*dances into the square humming one of Clementi's Sonatinas*
What a beautiful day! I got to bed early last night, got to sleep in this morning and awoke to the sunshine coming through my window! What is it about sunshine that just gives you a whole lot of happy energy? I'm not sure...but I know that just the sight of it makes me appreciate life twice as much.
I've had a good day. I got to play the most beautiful piano at the church where I go to take math class...and my brother (Bravo), gave me one of his chocolate bars (whom he shares with no one). So, my day has had several highlights...
Last night was quite exciting as well. We received a huge thunderstorm and our internet connection and our phone line both got zapped. Our house got struck by lightning! And I saw it! It nearly gave me heart attack! But we've got everything fixed today (finally). so, yeah...things have been interesting around here as of late...
And now to stop rambling and start some catch-up...
Lol I thought you said: Why did I chose the Sabbath to do my Research paper lol I was going to be like The Sabbath? its Tuesday
Oh that reminds me that i need to take the trash out (It comes tomorrow morning)
Haha. It would be just like me to lose track of the day. You know my brother, (whom you know as Bravo) went until 1:00 PM today thinking that it was the 19th of January. He seriously thought it was the nineteenth. I thought it was the funniest thing ever when I told him it was the twenty-first. He just stared at me and said 'what?'
Sorry that I had to hog it
..............
Just wanted you to know that you've broken my heart forever.....
Just kidding.
I'm actually a lot happier today because the sun came out! And the weather was beautiful! And spring is on its way!
@ Ruby. I've been doing very well, thank you. Vern and I have been keeping busy doing our various jobs and such around the castle as well as enjoying our off time.
Glad to hear you and Vern are doing well! Getting plenty of nice weather? Spring should be coming...soon.
*eager*
Ah, I see, Ruby. Well, that's still nice that you got at least a little break from school!
Didja get any more sunshine yesterday?
Oh, we got a lot more sunshine today! Still a tad cloudy after that nasty storm last night, but very beautiful all the same. I am so looking forward to spring...it is so refreshing after winter (which always seems waaay too long after Christmas).
pogginfan!! I feel really bad now for not saying hi to you earlier...how are you doing?
lol, what? I expect people to read my entire posts!! Just kidding. And, no! You're posts aren't boring at all! I always read the whole thing.

I don't get many headaches. For me, late-night homework = exhaustion the next day.
CHOCOLATE IS BAD!
Lucky person. I can't imagine a life without headaches. It's mostly my fault though, considering that I rarely get myself to bed on time and I stay up so late working on homework. For me, late nights = tired = headache.
My goodness, Aiden! I've never seen such a strong anti-chocolateist.
CHOCOLATE IS YUMMY!! And everyone knows that yummy = good!
I didn't much like the movie Inkheart either. It was pretty good, but I loved the book too much. The book was so well written and the plot just fits so much better on paper, so do the characters...
But when it comes to books, I don't recommend the sequels (books) to Inkheart. The first was probably the only really good one. After the first, the author just kind of dragged on all these pointless plots...
Haha! Was I rambling? Indeed you were, Ruby.
Shame on me. I ramble far too much. Indeed you do.
Erubadhriel, is that you? Perhaps...you have homework, do you not?
*sigh* Did you have to bring that unpleasant subject up? Forgive me, but I had to.
I suppose that means I must get off... I suppose it does.
You know, Erubadhriel, you are a very annoying conscience... Was there ever a conscience that was not annoying?
Truer words were never spoken, Eru... And now you really must get to your homework.
Yes, I must. You're rambling again.
You're the one rambling... Never mind.
God bless, everyone!

Everyone has something that they get often and can't imagine life without. For example, I very commonly get stomach aches. Like, almost every day. Same thing with you and headaches. Headaches are much worse than stomach aches, though.
And you'll never see another one. It's a passion to hate chocolate.
That's very good logic, except that CHOCOLATE IS GROSS and everyone knows that GROSS = BAD!
I've never read the book, but it does seem like something that would work much better in book form than in movie form. Anyway, that said, I doubt I'd ever read the book.
Haha, it doesn't seem like something to which there could be a good sequel, but then again, sequels never are as good as the original.

Mortereve, all!
School's been keeping me busy, etc etc etc...
Apart from the regular schedule of life, on January 17th, something else creeped in that was a mucho expected sorpresa. My dearest sister, CSLN celebrated the anniversary of "her fortunate birth" *nudgenudge'sthemissedintheSquareLissa* and we had a festive time at church, taking a Black Forest Italian cake that my mom made. I got about half a piece, but the rest was devoured. Ah well. And then we had some French Silk pie that we had got at home, so we've been eating that now and then. Nothing beats Baker's Square.
So she had a lovely birthday with some nice, useful gifts. (One being an adress book with little kitty cats...D'aw! [from yours truly] )
I suppose I shall do catchup now...only a few pages and I have the rights to skimming!
Aiden- (who I always either end the post with, or begin with coincidentally.),
When we do get to watch NT1, I sure will give my review on it! And, yes, I most indeed am going treasure hunting. The mime venture didn't work, so I said to meself..hey, why not go treasure hunting?
but I'm trusting the first will be better.
I'm glad to hear that. It's funny, we put up our decorations later and later each year, in fact last year we didn't even get the Christmas tree up... Why do you normally feel depressed afterwards?
Same here. But, both days I got a huge load of homework. Eesh, you'd think I could ease back into school. Not! LoL, the teachers don't know what I'm doing, they're recorded on a DVD. Oh well...
Yes, indeed. ...why am I lucky? Any part I want? What part would I possibly want? No, we don't have auditions or anything; the director knows exactly what each of us can do, so she casts us in the roles that are best for each of us. Though, this year, she had the four main girls do auditions to figure which would be best for which of the Little Women. Anyway, I got the part of John Brooke. Pretty small part, but it'll be fun nonetheless.
Ditto. Didn't get the Christmas tree up? My! It's perfectly understandable, though.
I'm not sure. I guess it's the feeling of just Christmas and all the carols and all that being gone until next year... but New Years comes around, then Ella's birthday, and after that Winter Retreat, so I get pretty cured most of the time. ^.^
Haha, same. This is our third week from break, and third weeks are always final test week, so it's been...not too fun. Thank goodness we have an extra week next week where we only do Language!
(Speaking of language, I was really shocked the other day at church when two ladies got out of the elevator and started speaking in Spanish, and I understood nearly everything.
(nothing especially surprising, it was just "Tu?! Oh, que sorpresa! Como esta? Soy bien tambien" etc. (*did not go search for accents, even though they might have been necessary, because she is feeling lazy*) I'd practice it now, but can't think of what to say. Do give me a phrase or something in that sort and test if I can go along with the conversation, please.
) Teachers recorded in a DVD and not knowing what your doing?
Well, you could be singing and they wouldn't know, wouldn't that be first-rate?
jk.
Indeed! Why are you lucky, you ask? Muchly so that you get to be in a Little Women play! It's a really big something for me, for I've always wanted to be in a Little Women play...possibly as Jo or Beth, but mostly the latter 'cause she's my favourite. =] Oh, I see, that makes sense! How cool you got John Brooke!
(Although what happens to him in the future is saddening.
)
Bella, the novel is going well. I've reached 40,000 words and now need some sort of plot or climax. The Christmas program went very well, I think. We had some very interesting readings, and a nice selection of music. I haven't listened to the duet with my sister and I playing recorder and piano, but I don't think we sounded terrible. The bells did sound nice. If you miss Christmas, you can always keep listening to Christmas music. Are you going to post pictures of your crocheted creatures in the SO thread? And what sort of business do you have?
That's good to hear! I hope you've reached your plot or climax. I've been working on a story, but recently, all that comes to me is interesting paragraphs that are suspenseful and interesting, but I get clueless as to how to make them an interesting story.
But writing paragraphs is still fun.
How nice the duet you played sounds! C.S. and I did something similar; "Silent Night" with flute and piano, her flute gave out right in the middle but I somehow managed to cover it. I think that went sort of well.
Haha, that's true, but then I would have to stop at some point. Thankfully I've recovered the sad feeling of missing Christmas and am looking forward to Spring, even though it feels like centuries away.
I think I might be posting some pictures of them in the thread, yes. And the business is linked to them and knitting stuff, handmade cards, etc...It's a slow progress, but you know, coming together.
I really like your new icon! It's lovely. =]
*waves to Wintystar* Hi, you! How do you do?
Djaq, hah, oh no, I haven't been swimming. That would be...terrible, akchooly. :S Thanks! Yes, little animals melt hearts. <3

This feels like such a small conversation... What's been going on?
Cor, Yes, My Fair Lady is all that! But it doesn't cease me from enjoying the rest of the movie, so I can tolerate it.
Well, I hope you've gotten back into the swing of school now! I'm just anticipating the next big holiday. Which, sadly, is Spring Break but I can wait. *anxiously crosses off another day....*
Anywho, how have you been of late?

) What have you been reading?
Learning to crochet has being going splendidly, thanks! School has been taking up the time I was crocheting, but no matter. I've rested with the animals some, and am working on arm warmers and the like now. So, it's going well.

RL Sibling: CSLewisNarnia
Greeting everyone! I hope everyone has been having a pleasant week?
I have been- although it has been somewhat busy, but that's alright. Yesterday I baby sat for a friend all day, which was quite a bit of fun, especially toward the end of the day when the boy came home from school and he was telling me about what he did and how they got to go to the school library and stuff, and then he let me help him get his coat and snow pants and boots off... it was special!
Especially since for a while he wasn't sure about me and kind of kept to himself, so I'm glad that over time he's begun to trust me more.
But yes...
Twas a long day, though.
FF, yes, I really enjoyed the rest of City of Ember! Lina's little sister Poppy is so cute.
Yes! She was rather sweet, wasn't she? I like little children!
(Especially when they give you a hug, the feel of their little arms reaching around you makes me feel all fuzzy inside....) [/random]
How are you? How is life?
ForeverFan, I regret that I made you trip into a spasm of pain to your core to say that what I stated was wise and true...
![]()
![]()
Ah, you are kind indeed! How did thou knowest that I was indeed truly in pain to my very core as I uttered those words which were indeed wrenched from me like water droplets from an almost dry dishcloth?
I'm a bit elated today because of the grade I received on my first assigned paper for my English class. It wasn't an essay, that comes next week, but it was a compilation of my interpretations of the techniques they wanted me to employ in my writing, and I got a pleasing grade (fine, it was an A), and good comments from the teacher.
Hurray! That is fantastic stuff!
The first being, because I watched Nicholas Nickleby yesterday and discovered taht I love that movie and that Charles Dickens is absolutely brilliant and I really need to read more of him...
Ever seen the movie Nicholas Nickleby? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. I watched it several years ago, didn't care for it much then. But that was when I was an ignorant child (hehe). Watched it again yesterday and fell in love with it.
Huzzah! Which version did you see, pray tell? I just recently (in fact, a few days most likely before you saw it...) watched the 2002 version with Anne Hathaway. I liked it quite a bit.
I knew I had heard it before! That's one of my all-time favorite Brandon Heath songs.
![]()
![]()
I totally agree!! Brandon Heath has so many really nice songs that are fantastic- but Wait and See is one of my favourites as well. It's my theme song for 2010....
I can assure you that it was quite painful, not being able to remember the song.
Don't you hate it when you have the words to a tune in your head but you can't remember the name of the song or place the tune? Ah! Such frustration is quite unbearable!
Oh yes! It really is awful, isn't it? It feels like you must drop everything and concentrate on finding that song until you do or else you'll go crazy, eh?
I actually feel more frustrated with myself for not remembering it. *smacks herself on head* And I've heard it so many times too...
Aww! Don't feel too bad, okay?
Last night was quite exciting as well. We received a huge thunderstorm and our internet connection and our phone line both got zapped. Our house got struck by lightning! And I saw it! It nearly gave me heart attack! But we've got everything fixed today (finally). so, yeah...things have been interesting around here as of late...
Wowszers! You have a most interesting winter indeed! I'm glad everything is back to normal....
Oh, yes, yes, my version of Monte Cristo is unabridged. I never read abridged versions of books. Ever.
I realize this was to Mel but I'm glad you have the un-abridged version. *nods* I almost don't want to think about what they would have cut out in the abridge-ment, as it was all so good....
Oh, good!
Mine is going very well, thank you.
I was reading something in my journal the other day that I wrote about this time last year, and it was really cool to realize how much I've matured, both spiritually and just in terms of how I think.
I'll be praying that God will give you and your family wisdom to make the right choice.
Thanks so much!
I really appreciate your prayers- I think God is beginning to show us what He wants us to do and it's all so terribly exciting.
Mmmm, yes! Sometimes when I want to give up keeping a journal I think of how many times that I've looked back in my old journals and seen that I have grown and it's really encouraging. Of course, sometimes the entries from this time last year were somewhat more painful due to events in my life, and it's kind of hard reading those particular ones because all the feelings and emotions and memories come flooding back, but all in all it's okay.
How is life for you? I hope all is well!
FF: Hey!!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately.
As someone previously pointed out, the square is going pretty slow. I'm rather glad of it though, or else I'd have way more catchup then I already do.
*waves* Queen Susan! How are you? That's alright about not being around as much (hey...I seem to only make one post a week, so I'm kind of in the same club as you...) - of course we all miss you!
Yes...tis very nice indeed that the Square moves rather slowly it seems.
Lol, well you've got time to catch up and get ahead since we don't have Season 5.
Yes it was, and, as I recall, the endings were more complete than Season 3.
Hurray!
I'm glad to hear the endings were much better in Season 4, that's great.
Maybe they were just experimenting with a new style in Season 3 and figured out they didn't like it as much.
@ Fanny. Ditto there, though I don't believe I have ever had trouble communicating/discussing stuff with my parents. Either way, it's been a good thing to discuss with them and help to understand the "why's" on the choices we make.
Life's going pretty well for me right now. School and normal stuff are keeping me busy.
How about you?
Yes- that's true! And for so many other things then just movies, such as the important things about our faith and doctrines and such. As we grow older it's really important to not just know that we believe one way or the other but why, so we can more easily and readily explain to those who don't believe why we believe & etc.
I'm glad to hear that your life has been pretty good- here has been good too. Everything seems pretty routine right now, nothing to out of the ordinary. I'm kind of happy, though. It's nice to have some time when it's just the regular stuff, I guess.
Hee, Fanny, I understood what you mean about a not nice illness and all.
But yes, we're very glad that she's doing better now! I think she's almost fully recovered, praise God.
Oh good! Sometimes I wonder if my ideas make sense to others....meaning, I usually think about most stuff so much that it makes 100% complete sense to me, but when I tell others I forget that they weren't there for the thinking (or I didn't let them in on the complex process) so they don't get it all. Anyways.
I'm so glad your Mom is better! Praise the Lord indeed!
LOL! Dancing lessons on the sly? I say we do it. And then we surprise the world by our wonderful dancing skills. Sounds like a plan.
I've been reading (still reading...
) Mansfield Park... I haven't been doing much faithful reading, but I'm promising myself to have it done by next week. (And I'll be able to understand it better after you, Lady L and a few others clarified about some characters. Thank-you, thank-you!!

Learning to crochet has being going splendidly, thanks! School has been taking up the time I was crocheting, but no matter. I've rested with the animals some, and am working on arm warmers and the like now. So, it's going well.![]()
Indeed! Now, we have to find some good dance teachers. Wait, I think JoJo knows how to dance? Maybe she'll teach us? If we want to let her in on the secret, of course.
Oh, you're welcome! Anytime!
I'm so glad that we were able to help, I hope you enjoy the rest of the book.
And don't worry about how long it takes, it's okay!
I'm almost done reading War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy, it has been a great read, especially since it's set in the early 1800s and those were my favourite years in history (especially the War of 1812, although it's the British-American war of 1812 I like best. The Napoleonic wars are vastly interesting, but the War of 1812 over here is much more closer to home and I like it better, for various reasons). But back to the book, there's quite a few characters that I really like, which makes everything much better.
I'm glad the crochet learning is going well- you are so creative.
Well, I should be off. Cheers all!!
