Eh, sorry; the quiz doesn't work that way. You actually have to click an answer, which will lead you to a picture telling you you got the right answer. If you didn't get such a picture while answering the question, you didn't get it right.

Sorry; it's not that easy. Try again. :p

*enters square humming "Pleading the Fifth" by Relient K*

Well...it is very late. I actually started this post several hours ago, but got interrupted several times in the process and so am only now completing it. And it seems that I have not posted at all today on NarniaWeb! :-o *gasps*

But I actually have some legitimately good excuses this time! Morning: I was working at school. Afternoon: I was working on school, and teaching dance. Evening: I was decorating cards with the high school girls' bible study. *smiles innocently* Those are legitimate excuses, right?

Ok, they're not. But I've had a marvelous day!! The sun was out, it was warm and beautiful, and almost spring!! Everything just needs to turn green... :P

I love how enthusiastic you are about your day. I think it's contagious, for it's certainly brightened my day, which was fairly nice already. :)

Well, I'm glad it brightened up your day!! Because I sure was loving the sunshine. :) And I was so happy to see it out again today!!! :D

The lady is Jennifer Connelly as Sarah in the movie Labyrinth. I love her hair and earrings, and she shows up every so often in that space. ;))

I've never seen that movie or heard of it, until now. Is it good? (Well, obviously, you like it. :P )

Dani: it's not so much anymore but I was doing alot for a while. I was hoping to finish high school early which is why I was doing so much math (and science too, I'm doing chemistry right now even though i'm only in 10th grade) but I'm barely keeping up in my other subjects, so sadly, I don't think I'll be graduating early :(

Aw, that's too bad that you won't get school done early. Do you work through the summer? That's what I usually do. But, my goal isn't to get high school done early. My goal is to simply get it done. :P I'll be lucky if I get through it all in the space of the next two years. I'm actually the opposite of you. I'm only a little behind in math and science, but in all my other subjects I'm ahead. :P I really hope you graduate early!! My older sister, JMoon graduated early. You don't really need much except hard-core determination (of which I lack very much).

Thanks! Yeah no fun at all! [-( How about your cold? Are you getting better?

I'm feeling much better, thank you!! :) But I'm still extremely tired. *glances at clock* Hehe, and I understand that's my fault. But, hey! Tomorrow's Saturday! :D

Dani:I saw your first post yesterday, but wasn't able to reply yet,and had "High of 75" stuck in my head for the rest of the day. ;))

*chuckles* I had the song still stuck in my head today. It was very appropriate due to the sunshine. And I've been feeling so much better lately.

I agree, they are amazing. :D As for his first two CD's,I think Maybe I'm Dreaming is better than Of June. But Of June does have some good music on it. :)

I really want to get their earlier albums. My sister JMoon and I heard about them and so she bought "Ocean Eyes" just to check them out. I had heard a lot about them, but didn't think I'd like them that much. Turns out, I loved their music more than my sister did!! And she left all of it on my computer before she left. So I get to listen to it all the time. :)

I don't think I could handle sharing a room with any of my sisters.
I tried to convince one of my sisters to join NW,but she didn't want to so I quit asking. I hope you have better luck convincing Nerdlet to join. :)

For me, it sort of depends on which sister I'm sharing the room with. See, many years ago all five sisters used to share one room. It was pretty crazy, but I got used to being the "little sister". And so having to share a room with my little sister didn't really work. For one, there's a huge age gap and I didn't like having barbies and my little ponies and pet shop toys all over the room. And my little sister just doesn't like sharing a room. But I'm really close to my older sisters and was so happy that I got to move back in with my elder sister, even if it's just one.

I'm hoping my sister will get on here sometime. It might take a while though to convince her... :)

Well, isn't that just the way government works anyway? ;)) You're absolutely right, all this green eco-friendly things are just pointless. And, global warming is lunacy... it's funny to look back over history at the other times they predicted global warming, or, as in the case of about 30 or 40 years ago, they were predicting another ice age!

It'll take a long time before they ever take advantage of that oil in Alaska. Even if they did have to re-route some wildlife, is it worth depriving us of a vital natural resource to save some animals? I realize that they're important, but not more so than humans!

You've hit the nail right on the head. The environmentalists think that the it's their job to sustain the world. They think since oil will run out soon, they have to find ways to get energy indefinitely. But the world will end when God comes and I believe there are plenty of resources to last us until then, so it's just a waste of money to try to find alternatives.

There's still nothing wrong with trying to make a better environment with cleaner air and water for people. But if you're trying to make the environment better simply for the purpose of preserving trees and bunny rabbits, then I think your perspective has been skewed a little. Environmentalists go overboard by striving to make the earth perfect again. I actually think it's interesting, because both Christians and atheistic scientists are striving for the same goal--perfection. But they're going about it in two different ways. Christians believe that the earth is corrupt, that man is corrupt, but that Jesus will come and make all things perfect again. They are striving towards perfection by trusting in Jesus, spreading his gospel, and awaiting his return. Environmentalists are driven by fear towards "perfection", but their struggles are completely without hope.

Only from a Christian world view can you keep a balanced perspective on the environment. Since Christians believe that God gave man the dominion mandate, they do take care of the Earth. But they do not go so far as to regard the Earth more than they do God or themselves, because they believe that the Earth was intended for man and man for God. But in the end, no man's struggles to improve the environment to the point of perfection will succeed. Because the environment was destroyed the day of the fall and will never be completely renewed until (as we've been saying) Christ returns!

I say, stop worrying about the trees, the bees, and the moose and start watching and waiting for the day Christ returns. If you really want a perfect environment, that's what you'll do. :)

*chuckles at her monstrous sized thoughts on the topic* I really am having too much fun with this...

stardf, your quiz confuseled me... :- How is it supposed to work?

Oh my goodness!! It is late... :-o And I really must be off to bed. :)

God bless, all! Sleep well!

Just finished watching the 1995 version of Persuasion :) . I like the newer version better, though neither is great. We started watching Nim's Island but my dad woke up and told us it was too late to start another movie, even though my mom already said we could watch it :| :( . Oh well, we'll just watch it tomorrow. Not that I really mind, I'm not all that excited to watch the movie, I just wanted to stay up later :p .

Ben: I like the movie as well. I need to watch it again, I've only seen it twice :p .

The books are really good! I don't know if you'd like them, but they are fantasy :D ;) . The first book is basically a kid finding out his dad is the Greek god Poseidon. So he's a demigod/halfblood. Then he finds out that Zeus thinks he stole his lightning bolt. So the book is basically him trying to find the lightning bolt and get it back to Zeus to clear his name and prevent a war between the gods. The plot is a little more complicated then that but I don't want to give too much away, in case you end up reading the entire series :p :) .

Dani: Yeah we go through the Summer. I like doing it that way b/c you're not so rushed and you don't forget anything during four months of free time :p . I hope I graduate early too! I'd have to spend a ton more time on my other subjects though. And I prefer to spend my free time on NW or reading than doing extra school :p .

This song is sort of the story of my day...bad day. Really bad day. Everything's just been going wrong today. Well, that's actually an exaggeration. But, either way, it's been one of those days where you get to the end of it and all you want to do is cry. I haven't had one of those days in a while, so I guess it's about time...

Hehe, I hope you all are having a better Saturday than I am. :) I'm making it sound really bad, but it really isn't. I'm just extremely upset right now. :P

A little catch up...

Dani: Yeah we go through the Summer. I like doing it that way b/c you're not so rushed and you don't forget anything during four months of free time :p . I hope I graduate early too! Same here! But, fortunately, this summer, I'll be doing more History and Literature than math in the summer. Though I'll have to do a little bit of both in order to keep up. :)

I'm glad that you are!
I love sleeping in on Saturdays! ;))

Oh, I just like to sometimes italicize words that I'm trying to emphasize within a sentence. :) I guess it's just a way to stress a word that you're trying to,well, stress. :P

I guess that's all for now...the square doesn't seemed to have moved along much today, so I think I'll be popping off for now! :)

God bless!

Actually, I've never seen it. =)) You should get Valia to tell you the story of my first Labyrinth avatar. ;) From what I've heard about it, it sounds like the sort of movie I'd like in theory since it's fantasy and involves a quest and mythical creatures and annoying siblings. Of course, the other memorable thing people mention when they talk about Labyrinth is David Bowie in tights. So. :|

EDIT: *gives Dani a * I'd say something comforting, but I can't think of a few sustaining words. Hmmm. I think that sounds like something Rabbit or maybe Piglet would say, or want to have said. I hope tomorrow is better!

*waves back to Ben* The most exciting thing that has happened to me lately is that I've been using an online library to read a few hard to find books. Not quite as exciting as your trip to Florida. ;))

I think it's the spring weather, which I really do love, and the sunshine actually feeling warm, and being able to spend time with my family getting to know God more and plans for the future, which I do believe God has given me another inkling of today, sooo yeah! :D And how are you and your family?

How is the music going for you?

Ah yes, those feelings are absolutely wonderful. :) And I do love Spring as well! :D It's my favorite season. :) And spending time with family is usually enjoyable as well. (And if it's not, it's only because somebody is in a rather unwholesome mood most likely..)
We're all doing well, thank you!! :D Today the whole family except Dad and my oldest brother (they were working and on a trip) helped a couple from our church move in to a new home, so that was fun and really nice. It's a good feeling to know you helped someone out a lot. :)
Music is going well, thank you! :) I'm really enjoying it I think. ;)) 2 competition songs are coming along and being slowly memorized for piano... And in violin I think I'm progressing as well. :D

Hooray! Congratulations on 1000 posts, flam!!

*waves back to Lark* :)

Oh, how long have you been playing violin? Um, you're glad about a dentist apointment? :-o That's kinda...scary.

Hehe, no not especially. Dentist appointments are never barrels of fun. ;) But they aren't so bad--most of the time. I was just laughing at my statement "Life is exciting"... because I don't have much going on. ;))
Oh, and I just started playing violin... a bit less then 17 weeks ago. :)

Ooo! Queen Susan I didn't know you played violin! I've only just started (about 3 years ago). It's was one of my bucket list items and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
What pieces are you playing right now?

Ah yes, I actually just started... 17 weeks ago. ;)) So it's been only very recently that I started, but I'm really enjoying it. :D I'm using the Suzuki method, and so far I'm on song... Hm. 7? 8? I'm not sure. Anyway, over halfway through the first book... :)

*stays out of the whole OwlCity discussion*

;)) I take it you might not be too fond of him? :p Neither are 3 out of my 7 brothers... ;))

Btw, how are you enjoying TobyMac's new CD? And speaking of dentist app'ts, I had a cleaning/check-up yesterday. No cavities ... wooot! :D Is yours a regular check-up or are you having something specific done?

Quite a bit actually. :) I've only heard three of the songs yet though... But I like all of them so far. :)
Oh, yay! I'm hoping I won't have any cavities. The dentist told me two years ago that my teeth are "prone to rottenness". /:) What a nice thing to hear. ;)) I haven't had one since then I don't think though... I'm hoping it stays that way. They cost so much to fill it seems. :p
Yep, regular checkup. I believe I had a dentist appointment for the first time when I was 12 or 13. ;)) And one every year since. :) And who knows, I might get braces sometime this summer as well... Hm. :)

Aw, I'm really sorry you had a bad day, Ruby. :(

*It's a lonely, quiet night at the Town Square.... Two figures enter from either end of the Square: one wearing a leather jacket and fedora, the other looking suspiciously like a dragon. The two figures stand still as the far off echo of a distorted harmonica begins to play.

Suddenly, a distorted guitar joins the harmonica in the unmistakable sound of Man with a Harmonica. As the two figures approach one another, a solo tumbleweed rolls by between the man and dragon. The music suddenly switches to B.J Thomas singing Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head as the figures meet and walk towards the fountain, chatting all friendly-like*

*Ha! That was a great introduction!! :D Although, I thought we agreed that the music would go from Ennio Morrcone to the Beatles? /:) *

Well, I thought B.J Thomas would fit a little better given the western theme. Besides, it's a great song. :)

*Very true.*

Well, Mortereve all! Hope you enjoyed our little opening dramatization. It was written by yours truly with a little help from Vern. ;) And if you have not guessed, I've been listening to Once Upon a Time in the West a lot on youtube lately. :p

Anyway, I suppose I should make a catch-up post before 3 more pages go by.... :-o You people are posting too much!!! :p

------------------------------------

@ Lark. Ah, so you're her "guinea pig". ;) Mom's and grandmothers are really good at that.... ;))

Glad you enjoyed the review! :) Yeah, I couldn't help but put that in there. :p If I could get paid for it I would love to! Unfortunately, the few places I have looked that take submissions won't pay. :( Oh well, maybe I'll stumble across someplace that does.

Neat! Yeah, most of the lead singers/founders of most of the big Classic Rock groups have gone solo. It seems to be their "thing".

Taylor Swift and Def Leppard?! :-o That's.... strange to say the least. You should have bought it! :p

@ Ruby. Ahh, that's where castles come in so handy. Lots of big rooms and hallways plus a massive kitchen with full staff plus Lady A. ;) :D

To answer both you and QueenSusan at once: No, I really don't care for Owl City. Overly auto-tuned and synthesizer heavy pop just aren't my thing. Sorry!

BTW, sorry you had such a rough day today. Hope tomorrow is much better for you!

@ Winter. Hmm, don't know.... (I know who you are talking about, but I also can't spell his name. :p )

@ Jo. I suppose we can forgive you.... Though, if you are going to watch an Alien movie, I would say watch Aliens. It's truly a good movie, gory but good. SL would back me up. ;)

*Oh.... Wow! Thank you most kindly, miss Jo! :D *

Ooh! I get dibs on the grapes!!

@ NN. I'm not sure.... I don't think the picture quality of the DVD would be affected by digital film, though I'm not 100% sure about that.

I wanted to see Avatar when it came out (in either 3D or normal), but I've decided to simply wait for the DVD. May not be as impressive on a computer screen, but it will cheaper. ;) Plus it will be the ultimate test for the film: does it still look good off of the big screen?

@ Ali. I'll have to finish sometime. Maybe our library can get the DVD.... :)

@ Mel. *feels like he should share some useless information about Labyrinth, but has not studied nor seen said film* Ah ha! Directed by Jim Henson and executive produced by George Lucas. The "Leonard Maltin 2010 Movie Guide" to the rescue again! He also gives it a 3 out of 4 rating. :p

*"picking on her"? I thought it was a show of affection..... :- It's what we've always done.*

-----------------------------------

Well, I think that does it for tonight. :) Hope everyone has a splendid night and a good Sunday!

Miss Jo, thank you ever so kindly for the huge fruit tray. I managed to snatch a piece of fresh pineapple before Vern devoured it. It was most excellent!

@Ruby: I'm sorry you've had a bad day today. I have those sometimes, myself. Today was very busy and I didn't get to do some of the things I really wanted to do, but, after all, tomorrow is another day! *theme song from Gone With The Wind plays softly - and briefly - in the background*

This will have to be a quick post tonight. I need to get back to Anvard and get to bed on time for church tomorrow. That annoying thing called "time change" is tonight, I think. Running clocks back and forth just make me dizzy!

*Lady Amalthea crosses the Square and, in her dizziness, finds herself falling into the fountain. But wait! What's that? A dragon swoops down from above and catches the lady just before she lands in the water! Amazing! What acrobatics and timing!*

Vern! Thank you ever so kindly!

Don't mention it, Lady A. Happy to oblige.

*The Lady and The Dragon fly happily back to the castle*

Would you like a snack when we get back to the castle, Vern?

Some ice cream would be nice. I noticed That Father of Cor's bought some peanut butter/chocolate Hagaan Daz.

Oooh! That would be lovely! Where did he hide it this time?
