I think I was just excited to be out in the warm sunshine for a change, to be able to put on spring clothes, and not be blowing my nose every five seconds.

I love how enthusiastic you are about your day. I think it's contagious, for it's certainly brightened my day, which was fairly nice already.
The lady is Jennifer Connelly as Sarah in the movie Labyrinth. I love her hair and earrings, and she shows up every so often in that space.
EDIT: Oh, and flambeau, DTR and Betsie will be interested in knowing that I've just started Manalive, so I can take my proper place in the conspiracy very soon.

Say hi to your siblings for me!

Thanks! Yeah no fun at all! How about your cold? Are you getting better?
Okay I will

Dani: it's not so much anymore but I was doing alot for a while. I was hoping to finish high school early which is why I was doing so much math (and science too, I'm doing chemistry right now even though i'm only in 10th grade) but I'm barely keeping up in my other subjects, so sadly, I don't think I'll be graduating early .
Ben: yeah it is. Not to mention it feels a lot hotter than it really is b/c everyone keeps their ACs on full blast so when you step outside it's like going from a freezer to an oven .
*walks into the square eating a Krispy Kreme donut*
I can't wait 'til the hymn contest next month!!
Dani:I saw your first post yesterday, but wasn't able to reply yet,and had "High of 75" stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
I agree, they are amazing. As for his first two CD's,I think Maybe I'm Dreaming is better than Of June. But Of June does have some good music on it.
I don't think I could handle sharing a room with any of my sisters.
I tried to convince one of my sisters to join NW,but she didn't want to so I quit asking. I hope you have better luck convincing Nerdlet to join.
jo:Aw,thanks,jo. That's very kind of you to say.
I can be,erm,a little crazy sometimes though.
Have you started the Percy Jackson books? And if so,are you enjoying them? I think they're much better than the Harry Potter books.
Ali:Sorry,I was confusing you with someone else. Yay that you like country!
It's a staple where I live.
I don't like everyone in it,but I do like a good amount. Yeah,I listen to Taylor Swift, too. I think it's neat that she writes/co-writes all of her songs. Hehe, two months ago,the "boy" thing is actually what kept me listening to her.
I listen to a lot more alt. rock than I used too. And it's partly your fault.
Do you like Evanescence?
Coolio! You live near a recording studio? Sweeeet! The one nearest me is an hour or two away.
Aw,thanks. You know,I think it's actually common that if you play well by ear,you have trouble reading sheet music and vice versa. So don't feel bad.
Our church is short on piano players too. My friend plays on Wednesday,I play on Sunday night, and when the Sunday morning pianist can't make it. I'm really particular about what I play though. I always check the key signature and if it has more than two sharps or two flats(at the most three flats),I won't even attempt to learn it.
"A god named Fred?"
I like Apollo,but I like Morpheus better.
I wished that I had come up with the PJ series too!
Ditto. Stories based on legends with a modern twist seem to do very well. I'm actually "writing" one about a lesser known legend,so I'm hoping no one steals my idea before/if I get it published.
Yeah. Mainly because I'd go around singing it. His songs are really fun to sing.
Sorry,I probably read that wrong. (that's what I get for staying up til 1am in the square.
) Glad to hear that you like it.
I *Still* need to review it...
Oh,I almost forgot! Rick Riordan is writing a new series about Egyptian mythology called "The Kane Chronicles". The first book is supposed to release in a month or two,I think. I just hope Mr. Riordan stays out of European mythology...
*waves to NN95 and Mel*
Mortereve all!
Thanks! Yeah it is not much to do for school compared to Public schooled kids but for us that's a pretty full school day
Well we don't really have certain times of the year that we don't do school we usually do it year round just whenever we canOh I see... Do you like the snow?
Well, I guess so! What grade are you in (if you don't mind saying)? In case you're curious, my classes are Spanish, math, science, history, English, literature, and Bible. Whew!
Ah, all year round! That way you don't have to work to finish up school by a certain day, so you can take days off and stuff.
Yes, I love it!
Wow, that's quite the post, Ali!
NN95: Si a mi no me gusta la nieve del todo. Me gustaría que todos se fueran.

Aw, ¿porque vives in New Hampshire si no te gusta la nieve? Bueno, no estará allí mucho más tiempo.
I think it's a little strange that there's a good alternative, but no one wants to use it. All the solutions today suggest that humans simply back off of the world, stop doing what they're doing, and everything will go back to normal again. It's really ridiculous. Global warming is obviously not happening. It was never proven true, but now it's been proven false. So they're calling it "climate change" instead.
Now that you mention it, I remember hearing a lot of controversy over the oil in Alaska. It was during the most recent presidential campaign, if I remember right. I'm sure that if they put their heads together, they could think of a constructive way to pump oil out of the ground and at the same time make sure none of the wild life was harmed.
The main problem is, most environmentalists are atheists and think that the world's going to end when we make it end. But in reality, it isn't going to end until Christ returns, which could be very soon or many years away. But either way, I believe that God's going to preserve His Word and His Church until that final day. I've heard a lot of scientists say that Christians just use this as an excuse to ignore the environment's problems. What about you?
Well, isn't that just the way government works anyway? You're absolutely right, all this green eco-friendly things are just pointless. And, global warming is lunacy... it's funny to look back over history at the other times they predicted global warming, or, as in the case of about 30 or 40 years ago, they were predicting another ice age!
It'll take a long time before they ever take advantage of that oil in Alaska. Even if they did have to re-route some wildlife, is it worth depriving us of a vital natural resource to save some animals? I realize that they're important, but not moreso than humans!
You've hit the nail right on the head. The environmentalists think that the it's their job to sustain the world. They think since oil will run out soon, they have to find ways to get energy indefinitely. But the world will end when God comes and I believe there are plenty of resources to last us until then, so it's just a waste of money to try to find alternatives.

Well just a bit of Catchup......
Ben: yeah it is. Not to mention it feels a lot hotter than it really is b/c everyone keeps their ACs on full blast so when you step outside it's like going from a freezer to an oven

Lol! So true! But when you are coming from outside into the AC ahhhhhh that feels great! lol
Well, I guess so! What grade are you in (if you don't mind saying)? In case you're curious, my classes are Spanish, math, science, history, English, literature, and Bible. Whew!
Ah, all year round! That way you don't have to work to finish up school by a certain day, so you can take days off and stuff.Yes, I love it!
Here comes another flaw in our family (or at least some people think that it is a flaw ) We don't do certain grades, we just do what we don't know
lol.
Oh cool! We do a little history too but not too much. But some of my siblings just study it because they like it a whole bunch! But me I never liked it in times past so I never learned it much. But now that I'm a little older I'm starting to enjoy history a little more so I might start more studying on that topic.
I think that English and Literature is one thing that we have lacked that we needed to study a little more.
As far as the Bible, every once and a while my Dad tells us to do a report on a certain part of scripture but other than those rare times we don't count Studying the Bible a school class, but everyone morning (or the mornings that we don't have friends here or are going to church or getting ready for something) we have what we call "Family time" where my Dad or Mom teaches out of the Bible and sometimes they have us tell what we think about that part of scripture. But pretty much all of my siblings and I just read out of the Bible regularly for Spiritual encouragement or just strengthening ourselves in the word of God.
I like snow too, but there is times of course when I wish it was not around lol but otherwise it is just so beautiful!
Well I'm going to head out now. Bye all!

Lark: He he yeah I listened to her at first too b/c of that but now it just annoys me. When I listen to her it's b/c I like her voice and the tune of the song. Like "Breathe" and "Forever & Always" are sooooo pretty. But I don't necessarily love the lyrics .
I've heard of them. Are they good?
Yeah someone at my piano teacher's church owns a recording studio. She's actually recording there currently.
Haha I know! I'm so bad at recognizing keys. I forget how many flats/sharps are in each key. It's kind of embarassing . When people hear my play they assume I'm good with stuff like that and I'm not
. I was asked to teach piano lessons and it took forever to convince my mom that I wasn't good enough. I couldn't teach someone how to play bass clef if I could hardly read it myself!
Fred?
Where'd you get that from?
Cool about your series! Is there any chance of you telling me which legend?
I promise I won't copy your idea!
lol I need to review it too. And Tonight by TobyMac. I said I would like 2 weeks ago
.
Yeah I heard about that! *is so excited* I have been obsessed with Greek and Egyptian mythology and history since I was like 8 . He picked the two best cultures for me

lol my fam too . I'm "supposed" to be doing 10th grade but I'm doing an Algebra 2 book and a Chemistry book which are more 11th grade subjects. But in my one other book (which covers a bazillion different subjects) I'm actually a little behind, though I'm still doing the 10th grade book. Btw, how could you not like history
!? It's been my favorite subject for aaaaages!

I'm probably behind on most of my school subjects
Well as I said i just started liking history a little more. I think a lot is because of the movie "Amazing Grace" it inspired me to read about William Wilberforce, and that got me to like history

oh, well ok then, yay for the movie!
Have you read the Percy Jackson books? Maybe that would get you even more in to history
I know this sounds really bad,but a lot of people have been bringing us really good food since they heard about Mama. She's doing excellent, and can see out of her left eye,but it still looks terrible. It's all purplely and red and swollen. I don't have a weak stomach, but just looking at that eye makes me feel light-headed.
@NN: Hi! How are you? BTW,what's a PPWDKWTM?
@Ali:I bought the piano version of "Forever and Always" on iTunes. It's soooo pretty.
I think they are. I think you'd like them. I'd suggest "My Immortal", "Going Under"(one I'm currently obsessed w/
),and "Everybody's Fool"(but I wouln't suggest the music vid. She pounds her fist on a mirror, it breaks, and her hand starts bleeding)."Bring Me to Life" is ok,but I think it's overused.
People think the same thing about me! I get so annoyed though 'cause they'll hear one song, tell me I'm a wonder child, and then when they find out I don't do well with certain keys and stuff,it's like I'm no big deal.
The Titan's Curse. It's one of my most favorite Apollo jokes after his haiku.
Sure, but I'll PM it to you. I don't wanna put it here 'cause Ditto Town can be read by non-NWebbers.
Speaking of which,I should probably go work on it some more...
Stuff happens. People get busy. That's just life. I don't blame you.
European mythology has become a favorite of mine lately, but I love any kind of myth or legend.
Hello all! *Waves*
EDIT: Hey there, Winter!
Hi! How are you?
Perhaps, but not by my unique methods.
True. Um, what do you do when someone has very little mental durability? You could do them serious damage! they might need years of therapy! You should be careful who chose to mess with test.
Wow, I think this may be one of my shortest posts, ever!
See y'all!

Lark: I actually haven't listened to it yet . Is it just piano or her singing with piano accompaniment instead of guitar?
Ok I'll have to listen to those . I'll tell you what I think about them later.
Agreed. It's annoying and embarassing . I always feel so bad when someone is like "oh can you play this then?" and I'm like "oh sorry, it doesn't have chords and I can't play sheet music on sight."
hmm I don't remember that joke...could you tell it to me?
Ok PM me then...I'll be waiting
Hehe yeah life has been busy, especially b/c of the power out. That was annoying
As do I. I don't know alot of European mythology though. I'll have to check a book out of the library on it
oh, well ok then, yay for the movie!
