Hey,everyone!
So,I've recently watched The Blind Side and the new Sherlock Holmes movie. LOVED the score in the last one! The first one was really good too.
Also, mom ordered my school books for next year, and I have to take Plane Geometry. (It was either that or Algerbra II or Pre-calculus.
)
Alright,quick catch-up...
Cor:First of all,I must say your avy is AWESOME!! That's such an awesome picture of them!
I don't think I've asked before, but do you like the Beach Boys?
Not going wasn't an option for me. I usually end up going to these things because of my little sisters. There was a scavenger hunt for the "older" kids(me,Sister1,and our 2nd,3rd,or 4th cousin who's a little older than Sister1.) It was easy...until I forgot where the First Aid Kit was.
Hehe.
@Vern: P-poison? You poor dragon!
Djaq:Oh,I didn't mean that I thought you would gag. I was just poking fun at a few people I know in real life.
Hmmm...well maybe you could use two cans instead of one so there's more crust. Do you think that would work?
I guess I didn't make much sense before.
![]()
Sorry.
Nothing to apologize for!
So do you and your sister play by ear? Wow,that's so cool about your brother-in-law and dad! My dad isn't very musical at all.
I will. I still haven't talked to him about it.
I keep forgetting.
Thanks! I love the roses on it.
Dani: You're certainly missed when you aren't here, too.
What you sis said really makes sense. Thanks for sharing it with me!
I could probably do a double major--music and history with a minor in theatre. I heard that Jon Foreman had four majors in college.
(music,philosophy,economics,and "interdisciplinary")
Yay! Another reader! That's exactly the same for me,excpet I have more trouble figuring out chords. I'm better with melodies. I figured out the first past of "Hey" by Leeland "by ear" but I played along with my iPod to make sure I got it right.
Me too! I really wish they'd open more categories for voting.
Bah,there's nothing wrong with being a fangirl as long as you're not the crazy type. (I'm sure you and your sister aren't
)
Awww, thank you. (you know it's not fair that I've never ever met the nicest people I know!) I won last year, but I was in Class I(there's five classes). I'm really nervous this year.
Of course I'll let you know!
It's actually the same day as the Dove Awards.
flam: I'm doing great! Whats FlambeauWriMo?
Is that like NaNoWriMo?
Ali: That sounds annoying. (having to re-write a paper that you did last year)
I read "The Death of Hector" for school and Achilles sounded like a creep.
I saw where you said you bought that Remedy Drive cd...wasn't it like $3 on CBD? Anyways, are you enjoying it?
I've never listened to them.
NN:I didn't mean that the actual details bore you...just the details of shopping.
CSLweisNarnia: I fare well. Hehe,I'm so excited about summer.
jo: The frog wasn't as much fun as the pig,but it was still interesting. I got to skin it!
But it's...erm,insides,were kinda boring.
The tongue was really weird though.
I do really love music. I don't have much experience in theory though...
I know this sounds kinda dumb because it's my choice what I major in,but I'm a little worried about what certain people close to me will think about my aspiring to be a performer.
*waves to lover of narnia* Nope,I don't do an RP. I'm too busy.
Sister1 said she's going to buy me an advanced Harry Potter piano book! She really likes Harry Potter, and I really like playing hard music so that'll work out nicely.
Alright looks like I'm done! *hits Submit button*
*can't quite remember all she was going to comment on, since it's been so long* Oh, yes, I was going to say that Cor's (not so new) haircut looked very nice.
Mel, I can't say that scene was one of my favorite parts of the movie, but that would be because I thoroughly enjoyed the entire film.
Well, so did I. But that was the scene that most interested me from the trailers, so I guess it stood out a bit more than the rest.
A friend (a NarniaWebber, actually) sent me another of his, [title missing here?], but I haven't had a chance to start it yet. Anyone hear read it?
Let's see, this is a yes or no question, and there's a reasonably good chance the answer is 'no' because the only Chesterton I've read so far is The Man Who Was Thursday, Manalive, The Wisdom of Father Brown, and The Napoleon of Nottingham Hill. And maybe a poem... Lepanto? *checks* "The North is full of tangled things and texts and aching eyes." Yep, that's the one I read.
I'm also looking forward to seeing your quilt when it's done, ILF.
lover of narnia, where would 'participated in the past but not an active RP'er' fall in your poll?
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
Mortereve all!
*waves to F2*
it was both
. The mods switched their usernames around and there was an Alice in Wonderland kind of theme going on. It was fun

Yeah, I could see the aftermath of it all, and I kind of got the gist of what had gone on. Plus I was here for last year's April Fool's... there were surprisingly fewer jokes this year.
The question is....of all the people that come in this town square (which is a ton) How many people do RP's?
Good question... something I'd like to know myself. In response, not I.
Yes, thanks, Aiden, we had a lovely Easter, 'though the weather was a bit too warm for my liking. I did manage to see Venus and Mercury together on Monday night in the western sky. Beautiful! 'Tis a rainy week here now, so I'm thankful for that one opportunity.
Glad to hear it. Yeah, the weather here was a bit too warm, too. Oh, that's neat! Last week was extremely rainy, probably the most we've had in a long time, but this week has been nice.
NN:I didn't mean that the actual details bore you...just the details of shopping.

Yeah they had no news stories. But there were a few false bits in the Rumors section, and something about Jill's outfit in Costumes. Those were rather funny
So, have you started watching Season 2 of Robin Hood yet? I haven't (so if you have, please don't tell me anything that should be in a spoiler box

He is kind of a creep . When I was younger I always liked him but after reading the "real" story, you find out what a monster he is

Yeah, I think this is the first year in a long time they haven't had any news stories! I think they had something about a new posting policy in the Spare Oom, or something. I didn't see it, I only heard about it. And then, of course, there was the NarniaFans.com logo on the homepage. But, even in the Town Square, usually more people do weird stuff, like last year, several people switched avatars/signatures, and it got really confusing!
No, I haven't started Season 2, yet. *goes to see if it's been uploaded to YouTube yet* Nope, not yet. There are other places I can see it, but I'll probably wait till it's on YouTube.

Oh,gosh,my aunt just brought me and my sisters some belated Easter candy. I so don't need this.

I hope you are all having lovely days today! The weather has been sooo pretty down here!! Spring is finally here!
And now, catchup...
Cool! I have *thinks.....then counts* nine, six nephews and 3 nieces and one more (nephew or niece not sure which) on the way
Wow, I think you might end up passing me at some point.
And that's great about the nephew or niece that is on the way!
Congratulations!
I would love to! I'll go and see if I have enough room for it.... *checks* Ah there we go! Hows it look on me?
lol
Yay! Lol, it looks great on you!
I'll probably be the same way when comes the time.
None of my sisters are married though, but two of them have already moved out.
![]()
Yeah. Do you get to see your older sisters often?
How many siblings do you have? I think I knew at one point, but I can't remember now.
I've sort of played the piano all my life. My mom's a classical musician and we own a grand piano. I always knew how to read music, but about 6 months ago, I started seriously taking lessons. Doing finger exercises, learning actual pieces, and trying to advance. I played violin until I was 10, which was how I learned to read music.
I'm thinking about picking up violin again sometime too...but right now, I'm just trying to focus on piano.
Goodness! I'm rambling a lot today.
![]()
That's really neat!! Don't worry about rambling; I enjoyed it!
Oh! That's so cool that you'll probably get to play in the Square! I'm glad to hear that lessons are going well. They sound like a lot of fun! Sometime, you'll have to record something of your mandolin playing for us so that we can hear your Chris Thile skills.
(Is that how you spell his name?)
Yep, I'm excited! There's a video on facebook of my group playing "Boil 'em cabbage down" on our mandolins, and I think I might be able to send you the link, if you're interested.
(And, yes, I think that is how you spell his name)
It seems to be the season for babies...there must be four or five mothers in our church who are either pregnant, have just had a baby, or are going to within the next couple of weeks. It's crazy! It's also very exciting. And I love babies, they are so cute. My sister and I are baby hogs. I don't think the young mothers mind much though.
![]()
That's great!
Last Sunday, my sister's twins went to church for the first time, and my other sister took her baby girl to church too, and then another girl who recently had a baby had her girl there, so there were four babies and it was really fun!
I held Julia and she was calm for most of the music service, but I took her back to the nursery* before the sermon started because she was getting fussy. (* It isn't an official nursery and no one "works" back there, so it was just me until my sister came back after the music ended and then my mom brought Jackson back
)
I believe that we now have a Much, so we're well on our way!
"You tell us what you've got..."
This could work! "Be honest with us..."
"...'cause looking around there's no sign of you..."
"I don't remember one jump or one leap..."
We did that a lot, didn't we?
ROFL!! *has a mental image of Djaq with Chris Thile's hair-do from 'This Side'* No, you can't pull it off either!
Uh-huh!
Oh dear! You had to go there, didn't you?!
As you can probably tell, I'm having a lot of fun with it.

I was expecting something along the lines of the usual really weird fantasy TV shows, but was pleasantly surprised at how tame it was on the strangeness and how it spent more time on characters than on "look at that cool fight scene!" or "look at that freaky monster!!".
Also, there was only a very few groan worthy moments. A major plus in my book.

. I mostly listen to alt rock so yeah, even though it's not screamo or something, my parents still don't like my younger siblings to listen in
.
It's funny b/c in my family we've never had a baby that was "newborn" size- we were all born 8 lbs or more
. My baby brother was 10 lbs when he was born, though now he's more like 33 lbs
.
Aha, I see. Yeah, I've seen your posts in the favorite music thread.
Wow, 10 lbs is a big baby!
*waves to starkat and Valia* Hello there!
*laughs at the Capt. Cor posts and all of the April 1st fun* That was a fun day!
TweedleDee: Djaq
You are correct. I was TweedleDee for a day and had lots of fun!
Do make a habit of it!
I shall try.
Oh, ok, so... "This guy's got evidence; he's got everything. We have a story; we have nothing."
Good!
That's not quite all of the line. The rest of it is "For one brief moment the Gates family can hold its head up. Now, we're a bunch of crazies." I'll go ahead with the next line... "But we're not liars."
"I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may tell the truth." Hogans Heroes.

Lol, great comeback. "You are a liar." Robin Hood
Just so you know, we've been doing this quoting conversation for over a year!! I went back and looked it up yesterday. I think the first quote was here.
(random side note: I used waaaayy too many exclamation points back then!!!!!!
)
(Um, actually I am, but whatever.) Yeah, it is. I agree about Riley's lines... "That... was... brilliant!"
(I'm not sure what I meant when I typed that, but it probably made sense at the time...just ignore it. )
Yeah, that's a great line!
I'm going to unSM-ify this. Hope you don't mind, but it's rather a pain to color everything, and we're not saying anything secret...
It's a shame you'll likely won't ever get to be in a play. I take for granted that I'm going to be in ours every year.
*laughs out loud at the "unSM-ify"* That's fine.
I probably wouldn't be very good anyway, so it may not be such a great loss.
Fine...
It's a mite confusing at times.
He is funny, but every time he says something, he precedes it with "I'm not trying to be funny..."
Mmm, same here.
True. "I'm not being funny, maybe you should!"
Don't apologize. Remember, you're a mod. You have special privileges.
Right! I am. How could I forget?
Hey, you know, you need someone to give you all your brilliant ideas.
It might as well be you, right? If someone else gives them to me though, they aren't my brilliant ideas...
Like I figured, I did nothing at all. What did you do?
I was one of the mods who changed into an Alice in Wonderland character. I was TweedleDee and Val was Tweedledum.
*waves to stardf*
Lol, I'm having alot of fun being assistant director. It's exciting to see all the plays and stuff. How're you doing?
That's great! What are some of the things that you do?
I'm doing great! I'm planning a few sewing projects to get started on soon so I'm excited about that and other than that...not much is going on.
Ooooh, Djaq and flam, Juliette is adorable. I can't resist little babies, I must admit. And the twins ... my, but their eyes are so bright! It's kind of sad our eyes dim as we age.*gawks in awe at Djaq's ketchup post*
![]()
Yes, she's soo cute (well, they all are)!
Mmhmm, their eyes are so dark and bright! It looks like they will be brown. My sister was kind of hoping that one would have brown eyes and the other would have blue, but both brown is good too.
Yes, that post took a while to type up.
Wow, Djaq, that post you wrote before things got out of hand is still an awesome length.
Thanks! I guess I talk to quite a few people on here.
*waves happily to sweeet*! I'm VERY glad to hear that you are still a girl!
Not that I was worried, but it would have been a little awkward.
Well, I thought he did. Any other Robin Hood fans have some input?
About if Guy actually loved Marian? I think that he did. It wasn't a pure love and it was driven by a want of power over her at times, but I think that he did love her. (did that make sense? )
Congratulations Djaq on your new little relation!
How is she doing?
Thank you very much! She and my sister are doing very well! She is a very healthy baby!
I was listening to some of their songs about half an hour ago- they have a nice style!
I liked it!
I'm glad to hear it! Do you have a favorite song of the ones that you've listened to?
How have you been doing lately?
Oh,I didn't mean that I thought you would gag.
I was just poking fun at a few people I know in real life.
![]()
Oh, I know. It's not a big deal.
Hmmm...well maybe you could use two cans instead of one so there's more crust. Do you think that would work?
![]()
Hmm, it might work. I make something that I call "little pizzas" and I use crescent rolls for them sometimes and it does work really well for a "crust". Usually I use big biscuits (like, the "grands", or something), though. I can send you or post a recipe, if you're interested.
So do you and your sister play by ear? Wow,that's so cool about your brother-in-law and dad!
My dad isn't very musical at all.
I will.I still haven't talked to him about it.

I'm trying to play by ear more now. My sister does some, but not very much. There's a video of me playing "Sea of Faces" by Kutless here. It's one of the first songs I've done by ear, so it's not the greatest.
Do you play by ear much?
Let me know how it goes when you do talk to him!

lol I don't think I could have gone a month without your graphics!
Well have fun writing!
;)) I'm not surprised. We both disliked it a lot.
I don't know, but you're right, they do!
They're the only good part about season 3. Their interaction is a lot more 'brotherly', which I find neat (yes, Allan still teases Much a lot, and Much still gets annoyed with Allan, but it's not as spiteful as it used to be), and they get paired together a lot in whatever the gang is doing (sort of how Will and Allan were always paired together in season 1). Aaaannnd then episode 12 had to happen and ruin everything (well, everything that wasn't already ruined).![]()
lol I love how Much gets so annoyed

that's kind of a hard decision. Both are very fun, but I must say that I am better at crocheting than at knitting. How neat that you've each before! What have you made?

Two scarfs
Attempted to make some slippers
Ahh I'm not able to remember all of them! I know I have done quite a lot more than that I'll keep trying to remember.....
Knitting:

Lots of scarfs!
I have done more crocheting but I'm just getting into knitting more.....

Yes, I'm glad that I'm a girl too.
Dee--we have claim names for specific gang members now for Team Hoodie? Sheesh! And I never knew! I'm assuming that you're Will Scarlett. But if you're not and no one is, I'll be perfectly happy to take him!
Life for me has been really nice and relaxed. I'm on Spring Break, so I don't have any "normal" school. I do have college classes though, but as their break already happened and I can't skip classes for a week without getting an awful dent in my grade, I have to go. I like the class, though.
I've been practicing Ice Skating lately! It's so much fun! I took a few months of lessons back when I was ten or eleven, and I really do miss it. (especially when the Olympics are on ) I've found that while I don't like going round and round in circles on an ice rink (which is what happens when it's busy) I do like to go slow and practice things. It's just so satisfying to me for some reason.

I think we're kind of mixed up here. After Patrick says, "It's on the internet, there's not stopping it." there are a bunch of other lines we missed. He continues and says, "they have no understanding." And Ben says something along the lines of, "But you know the truth, you heard the story from Grandpa Charles." That's when Patrick starts that bit about "This guy's got evidence..." and so on. Now, your line of Ben's that you just quoted actually goes on, too: "Look, Wilkinson's saying that Thomas Gates was the mastermind of one of the darkest hours in US history, and he burned the diary page to cover that up. And you and I both know, he burned the page to keep Booth's men from finding the treasure, and that's what we're doing to prove. And there's only one way we can do it."
Ok, does that clear things up a bit?
Lol, great comeback.

Yes, that makes perfect sense. My thoughts exactly!
BTW, we haven't talked about this in a while, but there have been several new podcasts of late. Have you heard them?
EDIT: Are you still planning on scanning and sending me those music pamphlets?
I'm not sure how long I will be down here but it will probably be a while.
Oh, I see. So, basically, just until you don't get any more business?
I will when I end up watching it.
Good, thanks.
I'm off. Mortereve all!

Yeah pretty much, though I will probably fly back every once and a while to see my Brothers and Sisters and Mom (my Dad is with me). And then maybe in the Summer I will be going to Colorado to do some painting up there. Nothings for sure right now and will not be for a while

Gotcha, that makes sense. So, you're really into painting, huh?
How've you been doing of late? How much of Robin Hood have you seen?
