I live in NH. So that's pretty much as high north in the US you can get, except for Maine and Alaska ;) .

Cool. I like swooped out tips :p

Well, I'm in southern Ontario (Canada ;) ) and I see from a map that the southern part of New Hampshire is pretty much on the same latitude. Cool! :) (Especially in winter. ;)))

Has anyone seen the movie Food, Inc. ?

*raises hand* I caught enough of it that I can say yes. And your family makes kombucha too? That's neat. I prefer milk, myself. ;))

The most exciting thing that's happening to me right now is that I'm picking out new socks. (Lime variation.) And I'm debating with myself whether or not I really want these cherry socks. I've wanted them for awhile, so I suppose that counts as waiting at least a week before buying?

Whoa, where is everybody? /:) Watching the Olympics, no doubt. ;)

Mel, I've been meaning to tell you, I love your sig and avvy set. Love, love! ♥ Any photos of winter really lift my spirits. (Is that just a random house?)

And your talent for picking out fantastic socks is only increasing. I especially like the cherry ones, 'though they cause my gastric juices to stir. :p Go for it. :D

Happy Friday to all!

Quick catch-up. I'm going to be super busy this weekend.

@Ali: I hope you enjoy them all! :) When you're done, I'm going to ask you who your favorite god and/or goddess is. :p Unless you already have a favorite? Oh, that's cool about the movie! :D I'm going to see it on the 27th. BTW, did you hear that Airheads have new "Percy Jackson" flavors? I can't remember what one's called, but "Riptide Rush" is the name of the other. ;)) =))

@Luce: I'm so glad that you liked the 2nd part of my story! :) Writing the little boy was so much fun. I'll try to put the next part up later today.

@Winter: Ah,ok. Are the same characters in it? :- I never understood shows like that with the same name, but a different city. ;))

One more thing: Has anyone read Futility by Morgan Robertson? I'm been wanting to check it out, but would like a second opinion. :)

(Is that just a random house?)

Nope. It's a particular house. ;) I was impressed by the length of the icicles when I took the picture (and the very blue sky), and a few days later they got longer, almost longer than the window, but then my brothers decided they wanted to knock the tips off, so they're short again now. And in town, there are snowbanks that are almost higher than the trees. ;)) We're having a great winter here. Nice and cold, and lots of snow. :D

Hello :)

Lark: My favorite for a long time was Artemis but I don't really have a favorite now...Airhead flavors? I've never personally been in to airheads but I may look in to them now ;) . I bought the second and fourth book yesterday at Barnes and Noble! My library is sending me the third and the fifth right now so I'm covered! :D :p . Can't wait to get the rest of the books, I'm loving this series so far :)

johobbit: yep I'm in the southern part :) . We have a decent amount of snow here. It's funny b/c I prefer that it melts and goes away but right now I'm happy that it's not melting b/c then everything we go into the road and turn from sparkling white to dirt grey . So um yeah, I have to admit I'm content with the snow right now :p

mel: yeah we make kombucha. We used to make keifer too but this past fall we found out I was allergic to milk and I was really the only one who drank it so we stopped :( . I miss it terribly, and regular milk too. I was the biggest consumer of dairy in our household before we found out (I would drink up to a gallon a week :p )

So I didn't get my hair cut yesterday but maybe today. We went to the salon and their was a half hour wait so my mom told me to wait until today :)

TTFN :D

Mortereve all!

NN95: I suppose you're right, I forgot it was a deliberate trap, and not just a slab of rock coincidentally balanced on more rock. I haven't seen the movie in a while :p

Exactly. So that makes it less cheesy, right? :P It's been a while since I've seen the movie, too. I really should watch it again.

I know, it's been pretty empty and silent around here. I kept on checking in yesterday and no one was one but me :( :p

Yes, it's a shame, huh?

NN/Aiden, we did see Avatar in 3D, 'though I'm not a big 3D person (would prefer to see it without those bulky glasses :p).

There's a lot of debate about 3D and whether or not it will be the next big thing. Some people love it, some people hate it (mostly because of the glasses and because it decreases the brightness/quality of the movie). I think 3D's pretty cool, but I'm not sure I'd want a 3D TV.

(Actually, I think the vanilla ones may be caramel: I do hope that's all right.)

They do look like caramel. That's perfectly fine! ;))

Hurrah for more snow, NN/Aiden. :D

Yes, I was afraid we were all done for this winter. And, it's snowball snow, too. :D

Heehee, I see we're still discussing the National Treasure movies off and on ... as well as NN's and Winter's modestly proudness. ;))

It's funny how topics start in the square and keep going for quite a long time! And, yes, we're still proudly but modestly discussing our modest proudness.

Ali, that's neat that you live in New England! :D Quite a shame you hate snow, though.

I'm off. Mort'reve all!

Missed Queen Susan's birthday...*feels bad* Do you accept late happy birthday's??

Of course. ;)) No problem, don't feel bad. :p And thank you! :D

Do you go bowling often?

No, not really. Maybe about 2 times a year, sometimes 3. ;)) My highest score was... 103 or 106 or something. ;)) *laugh*
Do you? Go bowling often?

The Dutch speedskater just won the 5000 meters and ran up into the stands to embrace his family. A nice moment...

Ah... This made me happy. 1. Because it was a nice moment. ;) 2. Because a Dutch guy won. ;)) Awesome.

A happy belated birthday to PELS, I believe!!! :D

The forum kicks me off every time I post, it seems.

:p Hm. I had that when I used "Safari" as a browser... Now I use Firefox a lot more, and it doesn't really happen. :)

...it was just in time for Valentine's Day as well!

;)) Aw. :p Haha. Right. ;) *refrains from using another smiley face*
Anyways. Um... *tries to think of something to say* Ooh, oooh! Tonight we're going to some type of square dance thing! Which should be fun.
I know, that was random. And you didn't ask, but I wanted to tell you something... ;)
I feel like I just--rambled--a lot.

and jabbering with my friend the whole time. (I'm only truly overjoyed over the last bit. ;) )

;))
Oooh, ooh!!! One more thing. ;)) *laugh* I had a dream about you and Johobbit the other day... You didn't really do a lot. I just took a picture of you two together, and that's all I remember. :p But--it was you guys. :p

*hasn't watched any Olympics yet either*

*Waves to WinterStar!* :D

It's rather unusual to think we hadn't even met them yet three years ago now.

I know, isn't it odd to think of the people you know and realize how it's been so short of a time, yet you're very close? :D It's kind of a nice feeling though. ;) Makes you that time isn't going quite as fast as you thought... maybe. :p
Anyway, note that I had a dream about you the other day... ;) ^^^

And your family makes kombucha too? That's neat. I prefer milk, myself.

Ooh, we make kombucha too! ;)) :p Yes, I prefer milk. Or water. Or almost anything. :p Though I can drink it down without too much of a face. :p

I got my hair cut today :D ! The lady cut it way shorter than I asked but I have enough to donate to Locks of Love so I don't mind that much :p . I think it's like the same length or shorter of Bryce's hair in my sig ;)

Libby: glad to see you. Too bad about your computer. At least it's working now, right?

Ben: You're back! We've missed you! :D

NN95: yeah I pretty much hate snow, but I love NW during the Summer and Fall, it's really pretty up here. We have a ton of mountains, most with snow still on them even in August or July :D . It looks beautiful from a distance ;)

*dances into the square in her gillies*

Just finished teaching a dance lesson! It went quite well, I think. My three little students have yet to get down some basic (but hard) dance technique, but they're progressing all the same. And I think that they're enjoying it. You can never be sure with little kids...

Anyway, other than dance, nothing much has happened today. It's been pretty dull, gray, boring, etc...

The brightest part was my hour coffee break!! :)

Okay...time for catch up! I really need to do this before the square runs away without me again... :P

You should watch it, it's great :D

*puts on her list of what to watch* I'm wondering if I should actually read the book before I watch it, because I hate "judging" movies based off of books when I haven't even read the book. :P

Yeah, that is sad about Matt T...but I still love the song!! :D Isn't he married now? I forget...I don't keep up with stuff like this very well. :P

@Dani: Well,my family aren't the ones teasing me,but it's still rather annoying. :p

Very understandable. I hope whoever's doing it stops soon..if they haven't already. :)

was actually originally going to WJ this Thursday, but one of our group leaders has parent-teacher conferences on Friday,so we decided to go to the one that's three hours away. 8-|

Well, at least you still get to go....though driving three hours is a bit of a bother. :P

That's cool about getting them to sign your Bible! The "new member" is Ruben Juarez and he's been playing bass in Scott's place. I'm not really sure if he's an official member though 'cause he's not on the new album's cover...

Yeah, my sister and I just noticed that about their new album cover a few days ago. 'Tis sad that Scott has "officially" left, though I'm curious as to why they have not announced it anywhere yet.

I've never heard of that book. Is it any good?

I've only seen the movie. The book is still on my list of things to read. :P But all my sisters have read it and they've all told me it's their favorite Charles Dickens' book. So, I'm guessing it's good and I'm looking forward to reading it! It's understandable that you've never heard of it. Nicholas Nickleby is one of Charles Dickens' less well known books, though it is a very good story.

Oh,isn't she? I adore her Merlin graphics! They're amazing! Thanks,btw. :)
Oh,goody! :D Do you watch Merlin on NBC? Me and my sis have been watching it via youtube. We're almost done with the first season.

Lol, we watch it via the same way you do!! :P The first season is really good! Though, I think the music and graphics get somewhat better in the second series...Who's your favorite character? (I know this is a tough question. :P )

I haven't watched a single Olympic event. I feel like such a traitor. :p

Aw, don't feel bad! I haven't watched a single Olympic event either...though I've heard a lot about them. :P But my family never watches TV, so that's no surprise...

Ruby, I hope we get some more warm weather soon too! Though I don't think spring will show its face around here until some more of our snow melts. *sigh*
Ah, yeah, that can be hard trying to teach little kids. Have you taken regular ballet before?

Aw, I hope the snow melts fast!! It's already all melted here and the weather's getting warmer, but it's still not consistently warm and sunny.. :( *sigh*

I've actually never taken any type of dance except Irish Step. And I've only taken Irish for five years... :P

Lol! Is she concerned about healthy food? Just never watch her cook. :P

I don't have to watch her cook to taste all the hot pepper she puts in our food!! I'm not a spicy-food person...unfortunately, my entire family is. *sigh*

Well, I have a way of stubbornly dropping arguments. But, since you shall never concede and it is pointless to argue longer, we shall call it a truce. My one consolation will be always knowing I was right. :P

I suppose a truce will have to do. Rats!! You just stole my only consolation!! ;) :P

In other words, it's pointless to argue about subjective truth, so we should argue objective truth? Maybe we should argue the definition of truth.

Hmm...that argument sounds like it could either very messy or very boring. It would get messy if we had completely different views of truth (which I doubt), but it would get boring if we already agreed on the subject... :P

Did you, by any chance, borrow some from the Square's chocolate tree? ;)) I'd love to see the pics, btw.

Lol, I think my brothers did for the strawberries...I posted the pictures on my blog http://vaporinwind.blogspot.com if you want to see them. :) PhotoBucket's been going really slow with me lately and not behaving properly, so I just loaded them onto my blog. :)

🙁 Awww, that's sad. Did she get a job in a different town/city? and God's peace to you both. Thankfully for computers, keeping in touch is at the touch of a finger now. Still, it's not the same as being together.

Well, she's actually going to live with our grandmother who is in her late 80s and currently lives by herself. Our grandmother's health has been getting worse, but she doesn't want to move and so my sister decided to go up and live with her for a few months until we decide what to do next. Either she'll (my grandmother) will move in with us or another relative...

My sister will be working at a hospital while she's up there and then she'll complete her nursing school in the fall...

*waves to Queen Susan* I'm glad you accept late birthday wishes!!!

*sees Libby on the square* My brothers were just telling me that Jon Cooper is featured on Toby Mac's new CD!!! I think that's so cool!! Aren't they touring together in the Awake/Tonight tour??

*waves to Ben* Good to see you on the square!!! How are you?

Well, I have to be off now...going to a friend's house in a few minutes to watch Iron Man! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful evening!

God bless!

Good mortereve to all the Dittopians and Squareonions! I hope that ya'll are doing well this evening.

I haven't been in the Square for....a month or more.

*waves to all the old members and welcomes all the new* Glad to see that the Square is getting on well.

I've started reading Jane Eyre in my Literature class. It is very enjoyable so far.

Ruby: I read the book before the movie, but you don't necessarily have to, it's extremely close to the book :) .

No he's sadly not married. He was supposed to be married last August but his fiance broke up with him late '07. She's the one he wrote that song about, that's why it's sad for me to listen to it :(( . His new album is mostly about that breakup :(
