Peter nodded. "I can't belive Nicole helped miranda cut my hair. Thought we were friends"

Jen nodded sadly. "I know. It was awful, what she did. But we can't hold a grudge against her, it's not right! God wouldn't, would he?"

Peter touched the little bit of hair he had on top. "God wants us to forgive her, and I do." He said, "ON to more positive things, I really am glad to be playing sports again. Want ot go visit Justin, see what he's up to?"

"Sure," Jen agreed. "I haven't seen too recently. I hope Maralyn and the baby are home!"

Peter took her hand and smiled. "It's only been four months. Unless you meant her unborn baby." He shook his head at how weird his own words sounded. The two of them got Ryan and Miley to take them to Justin's.

Justin had just heard Maralyn tell him what happened to Peter's hair, when he heard the door bell ring. He rushed to the door, shocked to find Peter and Jen with Ryan and Miley. "Hey, come in!"
He tried hard not to feel guilty for his own hair, which had grown right below his ear in the back. He stroked Peter's almost shorn head and tried to make the conversation light. "Don't tell me I missed a soccer game," he said with a grin

"You did!" Jen answered. "Shame on you! How come you didn't come?"

Justin shrugged. "Um, let me think of an excuse. Well, I was working hard all day...and had some catching up to do with my wife, because that is what married couples do."
Peter shook his head. "Next time you both can come. We won."
Miley was standing next to Ryan, and looked around Justin's house. "Got your nursery set up yet?"
Maralyn answered, "Yes would you all like to see it?"

"Sure, that sounds like fun," Ryan agreed. Maralyn led them into the nursery.

Kayla was walking through the park by herself. It was a cold, windy day out, but she had her coat on and she needed some time to be by herself so she could think.

Glancing around, Kayla saw that she was alone in the park. She wasn't sure why, but that made her feel uneasy.

Suddenly, out of the blue, a hand appeared out of nowhere and covered her mouth. Her hands were pulled behind her back.

Maralyn showed them a room full of pink pillows, with pink walls and a crib with pink blankets. Jen giggled and put a soft blanket to her cheeks. "She's gonna love this!"

Milley turned to Ryan. "She did a pretty good job, didn't she?"

THe kidnapper put a hand over Kayla's mouth, as he dragged her into the car. "Don't scream."

Ryan smiled and nodded, stroking the soft blanket. "Definitely! It looks great, Maralyn."

Kayla tried to twist around to see her kidnappper's face, but he was holding her too tightly. So she bit the hand that was over her mouth. The kidnapper swore under his breath and reached for her again.

Kayla kicked him in the stomach and tried to see his face. He was wearing a mask. Of course.

The man reached forward again and yanked at her arm. Oh no, he's got me again! Kayla thought.

He tied her hands behind her back and shoved her into the car.

The man ignored Kayla's muffled screams, and drove away, as fast as he could. Kayla's parents went to school with him an dhe loved Kayal's mom, who fell in love with Kayla's dad instead. So, he felt this a perfect wayt to get them back.

Justin and Peter saw on breaking news that Kayla was kidnapped. FIrghtened, Peter called Nicole. It was emergency and he thought she should know.

Kayla stopped squirming and sat still. The gag in her mouth was annoying her. She felt tears p***k her eyes, and she slumped in the car seat.

The phone rang, and Nicole answered it. When she heard Peter's voice, she frowned. "What do you want?" she snapped.

Peter drew in a deep breath. "Kayla has been kidnapped. We just saw it on TV." He wanted to tell Jen, but decided it would be best to wait until she was done looking at the nursery.

When the man got to his run down hut, he grabbed Kayla, jerked her out of the car and made her sit in a plastic, hair-pulling chair.

Nicole actually dropped the phone when she heard Peter's words. She crouched down and picked the phone back up. She let out a scoffing laugh. "Kayla? Kidnapped? That was lame, Peter. Stop playing jokes on me." Yes, of course it's not true. He's just playing a joke on me, trying to make me believe him. But Peter had sounded so serious.

The kidnapper took off Kayla's gag, which she was very thankful for. But he kept her tied to the chair. "Why did you kidnap me?" was the first thing out of her mouth when he took off the gag.

The man let out a short, barking laugh. "I loved your mom. She married your dad instead. This is my revenge."

Kayla felt a shiver go down her back. "And what are you going to do to me?"

The man shrugged. "I could kill you, of course. That would be a good way to get revenge."

Kayla's stomach twisted. She thought she'd be sick.

"But then again, I could just hold you for ransom," the man continued. "I could use some money, as you can tell." He swept his arm around the run-down little house they were in.

Peter felt a sense of frustration, trying not to get angry. "I think I'm the one who should be asking you to stop playing jokes on me, since you're the one who cut off my hair. Why did you do that?"
