Welcome, fauntastic! I notice you are in Arizona, too. It'll be nice to have someone else around here with a mixed-up time zone. ;)

Yay for Arizona! Pfft, Time Zones...As far as I'm concerned, everyone else is strange for switching up their clocks! :D

=)) So true. I had a phone conversation with a person the other day who needed to know my time zone. I told him "Arizona" and he said, "No, not your state, your time zone." Rather than fight the issue, I simply gave him my current time-zone. 8-|
The worst part is that I live very close to California. So any time you want to drive somewhere in Cali, you have to stop and think about what time zone you're in and which one they're in. ;))

I wouldn't mind living in a no-Daylight Saving Time state. ;)

It's been a busy weekend! I just came in from a pleasant campfire in our backyard; we roasted marshmallows and watched the International Space Station pass by.

My brother and his family were in town most of the weekend (they live about 4 hours away); he's a big baseball fan so we went to yesterday's Twins game. We also went out to eat a few times, spent lots of money at a used bookstore, and took a hike in a nearby park. All in all, quite nice.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Mortereve all! I hope everyone had a pleasant Sunday. I certainly did. :) Nice and relaxing, "As they always should be, but so seldom are."

Catching-up:

@ Malkah. I'm doing well and yourself?

I agree with your point, though I felt so sad for Lawrence at the end when all his work to give the Arab's there own country failed and then it turns out that both the British and Arab's have been using him all along. :(

No, it came out in 1975. Though, it's set before WWI, but just slightly before. It's a very good movie. :)

@ Winter. Wow, sounds like a.... painful week. Glad you're doing well, though. :) The weekend is definitely something I eagerly look forward to now.

*waves to Earel and tips hat to Cepp/Gorse*

@ Mel. It has both, though mostly horses. Not sure what kind, but there are lot's of them. :) Hmm, I think it would be O.K to watch with the whole family. It's about on the same level of Empire Strikes Back tone and content wise. Some mild language, some fight scenes and three instances of guys getting there heads lopped off. (non-gory, either out of frame or seen from far off.)

I hope that brief review helped.

-------------------

And with this, I should probably head off now. Goodnight to all!

Umm...I guess this one might be my favorite, Winter: :p I always thought it was such a funny, cute smiley. ;)) What about you?

Me either, Meltintalle. Though I think my favorite Christmas hymn would probably have to be "O Come All Ye Faithful." It's a beautiful song as well. :)

Howdy, fauntastic! Welcome to the Square! This is where all of us weird folks hang out. :p ;) It's tons of fun.

Oh, okay, Earel Alquawen. I don't care much for football myself. I hardly understand it anyway.

Stargazer! Hello! It sounds like you had a very pleasant weekend. Campfire and marshmallows...sounds fun!

Wow, the Square moved slowly yesterday. But that's how it is lots of Sundays...still, this feels like such a short post! :p So anyways...the weekend just sped by, and now it's over and I have school today. Oh well.

My little brother is downstairs watching the Pink Panther show. I used to watch it with him sometimes, but it got boring after a while. :p I prefer Tom and Jerry to the Pink Panther. :p ;) :D

Well, I'm off. Have a marvelous mortereve, everyone! ;) :)

God has shown em over and over that Baptism is required for Salvation, along with, believing, rpeenting and remaining stead fast. It says in teh book of ROmans how was are under one faith, one Baptism, in Acts 19 it tlaks about needing to be Baptised to recieve the HOly Spirit, in Acts 2:38 it says to repent and be Baptized FOR the remission of sins. In Mark 16: 16 JESUS HIMSELF said, "Whoever believes an dis baptised will be saved who ever doesnt believe willbe condemned." If baptism was not erequired for salvation, then He would not have said "Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved." If any of you on here agree with this please PM me.

Well, I wore a shirt I bought this summer yesterday. I had only worn it once so I eagerly wore it yesterday, even though ti was not first in my closet order. I looked os stylish. I need a new hat.

I was watchign Suite Life On Deck on youtube. That episode was so cute at the end when Zack and Cody hugged. Those boys are so handsome!

Mortereve all!!

How is everyone this fine mortereve?

I'm doing alright. It has been way too long since I've been in here I'll try to stick around more in the future. I'm sounding like PP now. :(( I liked the other crying emoticon we had on the old forum better. Oh well, I shall just have to stick with this little guy.

Yesterday was a long day. We went to church in the morning, then went to a get-together at another place. We did get to shoot off some long delayed fireworks though. There is something about blowing stuff up. It was very satisfying.

NG, I love your avatar. I watched the original three Star Wars the other day. It was so nice to watch them one after the other. It made me pick up on some stuff that I wouldn't have picked up otherwise. Yeah I tend to be a Star Wars nut.

Fauntastic, you should venture down here more. It can get very fun.

Well, I'm off for right now. I have to do school, and finish knitting a washcloth....actually, I should post pics of some washcloths I made for Mom.

Greetings, my friends! :D

Oh, c'mon. I can never find where I posted last, these days. :P It's all the new forum's fault. ;)

Fanny! I looove your new avatar! That's wonderful, my dear. :D

And I wrote up a lovely little reply about how you were picking on Fanny, and how mean that was. And then Valia pointed out what that really said.

Oh dear! I'm dreadfully sorry for being so confusing. :P ;)) Anyway, I think we understand each other now. ;) By the way, your avatar is awesome!! Dare I ask what it's from? ;)

Now I'm confusing Djaq. :P Goodness, my head must have been muddled that day! Now, you haven't ever actually called me Dennis-just said that you'd accidentally typed it. ;)
'Vell, I do like This Side, which I listened to because Flam was talking about it. ;)) And I like Reasons Why. I'd kind of have to listen to them some more to tell what my favorites are. And I will sometime, promise. ;) I'm trying to right now (and just showed my little brother a song/music video on Youtube), but my sister is playing the piano, so it's hard to listen. :P

NG, I'm not entirely sure how good Keira Knightly is, 'cause I've only seen her in 2 and a half movies. I liked what I saw, though, especially in Pride and Prejudice. :)

Thanks, Malkah! :) I hope you enjoy watching Gods and Generals when you get around to it. :) My, those peaches sound marvelous! :D And goodness, those zipper earrings are funny! :P The zipper building is fantastic!

Greetings and huge hugs, Queen Susan!!! :D I talked to Betsie yesterday, and she said she was going to try to catchup real soon. :)
Just teasing you about Sherlock Holmes. ;) That's definitely a book I wouldn't blame someone for taking a long time to read. It's . . . .long. And the fact that it's all different stories would make me take longer to read it, certainly. I don't much like reading collections of stories-I would much rather get drawn into a long book. It's too much effort to plunge yourself into one story after another . . . if you know what I mean. :) I just don't enjoy it as much.

Broadway, I had a lovely cup of chai tea just yesterday. ;) How do you like to prepare yours? I like to put in some raw, unsweetened cocoa powder along with the tea bag, and then let it seep for a few minutes. Meanwhile, I "cream" up the cream with a little tin mechanism that has a "shelf" that goes up and down, to make it frothy. Then I stir in a bit of syrup, and put the cream on top. I put a little cinnamon and sugar on top, and I'm good to go! :D It tastes pretty different when you get it from a restaurant, but I like it both ways. :)

Older sisters . . . I'm afraid I'm probably rather annoying and sometimes unkind to my little sister.

I'm sure you did! (as you always do, I'm sure. ;) )

Really? Now why would you think that? :P ;)
I hope that book list didn't overwhelm you. But no, it didn't seem like that. ;) I do hope you don't end up hating them all. :P
I'm very glad you liked Gone for Soldiers! Do you have a favorite of those books?

*waves at and greets CS* We never talk much, do we? ;))

Cool, Most Pleasant Cor-Lawrence of Arabia. wisewoman just watched that too. :)

my Mod friend, er, Modly friend, er, friend who is a Mod?

Either of those will do, thank you. B-)
Ick. Gorey movies can't be good. And it seems like the majority of movies from the '80s weren't, either. ;) Yeah, I try to research a movie if it's PG-13, and I haven't heard much about it.
Yay, I'm so glad the English course is going well, and is comprehendable. You're not that much younger than college age, you know. ;)
I'm awfully glad you mentioned the PMs in your post, or we would have both gone on wondering if the other was ignoring us. :P ;))
Thank you, Vern!! But actually, *whispers*, I'll let you in on a little secret. :-$ Becoming the Mod of the Week is actually not an honor, but just a random assignation. On this latest round, we just went in order of oldest to newest mod. ;) :)

Fanny, thanks! I'm really happy I'm liking and starting to understand my job too. :) It's always pretty nervous starting a new job. Or so I am told-this is my first experience, personally. ;)
Ha ha, yes! Mean Cow! :))
Oh, I think no matter what kind of clothes you were wearing you'd impress my parents if you were coming to wash windows. ;)
By the way, the night before last, I dreamt that you and your family were going on vacation for two weeks around Christmas, to California, I think, and you invited me to go along! :D ;))
Aha! Well, I'm glad your sister likes climbing trees, then. ;)

Edmund P, I'm glad you had a wonderful time at the concert! :D Nice pics! Speaking of concerts and CCM, Casting Crowns is going to be having two concerts in Wisconsin in October. One of them is 3 hours away, but one is a little over 2 . . . hmm, I wonder if my family could possibly go . . . ? *looks up a bunch of other bands' touring schedules . . . * Humph, no one ever comes to Wisconsin! :P

I'd say I haven't felt older since I turned fifteen, except I'm pretty sure I feel older than fifteen now. :-??

Heh heh! Yeah, I'd assume so. ;)

Greetings, fauntastic! It's nice to meet you. Most people in the square call me DTR or Dennie. :)
gazer, it sounds like you had an excellent time! Were any of the books you spent "lots" of money on good? ;)

Alright, I'm off for now! See you all later!

Hello all! *waves*

My day was alright- I had a bad headache all afternoon, but thankfully after supper it went away. *is very happy*

Edmund P: Ah, I'm sorry your back hasn't gotten any better! :(

The concert sounds like it was a great thing to go to- thank you for the write up! :D

Narnia Girl: Hmm, not much. The weekend went alright- we had a bit of an adventure last evening when my brother accidentally cut himself with a chisel, so Mom, Dad and his friend (who is helping him with their project, carving some part of a rifle stock, so they can attach an airsoft gun too it, or something like that), took him to the hospital and he's all fine now except he can't use his left hand for a few days. What about you?

WinterStar: Aw, hehe! Yep, 950 pounds is rather heavy indeed. My sister is learning how to trim our horses' feet (we don't shoe them), so she's going to start on our lightest horse (he's still somewhat of a baby), because he's really polite about us doing stuff with his feet, and he won't be so hard to learn on, with the tools and stuff. My sister is very brave. ;) But...I'm sure she can do it. :D

Welcome to the Town Square, Fauntastic! :)

Dennie: Aww, thanks! :D

I'm just beginning to type up the PM that I'll send you, gathering facts and all. :) I hope the finished product will make sense and stuff. :)

I would agree- it can be nervous starting new jobs, although I haven't had a super regular job before (like yours. Mine have only been baby sitting/lawn cutting, etc), but I know I've gotten nervous starting even those.

Hehehe! =)) I forgot to mention these 'wonder cloths', (and I added an 'e' on the end in the original post... ;)) ) are supposed to be super. They don't leave any streaks on the windows...my aunt sold them to Mom one time when she was here, and Mom had me running around the house cleaning mirrors, windows, even doors and walls to prove how good they were. It was fun. So the only reason we washed windows for our friend was because of these cloths... ;))

That sounds like a fun dream! I hope my family wasn't too crazy in it. :D ;)

Well- I should be off. Cheers all!

Hello all! *Waves*

It's a... Cootie! ;))

Oh! Duh! *Smacks self on head* How did I miss that? I played with cooties when I was little, mind you they were the old skinny kind... :D

@ Winter. Wow, sounds like a.... painful week. Glad you're doing well, though. :) The weekend is definitely something I eagerly look forward to now.

Yeah, and this week isn't promising to be any better--I fell down the stairs after one of my classes today. *Sigh* Not to mention, everyone was laughin really hard when Ruby was reading something I wrote out loud. It ws meant to be only a little funny, the people were supposed to a chuckle a little, you know? Instead they were red in the face from laughing. :( They all said it was good afterwords, though. :) I think I'll stop babbling, now...

Umm...I guess this one might be my favorite, Winter: :p I always thought it was such a funny, cute smiley. ;)) What about you?

I don't really know. I kinda like this one, though: X( I think he's cute. I don't use him excessively, though, 'cause people would probably think I was angry. ;))

Oh dear! I'm dreadfully sorry for being so confusing. :P ;)) Anyway, I think we understand each other now. ;) By the way, your avatar is awesome!! Dare I ask what it's from? ;)

Oh, it's not your fault. I just misread it. Yes, I think we do. :) Um, do you really want to know or are you joking? It's from the BBC Merlin.

Yup. That's cool! At least he's polite, unlike some horses I could think of. The horse that I ride likes to put her foot down right when you're in the middle of picking her hoof. It's most frustrating, 'cause being a heavy horse, she can usually push my hand down is she really wants to. Your sister is indeed most brave. :) Can I ask how many horses you have?

See y'all!

Hello all! It feels I've been away for a long time-- too long. When in fact, I was here 3 days ago! :p But anyway. I guess missing it makes me want to post more... or something. 😉

*shakes head* [-( Normal people ;) Keanese is actually only a written language. You randomly slam on your keyboard and then translate for those unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity.

*is suddenly reminded of her former classmate who asked her brother for all kinds of advice* Yeah, but don't all siblings do that? (I mean, tell their siblings they a) look great or b) don't match.) I always tell my sisters they look lovely unless something really doesn't go. :) Only four months? Aw, I love babies...They're so cute and they don't call you names or talk back or anything. :) (Of course there is the whole crying thing, but they can't help it, now can they?)

Yeah, I always go to my brothers for advice. :D *laugh* The older ones are wiser then me!! 😉
And yeah, that tends to happen. "You look great!" Mm. Right.
And yep, babies are cute. ;)) "Terribly." :p

It was kind of funny at the part when the Prodigal Son told his story, then asked, "Do you have any food?" and the Interviewer says, "Eh.. *searces around in his pockets* here have a Fig Newton *tosses it towards the Prodigal Son*."

;)) *laugh* Yeah. I didn't even know what "Fig Newton's" were until a few weeks ago or something. *Is reminded of a Brian Reagan video.*

;)) Hehe. Yeah. :p

AWWWWW! That is so sad that you didn't go to their concert in Omaha! o.O YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE! Without your brothers! :P Aw! Well make sure you go next time they give a concert anywhere near you!
Hehe... not yet, but I will hopefully write music for it soon-ish... along with Times and a couple others.

I know, it would've been fun. :( But I can't drive. *sniff, sniff* At least, not legally. (;)) ) Hehe. Yeah. :p Yeah, I hope I can make it to one sometime!!!
-Sounds great! (About writing the music) ;) No pressure of course. :p

Yeah, I can't get it here, I listen over the internet. The closest station is like 60 mi away and apparently that's too far...

Yeah, I just asked my brother yesterday or something, and he said he listens on the internet too. *wonders what town it's in*

Queen Susan: Ditto! It's hard to put them down at times, isn't it? :)

Yep! *needs to start the 2nd volume* Though right now I just started Northanger Abbey so... We'll see. ;))

And then for some random reason, Mike starts doing a Gollum impersonation! It was pretty funny =)) .

Hehe. ;)) All these impersonations I keep hearing about! Can't wait to see one live. 😉

Ruby; glad the Irish Dance went well! 😀 And it sounds fun! We went to some kind of dance thing where they had some Irish-type dancing. A friend from church was part of it. That was 3 years ago... Hm.

you know what, those are 3 of the 4 songs off of their album that they didn't play when they came to my town.

Seriously?!?!? Those are some of their biggest ones! ;)) I mean, not really. :p But it seems like it since most fans (that I know of) that like them really like those songs. *raises eyebrow at her past sentences* Ok, sorry if that was confusing. :p

I'd say I haven't felt older since I turned fifteen, except I'm pretty sure I feel older than fifteen now. :-??

Hm, yeah. ;)) I don't know. My brother was saying that he still feels like 14. He's 17. 😉 I don't know how old I feel. :p

*waves to fauntastic* :)

Did anyone watch the football game that was on yesterday? My dad kept cheering and wooting when Virginia Tech scored a touchdown

My brother's best friend was so bummed out that the Huskers lost. ;)) I didn't care either way. But I felt a teensy bit sorry for the NE people. (I know many of them) I don't care--but some of them were sad about it. :p I'm not a football fan though, that could be part of it.

God has shown em over and over that Baptism is required for Salvation, along with, believing, rpeenting and remaining stead fast.

I believe that (apart from infant baptism for babies of believing parents), when you believe later in life, baptism is something you do because you believe.
Acts 18:8
"Then Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household. And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized."
When they heard, they believed and were baptized. If you become saved and say "I'm not going to be baptized, it's not required" then it's pretty silly. :p I mean, you become baptized because you were saved. Because you were "told to."
Are you saying that if you're on your deathbed and you are converted, you have to quick be baptized before you die or you're not saved? I'm sorry, but I sure don't believe that. ("Quick! Pour water on my head or I won't go to heaven!")
Mark 16:16
"He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned."
This verse doesn't say "He who is not baptized will be condemned." It says "he who does not believe will be condemned."
Baptism is a step you take after you are converted, but definitely not something that saves you!!!

Greetings and huge hugs, Queen Susan!!! :D I talked to Betsie yesterday, and she said she was going to try to catchup real soon. :)

Yup, it's raining here, and it's badly needed. :)

We did get to shoot off some long delayed fireworks though. There is something about blowing stuff up. It was very satisfying.

That reminds me of a friend of mine. He does fireworks professionally, and says the same thing.

Broadway, I had a lovely cup of chai tea just yesterday...

Mmmm...I was introduced to some yummy vanilla chai tea last January at the Missouri Mod Moot. Now that the weather's cooling off again, I'm looking forward to enjoying it more frequently.

gazer, it sounds like you had an excellent time! Were any of the books you spent "lots" of money on good?

I was actually very well behaved, and only purchased one book (containing the first 3 Books of Ember). It was my brother and his family who spent the big bucks, on a variety of things.

Christmas songs? Sounds loverly! It's not too long until the snow flies, after all! ;) I have lots of favorites, including "O Holy Night," "Silent Night" (very nice a capella in the original German), "O Come All Ye Faithful," and others I'll feel bad about leaving out. A comparatively recent addition to my favorites is "Mary Did You Know?" and I like the rendition of "The Little Drummer Boy" that appears on Celtic Woman's A Christmas Celebration collection.

You guys can call me Faun, or Syd. Whichever you can remember, hehe.

I've just finished an Essay on Puritans that is due tomorrow, so I'm feeling pretty good! I had to make the margins a bit bigger so it would be long enough, hopefully my teacher won't mind...

And today was just awful (weather-wise)! It's supposed to be the last day of summer, but it was 105 here (that's in Fahrenheit xD) and I doubt it will be getting colder any time soon. Ahh, I'm so sick of the hot, and ready for a breeze!

Hey Stargazer, feel free to move in with me to avoid that crazy thing called Daylight Savings Time! :D
