Mortereve, all!
Ooh, look who decided to come by! "This member may appear without warning." *lol's*
China! Of course. I'll start walking.
Aw Elanor, sorry to hear about your cold. Those things are nasty.
I used a couple sets of Lucy a few years back, I believe. Overall, though, I tend to stay away from Narnia-related graphics. I guess it's because there are so many on here (it IS a Narnia forum after all ). The same goes with my username. I originally thought of choosing a name related to Queen Lucy, but then I realized how many Queens and Lucy's there are on here and changed my mind.
Cool! Did you make your current set?
This made me

*Two familiar figures meander into the the Square on a warm summers night...*
Mortereve all! I'm afraid it's been quite awhile since Vern and I have stopped by... again.
*Yes.... it does seem Life keeps getting in the way. *
Indeed... But, here we are!
*Right! *
There's not a whole lot of news from Archenland... The weather is finally getting a tad cooler over the last few days. The Royal Couple are usually busy about their royal duties... Vern and I have been taking advantage of the hot, muggy days and doing... nothing.
*Though by doing nothing, Cor actually means spending most afternoons by the streams around the castle. *
True.
*Vern walks over to the chocolate tree and prunes a few branches of sweet for himself and the prince*
Random: Has anyone seen/heard about the Hallmark movie The 10th Kingdom? One of my cousins gave me the DVD to watch and I can safely say it's... strange.
Besides the fact that the movie has shoddy TV CGI, a out of place score and drags on too long, it's also one of those lovely films that's "Unrated"... but should be PG-13. I honestly don't see how this one is suppose to be "for the whole family!".
Sooo, yeah. I wouldn't really recommend this one to anyone. Just be forewarned if you ever come across it.
*looks over the above*
Heh... sorry for the little ramble.
*At least you were saying something in the ramble. *
I guess that gets it for this visit. Hopefully I'll be able to make it back this weekend. Until then, I hope everyone has a good rest of the week!
Oh! Before I go, a special shout-out to Rose who helps to pester me to return to the Square when I've been gone too long.
Alright, until next time!

Ahh, it's loverly to see some of the good ol' faces in the Square again. Ryadian, Aravanna, Lady_Liln, cep, PrinceCor!
Aha, I see some folk jumped into the Square during the Moot. Cool! I didn't have a computer with me, so visited with NWebbers in offline life instead. A wonderful time, it was, truly.
I wish I had more time to chat now, but I will say one thing: PC, there are only benefits from chalking with wocolate. Wups, reverse that. (Vern, hopefully I'll have a treat for you next time.)
Oh, also! The weather here finally has a hint of autumn in it, and this makes me so very ... HAPPY!

This is way too slow. Sad.
Ah well. School starts for me on Monday, so I guess I won't be around as much anyway.
Ello, Cor! *has never heard of The 10th Kingdom - and will probably keep it that way* Heh. There are a lot of weird movies out these days.
Ooh, I get a shout-out? For pestering, though..... yup. I suppose I'd fit that category.
Louise the Second! Good to see you. Unfortunately, hints of autumn have yet to reach Michigan. It is still very definitely summer here. But yes. I am going to be beyond happy when the leaves start to change, and the geese start to leave, and the air starts to cool. *contented sigh*
Many thanks, Conina! I enjoyed them both very much.

From what I've heard via the Royal Mother it sounds like y'all had a splendid moot.

@ Rose. School starts back for me on Monday as well.... yay. Oh well, I'm actually sortof excited for this semester. Lots of classes I've never taken before.
Indeed... Thankfully there are always the old classics if needed.
*chuckles* It's for pestering in a good way... if that is possible. *thinks...* I say it's possible, so yeah... it was meant in a good way.

Hello, everyone!!
*enters the square sore and yawning* Working out and waking up earlier than I have in awhile. Yeah.
Not much has happened since the last time I posted here. I went to a ball on Friday, and that was magnificent - after the official, formal dancing, we turned on the fun music and started swing dancing. That was wildly fun. And we waltzed to "So She Dances" by Josh Groban. And yesterday I went to a 4 1/2 hour tea party.
We sat around and talked about Shakespeare and Jane Austen movies, and laughed really hard. It was great.
Aw Elanor, sorry to hear about your cold. Those things are nasty.
Ah well. I'm over it now.

I agree, I like to use unique graphics, but I've found that there are plenty of unique narnian ones, especially if you have them personalized for you. So why did you choose your username? (by the way, it's one of the loveliest on here.
)
Cool! Did you make your current set?
NO!! I can't make graphics at all, I don't know where to start. xD Becca made mine by request, and she did an amazing job.
*waves to Cor* Other than life getting in your way, are you doing well?
*doesn't understand the Louises yearning for fall/autumn* Don't you know hat comes after that? *looks around fearfully and whispers* WINTER!!
Summer has gone by so fast. I've loved it, and yet I still feel I haven't enjoyed it enough. I guess I'll wait till my birthday is past before I start resigning myself to winter. And after all, I have two weeks of San Diego in February.
*waves to Conina* I don't believe we've met . . . but lovely to see you!

*pokes head in* Good Mortereve, ya'll! Just thought I'd post in here since I'm taking a break from chat.
Life's getting kinda crazy again with school starting and all that. I honestly was not thinking when I told my mother to give me hard schoolwork. In fact, I'm wondering if I'll even have free time anymore. At least I'm not starting for another 3 weeks.
This week has been a ball of stress for me. My Granddad has been in and out of the hospital with two clogged arteries and my Grandma is having eye issues. Yeah, not a good week so far.
Other than that, I'm doing pretty well. I've taken to staring at the Member Chat button wishing I could click it, but refusing to give in. Only 3 more weeks of break...

Oh, Cor? Well, it's always nice to be excited for school! I'm looking forward to seeing people again. People. I've missed people. I've had a bit of a deprived summer. But other then that....... eh. On the up side of things, however, I will definitely enjoy several of my new classes! And I got a job - working for my favorite teacher, who happens to teach my favorite subject. The prospect of grading English papers doesn't necessarily thrill me, but I guess I'll manage.
Aw, darn. I was gonna hold you accountable for saying that pestering is good.
And a Rya Post isn't a bad thing.
Hurray for balls, Elanor! It sounds like you had a fabulous time! (You didn't end up tripping over that long dress of yours, did you? ) *looooves Josh Groban's "So She Dances"* Actually.... pretty much everything of Josh Groban's. Yeah.
Definitely. Gotta love personalized graphics!
So why did you choose your username? (by the way, it's one of the loveliest on here.
)
Aww, that's the first time I've ever been told that. Thank you!! My sister (PrincessRosario) joined initially, and when I joined on my first account in 2006, I picked MissRosario (to keep the tradition going, of course
). And then I promptly forgot my password, lol, and had to make a second account several years later. Rosario is a marine station on the coast of Washington - mountains, forests, water, beach. Perfect temperature, too: not too cold, not too cold.
There are a lot of wonderful people and traditions there, so it's a real home-y place to me. Thus the name Miss Rosario!
And oh. Random sidenote. It's pronounced Miss Rose-AIR-ee-oh, not the commonly mistaken Miss Rose-ARE-ee-oh. xDD
Ah! Well Becca made a very lovely set for you. I can't make graphics, either. To save my life.
Well, yes actually. I love the winter.
Mort'reve, Lia! Eep, yes. I can imagine how hard the break from chat must be. Hope your Granddad and Grandma both get to feeling better!

Oh, hurrah! For once I'm pronouncing something right.
I just thought I'd poke my head in here and say hi, so... HI! Or, to be more precise, good mortereve. How is everyone doing?

Mortereve, all.
My life has been mostly uneventful, thanks to myself, who choses to spend most of her time on the internet, browsing Narniaweb and Facebook and not replying to comments or posts because she procrastinates. Ugh.
Anywho, the most exciting thing this week is that I finished two pillows: one dark turquoise-blue furry pillow with fabric on the back that is light blue with dainty pink rose flowers. I rather like it.
The other pillow I made with several stripes is a long one, with a lovely paisley fabric I found on sale. I just love this fabric to pieces. I am so glad I have extra to make another pillow with!
*catches up from the last page, or what she remembers*
I'm glad to hear that, Wrose! How's your writing going?
Miss R, thank-you for the compliment on the pillows! Unfortunately, because our camera has not been working for the past couple months, there might not be pictures unless it decides to work.
Ah! I have found out something-- I have been pronouncing your name wrong for all the time I've known you. Rose-AIR-ee-oh. I will have to remember that. *shakes head*
*waves to Mountie with her apple slices and book* What book?
I wonder what is it with SquareOnions and eating apples by books. Perhaps because I've eaten too many apples in my short lifetime, I don't love apples very much. At least, they are not my choice fruit. (except if they are Gala or Fuji, or have the adjective "cinnamon" preceding "apple." Then I love love love them.)
*gets a ... orange and reads her book* Although oranges are messy things to be eating around books. If Jo planted a clementine tree, I'll go see if there's one of those. *scavenges around the Square*
So I miss the Square and have wanted to come around.
Apologies for not replying to the rest. I'm really tired and am about as slow as the Square is moving, so I hope I have not hurt anyone.
Wow. Only one emoticon. I hope this means I'm learning to express myself better in words without the wonderful aid of emoticons, or it could just mean I'm tired and inexpressive. I'm feeling rather sarcastic, at the moment.

Hello again!
Hurray for the square!! In one day, so many posts!! I'm quite proud of you all. Hopefully it won't end abruptly.
*waves and huggles her bewuved sis, Lia* I've missed you on chat - I've finally been able to get on a little bit more, and you're gone? Very sad. I can't wait till you can join us again! I'm sorry about all the stress, and your grandparents health issues. Praying!
Hurray for balls, Elanor! It sounds like you had a fabulous time! (You didn't end up tripping over that long dress of yours, did you?
)
I did have a really great time. And I was pleasantly surprised at how my dress didn't get in my way at all - I forgot that I had a long one while I was swing dancing!! So yay!
*looooves Josh Groban's "So She Dances"* Actually.... pretty much everything of Josh Groban's. Yeah.
Oh my goodness, Ditto. To all of that. I love JG, though I have listened to so little of him lately. And So she Dances is one of my many favorites - I squealed when it started playing!
Very interesting about your username - I like when there's a reason for them. I must say, that along with Mountie, I'm very proud of myself for always pronouncing your name correctly, in my head. YAY!
Well, yes actually. I love the winter.
Do you live somewhere where it's freezing from mid October to April? Cause if you do, and you still like winter -

Hello everyone, I haven't been here in a while, *catches up on the past few pages*
Wild Rose, if you won July, does that mean you had to meet the 50,000 word requirement of November? If so that is really impressive!
Yes I made 50,000 words in July (54, 074 to be exact ), I've actually never done NaNo, just camp this year, I hope to do it for the first time in November
(And why does it matter what size the berries are anyhow?)
I asked my mom the same question and she said that the smaller berries aren't as yummy I hate black currant anyway, be the berries big or small, so it really didn't make a difference to me at all
I know of a place where you can get rather nice pearl earrings for about $3 each or even less. Only problem is, that place is in China.

LOL, that is a bit of a problem, actually my friend was in China recently, I should have had her look for them
The ball sounds like a lot of fun Ela, I'm glad you didn't trip over your dress and the tea party sounds like heaps of fun too
Summer has gone by so fast. I've loved it, and yet I still feel I haven't enjoyed it enough.
I agree, summer has gone by real fast, i didn't enjoy it at all though, I think this has been one of the worts summers for me
aww sorry things have been stressful for you MM *hugs* I'm praying for you
I'm glad to hear that, Wrose! How's your writing going?
slow I guess that would be the perfect word to describe it, I'm going to have to do some serious catch-up if I hope to make 50k by the end of August
The pillows sound like they are so pretty
A friend asked me if I could make 20 pillows for her friend in September....I said I'd give it a try
*hugs Libby* I've missed you
The cake looks YUMMY *helps herself to a slice *
I got a job teaching a two year old kid English in September too....and I'm a little nervouse, I've just about stolen....uh borrowed all my mom's books on teaching and childcare
I'll be leaving for a historical festival on the 26th and am so excited, I was at it last year and had heaps of fun, I only hope it doesn't rain I had a problem with weaving me decore for my costume, I got a a few threads in the wrong place and it was such a headach to get them all fixed, but I think I hase solved all of the glitches...which reminds me, why am I sitting here in the square, I have a costume to decorate and a belt to weave
*hurridly gets up and runs off*
always be humble and kind
Good mortereve, everyone!

*looks up from her book after munching on a particularly crunchy slice* Oh, what book? Currently, it's Black by Ted Dekker. A very riveting book, I must say. *tries to drag her head out of the clouds and back to reality*
It's funny; apples are one of the only fruits I really love, other than raspberries and occasionally strawberries. I'm not a fan of much else, but I do love fruit more than I love vegetables.
*tosses Bella an orange* There you go, just the way you like it.
Wow. Only one emoticon. I hope this means I'm learning to express myself better in words without the wonderful aid of emoticons, or it could just mean I'm tired and inexpressive. I'm feeling rather sarcastic, at the moment.
I use emoticons way too much for my own good, so I'm trying to downsize. However, sometimes it works better than others.
*waves to the afore mentioned Mountie*
*waves back wildly to Ela* How are you?
*also waves to Lia, her dear NWeb sis, and hugs her, also sending lots of prayers.
*waves to wild* 20 pillows? How are you going to manage that? I hope that goes well!
*waves to Libby and munches on the cake* Yum, chocolate - my favorite!
