Hello all! *Waves*

I just wanted to stop by. The new NarniaWeb hates me, so I shan't be doing any catch-up now. I have a feeling this lacks substance. One positive thing I have to say about the new forum is that everybody sarts over with no mistakes, so Aiden can stop weeping and can show his face here, again! ;)

See y'all!

*enters the new Square*

Hello everyone!! *waves*

Time to ketchup! :)

Flambeu your a cornoer?

Lol, no. I actually work at a flower shop (I'm the '
delivery girl'). May I ask why you're wondering?

sidles into the Square, grinning because Flam's avy/siggy make me smile, and that's what I'm looking upon now* Georgie looks so happy, and Skandar just looks like he's enjoying the ride. :p

Aw, thanks! I really like them as well! I've always liked the picture too!

The singing Flambeau, Howdy! :p Aye, I know what you're sayin'. Life without my Lissa would be no life at all! Even I might consider dying then! Heh heh.

Lol (just be glad that you couldn't hear me actually singing it!)! Howdy yourself! Too true! Aren't sisters awesome?!
Question, if you did end up dying, who would perform the funeral since you're the coroner? :p

Oh sure, it's my job as Town Square Coroner, but I'm rather fearful when it comes to . . . comes to . . . *how to put this delicately* . . . comes to shutting the lid on dear friends. *cries* But if you consider NOT perishing, you can be refunded for my coronary services. ;)

I don't blame you one bit! It's bad enough having to deliver to funerals, I can't imagine what it would be like to... *ahem* prepare for one. :-s
Ooh, you mean you wouldn't charge me for not dying?! Thank you so much! I suppose I can put it off for a while. :D

Aww bummer, don't whack Djaq, please. . . we'll have to call in the medic!

But...but...she started it! *points at Djaq*

Oh, look... what do you know? It's Flam! :D *waves* Hello!

Hello to you! :D How are you doing?

flam! You need to come by more often.

I'll try to! Life just gets busy sometimes.

Have you seen it?
It's really good! :-bd

No, but I think my brother has seen part of it (I'm not sure about that though).
I'll see if I can find it later. :)

Well, sorry. I was only speaking in your defense since, as I recall, you wrote "a opossum" which is most definitely more incorrect than "a possum". :p

Not entirely. I used the formal spelling of 'opossum', but it sounds wrong to have the 'an' in front of it (when you say it). So, I simply used the best of both ways and did it 'a opossum'. (sorry if that doesn't make sense, I have a headache right now so I may not be thinking straight :p )

Am I supposed to remind you as you are dying, or when you are dead?

Good question! Hmm... how about I let you chose?

We did! :p

Maybe Djaq and I should try it sometime.

Hi, Flam!!! Oooh, good, let me know if you like Gods and Generals and the others! :D Actually, if you do want to read the series, it's probably best to start with Gone for Soldiers, which is about the Mexican war. It has a lot of the same people who fought in the Civil War later, and is a good introduction to them. It's also my favorite in the series. :)

I got Gods and Generals and The Last Full Measure this afternoon (the library didn't have Gettysburg :( ) BTW, do you know which order the series goes in? I know Gods and Generals is first (right?), but I'm not sure which order the other are in.
Argh! I couldn't remember the title of the book you recommend to start with, but it turns out that they had it (and I didn't get it!). Stinkers! Oh well, maybe I can get it next time.

*waves to Flambeau*

*waves back* How are you doing?

Yes, I do! I'm sure I feel much better than Nutty or Winty!

Haha! I'm sure you are!

Why the refraining from naming?

I'm not sure. I think I had a reason, but I can't remember what it was anymore.

*smiles innocently and bats eyelashes*

*laughs evilly and assumes her 'angry face' (as Djaq calls it)*

I declared that you were guilty based on the mere fact of knowing you, and knowing that if you act innocent (as you said you were doing! ), then you're guilty!

Well, that wasn't nice of you! :p

Yes, you were!

No! I assure that I wasn't calling you a opossum! :p

"I'd give my last two lug-nuts for somethin' like that!"

"She's my fiance."

*decides that now would be a good time to inform flam that she isn't dead*

Thank you! That was very informative!

...*sniff* What happened here?

*pats Djaq on the head* Don't worry about it, it's an older sister thing.

The Torch, I love your sig and avie! :) The coloring is so bright and beautiful.

Thank you so much! I like them too!

FLAM! Welcome back to the Square! :D

Thank you! It's good to be back!
How are you doing? Done anymore youtube videos lately?

Thanks, flambeau!!! :p :D

You're welcome! :p
How are you doing today?

*waves to Bella*

*waves to flam* How are ya?

I'm doing great! Thank you! How about yourself?

@ Flam. *waves to the elusive sister of Djaq*

:p *contemplates whether she should respond or be elusive* Ehhhhh, I'll respond... Hello!

*waves to Pebbles*

*rubs eyes* :-o Gymfan???!! Hello!! :D It's great to see you about the Square!

Hey MissA! (Hey, that rhymed!) How are you doing?
Nice avi and siggy, btw. ;))

Well, I think I'm finally caught up (ketch-d-up?)!

I'm off! Have a wonderful mortereve!

*exits the Square singing Hiding*

/me wanders in.

None of this "catch up" for me, since I just got here and I don't believe in replying to each individual sentence in a post anyway. ;) Hello, everyone! I'll start replying to posts under me; don't worry. ;)

Right now I'm sitting at my computer, posting in various New Narnia(web) topics and listening to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack. I had the soundtrack on cassette tape, and I figured out how to get that onto the computer. The sound is a tad bit muffled, but I can probably go back and fix that another time. Right now, it's kind of fun to have a whole soundtrack for practically free (I thought I bought the tape at a thrift store for next to nothing).

I love my Disney and Disney Parks music...I have a couple day's worth of just Disney/Disney Parks songs in my collection, lol.

Anyone else love Disney music, or even better, Disney Parks music? I.e. stuff from Disneyland or Disneyworld, like ride soundtracks or background music or whatever. ;)) Yes, I'm slightly obsessed... ;)

Thanks for the welcome, Flambeau, and anyone I may have missed. ;))

This is actually kind of nostalgic, coming in here, because the first time I braved the waters of Ditto Town was in the veeeeery old Town Squares, about four years ago. Things definitely have changed since then: Abe is a host now, and I don't meet strange people who tip their hats at me any more. I suppose I should stop rambling before I tell everyone my entire history in Ditto Town, but still....

Anyway, I have purposed to begin visiting the Town Square more often, since it seems to have slowed down to the point where I can actually read a day's worth of posting without taking TOO much time. That said, it is nice to meet all of you that I haven't met, and it is very good to see such old friends as Gymfan15 around.

Gymmie, I'm sure you're slightly familiar with my variety of music, but feel good! I just got Beauty and the Beast onto my iTunes. :) I'm quite enjoying it.

So, a new website! What do we all think? I like it, though it'll take some getting used to. ;) I especially like the new emoticons! (Hehe, look at this one! ;;) )

Anyway. I suppose I should catch up. *sigh*

But, that will wait until later. :p I hope you all have a wonderful evening!

Mortereve all!

Aiden: I never did know how to do it before I never had a Sig with my avatar. So anyway, I made one today, and I want to use it, but I'm not sure how to get it there. I could ask Jojo, cuz she knows how, but she's not here today :( :((

Oh, I see. Well, here's how it works. First you'll have to upload the imagine to a third-party imagine hosting website. Then go into your profile where you edit your signature. And here's how to put the image in:
Does that make sense?

One positive thing I have to say about the new forum is that everybody sarts over with no mistakes, so Aiden can stop weeping and can show his face here, again! ;)

What, really? Are you serious? Yay! Hurrah! I start with a fresh slate... zero mistakes. I feel so proud of myself! :p

I'll try to! Life just gets busy sometimes.

Ah, it's the ol' life acting up again, eh? I get a touch of that every now and again, too.

No, but I think my brother has seen part of it (I'm not sure about that though).
I'll see if I can find it later. :)

Yeah, well, it's graphic... to put it mildly.
*doesn't remember what he was telling flam to look up* :-

Ah, but earlier you were claiming that "possum" was incorrect. However, using the incorrect articles in front of a noun is more incorrect than using an informal spelling. :p

*walks up behind Lady Arwen and says "BOO!"* :p ( By the way, that is an adorable smiley.)

I've been reading the pages in the old town square, but I left off sometime yesterday when I went to the State Fair. The fair was good, and we ate interesting food. Pizza-on-a-stick, egg rolls, and lefse.

I believe Cor asked where my former signature image was from and why it was familiar... I don't know, really. I read it was published in Vogue magazine, but I found it in a random image search. It reminded me of the dryads in the BBC LWW.

NN, I distinctly remember you saying that you'd been working on a catchup post for a rather long time, but searching for posts you made containing the word 'week' didn't pull up the exact post, though I think I got very close before I had to go do other things. So maybe you didn't work on a post for a whole week. I guess I missed the beginning of the conversation, but I'd say that the BBC did a stellar job with their adaption of LWW and PC. Sure, my ideal versions of those movies would involve a mish-mash of BBC, Walden, and Radio Theatre, but...

I think Betsie has had a birthday? Many happy returns of the day and wishes for many more such pleasant events, Betsie!

FF, I like your new signature image. :D Which movie is that from? *loves happy endings, in case anyone hasn't noticed*

:-h *waves lazily to everyone else might care to be waved to* It's very pleasant to see your posts here, even if I can't think of anything to say to you at the moment. And, eh, I think the 'more smileys' box is a bit crowded. It took me awhile to find the friendly wave. 8-}

Aye, I know how you feel. Has it been four years already? ;)) Now I'm trying to remember if you were a member of NWeb before I was, lol. *purposes to check join dates uno momento.*

I used to be pretty active in the Town Square for a brief period of time, but then it got too fast with too many people. Now that we're starting from scratch, I figure this is as good of a time as any to try and see if I can take the plunge again. ;))

Anyway, I have purposed to begin visiting the Town Square more often, since it seems to have slowed down to the point where I can actually read a day's worth of posting without taking TOO much time. Yeah, as I recall you weren't exactly a Disney person, except for, oh, what was it, HSM? ;) I prefer the classy type of Disney music. ;) Just kidding, dear! I'm excited because in this tape-to-computer transfer, I've also got Riverdance and a bunch of Broadway tunes transferred too.

Okey dokey, heading off to wash my hair. I was just rooting around behind the washers and dryers in our laundry room, and I have a nice head full of dust now. On a different note, it seems as if the new smilies don't include a good " >_< " smily. Urg.

Mortereve all! :) How is everyone this evening? (Or whichever time it is at your respective location). Things have been going pretty good for me- we played cricket again for Family-minus-one night, and it was actually tied at the end, so my bowling must not of been that bad. ;)

Edmund P: Ouch- I hope you feel much better soon! That's sad that you most likely won't be able to do that thing you really wanted to- quite disappointing since you've wanted to do it all summer. :( Maybe you'll feel better by then.

Ella: Chocolate fountains?? Wow- that sounds like it looks good! (Is it really chocolate flowing in place of water?)

The temple basin project sounded like an interesting thing to do. I remember once, some years ago, when we were studying the tabernacle, we used scraps of cloth to create the High Priest's garments, and used little shiny beads of the right colour for all the jewels. :) Hehe, yes, the Bible course is lots of fun! My brother is doing it as well- although he's a year ahead of me, but it's nice to be able to ask him questions about how the program runs and whatnot. :)

Aiden Aw, thanks! ;) $16.00 is pretty good for a TV season, isn't it? I bought Season 2 from Amazon.ca, and then later found it in Wal-Mart for the same price. Oh well, it wasn't a big loss or anything. I was surprised our nearest Wal-Mart would have it, I guess. Usually they don't seem to have shows like that unless they're quite new releases.

*waves to Dame of Narnia* Welcome, er, back to the Town
Square! :)

Djaq: Ah, okay! All the best with that! Do you know what some of your responsibilities will be?

I'm sure brother-in-laws are just as good as uncles. :D ;)

*waves to WinterStar* How are you? Now...who is that in your signature? I must ask. ;)

*waves to Gymfan* Do join us often in the Square! :) I don't have the actual Beauty & the Beast soundtrack, but if it's the same one as in the movie, it's really nice! :)

Hi Lady Arwen! I don't believe we've met before! *extends hand* I'm ForeverFan...but you can call me F2, or Fanny. :)

Mel, my sig is from the Amanda Root version of Jane Austen's Persuasion. I love Happy Endings too...my sister and I once started a now slightly dead "Happy Endings" fan club, and then I think Alyosha started a Tragic Endings fan club as a result, or something. 'Course we haven't done anything with them in some time. 8-|

Well! I guess this is it- cheers everyone!

Hello Everyone!
*sigh* its too sad that its the last day of Summer today :p But, I pretty much came here, on FB, and watched some stuff... Yeah.. fun day /:)

Anywho, Yeah, I'm getting used to the new Narniaweb. :D It's getting to be a fun site so far, and four pages in a day! :D

Ah, I see. Interesting nickname! Oh, that's weird!

Lol, we get "looks" if we use the term, we sometimes get looks ;) :P.
Yeah it was weird.. and upsetting especially if I was doing something on there.

Yeah, it would be so cool if it were real.

It would... ANd it'd have good books on there too :P *mutters something about her library not having the best selection of books*

Oh! Its Lissa!!! :D/ :D/ How are ya? Its great seeing you here!

Ella: Chocolate fountains?? Wow- that sounds like it looks good! (Is it really chocolate flowing in place of water?)

Lol, It was more like a ton of those "Fondue" (sp?) machines, so... it looked like a chocolate fountain :p.
Once I tried to make fudge from this home recipe book, and it was... a disaster. I didn't have some fudge, so I tried chocolate (plain chocolate) It was pretty nasty.

The temple basin project sounded like an interesting thing to do. I remember once, some years ago, when we were studying the tabernacle, we used scraps of cloth to create the High Priest's garments, and used little shiny beads of the right colour for all the jewels. Hehe, yes, the Bible course is lots of fun! My brother is doing it as well- although he's a year ahead of me, but it's nice to be able to ask him questions about how the program runs and whatnot.

LOL! I can imagine a line of children in Priestly clothing.
Yeah, it was pretty interesting.. But it wasn't hard. We just basically put a larger bowl on top of a smaller one, and wrap it all in aluminum foil. The smaller bowl was the "leg" i suppose for the bigger bowl to be on top. If you fill it with water, you get a miniature version (and a less metal :p) or the basins they used.
Thats great about your brother. So do you do this at home, or do you do a particular curriculum?

I shall be around! (Well, I shall be reading the Silver Chair with my mom until our next break. Yes, she wanted to the read the Narnia series for the first time this summer. :D We're telling her to join NW.)

@ Ella: I completely forgot to add that the priest garments were rather small, miniatures, actually. #-o ;) Hehe!

We do it at home- but it's a distance college course from Moody. Basically, you pay the money (much less then going to a real college, I'd assume), and they send you a computer program which you install into your computer. It's all self contained, so everything- exams, tests, lessons, study guides and supplemental reading, is on that CD. So it's both, really. :) Since we're allowed to have it on two computers, my brother is doing it 'officially', which means working towards a degree, or something, and he's an official student. I'm doing it unofficially. I could be taking the tests and exams, but they don't seem to work on my computer, so I just do the lessons/memorize the verses, etc. :)

O.K, my first catch-up post on the new forum! *cheers, a few jeers but the jeerers are quickly escorted off the premises.*

Yes, it turned out well. I didn't actually make the pasta, just cooked it. (pasta from a bag is such a great thing....)

@ NN. I like both, though I'm more fond of these since they have more expressions. :)

Kind of a weird feeling. If I can, I'm planning on taking a year off from school, get a job and save up some money before I go to college. @ Lissa. LISSA!!!!!!!!! *tackle hugs* It is SO GOOD to see you again! (granted, we still talk on FB, but anyway...) I hope you can stop by again this evening. *whispers* Try and drag Jojo with you, k?

Well, seeing aa how that's what I call them, that's good. :p Welcome.

*waves to missA and Winter*

@ Flam. Ello! Nice to see you and your sister around the Square! I might have to coem up with a new nickname for you since you keep appearing in the Square. :p

@ GymFan15 and Lady Arwen. Welcome, my ladies, to Isengard! Er, Hmm.... wrong welcome. *ahem* Welcome, my ladies, to Town Square! It is a pleasure to meet both of you and I hope to get to know both of you better here in the Square. :)

Oh yes! Almost forgot to introduce myself.... I'm PrinceCor, though most everyone calls me Cor or PC. You may call me whatever you like (within reason, mind you. ;) )

@ Mel. Yes, I was the one who asked about your Sig. Alright, for some reason it looked familiar to me. Not sure why, but it did. *shrug*

The very first Ditto Story EVER! By Earel Alquawen

Adventures in Dittotopia

In a land called Dittotopia all was peaceful and dittoful. Madam President of Dittotopia, and her Vice-president did an excellent job of ruling the land. They lived at the center of Dittotopia in a house full of semi-precious dittos, with their kitten, aptly named Ditto-Kitty. Ditto-Kitty was a rare find; she was a talking cat that was on the President’s advisor board, along with Mr. Ditto, the Ditto Guru, and the Ditto “Absolutely!” Man, and Friend of Ditto.

One day, Madam President received word during her daily briefings of a new malady pervading the land. It was affecting all and sent the masses into a panic.

“We must find the cause of this!” cried Madam President. “Bring forth the advisors, gurus, and dittopud’s at once!”

Madam Vice-President ran through the halls and soon everyone was assembled in the Hall of Great Ditto.

“What should we do?” said the president.

“Call out the National Guard!” cried Mr. Ditto.

“Declare a National Emergency!” shouted the Ditto Guru.

“No! We must call in the Great Dittotologist,” said Ditto Kitty.

“Absolutely!” called the Ditto “Absolutely!” Man.

“Ditto!” shouted everyone

So it was settled. The Great Dittotologist received the summons form the President and arrived quickly. As soon as the Great Dittotologist entered the room, everyone began asking questions.

“What is it?”

“What’s it called?”

“Where did it come from?”

And most importantly, “Is it contagious?”

“Hold on, one at a time!” cried the Great Dittotologist. “This malady is called Dittotitus. It affects mostly older people and causes them to have an extreme hatred at those who use ditto. Symptoms exhibited include sneezing, nausea, and twitches when in close proximity to a Dittotopianite. As near as I can tell, the disease entered unawares through a Marshditto’s Wardrobe Door. We are not yet sure how contagious it is.”

“But surely we can do something!” said Madam Vice President

“Ditto!” cried all the Dittopuds.

“Absolutely!” chimed the Ditto “Absolutely!” Man.

“To a Lab for a cure!” cried Mr. Ditto.

“STOP!” yelled the president, “Let’s get a second opinion.”

Everyone gathered together and marched to the University of Dittotopia to consult with the Professor of Ditto.

“Why are you asking me? I don’t know anything about this!” said the Professor of Ditto when shown the Great Dittotologists research.

Suddenly, Friend of Ditto called “It looks more like a genetic disorder than a disease.”

Friend of Ditto had studied the genetic disorders of the people of Dittotopia years before when in college.

“You’re right,” replied the Great Dittotologist, “I must do more research. And Friend of Ditto will help me.”

“Great, how much is this going to cost the government?” said Mr. Ditto, the newly appointed Treasurer of Dittotopia.

“And I’ll stand guard to keep them safe,” added the Ditto Guru, who had just been deemed the head Ditto BodyGuard.

Three weeks later, the Great Dittotologist and Friend of Ditto came up with a cure for dittotitis. The patent from the Bureau of Dittos is still pending. Meanwhile, thousands have been cured thanks to the Great Dittotologist’s brilliance and the Friend of Ditto’s observance
