Mortereve all!!
How is everyone this fine mortereve?
I'm doing pretty well. Math was kinda frustrating today, but I finally understood it.
I finished knitting Mom a washcloth today. It is really pretty. I should post pics. I told her for her birthday that I would make her some. She has been wanting me to make her some for a while.
Jo, the BC status can say whatever you want it to....within moderation.
Ara, I made the knitting and sewing thread.
Lyz!!!!!!!!!!! It is good to have you around.
"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had.”
I'm faring fairly well.
And yourself?
My roommate got back, dropped his stuff off, and is off again. Busy guy. I'm trying to figure out what to do with myself. I could...
Ugh! I miss the old italics and lists.
EDIT: *waves to gazer and Ti as well*
It's good to be around.
And Jo, if you read this, I believe you owe me an e-mail, old gehl. If not, I may send you another one.

@ Lys. Gahhh! Spelling errors strike again.... *sigh* Anyway, I'm doing very well, thank you. Will probably retire to bed shortly, school in the morning.

Ah, school ... 'tis a terrible-but-wonderful thing, no?
I should be doing a little of it myself, for I have a class after chapel tomorrow morning, and should study a bit before bed.

Yes and fortunately this shall be my Senior year of highschool and then freedom! Well, for a year and then college, but anyway.
Well, I better head for bed now. It has been great to converse with you Lys and I hope your classes go well tomorrow.
Goodnight to all and to all a good night! Or something like that....

Mortereve all!
Eg! Hi! *gives eustacegirl a hug*
Lol, yeah at least you got to see the concert this time,MA. I watched your video of "Love is Here" on the piano yesterday. It's beautiful! You are so talented to play songs like that by ear!
*waves to cep* Hi! How are you doing?
Pon, I like that smiley that's rolling its eyes. I do that a lot too.
Hey, CS I like your avatar! That's cool!
Yeah, lol it's kinda funny, especially when my sis and I are in the chatroom together and we say something, and then someone else says, 'Wait, do you guys know each other in real life?' or something like that, Bella. Lol.
That sounds pretty good, Bella. My grandma likes raspberry ice-cream.
Bella, we usually finish school near the end of May or the beginning of June, but we usually start early so we can take a day off now and then, or so we can go on vacation sometime during the school year. I guess my favorite subject would be history. I'm not a huge fan of any subject in school, really, but I guess history would be my favorite. What about you?
Lol, johobbit. Our bike-riding was lots of fun! We went down a bike trail four times. We were riding for about two and a half hours. My legs were aching so badly when we left.
Pretty good, FF! How about yourself? Yesterday we went bike-riding with some friends, which I really enjoyed. It was a perfect day to be outside yesterday.
Lol, I know what you mean, Ara. My friend and I have the same outfit, and sometimes when I'm hanging out with her we're end up wearing the same outfit, which is fun.
Thanks! We had lots of fun on our bike ride. Did you end up going on one?
Lady Arwen, how was your Labor Day?
Hey poggy! Bet that was a really fun Labor Day.
Hi JP! How are you?
Anyway. All day yesterday it was cloudy and we were afraid it would rain during our bike ride, but around 3:00 in the afternoon, when we met our friends for the bike ride, it started to clear up a little bit. We rode for two and a half hours and then went to a pizza place for dinner. We had such a good time together! But my legs were aching awfully. And, fortunately, it didn't start raining till late in the evening.

Mortereve all!
Double N, dinner was good, and yes I did make it. The fact that we were starving might have had something to do with it also though.
I figured you did. It's true that when you're hungry just about everything tastes good. However, I'm sure the dinner was great anyway.
I am going to kill this machine out of frustration. Usually I just put ctrl B and it makes stuff bold, but I can't do that any more on NW.
Yeah, that's because there's no WYSIWYG editor any more. That's one of the things I'm having trouble getting used to, too. Don't kill the machine, it's not its fault.
*waves to Ara* Good to see you around!
Edit: I wonder why my posts are being centered.
They don't look centered to me. And, I know there's a center code, so there must be a left justify and right justify code.
Weird, maybe I’m the only one that can see it. (Everyone’s alignment after mine is centred as well from what I can see.) Curiouser and curiouser.
That is quite odd!
*waves to LL*
*waves to Dani*
spies on this page NN (same font colour ) [...] And how are you doing, NN? Ahhh, it's good to see the good 'ol SquareOnions in their usual spot.
Yes, here I am in the Square like old times. I'm doing great, thanks! And now, not only am I a SquareOnion, but also a old-timer (NarniaWeb-wise) who remembers the "old days" of the Square on the old forum.
And lookee, I have a Drooling smiley
Aha, now we can all visualize you with your drool bucket.
[ ]
They had shine pads on and didn't jump around as much as i did.
Ah yes, of course. Well that's good.
*waves back to NN95*
*waves again* So, uh, how's it going?
Man, I wish I would have thought of that!
Actually, since the old forum is still up, you can still go over there and download some of them!
Yes, it will be hard to get used to. Although, I didn't start using the WYSIWYG (that is the correct name for it, right?) Post Editor until a few weeks ago. It made it so easy! I'm going to miss it
Yep, that's the right name. Actually, you used it every time you posted. But, I understand what you mean: you didn't start utilizing the features of it until recently. Yep, it's gonna be missed.
Well, I liked the 3-D-ness of the old forum emoticons, plus I was used to those.
Ditto that!
*waves to Poggin* Good to see you around! Glad to hear your summer went well.
NN, I'll be difficult and say that the SFX weren't low quality--they were just incongruous. And while I prefer Georgie Henley as Lucy, I wouldn't go so far as to say that the casting was baaaad.
Ah, I see. Well, it just seems like everyone's saying how bad the BBC movies were.
I think this evening we'll be watching the next Get Smart episode, so it should be good.
Few people enjoy old TV shows, so it's always neat to find people who do.
Aiden, I sure do! Here you go.
Alas, yes. Mainly the newest releases, though. About a month later they go down, and sometimes movies made a couple years previously are about $6.00 or so.
Cool, thank you! I really like that picture.
Oh, I see. I don't keep up with that sort of thing.
Hey Cep!! Good to see you back in the Square!
I think I'll be saying farewell to my post colour in catching up; oh well.
You could do what I do and put the tags at the beginning and the end of your post so the whole thing is colored! Of course, everyone you quote will be your color, too, but that's ok.
Ohh, may you tell how? I'm missing a couple, so I'd love if I could find a way to use some.
Well, there are two ways to do it. Since Tirian is keeping the old NarniaWeb up and running, right now you can just link to the smilies without downloading them. Here's how to do that:
And that becomes this: [/*379oxd1c][/list379oxd1c]
Once the old site is closed down for good and no longer accessible, you'll have to upload the smilies to a third-party site. So, to be prepared for that, here's how to download them:
And that becomes this: [/*379oxd1c][/list379oxd1c]
Hope that helps!
*sigh* If your mind is bent upon that, then I suppose I can't chage it. But, pray tell, what are these suspicious things that you have heard of?
Ditto that. Poodles are just far too small and aggressive for my liking. I prefer collies or golden retrievers. Corgies are also adorable... =]
Nope, I'm afraid you can't. Well, you tried to trap me in a box once, and I know for sure that you trapped Jojo in a box. I know you seem to have excuses for this, but they're not acceptable in the least! Besides, what could be wrong with watching sheep in France? Even if the mimers aren't totally evil, which I don't think they are, there's certainly nothing wrong with those people who would rather not be trapped.
Well, I'm glad I'm not alone in disliking poodles. May I see a picture of a Corgie (sp?). I'm not sure if I've ever seen one.
Would they be disappointed? Something tells me I need to go back and read that, then. I just couldn't make through the whole thing.
Ah, you are a better in endurance than I am. I could not go through the whole thing without my mind drifting, and I get paranoid that I don't get the whole story if I miss one part or read it absently, so... My favourite part was the first chapter all the way.
Yes, quite. Yeah, you should read it. I did have a hard time doing it, too, though, so don't feel bad! Yeah, I also can't stand missing something in a story, but my mind often wanders, too. It's funny how one can read something and yet be thinking about something completely different and not really comprehend one bit of what he read.
LOL. We trap people for a show. That's entirely different. We don't hurt them or anything. We're innocent, really!
*has been waiting to use that emoticon for a while now...*
Either way, I don't like the idea of trapping people. Aww, there's finally a puppy dog eyes emoticon! But, that trick doesn't work on me!!
LOL! If I'm an ex-evilmimer, does that mean I'm a good mimer now?
Nice try, but I'm afraid not.
All right, I'll take your word for it. They still sound like an experience in the jaws of torture, but still... I can't imagine how painful that'd be, though. O.o
They are an experience in the jaws of torture (whatever that is ) but in the end it's really not as bad as you thought it would be.
This one's taking much longer... Aw, ditto, I only imagine our old forum when I think of Narniaweb, but that will soon change!
I'm glad you did too, otherwise I'd decide I want to and have far too much catchup to do.
This one here's taking really long!
Yeah, hopefully that will change for me soon, too.
We start this Saturday...
That's an odd day to start school!
Glad to hear you had such an awesome time at the TAN concert, MissA! That's cool that they all remembered you!
Well, one good thing and one bad thing about the Preview feature: it used to be a separate window, so that, if I lost a post somehow, I still had that up. Now it's on the same page, so if I lose a post, I've really lost it.
Well, there are two things to prevent that. First, rather than previewing your post every now and then, there's a nifty Save option you can use!
Another way to prevent from losing posts is this nifty Firefox add-on Lazarus!
Does the "save" button help with this at all? I've not messed with that yet. Have you tried Firefox's Lazarus add-on? It saves anything written in a textbox and is pretty amazing.
Great minds think alike!
And I haven't tried the SAVE button yet. *is rather nervous to in case it makes the forum explode or something.
The Save button works fine! But I let Lazarus do all the work.
*waves to Queen Susan*
I mean Queen-y-poo. This could get interesting, you know. ceppy-poo; Fanny-poo; Liln-y-poo; hobbit-y-poo; Prince-y-poo or Cor-y-poo; Kingskid-y-poo.
This is... rather disturbing.
Awww, the superscript feature doesn't work here. NN will be disappointed, methinks, as am I.
Yes, I happened to discover this a couple days ago. It is quite disappointing.
*waves to Ella*
*notices Bella used the spoiler feature* Ooh, that's the first time I've seen that! I really like the new spoiler feature!
*waves to Bennett*

Haha, that's great!
Make sure you do. I'm very good at finding mistakes.
Ahh, don't scare me like that! What if I slip up?
I think, but I'm not sure, that by "failing" she means character flaw, not mistake. So, unless Djaq contradicts me, you're still mistakeless. (Is that a word???)
Ah, good! Just another character flaw, no problem. Mistakeless? Nope, that isn't a word, but I'm sure glad to hear it!
*waves to lys* Glad to see you in the new Square!
*waves to all of those whom he did not specifically address*
That was a TON of catch-up! Hence the length of this post.

Once a SquareOnion, always a SquareOnion.
Hey everybody. Haven't been here in awhile, even before we moved to the new forum.
I'm procrastinating right now. I've got a ton of homework I'd really rather not work on right now, even though some of it is due today.
*sees Lys mentioning him*
Od Magic was one of the first McKillip books I read. I don't think it's my favorite, but it was pretty good.
Greetings, one and all! I need to write a huge catchup very soon, and I promise that I will try to within the next few days. Meanwhile, I miss all you Square Onions!
As a few of you may know, I went job hunting last Friday, and the second place I went, I got an offer! My brother worked with the same people at a different store, so they were very excited when they learned I was his sister. So, I'll be working part time at a Hallmark store, starting this Thursday. I'm very excited, and looking forward to it greatly. Even if I won't have as much time for catchup anymore.
*waves and departs*
Good mortereve all!
The last couple days have been rather busy for me! Well, mainly just yesterday...We got up at about 6:30 (a.m ) and left to go to my sister's house at about 8:00 (it's a three hour drive, so that is usually kind of boring ). We spent the day there with most of my family! We left around 5 p.m, got home about 8:30 (we had to stop at the store)...then for some reason (I think it was my idea), we started watching the Anne of Green Gables movies, and ended up watching the whole first series! We were up till after 12... Yeah, I slept in late this morning.
/random
Anyway, did anyone else do anything interesting for Labor Day?
*tips hat to the lovely lady*
You sound very chivalrous. *curtsies in return*
Fortunately for both of us, I was not truly worried that I had upset you. I just couldn't help but use that smilie.
I knew that you weren't worried, and I wasn't offended, so we're both fine. That smiley is cute.
*laugh* Good! 😉 I may call you that more often! 😉
You may, if you wish. Although, I think I might be younger than you.
"He's bluffing."
"We've played poker together, Ian, you know I can't bluff."
(I may have the wording slightly messed up on that one)
If you still want to. On the old forum it was easier to do colors than on the new forum (that's why I'm making my whole post blue instead of coloring everyone's quotes accordingly), but if you still want to do the red, that's fine. If not, don't worry about it!
It's no more difficult for me. I had to do everything by hand on the old forum too, so it's no trouble.
Aww man! Whenever we agree the conversations get so boring. Anyway, I'll guess we'll pick this up again when the next podcast comes out.
Lol! You're right, they aren't as fun or interesting if we agree. I guess that's why we debate so much. Yes, I hope it will some out soon.
Of course. (White doesn't work on this new forum because the tan is darker. ) What's so amusing about it?
I know that it doesn't work as well, I just wanted to do it anyway. You used to think that I was evil for thinking the mimers weren't innocent, and now you agree with me.
Ah, thanks. Been a while since I've watched LWW.
"He don't know. He don't know!" Gomer Pyle, USMC.
No worries.
"First you smile, then you think?" Remember the Titans.
Well, I'm certainly glad I'm not alone on that point!
I don't think there was any danger of that.
Ah ok. Well, would you recommend it?
Would I recommend the movie, or the soundtrack? I've only seen the movie once, but from what I remember, it was good.
Ah the evil quotress.
By "failing", do you mean to imply that I've made yet another mistake?!! NOOOOOO! Ah, but remember! WinterStar said that I start off with a clean slate!
Evil quotress? Now I'm evil again?
Hmm, I changed my mind. You didn't make another mistake in that instance.
I wish it didn't take me long to double up on school. But school itself takes about 4 or 5 hours, I think (with no breaks) plus homework is another couple hours.
My school doesn't take too long, so it wasn't bad. I also only doubled up on math, which helped.
Ok, I feel so humble! Look, look! Look at my humbleness everyone! (Guess that's not much better )
Wow, I'm in awe! It's just really inspiring to see someone be sooo humble! (No, it's not better... )
Djax, that is awesome news about your sister!!!
Thanks! I'm really excited!
I had forgotten about that nickname. I like it.
Oh cool Djah! Tell her congrats for me! You probably said something in that chat today and I missed it.
Thank you! I'll tell her. I don't remember if I said anything when you were in there or not...
It's great to see you in the Square more!!
*sigh* Still using the angel emoticons I see?
What's wrong with that? I meant it as a joke, of course.
I love this little guy, Djaq:
I know! He's so cute!
*waves to Ruby/Dani* How are you?
Hello, Aunty Jo! How have you been lately? We haven't talked in awhile.
Djaq, that's fabulous!!! I bet you're thrilled! How exciting.
I am very excited!
Djaq, I also love rollercoasters. They're so much fun.
Ditto! I'll try just about anything when it comes to amusement park rides!
That's cool! I'm the youngest of five!
Great!
Hey, Poggin! It's great to see you around again!
It is! I found out about it when a friend and I were playing and singing about a week ago. We were going through all our favorites, and then she said she wanted to play one that she thought I would like…and, of course, I did, and then had to buy a copy.
Neat! I think that I've only heard the actual song once or so, but it is really pretty!
You play the piano, then, Djaq?
Yes, I do. Do you?
Oh, can I call you "Arwen"? It's different from "Lady A".
Djaq, are there other little neices and nephlings are expected in your family right now? I keep getting confused when I try to figure it out. But congratulations to your sister!
Thanks so much! OK, I'm kind of confused by the wording of that sentence, but I'll try to clear this up... My oldest sister has 5 kids and is pregnant with another one (she's due in early January), my second oldest sister has 3 boys and isn't expecting another, my third sister is pregnant with her first child right now. My other sister (flambeau) is neither married, nor pregnant.
Is that better?
Sounds neat! Will you keep us updated as to how it goes? It sounds like a great ministry opportunity.
Yes, I will let y'all know how it goes.
but a hearty hello to CSLN-the-dear, Winty, Lady L, Djaq, Flam, Mel,Cep and all you other dear Squareonions!
And I'll send you a hearty hello in return!
So basically... that was the best night of my life. I'll remember it FOREVER! And the next time I go to one of their concerts, maybe I'll be playing in it..
Wow! That's awesome!!
Just let me know the time, place, date and I will be there when you play with them!
Oh, and I hope you don't mind, but my mom requested to be your friend on Facebook. (if you're wondering who on earth it was )
(I'm still regretting washing my hands afterwards... just kidding )
Laugh out loud! A few years ago, I shook President Bush's hand.
That's fantabulous! Is this the same sister who had the miscarriage awhile back? If so, I pray that she will be able to keep it full term this time.
Well, two of my sisters have had miscarriages, but this is one of them (the other one is pregnant too!). Thank you very much!
I mean Queen-y-poo. This could get interesting, you know. ceppy-poo; Fanny-poo; Liln-y-poo; hobbit-y-poo; Prince-y-poo or Cor-y-poo; Kingskid-y-poo. Oh, the choices are limitless.
Whoa, that's weird.
Ok, good. Otherwise I will be very ( )
I'm working on it.
Let's just let it go. I'm not very good at debating and I'm really too tired to, at present...
Sounds good.
So, unless Djaq contradicts me, you're still mistakeless. (Is that a word???)
I don't think that I contradicted you, so he's fine.
Aha, now we can all visualize you with your drool bucket.
[_]
Lol! I love it!
Hey, Booky! Nice to see you again!!
That's great that you got a job, Dennie!! (Is that what you were going to tell me last night?) I hope it goes well!
I'm done!

Hello all! Mortereve! My day was pretty good- we baby sat again. Would you all please pray for one of our charges (a boy, about 3) and his single Mom? Things must be hard for them and all, and they're not saved, so it can make it slightly harder to take care of the boy and all, but we want to continue doing it for his Mom, but... thanks!
Cor: Neat! Do you have a favourite Holmes story/Jeremy Brett version that you've seen?
WinterStar, perhaps you are the fortunate one. And don't feel immature, you're mature then some 16/17 year olds I know of.
Welcome to the Town Square, tinasattler! And, on that note, it's great to see some returning Onions around!
Narnia Girl, I am glad that your bike ride went well, that's great! I'm pretty good, thanks! It was so warm out today, making it odd, because it's September. But then, I guess the summer weather wise has been a bit mixed up.
Aiden, yes! It's always nice to find others who enjoy the same somewhat rarer interests, like Get Smart. (Or, things that aren't so commonly liked).
Heh, don't worry about it. I don't exactly follow the rise and fall of DVD prices that intently either, it's just something I notice once in a while.
Dennie, that is absolutely fantastic about your new job!! All the best, and do tell us how it goes!
Djaq: It sounds like you've had a fun time!
Hmmm, well, I guess this is it. Cheers all!

* has a very short post for today, because, apparently, people write much more on holiday weekends than during the work week. *
For which cause, I am hereby relieved.
Lady Arwen, how was your Labor Day?
Um, quiet but busy. Spent nearly an hour driving around to find some place that wasn't fast-food that was open with some friends, because I didn't feel like cooking. Yours?
You play the piano, then, Djaq?
Yes, I do. Do you?
Oh, can I call you "Arwen"? It's different from "Lady A".
I used to play...I haven't had time to touch an instrument for several months, though. * sigh *
Arwen is fine. Thanks for asking.

I've started reading City of God, and am finding it quite interesting. I'm not deep enough in to have a congealing opinion of it, but I've always appreciated St. Augustine's work in the past, so I have high expectations.
