Mortereve all! Time to ketchup, I suppose. Church went well yesterday. Unfortunately, now we're back to school today.

*waves back to Libby* I'm doing quite well, thank you. How about you? :)

Jojo, lol, it sounds like you have had a good Christmas and New Year's! :) How has 2010 been for you so far?

Ruby, I don't know much writing news articles either. I'm sure you'll do great though. :D
Lol, we actually haven't had much sunshine lately. It was raining like all day yesterday and it's quite cloudy out today.

*waves to MA and poggy*

Good morning! Happy Martin Luther King Day!! I hope everyone here is having a good day. :)

Ruby, I don't know much writing news articles either. I'm sure you'll do great though. :D

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that Narnia Girl. :( Rainy days, as beautiful as they are, can never compare to days full of sunshine. Well, I'll send some sunshine you're way and hope you get some real sunshine soon!! :)

Well, I think I'll be hanging around here for a little while...no school today!! Just a research paper to finish up, a speech presentation to complete, and an analysis to write... *sigh* :P

God bless, all!!

*Comes into the square feeling a bit higher in spirit, after reading Ruby's post!*

Hey all!

Catchup................

Ben: I love Samwise in the movie! Square Dasher is really awesome! :D I should tell my mom: "Mom, I am now Square Dasher!" she would laugh! I love it! :D :D :D :D

lol Yeah!

*strolls back into the square with a grin on her face and her Latin textbook in her hand*

:D You're probably all dying to know why I'm grinning! And even if you're not, well, I'm goint to tell you any way. :P I'm happy!! Why? Well, there are several reasons. The first being, because I watched Nicholas Nickleby yesterday and discovered taht I love that movie and that Charles Dickens is absolutely brilliant and I really need to read more of him...

No but do go on :p ;)

Ever seen the movie Nicholas Nickleby? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. I watched it several years ago, didn't care for it much then. But that was when I was an ignorant child (hehe). Watched it again yesterday and fell in love with it.

I watched it years ago but I did not really enjoy it, but that was probably because I watched it when I was an ignorant child lol

lol I love the Daydreaming Smilie!

Anyway, the second reason why I'm so happy is because the sun came out today!!! Nothing like a little sunshine to raise ones spirit!! :)

OH I LOVE WHEN THE SUN COMES OUT! *Turns around and yells at the sun to come out!*

Oh That's okay I'll do it anytime your in need

You're too nice, Benjamin. [-x ;)

:( :(( ........................ ;) lol Thanks

*Skips out of the square singing, singin in the rain*

*thinking how inconsistent she is in saying she won't be around much, then is able to come here more often, Jojo takes a moment to come into the Square and post replies to lovely conversation* Hello, all! Yes, ditto Ruby's statement of a very Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! I am having a delightful one, thanks! ;)

I'm a bit elated today because of the grade I received on my first assigned paper for my English class. It wasn't an essay, that comes next week, but it was a compilation of my interpretations of the techniques they wanted me to employ in my writing, and I got a pleasing grade (fine, it was an A), and good comments from the teacher. :) And the sun is shining. :D And I feel pretty grand today! Except for a few things, but we won't dwell on those...

Mel, Hehe, I'm glad you found the quote fun! ;) :) Yes, the other quote is/was "For crying in a dump-truck!" 8-}
Oh yes, a marvelous time was had by all. Swing-dancing is really simple to learn, and once you hear the right song to dance to, it's impossible not to catch on!

Ruby, *to whom I am sending hugs *, I'm doing fine, thanks! How are you doing? =) Mmhm, I know, it's just a tiny bit annoying to be picking up such jargon, but ah well. I actually do think that "Hey, dude!/Hey, man!" are pretty casual and friendly ways to communicate, as long as they're sincere and coming from the right person, ya know?

Yes, we can see the grass, at last! I am afraid, however, that winter-conditions are on their way again next week. :(( I was soaking up the Vitamin D today by doing my studying in the windowsill. It was p.r.e.t.t.y. niiiiice! lol!

Kat! Thanks for coming by to say "Hi!" to me! I have missed you as well, but I've sort of been keeping up on your comings and goings by reading your rare posts here...too rare, I might add, m'dear. I guess, in that case, I haven't really been keeping up with you, if those are few-and-far-between updates...

Oh, this performance is, as I understand it, a play (this one is called "Death on the Downbeat"), and the Wichita Symphony is playing the score for it. This is the synopsis of it: "Someone has murdered the maestro right before the season's biggest concert. Who did this dastardly deed? The surly second violinist? The paroled piccolo player? Or perhaps the mysterious Lady in Red? Everyone's a suspect in this special murder mystery concert featuring the acclaimed Magic Circle Theatre Company. There will be plenty of musical highlights to just die for." I am SO excited for it!!!

Poggy I'm glad you enjoyed "Ever After"! I like Drew Barrymore in it a lot. :) Amen and amen, I agree with your point about online shopping...! Yup, we did. We did, we did, we did. :D

Narniagirl, I'm pleased to announce that my 2010 has been very, very, um...swift, so far! It's been a good year, though, with promises of a good 12 months head. How has yours been?

Must. Drag. Myself. Away. Now. Bye bye! *waves and wanders westward, wishing she were a walrus walking with a witty waiter and something about waxed lips*

"More than words is all you have to do to make it real. Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me, 'Cause I'd already know."

Well, it seems I have come for one of my 5-7 page appearances...

Winter and Ruby: ;)) Nice post. ;)

DJ: You know, I don't have anything to say really. But I figured I should say something. :p

Kat: We'll miss you, but I know what you mean! Internet does suck up a lot of time. I just tend to have a lot of things that I should "visit", but I tend not doing so for a few weeks or months at a time. I'm sure I still spend too much time on the computer though...

Jojo: Nice to "see" you!! :D Even though we haven't really talked here in ages, it's nice "seeing you" on facebook. Feels like I know a bit more what's going on, even if I haven't seen you in the square/been there myself. :)

Bella: Nice new graphics you posted on facebook! :D I didn't have time to comment on them there though.

FF: Hey!! :D Sorry I haven't been around much lately. ;)) As someone previously pointed out, the square is going pretty slow. I'm rather glad of it though, or else I'd have way more catchup then I already do. :p
---

Well, not a whole lot is new I guess.. I started choir, so now I have violin twice a week, piano once, and choir once. Helps that choir and violin are on the same day, so it's not an extra trip to town.

Oh yes, and my little brothers and they're "Lego team" won state competition here, so they're going on to WORLD's in April! Very exciting for them. :D They were competing against 71 other teams at State, and ended up being the top one! Woohoo!

Thanks, Ruby! :D Fortunately, though, the weather forecast says we should get some sunshine this week, so that'll be nice. :D
Ohh, you got off school yesterday? Lucky. My mom still makes me do school...

That's great to hear, Jojo! :) 2010 has been great for me so far. I think it's gonna be a good year.

Libby, I'm rereading Forest Born by Shannon Hale. It's one of my favorite books. :)

QS! Hi! That's so cool about your brothers winning the state competition!!

Mortereve all!

Work on our play is progressing well. We got a nice, large snowstorm yesterday. :D Anyway, on to catchup!

Haha. Well, isn't that the way it always works on the square? :P I'm still pretty good, a bit tired from late night school homework. (-| But I'm alive all the same.

Seems like it does, except most people don't even notice. You can tell someone hasn't really read your post when they ask you how you're doing and that's what your whole post was about. ;)) Oof, I know what late night schoolwork is like. (-|

That it does! I did come back quicker this time though. ;))

Yes, good for you! But, you'll be gone all this week, huh?

I think that you've been through this with. . .Jojo? Lady L? Maybe both. ;)) I remember seeing it though.
You don't believe me? :P I think at that point. . . I was talking to some of the other mods about something, but I honestly don't remember what. ;)) :P

I know Bella did it to me, and maybe Jojo, too. Ah well. ;))
No, I believe you. You were probably just goofing off with the other mods so you could say it was "mod-related". :P Just kidding...

Lol! :P Hmm, the scene in NT1 where they show up at Ben's Dad's house after they stole the Declaration? :)

Eh, I don't really like that scene too much. Is it ok if I pick another one?

"We look kinda conspicuous." National Treasure.

"Pretend everything's alright!"
It's funny, I was thinking just this morning that since we've started working on another play, I'll be starting to use quotes from it. Well, I just did! ;))

Hah, no. :P They aren't to blame for everything. ;)
You're welcome. ;)
Really? Thanks! ;) :P
Well, I was in an Easter play at my old church (a few years ago), but it wasn't a "real" play. ;)) When did you first start acting on stage? :)

Perhaps not, but they're a handy excuse. ;) :P
Oh, sort of a cantata with drama? That counts. :P Ooh, boy, it was a while ago. Our homeschool group had been doing a play each year for several years before I was a part of it. When I was 7, we did the play The Man Who Came to Dinner and a person that was playing one of the minor characters found out two weeks before the play that he couldn't be there. So, I got the part, and was thrust into the world of plays. I've been doing it ever since!

Bennett, a friend of mine just started a blog very similar to yours but more focused on movies than soundtracks. You can check it out here.

@ NN. Oh well. I highly recommend watching Batman Begins and possibly The Dark Knight. TDK is pretty disturbing (really, it is), so I would be more cautious about seeing that one. Begins is fine though. :) Also, stay away from the 90's Batman films.... complete wastes of time and talent. :|

Jerry Goldsmith usually did a great job with whatever score he did. :) It's taken me a few years, but I'm finally starting to find various Goldsmith scores that I like.

Well, as you know, it arrived the next day. :D

Thanks for the advice!

Yes indeed. I've heard a bunch of his music, and I really enjoy it.

Yeah, how exciting!

You do indeed. ;) No worries though- was the rest of the season good?

And how is life in general for you? I hope the play practices go well for you and whatnot. :)

Lol, well you've got time to catch up and get ahead since we don't have Season 5. ;)) Yes it was, and, as I recall, the endings were more complete than Season 3.

It was warm outside, around 50 degrees (which, when you think about it, isn't really warm, but it's definitely warmer than the weather we've had lately)

That would be hot around here! And we were thinking the weather in the 40s was really warm!

NN95, lol yeah, our first snow was our biggest one. ;)) It was funny how that turned out.
Mmm...I guess school's going okay. :p I had a couple quizzes today, which made me very nervous...but thankfully I got A's on both of them. #:-s

Huh, that's interesting. By the way, we just got some more snow! :D
That's good. Good for you!

Hey, Nutty-man! Whoa, that is crazy about your ice-storm and two-weeks without power. We had a huge ice-storm back in Jan. of '07 that coated our lines and stole our power for 11 days. Might have been the one identical to yours! It was only fun roughing-it for the first two days.
Oh never mind, I won't argue with you anymore. Unless, of course, you keep insisting that chocolate is BAD!! ;)

Hey, Jojo-girl! Yeah, it was crazy. Wow, how cool you had one just like ours! Wait a minute... /:)
Truthfully, we got our power back after two days, but my grandparents were out for a couple weeks so every evening we would go there and sit by the fire and play games and such. So, it was kind of a cheater's way of enjoying a power outage. ;) :P
CHOCOLATE IS BAD! [-(

Glad to see the Square picking up! Well, that's all for me. Mort'reve all!

Ohh, you got off school yesterday? Lucky. My mom still makes me do school...

Well, I guess my sunshine got delivered quickly! However, it seems to have deserted me today. But you never know, it might come back out later today...

I didn't get completely off of school. See, I'm taking several classes from two different home school organizations. So, one teacher let me off, but the other two didn't...and I still had lots of homework to do. But it was still nice to have a small break. :)

Seems like it does, except most people don't even notice. You can tell someone hasn't really read your post when they ask you how you're doing and that's what your whole post was about. Oof, I know what late night schoolwork is like.

*chuckles* But that's okay, because I don't expect anyone to read my entire long posts. I admit, my posts are very boring (when I'm talking about myself, like right now :P).

Yes, late-night homework = head ache in the morning...like today. (-|

Well, I must be off, prepare myself for Geometry class! :)
