*dashes into the Square* Hello all! I figured it was about time I popped in again. I really do have an excuse for yesterday, though. :p We had make-up piano lessons in the morning, had lunch with my best friend, then went shopping with said friend for the rest of the day. :D When we came back home in the evening, I had to finish my schoolwork. So, I didn't have time for a ketchup then. :-?? :p Anyway, here goes...

Lark, oh, that's good! I'm waiting eagerly for you to put up your story. :D

Jojo, yup, I'm completely better now. :) Feels so good not to be coughing every other second now. :p
And that pic of Ben with his autograph is so totally awesome! You're so lucky!!!

Winter, I know how that can be! I always have to beg my mom to let me stop by the library.

NN95, yes, the car chase was so cool. Oh, and that little part where Riley slipped into the car and said, "I'll drive!" and then there was no steering wheel on his side and Ben reminded him, "We're in England" was funny. So Riley-ish. ;))
So, do you like NT1 better?

Thanks, johobbit! :) Yup, all Gaither stuff. :D I have tons of GVB songs on my MP3 player.

Poggy, yup. Dictionaries are so long. #:-s
So how have you been doing lately? Busy with school? :)

PrinceCor, it's snowing? :D Great! :D How much do you have now?

FF, my cough is completely gone now, thankfully. Not a whole lot going on for me, though. Yesterday my best friend and I went shopping at the mall for a while. We had a good time together, getting to hang out. :)
And you? Anything exciting going on lately?

QS, ooh, going bowling is always fun to celebrate on birthdays! My sister did that last year for her b-day. :) Do you go bowling often?

Ruby, ahh that sounds nice. The sun is shining out here a bit, but it's pretty cloudy also.
How have you been lately? :)

Well, I guess that covers everything, even if I skimmed a bit. *exits singing "I Do Believe" by the GVB*

Just had to pop in real quick and wish everyone an early....

:x HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!! :x

My family celebrated it this morning. My brother's prepared Breakfast and forced us not to get up until 9:30 in order to do so. It's a family tradition of ours. Anyway, it was really lovely and I'll have to put some pictures up here later to show you the enormous amounts of candy they scattered around the table. There's no shortage of sugar at our house on Valentine's Day. :P

Well, I hope you all have a lovely day!! I'm looking forward to this one especially, seeing that the sun has decided to show its face today. :) I'll be popping back in here later for something like a catch-up post.

God bless!

Mortereve everyone! And a Happy early Valentine's day to all! Why is it I decide to go on a no-sugar diet right when this candy holiday comes around? Ah well. My mother is making a sugarless chocolate cake tomorrow for my birthday along with a delicious meal. Should be good. :)

NG, haha, yeah. That was funny. When I was watching it and saw the little dog get in front of the wheel, I nearly screamed! But I'm glad he turned around. #:-s

*waves to Lark* Haven't I seen you on Aslan'sCountry?

Jojo, I hope you're feeling fully, completely better! And that's so awesome you got an autographed picture of Ben Barnes! Though I must say after something I read about him, I wouldn't be too keen on getting his autograph. :((

WinterStar, your sister is a mod? Who's your sister? :D

*waves to Glenstorm the Great* Glad you're enjoying the Square!

NN95, I was going for the Saints because my dad and sister were and I like to root for teams the majority of people aren't going for. ;)) Everybody I knew was going for the Colts, so I decided to go for the Saints. (Maybe because of their name???)
Yep, if all my favorite scenes in both movies were put into one... it would be awesome. I like Riley's comedy better in the second one.

What an idiot I am! I just turned the fan on full and dust is blowing all 'round me! 8-|

Happy beeee-lated birthday to Ben! :D Hope it was grand!

F2, maybe I'm too realistic? I should lighten up a bit and watch it and try not to laugh, though there was some scenes that did make me freak. ;))

Anyone gonna watch the Olympics?

Unfortunately I have a family who's Olympic fanatics. Though I'm not too keen on them (the Olympics I mean).

No offense to any Canadians, but the opening ceremony was rather... boring. :p

I'm glad you liked NT, Cor! Which parts do you think was cheesiest? I could name a few. :p

RubyGamgee, I love your avvy and sig! That movie was sad, but very good. Poor Smike! :((

I hope you all have a splendid Valentine's day! :) And oh, my 2,222th post!

Thanks for the welcome Ruby! I like it here :p

You're welcome! I'm glad you like the Square. :)

I just read above that you're reading Oliver Twist! It's a great book isn't it? After you're done reading it, if you want to watch a movie version i suggest you get the old BBC version with Keira Knightley. It was the best version I saw. None of the movie versions have the entire story, at least none of the ones I've seen (I've seen most versions except a few animated versions, some that came out in the early 1940's, and one that came out recently in 2008 or something)... :)

I'll have to look into that. Where do you think I can find the BBC version of Oliver Twist? I always enjoy good movie adaptions of good books. :)

I see you've found my blog. :D I don't post on it often enough, but I try to keep up with it and I really enjoy reading friends' blogs. :)

Ruby, ahh that sounds nice. The sun is shining out here a bit, but it's pretty cloudy also.

Aw, I hope the weather improves soon. :( Are you still stuck beneath thirty inches of snow there? Or has it been melting?

How have you been lately? :)

I've been pretty good. I'm a little tired today from teaching Irish Dance yesterday...but other than that, I feel fine. I'm really happy today, because I caught up on studying on Rhetoric, which I really needed to. :) Now all I needed to do is finish studying Latin, because I've fallen way behind on vocabulary memorization...

RubyGamgee, I love your avvy and sig! That movie was sad, but very good. Poor Smike! :((

Thanks, PELS!! I think that Nicholas Nickleby is my favorite Charles Dickens story. It's just such a beautiful story of friendship. I always felt sorry for Smike too. :(

Hi Libby, a.k.a. Square Dasher! I haven't seen you on the square for a while, or maybe I've just been away for a long time...:P Anyway, how have you been lately?

Well, that's all for now!
Have a lovely day!

God bless!

*Enters listening to Ocean Eyes* I just bought it today on a really sudden whim (the fact that it was 60% off might have powered that whim :P) I like it so far. Fun, lighthearted songs are always nice. :) I also got the new Leeland album which I really like. :D

@gazer I missed that commercial! ;)) It tempts me to try an experiment. ;)

@Glenstorm Aww. :P How far had you read into FotR before you had to give it back to the library? I know a lot of people seem to loose interest at the 'Council of Elrond' chapter. That is a really long chapter. Have you read The Hobbit?

Very true! I can kind of understand them (whoever "they" are who do the sad deed) abridging something such as Les Miserables because there was so many "diversions", or, long long sections of things that, yes, do relate to the story in providing back ground, but the reader could do without, but with Monte Cristo, it was all pretty much straighforwards plot, which I really like. :)

Oh, have you read Les Mis? I've been thinking about reading it, but honestly I do find it a bit intimidating. :P Agreed about Monte Cristo having an exciting, straightforward plot. :)

That is true! And we can really really see God's hand throughout it, I believe. :) Even if we couldn't then, we can now looking back. :) And we can marvel at His goodness and faithfulness in being with us, and truly carrying us, even when we felt so alone. :)

Very well said! :) Your words encourage me very much. :)
And it's good to hear your life is going well! Yes, it is such a wonderful comfort to know that God is in control of every trial that we encounter, and that it is all working together for our good! :)

*waves to Poggy*

*returns the wave* It was good to see you in the chatroom the other night! I'm glad you guys did get some snow. :D

I've been great, poggin!! I'm a little (understatement :P ) tired today. Lol, I can definitely understand busyness...my life seems to be getting more and more busy as of late. :P
Yeah, the lightning was pretty freaky...almost gave me a heart attack. I'm just glad nothing other than phone and our internet connection got zapped... :P

I'm glad you're doing well! Heh, do you enjoy the busyness of life? :P It's good to hear the lightning didn't do any serious damage! :) I think I very well would have had a heart attack myself. ;)

Poggy, yup. Dictionaries are so long. #:-s
So how have you been doing lately? Busy with school? :)

Definitely. :P
Yep, I'm pretty busy with school and such. :) What about you? Has anything exciting happened lately? :)

I believe that's all! :) I'm off!

*takes a break from Olympics viewing to catch up a little*

The Dutch speedskater just won the 5000 meters and ran up into the stands to embrace his family. A nice moment...

@gazer I missed that commercial! ;)) It tempts me to try an experiment. ;)

An experiment? *is curious*

All the Super Bowl ads can be seen on Hulu here.

I really enjoyed reading the unabridged Les Mis, but can appreciate that his lengthy diversions into various topics sometimes act as a distraction to the main plot itself. I found myself skimming here and there.

RubyGamgee, it's pretty amazing that your house was struck by lightning! Glad the damage was limited. I guess that's one advantage of our long winters - lightning is rather rare for half the year. ;)) Still, a place I used to work at was hit by lightning once, and that was exciting.

It's fun to read about your characters' interactions, Princess Anna!

Is that pizza I hear calling! Good mortereve to all!

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Quick catch up,them I gotta scat.

@johobbit: I read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and The Silmarillion during the summer of '08 when I was 12. I'm trying to convince one of my sisters to start readin gsome of his books, but no luck yet. :(

@stargazer: I did read you review. :) 'Tis a shame what filmakers just "have" to put in movies these days. :(

@PrinceCor: You like Styx, too? Coolio! :D Besides them I like the Eagles, Cheap Trick, REO Speedwagon, The Police, Def Leppard, and Van Halen(but I've only heard "Jump"). My dad says I need to listen to Boston, but I keep forgetting to put them on my iPod. One of my friends went to a Styx concert a couple years ago and caught a drumstick! It's framed. ;))
Congrats about the snow, btw! :) How much did you get?

@Vern: Aw,that's sad. :( Well,I'm glad that I have. :) I'm doing well. I've just been staying way too busy. ;))

@PELS: Hi! Yes,you have. How are you? :)

Dani: Great to see you, too! How've ya been?

@Luce: I was actually hoping to put it up yesterday, but I've had...compilcations. :( I'm really sorry it's not up yet,but I promise some will be this week. :)

Just popping in here randomly before jogging off to bed. :) GtG, I have to tell you that my sister and I finally watched the musical version of Oliver ttonight. I enjoyed it very, very much! I can't say that it was very true to the book though. They took out two of the most important characters and messed up all the scenes, but the songs were hilarious!

I guess it's no surprise though, since I love pretty much any musical. (Except Funny Face)

That's it. Good night everyone! Sleep well!

And God bless!

Ruby: It is a good musical isn't it? I liked it alot, even though, as you said, it isn't exactly true to the book. My sister was actually in a preformance of it a few months ago- there are actually more songs in the actual musical than in the movie :p . I've been listening to her sing them for months, so I'm pretty sick of them ;) . Which two characters did they take out? I can't remember, it's been a while and I've seen so many versions :p .

I'm glad you're doing well! Heh, do you enjoy the busyness of life? :P

Thanks, poggin!! *hugs back* Do I enjoy the busyness of life? Lol, that's a good question. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. There's good busyness and then there's busyness that's crazy, disorderly, stressful, etc...

It's good to hear the lightning didn't do any serious damage! :) I think I very well would have had a heart attack myself. ;)

RubyGamgee, it's pretty amazing that your house was struck by lightning! Glad the damage was limited. I guess that's one advantage of our long winters - lightning is rather rare for half the year. ;)) Still, a place I used to work at was hit by lightning once, and that was exciting.

I'm glad that the lightning didn't do any further damage too! We don't have a lightning rod on the top of our house because we're on the bottom of a hill, really low to the ground and our house is really low too, so a rod isn't really necessary. And...this is like the first time ever we've been struck by lightning and it didn't really do any actual damage to the house (thank goodness!) #:-s

It was especially exciting, especially to open up the phone and see the smoking wires... :p

Ruby:I got it out of my library, on an inter-lilbrary loan. Netflix has it as well. It's 6 hours long btw ;;) . Yes I found your blog :D . I was the same way (reading other people's blogs but barely updating my own :p ) but now I do at least 3 posts a week, I'm getting better :p . :D

I keep telling my Mom we need to get a Netflix account! She's convinced that we don't watch enough movies. Whenever she says that I go /:) "Eh? We don't watch that many movies?" Lol.

Wow, you're better than I am at keeping up with your blog. I'm lucky if I get two posts written in a month... :P

Dani: Great to see you, too! How've ya been?

Hi Lark! I've been doing great! I'm a little tired today, but alive, well, and happy all the same! How about you? How's life these days?

Ruby: It is a good musical isn't it? I liked it alot, even though, as you said, it isn't exactly true to the book. They actually took out three, Rose, Henry, and Monk. Really important characters too! X( And in the movie they

Playing in a musical sounds fun! I've always wanted to do that, except there's no musical organization here of hardly any kind for home schooled high school students. It's really sad...I want to move to Michigan where my cousins live because there's an enormous musical production for high school students...my cousins play in a musical every year. They're very entertaining to watch, but I always thought it would be fun to participate in one. :)

My parents are considering sending me up to Michigan for a year just so I can get some extra music experience. :P

Well, that's all for now! I'll probably hang around on the Square for a little bit and then pop off to bed to take a quick nap before dinner...

God bless!
