"Mmm-hmm. What clued you in?"

Not the type to reveal to much about her past, Abigail simply pressed for more information. "So, what does it mean?"

"Oh, but if I told you, that'd be no fun!"

"Come on, from the look of things, you ain't got time to argue."

“You’ve already been wasting my time,” the Marshal walked over to where her shotgun had fallen and picked it up and inspected it. "You've told me nothing that is of any use or importance to me."

“If fighting broke out, she’d be protected by the smartest, strongest man I know. So there is that.”

“Even the best man can be taken out by a well-aimed bullet and you’re sitting in a hotbed of fools. Smart fools, but fools nonetheless.”

“So, have you got a plan for dealing with these morons? Because if you go in there guns blazing, they both are liable to die.”

“I don’t know how much you’re familiar with this place, but it’s a great hiding place. Great place to set up if you know you’re going to fight, too--there’s hidden corners everywhere. That said, well, if you know it real well, you can get through where people wouldn’t think to look. Where is she?”

“Last I knew, she was in a tent on the western edge of the camp. She may have moved since then, though.”

“Of course the visibility is good there. They can always see her. Why’s Meyer’s boys hanging out here? They’re not going to get Caldwell.”

"These boys are more loyal than you gave them credit for. If you think that you can just go shoot their leader and walk away without a fight, you've got another thing coming."

"They also don't know a lot," the Marshal said, her eyes narrowing. "Because I don't lose fights."

"I've seen," Abby cracked a smile. She walked over to her gear and began redressing, "take me with you. I'm a better fighter than anyone you've got."

"And what are they going to do when they find you are gone, Ang Mo? Hmm?"
