Mortereve all!!!
Haha. So you think. I've found that generally when I think I'm getting freedom, all I end up with are more responsibilities ... and, in all likelihood, more personal drama resulting from said responsibilities.
Oh great!!! That certainly does give me something to look forward to in the next couple of months.
Sorry about your toe. That's no fun. My brother did something similar to that except it was the soccer ball that hit it, not a door.
KK, I'll shoot those pics over to you.
Ti'ana, you may be a relatively new NWebber, but you don't exactly ask it.
Did you mean what you said there? Either I'm being dense - which is entirely possible - or else you typed that in wrong.
*knew what CEP's username meant a long time ago* Yes, I asked.
Double N, we are pretty young in NW time, but if you think about it very few older Nwbbers are still on. There is a handful that I can think of, but not that many really.
"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had.”
Mortereve all!
You keep telling yourself that. I'll just stand here, and not say anything to you, so as to not be tempted to taunt you.
Yes, I will. And thank you, I'd appreciate no more taunting.
*Snorts* Sure they are. *sarcastic* Of course it's not! It's a dictionary of the Stars, silly! It shouldn't be recognized by a bunch of mere mortals! That would be degrading! (Er, you didn't think I was being serious, did you? I do know that there is no such thing as the Dictionary of the Stars and I do know "mistakeless isn't a word.)
No, no, they reeeeeaaaaaally are! You're absolutely right, that would be degrading! However, if the Dictionary of the Stars isn't a recognized English dictionary, then why should I use words in it? (Yes, I did know you were joking )

Mmm, that's true. And, I suppose since we were around on the old forum, we're sort of like NW veterans.

I just showed my Mom their new video and it made her cry. I love that song!
Ok...I can summarize the recent happenings of my life in a few words: Dance, school, and little sleep.
Speaking of school, I need to go eat lunch and get ready for Biology class.
But first, I need to say hi to a few people.
Narnia Girl! Aiden! How goes all?
Winter! Your new signature is kind of creeping me out. Been watching that episode lately? Or were just in a "let's creep out Ruby mood"??
Oh, I'm afraid I missed your birthday! Happy very belated birthday!
Oh, don't feel bad, poggi! I missed my own birthday as well. How are you doing, pogginfan?
johobbit! I think I owe you a greeting. I haven't said hi in a while. How is everything going for you? Not too busy?
Well, I need to be running now! God bless and good day to you all!

Good mortereve!
It's a very rainy Wednesday here, but I didn't have any plans, so it's not bad.
Wow, it's 9/9/09...It doesn't really make a difference, but it sounds cool.
It sounds like you've had a fun time!
On Labor Day? Yes, I did!
I used to play...I haven't had time to touch an instrument for several months, though. * sigh *
Aw, that's not fun. Did you take lessons?
"Tell me what I need to know, Ben, or I'll shoot you friend." *Shaw points gun at Riley*
I don't think you did, but even if you did, I wouldn't worry about it. We all make a mistake now and then.
"What? Hey!" (or something like that)
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one to mess up. It's good to know there are other humans out there.
Well, see, I would copy and paste people's quotes into my post, so they would stay their original color. But, because of the editor on the new forum they don't retain color. That's why my whole post is blue rather than each person I've quoted being in their respective color. Anyway, as long as it's no more difficult, sure! I love the red.
It never copied the colors for me on the old forum (or even the smilies), so this is no different. I think that your wholly (holy? ) blue posts look good.
Yeah, just in the tradition of the SMers! No, I never considered you evil. However, what I did claim was that there was nothing wrong with the mimers and I would be on their side until I saw them do something objectionable. Well, I saw just that and have therefore switched sides. Is that satisfactory?
Yes, we can't totally drop it.
Ah, that's very satisfactory, thank you.
"In that order?" A recording we made a long time ago.
"The line is immaterial!" (there's more to the line, I just don't remember it right now) The Importance of Being Earnest.
Reckon not.
You sound like you're from the South.
Either, I guess. But you said you don't remember the soundtrack well.
Alright.
I just looked up the soundtrack on Amazon.com, and the samples sound really pretty!
Only if you quote movies I haven't seen and make me feel left out.
Oh, whew!
Aw, I'm sorry. I shall try to refrain from it in the future.
Don't let it go to your head.
LOL. Ah well, I suppose I should just go sulk in the corner since no matter what I do I get ridiculed for it.
Aw, don't do that. I'll try not to ridicule you too much.
How did you have occasion to do that?
During his presidential campaign, he made a speech at a center in my town (I think). I was pretty young, so I don't really remember it very well.
Hehe, yep! So, how was your day?
My day has been really good. I don't have a whole lot going on, but my dad has his first counseling client today! (I don't know if you were in here when I said it, but my dad lost his job a couple months ago, and is starting to do financial counseling now)
How about you?
*waves to Genny* Aw, sorry about the toe surgery. Not fun.
It sounds like an interesting day. Have a great vacation!
Sorry to hear you'll be getting braces on!
Aiden! It's not that bad.
Do you practice five hours every day, and twelve on weekends???
I'm working up to that. I started out with one, and now I'm on three.
Ok, good. What do you think of the new smilies?
I like them pretty well, but I'll miss the old ones.
Ouch, that sounds bad, Lys (about your toe)!!
Michael Buble, JillPole? I haven't heard anything by him in quite a while. What songs of his do you like the most?
Hey, Gwen!! It's great to see you stop by.
Well, your toe story doesn't sound fun, but hey, you're in here!
I've actually stayed in my town and am going to the state university here. Honestly, I'm not sure I made the right choice. I ended up getting accepted to every college to which I applied, which included some rather prestigious ones, and got at least decent scholarships for all of them.
Wow, that's great! Do you like staying closer to home?
Oh yeah! I love rollercoasters that go upside down a ton, Djaq! It's so cool when they go upside down, 'cause you can see the sky and the clouds and the sun all flashing by.
There's one that goes upside down five times, and it's pretty fun! We got a lot of pictures while we were there, and there are some funny ones of flam and myself on the rides.

"Quiet, Riley! Your job's finished here!" *loves being the bad guy*
Haha, yes it is.
It never copied the colors for me on the old forum (or even the smilies), so this is no different. I think that your wholly (holy? ) blue posts look good.
Oh, wow! You did it the hard way!
Well, it's only all-blue because I'm too lazy to do otherwise. Glad it looks good anyway. (My "holy" blue posts? )
Yes, we can't totally drop it.
Ah, that's very satisfactory, thank you.
True, true!
Thank you!

No worries!

You sound like you're from the South.
Reckon so. Probly cuz I been watchin Andy Griffith lately.
I just looked up the soundtrack on Amazon.com, and the samples sound really pretty!
Ah, cool. Does it remind you of the movie when you hear it?
Aw, I'm sorry. I shall try to refrain from it in the future.
Don't let it go to your head.
Well......I supooooose I could forgive you.
Right!
Aw, don't do that. I'll try not to ridicule you too much.
Well, alright. I suppose we can still be friends.
During his presidential campaign, he made a speech at a center in my town (I think). I was pretty young, so I don't really remember it very well.
Oh, cool! I've seen him but never gotten too close to him.
Aiden! It's not that bad.
Yeah, I suppose it's not that bad. But there's nothing wrong with me extending my condolences to someone who is about to undergo extreme mental and physical trauma. (Perhaps a tad bit of an exaggeration? Nah! )
Pebbles!!!! I wondered when you'd show up! Good to see you on the new forum, finally.
I really like the new NarniaWeb, though I'm still not completely used to it. I miss the old forum terribly...
I assure you, we all do.

Hello, Everyone!
I do promise to do a For-Real-And-Very-Long-Or-at-Least-I'll-Think It's-Long-When-I-Start-But-Will-Realize-When-I've-Finished-That-It-Is-Actually-Not-One-Wit-Phenomenal-Catch-Up Post at some mythical point in the future. But for now I will assure you that I am alive, and like the New Narnia Web (which I call in my head NewWeb... and did even before I knew about the NewWeb), even though I haven't spent 1/47th of the amount of time I should do form an educated opinion.
We started school yesterday, so that's my new and waterproof excuse for not posting. I'm liking it. We're more on a schedule than we ever were before, and I like schedules very much. Speech club starts tomorrow. I think I have all of the interpretive speeches picked out that I want to do this year.
We watched Bleak House for my birthday... it took three nights of staying up later than we wanted to. I love it, but since I read the book, there are a few things I'm not happy with. But really, I think there are less things that disagree with me/the book than in any other movie-made-from-a-book-I've-watched that I've seen.
I have a million books started (happy!) but I can't really get into any of them (unhappy!). I think that's all that's been happening to me....
Thank you so much to everyone who wished me happy birthday! I will answer you all personally on The Day of Judgment. I mean, when I catchup. Thank you! You made me so happy.
Fanny, Valia, LadyLiln, Jojo, and BellaNotFromTwilight: did you get my message, the one I sent? I answered all of your amazing PMs right before the switch... *stupid* But I did save them, so if you didn't get them, I can send them to you again.
And Djaq... You're the only NewWebber whom I think of as looking like Queen Susan. Tons of people have her as their avatar, but I never think of them as looking like her. And I've seen you're picture. Crazy, isn't it? I have to take the Nickel Creek CD back tomorrow. *tears*

I assume C.S. might’ve told you about calling me Prince…or maybe not.
Eh... I came up with it on my own. Naw, I read about it in Ella sig. Is it a good story? That's too bad about the hair hunt. I'm sure you'll find something eventually. You're probably better off than me. I had my sister trim mine. I don't think it's straight...
Haha! I’m inviting you both to have a meal at our house. My mom makes different kinds of Indian food, so I’m sure she’d make something you’d like that won't be too spicy.
w00t! I'll be sure to take you up on it someday, if your mom doesn't mind. That sounds like a lot of fun.
I actually like that… it sounds nice and bird-like.
I was going to throw in a few more flourishes, like a tu-wit-wit-to-jug-jug, but I'm not sure how to write out bird calls in a way that they're recognisable as bird calls. Hehe.
Of course, Joey-poo.
That makes me think of the RP character Joey, the Jedi Ewok. Except I don't think he'd appreciate being called Joey-poo.
Oooh, I think I like paratha already. I should get a recipe and give it to the sister who cooks dinner.
NN, "everyone" saying that the BBC movies were bad is an example of a herd mentality. You need to see them and decide for yourself. (And corgis are adorable, if Bella hasn't found a picture for you already...to quote Tasha Tudor "You need only see them by moonlight to realise they are enchanted." Awwww. )
Is that better?
Yay! I'm confusing! *checks off a goal on her "Things to do in life checklist"* Yep, that's much better. I knew you'd mentioned both sisters (but not necessarily multiple sisters which is probably why I was confused) expecting and a miscarriage. So, yeah.
Ditto-poo.
*sends Gen sympathy over her toe surgery and in-the-dark adventure* Your sisters has a great sense of humour.
*sends lys sympathy over his toe-adventure* It sounds like you handled it better than I would have.
Someone or someones asked about how Labor Day was. It was great. My dad picked up a set of three BBC Jane Austen adaptions from the 1980's. We watched Northanger Abbey and the whole family is agreed that one of the dream sequences was truly macabre and horrible and it's also the most talked of scene from the movie. "The part where the lady was sewing her fingers--that's not in the book, right?" "Right." "Are you sure it's not? I could have lived without her sewing her fingers." "I'm sure." Other than that and the fact that I wasn't convinced that Henry was as nice a guy as he should/could have been, it was a decent adaption. We're looking forward to S&S and P&P.
Monkee Businees, evereeone! I'm off to do a million things and change the world without anyone noticing!

Betsie, ah, yes, I got your PM. Sorry for not replying sooner, I'll have to get to that this evening!
I'm glad you watched Bleak House- I would have to agree with your statement that there was much less that I didn't like that wasn't in the book then in other book to movie adaptations... I was actually kind of shocked how there was next to no fast forwardable parts, especially coming from someone like Mr. Davies. (Let's just say, he and I don't exactly agree. Or wouldn't agree, if we knew each other. But we don't, so I don't have to worry about it. )
Aiden: We've watched two this week, (Island of the Darned and Bronzefinger, but I'm not sure if I told you about that already.) We hope to watch another one tonight.
Really? *tears down the aforementioned extensive and confusing charts on DVD prices and hides them in the corner* Um, yeah.
Edmund P: It's been a while, but I've read Jane Eyre as well. (I think it deserves a re-read, perhaps I'd like it more). How far are you into the book?
How did your appointment go? I hope everything went smoothly! I need braces too, but I got out of them. Hence I have somewhat crooked teeth and a touch of an overbite.
Wow Genny- that does not sound like a fun experience! I'm glad you were okay, though! And I hope your trip goes well- we'll miss you!
WinterStar, don't worry, I know you don't mean to. (Neither do I). Well, let's just say that perhaps you're right. Sadly, of course.
Djaq- that's funny you mentioned the 09/09/09 thing- that was one of the first things I thought of today, and for some reason, have been looking forwards to this day for months. No idea why, it's been an ordinary day, but I think it was the 09/09/09 thing. (Odd, yes).
*waves to Pebbles*
Mel: That's great about the 1980s Austen, although, er, yes, that particular version of Northanger Abbey had some plain, downright odd parts. >_> I do hope you enjoy S&S and P&P. I've seen both and they are quite enjoyable. (P&P moreso, I think).
And that finishes catchup. My day was pretty good, this morning I was running on adrenaline- I was later then normal doing my schoolwork (I am a girl that loves schedules, so when they're messed up it's hard), then the person I cut lawns for asked if I could do her lawn today, but thankfully, I was able to schedule it for tomorrow, and there was one or two other things that didn't help. Anyways, after I succeeded in calming myself down I discovered I was mentally tired (I think that's what happens when you come off adrenaline, or something) but thankfully my afternoon picked up and became better. My sister and I watched the '07 version of Persuasion, and I had lots of fun telling her about the Bath Marathon ( ) and that was alright.
Anyways! Off to catch up on some PMs! Cheers all!
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

Oh dear. *sigh* 6 pages of catchup. I know, I shouldn't dread it. I should just get "to work." 😉 Really, it is fun, just not when it's piled up.
Perhaps... Su Squared? Because you are Su and are from the Square... *will obviously need to put more thought into this*
Whatever you wish. Of course, I know that I like nick names (for myself to type to others) that are short. Such as "Mel", "Cep", "Jo", "Kat", etc. Su Squared is kind of long. 😉
I mean Queen-y-poo. This could get interesting, you know. ceppy-poo; Fanny-poo; Liln-y-poo; hobbit-y-poo; Prince-y-poo or Cor-y-poo; Kingskid-y-poo. Oh, the choices are limitless.
Ah yes. I'm sure everyone is delighted. In their beautiful new nicknames.
Awww, the superscript feature doesn't work here. NN will be disappointed, methinks, as am I.
Superscript? I think I'm confused. I must have been left out of that part while we did have it. Or else I'm clueless as to what it is/was called.
This embarrassed one seems rather un-regretful.
Yes, and rather unthankful too. I mean, if someone thanks you for something, and you want to show an embarrassed-thank-you-kind-of-blush-emoticon, you can't!
And speaking of nicknames, what do people call you?
I'm not quite sure. I was just discussing that with Mel, and... no conclusion yet.
*finished with page 9, but must go help Mom with supper.* Bye!
Avatar by Wunderkind_Lucy!
that particular version of Northanger Abbey had some plain, downright odd parts. >_>
Yeah, when I figured out that they were getting very literal with the gothic horror daydreams, I was a little worried. Fortunately, it didn't get too far beyond the bounds of reason. I'm glad to hear that the other two come highly recommended, especially P&P because I think that's the family favourite.
Su Squared is kind of long. 😉
Su² is shorter. Jo had the right idea with superscript, but because it doesn't work, I dragged out Character Map and found the Alt code. (² is Alt + 0178)

I just lost a post. And... Lazarus is installed on our other two computers, but not this one. I guess I'll get over it eventually. I'm not quite sure how much I lost. I guess just one page worth's replies. And it wasn't because the browser quit or anything, it's because I accidentally pushed the wrong button.
*plans on installing Lazarus soon.*
Hey, I'm a girl. I'm allowed to be driven by my emotions.
I see. 😉 I'm a girl too, but I don't appreciate being driven by my emotions half the time. Depending on which emotions they are and what circumstances. 😉
Oh, it a picture from when Caspian hit the ground with the sword. I thought it was sort of "The End" to his bitterness against Miraz.
Ah. I see.
Haha! My problem is that I do or do not have money, but when I get it, I always spend it on something dumb that I won’t use.
Ah, yes. That would be a... problem as you put it. I rarely spend money. I still have $15 dollars: 5 of which I received 7 months ago, and 10 which I received about 4-5 months ago. I guess I'm too miserly or too afraid to spend it for some reason... or something.
Speaking of TAN, I just was told by my older brother that they are having a concert half an hour a way from us right now... Too bad. I'm here. 😉 But there's no way I could get there anyway, I can't drive. And I don't think my older brothers really want to go... As I said. Too bad.

No, no, they reeeeeaaaaaally are! Image You're absolutely right, that would be degrading! However, if the Dictionary of the Stars isn't a recognized English dictionary, then why should I use words in it? (Yes, I did know you were joking )
Yup, and the sky is bright pink with neon green clouds. You don't have to use words in it, you just aren't allowed to tell me a word form it that I use is incorrect. Ok? (Oh, ok. I didn't think you thought that but I was sorta getting that "You-are-as-dumb-as-a-brick and have-the-IQ-of-negative-2" sorta vibe. Ya know what I mean, right?)
Winter! Your new signature is kind of creeping me out. Been watching that episode lately? Or were just in a "let's creep out Ruby mood"??
Neither, actually, it was just one Valia made and I thought was really cool.
I'm working up to that. I started out with one, and now I'm on three.
Oh, ok. Smart thinking. Starting on five would be like learning the alphabet and then trying to read Shakespeare. *nods*
I like them pretty well, but I'll miss the old ones.
Yeah, same here. I really miss the blushing face this one looks too...I dunno, i just don't like it.

Greetings, Square Onions! How is everyone? Very good, I hope?
Yesterday I spent most of the day cleaning, and the rest of it doing school work. I do love productive days like that!
And today I went jean shopping, though it only took me about 10 minuets. It will be nice when I finally stop growing so I won't have to go jean shopping every month!
And now to catch up!
How very nice to see you again, Lys! Glad to hear you're doing well! Hehe, that's a lovely dream. Hot English muffins are delicious!
What a lovely sounding weekend you had, Gazer! I'm glad the weather cooperated for you. It's no fun when it's not.
Ah, school ... 'tis a terrible-but-wonderful thing, no?
Ditto. This is most true.
That sounds like a fun bike ride, Lucy! You must have slept good that night.
*waves to Poggin*
*Waves back* Great to see you around, Aiden!
I'm procrastinating right now. I've got a ton of homework I'd really rather not work on right now, even though some of it is due today.
Oh my. It does look as if you have no other choice but to work on it, though. I'm guilty of procrastinating when I don't have time to procrastinate, too. But I find I work better under pressure, so maybe it's not such a bad thing.
How wonderful you got a job, Dennie! A Hallmark store sounds like a really nice place to work. Perhaps when you read this it will be Thursday, so...how do you like your job so far?
That sounds like a fun day, Djaq. Nothing better than spending time with your family!
Would you all please pray for one of our charges (a boy, about 3) and his single Mom?
I'll definitely be praying, Fanny! I can imagine it must be hard for her, especially without knowing the Lord.
*waves to Wren* I love your nickname.
Ooh, braces, Ed P.? It's for the greater good!
Oh dear, another toe surgery, Genny? I'll be praying this will be the last one.
Had to put my mum's cat to sleep today, though, as I am certain he had a stroke (blood clot in the brain). Remmie was 15 years old and never feeling well anymore. I will miss him.
I'm sorry, Cep. That's always hard.
Ditto-poo
That's brilliant!
I'm doing pretty well. Procrastinating about doing school right now. NW is much more fun.
Ditto! I'm supposed to be finishing up some school now...but I wanted to catch up here in the Square first.
We had fun killing it. I did take some pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them.
Well that's rather...disturbing. I would like to see some pictures.
Heh, that toe nail incident probably really hurt, lys! I had my fingernail sort of ripped off once, and that hurt. I will admit, though, reading your story made me laugh. Hopefully I don't sound extremely cruel, I'm sure you're not finding it very funny.
*Waves to Gwen*
Hey, KK! Glad to hear your dove season went well! Do you like shooting or archery better? We have a friend who's really into hunting, and he likes guns better, so I was just wondering what you thought.
By the way....I can't really tell what that is in your avy...but it looks a lot like a turkey foot. Is that what it is?
Most of my subjects are either on the computer or reading books, which feels strange after so many years of working out of workbooks.
Ah, I'm doing the same thing. It certainly is strange doing pretty much all of my work on the computer. I miss textbooks....they're more comfortable, and are better companions to tea.
Oo, Oxford. That is a *very* pretty town.
Heh...ever since I was little it was always my dream to go to Oxford for college. So many people I admire have gone there. I doubt I will go...but maybe for one class or something, just to fulfill my childhood goal.
Oh, don't feel bad, poggi! I missed my own birthday as well. How are you doing, pogginfan?
Oh my, you missed your own birthday? I feel much better now. I'm doing very well, thanks! How are you?
Hey, Pels! Nice to see you! How have you been doing?
*Waves to Betsie* Your post made me laugh a few times.
I believe that's all! Hopefully this post will be as long as I think it is. It took me over two hours to type it up...and I was only behind 4 pages.
Cheerio, Square Onions!
