as long as it was originally filmed that way.) It used to mess me up with "letterbox", "widescreen (cropped)" and "Anamorphic widescreen".
@ Princess. Well, what are brothers for? D'aww, the feeling is mutual! Life is going well, school has officially started for me (my senior year! Yay!!), Fall has officially arrived in the South and KingLune and Lady A are in fine health.
Unilluminated has progressed along a LOT since you left. The Unnaturals have escaped from Buttons zoo and are living in the woods, a vampire coven has taken over Eslatar's old mansion and overall everything is getting very convoluted, like a TV drama. Yep, Neal is still alive and well. I've also introduced a new character, Karl, who is a bad guy.I've really enjoyed writing for him.
@ Fanny. Thank you, so am I. It would definitely put a damper on my relationships here in the Square if I was dead.
Alright, well, you're welcome.
@ Jo. JO!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so, so good to see you! I hope everything is going well with you and yours and I look forward to you stopping by more often.
@ Flam. Hmm, you think? Alright.... *thinks* Should we start quoting movies like Djaq and NN?
@ Winter. Yes, I realize I use "quite" quite alot, though it's a good word that deserves to be used quite often.
*waves to everyone else in the Square*
-----------------------------
O.K, that does it for me tonight. I hope everyone has a lovely evening and a good Sunday!
*Cor and Vern exit the Square*

Thank you ~ my brother is doing much better, nearly completely himself again. He went to his young-adults' Bible Study tonight, and said that while driving "I have to take corners much slower!" Which tells us he doesn't normally drive 'safely', doesn't it now? LOL! A few days ago, he was wondering why he let that truck run over his middle...and then he said it felt like somebody cut into him and removed something. Thanks for thinking of him and praying!
Yes ma'am, I have had them pierced a whopping four days! Three? Really? Wow--today while we were walking past Claire's, we saw a little tiny gal getting hers done. Some of our friends from TN got their baby's ears pierced when she was still a tiny baby. I figured if she could do it, so could I.
Flam, me lady! *curtsies, while making certain not to spill her cocoa while doing so, because that would result in such utter embarrassment that Jojo probably couldn't handle it. While keeping her head up to keep from spilling the cocoa, however, the whipped cream on-top somehow (not too mysteriously either) gets folded into the shoulder-length curl of the girl who is trying her hardest not to make any sort of fool out of herself and just say to Flam a nice greeting and inquire as to her health. The fluffy and white addition to the honey-colored hair brings instant distraction from the curtsy, which I'm saddened to say ended with more sloshing of the steaming drink and a few shrieks of mirthful laughter as Jojo tries to stand straight, keep the cup titled upward, clean out her hair, and carry on meaningful conversation all at once!* Beards and bedsteads, where are my manners?! Now that this dreadful occurrence has...occurred, may I still be allowed to speak with you? Guessing that your gracious Excellence will permit this, how do you do? *continues to mop out her hair with a wringer-washing-machine. Or something*
Good, good, you were performed of my predicament. Anyway, I'll do better next year, and remember your birthday like a friend should.
JO!! How on earth are you?? How is everything going for you? I've been missing you!
Miss Queen Susan: Thy kind inquiry after my brother was most considerate, and I am now able to inform thee that his health is returning to him surely. To our surprise, the Physicians did not stitch or staple the incision closed; they used butterfly-tape! Rather an odd procedure, if you ask me, so if he had liked, or so my ornery brother says, he could have opened it. Anyhow, he's much better now, thank you. (Old-English type is such a delight to write! Thank you for starting this! )
Fanny: Your prayers are being answered!
My yes; the temper tantrum the little girl threw yesterday was dreadful! She kicked and screamed, trying to knock things off the walls of my room and such. And Mom was on the phone at the time, with a Customer-Service call! I did not know how to handle it, quite, but she calmed down after a bit. Naptime was next on the agenda, of course.
Awesome! I have not read any Nancy Drew books (much to my chagrin), but I saw the movie and I think I could get into the books easily. Ooh, Hardy Boys are good! I've read bits of them. Sure it makes sense ~ I'm like that with some books too; don't have a problem with them, but just don't love-love them.
Yes, it does seem like that. I am glad, though, to see and know how blessed I am.
Mel: That was "In order not to faint, don't buckle your knees". It's always a caution that Pastors give the bridal party ~ move around a bit, don't lock your knees and stand there rigid. I agree ~ "humiliations galore". I hope you have fun and get to be in on some of the planning of the wedding! That's a very fun part.
Ruby! *returns Ruby's hug* I hope your homework doesn't overwhelm you too much. That's sad; it takes away the joy of learning.
Winter, my friend, I'm doing great, and yourself? What's new with you? Any new hobbies keeping you busy?
Narnia_fan12: I am sooooo sorry about your tree that isn't so grand anymore. I really did water it. (once upon a time) I really did look after it in your absence. (once upon a time) I really did...um...*hunts for a distraction* What's THAT on the tree???
Good ole' Eddie: Oh dear, they were delayed? Not good; now you'll have time to think about how much you maybe don't want them. Mmhm, you're welcome. I've been doing fine, thank you! And yourself? Any pains, aches, troubles to report? If so, I recommend "vitametavegamin".
Okay, here's my biggest bit of news from my own "Today Show": My Fedora arrived in the mail today! Woohoo!! Liss and I both bought them, and we're so excited. They're our favorite type of hats ever. It's sad, to me, when I look at pictures from the '20's, 30's, and 40's, 'cause every guy wore a Fedora. It was like a trend to wear a hat, but that trend has passed and now no one does. I wish they still did.
PC: *doesn't attempt another curtsy-episode at this time* Greetings my friend! Why that's just fine to hear! Rot that dreadful headache, though. I've had one ever since we got home tonight; I've begun to think that I need to stop eating sugar, since that's obviously when I get my worst headaches. Same with Mom and hers. Stupid sugar, it's in everything!! *gets a hold on herself* Anyway, do take something that'll remove the annoyance from you, all right? Other than that, I'm in fine spirits!
Vern: I'm fine thanks, and your Dragony self? How sad--I thought you two were closer than that. Why would he withhold any such information, I wonder? We, both Lissa and I, are doing perfectly grand, though. =]
And now, though I fear I haven't caught up in all the areas I need to, my hot-cocoa needs refilled, my pearlies need shined, a few chapters in my book need read, and some sleep needs to be acquired, so I'll take with myself the well-recited wish of the Square to have "cozy slippers", and head my way to my sleep. Good night, and may "God rest ye merry gentleman/women, let nightmares not invade!"

Mortereve all!
N_F12!! Hey, how are you doing?
Sounds like you're enjoying Jane Eyre, EP!
Thank you so much, FF! May I ask who the person in your avatar is? She's very pretty.
Typing upside down...hey, interesting, poggy!
"God rest ye merry gentlemen/women, let nightmares not invade"...lol! Nice, Jojo!
Hmm, I guess the Square moved pretty slowly yesterday. This is a bit of a short ketchup, it seems. Anyway, yesterday my dad was going hunting with a friend of his, and my dad shot a bear! He brought it home yesterday evening for us to see. I never knew that a bear's teeth were so gross. I might try to post a picture of the bear later, if ya'll are interested in seeing a pic...?
We spent the afternoon yesterday at a friend's house. She has a trampoline in her backyard, so we were bouncing on it, then we played dodgeball on the trampoline, where one person stands on the trampoline and the other people form a circle around the trampoline and throw a ball at the person on it. It was fun.

@NN, why do I have the feeling that our conversation is going in circles. About the quote, you can probably tell what movie I've been watching recently.
@Cep, I actally was able to take that photo that is in my sig. And for your information, scarlet and gray is a lot cooler than maze and blue. Buckeys have a lot better team too.
@NG, so it's not just a story you're writing, but a book? Have you planed out the entire book or do you just write as it comes to you?
@12, I wonder why you are watering your dead rotting tree? So your in high school now? How is that going for you?
@EdP, Jane Eyre took me awhile to read. In fact, when I was about where you are, I couldn't wait any longer to see how the story went. So I watched a movie version (with Timothy Dalton) and got the rest of the story. Then I went and finished the book. It's very intriguing. If you like Charlotte Bronte's writing, you might also want to try her sister's, Emily's Wuthering Heights. Also a very good read.
@poggy, I'm not sure I would want to type upside down, unless there's a very easy way to do it. Care to tip your hand?
@my dearest brother Prince Cor, That's what I love about you. Wow, already a senior. For some reason I thought you were in the same grade as me, but whatever. Does 12th grade take more of your time than 11th?
Nice. Did you structure Neal after Westley?
I'm sure you do enjoy writing for a bad guy. I have a hard time writing for a character like that though... Maybe you could give me some pointers?
*notices Cor using some Princess Bride quotes*
@NG, a picture of a dead bear sounds inviting. JK, I'd love to see a photo of it. And congrats to your dad on shooting a bear. Has he got one before?
Well, that's all for my ketchup.
Today I was able to participate in a Pro-Life rally. One girl in a near-by house saw us and made her own little sign. It was nice to be able to see the impact we can make on the minds of little children.

Oh, hello everyone. *blushes* I feel embarassed for not being on for such a long time! I have so much to catchup on!!
First off, let's get a list of excuses:
- I had to write an essay on The Scarlet Letter (awful book, really)
- I was reading both The Hunger Games and the sequel, Catching Fire (I seriously could not put them down!)
- I made some really pretty hair flower things!
- I also made a hat out of a loom hat. unfortunately I made it a bit too long so I need to make a new one n__n
- I went iPod hunting! I'm going to be purchasing the new iPod Touch soon, and I wanted to get all the info I could find, so I made the trek down to the Apple Store and asked some questions, then to Best Buy to ask more questions, did a ton of research on the internet, and came to the conclusion that I should definitely buy it at Costco.
- I was trying to form an opinion on Ben Barnes' latest statement! Stealing ideas from some of the later books?!?! What is going on??
- I was planning my trip to Disneyland in two weeks!!!
All right, all right, now for the real catchup
malkah, I've finished the sequel to The Hunger Games! It ends on the worst cliffhanger, and I have to wait a whole year for the next (and last) book to come out...I have to know what happens!! It was on a huge hold list at my library too, but luckily I have two friends who own both books and have been begging for people to read them so we could get a big discussion going on. And what do you know - as soon as I start reading the book, and we all start talking about the series at school and church, a lot more people want to read it too! The two copies of The Hunger Games and the two copies of Catching Fire are circling around from hand to hand, and we are in the process to make T-shirts, haha.
I would really recommend The Hunger Games it to everyone, but I understand that it probably wouldn't fit the preferences to some of the people on here. There is no vulgar or sexuality, just violence. And the deaths don't really go into all the gory details or anything. Book reviewers have put it in the "12 & Up" age group. It's really got everything in it though: sci-fi, action, thriller, mystery, and twists and turns the entire way down. You really don't know what to expect when you read this series!
I agree! Knowing you have the perfect present and anticipating the person's face when they open it is one of the best things about Christmas!
Yes I know!! I've started a little list for all the members in my family for what I should get them, so hopefully when December comes finding a present won't be so difficult!
I think Lion King might be coming soon as well. Is it basically the same as the movie?
Well, its the same story, but its soo amazing how they put it together! It's really beautiful, really.
Syd, that's neat (if a bit scary) about your drive. I'm sure you'll do fine!
It did go fine. I managed to talk my neighbor into coming with me so I could have a bit of company, and we talked about Halloween (he's dressing up as Edward Cullen as a joke, so I gave him a few costume pointers xD). I couldn't find the right turn so I ended up going all the way around the airport And I managed to hit rush hour as we were leaving. But it went smoothly, just wish I could persuade my dad into letting me drive to school!
Fanny, I think you ARE the only one who is disappointed about being unable to do schoolwork, but I really don't mind school. Learning is fun, it's just the homework that kills me n__n
NN95, That's true, boys don't generally carry gum around. Why is that?? xD
Anyway, I don't know if any teeth whitening thing works as well as it looks in the ads.
Sadly, that's totally true. ):
The other day one of my brackets broke, I think because of a Dinosaur Vitamin! (Dinosaurs rock, btw). So I had to go down to the orthodontist, but there was only the receptionist there. I've only seen her at the front desk, but I guess she's fully trained to work on teeth, because she told me she could do it and took it off my wire. It was just so weird to see the orthodontist place dark and since the air wasn't on in the back, I wasn't freezing!
It's all right, Edmund P! It was probably more awful for my parents, I couldn't imagine having a child be so sick so young. ): It would be scary. And I've always wanted to have laser-whitening too! The dentist always makes it sound so magical, haha. And it'd be wonderful to have straight and blinding white teeth, as soon as I get these braces off! I know of some orthodontist offices that offer a free laser-whitening as soon as you get yours off, but sadly mine doesn'. D8 Oh well, I love my othodontist!
School everday, and church on Sundays and Wednesdays...ha, yeah, me too, NN95. Which reminds me, Wednesday is tomorrow, which means that Wednesday Night Teen Church is tomorrow too. I enjoy that a lot at my church.
That's the exact same schedule for me! And I love going on Wednesday nights with all the teenagers (we call it mutual). We made flower hair pieces last Wednesday! -pokes excuses-
Lol. Hey, no worries, Syd (is it okay if I call you that?), sometimes I read when I should be doing schoolwork.
Of course you can call me that! i normally try to read at night before I go to bed, that way my school work is all done and I'm only just waiting to fall asleep. But some books are just impossible to put down!
Narnian at Heart, oh my goodness! What a frightening thing to go through, I'm so grateful that he managed to get to the hospital in time! I will be praying for your brother's recovery!
Yes, I made it to the airport all right Lady_Liln! I'm lucky the airport is so easy to get to from my house. I don't have to switch highways or anything. I use the freeway a lot actually, mostly to get to my friends houses. It's just so much faster, and the freeway is usually never crowded going south! It's going west that scares me. There's so much traffic and construction.
Ah yes, my friend Fauntastic, I can't seem to remember what it is we have in common, but it's something common. . . isn't it? Like, memory, or lack there of, or something. Hm. Anyway, How're you doing this evening? Well, I hope! I am just plain exhausted from my day, but otherwise fine in spirit and in health.
Haha, I can't remember either. I'm sure it'll pop into my mind weeks from now, or something, since I can never remember facts when I need to! wait..wait..Yes, I do believe it's something along those lines! Not being able to remember things! Aha, thats it! xD
But Yes, I've been very very good! I feel like I've been treating myself too much. I went to a movie with a friend to celebrate not having homework, then we went to Cheesecake Factory, and now I'm purchasing a new iPod for myself...I think I need to start not being so nice! I might start to spoil myself or something xD
Sorry about being exhausted, I can totally relate. One hard day at school can usually tear me apart, I've had to take a few naps when I come home from school. And my dad insists on me riding the bus, which doesn't help my headaches, even though I have a license and a car. n__n He says he doesn't trust the other High School kids, but I've driven to school on a few different occasions and nothing has gone wrong. I picked him up from the airport, for crying out loud, and he still won't let me drive three miles to my school! But I'm just going to be quiet and obey him, I'm sure he's only worried about the traffic. And I think he's in denial about me growing up, as I am the oldest child, ahaha. He told me that he will "more than likely" allow me to drive next semester, so riding the bus is becoming more durable! (Oh my, this turned into a little rant about myself, no? xD)
Narnia Girl, you saw a bear?!? That's really neat, and really scary! This past summer, my cousins saw a bear at our family reunion but I didn't either. And even in previous years when we go up to Jackson Hole Wyoming, my family always seems to see bears while I miss it! I don't even think bears could survive near my home in the desert, it's probably much too hot! 8D
Meltintalle, you are probably the scariest while you sleep! Ahh, sleep...I just woke up from an hour long nap, even though my family kept trying to get me up, telling me I'd never be able to fall asleep. I think I still will fall asleep with ease, I haven't slept the recommended 8-hours for weeks...
*cracking up at NN's conversation with himself* Is it weird that I actually DO talk to myself? Only sometimes, I swear! But I always wonder...if I met like a clone of myself or something, what would happen? Would I get along with myswelf or want to tear myself apart?? What adorable dogs, QS! What breed are they?
GUESS WHAT!!!! I am so, so, so excited!!! I might actually be getting my first piano lesson soon!!! YAAAAY!!!!!
Yay! I love love love piano! My mom is a piano teacher, but I actually don't take from her. Let's just say...I wasn't the best of students when she was teaching me. But in my defense, I was in my attitude/talking-back stage of life...But my new piano teacher is wonderful, I've actually managed to scrape up some trophies at competitions. ;D
Ohmygoodness johobbit, Those square watermelons are absolutely amazing! What i WOULDN'T do to have one of those!
Hello flambeau, thank you for the welcome! You can call me Syd 8D How are you?
Probably because they use the word "substance" in sciences a lot. Especially chemistry and the like.
And what a coinky-dink, I'm actually taking chemistry right now!
It was so fun though! There was a climbing wall, and when you got to the top you could go down a zipline! It was awesomeeeeeee!
Okay, I have to admit, that does sound SUPER fun! I love ziplines and climbing things (even though they are both contradictory to my fear of heights, but oh well).
Yes, I saw. Don't worry, I was totally cracking up! xDD
Glad I could ammuse you, haha -hasn't made another video in a really long time- Oh well..
And I liked your typing upside down, hehe. I think there's some type of application on facebook that can do that :B
I might try to post a picture of the bear later, if ya'll are interested in seeing a pic...?
Dead bear pictures? YES PLEASE!! xD
The Trampoline/Dodge Ball game sounds really fun! Though trampolines kinda scare me when other people are on them, I wouldn't mind throwing balls at other people! ahaha xD
Well, THATS IT! This took me almost 45 minutes...eek! I'm going to do so much better this week so I never have to spend this long on a catchup again! Mortereve, all!
NW sibs: Windsong and Lucy Took
Mortereve all!
:O Only two posts since yesterday? This will be a short ketchup!
Yes, it is actually a book, pon. I usually just write as it comes to me...but then when one scene is over I get stuck and don't know what to write next. I'm really unorganized.
Nope, this was my dad's first bear that he's ever shot.
Really? That sounds so cool, Syd!
Exactly! Lol. I do try to read some before I go to bed as well.
Yup! Seeing the bear was a bit scary...*blushes*...but it was a really cool experience!
Haha, yeah! When it was my turn to go on the trampoline, I had barely climbed onto it when my sister threw the ball right at me, and I barely dodged it. Sisters...
Okay, I'll see if I can get to the picture of the bear later...I'll have to resize it or something, since it's really big. Anyway, we had a guest speaker at church yesterday. I enjoyed that a lot. Then we had lunch with our friends after church, and today we're going to the library! Yaaaaaay!

I'm ba-ack!! *sings*
Anyways----too much to say now. And two pages to reply to... I'll try to do that all later. I have so much to do now, and it's only been a few days! Catchup on facebook, 4 emails to reply to, find some music, watch some videos on youtube... Upload pictures onto the computer, talk to everyone here, put some new music on my ipod... *trails off* Anyway. It was AWESOME. Yay! If anyone is wondering what in the world I'm talking about... Well, it's that Providential History Festival I've been talking about for so long.
(I guess some of the people at a lodge had never heard the word "Providential" before, because when they put up a sign for it, they wrote down "Prudential History Festival"... ) So yeah. I'll talk to you all more in depth later! 😀

What's up with everyone not wanting to be a SquareOnion any more? Hmph, we Onions are offended! Why, the mere thought that anyone would stoop so low as to be a mushroom or a pea... it's unheard of!
Be it a Square Onion, or a Square Potato, both are Square Roots. I would not care to think of anyone here as a fruit, a nut, or perhaps a vegetable.
Well, I suppose potatoes are ok. But, you're right, fruits, nuts, vegetables, or *shudders* fungi! would not be a desirable thing to be.
From that and some previous statements I take it you don't like Macs very much at all. ..
Ahh, very observant of you. Hehe, no, I don't like Macs at all.
The other reason being that I posted something, but my computer crashed, and I lost the post in the process.
You know, if you used Firefox, you'd have Lazarus, and you'd never need to worry about losing your posts.
I'm sorry that you are feeling offended! But, I haven't stooped low, Onion-friend. I'm a Square Potato. (I'm the Square Potato [/vanity]) The Square Potato would be a step above, I believe.
Yes, well, I've somewhat gotten over it. Whaaaaat? The SquarePotato is a step above the SquareOnions? Hmph!!!!
I think we do have a nut. *points to NarniaNut95*
Ahaha, 'tis true.
Ti, you must come by more often!
Yeah, it was cool seeing the bear, NN95...but kinda...a little scary. Anything exciting going on in your life?
Yeah, I can imagine! Especially since it was near your house, right? I've seen a bear pretty close up, but it was nowhere near my house.
Ummm, nope, nothing really exciting here......
*bug lands on monitor... bug get squashed*
Thanks, NN95! You should check it out! We are getting ready to start on The Last Battle.
Yeah, I should. Wow, The Last Battle?! Like I said before, I was following that when it first started a long time ago, but unfortunately, I haven't kept up with it.
Sí, así es como soy mejor que usted. Me siento un poco culpable para usar a un traductor ahora. Lamentable. ¡Es gracioso cómo los papeles son amables de invertido ahora! ¿Cómo ha sido usted?
Whew! (That's Spanish... Estoy bien, gracias. ¿Y usted?
Well...have you read what Barnes said? He sadi that they have taken some ideas from some of the later Narnia books and added them to VDT. I can almost bet you anything, that the Emerald Witch is going to be in it!
Oh, and the picture...I got it from NarniaWeb. I can't remember the exact location though.
Yeah, I have read that. That's definitely gotten me scared. You mean, the Lady of the Green Kirtle? Or if not, maybe I'm not remembering who the Emerald Witch is. Either way, wouldn't we have heard about a casting announcement for said Witch? I'm not too worried about that... However, the "unfathomable fate" idea may be more true than we thought....
Yeah, I figured you'd got it from NarniaWeb, I was just wondering which one. Oh well, maybe I'll look for it myself. It's just that, I hadn't noticed that the Dawn Treader actually had her name right on it... that's kinda neat.
BTW, any new vlogs coming soon?
My substitute computer is making funny clicking noises
Yikers, that's not good!
Yeah, good idea. Yep, 'tis that.
Ah, no problem.
Well, it will be soon... for some reason, we haven't given the TV station the DVD of the play yet. Not sure why.... but anyway, as soon as we give it to them, they'll air it sometime. That'll be quite fun.
So I subscribed to this topic, but for some reason it just emails me a copy of the next post after mine, but not posts after that one. I was wondering if that is just the way of the new forum, or if I'm doing something wrong.
Yeah, that's how the new forum works. Only the most recent unread post gets e-mailed to you, and you don't get another e-mail to you come back on the forum. I, personally, absolutely LOVE the way the new notifications work, because now I don't gets hundreds and hundreds of e-mails that clutter up my inbox. Instead, I just get one e-mail reminding me to check out a certain thread. Wonderful! Unfortunately, many people don't like how the new way works...

That's so cool, how'd you do it?
@ NN. Yep, yep. Widescreen is truly the only way to view a movie! (as long as it was originally filmed that way.) It used to mess me up with "letterbox", "widescreen (cropped)" and "Anamorphic widescreen".
Eh, that's a matter of debate. You see, the "golden ratio" (based on the Fibonacci numbers) is 5 to 3. That's the shape the eyes are most attracted to. 4:3 movies, therefore, are closest to the golden ratio and therefore are the easiest and most pleasurable on the eyes. However, 16:9 does make most scenes easier to film and view. Just a matter of opinion, I suppose.
Yeah, that all can get really confusing.
*marvels at Jojo's so eloquently-written post*
@NN, why do I have the feeling that our conversation is going in circles. About the quote, you can probably tell what movie I've been watching recently.
Haha, yes, I suppose it is. *has a mind-freeze* What was the quote, again?
NN95, That's true, boys don't generally carry gum around. Why is that?? xD
I don't rightly know, but I suspect it has something to do with the fact that boys' storage capacity on-the-go isn't as large as that of girls'. As we only have four pockets, but girls carry around large purses. Not that it's hard to carry gum in a pocket, I suppose...
Yep, unfortunately...
What's a Dinosaur Vitamin? Yikes, I've never broken a bracket before. (I have popped out my wire eating beef jerky... ) Anyway, yeah, the receptionist usually can fix things like that. Yeah, I know what you mean, it is kinda odd to go and it seems so desolate. Ah, it's usually pretty cold in there, huh? I'm not cold at the ortho's, but there are some places I go where it's freezing. I don't know why people keep there air so high.
*cracking up at NN's conversation with himself* Is it weird that I actually DO talk to myself? Only sometimes, I swear! But I always wonder...if I met like a clone of myself or something, what would happen? Would I get along with myswelf or want to tear myself apart?? (I hope it isn't the violent one, I'm not really a violent pereson)
Uh, yeah, that's a tad odd. But we all have our quirks. Hehe, that would be interesting.
*waves to Queen Susan*!!!!!
*wonders where Djaq's off to....* There's a new podcast out to discuss. Now you're two behind!
Well, I'm off. Mortereve all!

Once a SquareOnion, always a SquareOnion.
Hello everyone! How has everyone been? I hope everyone's weekend went well, I suppose mine did.
Cor: Yes, I do believe it would create a problem.
JoJo: Ah, glad to hear the update on your brother! That's good that he's doing better.
Oooh, that does not sound like fun! Don't you just feel so...helpless in situations like that? It's hard! Do you child sit the same kid(s) three times a week, or is it different ones?
Is that Nancy Drew movie the newest one, with Emma Roberts? I saw that a while ago, well, twice actually, and it was pretty good. I'm sure if I saw it again I'd find things I didn't exactly like, but for now I like it. Thanks for understanding!
Narnia Girl: Thank you! Ah, that is Margaret Hale from BBC's North & South, an adaptation of Mrs. Elizabeth Gaskell's book of the same name. It's really quite a good mini-series, set in Victorian England.
Ooooh, I'd LOVE to see pictures, if you can get them!
Fauntastic Alas then, I shall have to suffer alone. I can understand that about school, learning is fun but not all ways of learning it are.
Queen Susan: Yayness! I await your indepth post on the PHF! I'm so glad it went well and stuff!
Aiden: Ah, I see! That should be fun, is it a recent play? (Or, was it the Anne of Green Gables play- I think- that you've mentioned before?)
Well, hmm, I guess this is it. I should probably be running along now. So, cheers!
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

Queen Susan, the pics of your dog are really cute! That's too bad you didn't get to name him Remington or Ruger, although Duke isn't a terrible name for a dog. *can think of others that are worse* I can't tell from the pictures; what kind of dog is he?
Hey! Thanks. 😀 And yeah, there are much worse names. I think Duke is half Border Collie and half Australian Shepherd or something. So he's a mix. Kind of a mutt.
*waves to Johobbit*
Aww, what a cute dog! Duke and Prince, huh? Hehe. Or Fido, or Spot... there are worse names than Duke!
*groan* Oh yes, Fido and Spot would be much, much worse. Especially since this dog isn't really... spotted.
Queen Susan! It only took me about a month to get over the name with the kitty. But it didn't really matter in the end, because he left us within like four months. And Duke isn't such a bad name for a dog...I did like your choices a bit better though.
Thanks. Hm yeah. We had a kitty around here, but it left after a month or so. We never really decided on a name for it. I'm not sure if he just left to go somewhere else, or if he went off to die. He was a sick little thing. Skin, bones and fur. Everyone felt rather sorry for him.
*waves to flam* Sorry I don't have more to say.
I never go to my brothers for advice. Probably because I haven't got any.
I just noticed your location.
That would prevent you from going to them. 😉
Hehe. As you may have assumed, my location shows my dislike for Suspain.
*Waves back* Unfortunately, I did not sleep well. But that's not new, I never sleep well.
Aw, I'm sorry. My mom has that trouble a lot--she usually wakes up around 4 or 5 in the morning and can't fall back asleep. Sometimes even 2 o' clock, but I think it's getting better.
Augh! You are going to cut your head off just for a picture?! (Kidding, kidding, I know what you meant.)
Yeah. Sadly, I don't think we got any pictures of me in my Dutch costume... *sigh* Ah well. I know one girl did... I may have to ask her to email it to me. 😀 I may try to include some pics later... we'll see.
Sometimes keeping them going is just as difficult...
I love that emoticon. Wonder why...
Pretty costume. Is that a print of roses, or is it strawberries on the sash?
Very, very true.
I love it too. It's one of my favorites.
I believe it's a print of roses. 😀
Anyway--I have kind of a funny story to tell concerning you. So--we were in our van driving to the festival when I happened to glance at the license plate of a car passing us. "_ _ _ PON" it read. I immediately thought "PON! Princess of Narnia! Narniaweb!" ... Anyway, I found it amusing, and... it made me think of you. The blanks were numbers, but I don't know what ones.
Oh, for any of the TAN fans on this forum, Mike's baby girl Eisley was born today! Go to his twitter for pictures.
Oh, exciting! I've never been on twitter in my life though. So yeah. We'll see. 😉
Oh no! Colds are awful ! Well, I'm glad it's getting better . Cool! You're in a play ? Thanks, QS!
Thanks! 😀 The cold is completely gone now. And yep, I was in a play. All I talked about for a few days. You didn't notice? Just kidding.
Queen Susan: Your costume was pretty! *hopes all has gone well and awaits*
Aw, thanks! Yes, everything went amazingly well, the play went the best it has ever gone! Everyone did really well, and no one forgot any lines. I was very thankful for that--in every single practice we had before the actual thing we had at least one mis-liner... (though I'm sure that's not the correct term) But anyway, it went really well! Thank you so much for your kind thoughts, prayers, comments, consideration, and... everything.
Thy kind inquiry after my brother was most considerate, and I am now able to inform thee that his health is returning to him surely. Thank you for starting this! )
I am absolutely delighted to hear about thy brother's well-being, and very thankful that he is faring well! And how are you and your family doing? Your health is strong I hope?
What adorable dogs, QS! What breed are they?
Actually, there's just one dog. And many pictures of it. Anyway, he's half Border Collie and half Australian Shepherd I believe... though I could be wrong.
Queen Susan: Yayness! I await your indepth post on the PHF! I'm so glad it went well and stuff!
Alright, well it looks like I have a slight bit of time here... So I'll post a few details, and maybe some pics later this week. (Though I'll probably post a better one of Duke since the earlier ones were pretty bad quality...)
(Oh, and I changed my friends name. It's not really Merie. But.. yeah.)
Anyway. We got to the PHF in the morning, listened to a workshop by our Pastor on Providential History and the like. Then there were more workshops, but I didn't go to them because I was walking around and talking to my wonderful friend-Merie. ( ) We rode to our campground for dinner, tried to keep warm in the wind (eventually a different friend invited me into their car--I gladly accepted. *shiver*) then we headed back.
All the girls in the Esther drama got ready for a practice--we got hair and makeup figured out. It was kind of fun--I rarely wear makeup (maybe 1-2 times a year?) (hehe) but when I do I enjoy it. So yeah. We then had a practice for the drama--though Haman and Bigthan (a plotting-to-kill-the-king-guard) were missing. It went fairly well. After that I think we just mostly "hung out" and stuff. 😉 After supper we went to a drama about Patrick Henry, etc. by more professional people--it was really good! And neat because they acted it out kind of in the audience... It was a courtroom, and they sat amidst us, etc. There was a violinist and harpist who played two songs-the last one we sang to, the first was was "...... Farewell", the full title escapes me, though I'd like to think it was "Ashiken." but... that doesn't look quite right. Anyway, that one was absolutely gorgeous and I loved it.
After thaaaat there was some square dancing--I was going to do it with Merie, but then something occurred that prevented it--since the Festival was held in kind of an airplane museum thing, there was a plane or two in the back, and Merie's brother ran into one and gashed his head. He didn't need stitches or anything, but they were pretty worried and he was laying on the floor with a nurse that goes to our church by him. So that ended the night--not a "hoped-for" ending, but... everyone was still safe. We slept in our camper and had a heater, so I wasn't at all cold. But for some reason I couldn't fall asleep because I was sore from walking around. Finally I did, though I don't know when.
On Saturday we arrived after a pancake and bacon breakfast outside. The morning started out with welcoming, etc. There were 2 speeches, music by Nathan Clark George, and then we had our drama. I guess the audience liked it, because we received the Audience Choice Award for Best Drama--it was their favorite out of 3. Which isn't saying tons, but... yeah. They liked it from what I heard. And it was a lot of fun!!
Pretty much in the afternoon we just listened to lots of speeches and watched dramas and talked and stuff. The Audience Choice for best Speech went to my brother.
Audience Choice for best Table Display went to a young woman from our church. Then the judges gave awards: Best Drama: Merie's family
Best Speech: ... I'm getting a blank here. Oh yes. My brother's friend.
And Best Table Display: Merie's younger brother and sister.
So I knew everyone who received awards--which isn't surprising since only people I knew entered things. *laugh*
So. That was Saturday, after that I talked with Merie. Again.
Then Sunday we had church, then went to a lodge and had fellowship, ate, and then Merie and I went outside. (Yes, I was with Merie a LOT this weekend)... It was a lot of fun--we went back inside for music. The entire group sang a few songs. Merie is the most amazing piano player I know pretty much--she's just 15, but.. wow. Kat, she's probably as amazing as you. (Though I'd say she's more amazing--don't be annoyed that I'm probably biased) *laugh* So yeah. After singing we went outside again. Aaaaaand around 6:30 we left, went back to our campground, and I probably went to bed around 8:00.
This morning we woke up, packed up, left and came home in an hour or so. Then unpacked here.
And that's my long episode of details that might be rather boring. But I'll go back and give my friend a fake name so it seems more... real.
