"Really?" Ryan asked as he dribbled the ball, pausing to look at Peter. "I will too. I love basketball."

Chrissa laughed. "I don't like the color pink much, but I think that would look very nice on you." She added slyly, "Ryan would like it. Why don't you try it on?"

Peter reached out his hand and knocked it from Ryan. Running with it, he shot it in the hoop again. He laughed and it felt so good to laugh again. He let the ball bounce on the ground, then he passed it to Ryan.

Miley squealed and rushed into the dressing room. When she put it on, Chrissa was right. She looked gorgeous. If only her snobby sister could see her now.

Ryan laughed and shot the ball through the hoop. The ball bounced back to the ground, and Peter grabbed it. It was nice to see Peter enjoying himself so much.

Chrissa saw Miley in the dress. She gasped. "Miley, that looks stunning on you! You absolutely have to get it."

Peter turned to the side a little, flinging the ball at the hoop. It made a little circle around the brim, then went in. He let teh ball bounce on teh ground, before it rolled to Ryan.

Miley gave Chrissa a model pose, then thanked her. She went back in the room to take the dress off, then came back otu to pay for the dress. SInce there was a sale, the dress was not that expensive. She turned to Chrissa. "Let's find you a dress."

"Then," continued Zach just as slowly. "We'll just slap it on without any actual drawing." Or better yet, you go home and I'll just do the whole stinkin' project.

"Hey," said Brad, opening the door. "What's up, Justin?"

She was bored. And when Ally Graham is bored, that is never a good thing. Ally yawned and scuttled downstairs, to see that Anna was gone, as usual. Fine with her.

Justin said, "Let's go talk to the newspaper leader. He has no right to put my cousin's name in the article. My cousin is a minor and putting his name in there is against the law. He has suffered enough humiliation from Mr. Pole and ddoes not need to have the paper including his name in Mr. Pole's dumb, lame excuses." Justin took a deep breath, trying not to get dizzy from his anger.

After an exciting game of basketball, Peter rang the doorbell to Jen's house so that they could work on their project.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Justin asked, "So are we going to go talk to him yet?"
Jen answered the door, excited. "Hi, Peter! Mom's in the other room, so she won't bother us." Jen led Peter into the kitchen.
Peter smiled, "Sounds good." He walked in and shrugged in a teasing manner. "Not like she will see anything if she came in. I think I can be on my best behavior." He let out a low whistle. Then, he smirked. "You, on the ohter hand, I'm not so sure about."
"Me? I bet I could last longer than you! I'm irresistable," she teased. "I bet I could work longer than you can."
Peter laughed. "I still have that song in my head. Something about a handsome stud soon-to-be-hopeful-soccer player for our middle school that you can't resist." He opened up the book. "Was his name Romeo or Peter?"
Jen smirked and stuck her tongue out at Peter. "It's me you can't resist, if that song is stuck in your head," she giggled. "So there!"
Peter laughed, trying to think of a comeback. He made a face and turned a page in the book. "Romeo and Juliet." He let out a whistle. He stared at his assignment and could not help but picture Juliet as Jen. He stopped himself mid thought. "So, I say we do a skit for our project, of the balcony scene," he suggested to Jen. Oops. Honestly, he was pretty sure she could resist him. He used to be a bully with those jerks who threatened her. Now, he was addicted to pills. On top of that, half his hair was gone. Still, this bantering was fun. He liked making her laugh. He got out a pen and started writing what the book said. The truth was, she was the irresistible one. Still, he wasn't about to admit it while they were having their contest. He sighed. "Maybe we should do a poster instead. We don't want any bullies to have something to start new rumors with." He really did not feel like losing the rest of his hair. Knowing the bullies, they would probably help Mr. Pole escape or something like that. Still, he did not want to bring that up to Jen. Jen was not her dad. No. Jen was sweet, compassionate, gentle, tender and beautiful. When she cried, it broke his heart. When she smiled, it caused a warm sensation to spread over him. He loved the joy, compassion and passion in her eyes and her gorgeous smile.
Remembering their contest, he tried to stop looking dazed before she saw him.
Chrissa shrugged. "I don't know what color would look good on me. Maybe a dark blue?" she suggested to Miley. Miley was probably better at dress-shopping than her.
Miley looked around the store, before walking out. THere was not a dark blue dress in sight. "Let's try another store."
Before they could leave, some snob girl wlked up to them, sneering. "You're not wearing that dress to teh dance. If you do, you will be humiliated just liek that bratty cousin of yours."
Chrissa felt her fists clench. She looked at Miley, who looked shocked. "Are you threatening my friend?" Chrissa asked in a dangerous tone.
The snob smirked. "Maybe."
"What do you mean, she can't wear the dress?" Chrissa demanded.
