Mortereve all!
*waves to Booky*
*waves to Dennie* How exciting about the job offer!
"We've played poker together, Ian, you know I can't bluff."
(I may have the wording slightly messed up on that one)
"Tell me what I need to know, Ben, or I'll shoot you friend." *Shaw points gun at Riley*
I don't think you did, but even if you did, I wouldn't worry about it. We all make a mistake now and then.
It's no more difficult for me. I had to do everything by hand on the old forum too, so it's no trouble.
Well, see, I would copy and paste people's quotes into my post, so they would stay their original color. But, because of the editor on the new forum they don't retain color. That's why my whole post is blue rather than each person I've quoted being in their respective color. Anyway, as long as it's no more difficult, sure! I love the red.
I know that it doesn't work as well, I just wanted to do it anyway. You used to think that I was evil for thinking the mimers weren't innocent, and now you agree with me.
Yeah, just in the tradition of the SMers! No, I never considered you evil. However, what I did claim was that there was nothing wrong with the mimers and I would be on their side until I saw them do something objectionable. Well, I saw just that and have therefore switched sides. Is that satisfactory?
No worries.
"First you smile, then you think?" Remember the Titans.
"In that order?" A recording we made a long time ago.
I don't think there was any danger of that.
Reckon not.
Would I recommend the movie, or the soundtrack? I've only seen the movie once, but from what I remember, it was good.
Either, I guess. But you said you don't remember the soundtrack well.
Alright.
Evil quotress? Now I'm evil again?
Hmm, I changed my mind. You didn't make another mistake in that instance.
Only if you quote movies I haven't seen and make me feel left out.
Oh, whew!
My school doesn't take too long, so it wasn't bad. I also only doubled up on math, which helped.
Ah, well that's good.
Wow, I'm in awe! It's just really inspiring to see someone be sooo humble! (No, it's not better... )
LOL. Ah well, I suppose I should just go sulk in the corner since no matter what I do I get ridiculed for it.
A few years ago, I shook President Bush's hand.
How did you have occasion to do that?
Aiden, yes! It's always nice to find others who enjoy the same somewhat rarer interests, like Get Smart. (Or, things that aren't so commonly liked).
Heh, don't worry about it. I don't exactly follow the rise and fall of DVD prices that intently either, it's just something I notice once in a while.
Yeah, exactly! So have you watched any more?
I'm surprised to hear you don't keep loads of charts on the prices of DVDs.

Good mortereve, all! How is everyone this great Tuesday evening?! I'm doing pretty well, although I didn't get the chance to make a video blog today, but that's OK. Well, I go to the Orthodontist for the first time tomorrow . And then after I get my braces I'll have nice teeth like this fellow: One week from today, TAN comes here! I'm so excited to see them!
CATCHUP TIME!
Ed P, I'm sorry you don't feel well!
I'm feeling a lot better today!
I have been pretty good, thanks! Been reading lots.
Good, FF, I've been reading a lot too! I'm currently on Jane Eyre. It's been great so far. It's tough when you first start, but once you get into it, it's great .
*is ignoring homework *
*Chuckles*
OH MY GOSH, Kat! That is absolutely incredible! Wow, you got there at 1:00pm? He's watched your YouTube videos?!?! That is CRAZY!
Sorry to hear you're feeling icky, Edmund P.
I'm feeling a lot better now though! Which is good since I have my Orthodontist appointment tomorrow, I don't want to be coughing in the poor fellow's face .
*hands Ed a cup of chamomile tea, which is supposed to be quite therapeutic, I've heard.
*Gladly receives the cup of chamomile tea* Thanks, Jo!
Awesome! 😉 J/K. But really, I'm fine! There's no reason not to be.
Good, QS! I really want to get the new Skillet CD!
Hehe! EP, those smilies are too funny!
Lol, yep they are! So, how have you been?
And no, I didn't even know that Edmund P and I were using the same avatar until I saw one of his posts here in the Square.
Haha, yes, we are using the same avvies!
*Waves to WinterStar*
*Waves to pogginfan
Actually, since the old forum is still up, you can still go over there and download some of them!
Eh, well, that's true, but I'm too lazy to do it right now (I'm not really lazy, I just don't want to) .
Great!
Hehe, yep! So, how was your day?
Bye, guys, have a good night! *Exits the Town Square*
Edmund P
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.
*wanders in slowly and sits down in a vacant chair*
Mortereve everyone! How are you all this rainy evening?? (well, for me it's rainy ) Man have I had a long day today. *sighs*
Ok, first....... I had toe surgery again, for the 5th time in the past two years. I've now had ingrown toenail surgery done 3 times on my left foot, and after today, 2 times on my right. I'm glad I had it done today, and that the podiatrist was able to squeeze a small appointment for me in, because dance starts up again for me in 2 weeks. I'm not happy I had it done again because i'm sick of my ingrown nails growing back! I've had so many nail surgerys now, that I know when it's growing back...
I wasn't sure it was growing back at first because it would hurt, not hurt, hurt, not hurt etc, etc. But, after yesterday when the pain got to all the time and my foot looked terrible, my mom got an appointment.
Well, the surgery is now done, hopefully for the last time, and i'll be running around in a black medical shoe with a numb foot for a while. I'm so used to it that when my mom thought I was going to be slow cause I can't feel my foot, when we went shopping at Kroger today I sped right past her into one of the aisles at the speed I usually go at.
We've been expecting rain for a loooong time here but it never has come. Today, while we were out shopping and to the podiatrist and stuff, the sky finally decided to open and pour on us. The roads flooded a bit and some really unexpected downpours and storms decided to come too. I actually fell asleep in the car when a bright flash of lighting and thunder that sounded like it was inches from the car woke me up just as we were turning into the store. I freaked out since i'm scared of storms.
Probably due to all the storms that decided to hit when we got to Kroger, the power went out in the store while we were in it. I had gone into the bathroom to wash my hands when the power went out. Someone had apparently spilled something sticky awhile back in the baking aisle that felt like soda, which I had gotten all over my hands when I touched a box, so I had gone to the bathroom to wash it off.
I had just gotten in there and headed to the sinks when the lights went out. It was pitch black but I decided to get out into the store where there was at least some light from the doors instead of stand in a dark bathroom which is super scary IMO. First I walked into the wall. Then, I headed in the direction I thought the door was in while feeling the walls. Just a few seconds before I found the door, and the emergency lights came on, my sister opened the door to the bathroom and almost straight into my face too. She then said, "How about we shed some light on this situation?"
My mom had seen the power flickering shortly after I headed into the bathroom and figured what was going to happen, so she sent my sis to go get me out cause she knows we both panic when alone in the dark, and because my sis is faster then my mom.
Other then those two, main, interesting things that happened today, not much else has happened. We finished planning out trip to NY to visit our grandparents next month. We're driving to NY and on the way stopping in Washington DC, and Maryland. I really wanted to go to Virginia since it's close by, to see our old house, my old dance teacher, the mall we used to go to, and so many other places I remember but my mom says we'll have to do that some other time because my dad (who's currently working in VA) can only take off 2 weeks to come up to MI to take care of the dogs while we're gone.
We'll be gone from October 11th to the 24th. Idk how much internet we'll have while we're gone. My dad is giving us his old laptop to use and says if we're lucky we might get some internet. Once we get to our grandparents house though, we'll have internet to use so I can pop in to say "Hi" while we're gone.
Sadly while we're in NY I'll miss two weeks of dance. Right after having 3 weeks to get back to it, we leave. I'll live though. I'll miss it yeah, but at least we won't be missing anything big, since the costume choosing for recitals starts in November, and the pointe test isn't till around December/January.
Well, I gtg now, i'm going to go watch Strange Days at Blake Holsey High with my mom and sis! Bye guys!!!!!
Proud ballet dancer!

Ahaha, I see.
*waves to Genny* That stinks that you keep having to have toe surgery. Interesting experience with the electricity going out! Anyway, hope you have a great vacation!

*waves to cep* Hi! How are you doing?
Reasonable and well, thank you, ~Lucy. Had to put my mum's cat to sleep today, though, as I am certain he had a stroke (blood clot in the brain). Remmie was 15 years old and never feeling well anymore. I will miss him.
That’s great that Teyla is adjusting well ... I recall you had cats, is she getting on with them?
She has taken to chasing the cats; this is not good. The cats run. That does not help. "Bad dog. No biscuit." However, she is very, very attentive to learning. It is a process.
Don't worry Cepp, it took me a day or so to get used to the new layout.
Thanks, PC. It is coming along. This forum software is a massive step-up from the old NarniaWeb forum. I still look in there.
Wow CEP you've posted more here in the past day than I've seen you post in the last four months.
Hey Cep!! Good to see you back in the Square!
Nice to be here, as always, thank you. Been slacking, I have.
*pops in*
Always nice to see you "pop in."
I’m afraid I might have inspired a little bit too much uniqueness even for Ditto Town, though.
Ditto-poo.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
I still look in there.
I try not to look there, because then I want the old forum back. If I refrain from looking, then this forum becomes more normal to me which is what I want.
Nice to be here, as always, thank you. Been slacking, I have. Edit: Hullo Aiden. I am around for the moment on my mortereve forum patrol. Likewise, always nice to see you here.
Ah, the mortereve forum patrol, eh? *makes sure to act his best when Cep is patrolling*

Ceppy! Good to see you again, my dear friend. Your dog is named Teyla...any chance she is named after the Stargate: Atlantis character by that name?
Lysander, whenever you happen to be on next...So I went to the library tonight, and got both the Forgotten Beasts of Eld and the Solitude something-or-other books. And also C.S. Lewis' "Boxen". Will let you know how they go!
If I refrain from looking, then this forum becomes more normal to me which is what I want ... what does CEP stand for, again?
Seriously, Aiden, that is not at all a bad idea.
My screen name breaks down like this: CEP Paul T. Taking it apart, CEP stands for Certified Emergency Paramedic. This comes from the state of Arizona's designation for Paramedics. Other states don't use the acronym; Arizona just had to be different. The T in the name is actually my middle initial for Timothy. Never thought I would become involved in the forum, otherwise I would have made some sort of cool Narnian name and not one based on my email address I could not forget.
Hullo dear friend JillPole. Not only is this Jack Russell Terror named after a character on Atlantis, her adopted big sister is Vala Mal Doran. It was Miss Rachel's idea. I am glad you found your way here after Ditto Town was picked up and moved.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
Hello all! *Waves*
Ahh, don't scare me like that! What if I slip up?
Don't worry...you will. (slip up, that is )
Ah, good! Just another character flaw, no problem. Mistakeless? Nope, that isn't a word, but I'm sure glad to hear it!
No problem? How lucky you are! I find all my character flaws to be problems."Mistakeless" is to a word! It's in the fifth volume of the third edition of Dictionary of the Stars!!!
I'm working on it.
Do you practice five hours every day, and twelve on weekends???
Sounds good.
Ok, good. What do you think of the new smilies?
WinterStar, perhaps you are the fortunate one. And don't feel immature, you're mature then some 16/17 year olds I know of.
Thanks, but, eh, you must know some pretty immature 16/17 year olds. (I don't mean to insult said 16/17 year olds or anything!)
*Waves to WinterStar*
Hey, Ed! *Waves back* How's life?
Well, I gtg now, i'm going to go watch Strange Days at Blake Holsey High with my mom and sis! Bye guys!!!!!
Wow, i didn't think there were any other NWebbers goofy enough to watch that! Seriously, though, it was kinda strange/funny that you should mention that 'cause my oldest sister and I recently started watching that for fun.
See y'all!

Mortereve all!!!
How goes it with y'all?
I'm doing pretty well. Procrastinating about doing school right now. NW is much more fun.
This morning was pretty exciting. My brother came across a snake at our neighbor's house (they are away at the moment). He ran into the house saying that it was three inches thick. We went back with the guns (Yes, there was more than one. Each of us had to have protection right?) to try to find it. We eventually found it. My brother's scared mind did exaggerate some. It was about two inches thick and over six feet long. Still a good size snake. We had fun killing it. I did take some pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them.
Double N, I'm not that young of an NWbber......ok I take that back I am pretty new.
"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had.”
Warning: for those with a strong fear of quotations, the following may be deadly.
this shall be my Senior year of highschool and then freedom!
Haha. So you think. I've found that generally when I think I'm getting freedom, all I end up with are more responsibilities ... and, in all likelihood, more personal drama resulting from said responsibilities.
I hope your classes go well tomorrow.
Thanks! They did go pretty well. We finished watching Citizen Kane in Masterpieces of Film, so I enjoyed that. Spanish, not so much—I love the subject, I love my professor, but one or two of my fellow students aggravate me to no end! There's one girl in there who I swear says every little thing that pops into her head, and asks the most brainless questions. "Ummm, is that due next class?" Yes, the homework sheets are always due next class. Haven't you noticed this yet? Get with the program. "Ummm, does that have to be in Spanish?" Ummm, yes. This is, after all, a junior-level class for Spanish majors and minors.
[/venting]
If they are who they say that are....
Oh my, you make this sound so threatening.
*waves to lys* Glad to see you in the new Square!
Ditto to yourself!
I can't remember, Booky, but did you ever read The Bell at Sealey Head?
Great news, DTR! Finding a job is so hard these days. Praise God that you were able to!
So I went to the library tonight, and got both the Forgotten Beasts of Eld and the Solitude something-or-other books. And also C.S. Lewis' "Boxen".
Yay, I love Forgotten Beasts; I think it's also wisewoman's favorite McKillip. And I remember enjoying Boxen when I read it years and years ago, although it's definitely the work of an author not yet at the height of his capacities. (Still, leagues beyond Eragon ) Have no idea what these Solitude books you speak of are.
We had a poster sale at school today, and I bought a big one that has the cover from To Kill a Mockingbird on it.
But the big news of the day is that I nearly destroyed my toenail this afternoon. I had opened the door to my dorm room and was trying to prop it open with my doorstop (I like to keep it open, so people can pop in at any time, y'know ), but it slipped, and the door hit the big toe on my right foot with full force. The toenail cracked down the middle—horizontally, not vertically—and blood started coming out. I ran for the shower, turned the water on, put my foot in, and frantically called my mother. It's okay now, and the toenail's still in one piece (kind of, and for the moment).
A dramatic ending to a dramatic two weeks!
~~~~~
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it."
~~~~~
YOW! I hope your toenail recovers lys. The book I meant was Solstice Wood, lol. Oh, and sorry for thinking you were younger than you are.
Ceppy, if it is possible, your wife just went up about 5 notches of awesome in my book. ...Why no Sam Carter though? She's my favourite! (But not terribly doggy, I suppose.)
*listens to Haven't Met You Yet by Michael Buble* It's a fantastic new song. 'Specially for us singles.
Ooh, Lys, I had nearly the same thing happen last year. It was my fourth toe, though (no idea why, but stuff always happens to that toe. It's not like it's especially long or anything). It cracked horizontally, too. The whole thing eventually fell off, but has since made a full recovery. Sorry that happened to you. I know how painful that is.
It figures it would be a toenail story that gets out of lurkerdom. I have another one, but it's even grosser than the one above. Maybe it's my exceptionally large feet that make my toes such a target.
Anyway, I know I promised weeks ago that I would stop by, and I haven't. I've been moving in and adjusting to college. I finally have my own computer now. Also, I'm not going to lie, the extreme length of the posts here is a little intimidating. I'm not quite as verbose as most of you.
Gwen! *tacklehugs* Eh, I can't do the quote thing either. I can usually manage a little substance without 'em. (Though perhaps it's just my definition of substance...) Let me guess...are you now a math major?
Good evening everyone. I hope that ya'll are doing well this fine mortereve.
Well, from what I've seen so far, I like the forum. It's comfortable, and looks very warm...not bad.
Well, my dad and I hunted four of the seven opening days of dove season. We killed..thirty-six total, dad got the majority of them. It was a great season for us, and now we can turn our attention to deer season. Archery starts in only three weeks.
Ti'ana, I'd like to see pictures if you don't mind.
School is going fairly well for me lately. I'm attempting to do a Patriotic Project, writing a paper on Richard Henry Lee.
Lys, I appreciate your warning, though I am not a member of such a group.
Ti'ana, you may be a relatively new NWebber, but you don't exactly ask it.
Thanks CEP for explaining what your username means...makes perfect sense now.
How are ya'll doing this evening?
They did drugs and they're all dead.
I went hunting and I'm still Ted-Ted Nugent
