Liberty- I'm sure you'll do fine! I'll pray for you about them, if you'd like! (the tests, that is. oh, and try not to gloat in your friends faces too much about getting done first. I know that the younger kids 'round here got increasingly annoyed whenever the seniors would go "haha, i'm done and you still have to go" )
Welcome home, to those of you who had been on vacations! You had safe and fun trips, I trust? And two new stuffed dragons, Lucy? You gonna call one of them "Eustace"?
Anyway, could you lot pray that 1) I feel better and 2) I will start being more productive and on a better sleep schedule? I had been doing well, but then the last few months it's gone downhill... (in terms of sleeping pattern and productivity on my chores)
and I really hate this "stuffy nose, lightheaded, headache-y" feeling I've got today. I swear, I was fine yesterday! It's so weird...
Anyway, I'd really appreciate it! (prayer, that is)
Princess Anna: please pray! thanks
don't worry, I don't gloat about school to my friends. I used to when I was little, but my parents disiplined me out of it

Isn't that something, though?
I mean, it's good for me, in that I get out of the house. And get job experience. (something I haven't had much of, even at my age) Add to that the fact that I just love babies and children, so it's really fun!
But what makes it even better is that it helps that mommy out! ...
I love kids too . I have two younger siblings and I love them to bits!
I'm glad this job seems like it will work well for you, and that you will be able to serve the mom too .

I can't speak for her, or anyone else for that matter. But I can speak for myself:
When I would do that, it wasn't because I disliked the book I was reading. But sometimes I'd need a break (for whatever reason), so I'd go to one I'd been reading previously, or start another one, or reread an old fave. Maybe it was my ADD spilling over into my reading. But my focus wouldn't always stay on the story, no matter how much I loved it. So, maybe I was just waiting so I could give it the proper attention it deserved. I always ended up finishing them all. (that said, when I'd read the Narnia ones, I'd read whichever one I was reading, in one sitting) But yeah, I would quit even in the middle of my favourites in favour of another, sometimes...
Didn't mean I loved them any less. Great, now you'll think I'm crazy...

I'm almost done with it and and so I don't think I will change my mind

Haha good. I just started re-reading it yesterday. ForeverFan and I are re-reading it together. I love it just as much as I remember .
Sure but only the weird ones
...JOKE! I like playing with you like that
But still it shows that you are not liking it that much if you are reading a book then put it down to read another... You must say that is true mustn't you?
Hey I'm not weird! Ok, well I guess a little . Hehe yeah it's fun, and it's good we can do it without getting offeneded. I have friends who get offended at the littlest things...including my sisters
..so it's good I have you to teast, and you me
.
Well that depends. Sometimes I'll put down a book b/c I think it's boring and I'll finish it when I've given it a break. But the usual reason I read more than one book at a timeis b/c I don't have time to just take my sweet time reading one. I'm reading three books for school right now, two for a book/Bible study, and three for my pleasure plus! two "mom picks", which are books that my mom has me read every three books I choose. B/c she thinks I don't read good books . So these are the books I'm currently reading
Affliction by Edith Schaffer
The Odyssey by Homer
The God Who is There by Frances Schaffer
Desiring God by John Piper
The Lost Art of True Beauty by Leslie Ludy
The Two Towers by you-know-who
The Bell at Sealey Head by Patricia A. McKillip
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Hornblower and the Crisis by C.S. Forester
The Life Lessons of Daniel Webster by Daniel Webster
TMI . So I suppose out of all those I could give Sealey Head a break and concentrate on reading all the others, but I like variety
. Hm, if this doesn't make sense you'll think I'm even more weird
.

*waves back to Aiden* How have you been lately? Enjoying the spring weather?
I've been great, thanks! I would be enjoying the spring weather if we were having spring weather... Unfortunately, we've been having unbearably hot summer-type weather. How's the weather where you live?
Oooh, NN, I enjoyed The Speckled Band: creeepy and very exciting! Of course, I don't think there is a Sherlock Holmes story I don't like!
Glad you liked it! Speaking of which, I went to a play that a friend of mine was in. It was The Hound of the Baskervilles, a great Sherlock Holmes novel. Have you read that one?
Ah yes, I seem to recall Bart's numerous quotes and short answers now.
Whereas Orious would just write and write and write. Both styles fun to read ...
Yup, exactly. Ara's were more Bart's style, while you did some of each.
*celebrates Aiden's last day of school for this year* (But not with chocolate
) How about with ... a bouquet of fruit?
I appreciate the lack of chocolate! The bouquet looks delicious!
*waves back*
Congratulations on being done with school for the summer!

Thanks! When did/do you finish?
We missed a little part...She says "Oh, Abigail, please.", and then he says "Abigail. Thank you for agreeing to meet with me.", then the line you said...I'll go ahead and do the next part since what I just said is irrelevant.
"Is there any news?" I think.![]()
Ok, I'm going to watch it this time to make sure I get it right. "Well, we actually found some latent letter fragments. Take a look."
Good line!
"Where have you been for the last few hundred years?" PC. (yeah, modified quotes work great.
)
Thanks. "Hiding! Come on!" Riley, NT1.
How long have you had it up?
And what made you think of it?
![]()
Not long before you noticed it. I have a love of long and interesting words.
@ NN. Thanks! I thought it was and everyone that I've talked agrees that it's a good plan. So, I guess it is.
Yes and it's the only score that earned him an Oscar.
![]()
Yes and it's only slightly better than Titanic. Basically Avatar is "Horner's Greatest Hits" with pretty much everything he's ever done thrown into one score.
I did a review of it on my Blog if you are interested.
![]()
Well, I wish you luck!
Really? That's weird. It's everything he's ever done thrown into one score? Isn't that every score of his? Alright, if I get a chance I'll read your review.
Um, well this is my first time. I just started The Two Towers. I do find it very interesting but it's a book that I like to read slowly. Haha me too
.
Hmm, lucky
. I need to concentrate more on my school work, b/c I would really like to graduate early, not b/c I don't like school, but just b/c I would like to ahve time to do other things.
![]()
Ok, this is my first time, too. I've only read The Fellowship, so I'd start with The Two Towers when I begin reading again.
Gotcha, that's understandable. I don't really care about when I graduate; though, like I said, it'll be a year before most people my age.
I am indeed!
I'm very excited; it's going to be sooo nice to have everything finished. Since you wrote this about two weeks ago, I'm guessing you're nearly done, then? That's great!
And I love when classes finish early and you get to start shedding them.
EDIT: I see you posted you're done! Hurrah!![]()
Great! Do you have any plans after graduation?
Yup, I finished just last Thursday. Mmmhmm, I started the year with 6 classes, but the last few weeks of school, I only have a couple. The joys of homeschooling.
Oh dear, are we that predictable?
Maybe it's time to move on to...cricket?
Ah, I see. The Patriots had a good first few rounds; they got quite a lot of defensive help, which was definitely their greatest need. I'm looking forward to seeing how that works out next season!
And I'm very excited! All the moreso because I was completely shocked that they picked him.
It'll be interesting to see how he does, though; the Broncos offense is quite different from what he was running at Florida.
lol, not cricket! Although that would be better than soccer or hockey.
Yeah, I've caught up on all the news, and it looks like the Pats did well in the draft.
I know the Patriots were looking at Tim Tebow, but they don't need another quarterback! So, do you see Tim Tebow becoming the "franchise quarterback" that you didn't feel Kyle Orton could be? Even if it takes a couple years for Tebow to get the feel of things, it'll be worth it.
I've seen both 1 and 2, but I've only seen about half of Season 3, plus the finale. I couldn't force myself to watch anymore.
![]()
So yes, skipping it is an excellent idea. I hope you can watch season 2 soon!
Allan's great, isn't he? He's so funny, especially when he's "not being funny".How much do you know about season 2? I'm wondering what I can safely say about Guy.
![]()
I see. I'm surprised you even started watching Season 3, but maybe you knew nothing about it when you started.
Oh yeah, that's why Allan's my favorite character.
I know a lot about Season 2 (I read all the spoilers), and even if you say something I don't know, I won't care.
Okay!
The race is on.
![]()
![]()
We've started Season 3. Where are you guys?
*waves to LL* Good to see you! Boy, do you just have a perpetually problematic computer? Seems like back when you were here all the time, you were constantly having problems then, too.
NN95, yes, my orthodontist says that I have to wear the retainer for the rest of my life. He said that my mouth "has a memory" and could go back to the way it used to be, once I get my braces off. I thought that sounded a little odd, but I don't know anything much about teeth anyway.
![]()
That makes sense, although usually at some point your mouth gets used the way it is (that's why most people don't have to wear retainers for life). Apparently the older you are, the longer you have to wear a retainer. Still, it's strange you have to wear one for life.

I'm almost always reading more then one book. As long as the genres or plots are fairly different, I've never had a problem with it. If I'm reading a book that requires more thoughtful reading, I'll sometimes set it aside for a little while in order to read a "lighter" book and soak up more of the "deeper" one. I don't find it to have any bearing on how good or bad either book is. Not all books are made to be gobbled up in speedy reading.
Ooh! Ali, The Bell at Sealey Head is absolutely lovely! How are you liking it so far? What other McKillip's have you read?
