Mortereve, all!

I'm doing well, though my hand has been hurting quite a bit lately. My right thumb received a direct hit in hockey a couple weeks ago. At first it just swelled and I couldn't move it, and then it seemed to be healing. But this past week, it's really gone downhill. We went to the doctor for some ex-rays, but they couldn't see any noticeable problem. So, I get to wear a splint for several days, and then go to a hand specialist. Woo-hoo. :p
But in the meantime, prayers would be appreciated! :) I can't write, play violin... and it hurts a lot, all the time.

Anyway. Catching up:

Djaq: School has been going fairly well, thanks. I'm counting down the days until summer. :p What about you? When do you get off?

Hm, Nick, I think I have... five weeks left of school? Something like that.

Haha, and you have my sympathies. Three years in a row is quite awhile. ;))

I bet you're relieved that the SAT test are over, Bella. ;)) I'm sure you did well, though.

Yes, I suppose that's true. The "Hi, how are you?" "I've been well, thanks" are [unfortunately] all too common. ;))

Well, still... I think it's pretty. :) I can't even do that much in making an avatar or signature.

That’s why I kind of what egg layers if I ever get a big enough place. That way they’re just pets with tasty breakfast food perks.

True. ;)) (Btw, good to see you! )

Heh, Cor, that's quite true. Even catching up on two or three day's worth of pages can be hard. (For me, at least.) :p Ah well. I guess it's better to drop by with short posts than never at all. ;)

Lol, and yes. I'll probably be doing a bit of both. The first several weeks, I'll definitely be catching up on my sleep. The rest of it... well... we'll see. ;))

Aha, that's right. I remember those "insulting comments"... :p As for fresh fruit, there's plenty of that around our house. ;) And chocolate? How could I have forgotten?

*waves to Louise the Second* Hellooo!! :) Yes, for my concerto I will be accompanied by a piano. I'm not sure if I'll be able to play, however, with my injured hand.... :( We'll see, though.

And thank you! I really love that quote. There are so many good ones out there, it's always hard deciding which one to choose!

(I'm not sure about this, but I was thinking of recording my concerto and posting it on facebook. ;) Just a passing thought... If I end up ever doing that, I'll be sure to let you know! I think you'd really like the piece.)

Annnd... that concludes my catchup post. Another night of studying awaits, so... tchau! Until later. :)

Sorry to hear about your hand, Louise the First. :( It's frustrating that they can't find anything obviously wrong with it ... yet something obviously is. I sure hope it gets better in time for you to play the concerto! And wow, I'd love to see/hear you play it, if you record it. Yes, do let us know. :)

*wanders into the square whistling*

Wow! This is the third post I've made today on the Square! *gasps*

Remember, you do have an essay to write.

I know.

And you have that horrid book to read.

I know that too.

Just making sure.

Thank you, Erubadhriel, also known as my faithful conscience.

Anyway, I only have a few minutes on here and then I must be running. But I had to get on here and say a big hi to johobbit!!! And here's a hug!!

Ali, you're getting over a cold too? That makes two of us. I hope you get completely better soon!

Hehe, it's not much of a debate, more like a discussion, since we usually agree. But It's fine with me if you want to join. Just drop Aiden a PM and check with him. :)

I must be off to bed now!
Goodnight and God bless!

Sorry I haven't been around for about five pages. Hope everyone is well! :)
I'm doing fairly well, but MY PIANO STILL NEEDS TO BE TUNED!! :((
Sorry 'bout that. It's making me a little crazy. ;))

Hmm, it might work. :) I make something that I call "little pizzas" and I use crescent rolls for them sometimes and it does work really well for a "crust". Usually I use big biscuits (like, the "grands", or something), though. I can send you or post a recipe, if you're interested. :)

Mmmm...that souds really good! Sure you can PM me. :) Thanks!

I'm trying to play by ear more now. My sister does some, but not very much. There's a video of me playing "Sea of Faces" by Kutless here. :) It's one of the first songs I've done by ear, so it's not the greatest. ;))

Wow,that was so good!! :D I love that song. :)
Btw,I sent you a friend request, subscribed, and favorited and liked the vid. :) I'm FireRefinedLark.

Do you play by ear much? :)

A little. I've figured out "Shoreline" be Deas Vail and most of "Fuzzy Blue Lights" by Owl City. I've also figured out the chorus of "Excuses" by Deas Vail, the first part of "Hey" by Leeland, and "A Mess it Grows" by He Is We. But my problem is I get so distraced by finding another song,I have trouble finishing. ;)) The only reason I finished "Shorline" is because it's repetitive. :P

Let me know how it goes when you do talk to him! :)

I still haven't talked to him,so could I just PM you when I finally do? :)

Thanks! :D It's the album cover to Rubber Soul. :)

Cool! I only have "1" on my iPod. I need to see if my Dad has some more music I can borrow. Is it your favorite of theirs?

Heh, well that's one benefit of me being an only child then. :p

You.Have.No.Idea. :p None.What.So.Ever.

Spoiler
^That was so much fun to type. :P

*It's actually not as bad as it sounds. It comes in handy when you eat raw meat, as most dragons do, though I have acquired a taste for cooked meat. :) *

I always thought dragons prefered cooked meat. ;)) Because of the fire-breathing. That's really interesting!

Hello,Lark!!I'm doing well for the most part, how about you?

I'm doing great! :) Yesterday,I realized that my orthodontist appointment wasn't until next week,so I was thrilled about that. :)

Have anyone here seen the movie Merlin?

Well,I haven't seen the movie,but I do enjoy the BBC series. :)

princess_of_narnia,that picture you posted of yourself is gorgeous! What a lovely dress! :)

Harkening back to page 147, Lark, how goeth the dissecting?
:)

Oh,jo,I'm so sorry! My brain's been so confuzzled lately. x_x
Since I've posted last,I've disected a frog and a fish(carp,I believe). Neither were as thrilling as the pig,but still quite fascinating. I got to skin the frog!! :D The fish was a little annoying ,though, because his scales kept falling off.

Dani!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D How fares you? :) Btw,guess what?? My sister and I found Merlin on the TV!! :D

Wow,that wasn't very much to catch-up on at all! ;;) *hits Submit*

Mortereve all!

It probably won't be much of a debate, since I'm guessing we'll agree for the most part. But who knows? I guess I'll start. I believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible. I believe that God created the world in six days, by the Word of His power and that reading in any type of evolutionary process into the Scriptures is wrong and not correct. That's basically what I believe. :)

If you don't mind, I think I'll PM you about my church denomination. :)

Yep, I agree. Not much to add... I guess it'd be better if we had someone to debate. ;))

Ok, no a problem!

I suppose not, seeing I might be taking some time off to earn some money soon :p . I want to buy a CD! :p

Ah, see? He has a perfectly legitimate reason. What CD do you want?

lol yeah probably, but it suprises me b/c my mom hates that we watch so much TV :p . Whatever, she mainly only lets us get documentaries anyway :p .

lol, that's strange. ;))

@ NN. I tried starting with episode 1, but no one has it up it seems. :-s I tried youtube and Google video..... :( *sigh* I guess I'll just have to buy the season on DVD, eh?

Seriously? *goes to check* Try doing a search like this. You'll see a result from tudou.com. They usually have all the episodes. It's subtitled in Chinese, but at least you can see the episodes.
Yeah, buying it on DVD would be the easiest. I'd say it's worth it.

So, Aiden, you and Queen Susan have been to the same Creation museum? Cool. Where in Ohio is it? Hmm, I think I asked this earlier, but forgot the answer: is it near Cincinnati?

Oh, yes, several people in the Square have been to it. It's actually not it Ohio; it's in Kentucky. But it's right on the border. Here's a map of it.

You ol' veteran, you! Hey, I just realize that you and I joined NarniaWeb only a few months apart. :) Btw, I hope the play goes smashingly! :D Remind me your role again? *notes later it's "John Brooke"* Aha. Hey, how'd you get the nickname "Nick" by Louise the First? *curious Jo*

Hehe, I remember the way things were in the old days. ;)) That's right. In fact, I think I joined before you. That's hard to believe!
Thank you! Yep, I'm John Brooke. I have to say, no matter how much I dislike my part, I always have the coolest name. ;))
I don't recall how I got the nickname Nick. I have a feeling I just mentioned that I liked the name and she started calling my that. I believe someone else calls me that too, but I don't recall who.

Hm, Nick, I think I have... five weeks left of school? Something like that.

Haha, and you have my sympathies. Three years in a row is quite awhile. ;))

Ha, you think? You wouldn't know last year's play, but the year before that was Anne of Green Gables. Yep, I was the teacher, Mr. Philips.

Anyone around?

Thanks, Louise! And yes, I'll definitely let you know if I ever decide to record it. ;) It's kind of odd, come to think of it, that you've never actually heard me play... ;)) Wow.

*waves to Ruby* Hellooo!

Ha, you think? You wouldn't know last year's play, but the year before that was Anne of Green Gables. Yep, I was the teacher, Mr. Philips.

Umm... well it's somewhere between four-and-a-half and five weeks... :p

Oh. OH. Lol, I'm sorry. (Well hey, I suppose it's better than Gilbert though.) Do you, uh, have any knowledge of what they're going to put on next year? Hopefully not something like Pride & Prejudice... (where you could be Mr. Darcy? Lol, a horrifying suggestion I'm sure.) :p

Well... I'm off to some sort of pizza party the biology department is having tonight. So, good night to all! :)

Good mortereve all!!

*waves to PA* I'm glad to hear you're feeling better!

Wow, hello there, Ara!! :D It's been a while since I've seen you. Welcome back!

Djaq, I like your clever member title. Makes me smile.

Thank you! :)

*waves to JillPole too* Hi! :D Welcome back!

*tackle-hugs Sweeet* ;)

:) Thanks! So far, I've absolutely loved working in the kitchen. Even during the busier times of my shift, it's been so much fun! The pace and atmosphere is for the most part pretty good, and there will be lots of witnessing opportunities as well, for which I'm excited. :)

I'm glad to hear it! :D It sounds really neat!
Oh, I almost forgot to ask you...would you like to join the fanclub that flambeau and I started for the BBC Robin Hood TV show? :D All it involves at the moment is putting "Team Hoodie" in your sig. ;)) :)

*waves to Djaq* Thanks for your prayers! I still have this stupid cough, but it's not nearly so bad as it used to be! And I've been getting all my work done the same, so things are going well. How about you?

*sends a hug back* I hope that the cough goes away soon! :( The cough that hangs on for a while after you're "getting better" is one of the worst things about a cold. :(
I've been doing good. :) I have a headache at the moment, but that's not a big deal...I just couldn't think of anything else to say. ;))

"Well that's five letters! Try "death"! It's the key code. The debt that all men pay is death."

"Alright...L-A-B-O-U-L-L-A-D...*tries a number of different pronunciations* It's gibberish..."

"I just want to know it's not just something in my head or in my heart." NT1. It most certainly has!
Yeah, that's for sure.

"Sorry to disappoint you." PC. Yep! :)

They are, aren't they? (Yes, I will! ;) )

Yes, indeed! (No, you will not! ;) )

Now, when you listen to a podcast, I'll read the paper on music. Deal?

Deal! :) Okay, I listened to episode #58 last night. They discuss the armor that we have seen so far in VDT and also the MLG. What are your thoughts on those subjects?

Yup, definitely. You've probably seen them hundreds of time, huh?

Lol. Not quite hundreds of times. ;) I'm sure I'm close to that number though. ;)) I watched them with my sister (not flambeau) when I was first introduced to them and watched them a few times each then...then I got flambeau interested and watched all of them with her...and then we got some friend's of ours interested so we've watched them all with them a few times...yeah, a lot. ;))

But, how did you know I liked Roy?

Oh, I thought I remembered you saying that. Maybe you didn't. I may have been mistaken.

Though I'm always up for a new nickname. ;)

You are the one person who does not need a new nickname! ;)

actually not really. Like I said I listen to pretty much anything. I used to be obsessed with classical/celtic music, so Hayley was one of my faves (along with Josh Groban, but I'm still very much in to him ;) ). Never heard of David Klinkenberg...I used to listen to David Cerone when I played violin... :)

Neat! :) I really like Hayley and Celtic Woman (my sister got me interested). Ooh, I love Josh Groban's music! :D His voice is great!
Here's a link to David Klinkenberg's website, if you're interested. It isn't updated much, but you can hear some of his songs on there. ;)) :)

lols ure ;)) . Do I just have to put it in my sig? :)

Yep, just put "Team Hoodie" in your sig, and you're good to go! :D

Oh yes, an update on KingLune: You will all be glad to hear that the Royal Father, Husband and Acquaintance is on the mend. Lady A is taking good care of him and the chocolates from the fair miss Djaq were greatly appreciated. *bows in Djaq's general direction*

Ah, thank you for the update! I am glad to hear that he is doing better now! I hope he won't try anything like that again...it's a bit trying for the nerves.
You are quite welcome for the chocolates! 'Twas no trouble. ;)

Uhh, I think so... *looks through bag* Here you go! :D *tosses a chocolate and peanut butter covered apple at Djaq. Wrapped in foil, of course.*

*catches the apple gracefully and then promptly trips over her own feet as she is turning around for a "thank you" to the prince* :-s :| Ahem...*picks herself of off the ground* Perhaps I'm not as graceful as I should be...*goes back to sit down on her bench and begins to eat her apple*

What's there not to believe? :-

*Oh nothing really.... Just something about picking on you and pushing you into the fountain. Nothing major. :) *

Well, I can understand you not wanting to get on my bad side, but after what Vern said...It makes me think you're plotting something.

Is that so, Vern? Well... /:) What do you have to say now, Cor?
(^ all in jest, of course)

Ah, alright. I knew that apparently Jo had already planned to switch up names with some of here friends, but I wasn't sure about the Wonderland thing. Yes, it twas! :D

Yeah, I didn't even know about Jo switching up names. ;)) She said she had something planned, but didn't tell us what. ;))

Thank you! :D It was a surprise and an honor to be offered the position. I just hope I do well... Thanks again!

Don't worry; I'm sure you'll be great at it! :D

He's now a little over 8 feet long and roughly 18 inches tall. :)

18 inches tall? :-

Djaq and flam, how are all your cute wee nieces and nephews doing? :D (I can't recall just how many of each gender.)

They are doing really well! :D That's okay; it's hard to remember unless you've seen them all. ;)) We have 6 nephews and 5 nieces. :D flam and I will be going out to my sister's house on Saturday to help out with the twins.

I wonder if anyone will return to grace us with their presents? ;)) ;)

When said aloud, it does sound like that. ;) ;)) Next Thursday would be a great day to have presents in the Square, methinks. ;)

Djaq: School has been going fairly well, thanks. I'm counting down the days until summer. :p What about you? When do you get off?

Good! :) Haha, yes, summer is getting close! :D School is going pretty well for me. I think I'll be finishing with some of my subjects in the next week or so, so that will be nice. :)
Aww, I'll be praying that your hand/thumb heals! :(
Oh, and if it's possible, I'd love to see you play your violin. :)

Mmmm...that souds really good! Sure you can PM me. :) Thanks!

Okay, I'll try to type a message up to you soon! :)

Wow,that was so good!! :D I love that song. :)
Btw,I sent you a friend request, subscribed, and favorited and liked the vid. :) I'm FireRefinedLark.

Wow, thank you! :D I was sooo excited when I saw that you had subscribed and that you had favorited the video! Thank you! And, I accepted your friend request. :D

Ooh, "Shoreline" and "Fuzzy Blue Lights" have gorgeous piano in them!! I'd love to hear them if you record and upload them. :D "Excuses" is pretty too! I've been working on that one. :) The intro to it is really fun to play! Haha, I get distracted by other songs too. ;)) One song that I've been playing part of lately is "I Need You To Love Me" by BarlowGirl...I had it going through my head for some reason the other day, sat down at the piano and started playing the chorus. It was fun! ;))

I still haven't talked to him,so could I just PM you when I finally do? :)

That would be great! :)

I skimmed a lot so I'm sorry if I missed something.

*waves to everyone and then heads off to make supper* I'm trying a new recipe, so I hope it will turn out good. ;))

*tip toes in*

I don't know.

I guess I just felt like tip-toeing in today. I don't think I've ever tip-toed into the Square before.

Well, well, today has been eventful. Somewhat. I had school as usual and then I got to go have an interesting discussion/catch up with my Sunday School teacher at the coffee house. I love coffee houses. And I love good discussions. So it was nice. :)

But I am really tired now. *dies*

Just kidding.

I'm not dead and certainly not too tired to complete a little catch up! :)

Dani!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D How fares you? :) Btw,guess what?? My sister and I found Merlin on the TV!! :D

Lark!! *HUGS* I'm doing great! A bit tired, have a lot of home work, but things have been going well. :) How about you?

Oh, that's so cool that you found Merlin! Which season? How many episodes/seasons have you seen yet?

MY PIANO STILL NEEDS TO BE TUNED!! :((

Oh dear, your piano too?? My piano is horrendously out of tune! Not to mention, one of the pedals doesn't work (like the pedal you use all the time) and so I can't play half of my pieces! It's driving me insane! :((

Yep, I agree. Not much to add... I guess it'd be better if we had someone to debate. ;))

Oooh! I have an interesting topic for a discussion! What about war? What do you think about war?

This is a topic we've been discussing in my Rhetoric class lately, so I'm interested in it. :)

*waves to Ruby* Hellooo!

*waves back* Hi Miss R!! How have you been? It's been such a long time since I talked to you! :P

*sends a hug back* I hope that the cough goes away soon! :( The cough that hangs on for a while after you're "getting better" is one of the worst things about a cold. :(

Thanks! Coughs are definitely no fun, but I think mine is actually starting to get better. Sad thing is, I think I passed it on to Winty... :P

I've been doing good. :) I have a headache at the moment, but that's not a big deal...I just couldn't think of anything else to say. ;))

*chuckles* I can understand why it's hard to think of anything else to say with a headache. ;) But I'm glad to hear that you're doing good! And I hope you don't have any more head aches any time soon. :)

That's all for now, everyone! I'll be off to do some late night studying while the house is still quiet and then it's off to bed!

God bless and goodnight!

Tonight and tomorrow Sister2 and Sister3 are going to be in a "101 Dalmations" play. :D I won't be able to go tonight, but I'll get to see it twice tomorrow. :)
Sister2 is a Chihuahua and Sister3 is a lesser Dalmation. :)

Okay, I'll try to type a message up to you soon! :)

Awesome! But don't feel rushed about it or anything. :)

Wow, thank you! :D I was sooo excited when I saw that you had subscribed and that you had favorited the video! Thank you! And, I accepted your friend request. :D

No problem at all! :D I'm not on there very often, though. ;)) And thanks for accepting! :D

It was fun! ;))

I'm hoping to record and upload something late spring or early summer. :) I usually do piano and vocal covers though,so I'm not sure if I can do Shoreline and Fuzzy Blue Light. Shoreline goes too high sometimes, and FBL goes too low sometimes! ;)) I just figured out a lot of "Give Until There' Nothing Left" by Relient K yesterday, and I want to do that song because it's in my vocal range. I'm still having a slight problem with finding the guitar parts though. :-s
I really want to learn "Atlantis" by Deas Vail,"Therapy" by Relient K,"Hurricane" and "Won't Turn Back" by Needtobreathe and "Lonely Nation" by Switchfoot.
I'm a tad bit ambitious. ;))
Ooh,that's a fun song! Are you going to try to cover the whole thing? :)

I'm trying a new recipe, so I hope it will turn out good. ;))

Ooh,what kind of new recipie? :) I'm sure it'll turn out great!

Lark!! *HUGS* I'm doing great! A bit tired, have a lot of home work, but things have been going well. :) How about you?

I've been pretty good. Just trying to finish up my two english papers. ;)) One's a biographical paper about C.S.Lewis,and the other is a critical book review of The Screwtape Letters.
Ugh....homework. :P

Oh, that's so cool that you found Merlin! Which season? How many episodes/seasons have you seen yet?

Season 2. We've only see one episode, but we set up our DVR to record every single episode that comes on. :D So hopefully when Season 3 airs,we won't have to use youtube.
Were trying to find Doctor Who and Robin Hood, too. I got a free nine-minute preview of Doctor Who via iTunes, and I want to watch a full-length episode sooo bad!

Oh dear, your piano too?? My piano is horrendously out of tune! Not to mention, one of the pedals doesn't work (like the pedal you use all the time) and so I can't play half of my pieces! It's driving me insane! :((

Oh,I'm so sorry! :( Ugh,my damper pedal broke twice within one week once. And right before I had to play at the guild too. But we got it fixed and re-tuned the day before I had to play, and it was so hard because it sounded so different than before.
What kind of piano do you use? Mine's a Kimball.

*Cor and Vern enter the Square enjoying yet another pleasant April day*

Mortereve all! Well, I am now on Spring break!! :D Technically, it should begin after I finish school today, but since I did today's work yesterday ;) .... I get today off! :D

*He's been going on about this for the last few hours.... 8-| *

If my memory serves me well, Vern, you were also quite happy that I would be off for a week. ;)

*Yes, well.... er....*

Ah, forget it. :) The chocolate tree looks as though it needs delivering from some of it's fruit....

*Cor hurries over to said tree and begins harvesting chocolate while the Royal Dragon takes his place by the fountain*

Here you go Vern! An entire branch of chocolate crisps! :D

*Thank you, Cor!*

Alright, time for catching-up: (<--- said between mouthfuls of chocolate)

----------------------

@ Jo. I know exactly how you feel, Jo. I've had a wonderful time writing him. :) *whispers* Don't worry about offending Vern. He's very understanding. :)

*Vern looks over at Jo and the Prince and tilts his head to the side. How do you know I'm not the one writing you Cor? Hmm? ;) *

That.... would be an interesting development.

Ooh! Scones!! :D :D We love scones, especially blueberry ones! *The Prince and Dragon eagerly tear into the the scones* We'll have to save the rest of the chocolate for Lady A, I suppose. ;)

@ Rose. Depends on how much has happened in the Square. Sometimes just two days worth can be overwhelming. :-s True, very true. We'd much rather see you around than never to see you at all. :)

Sounds like a plan at least. ;))

*Yes. Poor Cor is still picked on occasional by some of the lass's he insulted. Though I'm not complaining. :p Ah, good! :D Well, seeing as how miss Jo has given us scones plus the branches from the chocolate tree that Cor picked, I think we're good for now. ;) *

Also, hope your thumb heals very soon! I twisted my fingers once when I bowling years ago, not a pleasant feeling to have any of your fingers constantly hurting. :(

@ Lark. I'd recommend Help!, Revolver, Abbey Road and a few songs from Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour and The White Album. :)
Not exactly, but it's one of my favorite album covers of theirs. :D

Eh, I can imagine only slightly after bring around my cousins. :p

*It really depends on how long you want to wait to eat. Sometimes we eat our meat rare, other times well done. Then there are some dragons that mostly eat fruit. :) *

@ NN. Found the video, but can't watch it because of parental controls. :( I guess I'll just have to fish out $50.00 and buy the boxed set. ;) :p

I've also watched a few more episodes on youtube and still really enjoying it! :D

@ Djaq.

Ah, thank you for the update! I am glad to hear that he is doing better now! I hope he won't try anything like that again...it's a bit trying for the nerves.
You are quite welcome for the chocolates! 'Twas no trouble. ;)

Quite welcome! Yes, maybe after this and the "Horsey Incident" Father has learned his lesson.... maybe. :|

*catches the apple gracefully and then promptly trips over her own feet as she is turning around for a "thank you" to the prince* Ahem...*picks herself of off the ground* Perhaps I'm not as graceful as I should be...*goes back to sit down on her bench and begins to eat her apple*

*cringes slightly as Djaq his the ground* Umm, yeah. We just won't speak of this again, O.K? How's the apple BTW? :)

Well, I can understand you not wanting to get on my bad side, but after what Vern said...It makes me think you're plotting something.

Is that so, Vern? Well... What do you have to say now, Cor?
(^ all in jest, of course)

Me? Plotting something? Why would you ever think that? ;;) ymwhisle *hides plans behind his back*

"I like peaches, I like cream. I was captain of the team!" Hmm, wrong quote.... "KHAAAANNNN!!!" Still not right.... :- No comment. ;)

Don't worry; I'm sure you'll be great at it! :D

Thanks!

18 inches tall? :-

Whoops! Correction: Vern is now 16 feet long and roughly 5 and a half feet tall. I was looking at the old statics....

---------------------------

Alright, that gets everything I think. :) Well, I better get back to the castle and do those chores KingLune mentioned earlier....

Goodbye for now!

*Cor and Vern exit the Square*

Avvie by the great Djaq!

Did you see that little thing that looked like a kangaroo, but it's really tiny?

Hm, no, I don't believe it was there... There was a turtle, zonkey, zorse, llamas, a few different goats and another type of donkey... and some birds. But I don't think I saw the kangaroo thing. Neat that you were the first one to see it. :D

For a while I thought that I was going to Florida with one of my sisters and her family as a "nanny" of sorts, but they decided they didn't need to take me, so I think I'll be home all summer. ;))
What about you? :)

Oh, so were you happy you'll be home? Or did you think Florida sounded fun? Or...? ;))
Plans? Ack. :p In May we have a 3 day trip planned to Illinois and Wisconsin, July we have a vacation to Idaho--most likely for a week... And we have a foreign exchange student arriving in May. 😼 Yikes. First time a non-family member will be staying at our house for... a while. :p I'm not sure what I think about it. I guess I'm a bit--hm. I'll have to meet the student first to say what I think about them. But just the idea of it seems rather--intruding on family life. :-s I dunno. I'll get used to it, and once we get to know him I'm sure we'll like him and be happy. ;)) But still. :p

I love Josh Groban's music! :D His voice is great!

Ah, me too. :) :)

*waves to Bella* :D I know something you said on facebook the other day really struck me. But now I can't think of what it was. :-?

And I'm sure it's very refreshing to not have to stop at every exhibit and go, "No, this did not happen 25 billion years ago..."

;)) Hehe, yes. We went with a small group of people from our church last night to see the documentary "Oceans" in theater... The cinematography, etc, was amazing... But it was rather annoying when the narrator would start up on the evolution. :p I was next to a friend, and she and I both let out little 'snorts' when we felt the need to. Or the occasional "Tttt!" The theater was rather empty, and the other viewers were farther away, so I don't believe we disturbed them. ;))

*grimaces when she sees lover of narnia's avatar.* ;)) Oh dear. No offense. I couldn't help it. :p

Nice picture, Princess/PON! :) Never been to prom. (Never want to go.) ;))

Jojo: Oh, hello!!! :D I'm so glad I'm friends with some of you on FB or I'd never know what was going on with you. ;) J/K. :p But it is rather nice. :) Sounds like you had a great time at "The City". ;) :D You were probably there right when we were on vacation. ;))

It sounds like you had a wonderful time at the Museum! And how did the Medieval reenactment go?

Quite well! They did a fantastic job! There was jousting and sword fighting, and it really wasn't bad. ;)) Better then some movies I've seen almost. ;)) :p The food was good as well. :D And we got to eat it without any silverware, though I'm not sure that was a plus. ;) Anyway. Enjoyed that. :D We went to a War museum (Ahem, "Civil" war museum) afterwards... They had a HUGE oil painting there. Quote from Wikipedia: "The painting at one time was the largest oil painting in the world, and if unrolled would measure 42 feet high by 358 feet long. It held this record until 2004" 😼 Wow. :p
Aaaand my brothers did well at their Lego thing... 3rd place in Research, 4th in programming, and placed near the top in other areas too. :D Out of 15,000 teams worldwide, 85 made it to WORLD competition, and I'd say the team my brothers were in was in the top 20 at least there. Maybe 10. :D So that's pretty awesome. ;))

How are you? It's been like five pages since I was on here...

Usually it's 10 for me. :p Lately it's been a bit better. :D I'm doing well, thank you! If you wish to know more about our vacation and the next month, you can read what I wrote to FF and DJ above. ^^^ Other then that--hm. Braces I guess is a new topic. :p Me and 2 of my brothers are planning to get those on May 3.

Well, it takes us about 3 hours max to get to the north-east corner of Ohio, so it's easily within a morning's drive.

Oh, I see. :D We were near Cincinnati (and stayed in a hotel in Kentucky) so it would've been a tad farther for us. Would've been fun though. ;) I'm afraid meeting N-webbers may only be in my dreams though. :(

Well, I believe that's all!! :D Farewell!

Good mortereve all!!

Thanks! Coughs are definitely no fun, but I think mine is actually starting to get better. Sad thing is, I think I passed it on to Winty... :P

I'm glad that yours is getting better! :D Aww, you passed it to Winty? You're a very giving person, but I think that this could have been one instance where you could have refrained. ;)

*chuckles* I can understand why it's hard to think of anything else to say with a headache. ;) But I'm glad to hear that you're doing good! And I hope you don't have any more head aches any time soon. :)

Yeah. ;)) I'm feeling better today than I did yesterday. :)

Tonight and tomorrow Sister2 and Sister3 are going to be in a "101 Dalmations" play. :D I won't be able to go tonight, but I'll get to see it twice tomorrow. :)

Ooh, how fun! :D I hope you (and they) enjoy it!!

Awesome! But don't feel rushed about it or anything. :)

Thanks! I have to write out a recipe for them first...I made it up and never copied it out.

I'll be watching for them then! :D Aha, yes, it would be hard to sing along with either of those songs. ;)) I was so surprised when I found out that Wes sings the high part in "Shoreline"! (I didn't know the first few times that I heard it) ;))
I don't think I've heard most of the songs that you listed. ;)) Hmm, I think I may have heard "Atlantis", but I don't remember it very well. :- Yes, you are ambitious, but I'm sure that you can do the songs! :D
I love the lyrics to INYTLM! I haven't heard the song very much, so I'll have to listen to it again and see if it's doable. I hope to finish it. :)

Ooh,what kind of new recipie? :) I'm sure it'll turn out great!

It's a recipe that I found in a cooking magazine that we are subscribed to (it's called "Simple and Delicious"). The recipe is called "Creamy Scrambled Eggs". It has eggs and ham in it, but I substituted bacon for the ham since we didn't have any on hand. ;)) It turned out good! :)
I LOVE your avatar, btw! :D So pretty!

Quite welcome! Yes, maybe after this and the "Horsey Incident" Father has learned his lesson.... maybe. :|

We can hope so!

*cringes slightly as Djaq his the ground* Umm, yeah. We just won't speak of this again, O.K? How's the apple BTW? :)

*is still a little embarrassed about it* Yeah, thank you!
The apple is delicious! Thank you again! :)

Me? Plotting something? Why would you ever think that? ;;) ymwhisle *hides plans behind his back*

"I like peaches, I like cream. I was captain of the team!" Hmm, wrong quote.... "KHAAAANNNN!!!" Still not right.... :- No comment. ;)

The batting eyelashes doesn't work too well for a guy, just so you know...
;)

I have no idea what those quotes are from. ;)) ;) Would you please enlighten me?

Whoops! Correction: Vern is now 16 feet long and roughly 5 and a half feet tall. I was looking at the old statics....

Ah, that's better! The proportions for a dragon who is "a little over 8 feet long and roughly 18 inches tall" didn't really work in my mind. ;)) Thank you for clearing that up!

Oh, so were you happy you'll be home? Or did you think Florida sounded fun? Or...? ;))

Well, I would have liked to go to Florida, but I'll be fine staying home. ;))

Plans? Ack. :p In May we have a 3 day trip planned to Illinois and Wisconsin, July we have a vacation to Idaho--most likely for a week... I'll get used to it, and once we get to know him I'm sure we'll like him and be happy. ;)) But still. :p

Whoa! It sounds like a busy summer! ;)) :P I hope things go well with the foreign exchange student! My family has never done anything like that, but I've always been curious about those who have. ;)) :) It sounds like it could be difficult, but I'll pray that all goes well! :)

Ah, me too. :) :)

What are your favorite songs by him? :D

I'm off for now!

Thank you!!! We know one or two families who have done it, but I never expected us to. :p :) It'll take a LOT of getting used to I think--for me at least... And I really appreciate your prayers. :)

Some of my favorite Josh Groban songs? Hm... "Don't Give Up", "When You Say You Love Me", "Oceano", "You Raise Me Up", "Remember When It Rained", "L' Ultima Notte" (spell? ;)) ), "Awake", and a quite a few others. ;)) I can't remember the names probably since they're in a different language. ;)

*enters the Square, hobbles over to the fountain, and sits down stiffly*

Oof! I'm so sore! So, my sister and I got roped into yet another dance performance. It's crazy, but it's a lot of fun because we get to go practice with our old dance mates again! I forgot how exhausting practices were...

After teaching an hour-long class, then participating in a two-hour long practice, I was officially dead yesterday. I'm not as sore the mornings after practice as I used to be, but my feet hurt like crazy! And I have bruises all over my legs. :P I need to control my hard shoes a little better...

Well, well, lessee what catch up i have today...

I've been pretty good. Just trying to finish up my two english papers. ;)) One's a biographical paper about C.S.Lewis,and the other is a critical book review of The Screwtape Letters.
Ugh....homework. :P

Cool! I just had to write an essay on C.S. Lewis' essay "Why I Am Not A Pacifist" in his book Weight of Glory. It was pretty good, except I hate having to try and analyze Lewis' writing. Okay, we didn't have to analyze it, we just had to lay out his argument which wasn't much easier.

I'm a bit sick of home work too. I still have a lot of Latin translation to do today which I am avoiding like my good 'ol procrastinating self. :P

Awesome! I hope you enjoy the second season! It really is good. :) Have fun watching Doctor Who! It is one of the bestest shows ever. :) Are you referring to the 5th season with Matt Smith? I've only seen tid bits of that and I think I'm just going to wait until it comes out on DVD since we don't have a TV at our house. And it's hard to find them on the internet. :P

Hehe...my piano is an ancient Stark Grand Piano. It's actually not that bad, but I think that older pianos have to be tuned a lot more often. The one thing that really annoys me is that a lot of the keys are chipped and they hurt my fingers sometimes. :( It's not that bad and it's a pretty nice piano...if the pedal works.

Oh! I know how weird it is to play on a freshly tuned piano! I always feel like I'm playing the wrong thing... :P

*waves to Prince Cor and Vern*

I didn't know there was a chocolate tree in the Square!

Usually it's 10 for me. :p Lately it's been a bit better. :D I'm doing well, thank you! Braces I guess is a new topic. :p Me and 2 of my brothers are planning to get those on May 3.

Hehe, I'm typically very bad with catch up. I'll have a few days or so where I stay caught up and then I'll usually get carried away with school and other stuff and have to leave it for a while. :P

Ooo! You're all getting braces at the same time? My brother just recently got braces and I'll probably have to get them too sometime in the far future. My brother's mouth has just been so complicated, no one else has been able to get braces. It's crazy, but he had to have four teeth pulled, chains put up his gums to pull down his adult eye teeth which refused to grow in, and then he's going to have to get fake teeth for two adult teeth that don't exist! And he might have to get jaw surgery, but my parents haven't decided anything final on that one yet...poor kid.

I'm glad that yours is getting better! :D Aww, you passed it to Winty? You're a very giving person, but I think that this could have been one instance where you could have refrained. ;)

Heehee! I like to think of myself as generous, especially when it comes to sharing my laundry all over mine and my sister's room. :P I guess I could refrain from that too...

Yeah. ;)) I'm feeling better today than I did yesterday. :)

Yay! Good to hear that! :)

Hmm, I guess that's all for now! I'll be off to the Games and Blogs forum and then to Latin Translation!

God bless everyone and have a lovely afternoon! :)

Ruby: Yep, all at the same time! :D And another plus is that my best friend is also getting braces within the next 8 days. ;)) :p So yeah. Lots of people all at once. /:) :)

Aw, your poor brother! :( My older brother needs 4 teeth pulled first (Monday) and me and my younger brother need headgear. :p :p But other then that nothing too major I don't think. That doesn't sound too fun. :( I'm not really looking forward to headgear. At all. :p Our pastor's son had headgear a long time ago, and he liked it because he thought it made him look like an alien. :p Wow.
