Hi, Lydia Jane! Welcome back! And thank you so much for telling me that there are two more Chrestomanci books!
I like Howl's Moving Castle too.
*is getting stage-fright from anticipating being mentioned in the next Ruby-Winter post*
Cor! Last night, a friend and I watched The Wind and the Lion, and your recommendation was what tipped the vote in its favour. We really enjoyed ourselves, so thank you! *loved the horse stunts*
Djaq, I suspect it's the fact that it's an Arwen avatar (with dark colouring) that is mixing us up. I don't usually use a LotR avvy, and I think the last one I used was a Legolas one.
I've been good. I spent the day with my friend working on bridesmaid dresses. Fun stuff!
Bella, you broke the flute? Oh dear. I was under the impression that flutes were sturdy instruments, not like a violin or lute...
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
*Waves at Bella*
Congrats on becoming a fanatic, Ben!

Thanks Bella!
So how has life been treating you lately Bella? Been having a blast lately? Or has it just been boring?
*Waves to Mel*
Well Till I return
returns I think that I need not make such small posts on here Maybe after I post it will look like more substance

Holy cow it's been a long time... Y'all, I'm sorry, but I haven't got time to do a 10 page ketchup... I've been real busy, and since my laptop went kuhplooy, my computer time has been very tiny.
I'm starting up violin and viola too. I haven't played violin for about three years, so it will be interesting to see how it goes...
Really?? I just started learning the violin, but through the internet. My Mom's looking into getting me a teacher, and I'm way pumped about it! This will be the first time ever I've had a real life teacher!
So, yesterday, I made myself comfortable, placed my laptop atop the table, and typed up some exciting bit of a catchup post, but then as verily soon as I hit "Submit", I was directed to a page telling me I must indeed log in to post. *sniffsniff's*
You know about Lazarus and don't have it??? Why?! *is stunned*
Uh, I've gotta page on my new website to write. Bye!
*touches spurs lightly to the horse's side. He shifts his weight and pretends not to notice the cue.* Ahem, y'all, meet Gold Member, otherwise known as Gold, The Gold, or Goldie, or Goldie-locks, due to his golden mane. He is one of the gentlest, patient and careful-of-stepping-on-things-smaller-than-himself horse's I have ever met. He is also one of the laziest. *mutters* Come on Goldie, you're embarrassing... *presses spurs into Goldie's side. Sighing as though he carries the load of Atlas, the horse slowly moves into a lumbering walk. When touched with the spurs again, he moves into a trot, then at another cue, into a lope. Finally he vanishes from sight.*

Mortereve!
I hope everyone is doing splendidly well!
Now then, time for some ketchup.
I,m homeschooled and we are very lax about it So I really am not doing much But still I'm learning
Oh I love reading also! What are your favorite books?
Oh cool! i don't think I have heard of that kind, but that's probably because I'm not that into Guitars
Cool! How do you like homeschooling? I've always been fascinated with it, and slightly envious of kids who got to be homeschooled. I always wished I was homeschooled.
Well, I love Howl's Moving Castle (and pretty much anything else that I've read by Diana Wynne Jones), all of Tim Downs' novels (he is really an excellent author- he writes mysteries, and they are nearly impossible to put down! I highly recommend his books!), Jane Austen's novels, Lewis' CoN (of course!) and Space Trilogy, Beauty, The Hero and the Crown, and The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, and Calvin and Hobbes ....aaaaand, well, I love to read, so this list could go on and on and on...
What do you like to read?
Well, I don't know that much about guitars either, but from the vast majority of the reviews I found it sounds like a good guitar.
I have never taken piano lessons but sometime I hope to I'm really not that good at it but I hope to get good over time
Well I have been playing around on it for several years but just this year- or I mean last year-I started playing more and then I just decided that that would be the instrument I would learn....... Are you good at playing the Piano?
I hope you can start taking lessons soon! They really help. Good luck and just enjoy playing. It's a lot of fun! Especially when you master something!
I wish I was better. I could be better, if I practiced more. So, I've no excuse for not being better.
Lydia, how have you been doing lately? Anything exciting going on for you?
I've been doing quite well, Lucy! How are you?
Nothing too terribly exciting...my guitar hasn't come yet, so I'm still anxiously awaiting its arrival.
*waves excitedly to Cor and Vern*
How have you two been?! It's nice to be around again!
Thanks! I can't wait for my guitar to come! Maybe it will be here tomorrow...
Main street was a river... Here's a story: A car got washed down main street and the owner went running after it like crazy, he caught it and and pushed it up onto a raised up gas station parking lot... After the fact its pretty funny but it wasn't right then, our house is on a hill so we got luckey and were not flooded...
Wow! Sounds pretty scary, narnianerd! He chased his car?!
I wholeheartedly agree with you about the chocolate. Mmmmm!
*waves to Djaq* I'm not sure if we've met before either, but in any case, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance (again?) as well.
*waves to Bella* ¡Hola Bella! Estoy bien. ¿Y tú? Necesito practicar mucho tambiėn porque tengo que tomar clases de español en la Universidad.
Hehe, I couldn't resist when I saw Spanish. I don't know if I got everything quite right, but I did try! I'm actually looking forward to taking Spanish again.
*goes over to the tall, chocolate tree and picks it's ripest. While eating the delicious piece, she recalls how grateful she is that the blessed tree does not ever cease its produce*
What's this?! We have a chocolate tree?! This is very good to know...
*makes a visit to the aforementioned chocolate tree*
Hi, Lydia Jane! Welcome back! And thank you so much for telling me that there are two more Chrestomanci books!
Hi Mel! Thanks! And you're welcome! Hehe, I was excited when I learned that there is another book after The Dark Lord of Derkholm! *still has yet to get her hands on it* I love finding out there are more books to a series I like than I thought. It's like finding a treasure!
Whew! I hope I haven't missed anyone!
Even though I'm a boy I like the Anne of Green Gables books
.................................
And more that I can't think of right now
Yeah it would be really cool if I could get lessons!
I really enjoy just playing Spontaneously! That's what I'm best at.....
Well nice talking to you again! I had better be getting a long I might be back in later or might not.................

*So, you bought "Braveheart" but found out it was in bad shap and then returned it and got "Troy"?*
MmmHmm, kind of funny since I went into the store three times in a 20 minute time span.....
Mortereve all! Well, it looks like I need to make another catch-up post. A bunch of people have posted since lunch time!

@ Djaq. Thank you, you're terribly kind.
Great! Glad to hear you had a good time! How is your sister doing, BTW?
Welcome! Umm, if I remember correctly I caught the ending of an episode, so I have no idea what season it was from or what I thought about it. I just had enough time to go "Hey! That's the Robin Hood TV show that they talk about in the Square!"
I really should try to find an episode or two to watch....
Ick, sorry to hear your trying not to come down with something. Hope you get to feeling your normal self very soon! *sends a

*waves to Ben*
@ Ruby. The wind has finally calmed down, though we're suppose to get rain this weekend. *sigh* it's always something....
I've been doing very well, thank you! Just got a new CD this evening at a great price, which I'm pretty excited about. Yes, I am alive as far as I know. No one has told any different anyway.
@ Lucy. Aye, that it is! We mostly visited and watched movies.
@ Bella.

Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm not too sure if I would go tubing then.....
Anyway, I hope you have a good time on your retreat!
@ Mel. Great! Glad you liked it so much!
@ Lydia. We've been very well, thanks. Ahh, the waiting game.... I've had to play that when I've ordered CD's off of the internet. No fun.
Granted, when it finally arrives it makes it feel more special somehow.
------------------------------
Well, I think that gets everything for tonight. I just realized something, tomorrow will be my 4 year anniversary on NW.... It doesn't feel like it's been that long! Wow....
Anyway, goodnight to all!

Perhaps not, but you implied it.
(Oh, I apologize, but as I recall, I was still playing off your predictability, which was all a big joke. )
lol, fair point.
Wow, you really did utterly destroy that. It looks kinda like scrap metal or something now...
You're right, it looks like something out of a junk yard.
Aw, I'm sorry. Stomach aches are no fun. My dad gets them a lot, but I think that's just old age.
Aw, but, see? I get them a lot, so I'm used to them, just like you get headaches a lot.
That's too bad about your dad, though.
I certainly haven't seen one before!
![]()
*chuckles* Do you hate chocolate just because you like being passionate?
![]()
Man! You just trampled all over my argument...
CHOCOLATE IS HEALTHY!! (scientifically proven
)
I thought not. No, I don't hate chocolate just because I like being passionate. I do like being passionate, though, but only about things about which I am passionate. (That sounds awful, grammatically.)
Muahahahaha. (
)
Just because something is healthy is a reason to like it? Often healthy things are the worst-tasting things, like certain types of vegetables. You're only digging yourself deeper.
The book wasn't terribly amazing, very well written, a bit long (could have ended much sooner), but it was very fun to read.
There are definitely better books out there (there always are).
Speaking of books, I'm trying to compose a list of books that I need to read this year. Any suggestions?
I see. So how well done was the movie adaption? Do you think the rest of the books would work well on screen?
I think a lot of books could have ended sooner.
Umm, nothing comes to mind.
@ NN. I.... really don't know.
Seemed like the thing to say at the moment.
Thanks! There are three albums that I've been wanting for awhile that are at the top of my "to get" list. After I get those, I'm hoping to buy a few more Goldsmith albums.
*chuckles at the raging back-and-forth about chocolate*
Well, you know where I stand on the issue. "NN, let the girls win."
![]()
![]()
lol, I see.
Sounds like a good idea. What are those albums at the top of your to-get list?
Everyone's against me. lol, no one will ever convince me that chocolate is even remotely good.
Yes, I was out of town all of last week helping out at my sister's.
(I watched National Treasure with my nephews one of the days that I was there, btw.
)
Ah, I see. Aw, that's neat.
I don't quite remember.
Well, too many people did it to you, I guess.
Actually...yes.I think that I was just goofing off with the other mods then. (and because I was doing that, I couldn't concentrate on responding to you)
Okay, so now you know.
Will you forgive me?
![]()
![]()
Yes, all I know is that it was too many.
Aha, I knew it! Of course, you're forgiven, mods get special privileges.
That's totally fine with me.
![]()
Thanks... how about the scene where Ben and his dad are talking at the beginning of NT2. You know, where Riley is trying to crack the playfair cipher?
"Speak for yourself." That line is in many things, but the one I'm quoting is from the Robin Hood TV show.
Haha, fun! How is the play coming? Are you enjoying it?![]()
"Fine!" NT2. Lol, I love general quotes that could be from anything.
The play is coming along very well. Yes, I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
They are indeed.
![]()
Well, I don't really remember. It wasn't a cantata, it was more of just a program.
I remember that the part I had was supposed to be a boy, but there were more girls in the group (it was the junior choir), so the part was converted for me.
How neat! That sounds really fun.![]()
Indeed, they are.
Oh, I see. I know what you mean.
Yeah, I love it.
Haha! *chuckles* We're not really fighting over it. Call it a friendly (silly) debate.

No! Chocolate is incredibly awful!
as verily soon as I hit "Submit", I was directed to a page telling me I must indeed log in to post.
That's happened to me the last couple of days. 'Course, no problem for me! I just ask helpful Lazarus to give me my post back, and it does! In fact, I just did that! Though, you're an Internet Explorer fan and you wouldn't be able to recover your posts...
Aiden: I do hope I will like it so!
Nope, I meant NT1; I haven't seen the first recently, so I don't remember it enough to compare it with the second.
Ditto about NatM2. We're about to (or have already, not sure) borrowed the first, so I'm looking foward to watching it.
![]()
Ok, so you just recently saw NT2, but you've already seen NT1, but it was a long time ago so you're going to watch it again. Do I have it right now?
Oh, good! It's really good and lot funnier than the second.
Mhm, I understand. It sort of takes an extra push when one is tired to put up the decorations...
That's true and does happy quite often! Except when it's things like coming back from camp, and there's not much that will suffice...or it seems quite so dismal upon returning.
Thanks, most of them did! (Apart from Math, where I wrote the wrong kind of linear equation when I drew out the right one. *sigh* I got 99%, so it won't ruin any record, thankfully, lol.) Yes, this week has indeed been fun with only language and a few other things.
Yep, the elevator's for convenience for VBS and the like since they recently built a floor especially for kids, and all so it's easier to move things from the kitchen to classes and stuff... I prefer the stairs, because I can put that as P.E. "climbed 3 flights of stairs"jk.
(Yes, yes...I meant, "Estoy bien"*always gets the two mixed up*)
All right, here goes: Si, pero no habla mucho español. Necesito ayuda.
How'd I do? ^.^
Well, I don't know why you would sing...it was the first thing that came to mind, randomly.
I hope that I can...one day, one day! =]
I bet it is.Oh,
SpoilerJohn Brooke passes away at an early age in the future. (Due to sickness, I believe. I'm can't remember exactly.) I think it's in Little Men when it happens, which is just the next book...so it was really sadly written in the book.
That's an interesting way to end the play!I think I prefer that happy ending compared to the one in the book, since Mr. March came home and there's a happy atmosphere and
The most recent version of the movie doesn't quite end exactly where the book does, the book ends at a little gathering they all have.SpoilerBeth is alive.
Ahaha, not sure.![]()
Indeed it does. And it's not just being tired, but not even having the time to do it!
I can understand that. It does take a while, after doing something really fun, to all of a sudden get used to not doing it anymore. But after a while you get used to it, and then you hardly miss what you were doing.
Glad to hear they mostly went well. I had a bunch of tests already this week, too. I hope I don't have any more. I don't think so. Aw, so you almost got 100%, except for that one thing that knocked you down to 99%? That's happened to me a couple times lately.
You must have a big church. We wouldn't even have room for an elevator.
Yes, they are easy to get mixed up. I would excuse you, except you said that a native said "Soy bien" which I know is not true.
Ok, I said, "Can you speak a lot of Spanish, now?" And you said, "Yes, but he doesn't speak much Spanish. I need help." Close enough.
lol, ok, then.
Have you ever been in a play.
Oh, he does, huh? Too bad that doesn't happen in the play we're doing. I've never gotten to die in a play before. It's funny, a friend of mine got to die in each of the last two plays we did.
Yes, it's a great ending. Ooh, that's right,
Let's see, I saw the movie with Winona Ryder (I believe). Is that the most recent?
It's quite impressive, really.

This reminds me, yesterday my mom was helping a friend with some computer troubles, and the friend brought up something about Firefox and I was able to say some things in it's praise and recommend it. Do I earn a badge?
