@Ben:Um,if we weren't alive we wouldn't be here,and we're on NarniaWeb,so of course we're well. :P ;)

Haha! Very true! :D

ahh cool, so I'm assuming there's pay involved :p

Yeah there is but I'm working for the family so I'm not getting anything except for food while I'm down there :D

dude you make me feel bad! :p

I'm sorry :( :((

I did, just finished watching it. I might start the next one too :p . It was sad though :| ;)

It was? :-

;)) . It is! That's why I love it. So great.Do you know that the guy that played Jesus actually has a huge nine inch scar on his back from the whipping scene! One time the guard accidentally hit him. He also got struck by lightning when they wre filming the crucifixion scene!

Really?! I did not know that, that's very interesting.

I know why God appears as such. I just don't agree with some of the theology in the book, or what I've heard of it. Maybe I'll read it when I'm a bit older and not so easily swayed in opinion. Not that I am very easily swayed, just kinda :p

Yeah you can't "rightfully" (*smiles at the use of that word*) judge it till you read it :D
I know what you mean by easily swayed by opinions! I'm the same way!

Mortereve Ya'll! Happy Sunday! Quick poll: Anyone else forget to change their clocks for Daylight Savings Time? :p

Hello,Bother Eustace! :) Sweet graphics! I've never seen Psych,but I've heard it's pretty good.

Thanks, Lark! I like Psych, it's a really interesting and funny show. Actually, the first time I saw it I thought it was too ridiculous (it can be pretty wacky at times). The fourth season just ended last Wednesday.

Thanks! Well its for work but when I'm working with my brothers its fun!

Nice! Yeah, that's true, working can be really fun with the right people around ;) Do you guys have your own painting business?

BotherEustace I like your avatar and signature. Psych is pretty good, though there's a bit too much language and bad humor a lot of the time. Of course, any of that is too much.

It does have some of that sometimes, which is really too bad! but I find it's a good deal better than a lot of shows out there. Not that that's an excuse /:) Some episods are better than others in that respect.

*waves to Bother Eustace* Nice to see you on the Square! How have you been as of late?

I have been very well, thank you. Fighting a bit of a cold, actually, but nothing serious. And how're you? I've never heard of the "Sons of Korah"; they sing Psalms? Sounds interesting, I'm going to check it out.

Mortereve everyone! :)

*waves to Bother Eustace* sorry I forgot so say hi on my last post :p . I'm doing fine how bout you? :)

Quick poll: Anyone else forget to change their clocks for Daylight Savings Time? :p

I don't have to change my clock- I have an iHome and it sets itself :p

@Ali:Well,I'm sure that was a relief. :)
Of course I'm enjoying it! :P ;) I've actually got my sister addicted to "Deathbed". It's like Owl City all over again. :P I caught her listening to "Do You Feel" by The Rocket Summer too! :D
I still need their self-titled Cd,The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek, and Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...But Three Do. The store I buy my music only has TAOTTIC though,so I'll have to order the other two online. But I'm trying to take a break from buying so many Cd's. I wonder how long it'll last...:P
I also got the new Sanctus Real Cd. It's VERY good. :)
So what's new with you? :)

;))

:p cool. I wish I could get my sibs to like the music I listen to. I used to try but they just messed up the songs on purpose to annoy me 8-| . They still do it now but not as much :p . Awesome! (about DYF!) I love that song :p
AAAh I want Sanctus Real's new CD! I've heard some of it and it sounds so good :D . Get TLDMARBTD first! It's one of their best CDs :p
Not much. Last night I got a bad cold but it went away really fast. It might have been an allergic reaction to something :- . What's going on with you? :)

Yeah there is but I'm working for the family so I'm not getting anything except for food while I'm down there :D

ok. But food's still good :p

I'm sorry :( :((

*works through a ketchup post backwards, just 'cause*

But Mel has already vanished at the sound of the word "McDonalds"

That's because it's not polite to start singing a song that's not exactly complimentary to the restaurant and staff in public, and I'm afraid that I might have when faced with McDonalds food. ;)) I don't remember all the words, but I'd probably have started around, 'tastes like cardboard and chews like sponge'. You'd never have asked me back. :p

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our hosts and sponsors for allowing... oh, they've gone. Oh well. *waves and yells* I enjoyed myself very much!

^ Glenstorm, you might enjoy the song, if you haven't heard it already. ;))

Are they coming along okay? What style are they (if you don't mine my asking)? :)

Yeah, I think they're coming along okay. There are a few different styles. The bride decided to let everyone choose their own, so only the fabric will match. This is the one I'll be wearing; just imagine the middle version in blue. :)

Do you know if [Wings of Dawn] is any different? I mean like the series of books vs the one book?

No, I don't. But if you have the book, you could look on the copyright page. Most books like that will have something saying 'this work was originally published in a slightly altered form as etc.' or something like that. :)

Congrats on 3200 posts, Mel!

How did everyone take the time change today? Any funny stories?

A friend sent me an email late last night noting that if he'd not seen a reminder on the news, he would have forgotten the change was this weekend. I don't have any funny stories, but it'll take a few days to adjust to what amounts to an hour of jet lag. My little tummy is most confused by this change in dining times. ;))

Today is the warmest day here since last fall - it's 62F/17C - and most of our snow has melted. I'm looking forward to spring and maybe a little camping before the heat and mosquitoes come out!

And it was cloudy all last week. Nice to see a little sun today!

*Cor and Vern enter the Square with the Prince humming various snatches of film scores*

Mortereve all! I hope everyone has had a good weekend? Mine has been very pleasant, though I was quite annoyed that the time change happened last night..... *sigh*

For those that were wondering what I thought of P&P '05: I liked it, but greatly prefer the '95 version. The '05 version had a great visual style and some interesting camera movements (following the Bennett family through the ball room, following Elisabeth before going into the house, etc.), a good score and good acting by at least half the cast. Though, as an adaptation it was rather disappointing. :|

Pretty much what I expected.

3 1/2 out of 5.

*Cor and Vern take their seats at the fountain as the Prince begins a catch-up post while listening to Legend*

--------------------------------------

@ NN. Heh, well, you're right. :p

Aye, that it is! I suspect we'll get a teaser trailer possibly sometime during the summer. I would really like to see a model of the sea serpent or dragon, though they will probably keep those two secret until the film is released....

For the longest time I only knew his work from The Mission and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (<--- which I find to be on the goofy side, musically). I think you would Once Upon a Time in the West. It has that sweeping, epic sound you like. :)

@ Ali. Well, I'll refer you to my opening as to what I thought of the film. For me, the most recent BBC version of Sense & Sensibilities is my favorite adaptation. :)

@ Ben. *also refers to his opening sentences as to his thoughts on the film* ;) :p

@ Bother Eustace. Greetings and well met! Welcome to the Square! :D You seem to be fitting in rather well with us.

@ Georgie. The film I'm talking about is the 1985 Ridley Scott fantasy film with Tom Cruise, Mia Sara and Tim Curry. Is that the same one you saw?

@ Lark. Haha! Thanks.... I think. :p Yeah, I don't think my style would fit what they like.

Yeah, youtube comes in handy for such things. Also for listening to songs without listening to the radio. :)

*for the third time refers to the opening of his post for his opinion on said film*

@ Winter. I cracked up at the disclaimer at the end of your post! =))

@ QueenSu. *contemplates waving to QueenSu and finally decides to give a royal wave* ;)

@ Ruby. My weekend was splendid! :D Watched P&P '05 on Friday night, went to the local dairy and got hamburgers on the way back on Saturday and then spent the day with my grandmother today. :)

How about you?

*waves to Gazer and Mel*

@ Mel. Congrats on post 3200!!! :D :D/

-------------------------

Alright, that gets everything for tonight. Talk with ya'll later!

I agree with your critique but I give it a four. Adaption is the only thing that keeps it from a 5, it's just too short :p . I haven't seen the 1995 version yet so I can't compare it to that, but the actors in '05 look so much better!

I think Sense and Sensibility is my fave adaption too, but I still like the '05 P&P better :p . Probably b/c it was my first Austen book and movie. :)

Hey, everyone! I'm getting into the routine of being on NarniaWeb again and following up on posts! :)

The film I'm talking about is the 1985 Ridley Scott fantasy film with Tom Cruise, Mia Sara and Tim Curry. Is that the same one you saw?

Oh, I just realized the one I was talking about it I am Legend (Will Smith)

A friend sent me an email late last night noting that if he'd not seen a reminder on the news, he would have forgotten the change was this weekend. My stomach is confused at lunch and dinner times also! :p I set my clock forward like at 10PM so I wouldn't forget and then today (Sunday) I woke up an hour later because my clock did something weird and I had to get ready for church in about 20 minutes. (I managed to curl my hair even though I usually have an hour...I'm speedy )

lol me either. ;)) . I do like it though. I recently got the soundtrack out of the library :D

Nice! :) Is it good so far?

Yes I would suggest that you read the book, as long as you don't read it with the intention of finding fault with it :) If you read it with an open mind you will know way better where Will (the guy who wrote the book) was coming from
