Oh, and sorry for thinking you were younger than you are. ;)

I forgive you, I suppose. [-( (<- my emoticon doesn't, though)

Ahhh, Solstice Wood. Just a quick warning: while I have heard that works perfectly fine as a stand-alone book, I have also heard that it makes more sense when read after Winter Rose, as it deals with descendants of the earlier book's protagonists, as well as some of the same themes.

I'm glad my toe got you out of lurkerdom, Gwen. I think it will be all right. *nods to both young ladies, thanking them for their care and concern* By the way, WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO COLLEGE? :-

EDIT: That sounds like an excellent Buble song, JP. I'll have to look it up.

And I've since lost track of the conversation you are referencing, kk. ;))

Hi JillPole! I haven't seen you in a long time. How are you?

I should at least learn how to do quotes. Everyone else is doing them, so it can't be that hard. ;))

I'm officially undeclared, but I'm actually probably going to major in Biology, with a second major of French (which I'll definitely at least minor in) or European Studies. I am considering a math minor, though. I'm taking Calculus III this semester, basically just for fun, as I've got enough math credit already. I'd hate to quit math entirely. The problem is that I like just about everything.

Ah, Gwen, that is why I did Engineering. :D I liked everything! It helped that my school allowed me to do a five year program that involved the impact of engineering on society and also let me take some artsy electives- french, spanish, and linguistics.

I am well! I am now out of school and into the working world. Life is very different. For the first time in 18 years, I am not going back to school! Work's good though. I'm just waiting to get some stuff to do...

It is an excellent song, Lys!

This reminds me strongly of Rack, Shack, and Benny.

@ Lys. Oh great.... Don't tell me that!! I want to at least have the "idea" that I'll finally get freedom. ;) Though, I do plan on finding a job, which will cut into my freedom... anyway.

Glad to hear they went well. :) Sounds like a very annoying girl.... 8-|

*tips hat to the ladies about the Square*

--------------------

Well, school started for me today. It was actually a pretty good first day of school. :) Most of my subjects are either on the computer or reading books, which feels strange after so many years of working out of workbooks.

Well, I should be heading to bed now.... Goodnight to all!

I was editing my post above, but since others have posted since I'll just make this a new post.

So, where I am going to college... I've actually stayed in my town and am going to the state university here. Honestly, I'm not sure I made the right choice. I ended up getting accepted to every college to which I applied, which included some rather prestigious ones, and got at least decent scholarships for all of them. It's hard not to imagine what it would be like if I went to one of those, or the little liberal arts college in Pennsylvania that I liked a lot. In the end, there were multiple factors, one of which was that I really couldn't beat the scholarship here. Among other things, I can study abroad as much as I want for free. A common one for my particular scholarship is to spend a year at Oxford. (I think I'd rather go to Reykjavik, though.) But then, going somewhere so I can leave it for a while isn't a great reason to go there.

Ugh, that was long. But anyway, that's where I am.

That sounds like a really cool program, JillPole. I'm glad work is good for you.

You had started a post with a warning about quotes, that is what I was referring to.

JillP, Gwen; I'm glad that the two of you like school so much that ya'll took a five year program and Calculus III just for fun.
I on the other hand, though I do like to learn, am not a someone who will take Calculus for fun.(though I did take it this year when I didn't have to..maybe I'm wrong about myself):P

With what I plan to take in College, I shouldn't have to do too much math, but it won't kill me to do it. When I understand it, I actually do enjoy it.

Edit: *waves to PC*

Gwen, that's outstanding that you were so widely accepted. I hope that your choice turns out to be a good one.

I understand, Kingskid. I'm kind of the same way about writing, actually. I'm one of the very few on here who doesn't enjoy writing. When I do enjoy it, it's essays and technical writing and such, and not creative stuff. I'm not especially good at writing, anyway. But then, I wouldn't say I'm especially good at math and such either. I just tend to do well in it because I enjoy it.

Hmm, I should get an avatar. I could go back to the one I've had on the other forum for three years. It's so unexciting even I don't remember exactly was. Or I could just be boring and stay avatarless. Or I could get a new one. But then that would involve more decisions.

I prefer to read about science though I don't always understand it, and I love history and geography.
Writing...I like it once I get going, but getting going is the hardest thing for me to do.
I'd say I am best at tests, whatever they are. I usually can get through them without much trouble. Section reviews and such...not quite the same story.

I could give you one of my turkey pics, they always make great avatars.;)😛
I'd suggest something fallish with bright oranges and yellows...but that's just me.

Goooooood morning! For indeed it is morning at the moment. It's taken me a while to get back on here, and I apologize. I had to customize the viewing... I just couldn't scroll though the forums. I widened up the pages so now the text area is about twice as large as it was before. This is all possible using FireFox extensions that override the CSS that Tirian put in place. It was just really hard for me to read such narrow posts! This is much better, albeit customized for my screen.

KK, JP, Gwen, Lys, PC, who all posted on this page - good to see you! I hope to stop by soon.

God bless, Peter Pevensie.

Mortereve all! :)

Pretty good, NN95. I'm swamped with schoolwork. What about you?

Ooh, D-T-R, that's great! Working at Hallmark sounds like fun! :)

Oh yeah! I love rollercoasters that go upside down a ton, Djaq! :D It's so cool when they go upside down, 'cause you can see the sky and the clouds and the sun all flashing by. ;))

It's been a bit cooler out lately, where I live, FF. BTW, I'll be praying for the boy and his mom!

Lol, that sounds nice, Lady Arwen. ;)) Ours was good, thanks! We went bike-riding for a couple hours with some friends. We had a great time, it was nice and cool out and perfect weather for being outside.

Ooh, you're getting braces, EP? Ouch! Hope everything goes well. I'll be getting braces again sometime later this fall. It's no fun. :(

I've been good, thanks, EP! Busy with schoolwork. How about yourself? :D

I know, whenever I see your avie, EP, I think it's one of my posts, then I see your username. ;))

Ouch! I'm sorry about your surgery, TGW. :(

Aw, I'm sorry, ceppault. :( It's so sad when pets die.

Gah. This took so long to write. Well, I'm done. Today we're going to the library. :D Also, I'm working on playing a new song on the piano.

Mortereve all!

Seriously, Aiden, that is not at all a bad idea. :)

My screen name breaks down like this: CEP Paul T. Taking it apart, CEP stands for Certified Emergency Paramedic. This comes from the state of Arizona's designation for Paramedics. Other states don't use the acronym; Arizona just had to be different. The T in the name is actually my middle initial for Timothy. Never thought I would become involved in the forum, otherwise I would have made some sort of cool Narnian name and not one based on my email address I could not forget. /:)

Thanks!

Ah, thanks for breaking that down. I'm pretty sure you've explained that to me before, but I guess I forgot. You didn't think you'd be much involved with the forum? /:)

Don't worry...you will. (slip up, that is ;) )

Agh, please don't taunt me like that! %-( *keeps repeating to himself* I won't slip up, I won't slip up.

No problem? How lucky you are! I find all my character flaws to be problems. "Mistakeless" is to a word! It's in the fifth volume of the third edition of Dictionary of the Stars!!!

I assure you that all of my character flaws are minor, to be sure. :p
I'm sorry, but I don't believe the Dictionary of the Stars is a recognized English dictionary.

Double N, I'm not that young of an NWbber......ok I take that back I am pretty new.

Well, you're a little under two years old, NW time. And I'm a little over two years old. NarniaWeb has been around for six years. So we're both pretty young. :p

lys, sorry to hear about the about not-so-great Spanish classmates. Glad you enjoy Spanish itself, though!

Ditto to yourself! :D

Thank you! :)

Sorry to hear about your cracked toenail! :(

Pretty good, NN95. I'm swamped with schoolwork. What about you?

Glad to hear it! Hope the homework isn't too overwhelming—just enough to keep you busy! ;) I'm doing great, thanks!

All done catching up. Mort'reve all!

Hello all! *Waves*

Um, strange question, but is that a chicken's leg in your avatar, kingskid?

Agh, please don't taunt me like that! %-( *keeps repeating to himself* I won't slip up, I won't slip up.

You keep telling yourself that. I'll just stand here, and not say anything to you, so as to not be tempted to taunt you. ;)

I assure you that all of my character flaws are minor, to be sure. :p
I'm sorry, but I don't believe the Dictionary of the Stars is a recognized English dictionary.

*Snorts* Sure they are. *sarcastic* Of course it's not! It's a dictionary of the Stars, silly! It shouldn't be recognized by a bunch of mere mortals! That would be degrading! (Er, you didn't think I was being serious, did you? I do know that there is no such thing as the Dictionary of the Starsand I do know "mistakeless isn't a word.)

See y'all!
