Are you in the middle of Till We Have Faces now? (Since I'm such a blockhead, tell me about The Reading Group, so I don't have to find out for myself.) What do you think of it? C.S.Lewis is superb. But I guess that goes without saying? I read The Great Divorce recently.

No, not quite the middle. Actually, we just had to read the first 3 chapters by yesterday, so not too many. We're not really very far yet. I've read it twice before actually. Once when I was 8 or 9 since I was curious. Once when I was 11 or 12 because it confused me the first time. And now once again because I still can't remember all of it, and I don't quite have in my mind what I think of it yet. I think it was at least beyond me the first time. Now I'd probably be able to judge whether I actually like it or not. The Greek Mythology type stuff was always a bit weird to me though... Since that's what the book centers on (from what I can remember... *shrug*) we'll see what I think at the end I guess.

Thanks for the explanation on your blog about getting a copy of the book, by the way! So if it's your NaNoNovel then they don't really care if it's a few months late? (For getting a free copy?) If I understood you correctly.

So on September 19 I will be going on a six night cruise!
I will be going with 3 of my brothers two of my sister-in-laws one of my sisters and my Grandma, and maybe some others!
This will be tremendously fun! I can not wait!

so you have 11 kids in all in your family? There's a family at our church with 12, and one with 11, and two with 10. We have pretty big families at our church, seeing as ours is one of the smallest .

Ok lets do the math here 8 older siblings + 3 younger siblings = 11 + me = 12 Hehe... Oh wow! That is quite the church with big families! Two of my brothers married into a family (the same family) with 12 children also!... So we have 9 boys and 3 girls and the other family has 9 girls and 3 boys just the opposite of us!

Fun about you going to Colorado, but I already knew that . Man, I wish you had the time to come up here and paint our house. My dad says we have to do it before our next exchange student comes and he says he doesn't want to have a painting party b/c then no work gets done so we'll have to do it aaall by ourselves .

school, school, and more school are still occupying my time. *sighs* And the rain isn't helping to improve my melancholy mood, although it has provided some relief from the heat, thank goodness. So, how is everyone today?

A Mysterious Stranger.....I think I remember which one that is, but my brain is fried. As for other ones I like, I like Focus on the Family Radio Theatre's dramas, and I've heard a few episode of Gunsmoke. And when I was younger we listened to Down Gilead Lane a lot.

Is it new, or famous, or just a random play that your theater decided to do? And is it a mystery? It sounds like one.

It's a random play that the Drama Club at school decided to do. It's not a mystery, unfortunately, because I like mysteries. It's about a group of high school kids who are rehearsing for Romeo and Juliet. At the beginning of the play, the guy playing Romeo (Chris) is hitting on the girl playing Juliet (Patty). The assistant director (Maggie, and she also plays Lady Capulet) is in charge of the rehearsal of Act Three, Scene Five of Romeo and Juliet while the director is out getting props. Patty doesn't like Maggie, Chris isn't really into it, Lisa (the prompter, I played her) is being picky about the lines, and the rehearsal falls apart. Through the course of the play, Chris discovers that he can act, and that it's Maggie he likes, not Patty. We decided to do that one because we toured it around to the area high schools and we thought they'd like it.
