how doth the little crocodile?
how's that ?
*waves back*
no! u know, the poem.
how doth the little crocodile improve his shining tail, and pour the waters of the nile on every golden scale. how cheerfully he seems to grin, how neatly spred his claws. and welcomes little fishes in with gently smiling jaws. ^_^
i believe that is in the book......................

^lol i know, just trying to be annoying
Well, I was going to quote Father William, but it came out all wrong.
HOWEVER! We could have Soup, Soup of the evening, be-utiful so-up with our tea.
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
how coincidental is this? on this fine april day, i first had tea, then ate noodles and soup, and now tea. a-hee, interesting.
and i think the weather's playing an april fool's on us - eighty degrees in March! tomorrow it's going to snow, i'll warrant.
RL Sibling: CSLewisNarnia
Ugh. I'm too tired to post a catch up now, but I wanted to pop in and post something of a bit more substance before tip-toeing off to collapse on my bed.
Let's just say the day has not gone as I had planned it. I was supposed to have my recorded speech turned in by now, but I was too tired to get it right and as much as I've worked on memorizing it, I kept stumbling over paragraphs and words and having to start over again. Erg. I'm fed up with myself.
And there's so much I have to do before tomorrow. How has everyone's Fool's Day turned out? I hope no one was traumatically traumatized by a traumatic prank. (That was bad) Anyway, on our local Christian station, I didn't hear the most of it, but I know the prank had something to do with an ambulance...
Anyway...I'll be off now, leave you all with that meager pathetic post. I feel ashamed of the wretched thing, but ah well.
God bless!

wow. it's like a whole new land. you can't recongnize anyone!
btw hobbitkat- ravens were white before apollo changed them to black for supposedly lying to him which they did not. he just thought they did.
I have also heard that Raven was once white, but as a trickster, he was punished when a trick went wrong and coated him in soot so that his coat is forever black. I believe it is an old Indian (Native American) tale.
^never heard that one. only the Greek legend I told
Ravens were indeed often portrayed as emblems of a trickster deity among Native American tribes, so it seems appropriate for today.
I imagine most everyone has seen that Google is calling itself "Topeka" now, since that city in Kansas changed its name to "Google" for the day.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Come on, now. Everyone knows that the real thing ravens and writing desks have in common is that both of them, when taken their limit as x approaches negative infinity, equal 12.
(On a side note, did you know that Lewis Carroll was a renowned mathematician, as well as a photographer? The Alice series was more or less a diversion he did for a friend's daughter.)
Oh, and question? Do you think pigs have wings? I think they do, but like chickens, they can't use them to fly.

*comes in, without feeling like April Fool's*
Well.... I guess I'd like to talk of my sister and my April fool's joke-- with correct grammer and capitalization, of course. We put each other's Narniaweb username as our facebook names since a lot of people are confused as to which one's Aslanisthebest/Bella and which one's CSLewisNarnia/Ella. That was utterly fantabulous, of course.
I had planned to call a couple narniawebbers with a few tricks up my sleeve, but that didn't work out this year. Maybe next time.
Walrus, you're the fellow that ate the baby clams, isn't that so? =(
Pigs have wings but can't fly? I've seen 'em fly, though!

*Cor and Vern enter the near empty Square on this pleasant April night, both quite pleased with themselves on their respective pranks/gags*
Ahh, it was so much fun being "Capt. Cor" for the day. I was contemplating taking on the persona of Batman, but I figured that would be too much of a given. Also, KingLune likes to point out that I act like Jack Sparrow a good deal of the time, though I'm not aware of it....
*It was a bit tiring for em, though. Trying to keep up with you all day and make sure you didn't get into too much trouble. *
Hold on, you had to keep an eye on me? Who was it that replaced KingLunes nice slippers with the old chewed upon ones from a year or two ago? Also, who was it that "borrowed" the hen that Lady A was going to cook tomorrow? Hmm??
*Yes, well.... No comment. *
I figured as much.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed our slightly off kilter posts today and also hope everyone has had a good (and safe) April Fools day!!
Looking forward to talking with all of you tomorrow, hopefully in your right minds.

Good Mortereve everyone!
I must say yesterday was the most confusing day I've had on NW yet. The mods changing names was actually kinda fun...it let kept me guessing who was who. It was like I was talking to a new person! The Logo change between here and Narniafans.com was fun, but I must say I was worried about the "policy" in the spareoom. It looked so real!
Luckily this morning I found out that is was all a joke brought to us by our kind mods.
*bounces about, enjoying her break from school....only if it's for just a day or two*
Today is good friday and I have no school which is delightful. I plan to waste it away with celebrating my Mothers birthday!
Which actually it's waisting it at all. Me, my siblings, and my Dad decorated it yesterday which was tons of fun.
Anyway, I'm glad now that Narnia Web is back to normal, even though some of our mods are still posing as fictitious characters from Underland I've figured out a few of them:
The White Rabbit: Rising_Star
TweedleDee: Djaq
TweedleDum: Valient_Lucy
Mad Hatter: Bookwyrm
Hobbitkat: StarKat
I'm not sure about the rest

I'm glad your back to yourself Cor. And I think your Father is too. I'm glad you had a good day sailing about as "Captain Cor". Though the whole time we were considering a mental institution would be better for you to be in.
Just kidding!
Have a nice day everyone one!

Mortereve all!
well he said
That pretty much shows to me that his feelings weren't really genuine. Yeah, I loved the wedding tooSpoilerhe only wanted to marry her b/c she could "cleanse him off his sin" b/c she was so innocent.. Good thing
Another good thing is that Much has good sense, and knows what he should do, unlike Robin. I got rather mad at him in this episodeSpoilerGuy didn't run after Marian though or he would have seen Robin.![]()
![]()
.
Well, I didn't think that was the only reason he wanted to marry her. I still thought he cared for her... and that was sort of a bonus for marrying her.
You got mad at Robin? Yeah, so did I. And he was so rude to Much.
NN95:Hehe,thanks.
It's not my best poem, but it still works.
I've been fantastic!I went shopping yesterday, which was so much fun because I hadn't been to the mall in forever. But I'll spare you the details, since I predict they'll most likely bore you.
![]()
lol, I guess.
That's great! Oh, details never bore me... except maybe when they're about shopping...
Thanks! As you can see i have not been posting much
I don't have much time at all!
Yeah... how long will you be down there?
My sister watched the movie "North & South" where he plays as the main character I hope to watch it soon too.
Yeah, that's right, he's in that, too. Tell me if it's any good!
@ NN. Hmm, that must be a different version than the two I'm familiar with. Both of those scores have been released dozens of time on various record labels.
Well, in that case you should probably be able to see it at your local IMAX then.
![]()
I suppose. Yeah, I'll bet!
I sure hope so.
I'm back to catch-up before it gets out of hand again.
![]()
![]()
Do make a habit of it!
That part goes after this line (which I finally know!). "You know the truth, that's all that matters. You heard the story from Grandpa Charles."
I just watched it.![]()
Oh, ok, so... "This guy's got evidence; he's got everything. We have a story; we have nothing."
Good!
"What do I look like? An idiot?" Big Fat Liar.
"I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may tell the truth." Hogans Heroes.
Lol, you're right; it does.
(you're not right in our argument though
) That scene is pretty funny. I like how Riley is still part of the scene even though he's not "there". His little lines are the best.
![]()
(Um, actually I am, but whatever.) Yeah, it is. I agree about Riley's lines... "That... was... brilliant!"
As always. Great! Plays have always interested me and I'd really like to be in one, but I don't think it's going to happen. Oh well. =)
I'm going to unSM-ify this. Hope you don't mind, but it's rather a pain to color everything, and we're not saying anything secret...
It's a shame you'll likely won't ever get to be in a play. I take for granted that I'm going to be in ours every year.
She's not English and therefore has odd names?
![]()
Fine...
Yes, he is really funny.
Yep, I do.
Most people probably think that Djaq is my favorite character, but I really don't like her very much. I just liked the name.
![]()
He is funny, but every time he says something, he precedes it with "I'm not trying to be funny..." Mmm, same here.
Sorry!
![]()
I'm trying to get better at it.
Don't apologize. Remember, you're a mod. You have special privileges.
Ah, okay.
Yes, subtitles are annoying. Oh, do you know of any other places to find season one? Cor has been wanting to watch it and I've looked for some, but haven't found any (neither has he).
Yeah, I know Cor has been wanting to watch, and I keep meaning to mention this. If you go to Google Videos, you can search for "Robin Hood 1x01" or "Robin Hood S01E01". I think if you put in one you'll get episodes with Spanish subtitles and the other has Chinese subtitles. And, of course, you can change those numbers for different episodes.
Is that how that works?
Wow, that's a great idea! Why didn't I think of it?
(kidding)
Hey, you know, you need someone to give you all your brilliant ideas.
I have some plans, but I might need some help with them...*thinks*
Like I figured, I did nothing at all. What did you do?
Aiden, good to see that your avatar didn't disappear! For a horrific moment, I thought you might actually be changing your avatar...the sky seemed to be falling!
Glad to know that the world is set aright and your nice Prince Caspian avvy is back again.
![]()
![]()
Well, it did disappear, but only for a few awful moments... But, no, I shan't be changing it any time in the near future.
Music is just like you said, hard to discern and judge rightly, but it's something that should be observed carefully and not taken so lightly.
It's not as clear as a lot of other things in the world. But I really appreciate how you were honest about what you believed.
If you like, we can talk about evolution vs. creationism now! Muahaha! We've been studying evolutionary theories in our Biology class recently, talking about why they are scientifically wrong, how to refute them, and how to support Scripture with scientific evidence. It is very fascinating and sometimes I think that it would be exciting to be a scientist. But then, my brain starts hurting with the 60 or so vocab words I have to memorize...
Well said! And ditto about your honest expression of beliefs.
Haha, yes, creation vs. evolution is right up my alley, though being on the same side of this may be difficult, as I'm sure we're both better at refuting evolution than presenting creation.
Any evolutionists in the Square that want to debate?!
And I resolve that playing the piano is a lot simpler than Biology...and a lot more fun! At least, in my opinion.
![]()
I doubt anyone would disagree...
Speaking of music, I've heard it said that math has a lot to do with music. I fail to see the connection. For instance, I don't understand math or Algebra half as easily as I understand music...
Oh, math has tons to do with music. But, it's simpler mathânothing like algebra.
It is a very clever movie and hilarious! I've heard that it's historically accurate too, as in, based off of a real-life event. But I'm no historian so I can't back that up.
I just hate the ending! So I don't watch it...
It is, indeed. Yes, it's all a real history. That's why the book, as Aunty Jo said, has the same ending. I don't mind the ending too, too much. Especially since, as they say at the end, they accomplished their purpose of throwing a monkey wrench into the German system.
Have you ever seen "Chicken Run"? It's a parody off of The Great Escape, but it's extremely funny! It's an older movie, but I loved it as a kid and our family watched it recently and we still thought it was funny!
Maybe we're just weird that way...
Yes, I have seen Chicken Run! I love that movie. It's so funny when when the chicken's in the "cooler" and bouncing the baseball just like in the Great Escape. The music at that bit is also very similar to the original music.
And again...sorry about the rambling.
![]()
No, don't apologize! I wish I could say that much when I thought comes to mind.
Anyway, that's neat that your pastor preached about that recently.
Out of curiosity, may I ask what denomination your church is?
;)) I prefer to call it a 'snerk' (combination of sneer and smirk. ).
lol, nice. Though it doesn't seem to me that's it's necessarily half sneer.
I agree about his accent! Excellent choice!
![]()
Yeah, the accent is awesome. He has the strongest of anyone. Will has the least accent. Maybe that's another reason he's not a favorite of mine.
I imagine most everyone has seen that Google is calling itself "Topeka" now, since that city in Kansas changed its name to "Google" for the day.
![]()
That one I did see, though Topkea really did change its name to Google for the entire month.
Well, it's about time I had a long-ish catchup post, since most of mine lately have been pitifully small. I guess this is what happens when one stays away from NarniaWeb for a day, but I refuse to come on during April Fool's since everything is just too crazy. Well, have a good mortereve all!

You got mad at Robin? Yeah, so did I. And he was so rude to Much.![]()
I didn't get the feeling that he cared for her. But if he did, I mean, at least he wasn't marrying her just b/c of what he did but still.
That's most of the reason I was mad at him. I actually cried for Much I felt so bad for him. Very sad. It's like Robin has strong feelings for these people but he doesn't know how to deal with them, especially when he's upset. Like when he told Marian she should just stay at home and do her cross-stitching. And then she said even her father supported her more than he did. Robin just doesn't think before he speaks. Makes me mad.
btw you missed alot of April Fool's Day fun yesterday
