Mortereve, everyone! I'm in for my annual monthly post. ;)

Actually, I'm avoiding doing grades. Our school finally gave the teachers access to a data program that does grades for you. It's great. It adds, subtracts, weights, and formulates end of semster grades for you. But somebody at our school decided that, even though we have this program, we're supposed to hand-write all our progress report grades, comments, names, etc.

...I actually was more nervous than I should have been coming into taking the ACT. I am not sure how I did..I'll know for certain in a couple weeks.
I think that I did fairly well in Reading and English, and in Science as well.

@ kingskid - Did you take the SAT's as well? When I was a senior, several in my class took both and then submitted the higher of the two scores to their University choice. (I was not one of these over-achievers. I scraped by with a passing grade and left it at that. ;) )

Edmund P - I loved that part of Jane Eyre. Jane's answer gets me every time. One of my favorite quotes comes from that book too. "I desired more…than was here within my reach. Who blames me? Many, no doubt; and [call me] discontented. I could not help it: the restlessness was in my nature; it agitated me to pain sometimes."

Hello, Lys! Long time no see. 5 hours for laundry? Laundry, hm, that reminds me...

@ Winter - I watched half of that epsiode and then the SyFy channel pulled Dr. Who off. I keep hoping that they'll put it back on, but that's like waiting for rain here in the desert. :D

Hello to everyone that I haven't met. I'm sure we'll pass each other again eventually.

And for posterity's sake...

ORIGINAL!!!!

Earel, sorry to hear about you having to do more manual grading. I'm happy to see you, though. :D We needed a good dose of originality around here!

Lys, 5 hours for laundry?!?! Do you have to take a time when there's a line?

kingskid: I remember the SAT and the ACT--such fun times. Do you have any ideas for where you want to go next year?

It's just another Saturday with homework and such--I wonder what the cafeteria is serving tonight?

Disney's playing Space Camp tonight and it is horribly cut up. While I understand that they didn't have a choice because of the cussing, it is driving me NUTS! I keep expecting certain lines and on top of that it is leaving a few plot holes! Good grief!

There's a version floating around done by Feature Films for Families a few years back that has an edited soundtrack which is far and away a better version than what Disney's showing! ;))

Keep in mind, I love watching this film. It is really good except for the language issue. TV Guardians come in handy there. ;)

My parents bought a new tv today. It's an LED tv. And I now know a definite drawback to these high tech flat screens... if you have motion sensitivity (like I do), its enough to make you sick to your stomach! ;)) I watched for a few minutes and came upstairs back to my "old fashioned" tv.

I did some research today while in Best Buy (had to take my DVD player in before the warranty expires) on a new player because it is time I start thinking about a new one. I don't think I'm ready to upgrade to Blu-ray yet. I'm probably going to get a DVD/VHS combo, but one with a DVD burner in it so I can transfer my grandmother's home movies to DVD. I know the quality won't be great because it is analog to digital, but it'll at least preserve them. And I can keep watching my VHS tapes for a bit.

Hello all! *waves*

Welcome to the Town Square malkah! *waves* :) I'm ForeverFan, but, most people call me Fanny or F2, or FF, but you can call me whichever you like. :)

WinterStar:

Er, don't you mean 30,40, and 50th times? He really does.

Sure. ;) Or, the 100,000,000th+ time, for every time we've failed or come up short in our walk. :)

Aiden, here, here, here, here, and here are some of the albums were I got the piano solos from.

Dennie: I'm so glad to hear your first day of work went well- that's great! :) How many days a week will you be working?

Ah, okay! I see!

;)) Yes! Although I don't think I've often come across ones as coincidental as your's and Stardf's...to that degree you know. Not only being born in the same town, but living there during the same time and such. :)

~LL~: *gives a hug* So great to see you around again- although I understand that you're busy and stuff! ;) I'll be praying about the upcoming test, do you think it will be hard?

Narnia Girl: Thanks! Do you think you'll eventually see Fireproof? :) How are things with you? Anything new? Ah, the new furniture is- that sounds exciting! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLAMBEAU!!! :D May it be absolutely wonderful!! :)

*waves cheerily Fanny 'cause even though I enjoyed your post, I have nothing specifically to comment on*

*waves to everyone else* :) I should probably be off...for the next three weeks the television show we watch on TV isn't on, although it's going to be on on Wednesdays instead. So, we decided to stay in the habit of watching things on TV on Saturdays, we'd watch re-runs of the show instead. That should be interesting. ;) Cheers all!

Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

Just dropped in to do a little more poking around on the forum!!! How is everyone??

Oh, yes! And I need to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLAMBEAU!!!! I hope you have a great one.

*is so excited for Edmund P* Waiting for the concert is the worst part.

Oh! I just remembered something funny! Right before the Tenth Avenue North concert, my brother, sister, and my dad went out to a Chinese restaurant for dinner. The fortune cookie I received read, "A pleasant surprise is in store for you." And Ben's read, "An amazing musical oppurtunity is coming your way." Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised by the concert. It was a lot more than I expected, in an amazing way!!! Ben's "amazing musical oppurtunity" was meeting Jason!! You know that's the first drummer of a band he's ever met! He was so happy. Yeah, just thought I'd drop that in for anyone interested.

*is tired after a long afternoon of doing nothing but selling hotdogs and pop at a football game...not to mention washing all those dishes, making nachos, and a lot of other disgusting junk food*

Well, I hope nobody else around here has ever had the unpleasant oppurtunity of working in a concession stand. (Did I spell that right?)

Oh!! Good news! I think my sister (JealousOfTheMoon) is finally going to start posting on NW!!! She was on the old one for a while, well, she had an account, but never really did anything with it. I'm trying to get her into the Town Square!!! :) *grins deviously*

Well, I'll be off now!! I hope everyone here gets a pleasant night's sleep!!!

God bless!

Hello all! *Waves*

Homeschool classes are pretty common down here. I took Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, and some other stuff outside the house.

Really? That's neat! They're common-ish where I live, but not in Canada, I think.

@ Winter - I watched half of that epsiode and then the SyFy channel pulled Dr. Who off. I keep hoping that they'll put it back on, but that's like waiting for rain here in the desert. :D

Oh, that's too bad! Do you watch Doctor Who, regularly? (Or as often as you can with it not being on your SyFy channel?)

Sure. ;) Or, the 100,000,000th+ time, for every time we've failed or come up short in our walk. :)

Yeah. It really is amazing isn't it? :)

Oh, is today Flambeau's birthday??? Happy Birthday!!!

See y'all!

Thanks Jo, I can always use those.:)

Earel: No ma'am, I did not. The colleges that I am hoping to apply to do not require the SAT and the ACT, so I am just taking the ACT. This is the third time I have taken it. My score increased from my first to my second, so I am hoping I can increase it a bit more this time.
As far as I know, and I hope quite a bit, this is the last time I will have to take it.:)

Well, we finished our dove season(at least personally, not the statewide seasons) a week ago. We got about thirty-five dove total, and that's pretty good for us.
Bow season starts for us on the twenty-sixth. I'm not sure if we'll go for certain or not, but at least it's only two weeks away.:)

Yes Marigold, I have a pretty good idea of where I want to go. I think I have it narrowed down to two...it will come down to which scholarship offer(if any)is best.

By the way, it's great to see both of ya'll in here at the same time! Come around more often!;)
And Elle appeared too!

Actually Miss Aravis, it was a song I heard on the tv.;)😛 It was a song on the Christian music channel. It starts out...How long must I pray..must I pray to you? That is TAN right?

*waves to all others who posted above him*

And, thanks FF for reminding me. Happy Birthday Flambeau!!

Well, I had a larger post with a bunch of college football stuff in it.
I think I'll just shorten it. Texas, Florida, Penn State, and UCLA won.
Tennessee, and Oklahoma State lost.
Auburn and Mississippi State, South Carolina and Georgia, and LSU and Vandy are fighting hard so far..

Earel...DITTO!!!:P

Yeah. I also took art and horsemanship. :)

SyFy still plays Doctor Who at like 4a.m. on Friday morning. It isn't every Friday, but it is still on the channel.

And thank you to everyone who explained about "mortereve"! :)

Hey,MissAravis! How are you doing?

I'm PrinceCor, though most everyone calls me Cor. Nice to meet you. :)

Nice to meet you too! I'll call you Cor then, if you don't mind. :)

Hi Narnia Girl! Your avatar is lovely! Same furniture for sixteen years...sounds very familiar. ;)) That's great you're getting some new things!

Hi Ruby: The voice of utter nonsense? *is appalled* :p What kind of dance do you do?

*Waves to malkah* Hi, malkah! My name is Edmund P! It's nice to meet you! *Extends hand for greeting* :)

*shakes it* It's nice to meet you! :)

I wish we had a hobbit smiley. Now, how would that look? With suspenders, furry feet, and a tossled head of hair ... and holding eating some mushrooms!

I'm not of the hobbity kind, but that smiley would be plain amazingness. :-o

I'm ForeverFan, but, most people call me Fanny or F2, or FF, but you can call me whichever you like. :)

I like Fanny! :) I know this is probably not where you got your nickname, but have you ever read Mansfield Park?

Well, we're watching the USC/Ohio St. football game tonight, and halftime's over, so I better go!

Right. Because I'm going to go get up at 4 a.m. to watch a television show...

have you ever read Mansfield Park?

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I just had to put my two cents in. I'm in the middle of re-reading Mansfield Park and watched the last portion of the movie this afternoon while pretending to do my grades.

:-o Look! I've posted twice in one month! In one day, even! ;) ;))

Awww, thanks for the congrats everyone. :)

Winter, you're not alone. I often think of it as "mortreve" as well. B-) Morning, afternoon, evening, and mort, for the really dark part of the day. ;)

I don't know the bunny song! Your bunny song singing has no effect on me-he! *is apparently feeling silly today* 8-} Since I'm feeling silly, I think I'll mention that I dreamed about Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy last night. And I don't even read Harry Potter... Certain people (whom we won't mention but their initials are B-O-O-K-W-Y-R-M) must be a bad influence. :p

*waves back to EP* I've been doing quite well, thank you. Yourself? :) (My biggest gripe with the latest Indiana Jones movie is that it was

Spoiler
ants. Ants! We'd already had bugs in Temple of Doom. *sigh* I think it should have been piranhas. Then we'd've had reptiles, insects, mammals, and fish.
I rolled my eyes at the aliens, but I don't watch too many movies anyway so it wasn't like I'd already seen several variations on the same theme before, and the rest of it was nicely done.)

*repeats to self* I will not get sucked into the Town Square again, I will not get sucked into the Town Square again, I will not...*

Hi everyone. ;) Have been busy with classes, choir, Awana, One Year Adventure Novel, etc etc etc...

I think my sister (JealousOfTheMoon) is finally going to start posting on NW!!! She was on the old one for a while, well, she had an account, but never really did anything with it. I'm trying to get her into the Town Square!!! :) *grins deviously*

:-o JealousOfTheMoon is your sister?! I love her Narnia fanfiction! It's hilarious. When I first found her FF.net account (can't remember how) I remember thinking how she MUST be a NWer because she acted so very like one, but I couldn't place her. (Some people are born Narniawebbish and some have Narniawebishness thrust upon them. You and your sister and MissAdventure and malkah and Betsie and someone else I cannot remember at the moment come to mind for the latter category. I most certainly was not, but that's ok. ;)) )

Oh, that's too bad! Do you watch Doctor Who, regularly? (Or as often as you can with it not being on your SyFy channel?)

SyFy still plays Doctor Who at like 4a.m. on Friday morning. It isn't every Friday, but it is still on the channel.

Right. Because I'm going to go get up at 4 a.m. to watch a television show...

Ha, agreed. (The fact that we don't even own a TV helps here as well.) There's this wonderful thing called Youtube... :D

(I've actually only seen four or five episodes of DW and probably won't watch any more because there are SO MANY and I don't have enough life to spare. :P Plus no more of the first season because of the massive amounts of innuendo. But I did like most of what I saw...and "Blink" was smashing...and "Silence in the Library" sounds good, Winter. Which means I might have to watch it. Oh dear...oh dear. :P)

I hate to have to follow all the awesome TAN stories, but I've got some pretty cool news too. B-) Check this out! It still seems unreal, but... that's me. That's my art. :D/

That. Is. Awesome. I saw that a few days ago but had no idea it was you! And you've met her? Coolness. (I like your name, by the way. Also you have redeemed its connotation in my small mind, because the only Cassandra I currently know is an emo-goth-ish chain-wearing type girl. Though she's an artist too. Hmm.)

Mortereve all!

This is a very quick ketchup post, because I don't have much time.

That's awesome, Ruby! I wish my Bible was signed by the Gaither Vocal Band. ;)) Btw I like your TAN avatar, it's beautiful! :D

Yes, I did make the first post yesterday, MA. :p So what have you been up to?

I'm doing great, thanks, Kk! What have you been doing lately?

EP, one thing I don't like about braces is that you can't have bubblegum. :( I always missed having gum when I had braces.

Jane Eyre sounds cool, EP. I ought to read it sometime. Well, I've been rereading The Bones of Makaidos from the Oracles of Fire series by Bryan Davis lately. :D They're really good.

Thanks, johobbit! :) We had a great time yesterday. And, we had the popcorn with the movie. :p

Yes, but my mom will probably have me wait till I'm a teenager to see it, FF. Pretty well, thanks. Yeah, I'm excited about the new furniture - it'll definitely make our living room look a lot different. ;))

Thank you, malkah! I like your sig. :)

Hello Alyosha! How are you doing? What's wrong with getting sucked into the Town Square? :p

Well, we had a great time yesterday at my grandparents'. :D We made an Oreo cookie cake, which turned out very good, and then we had popcorn and watched a movie down in their basement. :p Gtg get breakfast now...mortereve!
