*bikes into the Square, parks her bike, takes off her helmet, and climbs off* Well, I actually went outside for a couple hours today and rode my bike with my sister. It was warm outside, around 50 degrees (which, when you think about it, isn't really warm, but it's definitely warmer than the weather we've had lately) so we were busy doing that this afternoon. I STILL have some schoolwork to do this evening *sigh* but, well...I'll get to it when I get to it.
Now, however, I'll get to ketchuping (if that's the right word). Man, the Square sure picked up.
*chuckles* EP, you read my Ranger's Apprentice spoiler?
Yup, though, I haven't actually read the book myself, though, I was just skimming though it, so now I've spoiled it for myself as well.
Yeah, there's like 9 books in Austraila. Erak's Ransom is the 7th to come out in the USA, I believe. Have you read 1-6?
*waves to Jojo* Hey, how are you doing? It's fantastic to see you around again!
NN95, lol yeah, our first snow was our biggest one. It was funny how that turned out.
Mmm...I guess school's going okay. I had a couple quizzes today, which made me very nervous...but thankfully I got A's on both of them.
Ruby, sounds like you've been busy! But that's super cool that you're writing the news articles for your dad's Robotics team.
I bet that'll be fun.
Same here, Djaq, I've been busy with school and reading as well. What books have you been reading lately?
PrinceCor, that's so cool that you got snow, even if it was only an inch or so! I know, I love watching the snowflakes come down too! They're so pretty.
FF, yes, I really enjoyed the rest of City of Ember! Lina's little sister Poppy is so cute.
Well, that's all for now, I guess. *heads out listening to "Alpha and Omega" by the GVB*

Good afternoon! Well, I took the time to look through the pages since my last post, and really, the overwhelming feeling that came upon me was actually much less than other overwhelming things have made me feel lately. This should be a piece of cake! Haha, I jest...sort of.
How is everyone? I'm perfectly azure; an elusive color of blue as I pine away, moment by moment until Lissa returns home. (she's been away since Tuesday; won't be back 'til Tues. or Wed.) Another reason for me to pine away is that I must wait a full two weeks until we can go to Wichita for the Symphony/Theater Performance. I much prefer last-minute decisions; it saves months, weeks, and days of twiddling my thumbs in anticipation.
Whether it is with dread, chagrin, a tight-lipped smile, or maybe a half-hearted clap of your fingers, I am here to present, *drum-roll please* (not a rim-shot, if you please), my long-overdue catch-up post! Thank you, thank you, it's not really that big a'deal. Lucky ones first: ( )
Hey, Pogginfan, did you ever get to watch "Ever After" after we were talking about it? Did you find it to your liking?
Narniagirl, yes, I, with slight embarrassment now, admit to the fact that I wore a beard to be a shepherd over Christmas. But, I completely made up for that boyishness on New Years' Eve by wearing a party dress and going dancing in girlish style.
Thanks for the name of the author for the Dragon in our Midst! I'll look into it as soon as I have a spare moment that I'm not using for an extra breath.
It is always wonderful to see you too, Queen Susan! How goes life at Cair Paravel? (which is where Queen Susan resides, is it not?)
*gets read aloud to out of "Hank the Cowdog", by my little brother*
Djaq! I don't know if you remember your last quote, but it was this: "I try my best for satisfaction, sir." And to this I reply: "Your Christian names are still an insuperable barrier! That is all."
Oh, about Abigail Chase: in the second National Treasure, when Connor "found her earring" and she's gushing how good he his. "You're just the best!" It's a lil' weird, actually.
Wait, now you're calling me "Jojo"? Whatever happened to "Cordelia"? JK!
Oh, ok, yes, I understand about you not driving just yet. That's a good goal; a summary on the book of Leviticus would be simple. "Guidelines for grain, trespass, burnt, and sin offerings repeated about seventy times."
Whoa now, don't let the whole world know that we argue, Rebel!!
*gives a wave to the Prince dude* I'm sorry; I seem to have picked up "Heeeey, dude!" language from some Californian friends of mine...
Hey Miss Rosario! Aw, thank you for the comment on my old FB DP; Oh, and, I take it you saw the hoodies over on that "other site" as well?
Anyway...How are you doing? Are you having a good school-term since Christmas break?
Bella!! Hullo luv, how's u?
Your avatar is just the cutest! Me gusta your gloves!
*follows her tradition of speaking first to a few individuals then waving to everyone* Is it a cherry-topped day for y'all? I hope so!
Has anyone else noticed how very sluggishly this Square moves? We used to fly by hundreds of pages...haven't even reached 100 yet on this Square. Makes me feel homesick for the old site.
PoN, salutations! Oooh, so your movie-trailer ends like "The Lady and the Tiger"? Very clever! I liked the trailer, and the song, and yes, your uncle is very talented! That's so cool!!
Hey, Nutty-man! Whoa, that is crazy about your ice-storm and two-weeks without power. We had a huge ice-storm back in Jan. of '07 that coated our lines and stole our power for 11 days. Might have been the one identical to yours! It was only fun roughing-it for the first two days.
Oh never mind, I won't argue with you anymore. Unless, of course, you keep insisting that chocolate is BAD!!
*notices all the new avatars, all of which I love very much folks*
Liln! Have I ever mentioned that I miss you when you're gone for long amounts of time? I'm glad you so enjoyed your Christmas break; it truly is rejuvenating!
Lys, thank you greatly for the comment on my ensemble! I was hurt just about this much *holds fingers an inch apart* when no one else mentioned it...You should see me now, though! Ahh, it's all hilarious.
ForeverFan, I regret that I made you trip into a spasm of pain to your core to say that what I stated was wise and true...
Regarding our "secret potion":
Miss Aravis!! Long time no see! I'm doing great, how are you? My Christmas was wonderful, thank you.
I'm so glad you had a great birthday!!
Hi, Winter! How goes it? Oh, so you've experimented with skating backwards and such? I'm too...timid for that, believe it or not!
*listens to "Transiberian Orchestra"* Amazing, as usual.
Hi, Ruby! *waves cheerily*
Our snow is melting, and I'm actually glad. It's good to see grass again, lol!
The making of lasagna calls me away! I may not be around in a few weeks again; I do that now, go in spurts.
Happy January 16th!

I can confuse myself into a tizzy of decidedly massive chaos
Awww, that's a fun quote. (Not quite as good about the one crying in a dump truck (or is it crying oneself a dump truck??? my memory fails me on the details...
) but almost.) It sounds like you had a perfectly wonderful time at the ball! *wishes she knew how to swing dance*
*waves excitedly back to the people who waved to her*
*has nothing else to say at the moment* So... I guess I'll go see about reading the 3rd Chrestomanci book...
EDIT: This could be bad... my Arwen avatar makes me think of Wren, and not me. Maybe it's the colour.

You're probably all dying to know why I'm grinning! And even if you're not, well, I'm goint to tell you any way.
I'm happy!! Why? Well, there are several reasons. The first being, because I watched Nicholas Nickleby yesterday and discovered taht I love that movie and that Charles Dickens is absolutely brilliant and I really need to read more of him...
Ever seen the movie Nicholas Nickleby? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. I watched it several years ago, didn't care for it much then. But that was when I was an ignorant child (hehe). Watched it again yesterday and fell in love with it.
Anyway, the second reason why I'm so happy is because the sun came out today!!! Nothing like a little sunshine to raise ones spirit!!
Lol Yes it is Fabulous and makes me laugh every time!
*grins*
Oh That's okay I'll do it anytime your in need
You're too nice, Benjamin.
I'm doing rather well, thanks. It's hard to type well with my arthritis, and my cane is inconvenient, but other than that I'm doing well. And don't worry, I don't quite have a beard yet.
Thank you! It's been exciting.
You actually had me worried there for a minute when you said "arthritis". But I'm usually slow on the uptake, so...
Glad to hear that you haven't grown a beard yet.
Ah, tis nice to see you around again, miss Ruby!
Thank you! It's very nice to be back. I've missed the square. How have you been doing as of late?
I am sorry to have put you through such, er, pain. Believe me, it was unconsciously done. The song that the lyrics are from is "Wait and See" and the artist who wrote the song and sings it is Brandon Heath.
I knew I had heard it before! That's one of my all-time favorite Brandon Heath songs.
I can assure you that it was quite painful, not being able to remember the song. Don't you hate it when you have the words to a tune in your head but you can't remember the name of the song or place the tune? Ah! Such frustration is quite unbearable!
I actually feel more frustrated with myself for not remembering it. *smacks herself on head* And I've heard it so many times too...
Ruby, sounds like you've been busy! But that's super cool that you're writing the news articles for your dad's Robotics team. I bet that'll be fun.
Yeah, we'll have to see how it turns out though. I really have no clue when it comes to writing news articles. If they like them, they'll publish them. If they don't, well I'll just have to keep working on it...
How are you? I hope you've been getting a lot of sunshine!
I'm sorry; I seem to have picked up "Heeeey, dude!" language from some Californian friends of mine...
*chuckles* You know, that kind of language always annoyed me. And it annoys me even more now that I'm picking it up. Nothing more annoying than picking up something that annoys you!
Hi, Ruby! *waves cheerily*
Jojo! *waves back and sends a hug* How are you? Glad to hear that the snow is finally melting! Snow is beautiful, but winter gets sooo tiring after a while. All the snow has pretty much melted here as well and I can't wait for the first signs of spring to appear! It's so beautifully dramatic when spring arrives...along with the blue skies and the flowers...
Ah, you can definitely tell that I'm missing spring.
And now 'tis time to depart! Leave the square, finish memorizing some Latin vocab and then go to bed.
God bless and goodnight everyone!

just really quick, JOJO! I've missed you. I'm glad you had a good Christmas! What is this Symphony/theater performance you speak of?
I'm afraid I can't catch up right now. I've made the decision to not spend so much time on the internet (youtube, facebook, twitter, and the like.. 6 forums that I regularly follow). I may not be visiting the square as much as a result. I've just found that I have really not been focusing on school/music as much as I should lately and the internet is the main distraction. So I am not leaving, I will just not be around as much. I will see you all later!!!
Mortereve, mortereve!
@Mel Aww, I'm so sorry you weren't feeling totally yourself on Christmas.
Oh, yes, yes, my version of Monte Cristo is unabridged. I never read abridged versions of books. Ever. I assume you've read it?
That's good. I've been good. A bit busy, what with the holidays and getting ready for school to start again (sigh). It was!
Yeah, starting back school is like a cold slap in the face. But, I must say, I am rather glad to get back into my regular routine of things.
It was one of my favorites out of that batch she made. Yes, isn't she talented??
A huge congrats on becoming a mod!!!
Oh yes, you both are extremely talented!
By the way, I was wondering the other day where your name Djaq comes from? (I might have asked you that before, sometimes my memory can be rather bad )
Ah good!
I'm glad your Mom enjoyed it too!
It is a nice story, and I like their take on the Cinderella story and such.
Twas nice, although it's not one of my favourite-favourites. It will probably have to grow on me more for that.
Yes, I agree. Not quite a favorite-favorite.
My 2010 is going well so far, I think!
Lots of promise I think!
And for you?
Oh, good! Mine is going very well, thank you.
I was reading something in my journal the other day that I wrote about this time last year, and it was really cool to realize how much I've matured, both spiritually and just in terms of how I think.
I'll be praying that God will give you and your family wisdom to make the right choice.
@Jojo Yes, I did see 'Ever After', and enjoyed it. Thank you for recommending it to me.
I much prefer last-minute decisions; it saves months, weeks, and days of twiddling my thumbs in anticipation.
I do, do, do agree! I don't like buying things from on-line because then I have to wait for it to ship.
It sounds like you had a marvelous time at your dance!
Thus finishes my skim-ish sort of post. My pillow is looking wonderfully fluffy and inviting right now.
Cozy slippers!
