Ah, another day is gone. How is everyone this beautiful Autumn day? Wow! it's almost October? Gosh, this year has really flown by. Before we know it, VDT is going to be in theatres! Today I did school ( of course!) and a worked all afternoon on a picture for the "Illustrating the Chronicles" thread in NFA. Here it is. It's the first drawing I've done in a really long time. After anticipating getting braces for a month now, it was delayed. I'll be getting them in three weeks or so now. :) I went to my guitar lesson today. It was a little frustrating X( . We're getting on with really technical stuff 8-| . Well, I do believe it is time for another CATCHUP!

To be honest, EP, I've never been much into sports either (give me a book any day!) but my mom wanted my sister and I to get more experience playing different sports, so...she signed us up for volleyball. But, I am enjoying it a lot. :)
Oh, yes, the library is a wonderful place. I could spend hours there.

Oh, I see. Well, I'm glad that you are enjoying it! Oh! I love libraries and book stores. :) So, how have you been?

Yes, busy!! But I'm also happy, because today (Saturday) I actually got to sleep in for a change!!! Nowhere to go today. :) :) I have the whole day to myself...and my homework. :P

Ah, sounds nice! I have begun to like Saturdays more. I appreciate them more too because you can get some rest! :) ;)

I've been doing pretty well, Ed P. :) Ah, for the Spanish you wrote, may you transalate? :P *is feeling lazy, at the moment*

Great, Bella! I've been doing pretty well myself. H'mm, as for the Spanish...I don't feel like going and looking for the page number right now ;)) .

I almost went and saw them about a month ago, but ended up not going. :( I think they're coming back to my part of the world in early December, so maybe I can go then. :D All these reports have convinced me I'll love it. :p
Oh cool, a fellow guitarist! What type of guitar will you be getting? (Meaning acoustic or electric)

Really? You should have gone! That's good, you should definitely go see them then :) . I got an electric. I had been playing acoustic for the three years preceding though. What about you? Acoustic or electric?

Just a bit. Not an obsession or anything of the kind, of course. :p ;) How did you hurt your back?

Not an obsession ;)) :-o ?! Well...I hate to say it, but we're not really sure. All I know is that I have a torn muscle cord :-s . Sounds lovely doesn't it? 8-|

I've been doing great, although tired! (See beginning of post) Oh, and I believe it was fauntastic who wrote the bit about the braces that you quoted--I've never had them. ;) I hope the braces go well for you though!

Yes..tiredness is awful thing. I had mono back in the winter and it was AWFUL! Ohh...whoops! Yes, I hope they go well too!

*simultaneously snickers and sighs in frustration*

=)) ;))

Edmund P: How are things for you? Thanks! Yes-- sore throats are really nasty, aren't they? I think I'm almost over it now except for this cough that has everyone asking me if I'm really okay. Oh well. I. Will. Survive.

Things are going well, thank you! Busy to the highest, but I will be fine. Ugh! coughs are terrible! It feels sometimes as if you were coughing up your throat! :-s

Well, actually I wrote this and not malkah, ahaha. ;)) You're lucky you have a clue what you are getting into, I am the oldest in my family and no one else has really had braces, so I just had to go off what my friends told me! Luckily their advice was pretty useful, hehe. When I first got mine on, another friend had just gotten hers off and said that she was worried about having a whiter spot where her braces were and that got me really nervous! My teeth are a little splotchy anyways, when I was a baby I had a really high fever before 6 months and that resulted to the miscoloring of my teeth, and I've had to live with that all my life. Thankfully, my parents promised me a professional teeth-whitening when I get mine off so maybe that can all be fixed! I've always been very subconscious of my teeth, and It'd be nice not to have to feel that way anymore :)

Haha, I know! Sorry about that.

Ick, that sounds awful about your fever when you were a baby! At least you don't remember it! Ah, laser-whitening! I've always wanted to have that!

*Waves to Queen Susan* Hi QS! How are you? :)

Hi, LL! I always enjoy your colorful posts! :D How have you been? :)

Hago bien. Ocupado, sin embargo.

Oh well, I suppose only time will tell, eh?

Yes, only time will tell. Just from observing everything, I can tell you this, VDT the film is going to be nothing like the book. It may keep the themes and the spirit of the book, but it will be nothing like it.

Well, that's it! I'm done :D/ :) .

I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.

I'm back, I'm back! Well, for one post at least...
Just wanted you guys to keep up with my life. :)
So, my book is coming along, albeit slowly. I'm still trying to write a chapter a week, but it's more like a chapter ever two weeks. But anyway, it's my first novel, so give me a break. :P
On Saturday, I was able to attend a Ohio State football game. It did rain a lot, but it was a ton of fun! You can see some photos of the event here: http://www.xoopit.com/s/214ux0mckyzk8txjji1e
So, Mortereve all ye SquareOnions. I shall be back! (to read your replies, at least)

Mortereve all!

Ketchup...here goes...

School everday, and church on Sundays and Wednesdays...ha, yeah, me too, NN95. :p Which reminds me, Wednesday is tomorrow, which means that Wednesday Night Teen Church is tomorrow too. I enjoy that a lot at my church. :)

*waves back to WS and gives her a hug* How are you doing?

Lol. Hey, no worries, Syd (is it okay if I call you that?), sometimes I read when I should be doing schoolwork. :p

Ha! A biography Of Queen Swanwhite would be way more interesting than Thomas Jefferson, malkah! And what if they had a book about when Aslan created Narnia? Like, it could have Polly and Digory in it and everything. ;)
Yeah, it's the sequel to Isle of Swords! I loved IoS. Pirate stories are so exciting. B-) Yes, Isle of Fire has the same characters and everything. Cat and Anne command a ship for the monks, as they search to kill an evil man called the Merchant. And Bartholomew Thorne is still alive, so Captain Ross and his crew go after him. It's so awesome!
Thanks, we just got back from seeing Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs a few hours ago, and it was really good. :D I never read the book for it, but I've heard of it.
Yes, I have read Ella Enchanted, malkah! I loved it - I've read lots of books by Gail Carson Levine. She's such a good author. I'm assuming you've read Ella Enchanted too? :)

I've heard of Brian Jacques, FF. Have you read many books by him, and were they good?

I've been great, thanks, EP. We went to see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs at the movie theater today. It was really cute and funny! Have you seen it?

PON!!! *hugs Princess tightly* I've missed you in the Square (even if I still see you in chat sometimes :p )! I love your avatar. :D

Ketchup is done! Took longer than usual today. ;)) Anyway, we did go and see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs today. :D It was so funny, it was really sweet and cute, and I enjoyed it a lot. Oh yeah, and I had tons of popcorn. Lol.

Good mortereve, Ditto Town!

Glad you enjoyed the Ohio State game, pon! There's something exciting about the atmosphere of college football that makes it fun.

Narnia Girl, I read Ella Enchanted once upon a time and liked it - definitely better than the movie adaption.

Looks like a quiet evening in the Square. I'm inclined to enjoy a little ice cream as I keep an eye on the Twins-Tigers game and NarniaWeb - so what if the season's first frost is likely tonight? ;)

And if it's clear and dark where you are, check out the Moon just northeast of bright Jupiter. Very pretty! :)

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Mortereve all!

Edmund P, good job on that drawing for "Illustrating the Chronicles". I remember following that a long time ago when it was first started. Haven't checked it out in a while, though.

You know, it's kinda funny... I remember a while ago there used to be someone who could speak Spanish fluently in the Square. I would use a translator to talk to him, and he could talk back (without a translator, of course), and it was fun, even though I didn't know the slightest bit about Spanish. Now the roles are sort of reversed. I'm nowhere near fluent, of course, but I can understand a whole lot without a translator, and it's quite fun not to have to use one. *contented sigh* :)

Yes, only time will tell. Just from observing everything, I can tell you this, VDT the film is going to be nothing like the book. It may keep the themes and the spirit of the book, but it will be nothing like it.

It always does. :P Ohh, I wouldn't say the movie will be nothing like the book. They may change some stuff around, but I think they'll keep the basic plot-line and, like you said, the themes. As long as it's not too crazy, I'll be happy with it. With PC, I wasn't upset that they changed things. I was upset at what they changed them too. Peter's attitude, the kiss, things like that. Changes themselves don't bother me too much, but if they're a change for the worse and not the better, that's when I don't like them.

BTW, I asked this once, but maybe you didn't catch it... what picture is your sig from?

Princess!!!! Come by more often! Glad to hear your book's coming along. I didn't know you were a fan of football! Glad you got to go to a game. :D

School everday, and church on Sundays and Wednesdays...ha, yeah, me too, NN95. :p Which reminds me, Wednesday is tomorrow, which means that Wednesday Night Teen Church is tomorrow too. I enjoy that a lot at my church. :)

Yep, that's the routine, alright. It's not mundane and boring at all, though. Having a routine is good for the body. Ah yes, tomorrow is Wednesday, isn't it? *also looks forward to teen meeting at church*

*waves to stargazer* :-h

Dum-de-de-DUM!

Would you believe it? Betise (new nickname!) is indeed doing her famed and pretended-to-be-longed-for catch up posto!

Beginning at page 79, of the old forum, Town Square XIV:

(I contemplated doing this alphabetically, because I like to do that, but chronologically will work better for all present purposes.)

*waves to Frank, my best friend's "imaginary" (disputed) friend*

*waves to Narnia Girl*

Jack Russell Terrorist

That is awesome! :D It's hard to realistically show my enjoyment. But I think that's close.

*waves to Betsie*

Mel. Do you still remember that I didn't bold your name? If you want, you can believe that it's because you're more important, but it really is because I'm not that perfect. ;)

Lady Liln. I still haven't found you a nickname. I'll have to get back to you on that. (I heard a rumor that you use the same color for responding to each person each time?..)

*waves to Winter* I forgot you in my waving last week. And I feel awful.

Fanny! Our giant hugs are annihilated? Oh dear. I liked those.
Wanna talk about Myers-Briggs again? I think it's pretty easy to recognize INTJs. They're amazing fun. I have a harder time recognizing the exact varieties of Extroverts, since I haven't read about them much because I haven't had much experience with them.

*waves to Miss Rosario!* I forgot you, too. We need to talk more so that doesn't happen again. Or maybe I should come up with a nickname for you.

BellaNotFromTwilight. It makes me feel special to find an old post, where you call me Bets and talk to me in brown and pink.
Did you finish the Anne series yet? I wish there were a million... only eight. I love L.M.Montgomery. (I bought an old hardcover copy of Mistress Pat and it arrived today! :D ) I'm actually probably in the same place in Anne of Avonlea as I was last time I talked to you. I haven't read much, and there were library books I needed to take care of first.

*curtsies to Mr. Knightley, and tries not to say anything about how "miss" ought to be capitalized* Talk about beating a dead horse.

Queen Susan. I am quite touched by your attachment to me.

Hey, Valia! How is school going? Mechanical Engineering is like totally the opposite of anything I ever think about. ;;)

*waves to Ti'ana*

*waves to Balustrade the First* Are you for really an alien? My brother was replaced by an alien from Planet X for about three years when he was eight. The alien's name was Quinch Pim Wring, and looked just like my brother. When he'd just come from Planet X, though, his voice was very high pitched. And my sister pretended an alien replaced her, named Quincher Pimmer Wringer. She was about two.

Djaq. I'm still humming Nickel Creek songs.

*waves to Edmund P.* You called me Bets, which rather frightened me.

Joho! You brighten my day! Missed you. By being gone and not seeing you.

*waves to flam* Why don't you like The Fox? I love that song!

The fox and his wife
Without any strife
Sat down to their meal
With a fork and a knife
And they never had such a meal in their life
And the little ones chewed on the bones-o!

(Although it is a little sad that the little ones only got the bones. Maybe they'd already had their suppers and baths and brushed their teeth, and they just let them stay up a little longer...?)

*waves to Destined* I miss you so much!

Thank you to Fanny, Balustrade, Winter, Mr. Knightley, and Djaq for giving me such a splendid birthday, even though other "more important things" :^o were happening then.

Oh, it's Betsie's birthday? Happy Birthday, then!

You sound begrudging.

I responded everything by just finding "Betsie," so I hope I didn't miss anything or anyone important who used one of my alternate names... Oh dear. Thinking about that frightens me.

Well, believe it or not, that's all for the old forum!! Didn't take as much as I thought it would... Less than an hour! Mortereve! I'll finish this new thread on July 17th, 2087. But then I might have lost my sight, hearing, locomotion, internet, account, life, or brain, so maybe I won't. Nothing is predictabkle, you know.

Good evening, everyone. I trust that perhaps your days have gone somewhat smoother than mine did? What an interesting day my family has had. /:) To start things a'stirring, my oldest brother called this morning to say he was home from the office with extreme stomach pain; so much so that he had to actually go home, since he couldn't sit at his computer-desk! :| We told him to go to a clinic, so he did, and the doctor hurried him to the hospital for an emergency-appendectomy. So...you can imagine how panicked I was when I heard that somebody was gonna cut into my brother! (I get scared over things like this, but don't show it outwardly; I just pray earnestly)

He had surgery tonight; his appendix wasn't ruptured, just inflamed, and he came out all right. My Dad took off after school to be with him, and the latest report (via my brother's facebook-status. LOL) is that the patient is ready to go bowling. Yeah right. :p :) Prayer for a speedy recovery would be much appreciated, if any of you happen to think of my brother in the next few days. :)

Amid all this, Lissa and I were in the company of two very sweet and dear girlfriends, and one of our activities was to get our ears pierced. Lissa and the older of the twins had theirs pierced a while back, so just us younger sisters got ours done today. The lady said it didn't hurt. It did. :-o Hehe, actually it stung, but didn't hurt too badly.

Exciting and busy day for me! I even got my math lesson done for the day. :D And tomorrow Lissa and I are going to be cleaning a lady's house all day and attending Bible study in the evening. Thursday and Friday I'm babysitting all day. I'm worn out thinking of this all, so I think the only way to get ahead is to go to bed now, eh? i-)

I hope to someday very soon make my catch-up, but for now I will bid you all a good evening. :) *waves to Bestie, NN, Bella, Narnia Girl, Winter, Ruby, Djaq, and all others* I'll see you friends later! G'night!

*Jojo takes her aching back and burning ears (just when I touch 'em ;) ) up to her bed for a few winks of precious sleep*

I haven't seen the Ella Enchanted movie, stargazer, but I really loved the book.

Definitely, NN95. Routines are good for the body. But school is getting a bit boring for me. ;)) Seems like it's just the same boring subjects over and over again everyday.

*waves back to Betsie* July 17th, 2087...aw, come on, that's ages away! :p

Jojo, wow! I'll keep your brother in my prayers.
That's cool that you got your ears pierced though! Wearing earrings is such fun. :D Haha, it didn't really hurt or sting when I got mine pierced. I just felt a pinch when they pierced my ears, and after that it hurt just a little bit. I was probably too excited about having pierced ears to notice the pain. ;))
I'll be looking forward to your ketchup! :)

This ketchup only took, like, five minutes! Hmm, well, the Square was a bit slow last night, I guess. Today my little brother has piano lessons, and we'll go to the library during his lessons. And tonight is Wednesday Night Teen Church...can't wait!

*waves back* I most certainly am! :P Pray tell, why did such aliens replace your siblings? Was it of their own choice? Perchance, that of the aliens? I, on the other hand, have not been replaced by anyone, but am an alien by birth. ;)

It makes me feel special to find an old post, where you call me Bets

You called me Bets

I responded everything by just finding "Betsie," so I hope I didn't miss anything or anyone important who used one of my alternate names...

Boy, that seems kinda contradictory, doesn't it?

Aww, Jojo, I'm sorry your brother had to have an appendectomy. Praise the Lord he came out of it alright, though. My mom and dad and I have all had appendectomies, but mine was the worst—inflamed for a couple days and burst for a couple more before we even went to the doctor.

Yay, I just used Lazarus to recover this! :D

Definitely, NN95. Routines are good for the body. But school is getting a bit boring for me. ;)) Seems like it's just the same boring subjects over and over again everyday.

They are that. Aw, but you learn new things every day! It's not boring! Well, ok, some things get boring. But this year I've had quite a few interesting classes. EDIT: Lol, my teacher said just today how, about this time of year, things can start getting mundane and boring. ;)) I don't think so at all, though.

And, an interesting note; I signed in this morning, and saw that I had 6 new PMs!! :-o I was rather surprised-- I was only expecting 1 or 2... I do believe that's the most PM's I've gotten at once before. ;))

Anyway, concerning PM's, I'll try to PM you both soon, Jojo and Destined! Hopefully today or tomorrow since this weekend is... very busy. ;))

QS, enjoy the history festival!
I'm sorry about your grandfather. Praying for you!

I will! And thank you so much. It really means a lot to me! :)

Oh well, undecided is a better than being a Mac fan. :P
Hmm, you sure about that? Just kidding. ;))

;)) *laugh* Yes, quite positive. 😉 (If you forget what we were saying, it was about Mac/PC users being in heaven) 😉

*waves and grins to Winter* Hope you slept well. 😉

Love the new sig and av of Lucy on the Dawn Treader, Starkat!!

Queen Susan, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather! Praying for you and your family!

Thank you, malkah!! :)

Ah, it's less then a week away? I'll be praying that everything goes well and everyone is calm, although I'm sure everything will go off without a hitch. :)
Mmmm, that's sad about your grandfather's illness, I'll be praying for you all about that too...

Yes, and now it's just 2 days away! Very exciting! :D *needs to work on lines, though she get's a clipboard and gets to glance at her lines if she forgets, since she's this interviewer person* ;))
Thank you so much for your prayers-- All of you here are so kind. :)

I just lost my post, and I was getting really excited, but then Firefox got it back for me and I didn't get to use Lazarus. :(

;)) Hehe. I got to use it this morning-- lost a short PM...

*Waves to Queen Susan* Hi QS! How are you? :)

Good, but needing to go start school soon. ;)) And actually, I have a cold... :p But I *think* it's getting better. We'll see. I'm hoping it won't hinder the play I'm in this weekend. :)
Nice illustration, BTW!

*waves to PON* Yay! You posted! ;)

Would you believe it? Betise (new nickname!) is indeed doing her famed and pretended-to-be-longed-for catch up posto!

Queen Susan. I am quite touched by your attachment to me.

;)) Hehe. :p *wonders if "Betise" has read her most recent comments to Destined concerning her... (Concerning Bets that is, not DTR) ... They've been quite woeful. :p ;)

I'll finish this new thread on July 17th, 2087.

No, NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can you do this to me? I can't bear it!!!! :(( :(( :((

;)

Aw, Jojo: Praying for your brother's health, and for you and your family!!!

Yes, that's right. Somehow, she always uses the same colors for the same people.

Wow. That's beyond me. Does she have a list or something that helps her keep track? ;))

You know, it's funny, there's so many people here that just have "Double initials..." ;)) NN, FF, LL, and... that's all I can think of, but... ;))

Soooo... (For all of you wondering how I've been and what I've been up to) ;)) 2 days until the History Fest!! Wow. I'm really excited. :D I plan on wearing a old Dutch costume of my sister's... maybe I can post pics. :D And there's tons going on...
Along with that, we just got a new puppy--haven't named it yet. Part Border Collie and part Australian Shepherd or something... I'm not sure. But it's fun so far... Haven't named it. ;))
Aaaaaaaaand... I have a cold, and have had it for... *counts* At least 4 days, this is the 5th. So... yeah. I hope it gets better soon. :) Don't want to be sneezing on stage for the PHF. *laugh* So yeah. Life is busy.

And now I must go do school and practice piano and get some work done...

And eagerly await a post by Destined... and a few others. (*nudges Johobbit gently*) ;)

NG, I've missed you too! I do miss the Square when I'm gone, but college does have to take priority.

I continue to appreciate our college student's dedication to studies. Likewise for our NWeb home and public school students. Perhaps it is self serving, but those truly dedicated to school have posts that are much easier to read. :p

And if it's clear and dark where you are, check out the Moon just northeast of bright Jupiter. Very pretty! :)

Indeed. Very pretty.

That is awesome! :D It's hard to realistically show my enjoyment. But I think that's close.

Teyla's weapon of choice? Her really sharp teeth. Ugh. Ouch. Bleh. Good dog, just ... rambunctious. She was testing Miss Rachel last night; quite sure of that.

I don't think so at all, though.

This is absolutely one of my favorite times of the year. August usually drags for me; the last two years not so much. Two full-time jobs seems to make time pass really fast.

It is confirmed that Miss Rachel and I shall be having Thanksgiving (US) dinner with Earel Alquawen and her folks. She had dinner with us last year, and now we are going to her place. Very much looking forward to that.

Mortereve, all!

I have some extra time today, so y'all get a quick (meaning, I skimmed :( ) catchup. :)

NG, deer are so fun to see; just not when they dart across the road. ;)

Still, as long as it's not a hectic, frantic, rip-you-hair-out kind of busy, it's rewarding in the end. ;))

Hair still located in the hair follicles which are located in the dermis which consists of. . . oops. ;) Hair on your head and not in your hands is good. :p

*waves and hugs Winter* I need to find those substance fairies /:) . . . well, maybe not, but they sound fun. :p

*waves to Kat*

fauntastic, I'm not a fan of the highway either (I still won't take it when I can go through back-roads/city in nearly the same time). I trust you retrieved your father with out any problems?

malkah, I coach a swim team. Little kids who splash more then swim. Good stuff. :p

[. . .] I use Apologia for science and Teaching Textbooks for math. :)

I loved the Apologia books; best science textbooks out there, IMO. I know some friends who used and loved Teaching Textbooks as well; we stuck to Saxon.

Fanny, I'm sorry about the computer problems, those are never fun. :-q Have you been able to fix the problems?

I just lost my post, and I was getting really excited, but then Firefox got it back for me and I didn't get to use Lazarus. :(

Aww, sorry. ;))

Lovely illustration, Ed P. :-bd

*waves to Princess and Gazer*

(I heard a rumor that you use the same color for responding to each person each time?..)

Well, I do and I don't. 8-} I try to use the same color for the same people, but I don't have colors for everyone (I don't have a specific one for you yet ). If you have a color that I've used that you like, or a certain shade that your like, I'll try to use that for you. This applies to all Square Onions. ;) :)

Jojo, praying for your brother! That sounds pretty awful.

Yay, I just used Lazarus to recover this! :D

Hurrah! :p

Does she have a list or something that helps her keep track? ;))

On the old forum (which I miss :(( ) I just knew where (or, whereish) my colors for certain people were. With the switch, I was too attached to those old forum colors, so I went through and got all the numbers and use those codes here. So, I do have a cheat sheet now. :p

*waves to Ben*

Cep, Teyla's still biting? Doesn't sound fun.

Sounds like wonderful Thanksgiving plans!

And, I'm off! God bless, all!

*appears in the New Town Square for the first time* Sorry, you all---I've just been incredibly busy. I've been reading it when I can, though, if that makes any of you feel better. :D And there's no way I can catch up or, dare I say it? stay caught up on this thread. Sorry, folks. :P I wasn't even planning on making a post...but a couple things caught my eye (Hi, Betsie! :D and I thought since I have a spare moment (no homework due tomorrow :D), I'd make a real quick post, mainly about this page.

Ruby, nice avvy. :D (I had it first, though ;) )

How're you doing, NN95? :)

Betsie! :D How's everything going? And don't worry---Mechanical Engineering is definitely not for everyone. ;))
(On the Fox---maybe the little ones were cutting their teeth? ;) )

Glad your brother 's okay, Jojo. :) And it's good to see you!

Ella Enchanted is a really fun book, isn't it, NG? :)

The History Fest sounds fun, Queen Susan! And do post pictures, please---the outfit sounds neat. :D

*waves to Benjamin*

Thanksgiving with Earel, cep? Sounds fun! :D

Hey, pon. How're you doing? :)

~LL~!!! How're classes? Are you surviving? ;)
And Apologia Science is great. :D ;)

*sends her greetings to all the new SquareOnions* Great to have you all here! :)

And to all the SquareOnions. Djaq, Flam, Jo, DoM, Fanny, DTR, PELS, Bella, C.SLN, and the Royal Family especially. :) (And anyone/everyone else I forgot. )

Oh, and me? I'm surviving. That's about it. ;)

Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
