Good Mortereve, all! How is everyone this beautiful Friday Eve? I'm doing pretty good, pretty good! I've been fairly busy lately, I must say. My orthodontist appointment went well. And it turns out that I'll only have to wear them for a year and a half! Only five more days till TAN comes my way!

Time to CATCHUP!

Ahaha, I see. ;))

Hehe, yeah... ;) 😀

Hey, Ed! *Waves back* How's life?

Pretty good! It's been pretty busy, though. And October/November is going to be quite busy! :-s :) How goes it with you?

*Waves to Gwen

Ooh, you're getting braces, EP?

Yes, I most certainly am. The end of this month, actually. :)

I'll be getting braces again sometime later this fall.

"Again"? You mean you have had braces before? :-

I've been good, thanks, EP! Busy with schoolwork. How about yourself? :D

Glad you're doing well, NG! I'm doing pretty well! I'm busy with school and whatnot. ;) :)

I know, whenever I see your avie, EP, I think it's one of my posts, then I see your username. ;))

Haha, that's funny! ;))

Ow! sorry too hear about the surgery, TGW! FIVE toe surgeries in 2 years? :-o

My day has been really good. :)

Good, Jack! :D

I don't have a whole lot going on, but my dad has his first counseling client today! :D

That's great, Djaq!! No I wasn't in here when you said that your dad lost his job...sorry to hear about that, but I'm happy to hear that he has his first counseling client! :D :D/

How about you? :)

My day has been pretty good! School, a lot of housecleaning, and some other things. :) *Tries to think of something else to talk about...* ( ;)) )

Hello, everyone! I wanted to pop-in and say hi.

Hi, Pebbles! How are you?! :D

Reckon so. Probly cuz I been watchin Andy Griffith lately. ;))

*Cracks up* =))

How far are you into the book? :)

I'm at the part where: I'm liking it a lot so far. :) (I'm only at the fourth chapter )

How did your appointment go?

It went well! They didn't really do anything accept take some x-rays, look at my teeth, take some pictures (which they had to pull my mouth every which way to get the pictures). They said I would need them for about a year and a half. :)

Ooh, braces, Ed P.? It's for the greater good! :D

Yes, I suppose...At least it's only temporary, AND I'll have strait teeth afterwords ;) :) . How have you been lately?

Wow, that is a LOT of editing, NN95! ;))

Hello Edmund P! How was your Ortho app't

It was fine, thanks! :)

Glad you're feeling better. :)

Thanks, I am too ;) :) . How have you been?

I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time. :D

I'm sure I will too! I can't wait! :D/

Then do!!

Well...we'll see. If I just so happen to have ten bucks floating around (which is rare) then I will buy it. :D

I agree, it is rather crazy... even though I sent it to him, but still, I just can't believe he remembered who I was. ;))

Yeah it is just a little crazy![/sarcasm] That is awesome that he remembered who you were though! :D How have you been, Kat? :)

Well, folks, that's all the catching up I've got to do for today! Good night, and good Mortereve!

I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.

Plus he had a cold, and now I have one, and I can't help but consider the possibly that I got it from him, even though I'm pretty sure I didn't.

;)) Hehe. That's funny. :p You're saying... Mike was the one with a cold? If so, I feel kind of bad for him having to sing...
Though I think for me, when I have a cold (depending on the day) my voice sounds kind of cool. Just different I guess.

*waves to NN95, Lady A, DJ, and Winter*

Well...we'll see. If I just so happen to have ten bucks floating around (which is rare) then I will buy it.

*laugh* Ok, sounds good. 😉

Good evening everyone. I hope that ya'll are doing well this fine mortereve.

Aiden, I am not coloring my posts because I don't remember what the code is for my color and have been too lazy to look it up.:P I will do it eventually though.

To everyone who asked about my avatar. Yes, it is a fowl's leg, and yes, it is a turkey leg. I don't remember who exactly...but I think Narnia Girl had it right about the turkey leg. It's a turkey with a one and one quarter inch spur that I killed in Illinois two years ago.

Thanks Jo. I hope that all goes well with it. I'm rooting for a 31, and only need two more points to get there.:)

If I was to take a year off from school before going to college, my parents would probably be a bit unhappy with me.;) Unless of course, I had a good job lined up for that year and had a reasonable purpose for taking the year off.
As it is, I may be looking, tentatively, at another six years after this.:(😛

Edit: Attempts to color his post...
Let's try a different color..
Or another..
Okay, after the fourth try, I think this one works.:D

Edit2: Alright everyone, I'm off to bed. Talk atchya'll later. God Bless.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood evening, everyone! How are you all? And for those for whom it is not an evening, good mortevere!

Wow, this new site is taking some getting used to. Those that read my last post know that I've changed up the look and feel just for me... it helps a lot, but I still need to work on it.

And on that note, I do need to get to bed. I have three tests, a quiz, and several homeworks due in the next week. This is a big week for me - tests in both of my electives (Chem I and a Biol Health class) and in Systems and Controls, a senior-level electrical engineering class. Quiz in Electromagnetic Engineering (supposedly the hardest undergraduate class possible), homeworks due in several classes. #:-s

for Ti, Jo, and anyone else who needs it!

God bless, Peter Pevensie.
I love Narnia.

Mortereve all!

* waves back * How art things o'er there?

Going great, thanks! And how is your corner of the world faring?

*sigh* I just can't get it right. :P
*Ben grabs a flare and lights it* "Look where you're standing. All that gun-powder. You shoot me, I drop this, we all go up."

No worries! In fact, if you get really desperate, here's a helpful site! ;)
"What happens when the flare burns down? Tell me what I need to know, Ben!"

I did it the only way that it really let me. It's not too bad. I've gotten used to it, and it has improved my typing speed. ;)
Meh, no worries, they're fine. :) (Just a play on words :P )

Well, what I would do (and still do) is have two tabs open: one for writing the post and one for scrolling through what people had written. When I wanted to quote somebody, I would first write the quote tags, and then go to my other tab, copy what I wanted to quote, then paste it into the quote tags. Since there was a WYSIWYG editor back then, it retained the color/formatting of what I copied and what I wrote would stay blue the whole time. Anyway, I'm glad you feel like formatting your quotes, cuz I sure don't!
Thanks! Yeah, I can see that.

"It is kind of funny." A TV show. That's very good to know. ;)

"That's about as funny as........ it's not funny!" Night at the Museum.

Well, you ain't been down South enuff ta see what we is really like. That thar show don't quite do us justice and sech, ya know? ;))

I do have to admit that the way they talk on Andy Griffith isn't quite like I've heard people in the South talk. In fact, I really don't like Southern accents, but I enjoy listening to Andy Griffith. ;))

Yes, it does. :) I want to see it again, there are some scenes that I only remember part of.

Ah, I see. Well, someone gave it to my grandma recently, so I may have occasion to watch it sometime in the future.

Thank you, thank you! :D :P

See my above statement. ;)

You're quite welcome! ;))

*sigh* You're doing it again. :P I agree that they do hurt at times, and make you want to rip them out, but in the end, it's worth it. ;)
How long have you had your braces?

Indeed I was. I suppose it is worth it.
I'm not rightly sure, exactly. Probably a year or a year and a half. I really have no clue.

You and Aiden pretty much described that particular little guy correctly. ;))
I like all of the options, but I don't think that they're as "classy" as the old ones. :|

We had to pick apart his inner thoughts retrieve his motives from deep within.
Yeah the 3Dness of the old ones was what made them so "classy", as you put it.

*laughs at Aiden's updates when no one came in* ;)) (I was gone all day, or I would have been here sooner :P )

Well, I was lonely. ;)) (That, ok... I suppose... ;) )

Wow, a lot of posts while I was typing this up. I guess that people are making up for not being around this morning, huh, Aiden? ;)

What does everyone post while I'm not here?! Just to make my life miserable while I'm catching up?! :-l (Kidding, I enjoy catching up. ;)) )

EDIT: Hey, there's a new podcast! Hopefully, I'll listen to that tonight.

I don't know, but it does! I probably do. I think I'll try and install it later, do I need to install the latest firefox? I have something along the lines of Firefox -1. No, seriously it's ancient.

That's weird. You'd love Lazarus! You won't lose another post for the rest of your life. Yeah, it would help to get the latest Firefox. Here's where. :)

Now you're laughing at me!!! :(( Oh, ok, nevermind. :)

Lol, you sure change your mind quickly! ;))

How mature.

You're welcome! I dunno. I guess once you get a hundred you can feel very smart and be proud of the fact you got an A+. Yes, you are taking me too seriously. I meant the same way you'd say: "give so-and-so a gold star" when they've taken a very long time to figure something very basic out. I said "ten points" because in context of the conversation a star would've been kinda weird. (You're welcome! :) )

Thanks! Or, was that not a compliment? :P

Awesome! I'm already 10% there! :D/ I knew exactly how you meant it, I'm just being irritating. ;)) Oh, you're right, "star" would have been awkward in context. ( :) )

Yeah! Sorta like someone told him he played really well in the concert, whereas the old one looked like they just missed a note.

Exactly! So, there's nothing really "embarrassing" about the new one. It's just like he's blushing. In fact, the code for the smiliey is ""

Even the devil face? The old one wa stwenty times better.

The new one is kinda funny in an annoying sort of way. But, I agree, the old one was so great!

Glad to hear the braces will only be on for a year and a half, Edmund!

*Cracks up* =))

/:)

Wow, that is a LOT of editing, NN95! ;))

Yeah, it was.

*waves back to Queen Susan* Are we just going to keep waving?

Aiden, I am not coloring my posts because I don't remember what the code is for my color and have been too lazy to look it up.:P I will do it eventually though.

Ahaha, I see. ;)) Well, I'm glad you have it working now! :)

NN95, all your edits are so funny. ;)) The Square was moving slowly yesterday.

*waves back to Kk* How are you doing?

Wow. :-o johobbit, that was a very very very long post!

Yes I absolutely love rollercoasters, johobbit! :D But, no one else in my family likes them, so they think I'm crazy whenever I ride one. ;))

*waves to MA* How are you? :)

You're welcome, FF! And that's great that you get to see Fireproof. :D Have you seen it before?

Oh, but it's beginning to get cooler outside, Lady Arwen. :p Yes, we had a great time together!

But it's three 9's! That's plenty of significance, Djaq. :p

Lol, that happens to me sometimes as well, Djaq. Lots of times I forget to bring a hair elastic. ;))

A year and a half isn't too bad, EP. :)

Yes, I got braces put on my top teeth just the day before my 9th birthday, actually, EP. :D I had to wear them for, let's see, almost two years, I think. Then I had to wear a retainer for a year, and now I'm getting braces on all of my teeth sometime in the fall.

That's good, EP! Been reading at all lately? :D

Hey pp! *waves* How are you?

Last night, our whole family was in the living room, and somehow we were randomly talking about raising our eyebrows. My dad and my little brother can raise just one eyebrow instead of two, but I can only raise both of mine at the same time. ;)) It was weird. My little brother can raise his right eyebrow, then his left eyebrow, and back and forth. It was just so funny seeing him do it. :p I know, it probably sounds kinda weird, doesn't it?

Good mortereve, Narnia Girl, and Aiden. :)

My little brother can raise his right eyebrow, then his left eyebrow ... it probably sounds kinda weird, doesn't it?

If it is your little brother you are speaking of, he is supposed to be weird. I know this to be true in that I am one of those 'weird little brothers.' Nor does this change, at 44 years old, I am still the weird little brother.

Wow, this new site is taking some getting used to.

... sorry to hear about Remmie having to be put down. How is your mom doing in regards to that?

Ditto-poo? :))

She is adjusting like she always did when it came to the cats. Only this time she can't get another. She thinks this process was harder on me, and that may be true. He had taken to staying around me when I was home.

Indeed. "Ditto-poo."

Noticed the posts about having braces. My three siblings had braces and the lovely head-gear to go with. A orthodontist in training tried an experiment with me by removing four teeth out of my mouth when I was eight (if memory serves). It worked. No braces.

Sure can. A lot of people have asked me how to do this.

Here is before the tweaks.

And here is after.

I tried to show the pictures here, but they get distorted. The "after" picture is also shown smaller than it actually is. The text is just as big "after" as "before", but at least you can see it's wider.

Hello everyone! *waves* How is everyone doing? I'm doing great! A tad tired, but I've mostly recovered from my allergy attack (eyes stopped itching) and I got to sleep in a bit today. Praise the Lord! And so yeah...I'm doing pretty well.

Ah, cool. I'm surprised I remembered. ;))

*laughs* I think the ability to make other people happy is a talent! You're gifted, Aiden! :)

Thanks! And how go things in your corner of the world?[

You mean my cave? Everything's going pretty well here. I'm looking forward to the weekend, though I don't know why, because all the weekends ever hold in store for me is more and more dance practices. :(

Hey Ruby! *hugs* I'm doing good! How are you?

*hugs narnia girl back*! I'm doing great, girl! Just had the most amazing night of my life...but I'll talk more about that later. ;)

RubyG! Great to see you. Sounds like a fun, albeit belated, birthday celebration! I gather Winter was invited? ;) :D

Of course Winter was invited! She's the voice of sanity and sense at those kind of parties. ;)

Yes, too busy. That's why I'm not on here quite as much. :( :p

Oh no! :-o I'll be too busy in a few days. Once my other two classes start up...I probably won't even be able to get on NW this much! I hope things slow down a bit for you! And make sure you get plenty of sleep!

RubyG, I quite like tobyMac too.

Yay! It's a family favorite in this house. :)

Thanks! :) I'm doing really good! :D How have you been lately?

*hugs Djaq* I've been doing great!!! :D :D

HOW WAS THE CONCERT!??!?!?! You gotta let me know! :D I'm guessing it's happening sometime about right now!

MissA!!!! I was just waiting for someone to get me started!! ;) OK! Now it's my turn to talk about what an amazing night I had!!! :P

We got front row seats at the church, though that didn't really make a difference because once Tenth Avenue North started playing everyone ran and crowded up to the edge of the stage and we were all standing, dancing, and singing for the entire concert. I don't think I could have sat down anyway. The music was really loud and it seriously felt like it was pulsing through me. I was at the edge of the stage to the left a little, so I had a nice view of the whole band! The only not-so-nice thing was one of the large speakers was right next to me, so it was really loud! I didn't mind it that much, at the time. But afterward I had a headache. But I was too happy to care, so, yeah...

Before the concert began Jason came out with his daughter and she said "hi" in to the microphone! It was so cute! She started chewing on it!! =))

I absolutely love how the band ministered to the crowd that night! Mike's words just touched everybody's hearts! The people there were crying, laughing, singing! It was amazing and I've never seen anything like it! I love how he talks about the struggle of the Christian life, not just the joy. I could totally relate to everything he was saying. It was as if he was painting a picture of my life, my past struggles and trials and then painting a picture of what lay ahead. Of what Christ has in store for me!!

I'll probably be quoting him a lot within the next few months...or years. :)

I was surprised that Mike used the word "propitiation". It's my dad's favorite word, by the way. Along with the word "imputation" and "justification" and a whole bunch of theological terms like that. Mike did a great job of explaining those terms, which most teenage kids have probably never heard of and don't understand. I can totally see Mike as a youth pastor! He's amazing with younger kids!

They also played two of their new songs at their concerts! One was called Strong Enough, I think. And I can't remember what the other one was called, but it had to do with "You are not the sum of your choices." It was really amazing! And before they played that song, Mike did this really hilariously accurate Batman impression! It was so funny! And I recorded it on my camera! I'll post videos and pictures on FB and my blog later. :)

Unfortunately, I didn't get all that many great pictures of the concert, because the lighting was really bad, for picture-taking that is. But I got a few after-the-concert pictures of us with the band! Well, my dad actually took those pictures.

Anyway! After the concert, we got in the signing line to get their autographs! I had my little bible with me, which I wanted the band to sign. I wanted something more special than just a poster. At first I was thinking my journal. But I go through journals so fast and I'll always have my Bible with me. So I decided on my Bible. It's the one that my mom gave to me the Christmas before last. It has my name inscribed on the front. Anna had her Bible as well.

So, we finally got to the table where the band was. I felt kind of weird, because I was like the only one with something other than a poster. Jason was so funny! When I handed him my Bible he said, "Ok, I'm going to sign my name in here, and then I'm going to write some scripture references in here also and I want you to look them up afterwards!" And then he spent a really long time flipping through my Bible trying to find the right verse. He kept saying, "There's this one that I've been thinking of!"

All the guys wrote several scripture references in my Bible! Mike's reference was Psalm 16 (one of my favorites), Jason's references were Romans 5:6-8 and Galatians 5:16-18, and Jeff's were Colossians 3:12-17 and John 9:2-3. We got to chat with Mike for a while! My dad was really amazed at his knowledge of scripture and his ability to speak so passionately and clearly about Christ! When Mike was signing my Bible he asked me what my name was and I was like "Um, it's on the front of my Bible." I was so excited, I was nearly shaking. :P My brother Ben talked to Jason, who he thought was so cool, because he played the drums. My brother's learning how to play the drums and he's saving up for an electric drum set.
Mike shook all our hands and was like, "So, you're all sisters and brothers?" I love how he was always so ready to talk about Christ! It was amazing! I wish we could have talked longer, but it was nearly 11:00 PM and we had to go.

When the band was making their way to the signing table, the agent was literally pushing Mike to the table. So many people were trying to talk to him and shake his hand! I can understand why.

My brother, Ben, is now a fan of Tenth Avenue North! YAY! And so is my dad! The band is coming back to OKC for the Winter Wonder Jam and I hope to see them there!

I'll end by saying that last night was the best birthday-date I have ever had! Even if it was really late. But my dad's birthday dates are always late! And I'm glad Ben and I got to go on joint b-day date.

Well, that's all I have time for! Goodness! This must be the longest post I've ever made! I hope it doesn't kill the NW forum. :P

God bless!
