I just watched this awful movie last night called "The Last Flight Of Noah's Ark"
yes it's as bad as it sounds! :P

Good mortereve everyone, I hope that ya'll are doing well this fare evening.

We are currently watching the Braves play the Reds. We're down 3-1, but have the heart of the order coming up, so things are looking okay.(make that 3-3 thanks to a Brian Mcann two-run opposite field home runD)

This weeks episode of Psych was very good, as is mostly usual. About the normal amount of cursing, but it was cool to see Freddie Prinze Jr. guest starring. He did a very good job.

Hot dogs are for dinner, but they should be very good with some chili and sauerkraut.

Yes QueenSusan, I do like Country music.:) Alan is good.:D
There are good female country singers, but as with other genres, it's just whatever your tastes are.

So how are ya'll doing this evening?

They did drugs and they're all dead.

*walks in slowly and dripping wet*

ugh my body must have a moisture overload! We went swimming again today and we're going again tomorrow! I'm sooo exhausted (-| :p .

GtG, I do like Carrie, but she is very similar to Taylor in that her music crosses the lines between genres.

yeah she does, but I like her voice better than Taylor's. Taylor has a great voice on the CD but not so much in concerts :p .

*watching a little kid on the hunting channel celebrate after shooting a big deer...*

=)) that made me laugh so much lol. I didn't know there was a hunting channel! My dad and sister would probably like to watch it sometime ;)) .

*is listening to "Happy is a Yuppie Word" by Switchfoot for the first time* Hmm.. I thought this was going to be a really funny song or something, because of the title, but apparently not. :p

lol me too ;)) .

Yeah.. just go listen to "High Life Scenery" ;) The reason I probably like all these guys so much is because they don't just do it for the money. :p It comes out in their music.
Oh, I just got an email from Amazon saying Sky Sailing is delayed until the middle of August. :(( :(( And I'll be in Hong Kong then.. I'm annoyed, because I wanted to listen to it in Hong Kong. X( I'm tempted to order another CD quickly, to make up for it. Ocean Eyes? :p But I don't have too much money.

Do you mean "A Song is Not a Business Plan"? Yep :) . I wonder if Matty T would do it for no money...

aww :( . Yes Ocean Eyes! Buy it buy it buy it!!! :D :p

Well, I sort of do, but when I saw them last summer after 2 years they'd all kinda drifted away from the good friends they used to be, and now I'm not really in contact with anyone. My cousins are awesome though. :) Actually these last few days I've been asking God to help me to be able to cope with going back there, because it's been weighing on me so much and I don't want to spoil my last year in Japan. And I feel a lot better, it's really good. :) Thanks for the hug. :p

Me too - maybe. ;)

I'm sorry. I hate it when that happens. I've had way too many friends come and go in my life, that's why I rely on the internet so much- for friends.

Yeah God can definitely help with that. I've learned that sometimes we pray for stuff but we really don't want help with it. It's making us miserable but we still want to wallow in whatever feelings. But when we truly give our hearts and feelings to God, He leads them the right way :) .

;))

There are a few weird voices Now That I'm reading the books again I'm starting to not like them as much

Like Aslan... it's really annoying, because his voice sounds really like the voice of the Witch King in these LOTR radio dramas I used to listen to all the time. I looked it up and it's not the same person, but I can't get it out of my head and now Aslan sounds.. evil. :p X(

ugh why does everyone but me not like Aslan?! I love it! Better than Liam Neeson's version...

*waves back to GTG* I was doing very well yesterday afternoon, and I am doing well today. I was able to read in peace and quiet (that happens so rarely). How about you? :)

Ooh I love reading in peace and quite- rarely happens for me too ;)) . I'm all right. I have a really bad stomach ache b/c of the pizza we ate at the bowling alley yesterday :p . This is why we never eat out! My poor stomach is used to raw, organic foods! :p

waves to Ali: hi! so the music at the bowling is bad, eh? haha.....that's too bad......

yes if you count Avril Lavigne, Foo Fighters, Chris Brown, The Black Eyed Peas, etc. bad! The only half decent music they played was Lifehouse, Train, and *ahem* Justin Beiber.

Hello, everyone! My siblings still aren't back from camp and there is no point in going to bed because when they finally do come home they are sure to wake me up and I'll have to hear them talk about everything they've done all week and I won't be able to go back to sleep for a very long time (don't you just love run-on sentences? :p ).

Anyhow.......

By the way, do you have a nickname?(Yes, I know I'm rather behind the times. :P ) Surely you don't go by daughter of the King, in casual conversation?

Of course I go by my full name in casual conversation! :p (I'm in a silly mood right now, can you tell?) I have four nicknames, daughter, dotk, Dot, and Dotty. Call me by which ever one that strikes your fancy. :)

Ah, they are here. I shall have to continue my catching up later. So long!

I don't even know why. :p But I love summer. This summer hasn't been boring. It's been an amazing break from.. real life. ;) :p

*frowns at all the dislike at PC movie* [-( If there is someone else out there that at least remotely likes it, please tell me. :( :p Sure, they destroyed the book for what it was, but I can still enjoy it as a movie.

tsk. tsk. tsk. That should not be allowed. [-x :p

Ooh, I love this [-x smiley. Well, not love, because it's not exactly *happy* but I've wanted to do that on Narniaweb several times. Er.. thanks? :p

*waits a while* Nope. Still hot. Oh well, at least you tried!

Aww.. I guess the journey was too far to make. :( :p

*waves to.. WinterStar, ValiantArcher, Queen Susan, Libby and KingsKid*
Whew. #:-s :p

Do you mean "A Song is Not a Business Plan"? Yep . I wonder if Matty T would do it for no money...

aww . Yes Ocean Eyes! Buy it buy it buy it!!!

Well, both.. maybe that one fits more though. Hmm... I'm not sure. But then again I don't "know" him as well as some others, as in, I haven't slightly obsessively tracked down ever single interview that he's in. :p

*Checks* well, Amazon Japan has it for 1822 yen, and if I completed my album on iTunes, I could get it for the equivalent of 813 yen.. so, I think I'll go with the iTunes download, although I really wanted to have this one physically. :-s I don't want to spend that much on it, knowing that it might not even get here on time. I'll download it the day before I go, to give myself something to enjoy/look forward to. :p

But when we truly give our hearts and feelings to God, He leads them the right way .

Yeah.. although I understand it's hard for them to wait while I'm gone for years at a time.. I'm afraid of losing the friends I have now, when I go back, no matter how much they say they'll stay in touch. It's not the same when you're not there physically - they tend to expect you to make new friends and get on with your life. /:) :p Ah.. but isn't it a bit hard that you rarely/never get to meet them?

Yeah.. (I say that a lot, don't I? :p) I always want to stay angry at someone, stay feeling hurt, because I feel like I have a right to, and it seems easier than giving it up. But until we do, we'll never really be free.

ugh why does everyone but me not like Aslan?! I love it! Better than Liam Neeson's version...

For me I think it's just the connection with the evil character of another radio drama that's doing it. :p But I do love Liam Neeson's version of Aslan.

yes if you count Avril Lavigne, Foo Fighters, Chris Brown, The Black Eyed Peas, etc. bad! The only half decent music they played was Lifehouse, Train, and *ahem* Justin Beiber.

*shudders* :p Plus, you just listed everything my friends love. ;) But, Lifehouse is more than half decent, you should know that. ;) And I thought you hated Justing Bieber.. ? :-

dot, enjoy, (if you can), your full house! :p

I've got to go.. bye. :)

*feels very odd being on so late*

They're still talking. And the house is already a mess. And there is humongous pile of laundry. It does feel more natural to have them home, but I did enjoy the quiet (don't for one moment think that I don't love my siblings, but they are my siblings. And anyone who has siblings knows what I mean).

*waves to ValiantArcher* So you're done with summer school? I still have quite a bit left, but the fall semester doesn't start until the end of August so I suppose it works out.

They're trying to sing the "Moose Song" for me. Whatever that is.

Aw, I'm sorry the pizza didn't agree with you, GTG. You'd have a terrible time at our house. We eat pizza a lot.

ugh why does everyone but me not like Aslan?! I love it! Better than Liam Neeson's version

Yes and no. Aslan does sound odd in a couple of places, but I agree he is more majestic and almost wild than the Liam Neeson version. There is one scene where I absolutely love the Radio Theater Aslan: the scene with Shasta in HHB. He just sounds so perfect.

Er.. thanks? :p

Um.....welcome. ;))

I am currently watching more hunting as that is what I do best.:P

*is also in need of breakfast*

GtG, I love swimming, but I do not think I could swim quite that often. I might turn into a fish.;)

And I do agree with you there, Carrie has a much better voice. Taylor live...ouch.

LOL. Yes, there are actually mutiple hunting channels. We have The Outdoor Channel, the Pursuit channel, and the Hunt Channel. Also, you can see hunting on sportsouth, ESPN, Versus....:) I think there are probably others depending on what part of the country you are in.

What you can do with bowling alley music is ignore the lyrics and just bob your head with the beat.;)

Mortereve, all!
*spends a few minuets looking for her last post*

Ditto here as well, making the night sky rather hazy. I can't wait for the cool, clear skies of autumn for stargazing. But right now, we're coming up to the warmest 2 weeks of the year, on average.

Oh, yes, I can't wait for autumn either! I really can't stand humidity. I can handle heat alright, but humidity is just so...suffocating. It makes going outside miserable. :P
So you really do enjoy stargazing? Do you use a telescope?

I know a lot of people are concerned about a few things that were in the trailer. But I must say, I was really impressed with the appearance of the sea of lilies.

The sea of lilies was definitely a positive of the trailer. :) A couple shots of the islands really wowed me, too.

I can understand your hesitation! Especially at the prices of movies these days.

Mhm! It would cost about 70 bucks for our whole family to go out to see a movie. :| Pretty ridiculous, considering all the other things you could do with 70 dollars. :P We do have a local dollar theater, however, which is really nice. :D They get the movies about 3 months after they've hit theaters, but for a buck, who's going to complain? :P I might go see 'The Last Airbender' when it goes there, because my brother really wants to see it. And if the cinematography and bending effects are good, maybe I won't mind it so much either. :P

Well I think that the reviews are over rated.

Yeah, critics can be obnoxious. :P A couple of my friends said it wasn't that bad of a movie, too.

Yeah I hear that Alan and Much would be the only reason worth watching the third season. I can understand that because I have heard that he becomes a lot better of a person (Guy the is).

I don't think they're the only reason. The episodes are all still exciting. :) There was a couple really good ones. Mhm, Guy kinda goes through a character change in season 3. :) I'm such a softie for dynamic characters. :P

Oooh, that sounds like fun! Do you have ocean beaches or lake beaches? (Or river beaches, I suppose... are there any other options?)

It is fun, though I'm not too much of a beach person. :P We have ocean beaches. :) Do you have any beaches?

Sounds exactly like my father. He was the one who helped me through math and I can't thank him enough. He was a banker for 40 years, so yeah, very numbers-oriented. Unfortunately I did not inherit enough of his talent. :P

Wow, a banker! I don't know how any one could bear such a job. ;)) I'm very thankful to my dad as well, even though I have a tendency to complain when he makes me do an extra 3 pages. :P

How many days until we could possibly have snow? 50-something? :D

Ah, I wish we got snow! It might make up for the killer summers. :P I've never even seen snow. ;))

I hate Florida summers, except for the whole pool/beach thing

A hearty ditto to that! :p

*begins skimming*

Science and Algebra? *shudders at the very thought*

Haha! :P My brain is just so un-mathematical, so I have trouble with both those subjects. :P

Well, yes, [CS] would be a rather safe driver but... I might make it worse for her if I'm in the car by yelling impulsively, "OH! No! Wait! You'll hit that tree! Watch out!"&c. ;) Thank-you! And how have you been doing? =]

=)) That's what my mom does when I drive! I've tried to tell her that yelling doesn't really help my driving, but she can't seem to help it. :P I'm going to give my poor mother a heart attack. :P
I've been doing very well, thank you! God has really been working in my life lately. :D I feel like I'm starting to find out His will for my life, and it's so wonderful to know that He has a plan for me! :)

That is a good quote, Poggy. Who are you favorite character(s), or are you like me, and can't decide?

I've never actually thought about who my favorite character is. :P I really like the giant, whose name escapes me. I can't really decide, either, though. ;)) Too many good ones!

I suppose that's it, then! I'm off to go clean the house.

Avy by ValiantArcher, sig by hyaline12. Thank you!

Good Mortereve everyone! I hope everyone is well? I have been well- really busy with work and all, but that's okay. I've enjoyed working more this summer. Hmm...what's new in my life. Well, for one whole week my sister and I held down the fort all by ourselves- that was so much fun! We missed our family quite a bit though, that was probably the only downside to it all. But we had fun cooking, cleaning, mowing the lawn, and such. We also watched quite a few movies. It was good, all in all. :)

Now, this catch up goes from some time ago...just so y'all know.

*waves to Aslan's Country* How are you?

Hello there, Fanny! How have you been? I would love for you to make a Mansfield Park movie! :D I'm almost finished reading it for the first time, but I can already safely say it's my favorite of all of Austen's works. (Sorry I randomly picked that subject out of your post, it just stood out to me :P)

Hi Pogginfan! I have been very well, thank you! :) I've had so many chances to grow in the Lord, even some more challenging ones. I've quite enjoyed it. :) How are you? Don't worry about the random picking of the Mansfield Park subject, I don't mind a bit! :) Have you finished Mansfield Park? If so, what were your final thoughts? Maybe I will make a mini-series version of that someday. Maybe we all could do it... :)

That is rather confusing, eh? Anyway, our vacation was great! We went down south to visit my grandmother, as we do each year. How was yours? :)

Hehe, yes. ;)) But no matter. For the record, we still haven't finished Season 5. I'm very glad to hear your vacation was great! :) Ours went very well, thanks! We went down to Ohio to visit friends for a week or so, that was great, of course. :)

Life is going ok I guess... Hm. :) There's ups and downs--2010 hasn't been really BAD, but it's probably been the worst year of my life so far. :p But I'm still enjoying it, so what do I have to complain about? :p I guess. ;))
We're leaving to go to Utah and Idaho this Saturday!! For a week long vacation. So I'm fairly excited for that. :D I love family vacations. :)
Oh, and I like the term "Dominion Day"!!
And also, we had an "Independence Day" party at our house on the 5th, so that was a lot of fun. :D

How did your family vacation go? :) The Independence Day party sounds like fun. :)

I kind of understand about 2010 being that way; I believe 2009 was like that for myself. So much happened that year, it all seemed to kind of happen all at once. It was, true, a wonderful time to grow closer to the Lord and depend upon Him only, and I learned things that I couldn't have learned so well any other way, but.... So yes. How is life for you? :)

*And sends greetings to all he did not specifically mention: Gazer, Libby, AC, Ben, Queen Susan, Cepp, NN, Mel and Fanny*

*sends greetings back* How are you, Cor?

It wasn't an official curriculum. It was one that we pretty much made up. It was called "A Hive Of Busy Bees". :)

Ah, okay! How did it go, all in all? It sounds like a fun one! :) And how are you? How is life for you? How has your summer been?

Ah! Thank you! That may help in keeping Victoria Day and Dominion Day straight in my head. :D *drinks some whole milk from her family's goats* It's so much more tasty... *eats the cheerios dry*

You're welcome! :) Goats milk...that sounds yummy. :) Does your family have many other animals besides goats? :)

*hugs Fanny* I've not spoken to you in forever; how are you doing?

*sends a huge hug back* It has been a long time! (But that is my fault too...) I am doing really well, thank you! The Lord is helping me enjoy these fast passing summer days. And you? How are you?

Fanny, so glad you had such a good trip, and that you got to meet wisewoman!!! :D

Thanks Mrs. Jo! :D Now, did I ever send you a picture or two from our meeting? Or did wisewoman send you any? If not, I sincerely apologise for keeping you waiting!

haha. I hate the pressure you get though, about what you're going to do. Everyone always asks what I want to do in colllege and I really have no idea. It's kinda hard too b/c my younger sister already has all these plans and ideas and I, the older one, is totally lost :( . Oh well, God will lead me where I'm supposed to go sometime :) .

I know this is to Cor, but I had to say something about it. :) I understand where you are coming from- my younger sister has known pretty much what she is hoping to do for the past four or five years, and my older brother has known what he wants to do for all his life pretty much. It was hard for me to except that my sister knew what she wants and I, the older one, didn't know. Just rest assured that God WILL lead you to what He has in mind- but that that leading may be something that happens subconciously without you knowing it. In fact, He's most likely already leading you on that path by giving you interests and hobbies that may someday blossom into something more. Obviously I don't know how my story is going to end, but just last month, after over a year at least of not knowing and of feeling so lost and negatively different and untalented because I didn't know, the Lord began to reveal the picture to me, although it was only a little at a time. I think perhaps one of the things that comes out of our time of not knowing, and all the emotions that accompany it, is that it really teaches us to rely on the Lord, even, and especially, when everyone around us knows what they want to do. I think it teaches us to focus only on Him, and not on the others around us. :) Or something like that. That being said, it really isn't easy not knowing, especially when younger siblings do know.

Well...I do hope I haven't missed anyone... if I have, sorry! >.>

FF: Hello!! :) :D Nice to see you in the square again. :) Our family vacation went really well!! I had a really great time with close and extended family alike. :) It's a real blessing that most of our relatives are Christians! Very nice to spend time with them. :)
And life is going pretty well! :) 3 people I know are expecting, one couple that's been married for almost two years and I think really wanted a baby, a cousin who's youngest is 7 and they really wanted another baby, and a really good friend who's youngest is 6 and they really wanted another baby too. :) I think the last two both had some miscarriages, so it was a real blessing to find out that they were expecting now! And enough past "the danger" at the moment that they told people. :) I had been praying especially for the good friend--probably for the last year. So when my prayer was answered--I was completely overjoyed. :D Probably the only one crying about it. ;) :p But I'm emotional. ;)) It was inexpressibly happy for me though, and I'm not even related. ;))
Anyway. Enough rambling. ;)) How are you??

College Freshman!!! :D Yep, you heard correctly, I'll be starting college at the end of August. Actually, I'm going to our local community college, but it's still college. :p

*Oh dear, he's going to be flaunting this around for awhile.... 8-| *

Ahem, in other news, we got a new AC unite on Thursday!!! :D :D/ Now the house is a nice, comfortable cool temperature of 76. *Sigh.....*

Alright, time for a much overdue catch-up post! :)

On page 88...

@ Rose. *waves back merely* Wow, sounds like an excellent time at the concert! Glad you had such a great time and got to meet Mr. Bell. :D

@ Dot. Glad to see you have become a regular of the Square! :) As I mentioned earlier, our AC was finally fixed/replaced on Thursday. :D

@ AC. Well, as I've told a few people now, we got a new AC!!

BTW, is there another nickname you would prefer besides "AC"? I seem to remember noticing somewhere that you disliked that name, but I can't remember where and I'm too lazy to go look right now. :p

@ Ali. As of the writing of that post, yes I was still at my grandmothers. Now, of course, I'm at home. :)

@ Ben. To our yearly working vacation in Nashville, TN. :)

@ Jo. Yes, poor Vern has never quite gotten used to that... :| ;) As far as we know, our AC problems were not caused by dragon-related damages. I think we are too afraid of the wrath of Lady A to try anything like that... :-ss

*Salmon!!! :D :D Vern eagerly and gratefully accepts the catch of salmon from Jo. Thank you, oh most kindly miss Jo! I'm afraid I'll have to share some with Cor though. He also loves salmon...*

Cooked, mind you. Never raw. :|

@ Poggy. Quote welcome, miss. :D I've been... busy. Finally got enrolled at our local community college and will be starting classes near the end of August, been staying with my grandmother off and on for last few weeks until Thursday when our AC got replaced and a bunch of other mundane things. :)

You?
--------------------

On Page 89...

@ Mel. *the Prince and Dragon wave back to Mel*

@ AJoanna. I believe I met you a few years ago, but I'm not sure.... Anyway, my names Cor. Nice to meet you! :)

*And I'm Vern, Cor's dragon. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.*

@ Ben. Well.... on the 18th I was at my grandmothers and the queen and king were at home slugging out the heat. :p

-------------------

Page 90..

@ Bella. Thanks and thanks! As you know, our AC is finally fixed.

How are the two sisters of the Windy City doing?

@ Lys. Wait... you mean I can't catch some of your Epicness by hanging around you? :-o Bummer.... ;)

Decides to start skimming and looking for his name or anything of interest...

*Is slightly amused at Ali and Ben taking up the majority of page 191*

HAPPY (belated) SWEET 16, Ruby!!! :D :D/

@ Fanny. I'm doing well. Just finished watching a lovely thunderstorm that went over our house.

How are you these days?

-----------------------------

O.K, I think that got everything. If I missed anyone, considered yourselves greeted from me and Vern. :p

Alright, time to go back to the castle. Talk with all of you later!

Hello, daughter of the king. I'm not sure if we've ever met, but I'm Valia. :) Did your siblings have a good time at camp?
Yes, I finished my Comp II class on Thursday. :D I was also interning for a while, but now I've just got a few weeks completely free before the fall semester starts. :) Where are you in your schooling, if you don't mind me asking?
And I know exactly what you mean about siblings and noise vs peace and quiet. ;))

*returns Aslans Country's wave* How are you doing? :)

Hullo, pogginfan! What have you been up to lately? :)

Hello, Fanny! You and your sister held down the fort this past week? Hurrah! My sisters and I did, too. ;)) 'Cept, for us, it was only the parents who were gone, so while we missed them, it wasn't as lonely as it would've been if some of my sisters were gone, too. :)

Hullo, PC004 and Vern! Congratulations about entering college, PC004! :D (And, pssst, Vern: Let him enjoy it while he can. Soon he'll have classwork galore and he might not be so ecstatic about the whole matter. ;) ) What classes are you taking? :)

Friday, my mom and elder sister and I went to a library program about infamous murders in the area. Verrry interesting, even if I'd never heard of any of them before. ;)) It definitely made me more interested in local history, though, so maybe I'll try to do some research into it. :)
So, today was pretty slow. I slept in waaaaay late by mistake and mostly just puttered about today. I did run some laundry and the dishwasher, as well as washing all the hand dishes and tidying my room some. :) I'd forgotten how, well, boring life is when there's no schedule. :P I get incredibly lazy and find it hard to motivate myself to do anything, even reading sometimes. I really just need to kick myself into gear and do something with these last free couple weeks before the semester starts. ;))

*waves* Thanks! :) Yes, I feel somewhat bad for my absence, I hope I can correct that. :) That is fantastic about most of your relatives being Christians- and of course that you had a wonderful time and such. :) Did you get to see many of your extended family?

That is so special and wonderful about your friends- congratulations to them and Praise the Lord! :) How wonderful!! :) I hope everything continues to go smoothly for them and that their new little bundles of joy bless them abundantly (although I am sure that will happen!)

I don't mind your rambling a bit. ;) I am very very well, thank you! Life has been busy, because it's the summer I've picked up some extra shifts at my workplace, so instead of just working on the weekends as before I would I'm now working once or twice throughout the week. Thankfully it's generally only for the mornings- not an all day deal, (although some of my co-workers are there all day, but they are generally the waiters and waitresses, not the kitchen staff), but all in all I've been enjoying working extra. :) Other than that, let's see. Hmm. Well, the Lord has been showing & teaching me some new things over these past few weeks- some of which are specific areas that need work on, and I'm actually grateful for that. Through the Lord's strength those weaknesses have been improving, which is nice. :)

*Cor and Vern enter the Square discussing Cor's new status as a......*

College Freshman!!! :D Yep, you heard correctly, I'll be starting college at the end of August. Actually, I'm going to our local community college, but it's still college. :p

Bravo! :) That must be really exciting for you- if you don't mind me asking, do you have any specific subjects you'll be taking? I'm a college freshman myself (My, how strange that sounds. I wanted to be High School Senior for so long, and now I'm a College Freshman...), although I'm doing my further education from online distance learning courses and some self taught subjects. It should be really exciting! :)

@ Fanny. I'm doing well. Just finished watching a lovely thunderstorm that went over our house.

How are you these days?

Thunderstorms are kind of neat, aren't they? :) I'm glad to hear you guys were able to get your air conditioning back, it's a kind of important thing for the hot days of summer, eh? ;)) I have been doing well, thanks! :) Excited in a way that summer is almost over, but also hoping I've used the summer in a way that has glorified the Lord and been worthwhile. :) It's definitely been a summer like no other, but in the best sense, of course. :)

Well folks, I should be off. Tis time for me to say goodnight & happy dreams to y'all! (With lots of milk and cheerios, of course! Don't forget to brush your teeth afterwards, though.)

Edit: Valia! :D

Hello, Fanny! You and your sister held down the fort this past week? Hurrah! My sisters and I did, too. ;)) 'Cept, for us, it was only the parents who were gone, so while we missed them, it wasn't as lonely as it would've been if some of my sisters were gone, too. :)

Right. ;) :) I hope that you and your sisters had an overall successful defensive campaign as the overall defense of your illustrious and noble fort (er, home), and I am sure that you were ready and able to defend your abode against any intruders most unwelcome (read: mice, spiders, etc). ;) Seriously, did it go well? :) I hope so! That's kind of fun that we were both doing the same thing at roughly the same time. :) :)

The session on local history at your library sounds interesting. :) I think local history can be fun sometimes, especially if it's in an area where you've lived for much of your life, or where born there, so you can say that you, in a way, were part of it. Where my family lives now we're kind of transplants, so we don't really have any connection with the history here, so it's slightly hard for me to get "into" it. Or perhaps that's because it's all about logging. *yawn* ;)

Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

What Josh Turner songs do you like, Queen Susan? :) I've only heard a few of his, but I absolutely love "Would You Go With Me".

That's the one I like. :) It's the only one I can really remember, although I think he might have one entitled "Me and God." I remember thinking that one was a little weird though. All I can remember of the lyrics are "Me and God, two peas in a pod." and I'm thinking--"What?? We're created in God's image, but we're not THAT much like Him. For example, we sin all the time." /:) So--yeah. But "Would You Go With Me" is a favorite Country song of mine. ;)) I love how deep he goes. :p

Did you get to see many of your extended family?

Yes, we saw most of our "California relatives." :) We have a reunion with them once every 3 years, and they are a lot of fun to be around. :) All of my other extended family (at least 99% probably!) lives in the same state as I do, and we see them a few times a year. :)
So do you work at a restaurant then? Cooking? Or is it a different place? Sorry I forgot. :p

Well, the Lord has been showing & teaching me some new things over these past few weeks- some of which are specific areas that need work on, and I'm actually grateful for that. Through the Lord's strength those weaknesses have been improving, which is nice. :)

:) Praise God for His grace towards us! Sanctification is a wonderful thing, eh? :)
Must be off to bed... Goodnight!
