His character gets a little more interesting as the show continues, but yeah, he normally isn't in much of the plots.
Oh, ok, I see. Yeah, he really hasn't had any sort of important or interesting role in any of the episodes I've seen.
Exactly. I probably wouldn't want to meet a guy like that in real life, but he sure is interesting on screen.
Yup, I agree. And I know his character gets more interesting than just what I've seen of him.
No, I haven't...unless you count my sister.
What about you?
Oh, that's right, your sister joined NW, didn't she? Poke her to visit the Square. No, I haven't either.
Man, I hate when I do that. I think I know exactly which show a person is talking about, then it turns out to be a different one.
![]()
lol, that's ok. It's partly my fault for only saying the number instead of the name. So... the one I was referring to was "A Thing or Two About Loyalty". What did you think of that one?
Btw, anyone remember how we got the nickname SquareOnions? *remembers is had something to do with Cor and the SquareGirls
*
Aunty Jo actually starting using the term. It had something to do with what people where she lives are called. I don't remember what the term was, but it ended in "onions", so she decided to call the residents of the Square "SquareOnions". I think Cor and his SquareGirls came along later.

Once a SquareOnion, always a SquareOnion.
Hey hey! Catch-up is SO due, and I promise to be in here sometime soon.......but I need to wish a happy birthday to my sister through every avenue that I can possibly find today, so NW came through for me again! I blogged her birthday, facebooked it, gmailed it, vocalized it, texted it, sang it, wrote a hand-written sentiment, breakfasted it, and now this. Do you think I'm over-doing it?? Heaven forbid THAT! I mean, it's her 19th; might as well make a deal about it while we're still young, right? Happy Birthday, Dame of Narnia!! She knows I love her dearly and I am glad she's my Dame of a Sister!!
Better go start her birthday-supper...Marsalla chicken and mashed potatoes! Like, you know, at Olive Garden?
I'll come back soon, 'cause frankly, I miss y'all! Before I leave: Huge congratulations to Djaq on her new aunthood!! I bet Juliette is the cutest!!
~Jojo~

Just a quick catch-up:
Congrats on your new niece, Djaq! Enjoy your time with little Juliette.
Now to see if anyone will remember who I am....
Let's see... Ah yes, I remember! Welcome back to the Town Square, nl!
I really should check out The Village, since both johobbit and PrinceCor (among other NarniaWebbers) have enjoyed it. *makes note to do so*
We are currently viewing the Blog, and it is actually pretty good. Steve McQueen is always an actor worth watching, and to see the girl who played Helen on the Andy Griffith Show is pretty cool.
That's one of the early, 'classic' horror movies. Pretty scary for the time it was made.
Trivia: Once upon a time, when I lived on-campus, a guy down the hall was named Steve McQueen. Usually people didn't believe that was his real name, or teased him about his movie roles, or bragged that they knew the 'real' McQueen.
It is a blessing just to be out in the woods this time of year as the trees are beginning to bloom and the birds(turkeys included)are beginning to really sing. It is fantastic.
Have a great time! I enjoy being out in the woods this time of year too, now that the trails are emerging from their snowy blankets.
Alas, the trees that bloom here - especially maples - emit pollen that I'm allergic to. Claritin: never leave home without it.[/old ad tagline for American Express]
I've never seen Robin Hood but have heard lots of good things about it here on the forum.
And a happy 19th birthday to Dame of Narnia! Enjoy your day!
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Jo, the boys are a lot more perky now. One of them has started drawing his own set of Narnia playing cards. And even though I remember the oatmeal baths from when I had the chicken pox, neither of them took one.
*brings out a broom to dust NL101 off with* *remembers to put a bandanna over her nose so she won't sneeze* There! Now you're all nice and shiny.
Cor, you spent 10 minutes studying my avatar? I... I'm flattered. (It was one of my favourite parts of the movie though. Hat frisbee would be fun, don't you think?)
Happy birthday, Dame of Narnia!

I haven't been here in 30 pages and nearly two months.
I've been trying to lurk in here every so often, but I haven't had a chance to post. I've missed you all and hope y'all are doing well!
Anyways, I've been busy, but am doing well.
I should be around for the rest of tonight.

Awww, thank you my seeester! I want you all to know that she has indeed outdone herself today!! It's been beautifully splendid in so many ways, thanks to her!
Thank you kindly, Gazer and Mel! As stated above, today's been a delight so far!
**DISCLAIMER**
For those of you who enjoy things sweet and sappy, I thought I would share the below. For those of you who DON'T, please just disregard, and skip the next paragraph entirely. xD
Today I received a very romantic gift if the most charming, old-fashionedest kind. Just before lunch, a package arrived, FedEx Express, with large proportions and brightly colored green, with the telltale logo 'ProFlowers' across the side. Eying the San Diego postmark, we were all insanely curious as I opened the package. In it were 2 dozen gorgeous, fresh cut, multicolored (pink, pink with red tips, yellow, white, green, and peach) roses! I pulled them out and discovered a large vase to put them in, some flower food, long-stemmed balloon bearing the words "I love you", a small teddy bear and a box of Rocky Mountain chocolates. The enclosed note said "Happy birthday from your secret admirer".
Is that not cute?
LOL, anyway, I was a little bit excited, and felt like sharing.
Anyhooo, before I go, I should address my lengthy absence here, so shall now do so with humble and profuse apologies. My schedule nowadays does not allow me the time that need/want to be able to post in here on a regular basis (a point of vexation and disappointment for me) so I'm afraid I must beg an indefinite leave of absence from you all with regard to regular postage. Unless time allows at some future point in time, I *sniff* won't be able to *sniff* commit to *sniff* being here much!
BUT, I would like to say that if any of you would like to correspond through PM, I would be able to keep up with that much better, so feel free!
I certainly miss all your funness, and all the convos and all the merrymaking! Perhaps one day I shall be back!
But I'm off for now. Thanks again to Jojo for everything!!!
Toodles and mortereve!

*Cor and Vern enter the Square discussing the evenings weather*
Well, this morning it was raining and overcast. This afternoon it warmed up and became sunny (made for a very beautiful sunset ) and now there is the possibility of storms overnight.
Crazy spring weather....
Anyway, Mortereve all!! I trust everyone is well this Thursday evening? Besides the strange weather and the fact I got a very late start on school today (thanks to meeting Mom for lunch), I've had pretty good Thursday.
O.K, time for catching-up. Fortunately I only have one page to catch-up on!

@ My fair sister, Princess. Yeah, kind of goes with the motif they had going.
Eh, I guess you have some good points there. Seeing as how I'm graduating in slightly over a month, I'll never get a chance to go to a prom anyway. Good thing it's not a big thing to me then, eh?
@ KK. Ah, "The Blob". I have fond memories of that film. One of the many monster movies I grew-up watching.
"Beware of the Blob it, leaps/and creeps/and glides across the floor..../a smudge/a spot/beware of Blob/"
I always thought that was an odd way to start a horror film.
@ NN. Right, that's the Italian for "Once Upon a Time in the West". Glad you liked it!
I actually noticed that on the NW facebook page. Anyway, sounds good! I'll probably just stick with seeing it in traditional 2D when it comes out.
About where the term SquareOnions came from: Like NN said, Jo came up with the term. I think it was when we were planting a garden in the Square and we were joking around about growing Square Onions, which reminded Jo about a nickname they have up their that sounds like "SquareOnions". And yes, that was about the time the infamous "Square Girls" incident happened.
"Thanks for bringing up such a painful memory. While you're at it, why don't you give me a paper cut and pour lemon juice over it!"
@ Mel. Well, yes. It was a puzzling avvie until I remembered the trailer for "Alice".
Hmm, hat frisbee would be fun. Though, it would probably be a pain trying to keep the lat from blowing away...
@ Lissa. Happy Birthday!!!
@ LL. Ello there! Nice to see you around this evening! How are things going for you?

Alright, I'll be around for a little bit longer.

Ah, Soundtrack Man, I recall the Square Girls incident. That was quite funny.
I've been quite well, Cor. It was lovely to talk with you in the chat room today.

Howdy Y'all!!
How is everyone on this beautiful Mortereve?
I've been doing pretty good. Been busy though. Went to work with Dad the past couple of days to drive him around. I've also been doing a lot with the Fire department. I've been busy, but it has been really good.
I've missed not being in the square more. I'll try to change that. It surprises me that we don't have more posts in here than we do.
I've no idea what I'm doing today.....Wow my sister is home. Yes that was random, but I thought she was gone.
We have soccer tonight, so that should be fun, but during the day hopefully I won't have to do to much.
As far as weather goes, it has been very nice here. I could stand it to be a bit warmer, but can't complain to much about the weather we have.
Well, I've got to go eat breakfast. I'll try to pop back in later

"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had.”
Lady_Liln! So good to see you here, but I must admit, I miss those colourful posts.
No pressure, though, you know that.
Last month we released a double issue which was twice the size, so I had to design the whole thing from scratch.
Fantastic. You are gaining such good experience! Do you have a good team with whom to work?
Djaq and flambeau, what wonderful news about your sister's baby's arrival. Welcome, Juliette Noelle, to this world. What a pretty name, too. 8.2 is a good size. I can relate as two of our children were 8 pounds+ (8.6, to be exact) but our middle boy (who is 6'4" now) was 9.8. *gulp*
Robby's back, wooot! *helps Mel in dusting him off*
Now to see if anyone will remember who I am.
Uh, how on earth could we forget?!
Yep, I'm interested in your before and after hair cut pics, PrinceCor.
@ Gazer. I'd recommend giving The Village a chance. Even though I knew the big twist ending, it still surprised me in many spots. Just don't go in expecting the movie to fit nicely into one genre, because it doesn't.
Exactly and well said.
@ Mel. Just a quick left-field comment: It took me a good 10 minutes to figure out what your avvie was the first time I saw it. I finally recognized it from the "Alice in Wonderland" trailers....
Likewise! Except I spent the ten minutes spread out over days, instead of all at once. I still can't place where that shot is in the movie, though ...
Ah good, Princess, I'll be very interested to know your opinion of the Bourne books, and whether what I've heard from a few sources is true ... or just someone overreacting.
I told my dad about Reading Week and he said, "Well, they can't call it Spring break because they don't have spring yet in Canada."
Hahaha, 'tis very true.
I still haven't seen Blindside, but from all the recommendations, need to at some point.
I hope that we have success as well, especially this weekend as we will be taking out a young hunter on his first turkey hunt. It is a blessing just to be out in the woods this time of year as the trees are beginning to bloom and the birds(turkeys included)are beginning to really sing. It is fantastic.
Wow, a new convert! That's so cool. Do enjoy. And your description of being out in the woods like that almost makes me want to take up hunting. Maybe, though, for now I'll just stick to hiking.
Btw, do you ever jam with anyone else when you play your banjo? "Salty Dog"? Any particular reason for that name?
So, Voyage is going to be filmed in 3-D. I'll probably see it once that way, but I do prefer non 3-D, in general. Mind you, if the story is the prime focus and not the effects, maybe I'll enjoy it better than I usually enjoy that form. As you say, it should bring in more money, which means that further Narnia movies can be made.
While were on the subject, Sweet is also thinking about working with the same film group as I.
As in sweeetlilgurlie? She's lovely and so much fun. We met her last fall at an FotR symphony concert in her city, and we hope to do it again this fall when TTT comes to town again. I hope this works out for you to work together, Princess. That would really be so cooool!
Ahaha, I had forgotten all about PrinceCor and his SquareGirls. How did that come about again? Wasn't it that he was in the Square a fair bit with only females? What a hoot!
And yes, you're all pretty close as to how the term "SquareOnions" came into being. I live an hour away from the biggest city in Canada, Toronto. Its inhabitants are called "Torontonians", and from that it became "Squareonians", but we all thought it looked better—and was so much more fun—to change that last "a" to an "o". So, yeah.
Jojo, grand to see you in here again. And, oh my, did I miss Lissa's birthday? Wups.
Anyway, here's to a great day that I hope you had, Lissa! Cake for all!
(But make sure Lissa gets a couple of pieces; the rest of us can just have one each.
)
*loooooooooooves the Olive Garden* Sadly, we don't have them anymore in Canada, or at least, Ontario. Our closest one is Buffalo, so a few girlfriends and I head down once a year to partake and pig out.
I enjoy being out in the woods this time of year too, now that the trails are emerging from their snowy blankets."
Mmmm. *revels in that description* Enjoy, 'gazer.
Glad your brothers are coming along, Mel. So, they have a talent at drawing too ... just like their older sister.
Lissa, I enjoyed reading the excitement of your surprise birthday gift. Any idea who it's from? And ... I know you're busy, but do come by when time permits.
*I feel like watching Charlotte's Web now*
Which one? The older animated, or the newer live version? I preferred the voice of Templeton the rat much better in the old movie, but the animation in the new one was excellent. And I didn't care for Julia Roberts' (who is not a favourite actress of mine, anyway) rendition of Charlotte's voice in the least. Nope. However, I really enjoyed Dakota Fanning as Fern.
Tiana? Tiana! Glad to hear you've been goodly busy. That's a ... good thing.
Someone was admiring your shawl the other day, and it was impressed upon me yet again how much it means to me. Not only does it look attractive draped gently over one of our living room chairs, but it's very practical on cold winter nights when I'm reading.
Anyway, sooooooo good to see you here. Hi to the family!
And happy Friday to all. It's a very cold one here. Considering we had +18C/64.4F last week, it's rather a shock (although I don't mind) to wake up to -17C/1.4F this morning (with a slight wind chill). Invigorating, to say the least!

I'm really glad you have enjoyed the shawl. Mom just got finished making two other ones. One of them is the most beautiful shawl ever! I'll try to send you some pictures.
Wow it is cold there. It has been in the Sixties F here recently. I'm going kayaking tomorrow with some of my family, and hopefully the weather will be beautiful for it.
Please tell your family hi too, especially Kimberly.
Djax, congrats on the new niece!!! Newborns are always fun. My sister is due in about a month or less. Can't wait to meet the little one. And I also found out recently that my brother and his wife are expecting again.
Who could forget Robby. He is the guy who hogs all the cookies that we shall not name.
Ok this is a dumb question (I haven't been on here in a while), but do they have a trailer out for VoDT? I'm really interested to see how the film will be. Kinda getting excited about it.
Here is a pic of that shawl. Isn't the best picture, but it'll give you an idea. The picture doesn't bring out the beads very well.
Not sure if my image will work or not. We shall see.
mmmm...It didn't. I'll just send you the link.

jo: Thanks,I'm glad to be back. Yes,God has been very good to me and my family. Some of my unsaved family members probably don't see it that way,but I know has a purpose through all of this. Even though I can't see it yet.
Btw,I think I'm supposed to disect a frog next week. I was hoping the starfish would be next, but oh,well. I ate frog once, but I didn't think it tasted that great.
Ali: That would be incredible if you got tickets! Let me know!
I let her listen to "Shorline" and surprisingly she didn't say anything negative about Wes' voice.
I actually had to temporarily give S&S up because I need to work on my C.S. Lewis papers for english. They're due in a couple months.
I haven't heard "Be Thou My Vision" but I love "It Is Well"! It's a really fun song to play, too.
Aw,thanks.
So how's school going for you?
Djaq: Congratualtions about your new niece!! Such a pretty name too!
I bet you and your family are really enjoying her.

Anyway, sounds good! I'll probably just stick with seeing it in traditional 2D when it comes out.

Yes, I figured that out. Interesting that the songs are named named in Italian (at least on the site I went to). The same was the case with The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I did like it, but I listened to "Man With a Harmonica", and it seemed very strange to me. Just not my type, I suppose.
Well, I'm hoping it will be at our local IMAX theater, since they have most of the major 3D movies. Would it have to be filmed any differently to be played in IMAX?
*waves to Ti'ana*
Fantastic. You are gaining such good experience!
Do you have a good team with whom to work?
Mmmhmm, and I enjoy it, too! As for a team... there's one girl who's in charge and then our Youth Pastor works on it, too. That's pretty much it. It's up to various other people in our Youth Group to get in articles, and they're never on time...
So, Voyage is going to be filmed in 3-D. I'll probably see it once that way, but I do prefer non 3-D, in general. I've not quite made up my mind whether or not I like 3D all that much. But, like they said at the end of the news articles, since the decision was made after the fact, there won't be any corny 3D effects... it will just be one more thing to make the movie even better. And, of course, more money. Always good.
Nope, no trailer for VDT, Ti.
