My, but the Square moved slooowwwwwly this weekend!
Good grief, Louise the Second, I always fill up on Olive Garden's delectable salad and warm, cozy, garlic-y breadsticks before the main meal comes, as well. Wonderfully tasty and scrumptious! Glad you had a good time.
Whoa, that little kitten link is so adorable, and kind freaky, too.
Really? You and sweeet have never officially 'met' here before? I'm glad you have now, because I rather think you two would 'hit it off' well.
BuBbLyLu, thank you for the lovely declaration!
Hello CSLN! Loverly to see you here again. *curtsies*
Well, I had promised Vern some treats from a special party I was at yesterday (the release party for the Tolkien-based journal with which I am involved - see my sig), soooo, dear Vern, here are some of the delicious leftovers. Please share some with the Royal Family. And the rest of you SquareOnions may have some as well (as long as Vern doesn't eat 'em all ).
~Macaroni and cheese
~braided bread with a hard-boiled egg in the centre
~Taco dip with Tostitos
~Cherry tomatoes
~Fresh pineapple tidbits
~Ferraro Rocher, only a whole tray like this.
~And the biggest hit (which has now become a traditon) Chocolate Fudge Cake
There was more, as well, but I'm getting wearied of linking. So, ENJOY!
I'm just glad I didn't come home weighing 50 more pounds.

Mortereve all!
*chuckles* I think Glenstorm wrote the part about dating, Nick.
But that's fine, only a misquote.
![]()
Yes, I know. Sorry.
Well, science finals are over, at least.
I still have the math and history coming up, but that's okay. They don't last for four days each.
So what subject is your least favorite?
It certianly does feel like it. But, maybe it's because I look forward to it at the end of summer instead of wishing it was only the beginning of summer. (Not that I don't enjoy vacation, but, "there is a time to have vacation and there is a time to have school"
)
Lol, I hear you! Everything is beginning to slow down here. What are your plans for the summer?
Mm, that's true
We really don't have any specific plans, except we'll go down south to visit my grandmother like we do every year. Other than that, we don't really have anything planned. How about you guys?
My, but the Square moved slooowwwwwly this weekend!

Mortereve all! Well, not much happened at the Royal Castle over the weekend. It was mostly a nice, quite last few days for us. I hope everyone else had a good weekend that met ya'lls various requirements for being a good one?
*The Prince and Dragon take their seats at the fountain munching on some chocolate*
Alright, time for a catch-up post:
--------------------------------------
@ Ruby. *waves back to Ruby* Yes, sometimes the foods Vern likes are rather... strange to say the least.
*waves back to AslansCountry*
@ QueenSusan. You forgot me....
Kidding!
@ Jo. Hmm, you like John Williams War of the Worlds? Very few people seem to like that one since it's mostly minimalist "creepy" scoring.
*I agree miss Jo. I do wonder why Cor passed on trying one of these delectable ants. Their much better cooked than raw. *
Heh, I'm just not keen on eating bugs, Vern. Besides, Lady A probably wouldn't like to know I had eaten an insect.... on purpose.
*Well, you could just smother it in ketchup. *
Hmm, you do have a point there.....
About the large quantities of chili: Well, we have a large garden behind the castle and then there are several local farmers who grow various beans near by.
@ Lucy. Thanks! It's definitely in my top three favorite Pixar films.
@ Mel. Well, it was kind of hard to tell from The Rocketeer since it's suppose to be kind of a cheesy thing to begin with. She didn't come across as too stiff or detracted from the scenes she was in. Soo, I guess she's a good actress.
Also, I finally watched Labyrinth over the weekend. It's a very.... strange film. Kind of a cross between Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz and a bunch of new ideas. It's more of a comedy than anything else, even in the "serious" scenes it's goofy. Though some of that may not have been intentional.....
@ Ali. Heh, potatoes are definitely some of the best and most versatile foods.
@ NN. It's one of those films that people seem to really like, but you hardly hear anything about it. Unlike, say Titanic.
I think you would like them. Hope you can get them soon!
@ Rose. Quite welcome! *hopes Rose likes what she saw/read....*
Yay! Someone who seconds my feelings on Up!
@ Ella. Oh yes, quite! From what I've heard of Michael (insert last confusing name here) work, I really like his versatile style. Up was a very pleasant surprise all the way around.
@ Jo, again. Ooh! Oooh!!! The promised treats!!!
*Cor and Vern eagerly look over the great spread*
*O.K, I'm taking the Mac'n cheese, pineapple, some of the cake.*
Very well. I'll take the dip (with chips) and the chocolate cake and the Ferraro Rochers.
*The Prince and Dragon make sure to leave enough for the other Square Onions*
Oh wow..... This dip is amazing! As is the chocolate fudge cake!! Thank you SO much, Jo!!!!
*Marf tis Good!!! *swallows* Thanks very, very muchly miss Jo!!!
*
----------------------------------
Well, I better get back to the castle. Talk with ya'll later!!

*bounces in* Hellooooo, all! Wow, the Square has been moving slowly lately.
Heh, Louise, my thoughts exactly. Kittens are so cute, though... We're hoping to get one soon, because Chico has been pretty lonely. He walks around the house talking to himself, and follows us around begging for attention/company. It's so sad... he really misses his brother.
Eep! That food you brought along looks delicious, and I think I'll nab some of the leftovers. Goodness, I really should come visit you sometime. You can cook for me!
(Oh, and we make some taco bell dip JUST like that at Christmastime. Mmmmm.)
Eh, I'm not really sure, Nick. I don't really hate any particular subject. Math is my hardest, and I definitely don't enjoy certain areas of science (I love biology, though!). But, other than that... What about you?
*reads through Cor's post* Well... not much of anything to reply to.... BUT, since we can't have you feeling bad about not being mentioned.... *thinks* Um, how have you been doing of late? (Lame question, but we'll ignore that.) School still going well? (Unless, of course, you've already finished... )
I've been managing all right, I suppose. Today I took my math final. I studied three days straight for that thing, and it was INSANELY easy. No joke. Ah well... I'm not complaining!
I also took an English final today, and am ALL DONE except for one more test. Hurray!

*dashes into the Square humming "Everything's Going to Turn Out Right" by the Isaacs* Well...mortereve all! I'm back again for ketchup. Gee, the Square was slooow this weekend!
My piano recital was back on Friday evening; everything went really well! My mom made us get there an hour early so she could get a front row seat to videotape me and my siblings.
I was so nervous, but everything turned out great! I hit a couple wrong notes in one of my songs, but other than that it was fine.
It's such a relief that it's finally over!
Next Ranger's Apprentice book comes out tomorrow...I'm really excited. I hope our library gets it soon.
Oh, and now I have a Robin Hood avie/sig set made by flam...I'm really hooked onto Robin Hood now. I keep rewatching it all the time.

NN95, no, you weren't making it up.
I have had braces before, on four of my top teeth. That was it, though.
And your braces are off now, and you have a retainer, correct?
Thank you, johobbit! My braces are working out wonderfully - I don't even notice them anymore.
I know, it would be so neat to trade off sleep with someone else! Too bad sleep is so necessary, lol.
What are you up to these days?
Miss Rose, yeah, it was kind of weird having braces on my middle top teeth. Sometimes the wire would poke against my mouth...that used to annoy me so bad.
I don't understand why I had to get braces on four of my teeth, though, since I have them on all my teeth now. I mean, what was the use of it...?
Aw, I really hope the family reunion works out for you!!

PrinceCor, yeah, I really enjoyed Up! It was a very sweet family film...I just love it. What are some of your other favorite movies?

Good evening all you fellow NarniaWebbers! And welcome to the next hilariously eventful Ruby-Winter hour of utter insanity! Tonight we will be featuring a special guest to be introduced later in the show.
Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
*curtains open and the lights dim*
*KABOOM!!* *A giant lab, full of plants, materializes in the center of the square. Two familiar figures dart about in white lab coats, coughing and beating the flames that threaten to engulf their laboratory.*
Ruby: *cough, gag* I knew there was something fishy about that chemical! Remind me to get rid of the petrol in the storage closet!
Ruby: *looks innocent* I didn't put petrol in the closet! Honest!
*peers into still smoking lab*
Rats! That'll be the last of my botanical experiments! Those poor trees--HEY! One of the trees is floating across the room!!
*giggles can be heard from the direction of said floating tree*
Ruby: *shakes head* There must be something wrong with my ears...or my eyes.
SIS !!! *Falls down and begins to scream, theatrically.*
Ruby: Oh, no! Not again! *gasps dramatically*
SIS: *giggles* This is AWESOME! I've always wanted to be invisible. And what do you know? My explosive invention actually worked. *laughs maniacally* I wonder how much the government will pay me for my secret? I bet I could buy a lot of horse ranches with the millions of dollars I'm going to recieve--
SIS: Ack! No! I wasn't really planning on selling all your secrets to the government, honest! *mutters under breath* Only some of them...
Ruby: *ahem* I heard that! And if I were you I would hand over your explosives and our invisibility potion right this moment! You'll be lucky if we don't set the Square authorities on you.
SIS: NOOO!!! She'll tickle me to death!!! Again!!
Ruby: Well, you should have thought of that before you sneaked into our lab like that and exploded all of our biology experiments!
SIS: Whatever. It was fun, so there!
Ruby: *turns to lab with a long sigh* I guess I'll have to clean up this mess. I'd better hurry it's almost time for dinner.
Thirty minutes later...
Ruby: Phew! Glad I got that mess cleaned up! *surveys clean lab with satisfaction* You know, Winty, we ought to tell all of our fellow NarniaWebbers what we're doing tonight!
Ruby: And like I said, it's dinner time and...
KABOOM!!
Ruby: Whoops...wrong chemical.

Ooh, I haven't been on the computer in a couple of days..
Aslans Country, I had forgotten you're in Japan! Are you bilingual?
Yes, actually. I went to Japanese kindergarten and elementary school.
AslansCountry, hope you're able to watch NT1 and 2 again soon! They're such good movies.
So, what have you been up to?
*mentally adds to list of movies to rent and watch in the summer *
Not much going on, I finish up school in about a month, so lots to do for that, and practices for the school concert.. I'm really looking forward to summer.
You're going on vacation? Lucky! Have a good time.
You pronounce it "ah-ly-sahn-dru".
You mean I actually guessed right?! lol..
CDs are the one thing I'll be patient for
.
..And that is where we have our differences..
lol.
It certainly is a pity, AslansCountry. Well... To clarify, I like onions on and in things. Not raw. Raw onions just by themselves sound nasty.
Another thing I REALLY like is cilantro! Mmmmm. I've met (outside my family) one or two people who love it as well. Now that is sad.
Haha, yeah. Actually, I like partially cooked onions the best - before they loose their taste, IMO. But my mum gives me strange looks when I tell her I would love to just eat the onions that she's cooking right out of the pan.
What can I say? I'm weird.
I actually have no idea what cilantro is.

Ah, that makes sense. I didn't have any classes this year that I particularly hated, either, but I have in the past. Math is typically my hardest, too. As for science, biology would my least favorite part, but I love chemistry! Speaking of which, I'm down to only two classes, which I should finish up in a week or so. How long till you're done?
NN95, no, you weren't making it up.

I have had braces before, on four of my top teeth. That was it, though.
And your braces are off now, and you have a retainer, correct?
Ok, that's what I thought. So you've had a retainer before and you know how uncomfortable it is. Well, hopefully, like I said, the retainer you'll have to wear for life will be a permanent one in which case it wouldn't be so bad.
Yup, that's right! I only have to wear it at night, now, too, so that's nice.
Oh, that sounds fun.
We're having VBS at church, I think maybe a few exciting events or two.
Yup, that's always fun. Oh, yeah, we're having VBS, too. I guess I don't consider that summer plans, since we always have it.

@ Rose. Yes, lame question. We'll ingore it for the present though.. Anyway, I'm doing very well, thanks! School is.... no more!
Finished as of yesterday, so I'm doing exceptionally well in that regard.
Nice avvie, BTW. It looks strangely familiar.... If only I could think of what movie it's from.
@ Lucy. Hmm, let em see... LotR trilogy (Extended versions), Wind and the Lion, Pride & Prejudice 1995, Krull, Son of Paleface, The Quiet Man, Enchanted, Princess Bride, Star Wars Original Trilogy, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Forbidden Planet, The Lemon Drop Kid, Road to Morroco, Court Jester Batman Begins and many more.
@ Ella. I've also heard/seen those films plus he did the music for Star Trek (2009). Yes, I've seen the end credits to Ratatoulle, though it's been awhile.
@ Jo. Heh, nope! Wrong labyrinth. As Mel said, this is a 1986 fantasy film by Jim Henson we're talking about. Though speaking of Pans Labyrinth, I doubt I'll ever see that film. Looks too grisly for me taste.
Then again, this is the guy who wants to see Alien and likes Aliens and Predator (TV edit!).
@ NN. *laugh* It's O.K. We were talking about Legends of the Fall.
@ Mel. I'm afraid I have not seen Dark Crystal, so I can't compare the two. In fact, I really haven't seen anything that I can really compare Labyrinth too. It's a odd little film, best taken as a comedy probably and not a serious film. Besides, I think that was the original intention.... I think.

Huzzah! Bravo and my finest congratulations!
Ok, as I figured. Well, it was definitely worth the $20! Would you consider buying the second series? Have you seen any episodes from it?
I have seen several episodes from it- up to episode seven or eight, I think. I would probably buy it eventually- I'd like to see the rest of the series and all- but only if I could get it for a reasonable price ($20.00-$30.00, in that range).
Ah, that's great! Hopefully we'll get Season 5 soon, but I keep saying that, don't I?
Hmm, yes. And I hope you can get it soon! We're crawling through the season at a snail's pace, but that's alright.
How are things for you? I'm glad to hear that your play went well, that must have been very encouraging.
Life is going really well! Things are not really busy at the moment, but this weekend will be rather hectic. On Thursday, flam and I are going to take a CPR class with one of our sisters. We're going to spend the weekend out at my sister's house (she lives an hour away and she's close to where the class is being held) because her husband will be out of state and she would be by herself otherwise. It should be fun! On Saturday, my parents are going to my other sister's house (three hours away) to work on some tiling that needs to be done. After that, I'm not sure what we're going to do.
What about you?
How did the CPR classes go? It sounds like it was a good opportunity, I would guess CPR knowledge is a good thing to have! I hope it all went well! Life for myself looks busy right now- lots of work in the schedule, which I'm sure will go over well. Thankfully the Lord has arranged my schedules so it does not all happen on the same day. That would be....crazy.
Other than that, though, life is going well!
I'm so very glad summer is almost here, it's been so lovely outside!
I love the summer!
Oh, you're so fortunate, Fanny.
I'm in the midst of finals! (Some of them, that is. More are still on the way...) *sigh*
But hey, God is right here with me! I find that comforting during... stress. (As well as other times, of course! Right now I especially appreciate it.)
How are the finals going? Praying for you! That is very true about the Lord being right there beside you- isn't it so comforting to know that He knows exactly what it's like and exactly what you need?
We truly serve an awesome Lord!
FF: Hey!
Well, our exchange student arrived today from South Korea... So that'll be interesting as time goes on I suppose. I hope my youngest brother doesn't drive him crazy... Wow. He (younger brother)
asks rather insane sometimes around guests. He's 5.
How've you been?
Heh, I can sympathise. My younger brother (who is almost six) is, ahem, typical baby of the family. He's wonderful though, but he can get very very energetic and talkative around strangers.
I hope everything is well with the student and him settling in and whatnot.
How is the rest of life for you? I've been good here, reading quite a bit and doing other stuff.
And counting down the days to our trip to the States...
Of course.
*reads on* Aha, I see your exchange student went back home. Well, I do hope that it went well for the bit he was with you.
*waves to Fanny*
*waves back* How are you? And how was your retreat?
*waves to Ruby* I'm sorry that part of your debate didn't go well, but I must say I admire your courage for getting up and doing it...that's something I could only really dream about doing... How did your oral presentation go?
I've really been loving the weather lately too!! Spring is definitely my favorite season.
I'm not sure about everything yet, but it's definitely not a closed door, so I'm still shooting for it. My parents have worked out one thing, though. My brother and I are going to be in a high school ensemble next semester. And my mom is going to be either pianist or assistant teacher. I am so, so, SO excited about it!!
How have you been?
Hurray! And now we're almost into summer.
But I agree about spring- it's just wonderful.
The high school ensemble sounds like fun!
And that's great about your Mom being involved as well-- double fun!
I have been really well, thanks! And you?
How is the end of school going for you?
*waves to ForeverFan and moves onto page 160, very conscious of the work waiting when I get off the computer*
*waves to Aslans Country and hope that all the work that she had to do went well* How are you?
FF, glad you're doing well!
Do you have anything much planned for the summer?
My braces are working out great, thanks for asking!I barely notice them anymore.
Thank you dear! How are you? I should have a pretty good summer- the highlight that I can so far foresee will be a trip to the States to visit a dear friend, and also meet my sister's best friend (my sister will be there, of course). After that, and coming home, Lord willing it looks like I will be working all summer long, and I've already started into the swing of things, and it looks to be a very fun summer.
What about you? Do you have anything planned?
Oh good! I'm so glad that they've become a part of your normal life now and aren't bothering you too much.
Well, I should be off. Cheerio everyone! (And make sure you put lots of milk with it...
)
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.
