PA, I thought they meant Gretsky too, but I can't help it, I'm Canadian. :P That's just how we roll.

And yes, I am going after this post- Ditto Town can do this to me sometimes, as you may recall- but yes, it has been too long. It would be nice to plan a night for some of us oldies to hang around the Square and spraff for a spell...facebook is simply not suited to good conversation for some of us. :p

Eep, JillPole (sounds so weird to call you that) you're not allowed to sneak in and out of the Square like that before I can reply!

Let's chat here Anna! I much prefer the atmosphere. *thoroughly demolishes her freshly picked apple-tree pomegranate since there's really no other way to get all the seeds* Anyone up for some tea and muffins from the Cup and Platter?

Ummmm... who's Wayne Gretzky? Should I be feeling horribly uncultured right now? Or only slightly ignorant of Canadian personalities?

Oh, I hate the feeling you get when you're just tired of blowing your nose and everything on your face hurts.

So what else have you been up to? I sometimes see you mention the plays you're involved in on Facebook.

In here, it is then! And tea and muffins sound lovely!

What have I been up to? Not much, other than hanging out with friends a few times. Well, that and learning more about the characters for my books. ;))

As for Wayne Gretzky...

What have you been up to?

edit:
Oh, and working on my room redo. (which is finally showing progress!) But that's boring...

*decides it's too late for a chocolate cappaccino muffin so gets bran instead, along with some chamomile tea*

So are the characters in your book pretty interesting then? I hope they live up to your dreams while still being able to carry the plot.

Oh hockey. That explains why I've never heard of him. Sounds like he was pretty amazing at what he did though.

I've been up to getting an internship in Atlanta Georgia I wasn't really expecting or wanting... but when they give you free housing and STILL pay you $7.00 an hour to learn everything they know about landscaping, it's hard to say no. I'll let you know if I have a southern accent by the end of summer. ;)

It's kind of a bummer though because I won't get to meet a certain NarniaWebber I was planning on meeting over Labor day. *sigh*

And I'm a designer! I don't think redoing rooms is boring! Are you repainting it or just rearranging furniture?

I find them interesting, but I don't know if everyone in the world would find them so. :)

Amazing at what he did? I should say so! I don't know why, but for some reason I had thought that even those that didn't know hockey, knew who he was. Apparently not. Oh, well! Doesn't bother me that much, I was just surprised. ;))

Wow, conga rats on the internship! I hope you enjoy it! Who were you hoping to see? Anyway, sorry it is falling through.

You didn't know I was redoing my room? That's odd! It's been a project of mine (and at times, my parents) for the last couple years! (I even mentioned it on my "ministry blog") It's kinda hard to go into all that now, though. Takes too long to explain it all. Maybe over a phone call sometime, or something?

I remember Prince Corin, 2ndtoOne, and PG&F. I haven't seen them around in forever, though. I miss them. Right now the main "oldies" (that aren't really that old) are me, Rising_Star, Bookwyrm, Marshwiggle, and Qwertykate88.

Good Mortereve everyone! How beist thou all? I'm good! :)

@ Fanny. Ah yes, they are great when they are all put together and running properly. :D It's just getting them there that can be.... taxing. ;))

Life's been good. Like I mentioned, been pretty busy for the last week, but everything has slowed back down now which is nice. :) How are things your way?

Yes, too true, too true. ;))

I'm glad life has been good for you- same here! Nothing new or terribly exciting... :)

Queen Susan: It sounds like you had a wonderful time at the Museum! And how did the Medieval reenactment go?

I finished the essay in three days, which is shorter than I usually take :p . So now I have two out of three essays done. I'm upset b/c I would have been able to skip one of the essays b/c I wrote the an essay about the exact same thing last year for the same subject but I didn't print that essay and the computer I wrote it on crashed so I don't have it :( . Now I'll have to write it again ...

Audio A is ok. I listened to the CD the other day and wasn't extremely happy with it, but at least it was only $3 :p . I'm glad you think Deas Vail is good, I love them alot :D . You should watch this vid :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJrBFx6YpWI

Oh dear! :( Were you successfully able to write that essay?

Heh, yes, it's always nice when you only spent a few dollars on something you ended up not liking. *nod* I'll watch the video when I get a chance! :)

*waves to all the returning SquareOnions* Great to see y'all back!

Neat! I may have missed it if you had mentioned it before because I didn't know. The jobs sound great! Is it complicated working in the kitchen of a restaurant or mostly enjoyable? I'm just curious because I've never been in that kind of environment. :) ;))
I've been really good, thank you! I've been working more on baking and cooking things. I'll be done with school in a couple weeks, so that will be nice. So, not much has been going on. I may have to play the piano at church this Sunday if my sister is sick. Speaking of that, I should go practice my hymns. ;))

:) Thanks! So far, I've absolutely loved working in the kitchen. Even during the busier times of my shift, it's been so much fun! The pace and atmosphere is for the most part pretty good, and there will be lots of witnessing opportunities as well, for which I'm excited. :)

I'm glad to hear you've been good! :) I hope the last couple weeks of school go well for you! :)

Hurrah for feeling better, Fanny! :D/ Life's been pretty normal for me, not too terrible by the grace of God. :) What have you been doing lately, m'dear?

Hurray! :) I'm glad life is normal at least- is it still so? :) God's grace is wonderful, is it not? I've been good, working, reading, doing stuff...nothing really remarkable or exciting, I guess. :)

Oh, and I forgot to comment on this before, you guys...
You guys called GtG, "The Great One"? Is it bad that I thought immediately of Wayne Gretzky when I read that? =)) I need help...

PA, I thought they meant Gretzky too, but I can't help it, I'm Canadian. :P That's just how we roll.

In reaction to Glenstorm's new nickname, my very first thought was "No, no, no, that can't be! Wayne Gretzky is The Great One!" ;)) You guessed it, I'm Canadian. :D And as long as no one around here gets nicknamed Sid the Kid, Alexander the Great, Grapes, Cujo, Super Mario, Mr. Hockey, The Moose, or any other famous hockey player's nickname, I'll be okay. ;) Well, if anyone gets nicknamed Alexander the Great, I really wouldn't mind. I don't like Alexander Ovechkin (the "famous" hockey player who bears that nickname) anyway. But all the others? They, for the most part, have special connotations/meanings in my house, and as such, there would be a continued amount of mixups... ;))

(no offense to yourself, of course, Glenstorm!)

Well, I should be off. I hope y'all have a good day!

*dances into the square singing "Scarecrow" by Between The Trees* I've had that song stuck in my head for like four days now. I think it's the only song thus far though that I doesn't bother me when it gets stuck in my head. :)

Aw, but what about our interesting debates? Actually, I guess we were just finished talking about music and we were going to stat talking about creation vs. evolution.

Is that where we left off? I miss our debates! How about we start here on creation and evolution?

Ruby: Ack, I'm sorry to hear that you've been sick! :( I hope you feel better soon! Praying for you!

Sadly, I'm still sick. I've had this same cough for like two weeks and it's getting really bothersome. Weird thing is, it's not like I'm really sick, I just keep coughing. And its' not like a horrible cough that won't stop, I'll just randomly cough now and then. So it sometimes feels like I'm getting better, but it never does! X(

How have you been doing? I've missed everyone on Narnia Web a lot!

Edmund P! Good to know that you're alive, even if you will be gone for ten pages. I understand, though, I don't always have enough time to get on here and post to all my wonderful friends on NW. :P

*waves to TheGentleWarrior*
Sorry to hear that everything's been crazy for your family! I hope things calm down soon, if they already haven't. :)

Yikes! Sounds like you've had rough lately.... :( Hope you get over your illness ASAP! *sends a Ruby's way*

Aw, thanks! Unfortunately, I still have a cough, but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. :) How have you and Vern been doing lately? Been up to mischief, no doubt.;)

*waves to Queen Susan*
Oooh! Your trip sounds like a lot of fun! I've been doing pretty good lately. I've been missing Narnia Web and am terribly behind. Nothing drastically interesting has been happening around here. Mostly the normal school, dance class, and more school. :) How are you? It's been like five pages since I was on here...

Ali!! How have you been these past few pages I've been gone?

eustacegirl, I love your graphics set! That song on your signature fits Edmund's character so perfectly! :)

*waves to Djaq* Thanks for your prayers! I still have this stupid cough, but it's not nearly so bad as it used to be! And I've been getting all my work done the same, so things are going well. How about you?

RawKr, I don't believe we've met before! Nice to see you on the Square. My name's Ruby or Dani. :)

*wave back to Bella* I've been doing very well! Bit sick, but not bad. Oh, I have to tell you this, because it's so funny. My family is baby sitting one of our friend's babies twice a week. Her name's Bella (not from twilight, it's short for Isabella). *chuckles* Anyway, she made me think of you. :) How have you been?

malkah! *hugs* Good to see you on the square! How's everything going?

Elsendor, I hope you stick around the Square, even though it has changed quite a bit. Speaking of changes, my name's Ruby or Dani. *extends hand*

*waves to King Lune, Lady Amalthea, Aravanna, sweetlilgurlie, and Princess Anna*

That's all I have time for now! I hope to be back with another post, hopefully before the next seven pages have gone by!

God bless, all!

Mortereve all!

For the first time I am akin to Aiden's dislike of chocolate.

Nah, you have to hate it a lot more before you can consider yourself akin to my dislike of chocolate. :P

Ah, so much closer. Sounds exciting!
I've been doing quite well, thank-you! With summer break so close, the mood is usually up, delightfully.

Yes, it is. We're into our "crunch time"—the final stretch. Should be good!
Mmm, same here. And, despite my dislike for warm weather, I have to admit that sunny days brighten up one's mood!

"The debt that Thomas paid."

"Well that's five letters! Try "death"! It's the key code. The debt that all men pay is death."

"How can you be sure?" The Princess Bride. Yep! It's been really fun (the whole quoting conversation)!
At first, none of us thought we would, but we've slowly adapted. ;))

"I just want to know it's not just something in my head or in my heart." NT1. It most certainly has!
Yeah, that's for sure.

Yes, they're intriguing. (No, you won't! :P )

They are, aren't they? (Yes, I will! ;) )

Okay, good! ;)) That's fine.

Now, when you listen to a podcast, I'll read the paper on music. Deal?

That's good! :) Yeah, it's very helpful to re-watch it!

Yup, definitely. You've probably seen them hundreds of time, huh?

We figured that since you liked him and Allan was already taken, he was your most logical choice. :)

But, how did you know I liked Roy?

The young lady waves to Adrian and wonders if he’s even called that anymore.

I don't believe I ever was called that! ;)) Though I'm always up for a new nickname. ;)

But he’s such a nice gentleman! Granted Laurie is more flamboyant...

Indeed he is!

*enjoys reading through the conversations of old times from early this morning*

*waves to F2*

Is that where we left off? I miss our debates! How about we start here on creation and evolution?

Sounds good. *is not sure how to start, though*
Oh, BTW, in conclusion to our music discussion, I had asked, out of curiosity, what denomination your family/church is.

Well, I'm off. Mortereve all!

Oh, BTW, in conclusion to our music discussion, I had asked, out of curiosity, what denomination your family/church is.

It probably won't be much of a debate, since I'm guessing we'll agree for the most part. But who knows? I guess I'll start. I believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible. I believe that God created the world in six days, by the Word of His power and that reading in any type of evolutionary process into the Scriptures is wrong and not correct. That's basically what I believe. :)

If you don't mind, I think I'll PM you about my church denomination. :)

God bless, everyone! I must be running!

*runs into the square screaming "Around the Clock" (by TRS) at the top of her lungs* I'm a little hyper, and I CANNOT get that song out of my head. No problem though, I love it :p .

Aww, Glen, I'm sorry you missed a concert. What concert was it? We missed one back in Jan. (due to snow) and I'm still sad about that one. I'm also fine. =]

Owl City. It's in two days :(( . It's going to take me awhile to get over this one...

That's a shame. But I figured out why he cares more about painting than us... he makes money painting. I guess you can't blame him for that, eh?

I suppose not, seeing I might be taking some time off to earn some money soon :p . I want to buy a CD! :p

lol, I see. Well, if you get unlimited DVDs and online stuff, it sounds like it's a pretty expensive plan.

lol yeah probably, but it suprises me b/c my mom hates that we watch so much TV :p . Whatever, she mainly only lets us get documentaries anyway :p .

Ahh, I see. Thanks!

no problem! :)

Lol. :P I don't listen to a many different kinds of music. My favorite at the moment is Hayley Westenra and also David Klinkenberg. Hayley is a classical singer and David is a violinist. Boring much? ;)

actually not really. Like I said I listen to pretty much anything. I used to be obsessed with classical/celtic music, so Hayley was one of my faves (along with Josh Groban, but I'm still very much in to him ;) ). Never heard of David Klinkenberg...I used to listen to David Cerone when I played violin... :)

Ah, I just saw that. ;)) Yep, that's what it is. Would you like to join, Ali? :D

lols ure ;)) . Do I just have to put it in my sig? :)

Oh, and I forgot to comment on this before, you guys...

Yep :p

Ok as long as you watch it! :p

good, just getting over a cold. How are you? Btw would you mind if I joined your little creation debate *pretty please* :p .

*Cor and Vern enter the Square humming "Layla"*

Mortereve all! Well, this week has been quite pleasant so far. The temp has been around the 70's all week which has been quite nice. :)

Oh yes, an update on KingLune: You will all be glad to hear that the Royal Father, Husband and Acquaintance is on the mend. Lady A is taking good care of him and the chocolates from the fair miss Djaq were greatly appreciated. *bows in Djaq general direction*

Now, for catching up:

*Cor and Vern take their spots by the fountain and beginning discussing plans for next week*

-------------------------

@ Ali. Woohoo! Glad you finally got to see it and that you liked it so much!!! :D :D Of course, my loyalty's are to the 95 version, but I suppose it's fine to like both equally. ;) :p

@ Eslendor. Welcome to Ditto Town..... again! I'm afraid much has changed since you were last here, I only recognize three of the names you mentioned. Zicva left the RP's abotu a month ago and I'm not sure about the others....

@ Jojo. Everything is going quite smoothly, actually. We already have the invitations decided upon and being made as we speak. :) Ah yes.... next weekend, actually. I'll be... *decides not to say how old he'll be for the time being*... well, let's just say I'll be older than I am now. ;)

@ NN. I tried starting with episode 1, but no one has it up it seems. :-s I tried youtube and Google video..... :( *sigh* I guess I'll just have to buy the season on DVD, eh? ;)

@ Rose. That would be most excellent! :D Yes, I've never had that many pages go by before, but just catching-up on a weeks worth can be a pain. :p
Quite welcome! :) Well, maybe you'll be able to get caught up on your sleep during the summer... or not. Depends on if you take advantage of summer break to stay up until all hours of the morning. :p ;)

*I've been quite well, thank you. Trying to keep an eye on Cor as usual, making sure he does not tick off any of the ladies in the Square again. ;) Ah yes, the tapestries... I still have yet to live that one down. ;;)) Glad to hear you have been well! That's fine. Actually, if you happen to have any fresh fruit or banana bread or something of the like I enjoy those. :) And of course there's always chocolate. :p *

Yes, it is a very bad habit that we seem to be so good at. :p

@ Djaq.

Oh, not particularly. Nothing important. Do you happen to have another apple? ;;) :p

Uhh, I think so... *looks through bag* Here you go! :D *tosses a chocolate and peanut butter covered apple at Djaq. Wrapped in foil, of course.*

Hmm. I'm not sure if I believe you. . . /:)

Really, Vern? And what did he tell you? :p

What's there not to believe? :-

*Oh nothing really.... Just something about picking on you and pushing you into the fountain. Nothing major. :) *

It was sort of pre-planned. The idea had been mentioned, but nothing had really been decided. Yeah, it was fun!

Ah, alright. I knew that apparently Jo had already planned to switch up names with some of here friends, but I wasn't sure about the Wonderland thing. Yes, it twas! :D

I'd like to send you a HUGE congratulations on becoming a Welcoming Committee member!!!! :D :D/ :-bd I was very excited for you when I found out!

Thank you! :D It was a surprise and an honor to be offered the position. I just hope I do well... Thanks again!

@ Bella. Thank you! Thank you! *bows* True, but since I mix some whole wheat into the pizza crust, it's healthy. ;)

*waves to Anna and JillPole*

@ Ara. Ara!!! So good to see you stop by! :D I'm afraid Vern has grown quite a bit since you last saw him. He's now a little over 8 feet long and roughly 18 inches tall. :)

*Granted, I'm never too big for a pat on the head or a scale rub. :) ;) *

*was slightly taken aback by Sweeet mentioning "PrinceCor" and then not having seen him in awhile* :p

@ Fanny. Two things that have come up that are exiting, well for em anyway: I take Spring Break next week and my birthday is next Friday! :D Probably not that big for most people, but I'm looking forward to it. :)

------------------------------

Alright, that does it for me I think. :) Better get back to the castle and finish my last few subjects.

See ya'll later!

*Cor and Vern exit the Square*

Been too long ... as this post will probably be ;)) Hey ho, all! :D

Harkening back to page 147, Lark, how goeth the dissecting? :)

Let's see, this is a yes or no question, and there's a reasonably good chance the answer is 'no' because the only Chesterton I've read so far is The Man Who Was Thursday, Manalive, The Wisdom of Father Brown, and The Napoleon of Nottingham Hill. And maybe a poem... Lepanto? *checks* "The North is full of tangled things and texts and aching eyes." Yep, that's the one I read.

Ahaha, wups, I remember leaving the title blank in my post, thinking I'd better fill in the blank before I hit "Submit" ... and totally forgot. :P The name is *Ta-Da* .

Djaq and flam, how are all your cute wee nieces and nephews doing? :D (I can't recall just how many of each gender.)

Ah, candy pizzas, IlF. We have those here too (although ours don't come in pizza boxes: that's a cool idea), as well as gummy hamburgers, hotdogs, french fries, etc. Kinda cool to look at and quite sweet to eat. :p

What kind of an apple isn't an apple?
If there were no food left, what could people do?

1) When it's an orange. 2) Don't know :P

Hi Benjamin! :D Wow, you have a lovely, big family with eleven siblings. Where do you come in the line?

sweeet, that's cool about your ice-skating. Are you still doing it or is the season basically over now? Here our indoor rinks are open for a bit longer, I think.

*calls out a huge HELLO to Ruby, GtG, Fanny, Elsendor (I don't think we've met before: johobbit at your service :) ), Edmund P (our new Tuesday Welcomer :D), Bella (I hope your sleeping pattern is improving), PA, lover of narnia, TGW, p_o_n (lovely prom photo!), malkah (welcome back again, and all the best with your scholarship applications: these are for college or university, I presume?)*

@ Jo. It's actually quite easy to keep that from happening: just tell Vern not to breath on the drink. ;) No, actually we use straws* (long straws) to keep from bumping heads too much and also to keep the drink from boiling.

:)) Oh my, you know how in fiction books you come across characters you love so much you wish they were real? Well, Vern is fast becoming one of those in my heart and mind. :D (Don't let him hear this because I know he thinks we think he's real, and he thinks he's real, so I don't want to cause any offense. *hopes she hasn't opened a kettle of worms* :P )

@ Queen Susan: Well, it takes us about 3 hours max to get to the north-east corner of Ohio, so it's easily within a morning's drive. It sounds like you're having a wonderful trip. :D

Louise the First!!! That's great you've been able to work on your writing. And, whose concerto are you playing for the concert? Does someone accompany you, or do you play alone? Btw, that's a good quote in your signature! EDIT: Ah, I see you named the piece later. Thanks!

Wow, lots of people have returned to grace us with their presence!

I wonder if anyone will return to grace us with their presents? ;)) ;)

RawKr, welcome to the Town Square. I think you will fit in fine with all these SquareOnions. Yes, that is the unofficial name for the folk in the Square. They can also be called Dittopians, I believe? Correct me if I'm wrong, those of you who have been around longer than have I.

So, Aiden, you and Queen Susan have been to the same Creation museum? Cool. Where in Ohio is it? Hmm, I think I asked this earlier, but forgot the answer: is it near Cincinnati?

It's funny, I've been in the Square longer than most people here, but I'm one of the youngest.

You ol' veteran, you! Hey, I just realize that you and I joined NarniaWeb only a few months apart. :) Btw, I hope the play goes smashingly! :D Remind me your role again? *notes later it's "John Brooke"* Aha. Hey, how'd you get the nickname "Nick" by Louise the First? *curious Jo*

Okay, my curiousity will not be quelled: what is "Team Hoodie"? ;)) EDIT: Ah, I see this was answered later. :)

Bella, I bet I know you might have taken your seasoned pork chop (by mistake, of course) ... possibly Vern? You know how he can't resist BBQ. :p

Stargazing! What a good idea!

D.e.f.i.n.i.t.e.l.y. Our youngest son has a telescope, which we enjoy very much, but I still love the naked eye approach as one scans, sans instrument, the vast, black and starry vista from horizon to zenith to horizon.

Wow, Narnian at Heart, sounds like you had a fantastic time in The City. :D Good to see you in the Square again here.

*laughs uproariously at the banter between the Royal Family* :)) I do hope KingLune hasn't suffered overly much. And say, do be careful of that Chocolate Tree, Lady A. ;) Wise choice to include a fruit in your chocolatey-consumption. :p

My Romper Room mirror just went blank.

You remember that too, dear Lady? "And I see Joey and Mary and Bobby and Suzy and ... " and I don't recall them ever saying my name. 8-| "JoAnne", yes, but not with an "a" on the end.

Yeah, Djaq, I'm thrilled PrinceCor has joined us on the Welcoming Committee. :D

Wowser, lookee who's in the Square! Aravanna and JillPole!!! *sighs a contented sigh* Fantastic about your internship, Ara! Will the work be quite different than last summer? Surely the location will be (and the accommodation). ;)

PA, I thought they meant Gretsky too, but I can't help it, I'm Canadian. :P That's just how we roll.

Yep, that's exactly who I thought of too. ;))

Hey, hi, PrinceCor (right above me ^) :D And Vern, what about a treat today?
