Mortereve all! *waves* How has everyone been today? I've been pretty good, we went out to eat at Chinese restaurant for supper tonight, to celebrate my sister's birthday. (Although, her birthday was two days ago. Oh well, I doubt she minded). The food was SO good! My favourite was the vegetarian Chow Mein, or is it Mein Chow? (I purposely looked at the menu so I'd remember, and now I forget. >_>) Our friends run the restaurant, so that was a cool aspect- having the owner/main waiter chap know us and joke around with Dad and stuff.
Bella: Yes! Window washing was quite fun, especially since our friend's windows were this really cool design that made it easier for us. It's hard to explain, (I could try, but I think it might give you a bad impression of the windows... ) but, firstly, they were the kind of windows that slide up and down, and, when they're 'down', they could tip inwards, so the outdoor side was easier to wash. We liked it.
Baby sitting was good too- the boy was really polite and well behaved this time around, which makes it all so much nicer, don't you think?
I'm glad to hear that your computer is all fixed, that's great!
WinterStar: Your coffee/teapot story is funny!
Do you really? Wow. I thought 16-17 year olds were always mature and responsible.
*laughs* No. We have our moments, except they are few and far between and we generally try to hide them with some extra mature moments afterwords, so no one will notice.
MeadowMaid: Ah, thank you! While I've never read the books, the movie production blog looks quite neat, as well as the movie too. Perhaps someday I'll get around to the books.
*cheers Narnia Girl on* Think of the glorious new GVB CD! (Not to mention, all the practical information you can get from reading the dictionary! Spellings, meanings, ah, the word of trivial knowledge!)
*waves to JoJo*
Queen Susan: Hail fellow Sherlock Holmes reader! How coincidental that you're reading them as well- so am I! The versions you're reading look quite nice! Which is your favourite of his cases so far? (Or several favourites, if you remember them and stuff!)
Well- I probably should be off. Getting tired and all. Cheers!

And now, I must be on. Carry off!

Hello all! *Waves*
I typed out a "lengthy" (;))) paragraph concerning this earlier in the post, so... Look for the three arrows >>> indenting the paragraph up above, and you should find the answer fairly easily.
Ok. *Reads paragraph* Neat! I hope it goes well!
*laughs* No. We have our moments, except they are few and far between and we generally try to hide them with some extra mature moments afterwords, so no one will notice.
Ah! So, that's how you pull it off! *Makes a note of that for the future* I need to remember that so I can appear very mature when I'm 16.
See y'all!

Yeah, you are lucky. I'm 4 of 5. And I have all sisters. Lucky I am not.
Ah yes. I have heard many woes from various acquaintances who bewail the fact of no older brothers. I am quite blessed to have 3, and 4 younger. (Odd-I haven't heard tons of people bewail the fact of no younger brothers... ) I guess they don't know what they're missing out on.
Anyways. I was blessed to have an older sister as well. But she's out now. Married, with a sweet little daughter. 😀
Life is good.
I do sorrow for and with you though. I really cannot imagine life without my sweet and... cool ( ) brothers.
Hail fellow Sherlock Holmes reader! How coincidental that you're reading them as well- so am I! The versions you're reading look quite nice! Which is your favourite of his cases so far? (Or several favourites, if you remember them and stuff!)
Hm... Hard question. 😉 I can't remember the titles of all of them. Or many of them actually. I'm fairly sure I enjoyed "The Adventure of the Speckled Band" quite a bit... But I read that one a few months ago.

Little kids do the darndest things, don't they? The little boy I babysit(he's about one) and I had just come back from the playground. I was getting him a cup for some water, but he decided I was taking too long. He pulled the tap-thingie on the water jug and he was instantly drenched. He' such a goof!
I once knew a song about washing the windows....
Washing the windows! Washing the windows!
Up and down! Up and down!
Wahing the windows! Washing the windows!
'Til they don't make a sound! 'Til they don't make a sound!
How many times must we spray?
How many towels must we throw away?
How long will it take to get it right?
Maybe all day....maybe all night!
Washing the windows.......
And no, I did not make it up.
I have an older sister, a younger sister, and older brother, and a younger brother. Smack dab in the middle am I.

*patters into the Square, taking a seat by the fountain* Hello all! I tried to do a catchup post today, but this lovely computer made me lose it all. *whispers to Nick... "don't say a word"*
Djaq, if anyone were like me they'd be flat out weird. Thanks! Were you referring to my old coffee cup avatar, or my new Lizzy Bennet one?
*waves to F2* Thank you! I like it too. I'm doing fine, kind of frustrated with this computer, though.. How about you?

Ben!! It's been forever since you've been in the Square, little buddy! I hope you are doing well! Annndd welcome back!

You should trust me, mother.
Nick, thanks for not being mad about the PM I've yet to send to you. I'll try to get to it sooooon...
*waves to Edmund P* Have fun at that concert!
Winty (can I call you Winty?), I'm doing swell! How are you? You can call me Pebbles, Pebs, pels or whatever you so wish.
Kat, I know I was just thinking that when I saw you on Aslanscountry. I hope you are doing well.

Can't believe I missed this:
@ Broadway_Freak. Hello!!! It's been a very long time since I've seen you around here! How have you been?
I know we had a nickname for you, but I can't think of it right off hand....
Yes, its been awhile. I had been captured by these two siamese twins, and then I became a super hero, with an alter ego, and then all the Russians cheered and declared me the winner---but I said no. But all in all I've been pretty good.
Ahh... The Nickname. You may say it if you please.
And yet another day ends! I have to go to bed soon......
Oooh, but first I have a confession to make. I was going to be all good and read Sense and Sensability last night, but then I noticed LB in my room.....and I gave into tempation and only read the first chapter of S&S before indulging in Narnia.

I'm SO tired. I was making myself some tea and was waiting for the teapot to boil, I started talking to it. It then turned to my mother and said, "You know it's bad when you start talking to a coffeepot." Her reply was, "What's worse is when it's not a coffeepot."
Ouch. Sounds like you needed some coffee from the coffee pot.
Anyway, I'm only on page 7 of the dictionary. It takes me almost five minutes to read just one page! Ahhh! Needless to say, it is not going well.
I have students who read the dictionary. For fun. Honestly, I can't find the fascination. Is there a particularly good reason why your mom wants you to read it?
You should trust me, mother.
Now why doesn't my family ever listen to me? I've told them a hundered times how great this place is and they never visit. Correction, my sister joined the old forum, posted for about 2 weeks and decided it was too addicting and never came back. Goofy girl.
*Waves back to Nutty and AistB*
Good grief you people post long posts! I can't keep up with half of it and only skim the other half to catch what I can.
Fuzzy peaches and cozy slippers, everyone! I'm off for the evening to procrastinate some more on my school work.

Bella, that's great that you got your computers fixed yesterday! I'm glad they're working better.
Well, that's neat that you're playing tennis, Bella. I've never played tennis before.
Oh, that's good! I love playing the piano.
Yes, I do have a deal with my mom about the dictionary. But once I started reading the dictionary, it took me like five minutes to read one page... At least I only have to read half of the dictionary for the GVB CD.
Jojo! You're back! *tackles Jojo in a hug* I've missed you!
Yeah, I've been busy with schoolwork too, PrinceCor.
Ooh! A Chinese restaurant. Sounds good, FF!
Thank you, FF! Right. *reminds herself that she is reading the dictionary for a GVB CD* But I'm only on page 9...I feel so slow.
Wow! I don't think it's very fun reading the dictionary, Earel Alquawen. It's super boring! Yes, there is a reason - my mom told me she will buy me a Gaither Vocal Band CD if I read half of the dictionary. (I'm nuts about the Gaither Vocal Band.)
Yes! Ketchup's done!
Yesterday night was Wednesday Teen Church at our church. It was so much fun, we played a funny game and then separated into groups for prayer time. The lesson was very good as well, it was about how teens need to be close to their parents and how important it is to spend family time together.

Sorry for disappearing like that for several pages!! It looks like the square is slowing down a little now that we're into the middle of the week!
to everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful day!
You too? Honestly- I had nightmares for weeks about rumour weeds popping up out of nowhere- especially after dark. To this day I haven't seen it again, although it's been 8/9 years since.
I don't understand how that episode is a kid's movie... *laughing*
Awesome! I just discovered them recently, but I'm really enjoying them!
Glad you like them!!
No problem! It's enjoyable to read.
*is glad*
BENJAMIN!!!!!!!! So good to see you on the square again!!! How have you been doing?
Thanks, Ruby! Well, it's a very pretty avatar, I like it a lot.
Anytime, Narnia Girl!!! Your avatar is quite pretty too.
*rubs eyes blearily* Speaking of writing, I started a blogpost last night with the strictest intentions of logging off by ten, whether it was finished or not. Well, one thing led to another and I was swept along 'till, finally satisfied enough to post it, I glanced at the clock and saw that it was ten past twelve. So much for good intentions... I blame Tenth Avenue North, because at the almost-finished stage (perhaps around ten-thirty) I realized I could tie it to Love Is Here and (that being too good to pass up) had to rework the whole silly thing.
It was a wonderful post and I enjoyed reading it!!! *thinks Moon should stay up late more often to write posts like that*
No, no, Aiden is fine! In fact, you can call me anything you like, and I really wouldn't mind. And what about you? Do you prefer Ruby or Dani? (Isn't Dani your real name? So I imagine you'd like that better.)

*phew* I don't really care--Ruby or Dani is fine. Glad to hear all goes well!

Mortereve all!
Yay, I have officially gotten used to the new forum. The old one no longer feels like home, but rather a strange place. I am used to everything about this new forum and has become NarniaWeb in my mind!
*is getting a late start on starting to write this*
Yesterday we had some wonderful tech help for our computers, and they're working fabulously now.
And you didn't ask me first? I'm offended! Anyway, I'm glad they're working!
My computer kept ruining itself, and we found out it had a really bad virus
That stinks. You really need AVG Anti-virus. By the way, there's a completely free version, but the website will say all over the place that you should get the version you have to pay for. You really don't need that, the free one works just fine. Here is where you can actually download the free version. Lady Liln will attest to the fact that AVG is amazing.
Anyhoo, I got IE8, which is extremely better than IE7. So fresher, faster, nicer colours, etc.
Or you could get Firefox which is 10 times better. ( )
Anyway, I'm glad you have WiFi on the laptop now. Did you get a card put it?
What's wrong with Rosetta Stone? Well, granted, it is rather monotonus and not step-by-step. Rather disorganized.
Personally, I don't see how anyone can learn anything on it. I'm sure it works for some people just fine, don't get me wrong, but it seems so random and disorganized, like you said.
Eh, is that so? Well, then, I can't be fooling anyone who knows quite alot about spanish. Aww..
Ahh, I see. I think I'll like Spanish in the way I can use it frequently, but I think I'd prefer French over it.
For the translator- I forgot which one I used for that, I use different ones for nearly all the translations because I just google "Spanish Translators" and use what comes up.
Did it? I'll be using that one, then. When the need for one is necessary...
Yes, I said something somewhere along those lines or accurately that, I can't remember exactly what.
True, I think I'll learn to read and understand it faster than speak it. It'll probably be easy to learn some parts of Spanish since Swahili and Spanish have similar words ("mesa" in Spanish is similar to "meza" in Swahili, and they both mean the same.) But, Gujrati/Hindi might trip me up some because "a" is the masculine term in Hindi where as, "a" is the feminine term in Spanish, so.
I guess not, but not too many people around here know much Spanish, so you should be all set.
I agree that French sounds very pretty, but it's harder to learn—especially pronunciation—and you're right, you'll be able to use Spanish a lot more.
Oh, I see.
Well, just because a translator translated one thing correctly doesn't mean it'll do everything right. If you don't mind a suggestion, here is an excellent translator. But, like I've said before, a computer is never perfect and will often make mistakes since the meaning of a word or phrase is often determined by its context and a computer can't determine that. [/ramble]
Yes, Spanish is much easier to read and write than speak and understood spoken. Not that it's hard to speak it or understand it spoken, it just takes more time to think about it in your head, and when you're having a conversation, you don't have much time to figure out what someone said and determine a response.
Ah, I see. Well there are often similarities between languages (cognates), and they're always fun to find. Oh, "a" is masculine in those other languages? Hmm, that's interesting.
That's so encouraging to know, even *if* it's something little. I can make one sentence from memory ... Las niñas está caminando. The grammer in that was probably messed up, though.
Hah! And, thank-you. The smilies are a really cute addition to NWeb, as many others have said.
Wow, really? You don't seem that far from fluent, if you can transalate several sentences as accurately as you did! Ah, I understand what you mean. It's the same for Gujrati and Swahili with me, except I don't understand half of what I'm writing/reading.
Ah, true. It's interesting to see how other language translators translate something into English, and one knows that's not what it meant.
I'm sure that I'll make more errors than what is...forgivable.
It's not something little at all, but rather it's something fundamental to being able to speak Spanish! One little problem with the grammar: it should be "están" since the subject is plural. Otherwise, it's great! I'm surprised you're learning present progressive verb forms already, but that just goes along with the disorganized style that Rosetta has.
Yes, they are.
There's a big gap between being fluent and being able to translate a few sentences.
Aw, come on, we all make mistakes.
Jojo!! Yay, I'm glad you finally got your account working! It's great to have you back in the Square!
;)) Hey, maybe I find "Catchup" to be a happy occasion!! ... Or maybe I was trying to make the best of it. *laugh* I wrote *sings* on purpose though.
Lol, I enjoy catchup, but a lot of people *sigh* before they start, so it looked funny when I saw *sings* at the beginning.
Oh, I know. I was just saying it's the last "official" year.
Ah yes, well that's true.
Um... Mac event? 09/09/09? They're related? I'm lost?
There was an Apple/Mac event on 09/09/09. And, since I really don't like Apple-related stuff, it kinda spoiled the specialness of the day. (Not that the day had any specialness to begin with. )
I know, and I'm glad you clarified it. I was just tired and frustrated, which was no excuse for being crabby. So, I should say sorry, too.
Well now I'm sure we both feel better after that.
