Brian nodded gratefully to Peter. "Thank Peter..." he said with a smile.

"Diane...." the mean girl, stacey, poked her in the side. "So where's that one friend of yours??? Out with his old buddies...." she said with a laugh. "Or maybe he's been suspened from school again!" she said. "Oh...and where that one girl too....Miley was her name....was she that wimp??"

Amanda stood in between Diane and the bully, hands on her hips. "FIrst of all, it was a she and she died. Second, Miley is not a wimp. SHe's in school right now and no, you can't go there and bother her."

WHen John sulked to his seat, Peter answered, "Your welcome. Let's just hope he doesnt try anything on us during practice."

"Yeah..." Brian said, then the teacher began talking and both of the boys looked up and paid attention.

Stacey put her hands on her hips and stuck her tongue out at Amanda "Hey Mandy...." she said rudely. "Step out of the way....or i'll make you get out of my way..."

Abigal was just standing and watching. she didn't know what to say!

Amanda quickly moved out of the way, for she did not feel like being punched. Instead, she turned to Abigal. "PLease make her go away," she whispered to Abigal.

After class, Peter looked out the window, seeing rain. "Oh no! I hope it stops!"

Brian, carrying his books sighed. " I was really looking forward to practice...." he said.

Abigal nodded, and with a determined face stepped forward, and in front of Diane. " Now just stop it!" she put up a hand. " There is no need to be mean anyway!" she said and pursed her lips. " Go away..."

Stacey got a really mean and raised her fist. "You better...." she stopped when she saw Abigal's ring. "Nice ring...Can I see it?" She said in a sly voice.

"No way!!!" Abigal cried and retracted her hand, but Stacey caught it and took thw ring from her finger.

" I GOT IT HA HA!!!" she said and stuck her tongue out at them and ran.

Peter groaned, "This bites. Wonder if coach will let us practice in the gym?"

Amanda ran after stacey, pulling her back and grabbed her fist. "Give that back!"

"I hope he does.." Brian said lifting his books. "I would hate to miss practice today becuase of rain"

Stacey tugged. " No I won't give her ring back!!!!!" she said and kicked for Amanda's ankle.

Let's see." Justin and Brian rushed to their soccer coach, who was in the hall. "Can we still have soccer practice? Please? Can we do it in the gym?"

Just as Stacey kicked her in the ankle, Amanda grabbed Stacey's wrist and took the ring. SHe rushed to Abigal and Diane.

"Please please please please?" Brian said in a little voice that made Peter chuckle.

The coach laughed. "Well boys.....Alright!" he said. "If it's still raining we'll practice in the gym for the day"

Abigal quickly took the ring, and slipped it back on her finger. " Thanks soooo much Amanda" she said with a huge sigh of relief.

" HEY!!!!" Stacey screamed. " Give it back!!!"

Peter felt a surge of happiness burst through him, giving Brian a high five. "Yes!'

AManda yelled, "It's not yours, stacey!"

Brian nodded. " YEAH Now we Can practice no matter what!! Thanks a bunch coach!!!"

Their coach nodded. " Of course....this is part of your treat for winning that game"

" OH!!!" Stacey Exclaimed and stopped toward Abigal.

Abigal back up, holding her hand with the ring in it. "Your not getting it....no way" she said.

A big smile was on Peter's face, as he turned to Jen and gave her an excited hug. "We can still practice!"

Amanda held Stacey Back. "Get out of here."

Miranda spotted Peter, Brian, and Jen not too far off from where she was standing. She observed them unnoticed for a while until Jen spotted her.
Jen turned her back to Miranda. "Uh-oh," she said. "Don't look now, but I think Miranda's back."
Miranda skipped over 'happily' and placed an arm around Jen's shoulders.
"Hiya, Jen! I've missed you," she said unexpectedly.

Peter groaned at Miranda's upbeat voice, hoping she woudl leave Jen alone. "Hey, thanks for the free haircut. Jerk."

Brian chuckled at Peter and looked at Miranda. Then he looked at the top of Peter's head and hair. "It doesn't look that bad Peter. It could be worse!" he siad encouragingly.
