Hi hi
Lark, I'm already following your blog
I want to see those movies too but I rarely make it to the theatre so I'll probably wait til they're on DVD...
I'm exhausted right now b/c I stayed up till midnight excercising
Right now I'm listening to Fallen Man by Relient K...anyone else love that song?
I've been trying to convinve my parents to take me to a Relient K concert in April for my bday but it's not going so well
A new roof on the castle, PrinceCor? *hands the Prince some earplugs* As for Vern, he can just place his great clawed feet over his ears, 'cause I don't have earplugs his size, so sorry, dear dragon. To make up for this, I offer you a lovely array of vegetables:
'Tis great news about your grandma, PC! Give her the SquareOnions' best wishes. Mind you, that might cause her some concern, wondering what kind of folk you are hanging around with ... SquareOnions??
@ Flam. "How rude!" C3PO, Empire Strikes Back.
Isn't it rather "How wude"?
Yes, Edmund P, Striped Pajamas is heartwrenchingly sad. I bought the book a few weeks ago and am 'itching' to read it. (Need to finish a few other books first, though.)
I know...It's just a lot of people who used to post here all the time quit after becoming mods, elsewhere
Yes, 'tis true. I think part of it is that when they are new mods there is so much to learn that their time on the forum is spent doing just that. Eventually, though, they will return. The Square always calls us back ...
Yes, I've heard of (and read about) To Save a Life. Do let us know what you think, Anna.
Glenstorm! Welcome here. Looks like you're fitting in just fine. You had the privilege of singing in a choir for a Smitty concert? Wow, really cool! He's been a favourite artist of mine for nearly his whole career (over 20 years). I hope you can learn the drums a bit, Glenstorm. Our youngest son, having strong rhythm in his bones, plays them (he took lessons for 8 years) and loves the challenge. He's in a band at school and they perform a few times a year at school concerts.
I hope you can get to that RelientK concert. I've seen them a couple of times here in Canada, but, poor guys, they admit, themselves, that their shows in Canada have not usually been up to par, sadly.
*waves to Pebbles* Actually, my Facebook page hasn't changed yet. I wondering if they're waiting to do hobbits last.
NN/Aiden, instead of watching the Superbowl, I went to see Avatar, not being much of a football fan.
*agrees that Ian Howe/Sean Bean in the first National Treasure film is a much better villain than the guy in the second*
Oh, that's right, you were involved in the Lazarus conspiracy too, NN! Many thanks.
It's going fantastiwondersplendibulous.
That's almost as tricky as "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" or "suoicodilaipxecitsiligarfilacrepus", if you prefer saying it backwards.
NN, I bought my LotR Complete Recordings at our local music store as each released, but I rather think they're only available online now. Say, how is your reading of LotR coming along?
I love all the stories in the Square of people getting tons of snow that rarely get any. Global warming, where are you?
Exactly! And some of those areas which usually get a goodly amount each winter have hardly received any accumulation this season. *weeps* Last night and today, however, we're experiencing somewhat of our first real winter storm. It could be better (meaning, I wish we were getting more snow), but at least it's making everything beautifully white. ♥ Originally the meteorologists were saying we might get up to 10", but no go so far. Try half of that ... maybe.
~dot-jots @ Queen Susan:
a) Sounds like a fun thing to do on your birthday ... bowling!
b) So cool you're learning to play the violin!
c) Have fun at your Games night. I love those. We have an extended family one coming up the end of February, and we have Games Days with Valiant_Lucy's family a couple of times a year. Fun! What games are you playing?
(When you and Cor were talking about you being one of the Eldest, I had the funniest mental picture of you wearing a bright pink elven robe and eating lembas. I am easily amused.)
Bright pink? LOL Whoa, funky Elf.
Also, I'd rather be eating mushrooms.
Wow, Narnia Girl, you're certainly getting the snow! Stay safe! Also, I love Red Lobster. Mmm. I haven't been there for nearly a year, so it might just be time again soon ...
yes, the snow has been so beautiful! We have a large yard, and the snow looks so gorgeous and sparkly! And nearly every evening we have several of deer walking through our yard (we live near the woods). They look so funny wading through the snow - we love watching them.]
Now, that is an idyllic scene. You are blessed to have nature right at your doorstep.
So, Winter, are you starting piano lessons for the first time in your life? Or the first time in awhile?
We only added about 10 inches to our total.
Only! *wishes half of that over our way (adding to our small dump last night and today)*
Hello Lark! Are you a relative newcomer to the Town Square? (I forget if we've run across each other before.) Good to have you here.
You know, we should really have an initiation for new SquareOnions. *ponders* Vern could dunk them in the fountain, possibly? But then they could pick a favourite chocolate from the chocolate tree and sit by Vern's roaring fire roasting S'mores.
*gazes out the window* There is not too much prettier than falling snow against dark evergreen trees. *contented sigh*
Well, this is long enough now, isn't it? *clicks on "Submit"*

Mortereve all!
It's snowing after a couple weeks of a snow drought. I wonder how much we're supposed to get. I think about 8 inches.
*waves to Queen Susan* Happy belated birthday!
NN, I know how you feel about cookies. I'm not much of a cake person, myself.
![]()
Now, cake I love. But of course, not chocolate cake, which is 90% of cakes, but oh well.
NN95, yeah, I absolutely adored NT2! I was so glad to finally get to see it. I loooved the part when they were at Buckingham Palace looking at the Resolute Desk. And it was so awesome when Ben and Abigail started making a scene...hilarious.
![]()
I'm so glad. So, you'll be looking forward to a third, eh? Yeah, the Buckingham Palace scene is great. Wasn't the car chase awesome?
*Bangs head against desk* As a point of interest do people rotinuely tell you to go away and leave them alone?
(I can too!)
LOL, how did you know?
(No you can't! )
Which is why I'm boasting...Because I'm modest.
![]()
![]()
Oh yes, modesty is definitely something to be proud of!
I watched it with lots of friends, and thought it was a pretty entertaining, competitive game, at least until that 4th quarter interception iced it for the Saints. A few of the commercials were amusing.
Same here. It was quite a close game until the end. We were all rooting for the Saints, so a close, competitive game isn't exactly entertaining. Which commercials did you like?
I'm not just sad about that either, I wasn't aware the Superbowl was on Sunday
(I'm kinda a football fan but my parents don't like to watch it so they hide the date from me
) so obviously I missed it. And I wanted to watch it
![]()
![]()
Aww, that's a shame. You would have liked it, it was a great game. Do you just like to watch football, or is there a particular team you like?
@ NN. Yes, Alien is my top favorite at the moment. My feelings on the score are well summoned up in my review of it. *shameless self promotion here
* I have a feeling I'll need to change my top five after I buy the three soundtracks I'm eyeing.....
If I remember correctly I really liked TTT at the time, so I bought that one first. Then I got FotR and had to wait for RotK to be released.
RotK all the way for my favorite! It's the one score that benefits greatly from a complete release (the single disc album never did the score justice). Also, it has all the themes from the trilogy played at their best.
Amazon.com and screenarchives.com. I highly recommend the latter website for ANY soundtrack fan. They have a large collection of used and rare scores plus they have their own record label for releasing old, rare scores. They also have good prices and great customer service.
![]()
Ah, I see. Ooh, *goes to read review*. Honestly, from your description, it doesn't sound like the type of score I would like.
Oh, I see. How far apart were they released? So, the complete recordings have every second of music from the entire movies? Wow, how long are they? I would love to get those, but I certainly don't have the money to spend on them.
I use Amazon, too, and for MP3s, Walmart is usually cheapest. screenarchives.com, huh? Sounds great. I'll definitely have to check it out. Thanks!
NN/Aiden, instead of watching the Superbowl, I went to see Avatar, not being much of a football fan.
![]()
lol, well then, to be even, I won't be watching Avatar, and if I were to, I wouldn't be a fan of it. Fair enough?
*agrees that Ian Howe/Sean Bean in the first National Treasure film is a much better villain than the guy in the second*
Indeed! I love his accent, too.
Oh, that's right, you were involved in the Lazarus conspiracy too, NN! Many thanks.
![]()
Yes, I was. Lazarus is such a fantastic add-on there's no point in keeping it to oneself.
NN, I bought my LotR Complete Recordings at our local music store as each released, but I rather think they're only available online now. Say, how is your reading of LotR coming along?
Ah, I see. Have the prices dropped any now that the music is online?
Oy, you don't know what I'd give to get some quality reading time, but I haven't had a second with school and such. During the summer, I plan to finish reading the Curdie books, read through the CoN again (I desperately need to read Voyage again before the movie comes out) and, of course, finish LotR.
Exactly! And some of those areas which usually get a goodly amount each winter have hardly received any accumulation this season. *weeps* Last night and today, however, we're experiencing somewhat of our first real winter storm. ![]()
"Some of those areas" being your area? Have you not gotten a lot? That's a shame. We got our first snow early on in October. Well, February usually is the snowiest month, so I hope you get quite a bit more!
Well, I'm off. Mortereve all!
EDIT: Just used Lazarus to recover this. Should I donate money, it asks me? Naw!

NN95, I'm not a fan of football, but I did like that game. And I was going for the Saints. I'm glad they won.
Yes, indeed. I liked Ian much better than Mitch. Maybe because Mitch reminded me of another person in another movie I didn't like, actually it was a show. And another reason is because I liked Ian's accent. But yes, for awhile I was liking the second one better, but it didn't ended very good. Especially when:

*is in awe of NN and Bella's large conversation*
Happy belated birthday, Queen Susan! I hope it was splendid!
*waves to Mel* Hullo! How are you doing?
NG, I loved that scene! What made it funnier was Ben always seems so serious and seeing him burst out so randomly was so amusing! Which action scene was your favorite? I think I liked the scene when they're at the Library in the White House ( ) and when Ben is jumping into the back of the car... whoo!
But I also like when they're in the mountain trying to level out that large thing.
I liked Ian best. But mostly because of his accent.
Ooh Cor, did you like it?
Really, Aunty Jo? I wish I was that lucky. I'm rather confused with the whole new one. Though not too confused.
See you all later!

*peeks into the Square* Hello, all! *hums "The Old Landmark" by the GVB* Not much going on. Been real windy outside today, and a few sprinklings of snow - perhaps an inch.
Winter, haha, I know how that is. It's hard to squeeze going to the library in during your week.
Lark! Hi! *waves* Nice to see you pop in! Your blog is cool! I love the poem you posted on there.
Johobbit, I know, Red Lobster is really good! We don't go there super often either, so it was a fun treat. They have the most delicious grilled chicken and baked potatoes ever, lol...and I love their raspberry lemonade.
NN95, yes, I can't wait for NT3! Hopefully it'll be as good as the first two!
Oh yeah, the car chase was awesome! My little brother, he's 7 and he was watching the movie with me, and you should have seen his wide eyes during the car chase. He just drank it in.
Pebbles, I think my favorite action scene was the car chase. It was so funny seeing Ben roaring through the streets of London in that little car.
Yeah, I thought Ian's accent fit in pretty cool.
Guess I should head out, seeing as Mom will be calling me for dinner any minute now... *exits the Square singing "Love Can Turn the World" by the Gaither Vocal Band*

@johobbit: No,I don't believe we've officially met yet. A pleasure to be making your acquaintance! I take it by your username you're a fan of Tolkien? I love his books. I think I'm actually due for a re-read of The Silmarillion.
@Luce:Aw,thanks. I'm glad you like it! I saw what your reply on the DIOM forum,(I'd be on there more often, but I'm editing the first part of my story to post)and I'm touched you liked my "faeries" and "sprites."
I'm glad you like my blog, too! I'm really excited 'cause I just figured out how to put music on it.
Greetings, snarf! I thought I should come catch up to you all before you left me all in the dust! And besides, I'm still down and out, under the weather, pretty much pppphhhthh, so I have time.
Aww, NarniaGirl, I'm sorry to hear you've been sick.
How are you now? Totally over it, I hope!
Heeeeey, Rubes! *said in a guttural-type voice* 'Sup man? (even that doesn't work, LOL!) How fun that you'll be starting your own dance class! I would be a willing but very elephanty student, I'm 'fraid.
Yeah, when you learn to manage with a headache, then life is able to move on. Some days, though, Mom and I can't even function when our necks are so tight and such. I don't think that they have anything to do with my eyes; I once thought they might be from reading so much, so I had my eyes checked and wore glasses for a few years until my simple stigmatism problem fixed itself. How do you manage your headaches? Diet Coke (caffeine, you know!) and two aspirin usually do it for me.
Thanks, Jo! Yes ma'am, there's nothing like Burt 'n Jolly Marry and the Beach Boys to make one feel better! Yes, I do suffer chronic headaches. 'tis my cross to bear, ya know!
Thank you for the hugs!! *contrives plans with which to whittle more hugs from Aunty Jo...*
*gasp* Did The Prince actually say "WHATEV"?!? Well,

Yes, I did get your email; I'll respond asap. Or I'll have my secretary do so.
Boy, I bet these months of waiting for your ACT results will be the longest in your life!
PELS it is good to see you too! Aye, I agree with you about NT one being better than the second.
I also find the end of NT2 really sad though...
Hey Belle!
You fortunate individual! You lucky girl! What a privileged young lady you are! For you got to take acting-class! It sounds superb, and like something I would revel in! I'd probably guffaw too loudly at each accent...
I dunno wha' ye's sayin' on thisa braw day! Ken (to know) wou' be a blesse' thang, or more's the pity! A piano recital, eh? I hope you have a splendid time a'doin' it! What piece will you be playing? Yes, you have mine permission to ramble.
Aren't you the lucky one?
Oh Wintah, you mustn't talk about the chapters of "Inequalities and Biotechnology" as being "easy"... They sound perfectly dreadful!! But, I'm glad you're happy doing them.
My school would also be going well, if I hadn't been ill this week. I'm afraid I've taken a vacation from it; had no other choice. But, I look forward to returning to History mostly.

Welcome, Glenstorm the Great! Pleased to have you here! I'm known 'round these here parts as "Crabb, Caroline Crabb"...er, I mean, Jojo. You and I seem to like a lot of the same things! Cool stuff!
*grabs a dictionary...a pronunciation key...a thesaurus...any kind of book!! and tries to decipher Nutty's word* No luck, bro. You might just stick with "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" Which is pronounced, as we all know: ˌsuːpərˌkælɪˌfrædʒəlˌɪstɪkˌɛkspiːˌælɪˈdoʊʃəs/. (I just liked how that looked. HAHA!)
Yeah, I'd never trust you to really survive a real storm. Like we did.
OH, I can't help but oversee your conversation with Bella about the play you're in...I am SO jealous! Oh so jealous! I want to be in a play, particularly one from a favorite book of mine, SO badly!! You have all the luck. What part do you have?? I went searching for it in older posts and never found it...
I have a sound argument (it's also "fine-sounding", so watch out!!) to voice about chocolate. Let me ask a rhetorical question, where does chocolate come from? Cocoa beans, right. And what are those? They're beans, which are categorized as what? Vegetables, correct! So, how can MORE VEGETABLES be bad for you?!? You should eat chocolate for your health!!
Actually, having the majority side with me does make me right. Thanks for asking.
Queen Susan, Your day sounds very like mine! I'm glad you're doing well ~ That's the proper way to start a new year!
Thanks, Mel, for the well-wishes. I hope I feel better soon too.
Now for my BIGGEST news of the week!! You'll never guess what arrived in the mail yesterday, with my name on it...WELL I'LL JUST TELL YOU THEN!! It was an autographed picture of/from Ben Barnes!! Here it is:
Is that not just fantastic?! It couldn't have come at a better time either.

![]()
Oh, I know. My sister's a mod, remember?
So, Winter, are you starting piano lessons for the first time in your life? Or the first time in awhile?
First time in my life. I'm not sure why i'm bothering, though. It was established many years ago that I have no musical talent whatsoever and that I'd be better off not trying, but here I am! *shakes head* What am I thinking?
LOL, how did you know?
(No you can't!)
To be honest, it wasn't hard to guess..
(Yes I can!)
Oh yes, modesty is definitely something to be proud of!
Yes! So long as you're modestly proud, of course.
Winter, haha, I know how that is. It's hard to squeeze going to the library in during your week.
It's particularly difficult if you can't drive and therefore have to cordinate with other family members.
But they are easy! Inequalities is just the basic stuff you learned in fifth grade like 1/2x>x-2! And biotechnology is only stuff like cloning, DNA fingerprints, genetic engineering, and the like. But then again, I always was something of a weirdo. I'm sorry that you were sick! You like History the most? I'm not overly fond of it, I mean History in and of itself is quite fascinating, but most textbooks are just terribly boring.
See y'all!

). I didn't get to personally meet him but he talked to the choir as a whole and he was really nice
. I hope I learn drums too
I pick out different rythms for everything and have lately been listening to my CDs and picking out the drum part and using my Tae Kwan Do numchucks as drumsticks

*Cor and Vern enter the Square with the Prince rambling on about his latest two finds in James Horner scores*
Mortereve all! Well, today has gone most splendidly for me. Nothing really out-of-the-ordinary, but just a really good day. I'm glad to be back in the Square, though!
*with a contented sigh, the Prince takes a seat at the fountain as Vern lights the nightly fire before curling-up beside the fountain*
Time for catching-up:

@ Ali. I really like the name Ali, so if you don't mind, I'll call you that. *thinks of something else to say* Which "Pride & Prejudice" version do you like? I noticed you mentioned which versions of the other Jane Austen films you liked except for P&P.
@ Lark. I have a feeling we've met or at least posted in the same thread in another part of the forum, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to introduce myself again. Anyway..... greetings Miss Lark and welcome to the Square! My names PrinceCor or Cor, whichever you prefer to use. And this is Vern, my dragon.
*Good evening, Lark. I see you have a Blog? Cor has one of those as well, I believe...*
@ Jo. *graciously accepts the earplugs* I think they have finished with the roof as of this afternoon. They took away all the ladders, ect. so I hope their done.
*Ah! Thank you Miss Jo! Vern takes the veggie platter and begins eating the tomatoes.*
I'll be sure to tell her that "some of my friends online hope she continues to do well." I don't think it would be worth trying to explain what "SquareOnions" are....
It's all the same as long as the quote is correct.
@ NN. That's fine. It took me a year or so to warm-up to it and now I think it's great. It's definitely not a score for every tastes.
I'm sure we've discussed this before, but what kind of scores do you prefer?
I think they were released about a year apart.... *defers to Jo* Yes, plus music that was cut from the Theatrical and Extended editions (in their proper, original sequencing). Each disc is around 60 minutes (there are three discs for the first two and the four discs for RotK).
I usually use iTunes for MP3's, mostly pop music. I try to buy soundtracks as physical albums. Quite welcome!
@ Pels. I'm afraid I did not get around to watching it last night... I did watch the opening tonight after supper and hope to watch more later this evening.
@ Jojo. Yes, my dear girl, your ears did not play tricks with you. Actually, I picked up the word from two lovely young ladies from NE. Do you happen to know them, Miss Jojo?
Very well. I'm in no hurry.
Actually, no. It was more nerve racking waiting for the test day. Waiting for the results is nothing by comparison.
@ Winter. I attended a Christian pre-school, but after that I have been homeschooled for the rest of my life. Hmm, it's hard to tell....
*sarcasm*

I think that covers everything..... *looks over his post* Well, I better be off. Goodnight to all!

Well, I'm glad you watched it and enjoyed it! And, good for you—rooting for the Saints.

Definitely. I just didn't like the character of Mitch. You know, Ian was kind of a nicer bad guy. And, yeah, Ian's accent is so cool. So, maybe you like parts of 2 better than 1? Like the car chase in London?
Aw, but that part was really funny!
*is in awe of NN and Bella's large conversation*
I'm rather in awe of it myself.
NN95, yes, I can't wait for NT3!

Yep, definitely my favorite. Haha, that's neat.
Wait, there's going to be a National Treasure 3?!?! Tell me everything you know!!
We don't know anything! Just that there will likely be a NT3 in the coming years. IMDb probably says something.
Wow, Jojo, where did you find that pronunciation of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?

Actually, having the majority side with me does make me right. Thanks for asking.
Ah! but aren't vegetables, though known for their health, usually categorized as bad-tasting and as much disliked by children? Besides, everyone knows that the argument that chocolate is a vegetable is just loony.
Uh, actually not! Over the years the majority of people have thought something and then been proven wrong. One of the most famous examples is the belief of the entire world in Christopher Columbus's day that the world was flat. The majority believed that. Were they right because of that?
Now for my BIGGEST news of the week!! You'll never guess what arrived in the mail yesterday, with my name on it...WELL I'LL JUST TELL YOU THEN!!

There's just a style of soundtrack music that's not my taste, and it seems like Alien would fall into that category. Generally, I like stuff like grand, flowing, majestic type of music. For example, Dragonheart is one my favorites. I don't like eerie, dramatic stuff.
Gotcha. Oh, ok, I was wondering about the extended version. Wow, so three hours worth for the first, two hours worth for the second, and four hours for the last? That's a lot of music! Now wonder they cost so much!
Yeah, there's something neat about having the physical album of a soundtrack. I'm not a fan of iTunes.
That's it for me. Mortereve all!

*skips into the square contemplating what should do. Sing perhaps? But what...*
Oh,I know! "Renegade" by Styx! *does so* I love that song. Never mind that it's ages old.
I remember you posted once in the "Music" thread in Spare Oom,but I don't think we've officially met. I also commented on your post on NW's facebook group.
It's nice to meet you! And for the record,LB is favorite Narnia book, but HHB is a close second.
A dragon,eh? Interesting. How did come across him?
*Good evening, Lark. I see you have a Blog? Cor has one of those as well, I believe...*
Hello,Vern. I've never met a dragon before. How do you do?
I actually found Cor's last night. His review of the "Titanic" soundtrack was extremely helpful.
We don't know anything! Just that there will likely be a NT3 in the coming years. IMDb probably says something.
Ah,ok. Thanks.
I'm curious...how do you join a role-play here? They look like lots of fun!
'Ketching' up ... (Or should that be "ketchuping up"?

*scoots a beautiful, big vanilla cake over NN/Aiden's way* (No chocolate in sight, see? )
lol, well then, to be even, I won't be watching Avatar, and if I were to, I wouldn't be a fan of it. Fair enough?
Well, to be honest, I'm not really a rip-roaring fan of Avatar either.
Ah, I see. Have the prices dropped any now that the music is online?
Yes, I believe that LotR's Complete Recordings have dropped in price significantly over the months.
NN, we want to re-read Voyage before December's film as well. And are you enjoying the Curdie books? My favourite is the first, The Princess and the Goblin. So, did you finish reading The Fotr and are on Two Two Towers when you are able to begin again? You've read The Hobbit, yes? If not, try and read it before the first film releases in 2011.
"Some of those areas" being your area? Have you not gotten a lot? That's a shame. We got our first snow early on in October. Well, February usually is the snowiest month, so I hope you get quite a bit more!
Yes.
No.
We sometimes get some snow in October too (often around Thanksgiving weekend), but it doesn't usually stay.
January and February are our snowiest months ... but not this year.
I do too, thanks!
*waves cheerily to Pebbles and Narnia Girl* I enjoy those Gaither tunes you go in and out of the Square singing, NG.
Lark, yes, I've been a Tolkien fan for a few decades ... since I was 15—at that time The Hobbit and The LotR—though I tried The Silmarillion as a teen and found I wasn't quite ready for it then. I waited another ten years or so, tried reading it again, and the rest is history, as they say. It's great to hear of others who like The Sil. It just may be my favourite JRRT, 'though ... I so appreciate whatever he wrote. The same with Lewis, lest anyone think I'm a traitor.
Plus I'm fascinated by the entire Inklings group.
A related aside: what got me on to The LotR was a good family friend who had just read the book ... our families were on holidays in Vermont and David was raving on and on about this amazing tale featuring dwarves, elves, orcs, and ... hobbits. "Hobbits" I recall thinking? What on earth?! Sad to say, we kind of made affectionate fun of him liking such a story, but my brother (who is three years younger than I) thankfully took him seriously. After he read it, he strongly encouraged me to give it a try and whoa! Never have a felt worse making fun of something before. I've since apologized to David, and we've had good chuckles over it. And shortly after that my brother and I began a long-standing competition as to who had read LotR more. In fact, I must ask him what he's at now ...
Whoa, I see a photo of Ben Barnes addressed to ... me! Oh, wait, that's for my namesake.
Narnian at Heart, you need more hugs? Even after you received that autographed photo of Ben Barnes? HUG, HUG, and HUG. Will those help?
Winter, I think it's great you've begun piano lessons. I'm rootin' for you!
Wow, Glenstorm, how special was that (referring to the Smitty concert choir)?! Which tour was this? For his "A New Hallelujah" album? What part do you sing, alto or soprano? *is an alto, herself, even verging on tenor*
Thanks for passing on the message to your grandma, PrinceCor. And yes, I agree with the entirety of your paragraph re the Complete Recordings. Yep, the total number of CR hours is ten wonderfully filling up ten CDs. Glorious! (Heehee, my agreement with PC reminds me of William Pitt in Amazing Grace when he said to Wilberforce on the occasion of his marriage: "It's your wedding day: I agree with everything you say".
Not that it's your wedding day, or anything of the like, PC.
*giggles at the proud modesty banter between Winter and NN*
Well, our measly winter 'storm' is over and I shouldn't complain. Everything is white, but the sun is out today, so it's melting a tad.
We're heading up north this weekend where there's lots of snow and country and trees and a great night sky view, so I'll enjoy it while I can. Monday is a provincial holiday in Ontario.

Hello all! *Waves*
@ Winter. I attended a Christian pre-school, but after that I have been homeschooled for the rest of my life.
Hmm, it's hard to tell....
*sarcasm*
A Christian pre-school, eh? Did you like it? lol, I can be overly enthuasiastic at times.
I thought it must've been.
(Uh, no.)
Hard to guess? Or easy to guess?
(Uh, yes.)
Oh yes, you must be modestly proud. Definitely. Be modestly proud, and proud of it!
Quite!
Winter, I think it's great you've begun piano lessons. I'm rootin' for you!

Yes, we're quite proud, modestly, of course, of that banter!
See y'all!

Oh my, it seems I've fallen behind in the Square again. I'm afraid that means that this post could very well be the epitome of skimming. *sighs* I really don't like skimming, I really don't.
First, a happy birthday to Benny!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Oh Yes i like it! but I have an idea I would not like the book too much, though I don't really know... I'll have to ask my sister because she has read it...... Countless times!
Aww, you should give it a try. I think it's a wonderful book, though I'm sure there are some who think contrary to that.
I just find Austen's narration really, really amusing.
Poggy, I actually gave up reading half the dictionary a couple months ago...lol, it was just too much.
Well that's very understandable.
pogginfan!! I feel really bad now for not saying hi to you earlier...how are you doing?
Hi, Ruby! Oh, don't feel bad! I'm at fault, too. I've been doing pretty good! A bit busy, but good.
How have you been? Whoa, I can't believe your house got struck by lightning!
I almost don't want to think about what they would have cut out in the abridge-ment, as it was all so good....
Oh yes, I agree! Monte Cristo is really one of those books that I wonder how you can abridge it. There's nothing that needs to be cut out.
I'm so glad to hear that prayers are being answered, and God is showing your family what decision to make!
Mmmm, yes! Sometimes when I want to give up keeping a journal I think of how many times that I've looked back in my old journals and seen that I have grown and it's really encouraging
I'm the same way. I'm actually very unfaithful when it comes to writing in my journal, but some times I manage to scribble something in there, and it's so nice to read later on. I do know what you mean about reading something that you wrote when you were going through a trial...but sometimes even those encourage me, because while they're still sometimes painful, I realize that it's strengthened me in some way, and brought me closer to God.
How is life for you?
I hope all is well!
Life is going very well right now, thank you! How is yours?
You assume correctly.
I should read it again. Most of what I remember about it is the feeling of 'can't put the book down! Need to know what happens next!'
Haha! It was the same for me. In fact, I lost quite a few hours of sleep because of that book. I was really sad when I finished it, though, because when a book is that long, the characters start to become a friend somewhat.
Does anyone here play guitar? I recently bought one on line, and I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I play piano, but that's not very portable
, so I want to learn to play the guitar and have an instrument that I can take places.
Hello there! I don't believe we've met. *extends hand*
I do play a minor amount of guitar. I just wanted to say I think you made a good choice in an instrument, simply because guitar is easy to teach yourself.
Did you get it yet?
Goooood mortereve to all y'all!! (pardon the complete "Southernness" there)
I love it! I say that moderately often myself, and all the northerners I know look at me a bit weirdly when I do.
It's refreshing to see someone else doing it.
No worries if you've asked before. I don't mind repeating myself.
I don't mind repeat...oh, never mind!
It's from the BBC Robin Hood TV show."Djaq" is a member of Robin's gang. (She's a girl, btw.) It's pronounced like "Jack".
So, yeah, that's the story of my user name.
Oh good, I was pronouncing it right then.
A girl in Robin Hood's gang of merry men?
That sounds interesting. I should watch that series sometime, it looks pretty good. I assume you're a fan of it?
*Comes running into the square very excitedly* Hey Everyone! So I just found out that I will be making a trip to FL in about a week! I'm so excited! My Dad and I are going down there to do some work, and while we are down there I'm going to get my permit! YAY!!!!

That's neat! Are you going to be visiting any attractions while you're here? Like Disney, Universal, etc.?
Hi, Dennie!! I'm glad you decided to drop by. You've been missed.
Auntie Jo! It's wonderful to see you here as well! How have you been?
*thanks Poggin for agreeing with her against NN that chocolate is just too good to have room to be bad*

I thank you, too, for agreeing with me. By the way, I quite adore your new graphic set.
Did you see the new Emma?
Been doing pretty great! I've been sick a couple times, but I think I'm fully recovered at the moment, so that's good!
Aww! Being sick is no fun, especially when it's consecutive. I hope you're feeling better!
Hello there, Glenstorm! It's good to see you in here. I hope you stick around! By the way, did you ever manage to get through Fellowship of the Ring?
And I believe that's all. Have a good mortereve, all!
