Good afternoon everyone. I hope that ya'll are doing well this fine mortereve.
*is watching the Vikings and the Browns*
Yes ma'am, I do. I will most likely be majoring in Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, or Wildlife Management, depending on what school I attend.
Congrats on your multiple posting.
Glad to hear it, and you're welcome Narnia Girl. I've been doing school mostly, as well as watching football, working on a truck, and counting down the days to deer season.😛
So how is everyone this blessed Sunday?
They did drugs and they're all dead.
I went hunting and I'm still Ted-Ted Nugent

Mortereve all!
Now, here is one of my super-quick ketchup posts. There isn't very much to ketchup on. The Square is moving slowly today.
Eusy, that's wonderful! Have a fantastic day!
Watching football? Sounds like fun, Kk. Are you homeschooled?
Umm...I dunno what else to say, except that I had a great time at church today. My friend and I were talking for a while. Anyway....mortereve all!

the only Cassandra I currently know is an emo-goth-ish chain-wearing type girl.
Nope, not me. I don't think I could pull off wearing a studded dog collar, safety pinning my clothes together, random chains, and duo-tone hair. I do like striped socks though.
I didn't actually get to meet Regina, either, as I was out of town.
What are you doing to the truck, KK?

Look out! Here they come! Those wonderful Rats, doing the Conga! Conga-Rats, eustacegirl! Spending time with your family sounds like fun. I think that's one of the things I miss the most about home; lazy Sunday afternoons where you wander around and mess in the rest of the families' business.
Yes ma'am, I do.
I suppose I should be used to having that "m-word" thrust on me. But seeing as I'm not your teacher, Earel or EA will do just as nicely.
Your choice of major(s) seems very interesting. Do you spend quite a bit of time outdoors? And do you have any animals of a pet-like nature?
And a great Hello everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't been on in a while, school is getting to be a little more challenging, and busy. But, I have made some little accomplishments during this time I'm starting to make these little "Lotr characters" that are all little crocheted characters from Lotr. ^.^ I just hope that I'll be able to make them all, and make them well.
Piano classes started, and we're to play some new and fun songs for the curriculum we do I'm pretty excited abotu playing them.
Any how, I shall start to catchup:
@ CSLN. I'm doing well. Stayed with my grandmother most of yesterday, which was fun as always. Today I have not been up to much. Need to do some chores in a few minutes.... *refrains from using <--- this guy*
Ah, sounds like fun. Lol, well, yeah.. chores can be.. rather "in the way" at times Sometimes if Aitb and I have a ton to do, we'll put in a CD to hear as we do the chores it (in an odd way) helps us do the chores faster.
I'll be sure to inform you after a week of working through it. Thank you! Thank you! I think it's a good plan myself. Besides, I can have a break from doing school work. It's a great invention online courses are IMO. Thanks! Wow, it feels odd being called a Senior.... do I look that old?
Why thankyou!
Wow, really? the IMO sounds interesting. We're trying to find the colleges that I am interested in, and Online courses come up every now and then. *sigh* It fun to be a high-schooler
Well... Naw, youre not that old!
Hello CSLN! Glad you're getting used to the new forum. It's taking me awhile, but I'm trying to stay positive.
Why, Hello Mrs. Jo! Your Hobbit House avvy keep reminding me of "The Hobbit".
Lol, everyone is getting so used to it now Yes, Positive's the word!
@ Ella If I knew where they were, I'd take some pictures and send them to you. But alas, they are [probably] buried with all the rest of our school work from those dear departed days gone forever.
Well, its allright. Lol, I love the term "buried". We have these boxes with little memories of our growing up. It has the first layer which consists of the baby books that our parents had for us. Then the stuffed animal and blankeys layer (which is delightfully soft). Then the top layers consisting of the special stuff we have now, but which are too old to be hanging places. So when you say "buried", the box comes into my head.
Thank you!
Your very welcome!
Heh, I just started Old Testament, and its very interesting.
Oh! And I'm in the middle of Great Expectations, which is going very well
Is that a combination between pretty and really? And that dance does sound like it would have been fun. I really like meeting people from different cultures and seeing how they do things, like bridal showers for example.
Why yes .
Thankyou It was very much fun.
Thats wonderful And Ditto! I always look forward to trying or seeing something new at different places Do you like to try different foods too? (Like out-of-the-ordinary)
Since we’re talking about “going off to college” I’d suggest going to a community college. They tend to be cheap, you can live at home, and I loved my community college (plus I wasn’t ready to leave home.) It’s a nice way to get a lot of the basic courses out of the way while they’re relatively cheaper and in smaller classroom settings. It’s also a good time to experiment and see what you’d like to do with the rest of your life.
Wow. Sounds interesting. Yes, some people we know are going to community college. Thankyou for telling us about it
Hey, CS I like your avatar! That's cool!
Why thankyou! Yours looks very pretty too.
*waves to Aiden* Heyllo
Ah. I see.
Well, thankyou for asking. How are you doing?
And now, I bid you all a good mortereve! I shall be around.

I'm in the mood for This Side right now (Kat should know why ).
Hello everyone!!!!!!!! Well, wadda know? I've been gone for over a week again! Sorry about that! For some reason, I haven't really felt like posting the last few days.
First things first, thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes! They are all so special, and I really appreciate them! I'll be responding to PM's later.
I had a really great birthday! We went on a trail ride in the afternoon, went out for dinner after that (pizza!), then came home and had cake and opened presents! It was a wonderful day!
Well, I suppose it's time to ketchup... *starts This Side and goes back to page 3*
...listening to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack.
Ooh, that's a good soundtrack!
Ah, it's the ol' life acting up again, eh? I get a touch of that every now and again, too.
Yup. That happens when you get old.
Yeah, well, it's graphic... to put it mildly.
*doesn't remember what he was telling flam to look up*
What movie were we talking about again?
You were telling me I should look up the Superman theme music. I did about a week ago, I think I liked it (I can't really remember it right now).
Ah, but earlier you were claiming that "possum" was incorrect. However, using the incorrect articles in front of a noun is more incorrect than using an informal spelling.
I did not say that 'possum' was incorrect. I merely said that I used the formal spelling of the word (opossum).
I did not say that my grammar was 100% correct either, I simply said that I went with what sounded right (a opossum). Therefore, your argument above is useless.
@ Flam. Ello! Nice to see you and your sister around the Square! I might have to come up with a new nickname for you since you keep appearing in the Square.
Ello to you as well! Hmm, you might. Although, do you suppose it might still apply since I keep disappearing from the Square?
[Warning: SAP ALERT. Pragmatic souls beware]
*skims*
Ok! *Makes mental note*: Remind Flam not to have Jojo (the Town Sqaure Coroner) examine her body after she is dead (No offense, Jojo!) We love you!
Whew! I'm so glad that you've taken care of that!
What? Me?
Funny thing is that flam actually did whack me in the face yesterday! It was accidental, and we laughed quite a bit afterward.
Yes, YOU!
Yes, I did. Sorry about that! I did apologize though!
NO...NO! Not the "angry face"!!
Why do I get the feeling that I'm not being taken seriously here?
You said that you were acting.
I don't recall that. I believe I said that I was 'whistling innocently', nothing about acting there.
Then why do you keep quoting me as "The Opossum"?
For the same reason you keep referring to me as 'The Worm' (in real life that is)!
That's just a little weird.
Says you!
*bows*
*bows back*
Ow! When you "pat" someone on the head...it's actually a smack!
Yes, I do have trouble with that don't I? I apologize.
I'm doing pretty good. A little sick. Well, I did one about two weeks ago. I might have another one up this Tuesday if all goes well. So how have you been lately?
Aww, sorry to hear that you are/were sick! I hope you're feeling better!
Stinkers, I can't check youtube right now, did you get the new video up?
Me? Well, not a whole lot. I've been doing a lot of reading lately, but other than that, not much.
@ Kat, that is so wonderful about the TAN concert!!!! I hope you can go again sometime!!! Awesome pictures, btw!
*continues skimming*
*sneezes*
Congrats on getting the job Dennie! I hope you enjoy it!
@ Dani/Ruby, wow! Sounds like you had a great time at the TAN concert as well! That's an awesome idea to have them sign your Bible!
@ malkah, welcome to the Square!! I really hope you enjoy it here! I'm flambeau, but I'm commonly called either flam or The Torch.
So, Flambeau, so glad you liked Gods and Generals! Djaq told me you finished it, and watched the movie the other night. The order of the series is, Gods and Generals, The Killer Angels, and The Last Full Measure.
You are correct! I enjoyed it very much! I finished reading The Killer Angels last night and I started Gone For Soldiers today (my brother has Last Full Measure right now, or I'd be reading that one).
Yup, we watched Gods and Generals the other night.
Djaq got me Gods and Generals and Gettysburg on DVD for my birthday! (we owned Gods and Generals on VHS, but not DVD) We watched half of Gettysburg on Friday night, we may finish it tonight.
Oh, and my brother has ordered me Gods and Generals, The Killer Angels, and The Last Full Measure for my birthday (they're not here yet, but they should be here soon).
Can you tell I'm in a bit of a Civil War mood right now? Lol!
First of all, I have to wish a very very happy birthday to FLAMBEAU! I hope your day is wonderful!!! Here's a tasty looking cupcake for you...
Awww, thank you so much! Yum! That cupcake looks delicious! Where's that drool bucket when you need it?
Also, thank you for the part you played in making my birthday special! I'm listening to it right now!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLAMBEAU!!! May it be absolutely wonderful!!
Thank you! It was very wonderful!
Oh, yes! And I need to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLAMBEAU!!!! I hope you have a great one.
Thank you!
Oh, is today Flambeau's birthday??? Happy Birthday!!!
Thank you! That's a big 'Happy Birthday'!
And, thanks FF for reminding me. Happy Birthday Flambeau!!
Thank you!
I think my sister (JealousOfTheMoon) is finally going to start posting on NW!!!
That's cool! May I ask where her user-name came from (just curious)?
I do believe that I'm all caught up now! Hooray!!
*waves to anyone not mentioned above* Sorry for not mentioning y'all, but I had a lot of pages to go through and so I skimmed a lot.

Hello all! *Waves*
Yeah. I also took art and horsemanship.
SyFy still plays Doctor Who at like 4a.m. on Friday morning. It isn't every Friday, but it is still on the channel.
Horsemanship...that's like riding and stuff, right? (Dumb question, I know, but it could be something completely different!)
Oh...I didn't know that. I imagine it makes it difficult to watch it, though, if it's at four in the morning.
And thank you to everyone who explained about "mortereve"!
*waves back to WinterStar*
Even me, who butchered it?
*Waves again* Hey look, a flip-flop wave! BTW, I like your sig! What's the quote from? I know I've heard the song, but I don't know the title or who sings it.
Right. Because I'm going to go get up at 4 a.m. to watch a television show...
Yeah...But did you watch it regulary before then???
Winter, you're not alone. I often think of it as "mortreve" as well. Morning, afternoon, evening, and mort, for the really dark part of the day.
Yay! Someone who isn't laughing at me! Actually, I think it's mortrevere... But thanks, that's helpful!
Whew! I'm so glad that you've taken care of that!
So am I! Just don't die any time soon, ok?
Thank you! That's a big 'Happy Birthday'!
You're welcome! Aw, I get a hug? Thanks!
See y'all!

Hey, Winter!!! How is everything going??
Well, I don't have time to catch up. Just dropping in to say "hi"!!
I hope everyone has had a blessed Sabbath! It's all rainy and cloudy and dreary here and my ear has a funny ache in it and my throat won't stop itching. But everything's else great, otherwise! And there's a beautiful poetry to rainy weather...yeah, so I guess I shouldn't complain.
EDIT: Oh! For all those wondering, my avatar was made by eves_daughter! I love it! *needs to put that in her signature*

And today me and my siblings are spending the day at our grandparents' house. It will be lots of fun, we'll probably watch a movie downstairs and make popcorn.
Those sorts of days are always fun!
*waves to Ti*
Woah! Huge post, Ruby!
Winter, I am so sorry if that I came across the wrong way about the 'mortereve' thing! It was just that because you said you weren't sure about where the middle came from that I thought you might have been muddled up. I didn't mean it to be condescending or insulting. It's a gibberish word anyways, so it's not really a big deal.
*chuckles at the fact that MissA is still on a TAN high*
Ed P, that's quite a late wake up time. Glad you got caught up on your sleep.
Now, I don't understand. Don't y'all have that Font Colour chart to choose from when you post?
Oh, yeah, I do. But since I'm doing the color codes by hand anyways, I wanted to use the colors I liked from the old forum. Just me being weird.
When I first read this I only thought of this kind of sub and I wondered what I was missing, and how I had developed those magic powers to make dear Tiana into a sub sandwich!
Those would be some amazing modly powers.
I wish we had a hobbit smiley. Now, how would that look? With suspenders, furry feet, and a tossled head of hair ... and holding eating some mushrooms!
You mean like these? Yahoo Images is amazing. . .

Earel, procrastination is a wondrous thing. That really stinks about still having to do the grades by hand.

Fanny, thanks for the prayers!
Eh, it's my Anatomy and Physiology test. I'm fairly confident in all but the most recent stuff we've covered. It's still a bit stressful as I'm not totally sure how the prof will do the test and A&P is a hard course. But, she handed out a practice test that I did fairly well on, so I think I'll do okay. Not sure though. *is very indecisive*
Well, I hope nobody else around here has ever had the unpleasant oppurtunity of working in a concession stand.
I helped with my swim team one for years. It wasn't that bad.

Aww, but it's fun here.

Ruby, I hope you feel better soon!
I went to a friend's surprise baby shower yesterday. It was a blast. Other then that, I've really just been studying and wasting time.
I'll be around for the night.

*nudges Ruby* Well, here I be trying to post again, although if my computer powers down without ceremony for a third time while I'm writing the post I shall take it as a divine sign and never return to this place... I was told by some that it would be somewhat easier to break into things since the forum has been (in some ways) started over from scratch recently. To which I say, if twenty pages is "scratch" then I tremble in my boots - erm, bare feet - to think of what "established" might look like...
And yes, I am a massive Nickel Creek fan - and also a massive Tenth Avenue North fan (how does one get into this club, by the way? I can squee with the best of them, if that's what it takes, but I can also be rational about it...).
I suppose technically I should probably re-introduce myself, since I'm practically a stranger and the forum thinks I'm a new member anyway. I'm JealousOfTheMoon, better known as JotM or Moon. I'm Ruby's older, shorter sister. Hobbies include going to college (my most expensive hobby, I'll admit), writing, dabbling with deader-than-dead languages, and temporarily kidnapping babies from unsuspecting mothers (I do make sure to form an acquaintance with said mothers before I temporarily and frequently kidnap their babies... it's not as if I just randomly take them from strangers).
Ooh. *high-fives* I'm taking Anatomy & Physiology too, and it is tough. I enjoy the subject matter, but I still feel like I'm drowning in a sea of notecards, miniscule assignments, quizzes, and lectures that are somewhat reminiscent of a ride on the Witch's sleigh: fast, colourless, and freezing cold thanks to some unmerciful administration that keeps our room at below-zero temperatures (well, that's what it feels like). Oh, and let's not forget the wretched bone lists...! Anyhow, it's nice to know there's someone else on the planet pushing through - huzzah for people slogging through A&P! I wish you much success. ...oh, and thanks for welcoming me.
"...but Eustace had read only the wrong books. They had a lot to say about exports and imports and governments and drains, but they were weak on dragons."
Mortereve all!
Winter: It surely is!
malkah: Thank you! I have read Mansfield Park, although it wasn't my absolute favourite Austen. But Fanny in it was rather nice, was she not? (I take it you've read the book too?)
*waves to Alyosha* (But I'll refrain from saying anything longer so the temptation and the chance you'll get sucked in will not be as great)
Narnia Girl: Ah, I see. I can kind of understand that- while the content in Fireproof is by no means bad, I think the main thing is age appropriate-ness, if that makes any sense. Meaning, there's some films I've seen that have been great for my age group/teens/older kids, but I wouldn't let my younger brothers watch it because it's not age appropriate.
Ella: Your box sounds special! I love things that hold memories (well, as long as the memories are good ones, I suppose) and special things from childhood.
Oh good! I'm glad you're enjoying Great Expectations. Do you have any favourite characters so far?
Flambeau: I'm glad your birthday went well & was lots of fun! That's always wonderful!
~LL~: I'm sure you'll do well! Keep us updated! *hugs*
Welcome to the Town Square, JealousoftheMoon! Are you having computer troubles too? My computer has also been recently shutting down on me whenever it feels like it, so I can understand how frustrating it'd be. But welcome!

*Cor and Vern return to the square for a catch-up post*
Mortereve all! Today has been quite nice in Archenland. Spent most of the day with my grandmother, as I usually do on Sunday. I hope everyone else has had a good day as well.
Catching-up:
@ LL. Well, your post was still fun to read as always.
Yeah, I had fun when I was going through those numbers. "Ooh! Post 1986! That's when Aliens came out!" If I remember correctly, the British Invasion was 1964.
@ Lucy. I'm doing quite well, thanks. How about you?
@ Ruby. Oops.... Sorry for bringing back horrible, life scarring images to you. "Dave and the Really Big Pickle" is probably my favorite.
@ Edmund.P. Yep, Indiana Jones 4 was a truly horrible movie. It made Temple of Doom look good. Glad to hear you disliked it. Last Crusade is my all time favorite Indiana Jones film.
@ Jo. *Oh! Thanks very much for the rope miss Jo! Vern graciously accepts the rope and begins flossing*
At the present time..... no. I haven't really looked around for a job yet, so I'm not sure where I would like to work.
Quite welcomed, Jo! Glad to be of service.
*waves to Elle*
@ Kat. What do you mean by "TV guardians"? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this term.....
@ Malkah. That's fine with me. Like I said, most everyone here calls me that anyway.
@ Alyosha. Hello! It's been forever since I've seen you around the Square! How have you been?
@ CSLN. Aye, it was. I did the same thing today as well... Oh yes, VERY true. *sigh* Though we have to do them.... I'm always too zeroed-in on my work to have music playing. Besides, I prefer to just sit and listen to music without a lot of other stuff going on around me.
Well, I'm finishing my workbook on geometry which is going rather well. I'll probably start Algebra II in the next few weeks.
I'm actually taking a free college level English lit course online this year. I'll be starting it tomorrow, so I'm excited about that. Hehe, I guess it is fun to be a high-schooler... Oh good, I didn't think so, but still...
@ Flam. First off, I appear to have neglected to wish you happy birthday, so.... HAPPY (belated} BIRTHDAY FLAM!!!!!
Hmm, I think I'll keep your old nickname for the time being. You keep popping in and out without a specific schedule!
@ JealousOfTheMoon. Greeting and welcome to the Square/NarniaWeb, miss! I'm PrinceCor, better known as Cor. It's nice to meet you! *bows* I'm sure you'll get the hang of the Square/forum.
Hmm... interesting hobbies you have there... especially kidnapping babies.

Of course you get a hug! Thank you for that one! Here's another one!
flam, my sister (JMoon) is a big fan of Nickel Creek!!! I like their music too.
Aha! I thought that's where it came from! That's awesome! Nickel Creek has some great songs!
Eh, I've had those days as well. It's allowed.
Hooray! So, I didn't break any rules?!
Care to elaborate?
Lol. Not at all. Djaq has started calling me 'The Worm' or 'Worms' because I've been reading a lot lately.
@ JealousOfTheMoon, welcome to the Square!! I really hope you enjoy it here!
I really like the song that your user-name comes from, btw!
And yes, I am a massive Nickel Creek fan - and also a massive Tenth Avenue North fan (how does one get into this club, by the way? I can squee with the best of them, if that's what it takes, but I can also be rational about it...).
Excellent music choices! I would suggest asking MissAravis about the TAN club... she's our resident 'TAN fan' (to put it mildly).

It was wonderful! Thank you!

Moon, so glad to have you here!
Computer problems are awful! I hope you can figure that problem out and get it fixed.
You'll get along here very well. I don't consider college a hobby; it's more like an all consuming circle of work. Just what are your "deader-then-dead" languages? And, that sounds like a fun sort of kidnapping.
Hurrah for someone else on the forum taking A&P!! I likewise enjoy the course, but it's not a cakewalk at all! My course doesn't have any "assignments," but I have loads of notecards strewn about. We have quizzes every week in lab. "Only" 8 questions, so if you miss one, it's down to 88%. I know what you mean about classrooms being cold; it's been 70's-80's here and I'm wearing jeans and a jacket in the classrooms. Could you please elaborate on the "wretched bone lists"? I'm either not as far along as you or didn't realize they were wretched. Thanks for the kind wishes, and I hope the class goes well for you also!
Thanks, Fanny!
Just what I always needed!!! A ringwraith smiley! Or... *counts* ...four.

Ehh, I don't think I have dreams like this yearly... And if the Bringer Of Originally Kooky Weird & Y-book dReams at Midnight comes to visit, WHY didn't he pick a different book/movie series? Eh? Eh?
I don't know. Those were the first words that fit and I could come up with in 60 seconds. Maybe it's gonna become a yearly occurrence? Or, perhaps the "Y" can change to "young"? Or "yellow"? Or "yakky"? Or "yodeling"? And, perhaps he sent those dreams because he wanted you to ask questions about his odd choices?
I'm actually taking a free college level English lit course online this year. I'll be starting it tomorrow, so I'm excited about that.
Sounds fun! Hope it goes well! (You won't let Vern help will you? )
