Mortereve, all!

For those of who who don't already know (pretty much everyone except my FB friends)... I have news! The Rosario Household has been enlarged. :) We now have a new kitten! *squeal* (Interestingly, she looks almost identical to 'Momo'). ;)) We're so crazily excited --- well, minus our other cat. ;) Hopefully he'll accept her with time.

We're still deciding on the perfect name. ;) PR suggested 'Sofie', which seems to fit quite well. 'Momo' and possibly 'Athena' are being considered as well. ;)

Anyhow. It's terribly exciting. :)

I do believe more people have changed their avatars today then--I don't know. But I've had to take second glances a LOT of times, to see who was posting. Hehe.

I noticed that, too. I guess the new trailer was just too tempting, eh? ;)) Speaking of which, I should be changing mine soon.... hmm.

Yup, Louise, t'would appear so. And yes.... seven pounds was quite a loss (at least for me). I didn't have a good deal to begin with. :| ;))

O-ho, how fun! *would LOVE to attend* Do let me know if one ever gets planned somewhere around here. ;)

I think a huge ceremony (complete with mournful music) would be a wonderful way to say goodbye to your dear (*cough cough*) splint...mayhaps you could always bury it later, when you're sure you won't need it or something. ;) How did your string workshop go? :) ;)

Yes, indeed! It will be 'officially' taken care of one of these days. (And you can be sure that it will be a most grand and festive *tearful* occasion). ;) My workshop went wonderfully... thanks for asking! :) I had a fantastic time with my old friends (most of which I hadn't seen for a year) as well as making new ones. I learned quite a lot, gained more experience, and had a wonderful concluding concert (where I actually ended up leading my group in the piece and having a solo -- exciting!). So yes... it was indeed a week to remember! [/end of ramble]

*agrees with Cor['b]'s thoughts on the trailer* AND. Thank-you most kindly (this goes to Vern, too) for opening the Ditto Town Pool. :) Very thoughtful, considering what the weather's been like recently.

Most people seem to assume that he is green for some reason.

With pink ridges along his back? Yuuuupp.... those were my first thoughts. :| (Except maybe the ridges were red.... or purple... I can't remember. Sorta a Barney-looking dragon.) Anyway. No offense intended at all, dear Vern. ;) *sends a to make up for the painful remark*

*waves to malkah* Woww. What a... post...! *blinks* Just how long did it take you to do all that? (And you're not the only person who dislikes heat. Heh. Join the club!) ;))

And I wouldn't mind PMing you a recording in the least. :) (I had my first violin lesson this morning since... about three months. Whew! It's going to be a lot of work.) ;)) But, mind you, I'm not much of a violinist... Just so you aren't expecting anything extremely impressive or spectacular. ;))

Oh. My. Goodness. He is brilliant. :D That is unbelievably awesome that you get to go! I'd love to hear all about it when you do! (It'll ease the jealousy. ;)) )

Indeed, indeed! I'm so excited (to put it... erm... mildly). And yes, believe me: there will be a huge long rambling jumble of paragraphs about the concert in the Town Square when I return. ;)) ;))

Annnd... that concludes my catch-up post! My feet (especially toes) have apparently become a new set of prized, high-quality chewing toys for Miss Kitty. Oh, joy. ;) ;))

Anyway, have a wonderful weekend! *skedaddles*

I LOVE THE VotDT TRAILER! :D
it was so awesome! I screamed for joy when I first saw it! :D :D :D :D

lol you screamed? :P

It is hot, hot, hot here! :-o We've had upper 90s this whole week, and we're only halfway through June! :(( (<---sweating, distressed face) Other than that, there's not too much going on. We had my graduation party a few days ago, which was a lovely time, with all sorts of dear people I hadn't seen in forever. :) It's really sad that it takes your graduation, wedding, or funeral to bring everyone you care about together. And you don't even get to attend the funeral. :( ;))

It has been so hot here also!
You just graduated?

That's great! :) So is this a family business or are you doing it on your own? And I'm curious; what's the paint color you use the most? ;))
Well, I've been concentrating on getting into the swing of things at work. And I'm trying to start my summer reading! :)

It's a family business :)
Definitely and Tan/beige color, for some reason we do that all the time!

Well, despite

Spoiler
Marian getting killed off
, I thought perhaps the people who made such an awesome two seasons could still be somewhat trusted. Needless to say, I was wrong. :|
I was just going to comment that
Spoiler
Guy's inner struggles intensify quite a bit. There's actually glimmers of redemption in him. Another reason the ending makes no sense--season 1 Guy might have killed Marian, but season 2 would never have.

When it actually happened

Spoiler
(Marian getting killed), it was not near as hard to bear as I thought, for I knew it was going to happen and I thought I would be very mad at whoever mad the seasons! lol

It does seem that people that made such good first two seasons would do better, but I was told they did far worse, so I did not even watch the third season.

Aww, thank you, Ben! I had an amazing birthday! :)

Your Welcome! Glad you had a good day!

Mortereve, all!

Momo? Where may I ask did you get that name?
Me and some of my brothers and sister-in-law, call my nephew "Momo". That is why your post stood out to me ;))

That's quite a few, eh? Did it go well, all in all? (I rather forget if I've asked that already)

It sounds like all your sewing projects are lovely! :) :) I hope they are going well?

Yep, that was quite a few. ;)) It was mostly couples from our church, but a few from another church in the area as well. :) And yes, it went quite well!! I heard someone say that they thought it went as well as it could go--so it must have gone really, really well. ;))
Yes, my sewing projects are going well. :D I hope to finish a blouse on Monday when Mom holds a sewing class here!
I've really been enjoying summer as well. :D Yesterday we went to a graduation a few hours away--didn't get home until 1:00 this morning. ;)) My first thought when I woke up this morning was "YIKES! It's 11:00???" I haven't slept that late in two years. Actually, probably 3 or 4. I forget which year it was. ;)) 2006 I think. *laugh* Not like it really matters.

Well, glad you finally realized they were my parents.

;)) Heh heh, yeah. Might've been somewhat awkward at some point if I stuck my foot in my mouth. :p So you don't have any siblings? Or...?

By the way, did you ever see Earth when it was in theaters?

Re: Robin Hood: I think the...unusual name for the uploads is so no one else tries to take them down. ;)) I can't answer for their taste in names, though. ;)) Anyways, hope you enjoy whenever you're able to watch them!
And happy many-days-late-five-year-anniversary!

Nope, I didn't. I haven't seen it out of theaters either... Have you?
Yeah, I figured that might be why they had the odd names. ;)) And it was probably smart of them to do so. :p
Thanks!! :D Anything new with you?

Must go practice piano and violin and make a salad for tomorrow... ;)) Talk to you all later! :D

*Lady Amalthea enters the Square, intrigued by all the chatter*

Everyone keeps talking about a Narnia trailer.... Has Queen Lucy and King Edmund started a new business venture? Selling travel trailers, are they? Perhaps King Lune and I should look into buying one. I'm sure they would be most fit for royalty! I'm not sure what we would do about Vern, though....

*cough/ahem**Madam, it's a MOVIE trailer, not a moving trailer. It's a short clip with scenes from an upcoming movie about the Narnian's adventures.*

Oh. Well that's different. Although I must agree with our dear friend Bilbo the last time he visited. What did he say? "Adventures are nasty things. Make one late for supper!" Something like that. An adventure might be worth it if there was chocolate involved. Lots and lots of chocolate, mind you.

*watches the movie trailer for Voyage of the Dawn Treader*

Well, I must say, if all adventures are that quick then I'm all for it!

*Lady Amalthea heads back to Anvard by way of the chocolate tree which is in serious need of being relieved of it's fruits. The Lady happily responds to it's need.*

You know, Narrator, it does look like Queen Lucy and King Edmund had a delightful time....

*Yes, m'lady....*

Perhaps the King and I should try to....

*NO!! ahem, No m'lady. You are far too busy here. The tapestries, you know.*

Ah, yes. The tapestries. Poor Vern. I'm afraid the King does go on about that sometimes. I think they've made up over it though. I saw them roasting marshmallows in the backyard the other night. A rumor got out that they were roasting marsh wiggles, but that was just a rumor. I think.

*The Lady and the Narrator exit the Square chatting about bar-be-ques.*

oh yeah you're in EST too. I didn't watch it til 11:00 am the next morning :-s :p . Um, it was ok. Some parts I really loved but others I HATED. I really liked how they get in to Narnia (except that ship is too small in the painting), I like the magician's book, dufflepuds and Lilliandil until she turned in to a star 8-| . Here's my reaction as I watched it

Ok I'm still in a HUGE state of shock right now. And I"m shaking. So hard I can barely type/ So please excuse any typos or stupid things I write.

My thoughts while watching the trailer:

1. Why is Edmund making me think of Peter in the beginning of PC?
2. Wow Lucy looks so much older! (which is a pretty good thing :) )
3. Painting! Amazing and...EUSTACE!!! :D
4. Wow totally great entrance in to Narnia :D

I am well, thank you! And yourself? How are things for you?

Soo.... we had a bit of a scare today. Little kitty somehow escaped from her bathroom prison while we were out-to-eat, met up with Big Kitty, and... PR and I walked in to find flowers and papers scattered across the table, the bathroom door open, and a very angry cat on my bed. Not a pretty sight. Fortunately the kitten was okay, though, and Chico didn't do anything to her. *sigh*

Anyway.

Hullo,Ben! Umm... I'm not sure where the name came from. Momo is a cat I sometimes bring with me to the Square, and I think the name... actually, I have no idea where it came from. ;)) And that's neat about your nephew, Momo! I don't think I've met anyone with that name in real-life before. ;))

You mom cried upon seeing the trailer, Liberty? Wow... you guys must've really been excited. ;))

*waves to Lady A* Greetings! Oh, by the way... did you ever find new tapestries? Just curious, because I saw some in town the other day that would be absolutely perfect for the castle, I'm sure. Buuuuut.... if Vern decided to have another go at them... t'would be a pity. ;)

It is hot, hot, hot here! We've had upper 90s this whole week, and we're only halfway through June! (<---sweating, distressed face) Other than that, there's not too much going on.

I understand about the heat! It's been in the upper nineties this while week. #:-s Talk about sweat and heat. We had to slip in the air conditioners yesterday. It's again hot today. Tomorrow is supposed to have heat indexes of up to 102 so we'll see if you we don't melt. ;) We're filling our pool today though which is great. Maybe we can get some swimming done! :D I'm a water person. Though this heat really has rolled in the storms. They've been extremely bad this month. I hope they calm down. How have you been? ;;)

Now....*drumroll* My thoughts on the trailer were: SHEAR JOY!!!!! :D The night it came out I was bouncing off the walls and squealing. My brother was laughing at me and trying to get me to calm down but it was impossible. Me and my best-friend talked in caps through our chat the whole time. I really loved it. There were not really any parts I disliked. ( aside maybe from the RD ones) but it was an awesome trailer!

Well that's it for now! Have a nice day all ye square onions *disappears with the Narnia theme playing behind here* I'm off to work on RP's!

Greetings, one and all! I have missed you! I'm glad to be back, and I mean to post in Style! (Which means a lot of italicization.)

So I was looking back, and I find that I haven't posted in the Town Square (minus my hiccough last week) since December. The last time I posted anything substantial (and everything I post seems to have this need to be substantial) was around Easter. About A Conspiracy of Kings, I take it.

And here is a Scary Thing: I am afraid I don't remember all of those names I made up for you!!!

But anyway, I shall attempt to recover, since you are all so kind.

Balustrade the First! Greetings to you, Kind Sir, and many thanks for your felicitous welcome!

Mel! *squeezes her a little too hard* I've missed my dear auntie. However, I have been spending a little time with the Auntie Mel in my novel. But that's nothing like the real thing.
And here are pictures of that exciting volume! (Not that the story is... just the physicality of the book is.) I love Djaq's cover so much! My sympathy for your priorities.
My summer is going nicely. I keep waiting for it to start. :) I say to myself, "After I finish my school work;" and then, "after I do this;" and then, "after I backup the 16,000 pictures on our computer," which is what I am doing right now. (And there really are that many pictures. I did not fabricate that number.)
People saying "What is going on this summer/week/day/year/since I saw you?" always confuzzles me excessively, so I much prefer your questions about Sewing and Sights. (Those are questions I know how to answer.)
As to sewing, I can tell you that I have been doing a lot. I've finished three dresses since I began my hiatus, I believe, and am now designing (simultaneously) a blouse (named The Family Reunion Top) and a purse. Oh, and I designed and made a hat! (It looks like something Auntie Mel would have worn. Sort of cloche-ish.) I mean to post pictures of everything I've made on my blog, one of these days, and if One of These Days ever comes, I'll let you know. :)
As to sights, Destined and I went to Galena, Illinios for a lovely celebration of her birthday. It's a beautiful town, and we had a beautiful time. (U.S. Grant lived there, and started his campaign for president there. And all of the buildings are made out of this adorable, red, untidy brick.)
Have your Priorities allowed for any artistic pursuits or triumphal travels? I enjoyed your pompous poem. :)

Some like it hot
Some like it cold
Some like it in the pot
Nine days old!

I hope, GtG, that you are one of the last set, because I give you very happy birthday wishes in a pot, nine days old!

Hi, Miss Rosario! (I never did come up with a name for you, did I? Would you want one?) I'm sorry about your lack of luck at the library! (Alliteration!!!) I've had some. Well, I really just ordered them, and my dad brought them home, so I guess it's not the same boat at all. (Them, meaning: Instead of Three Wishes, by Megan Whalen Turner, and The Secret Adversary, by Agatha Christie, which is, pathetically, in Large Print.) But, I have lots of things to read... and I just finished Persuasion and Stepping Heavenward. The first was excellent, and I do believe is now my favorite Austen. The latter was of a lower quality of writing, but it really challenged me in a lot of areas, so I am thankful for it. It's been about a year and a half since I read any Ted Dekker, but I did really like him. My mom wanted me to spend my energies on deeper literature. Not sure that I did....

Jojo!!! Thank you! I love strawberries! I'm not sure how we are, but I know that I am doing splendidly. (At least, since you arrived with those strawberries. Mind if I have another? I thought so.) *takes one anyways*

(That Betsie one is known for her greediness.)
(I love your avvie. My family just watched Emma '09 with me, and they loved it. :) I think. Undemonstrative boys don't usually tell you all that much about Austen movies.)

Hey, you BellaNotFromTwilight! I've missed you.

Queen Susan! I am happy to see youuuuuuuu! (Thank you for your consideration! ) If you want to see my book.... go up there ^ (yes, way up there) and click on the link I gave to Mel.
(Jealous... I love babies, too!)
I'll try to convince Destined to come around, but I'm not sure how much real influence I have....

*waves to johobbit* We're doing our hobbit birthdays again, this year. :D

Fanny... Where are you? I'm sure you have all sorts of interesting things to tell me. Like, where Alberta really is.

*curtsies demurely to PrinceCor* Destined told me about when you were reading Emma, and I was decently mortified. What if I had called you Mr. Bennet instead?!
(Hey, Vern! What's up? 'Sides the proverbial sky. Not that you would ever say that. But, well, my brother has gotten that stuck in my head.)

Fanny: Thank you, I did pretty well on my finals overall.

Which I promptly read as:
"I did pretty well on my final overalls."
(I like overalls. I guess I have a propensity for them?)

Djaq
and flam, I miss you!

I'm frightfully sorry if I missed anyone. Just make a scene, or something, and I'll probably notice you....

*waves merrily to all* Goodbye!
