Hello all! *Waves*
*Sigh* I'm SO tired. I was making myself some tea and was waiting for the teapot to boil, I started talking to it. It then turned to my mother and said, "You know it's bad when you start talking to a coffeepot." Her reply was, "What's worse is when it's not a coffeepot." I was kinda confused an then I looked at the teapot. and the other shoe dropped.
Oh dear no! We were not saying that at all! (Although, we do have our immature moments, of course, but, eh, yes.)
Do you really? Wow. I thought 16-17 year olds were always mature and responsible.
Winty! Well, that wasn’t the whole explanation of my absence, I had been keeping away from the Square because the vast amount of catchup before me had me scared, so.
Thanks! Ah, I have no idea what I fully said either – I used a translator. Otherwise, I don’t know much of it really.
That’s awesome that you’re doing French! I had wanted to do French, but we decided we all should learn Spanish now, so I think we’ll be learning French after we’re better at Spanish. What program are you using to learn French? We’re using Rosetta stone for Spanish, which is pretty good, and helpful.
What’ve you been up to lately?
Oh, I've done that before, but I discovered it's best to jump in and get it over with before people start asking where you are and you have to reply to that, too.
lol. Out of curiousity where did you find a translator? Is it like a software that you have? Or online? Or do you keep a translator tied up in your broom closet?
French is ok. It takes a while and I don't know a lot. I'm using the fsi language course. ( http://www.fsi-language-courses.com/French.aspx ) It's really more of a learn-it-yourself kinda thing but it's supposed to be the best. *shrugs*
I've not been up to too much lately, mostly school and stuff. I'm starting riding lessons, again, tomorrow which should be fun! I'm excited.
That would make a lot of sense I'm always singing TAN songs around my friends and eventually that got them to listen to TAN for themselves (so they could hear it not in a badly-sung rendition )
Ruby sings it a LOT. The other day I listened to some of their songs, but I didn't like it much. It wasn't horrible, but it didn't, oh, I don't know, click isn't really the right word. It just wasn't something I really wanted to listen to. I'm sure you're not that bad! From what I've been told, you're actually very good!
@ WinterStar - You asked if I watched regluarly before DW went to a 4 a.m. showing. Then answer is yes. But I'm still not getting up at 4 in the morning to watch a tv show.
Of course not, that would be ridiculous. This is when YouTube comes in handy.
See y'all!

Hullo, all.
I have a catchup *gasp* from the old town square. But I've been busy.
Anyway, here it goes!
*waves to DTR* How have you been?
Hello, ForeverFan! My signature is a picture of the actor who plays Fish in the student production of The Shadow of the Bear (here's the blog).
I really like Regina Doman's books.
Hey, Ruby! I've been doing ok, what about you?
I couldn't quite figure how to quote with a name so:
Djaq said: MeadowMaid!!! It's been too long!
I know! I've missed you over in the photography thread! How are you doing?
Narnianut95 said Thanks! It did go well... I'm getting my braces off at the next appointment! Big%20smile
Yayh!!
Hullo, greenleaf23! I've been doing fine, thanks! How about you?
*waves back to Betsie*
Flambeau, I couldn't find your post, but I knew you said hullo. How have you been? Did I hear correctly that you birthday was recently? Happy belated birthday!!
*waves to Lady_Liln and Aslanisthebest *
I prolly missed some people, so *waves to all peoples, hither and yon.*
I probably won't be on here much, but I least I'm caught up to the current Ditto Town!

Me too, SPELC! Though my favorite kind of candy would probably be Reese's peanut butter cups.
JealousOfTheMoon, I love your avie and sig!
Broadway_Freak! Welcome back to NarniaWeb! It's great to have you in the Town Square.
I must admit that I probably prefer braces to retainers, NN95. But once, I almost lost my retainer at a restaurant. That was scary...
NN95: I was practicing raising just one eyebrow yesterday...and I can sorta do it. I can raise my left eyebrow just a little bit higher than the right. Lol! My dad saw me doing it, and he told me I was being really weird.
You too, Benjamin! What have you been doing lately?
Sane? That's good to hear, Broadway_Freak. Well, I'm a big fan of the Gaither Vocal Band, so I don't mind doing it. Though I'm only on page 7.
*waves to ceppault* Hello! How are you doing?
Really? I didn't know you could chew sugarless gum, EP! That's good.
Well, there's lots of series that I've never heard of too, EP. School's been going pretty well, thanks! I'm still having a bit of trouble in math, but I'm getting along. What about you?
EP, that's great about seeing TAN soon! Have fun.
Lol. I still have a couple years to grow some more, FF. Thanks! Though I'm only on page 7 of the dictionary. *sighs* I'm beginning to think it's hopeless.
Yeah, Bella. So what have you been doing lately?
Lol! Coffeepots and teapots are close enough, aren't they, Winter?
Hi MeadowMaid! Great to see you in the Square again!
My ketchup is done. Anyway, I'm only on page 7 of the dictionary. It takes me almost five minutes to read just one page! Ahhh! Needless to say, it is not going well.
Other than that, I've been...doing schoolwork, cleaning my room, practicing the piano, reading, writing, listening to music...all that stuff. We're going to the library today, and this evening I will probably be in my room reading library books.

Mortereve all!
Narnia Girl, wow, good luck reading half of the dictionary!
Its alright. I think we have gotten used to it. Maybe its just that I detest Rosetta Stone...
Oh, you have Rosetta Stone? Well, no wonder you don't like Spanish—I wouldn't either if I had that.
but people kept pointing out, which was getting kinda annoying.
Well then, I suppose I should apologize for pointing it out in the first place. I didn't mean to make you feel bad—I wouldn't have pointed it out except you were explaining how to to spell it to someone and I didn't want it to be confusing for them. Anyway, sorry.
*Gets up holding head* Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed. *Note to self: Don't bang head against tree-it hurts*
Yeah, well I'm glad I pointed it out. Good note to self, there. Very logical, too.
So am I. Guess what? I attempted to upload the new firefox today. Good news: My computer didn't implode. Bad news: It didn't do much else, either.
So, it didn't work at all? That stinks. Lazarus may still work with the old version though.
I don't know. That's why I asked you.
Oh, I see. Well, I'm not rightly sure.
And you guessed right. Ah, thanks for that tip for the grammar! I don’t understand half of it now, but I’m sure I’ll appreciate it later.
Okay, that translated at “I like that you are learning to speak Spanish. I expect that likes you” I’m sure you meant something different for the last sentence.
Gracias. El español es aparentemente fácil, y espero aprender a hablar lo suficientemente rápido.
Once again, a translator was used for that, so if anything’s off about the grammer or wording, ‘tisn’t my fault.
Yeah, well, it's not too hard to spot translated text. You can ignore the tip for now, until you get in a bit deeper.
I said, "I'm glad that you're learning to speak Spanish. I hope you like it." So, you're translator's not far off. (BTW, what translator are you using?)
Hey, you're translator did a pretty good job, there! So, you said, "Thank you. Spanish is apparently easy, and I hope to learn to speak it quickly enough." Obviously, you won't learn to speak fluently in just a few years, but with several years of hard work you should be great. Especially since you already know a couple languages, right?
One little thing: "hablar lo" should be "hablarlo". But, again, I won't hold it to you.
((“El” is the right them to use for masculine , as “La” is for feminine, right? If so, then I’ve learnt something & remembered it. ))
Aye, a translator I did use.
Wow, you understood it? I’m guessing you’re really fluent in Spanish, then. Can you speak it and hold a conversation?
Okay, good, nothing seriously bad like I was thinking. It’s good to know that I won’t be blamed for grammatical errors, but when I start learning it enough to quit using a translator, I will be guilty of any other errors.
Yes, that's right. Yay, you've learned something!
Aha, I knew it! Lol, the smilies are great.
Nooooo, I'm nowhere near fluent. Ehh, my Spanish would be pretty shaky if I held a verbal conversation. I can do a little better when I write since I have more time to think about it. So, yes, I suppose I can hold a conversation. But, like I said, I'm far from fluent. I was just lucky that I understood most of what you had written.
A translator is never great, and if you know well the language to which the text is being translated, you can usually figure out that it was translated.
No worries, we all make errors.
Oh well It will probably grow on me too I like the whole color dear better though and all the other short cuts to the HTML codes
I suppose there are different things that different people like. But, it's definitely growing on all of us.
Have fun on vacation!
lol. Out of curiousity where did you find a translator? Is it like a software that you have? Or online? Or do you keep a translator tied up in your broom closet?
I can't answer for Bella, but here, here, and here are three online translators. I personally think the last one is the best, but an electronic translator is never as good as a human one.
I couldn't quite figure how to quote with a name so:
If no one else has mentioned this, you do it like so:
what they said
Yayh!!
I'm actually not too excited, since I can't stand a retainer.
I must admit that I probably prefer braces to retainers, NN95. But once, I almost lost my retainer at a restaurant. That was scary...
I think most people would agree on that. Ooh, that is scary. My friends lose their retainers all the time.
NN95: I was practicing raising just one eyebrow yesterday...and I can sorta do it. I can raise my left eyebrow just a little bit higher than the right. Lol! My dad saw me doing it, and he told me I was being really weird.
Yay. See, with just a little practice, it's already starting to get easier! Yeah, I bet it did look weird.

Mortereve, all!
Yesterday we had some wonderful tech help for our computers, and they're working fabulously now. My computer kept ruining itself, and we found out it had a really bad virus, which was quickly fixed. Turns out that my laptop was ruining itself because it had really old versions of things, and new websites really messed it up....somehow. Anyhoo, I got IE8, which is extremely better than IE7. So fresher, faster, nicer colours, etc.
And, the best part is that I now have wireless connection in the laptop! Yay! It feels so awesome to be sitting anywhere and using the computer, instead of relying on the Ethernet wire.
Today the weather is positively lovely, it almost seems a crime to spend it inside! I think I shall go out and read once this is finished, if we have time.
*waves to MissA, Earel, Ben, and Cep* How are you this fine mortereve?
Haha! It is nicer to do that, yes. I dislike it when you say something in general, like, for example if you wrote on Facebook "I got wonderful birthday presents!" and then you comment on it, and write what you got. Then a bunch of ignorant people ask, "What did you get?!" That's totally irrelevent, though...
Eh, I just googled "Spanish transator" and chose whichever sounded best.
LOL! A translator tied up in my broom closet? Nay, I do not, for broom closets are far too suspicious. But, if you look in my pantry there should be a translator's room somewhere in a hidden door at the back. (That just brings up why so much food is missing! Who would've thunk it!)
Ah, that's interesting about French! Yeah, Rosetta Stone is also Learn-it-yourself. I don't think that fits me the best at the stage I am, because I really need alot of motivation to get myself doing something, so it is hard for me to just start and actually get somewhere. I prefer having a teacher, like I do in the other two languages that I'm learning, because then I have someone to be accountable to and someone who will push me. I know, I do seem rather not self-dependant in that aspect, but I *am* working on that! I think with regular school I'm more independant, when it comes to Spelling, Science and Social Studies notes, and sometimes English, but not so much in others.
Riding lessons? =0 That's SO awesome! We used to take some a while ago, but stopped for some time. I hope you have lots of fun. Are you assigned to one horse, or do you use different ones every lesson?
*waves back to Meadow* Yay, it's good to see you coming to the Square more frequently! Btw, you can call me AitB or Bella (not from Twilight).
NG, to that question I have to answer the uninventive answer of "school." I haven't been up to alot, really. We've been playing tennis for a while now, for P.E. We've scheduled it to be at 8:00 every Friday morning. That should help me with physical education and getting up early, which is quite nice. And, for reading, I've been reading Pollyana. It's an easy read, but by no means a boring book. It's really enjoyable, and positive.
Piano's coming along well, C.S. and I have begun practicing for our next exam. The goals this year are challenging, but very helpful in achieving more talent and feel for the piano.
Hah, so you have a deal with your mom that if you read the dictionary you get a GVB CD? Nice! I should do that for David Crowder * Band's new CD, but I don't think my mom'll buy it if I read the dictionary, since that's something I enjoy.
Cep, that's a most amusing biscuit site! *laughs* I very much agree with the "Luxury - anything with chocolate on it"
Oh, you have Rosetta Stone? Well, no wonder you don't like Spanish—I wouldn't either if I had that.
What's wrong with Rosetta Stone? Well, granted, it is rather monotonus and not step-by-step. Rather disorganized.
Yeah, well, it's not too hard to spot translated text. You can ignore the tip for now, until you get in a bit deeper.
I said, "I'm glad that you're learning to speak Spanish. I hope you like it." So, you're translator's not far off. (BTW, what translator are you using?)

One little thing: "hablar lo" should be "hablarlo". But, again, I won't hold it to you.
Eh, is that so? Well, then, I can't be fooling anyone who knows quite alot about spanish. Aww..
Ahh, I see. I think I'll like Spanish in the way I can use it frequently, but I think I'd prefer French over it.
For the translator- I forgot which one I used for that, I use different ones for nearly all the translations because I just google "Spanish Translators" and use what comes up.
Did it? I'll be using that one, then. When the need for one is necessary...
Yes, I said something somewhere along those lines or accurately that, I can't remember exactly what.
True, I think I'll learn to read and understand it faster than speak it. It'll probably be easy to learn some parts of Spanish since Swahili and Spanish have similar words ("mesa" in Spanish is similar to "meza" in Swahili, and they both mean the same.) But, Gujrati/Hindi might trip me up some because "a" is the masculine term in Hindi where as, "a" is the feminine term in Spanish, so.
No worries, we all make errors.
That's so encouraging to know, even *if* it's something little. I can make one sentence from memory ... Las niñas está caminando. The grammer in that was probably messed up, though.
Hah! And, thank-you. The smilies are a really cute addition to NWeb, as many others have said.
Wow, really? You don't seem that far from fluent, if you can transalate several sentences as accurately as you did! Ah, I understand what you mean. It's the same for Gujrati and Swahili with me, except I don't understand half of what I'm writing/reading.
Ah, true. It's interesting to see how other language translators translate something into English, and one knows that's not what it meant.
I'm sure that I'll make more errors than what is...forgivable.
Well, I'll be around for a few!

*Yet another Catchup Post.*
At the moment we are watching Wallace and Gromit: The Case of the Were Rabbit. It's not bad. Has some pretty funny moments.
Hm. I actually didn't care for it much... At least, I was wondering why they rated it G... *shrug* IMHO, I thought it deserved PG. But like I said, that's just my opinion.
*waves to Ben* Hey! It's been a while! Where've you been? *accidentally typed "Where've you ben?" ... Haha. * (Yeah, that's what I thought.)
In all seriousness, I do like to write, so I don't mind being associated with 'jot'...
Well, it'd be either "JotM" (abbreviation) or just "Jot," (an abbreviation for the abbreviation) So... Um... yeah. Never mind. Don't know where I was going with that.
Even though I'm not allowed to do school work in my pjs...
I wouldn't even want to. Sure, they're comfy, but it makes me feel slow and lazy. I feel WAY better if I'm up, dressed, and ready to go.
If we're sick we're allowed to stay in our PJ's for the day. But then we don't usually have to do school.
Do you mean *sighs*? Doesn't seem like catchup is something to sing about.
Hey, maybe I find "Catchup" to be a happy occasion!! ... Or maybe I was trying to make the best of it. *laugh* I wrote *sings* on purpose though.
I assure you, this is in no way your last year of math. Even if you never again take an official math class, you'll use it the rest of your life.
Oh, I know. I was just saying it's the last "official" year.
Too bad there had to be a Mac event to spoil the day.
Um... Mac event? 09/09/09? They're related? I'm lost?
What drama? Is it for church?
>>>It's for the "Providential History Festival" which is put on once a year. This is the... 3rd year (?) I believe that it's happened, though the 2nd year it was both in the spring and the fall. Anyway, it's a drama about Esther. 😀 Though it doesn't go through it all step by step, but there is an "interviewer" (...me) who asks the people (Haman, Zeresh, Vashti, and Mordecai) their views on what happened, and slowly... *dramatic pause* Everything unfolds!!
Um, yeah. Anyway, I'm really excited for it, and it seems to be going fairly well. We'll see though. Obviously we're all trying hard not to have it be... "corny." It's embarrassing for both the people in the play and the people watching it if it's badly done. So.
Here's a few of last year's entries, videoed. (Obviously, don't feel obligated to watch.) http://www.vimeo.com/provhistory
It makes me memorable and unique.
Certainly.
Ed P: Make sure you let us know how the TAN concert turns out!...And I'm sure you will.
LOL, the youngest are so lucky...
(If you're talking about children in families...) Although I am not the youngest, I feel I am the "luckiest" child in my family. I'm the only girl, with 7 brothers. Spoiled am I.
Oh, what drama is it? (Or is it a completely new original drama?)
I typed out a "lengthy" (;))) paragraph concerning this earlier in the post, so... Look for the three arrows >>> indenting the paragraph up above, and you should find the answer fairly easily.
*waves to Bella*
*waves to Queen Susan* How are things with you?
Well, and thank you! Got quite a bit done today. Finished Volume I of Sherlock Holmes. My brother has 2 thick volumes which he got from Barnes and Nobles, and I finally finished the first. I'm fairly sure they hold the complete works, but maybe I'm wrong... Here's a picture of the cover, and the 2nd cover is quite similar, but a different picture.

=)) I'm not that special!
I know. Just kidding! It was a joke, but you are special. 😉 Though... I don't think I was on the clouds all day because of it.
Lol, the funny thing is one of my friends went to another one of their concerts in Omaha only a few days after the one I went to (she DROVE there with her aunt! And she lives near me! she's crazy!) But anyway, she said Mike was all better, but now Jeff is sick!
Wow! That is crazy. Yeah, I suppose you already read this; but we go to church in Omaha, (;))) and even though we were that close, we didn't go! I would have gone gladly, but my brothers I guess weren't too enthused. They may have seen them at Lifelight though... I'm not sure. Anyway, I was playing "Hold My Heart" on the piano (a simple, modified version that I came up with... After all, I don't know if you've come up with sheet music.) and my older brother is like
"Did you know they're having a concert in Omaha tonight?"
Hm. "No." No one tells me these things. 😉
BTW, not to... bother you or anything, (;))) but I don't suppose you have sheet music to "Beloved"?
*listens to Air 1 - my new favorite radio station. *
Hey!! My brother listens to that radio station all the time at his work!! I'm not sure if he listens to it over the internet, or if he actually gets it... But since you live a ways away from us, he probably listens over the internet. Maybe you do too. Who knows. His work is about an hour drive from our house though...

O.K, it's time for a catch-up post. I've been putting this off for too long....
First off: Hello Jojo!!!!! I'm so glad you could finally get on!
O.K, catching-up:
@ Flam. You're quite welcomed, miss!
Very well. It would be hard to try and come up with a new nickname for you and besides, "The elusive sister of Djaq" just sounds so.... right.
@ LL. So far, the English lit class is going very well. No, I'm afraid Vern is not allowed to "help" me. That would be interesting though...
@ Lucy. Mostly school, helping around the house and posting in the RP that I'm in here on NW. Pretty normal stuff for me.
@ SPELC. Greetings and welcome to the Square!
@ Ruby. Hmm, what's wrong with a long post? *points to his posts*
"The Rumor Weed" gave you nightmares? I would have thought "The Big Fib" would have given more kids nightmares that "Rumor Weed". Oh well... Yes! The new ones are.... kind of lame, IMO. I like the line they gave Saul "Can't you just play your harp and I'll throw things at you?"
@ JelousOfTheMoon. No ransom? What kind of gig is that if you don't
charge a ransom for temporarily kidnapping babies?!?
@ PoppinFan. I'm enjoying the subjects that are on the computer, but I do agree that textbooks are MUCH better, especially for math. (a subject I'm not so great in..... )
Ehh, I guess I can overlook it this once.
@ Destined. Heh, heh... Uh, I'm the same, like with this post....
Welcome! I do not expect the tissues to be returned, mind you. Merely dispose of them in a humane fashion, please.
They are both really good, moving and well made films, though one viewing was more than enough for me. I try to be really carefully about the films I watch, though occasionally I have watched films that I've regretted later.....
Oh well.... *sigh* I guess all the great ideas have already been taken.
Thanks! I'm really enjoying it! One of the really neat things about it is that it's a english class from.... England!!!
@ Djaq. I've been doing well. Doing school and my usual stuff. How about you?
@ CSLN. Thank you! Right now, I prefer film scores (the orchestral music in a movie. aka movie soundtracks). I also really like Oldies and Classic Rock. (music from the 60's- the early 80's) There's also soem Classical music that I like. Doesn;t sound like a very varied selection, but there is a lot of different styles just in those three groups.
Yeah, Geometry is starting to get harder, unfortunately. I think it's the fact that it's near the end of the book... Thanks! I'll try.
"Major in" as in college? I'm not sure at this point.
@ Broadway_Freak. Hello!!! It's been a very long time since I've seen you around here! How have you been?
I know we had a nickname for you, but I can't think of it right off hand....
@ NarniaGirl. Nope, I disliked Temple of Doom. Everything about that movie seemed to not be as good as it should have been. (acting, comedy, fight scenes, story, ect) It's better than Indy 4, but that's not saying much. Oh well, for me at least I disliked.

Hello all! *Waves*
Lol! Coffeepots and teapots are close enough, aren't they, Winter?
Precisely! There's hardly any difference between them!
Well then, I suppose I should apologize for pointing it out in the first place. I didn't mean to make you feel bad—I wouldn't have pointed it out except you were explaining how to to spell it to someone and I didn't want it to be confusing for them. Anyway, sorry.
I know, and I'm glad you clarified it. I was just tired and frustrated, which was no excuse for being crabby. So, I should say sorry, too.
Jojo!!! You're back!!!! Er, why do you want someone to explain the square? You've been around here rather a lot, at least on the old NWeb the new's pretty much the same.... Oh, Never mind. You edited the post after I wrote that.
(If you're talking about children in families...) Although I am not the youngest, I feel I am the "luckiest" child in my family. I'm the only girl, with 7 brothers. Spoiled am I.
Yeah, you are lucky. I'm 4 of 5. And I have all sisters. Lucky I am not.

*Waves back* How are you fairing today, your highness?
See y'all!
