Mortereve all!

Yeah it was. And completely pointless. Oh well, expect some more of that. It won't be as bad though.

I figured there would be some more here and there. Hopefully not too much though.

what happened in that one? I get them mixed up :p

That one was "Parent Hood" when Roy got killed. :(

Hey Ben, glad you're having a great time in Florida! :D Hope you can post just as much as normal, though you probably won't have as much time, eh?

That's really cool that he will be posting the next season!

Yeah, I'm so glad I'll get to see it! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see any of it at all!

That's funny that we were both thinking the same thing ;))

Yeah, but The Andy Griffith Show is a classic example of what you were saying, so it's no wonder we both thought of it.

It would be most interesting to meet all the actors in person and see what their personalities are like

Yeah, I think that would be a lot of fun. From the interview, Richard Armitage seems like a really neat guy.

That's always good. Ooh...When you watch the next episode you'll meet someone with a familiar name...(I'm assuming you know who I mean.) :)

Yes, it is good. :) How's life going for you?
Let's see, the next episode is "Turk Flu", right? No, I don't know whom you mean.

My posts have been very short lately, but not many people have been posting, and even if there is a lot to catch up on, there's not much to respond to. Mortereve all!

Good mortereve all!!

Three of my nephews are staying with us this weekend (until Monday), but they're playing outside right now, so I thought that I'd catch up! :)

Oh is that a good movie? I saw the first but not the second.

Yes, it's a pretty good movie. :) It's really funny, of course, but the first one might be better. :)

My older brother was watching them on TV when I was visiting them so that's how I first heard about them.

Aha, neat! :)

Wow! #:-s That's a while to be on!

Yeah, it is...but I did finish the post! :D ;))

It definitely different and it made be laugh! And still does!

I'm very glad to hear that! :) ;))

So what is it like to be a Mod? Does it take a lot of your time each day?

Hmm, it doesn't always take a lot of time. It depends on...how many newbies' posts need to be approved (or if they need to be disapproved, it takes more time because we have to explain to them what we did and why)...and other various things. :) That particular day was kind of busy, if I remember correctly.

Well, it's better than stopping by every other month.... :p Glad to see you around again!

I am trying to improve and I'm glad to see it's showing. :P Thank you, kind sir!

*I bet it would be! Trying to keep up with all those question not to mention answering them.... :-o Ah, well I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure she deserved it. Though, that could be taken as either good or bad... :- Oh dear, I'm starting to sound like Cor. :p *

Hey!! :-w

Yes, 'twas fun but also time consuming. ;)) My, my, you are starting to sound like Cor!
Ahem, no offense, Cor. ;)

Well, I did a search on youtube and couldn't find any videos of the various seasons. :-s Lots of fan-made tributes and clips, but no actual episodes. Probably got taken down or something.... *edit* Ah ha! Found it! :D Had to type in the persons username to get the channel. :p I'll try watching a few episodes over the weekend. :) Which one do you recommend for a beginner?

Yay! Glad you found it! :D For a beginner, I'd recommend the first episode. :P It's the best place to start. ;) The first episode that I saw was actually towards the end of the season...I think it was "Tattoo? What Tattoo?" (number 8). But, I started watching it when it was first on TV, and my sister and I didn't find it until later on in the season.

I don't think you're missing anything, anyway. ;)

Probably not. ;)

I appreciate the appreciation that you have of my appreciation to you. :) :p Well, you are quite welcomed. Always happy to help a commoner out. ;) *kidding of course!*

*I would go ahead and strike him if I were you, miss Djaq....*

Wow, nicely done! :P Oh, you are a most gracious prince! *curtsies* ;)

Well, thank you for the advice, Vern, but I think I'll let you do that for me. ;) I'll just pretend not to notice the insult... :P
(completely kidding!)

Hey, not as much of an advantage as I had when we were going through the first movie... I found the script online! ;))
"Nichols has bought into it. Did you see this?"

Very true. But, you did help me out last time by giving me the link. ;))
"Dad, will you stop watching that?" (is that right?)

"Could it really be that simple?" NT1
No, we won't! :D ;))

"Why is nothing ever simple?!" The Sheriff in the BBC Robin Hood.
Never! :D ;))

Wow! Yeah, we do that sometimes, too. Wait, no we don't! :P

Yes, we do! :P

Indeed they were. Yeah, that's true. BTW, your SM showed up slightly. What tan are you using?

Mmmhmm! I used #f4e7c4. I don't think I had GIMP open, so I couldn't find a different shade.

hehe yeah I do it alot. I share a room with my little sis so I can't just turn on the light or she'll wake up. So I use the iPod :p

Fun! ;)) My brother has an iPod Touch, and it has a flashlight app. and the screen goes white so that there's more light. It's pretty neat. ;))
Btw, would you mind if I called you Ali? That's your nickname, correct?

Welcome to the Square, Bother Eustace! It seems like you're fitting in perfectly! :D

*waves to GeorgieXOXOSmile* :)

I've actually never seen Robin Hood. I've seen Merlin though. I've been meaning to look up some episodes on youtube, but things just keep getting busier and busier. 8-| *sigh*
So whatcha been up to lately. :)

Oh, okay. ;)) :) Don't worry about it; I know how that is! :)
School, cooking/baking, playing with my nephews, planning menus, like that. ;)) How have you been? :)
Oh, I saw your prayer request in the Prayer Request forum and I have been praying!

A RinterSamgee post!!! :D With *gasps* special guests? How fun! Great stuff you two! :D ;))

;)) Ah, the weather's ok... it's been a little chillier the past few days though. :( A sprinkling more of snow again, but I don't know how long it'll last. :D Things are going well here-I'm moving into a new room in our house, so we've been painting that brown this morning. :D

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that the weather has been somewhat cold for you. :(
Ooh, are you fully moved in now? How does the paint look? What shade of brown is it? :D

It's just extremely weird, because whenever our family sits down to dinner it doesn't feel like we're all there. But I guess in a few more years, I'll be one of the ones moving out and then it won't be so strange. :P

Oh, I know! Our table feels rather empty too (there's my Mom, Dad, Grandma, flambeau and then me. And, my brother on weekends).
Yes, that's strange to think about, isn't it? ;))

I finally decided on Abraham Lincoln's speech "Let us have faith that right makes might". I think that's what it's called. It was given during his presidential campaign and it's really good. :)

That sounds great! :D I'm so glad that you've found one that you like!

My mom really likes Owl City and one of my brothers said that he thinks they're "okay". I put some Owl City on his mp3 player and so far he hasn't taken it off. He took off all the Relient K though (surprising) and I asked why he didn't take off Owl City and he was like "they're not that bad". I thought it was pretty funny. My mom really likes his music too and my sister, so we're always singing along when we turn on OC. :)

I have tons of music on my computer now too. Most of it was my sister's stuff, but then my brother put all his music (a lot of which I liked, so I don't mind that much) on. :P

Haha, just "okay"? ;)) Ooh, fun! (about your mom, sister and you all singing along!)

I'd love to listen to music on my computer right now, but the sound isn't working at all. :( It's been this way for a few days and I can't figure out what's wrong.
Anyway, that's good! There's a lot of music on this computer from my sister too. ;))

Yeah, I think they're coming along okay. There are a few different styles. The bride decided to let everyone choose their own, so only the fabric will match. This is the one I'll be wearing; just imagine the middle version in blue. :)

Good! Ooh, the pattern looks really pretty! Are you looking forward to the wedding? :D (it's a friend's, yes?)

For those that were wondering what I thought of P&P '05: I liked it, but greatly prefer the '95 version. The '05 version had a great visual style and some interesting camera movements (following the Bennett family through the ball room, following Elisabeth before going into the house, etc.), a good score and good acting by at least half the cast. Though, as an adaptation it was rather disappointing. :|

Wow, that's exactly what I think! ;)) I didn't know that you liked the '95 version. :) That's great!

I watched the first two episodes of the BBC Robin Hood over the weekend. Wow, what a great show! :D

:D :D :D ( ) I've enjoyed reading what you've said about it. Keep us updated. ;)) I'm so glad that you like it!

Another thing, Aiden, from the music discussion that you've been having with Dani, your family's views on music sound quite a bit like my family's, if not the same. :)

;)) Hmmm, all we need are Robin, Much, Will, and Little John and this has the makings of a pretty good ambush! ;) "This is how it goes..."

Yeah! Any volunteers?? :D ;)) "There's poor people going hungry." ;)

What makes you think I would start calling you that again? ;;)

The fact that it's you... :P

Ehhh, Reasons Why?

"Popular choice." ;) "Where am I today? I wish that I knew..."

!! ;)) Ahh, that brings back memories!

Mmmhmm! ;)) Back when I lurked in the Square but didn't post. ;))
FYI, I'm not quite a Chris Thile wannabe. :P (I couldn't handle the hair. LOL!)

I'll be Much ;)) As you may already know he is probably my favorite!

Yay! ;)) So we have three outlaws so far. Anyone want to be Will, Little John or Robin? ;))

You and Djaq are both taking lessons, right? Or is it just you?

This wasn't aimed at me, but can I answer anyway? ;)) We are both taking lessons. :)

I've been good. :) You? Not too much. I saw Percy Jackson Tuesday. Plus we went shopping in the City.(About an hour away from us there's a city, where there's a Target and a mall, and stuff-that's where we went.) Then on Wednesday there was horseback riding lessons, I hadn't been riding in forever but it was fun. And then I went to lunch with my dad. And then of course there was the incident with my mom and the would-be-purse-thief. Anyhow, I'm kinda rambling. They say hi back!

Glad to hear it! I've been good too. :) Horseback riding lessons sound like fun! :D Wow, good for your mom! :D ;)) Don't worry about rambling. I enjoyed it! :) ;)
Ah, thank you! :D

They're called "Leather Wonderpants" so they won't be taken down. Also, MerlinJunkie might like Guy more than Robin...just a thought. Plus, it's just plain funny.

Mmm hmm, due to copyright issues. Yes, flam and I have discussed the whole Guy reference. It's quite funny! ;))

Ooh...When you watch the next episode you'll meet someone with a familiar name...(I'm assuming you know who I mean.) :)

No, I don't know whom you mean

*cough* Here's a hint: It's pronounced like "Jack". ;)

I think I'm done!!

I'm off now. Mort'reve all!

Hello all! *Waves*

Do forgive my typos...I'm working on a much smaller keyboard then the one I previously used, and the space doesn't always work. :P

Yes, it is good. :) How's life going for you?
Let's see, the next episode is "Turk Flu", right? No, I don't know whom you mean.

That's good. Life's been ok. I recently inherited a "new" computer. (The reason for the smaller keyboard.) It's my sister's old laptop, but the screen doesn't work so it's hooked up to a LCD (I think?) Monitor.
You don't? Oh come on,she's only explained her username a couple hundred times. Just watch the episode and it'll all make sense. :)

A RinterSamgee post!!! :D With *gasps* special guests? How fun! Great stuff you two! :D ;))

lol. RinterSamgee? Thank you! :)

Glad to hear it! I've been good too. :) Horseback riding lessons sound like fun! :D Wow, good for your mom! :D ;)) Don't worry about rambling. I enjoyed it! :) ;)
Ah, thank you! :D

That's good. :) They are fun. I know, we're all very proud of my mum. :) *Phew*

Mmm hmm, due to copyright issues. Yes, flam and I have discussed the whole Guy reference. It's quite funny! ;))

Yeah. According to Valia Robin wears leather too. I never really paid attention to be honest, does he?

Mortereve :)

.....hours later.....

Isn't it odd, that whenever I have no time to chat with you, it's non-stop chatter central in here... but whenever I can stop by, it remains silent? I don't know whether to be insulted or find it funny. :p I know I saw some of you on when I wrote this post, so why didn't you respond? *looks mainly at GtG and Bother Eustace, as they were on at the time*

sorry? I must have been doing something else...alot of the time I'll leave NW open but I'm off to doing something else...on the internet ;)) :p .

Yeah I think its just because I'm a guy, but he is nice sometimes but all around I don't like him! [-(

you really do like that smiley don't you? :p

Your welcome!

(I'm a hugger :p )

Thanks! I had a great flight down here!

Good for you. I hate planes. It's the only reason I don't want to go to FL.

That one was "Parent Hood" when Roy got killed. :(

you should put that in a spoiler! :p Yeah that was sad I was crying alot... :(

I figured there would be some more here and there. Hopefully not too much though.

I think there are only two more similar instances after that episode, from what I remember. But I'm only 10 episodes in...

Fun! ;)) My brother has an iPod Touch, and it has a flashlight app. and the screen goes white so that there's more light. It's pretty neat. ;))
Btw, would you mind if I called you Ali? That's your nickname, correct?

Yeah my friend has that app too. Unforunately I don't have an iTouch :| :p .

Yeah I don't mind. Alot of people in "real life" and on here call me that :p .

Yeah I probably. I've been limping around everywhere. My foot is swollen and blue. Ugh. But yeah it's getting better... :p

flam, yes, I finished Manalive. :D *plays with the confetti* I really enjoyed it, though I think The Man Who Was Thursday is still my favourite. I don't have any deep thoughts, but it does stick with one and makes one wonder every so often, "So what would I do if I were Innocent Smith?" (Or, is that me wondering, "What am I going to say to the Manalive fans?"...) Also, I love Chesterton's sunsets.

I'm glad that you had fun starring in our show. :P

Oh, I was a star?! (*) :D (I just wanted to use that smiley. Carry on...)

sounds like a book I had to read in 6th grade, Carry on Mr Bowditch. A rather boring book if you ask me.

I didn't read Carry on Mr. Bowditch until a few years ago, when I loved it. Of course, I only mention this because I'd avoided reading it because I associate it with Amos Fortune, Free Man a book I did read in sixth grade... and yes, I thought AFFM boring which is the point of this anecdote. ;))

I wish I knew more about this sort of thing so I could explain myself better.

I wish you did too, as this has been a very interesting discussion to follow. :) Also, if you don't mind my asking, where in Scripture do you find the verses you use to determine what music is God-glorifying? I feel like I shouldn't have to ask, but I don't think I've ever seen a particular verse or passage associated to this type of discussion. *probably wasn't paying attention*

*is sad she missed PA's visit* I would have asked you about the book, and what you were doing to your room. I think last time I heard about it, you were doing bookshelves. I think that that was a really long time ago, though. ;))

Are you looking forward to the wedding? :D (it's a friend's, yes?)

Yes indeed! (no, it's an enemy's :p (To answer the real question, yes it's the wedding of a friend rather than a relative ;)) ))

*enters square humming a random tune*

I've had an interesting past couple of days. Yesterday, I went on a hike in the woods with my siblings and some friends. And then I came home and played around with my flute with one of my friends on her harp. It was a lot of fun, because she has a lot of Celtic tunes that I could lay on my recorder or flute and she accompanied on her harp. It was fun. :)

And today, my brothers and dad were working on remodeling one of our bathrooms. Apparently, we have to replace all the plumbing in there, so they were sawing away at cement like all morning. The dust would get so bad inside the bathroom, they wouldn't even be able to breathe with their masks on and so they would have to take breaks. Now we have all the windows open and air cleaners on and there's a thin layer of dust over everything. :P

sounds like a book I had to read in 6th grade, Carry on Mr Bowditch. A rather boring book if you ask me. I don't tend to like sea adventures, which is why I'm suprised I liked the Horatio Hornblower series.

Aw, fun. Before my sister got married we shared rooms--probably for half of our lives. Now I'm the only girl. *sniff*
I guess my younger brothers are in the room next to mine... So I'm not completely isolated. But it's not quite the same I suppose. I don't usually go to my little brothers if I have a question about stuff that they don't know either. Such as--questions about the Bible I guess. My older brothers know a lot more then I do.
Oh, thank you!!! I think I'm getting somewhat used to it. Anyway, that's very kind of you.

It's definitely hard to get used to, when older siblings move away. I'm still not used to it, but I'm getting used to it. I'm glad to hear that you're settling into your new room. :) Aw, that's so nice that you have older and younger brothers. I only have younger brothers, but a couple of them are pretty close to my age. :)
I don't usually go to my younger brothers with questions either. That's what big sisters are for. :) And that's why it's so weird to have them moving away all of a sudden. I don't know what I'm going to do when I end up the eldest at home.

Have fun cleaning up that bathroom!! :)

yeah, I am still gettiong better......but I feel better than I did last month! I still can't look down - it makes me dizzy! ugh! grrr......I just want to be all better! but everyone says that healing from vertigo is a slow process! and believe me, it is! well, how are you?

Oh, dear! I really hope you recover completely soon! I'm obviously not very familiar with vertigo. My sister is, though, and when I told her one of my friends had vertigo, she was like "oh no!" I'll be praying that you get better soon!! You won't have to go back to the hospital any time soon, will you?

I just got a digital camera for my b-day last year. An electric keyboard sounds cool! I think I'll wait til my 17th to ask for a car though.
Yeah, just take your time. I have to think about it a lot though otherwise I'll forget.

A digital camera is definitely near the top of my birthday list! I'm always having to borrow either my mom's or my dad's. Hehe. :P I'll probably have to buy my own car myself.

Wow,that's awesome! So,you're not homeschooled? Because I was under the impression that you were...

I actually am home schooled, but I take a couple classical courses on a Christian online school. That's actually where I first met MissAravis, we were both on the same school. :) And then when I figured out who she was on NarniaWeb, I was so excited!

Oh yes, absolutely. I've heard many, many leading music experts testify to that. I think Christians are very capable of writing music that's not glorifying to God. Why does being a Christian suddenly make music with a dishonoring sound become good? And then, on the other hand, people who aren't Christian's are capable of writing good music. Classical, for example, was mostly written by non-Christians, but because of the style and the way they wrote music, classical music can influence one for the better. I wish I knew more about this sort of thing so I could explain myself better.

You've done a very good job of explaining, I think! The only thing I'm a little confused on, is why you believe different sounds can be a bad influence. A lot of Christian rock/rap music influences people for the better. And I think the lyrics have a lot more to do with the influence than the actual sound. But then again, I've never really encountered this view on music before, so I don't know.

Thank you. Yeah, a lot of my friends have colds too. I'm over mine now, though. Glad you're doing well!

And I'm glad that you're over your cold now! Being sick really is a bother.

Nicknames... Well, so far I've been called Eustace, BE, even Boe. Whichever one you prefer. But, as I like to say, if you call me Bother, I might live up to it!

I like the nickname Boe. It's quite clever. :) Though your whole useranme is very creative.

*waves to GeorgieXOXOsmile*
How have you been doing lately?

Ah, don't you mean the Took hobbit hole?

Nah, I meant Gamgee. But some Tooks do live here temporarily, at least one Took now. You don't live with me, because you're the oldest and have already moved out. :)

Oh cool! Can you play the piano? I'm just learning it myself.

Yeah, I've taught myself how since I was a little kid. But recently my mom started "seriously" teaching me piano, so I'm getting a little more into music theory, or at least trying to. :) How are you enjoying piano lessons?

A RinterSamgee post!!! With *gasps* special guests? How fun! Great stuff you two!

I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! It was tons of fun making it, especially with the NW friends as "guest stars". :)

Oh, I know! Our table feels rather empty too (there's my Mom, Dad, Grandma, flambeau and then me. And, my brother on weekends).
Yes, that's strange to think about, isn't it?

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure if I'm looking forward to moving out or not. Right now I'm trying to figure out how on earth I'm going to survive on my own. :P But I do have at least two more years before I'll be moving out. :)

That sounds great! I'm so glad that you've found one that you like!

Yeah, now all I have to do is memorize it...I've never memorized a speech before, so this should be interesting..

Haha, just "okay"? Ooh, fun! (about your mom, sister and you all singing along!)

Hehe. That's better than my other brother, whose convinced that he's the worst band ever. I think it's just because he doesn't think they're "cool" or something. Ah, well.

I'd love to listen to music on my computer right now, but the sound isn't working at all. It's been this way for a few days and I can't figure out what's wrong.
Anyway, that's good! There's a lot of music on this computer from my sister too.

Aw, that's too bad about your computer! I hope you figure out what's wrong and fix it soon. :) Yeah, it's always nice when your sister enjoys most of the music you do. :)

This wasn't aimed at me, but can I answer anyway? We are both taking lessons.

Okay, that's what I thought. Fun, fun! My sister and I both want to take voice lessons soon and I'm hoping we get to do them together. :)

Oh, I was a star?! (*) :D (I just wanted to use that smiley. Carry on...)

Heehee!! That is a very fun smiley! And yes, you were a star!! :)

*looks back at her gigantic post and prays that there aren't any serious mistakes in it*

Wow! I haven't written such a huge post in ages! It must have taken me over an hour and a half!! #:-s But I guess that's what I get for putting off catch up for so long...

I'll be off now! God bless, all!! :D

*enters square, still munching on magically delicious Lucky Charms* Mortereve, and happy Weekend!
So, I've seen lots of people here in the Square talking about the show Robin Hood, so i finally decided to watch some episodes a few days ago... what a great show! Unfortunately the only place I could find them was Youtube and they didn't have episodes 3, 4, or 5 for some reason :( but I did see episodes 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9. It's quite addicting, actually :P . After I saw a few episodes, suddenly tons of avatars and signature images here on NW began to make sense... :D

Ireland's Call, Puppy Love ( :p ), The Island, Heartland, The Mountains of Mourne, Come by the Hills, and The Voyage :D .

Thanks. I listened to some of those, I like Come by the Hills and The Voyage (Can't help thinking of VDT when I hear that title... :P )

*looks mainly at GtG and Bother Eustace, as they were on at the time*

*looks around* Who, me? I was on, but I guess I didn't check the square.

Hey all!
So I'm down in Florida! I'm having a blast!

Glad to hear it! I hope the rest of your time there goes well!

I'm just learning it myself.

You're learning Piano? Neat. I've recently taken it up as well. Actually, I took lessons long ago, but sadly I quit (now I regret that decision). So, recently, I decided I wanted to start learning again. Kinda wish I had just stuck with it originally, since it's harder to find time nowadays than it was then... but, I am determined! :)

Welcome to the Square, Bother Eustace! It seems like you're fitting in perfectly! :D

Thank you. It's rather easy to fit in; everyone's so welcoming. :)

And I'm glad that you're over your cold now! Being sick really is a bother.

Yes, it most certainly is :| Bother Colds. :p

I like the nickname Boe. It's quite clever. :)

I believe narnianerd was the one who originally called me Boe... not sure though. It is quite clever, I like it.

Well, see ya'll later!

Mortereve, all!

Look at all that snow outside. :( For the past week and a half there was warm, sixty-degree weather! <3 And now the snow. I pray it's the last of winter.
Haven't been doing much lately apart from keeping away from the Town Square. The Onions hurt my eyes. :(( (Those are not tears of sadness, but of the incredible amount of Onions in this place. ;] ) And I do not like that emoticon, for the record. So annoying. ;))
I do have a minor headache at the moment, and the pages of catchup are taunting me. So... this is the last time I'll use my coupon for not catching up on some 15 pages back. *avoids the rotten...tomatoes (you all would not throw onions at me now, would you? :S )* However, I did miss this place and these people, and I did want to pass by and say hello to you all! :D

So, here's brand new catchup from page 30 or so:

Ruby, last, last night I had the most interesting dream. ;)) My youth group was going on their annual winter retreat, and you were there! :D It was most interesting indeed, to meet you in a dream and all. ^_^

How is everyone?

That question's usable now, mum! ;) I'm doing quite splendid, thanks. Spring break in a week. How've you been, dear? :)

*waves to Aiden and Fanny* How are you both splendid people doing? =]

How exciting about going to Florida, Ben! I'm envious of the warm, sunny weather you must be experiencing at the moment. ;))

Interesting to see your thoughts on the 2005 P&P, Cor! :) I've watched clips of that one here and there, and the lighting and camera angles and all were quite impressive. I especially liked the beginning scene, how they introduce everyone's personality without having to say much.

Hullo, Bother Eustace! I've seen you around the forum, but I don't know if we've met. I think we did in chat the other day, though. Sorry. *is not having the most spectacular memory at the moment* But hello, all the same! Good to see you in the Square. =]

*waves to Gtg and LH* :)

Heya, GeorgieXOXOsmile! I don't think we've met-- you can call me AitB or Bella. *extends hand in greeting*

Hiya, Lark! How's you? :)

It's a...*forgot the official Winter-Ruby name merged together* Winter-Ruby post! With Mel and Ben, I see. Excellent edition. ^^ *giggles at the Disclaimer*

Queen S!! How are you doing? Haven't seen you recently around Facebook or here. *missed you* ;)

Good luck with the "flambeauWrimo" (a-hee!), flam!

Anna, I'm sorry I wasn't around to chat with you for some time! By the way, the other parts I read that you added to your book were excellent. :) I really am impressed by the way you so easily carry on a time period like, say, 1989-- I find writing around then extremely challenging, so you go! =]

*waves to Mel*
And how are you doing of late? :)

I believe I'm done now. And I think I'm almost as satisfied as I would be if I caught up from way back when. Anyhow, this will have to do. ;))

I'll be around for a little! :)

Hi Libby! Haven't caught up with you in a while, how are you?

Bella, yes, we did meet in the chat room. Your memory mustn't be too terrible after all. :p It's too bad the first day of spring isn't so 'spring-y' for you... here's an emoticon hoping for warmth and sunshine for you - B-)

Thanks. I listened to some of those, I like Come by the Hills and The Voyage (Can't help thinking of VDT when I hear that title... )

Celtic Thunder! My sister loves them and I recently discovered I do to. They have some really nice songs. A couple of my favorites are Ride on and Heartbreaker which Ryan sing. He's so expressive and has such a cool voice!

So how is everyone? Is this just a place to talk about everyday life and random things?

*Cor and Vern enter the Square on this cold Sunday night. The Prince takes his usual seat humming snippets of film scores as Vern lights the fire in the fire-pit*

Mortereve all! Guess what? The CD I ordered arrived Thursday afternoon!!! :D :D Needless to say, I have been enjoying it over the weekend. ;) I think I'll need to rearrange my "Top 5 soundtracks" now, though..... ;))

Alright, time for catching-up: :)

------------------------------

@ Ali. Really? You think the actors look better in the '05 version? :- I Thought Darcy and Elizabeth looked rather nice, but everyone else looked.... how to put it.... kind of wet and unkept. To me it looked like everyone had just finished working outside in most scenes. :|

Ah, that could have something to do with it. S&S was my first exposure to Austen. I didn't even know who Jane Austen was outside of "Oh, she's a classic author you should read." :p

@ Georgie. Those are two very different films.

*waves to Ben..... again* :p

@ NN. I don't know, sometimes they keep the creatures secret until after the film is released. Then again, they have been showing the Kraken in all of the Clash of the Titans trailers, sooo.... ymwhisle

Have you had a chance to check out Once Upon a Time in the West yet? Since I finally got the CD, I've been listening to it enough so that three tracks keep replaying in my head.... ;))

@ Flam. Ahh, you finally returned! ;)

"Eh, it's a living." ~ Daffy Duck

I can only imagine how rough it was.... ;)

@ Bother Eustace. Quite welcome. :) Glad to know there is another guy (besides Lys) who prefers the '95 version. I would highly recommend reading the book sometime soon. It's a tad boring at the beginning, but it picks-up speed rather quickly.

@ Ruby. It looked like something Vern and I would have done. It helped to make the whole post all the more enjoyable. Two thumbs up! :-bd

Sounds like you had an equally fun weekend. :) What kind of keyboard are you wanting to get and what kind of songs are you working on? (Sorry for the barrage of questions.... )

@ Lark. I noticed and read the recipe. Still doesn't sound like something i would like, but I digest. :p

Congrats! Please do. I'll be interested to hear what you think of it. :D

*starts humming Jill's theme*

@ Djaq. I believe I will try this "quote box" thing to make our chats a little easier to remember (mainly for my sake. ;)) ) :

I am trying to improve and I'm glad to see it's showing. Thank you, kind sir!

Aye, that it is missy. That it is.... Quite welcome, miss Djaq!

Yes, 'twas fun but also time consuming. My, my, you are starting to sound like Cor!
Ahem, no offense, Cor.

*I'm sure it would be! Yes, an unfortunate side effect of living with him I'm afraid.... ;) *

You two have it in for me, I'm sure.... [-(

Yay! Glad you found it! For a beginner, I'd recommend the first episode. It's the best place to start. The first episode that I saw was actually towards the end of the season...I think it was "Tattoo? What Tattoo?" (number 8). But, I started watching it when it was first on TV, and my sister and I didn't find it until later on in the season.

Alright, I'll have to sit down and watch the first episode next week then. :) Various stuff came up this pass week, so I was unable to watch it. :-s

Wow, nicely done! Oh, you are a most gracious prince! *curtsies*

Well, thank you for the advice, Vern, but I think I'll let you do that for me. I'll just pretend not to notice the insult...
(completely kidding!)

Thank you! *Bows* Well, I try my best. It's hard sometimes, but I manage. ;)

*Ah, very well. Pardon me for a minute.... Vern nonchalantly walks over to Cor and with a fling of his hand, pushes the Prince into the fountain. Now, where were we?*

VERN!!!! You did that on purpose! For Djaq of all people!!! X(

*Do what? ymwhisle There is a nice fire lit tonight.... ;) *

*the Prince mutters something about dragons, maidens and the end of the world as he makes himself comfortable by the fire so he may dry off from his tumble into the fountain*

Wow, that's exactly what I think! I didn't know that you liked the '95 version. That's great!

Really? Great! Most of the girls around here seem to adore the new version. Glad to know you like the older version. :D The '95 P&P was the next Austen adaptation I saw after the 2007 S&S. :)

@ Bella. Thanks! Like I said, I liked the camera work and cinematography in the film, just not the adaptation and some of the messing they did with the story. Also some of the acting was.... not so great. :|

@ Lover of Narnia. Greetings and welcome to the Square! :D As you guessed, this is where you can talk about pretty much anything (within forum rules, of course. ;) )

Anyway, I'm PrinceCor or Cor as most everyone calls me. And this here is Vern, my pet dragon. :)

*It's a pleasure to meet you, miss!*

-------------------------

Whew! That took a while. #:-s Well, I think I got everything. Need to head back to the castle now. Goodnight to all and I hope everyone has a pleasant Monday, even if it is the first day of a new work week...

*Cor and Vern exit the Square with the Prince trying to whistle/hum Man with a Harmonica*

Avvie by the great Djaq!

*pokes and prods the Square, catching a few chocolates that fell from the chocolate tree with the vibrations* ;)

Well, since it's been around ten pages since I've visited, I figured it was high time. Plus, I can't sleep. ;;) Truly rare for me. So, I thought what better chance to ketchup here? 'Though no one is on to talk to, so I'll just talk to myself, aside from chuckling once again at Mel's comment of my Mel-manning-a-lemonade stand dream I had a couple of years ago. ;)) I can still visualize it so clearly.

And a big welcome to Bother Eustace and lover of narnia. Looks like you'll fit in just fine with all the SquareOnions here. :D

*waves to PrinceCor above (enjoy your new CD!) and pokes Vern* My dear dragon, in looking through my "fun photos" file, I found a pic of a sandwich I gave to you probably around Thanksgiving one year. Anyway, I figured it may be time to make another one for you. It really does look yummy. Voila and enjoy! :D

Also, a few of us were chatting about the Cookies We Do Not Name, reminiscing about the craziness fun that ensued. It took awhile, but I found the Square on the old forum where it all began ... so innocently, here, but the real clincher was Tiana's post. :)) This goes on for a couple of pages, but Robby and I realized that the buff men and the term "Cookies We Do Not Name" were not mentioned yet, so there must be another segment yet. I'll see if I can track it down and post the link when obtained. That whole scenario was just way too hilarious!

Well, I think my eyelids are finally beginning to droop, so night-night, all! (-|
