"So, what happened?" said Nate... he was more worried than he looked.

Peter hung up the phone. "He said he will tell us when he and Chuck get here. He sounded like he had fun while I was worrying myself sick." A smirk went on Peter's face. "That's Justin for you. But hey, I worry him too."
Just then, the door opened and Justin came in, with a guy he guessed was Chuck. Justin told them everything that happened, leaving nothing out.

Kevin showed up a few minutes into the story he nocked on the door and Nate opened it a threw himself onto a big hug "How you doing Nate?" he messed with Nate's hair "I'm ok Kev"

After the story, Peter gave Justin a big hug. His older cousin felt sweat and was dirty but he didn't care. "Want me to get Maralyn?"
Justin asked, "Is she in her room?"
Peter nodded. "She was real upset. I think she was worried you got yourself killed."
Justin smirked, "As opposed to my cousin worrying that I was the one doing the killing?"
This got a small laugh out of Peter. "Hey, I was worried about you, also."
Justin gave his cousin a mischevious grin. "Hey, you worry me too. I guess we're even?"
Peter nudged Justin on the arm. "No way."

Maralyn heard the commotion in the living room and heard Justin bantering with his cousin. Relieved, she walked in. At least her husband was safe, for now. Her face brightened as she saw Justin's. She wanted to rush to him, but couldn't because of her pregnancy. She was going to have to ask what happened later. All that mattered, was her husband was home and safe.

Johny called Miley, even though it was probably, like, 10 at night i Virginia. "Heyyy, arrived!"

She heard the thump and crankily rolled over to look at the time. Who is up at three in the morning? Meghan thought irritably, before realizing SHE was up at 3:30 A.M.

Miley and Ryan were on their way home from prom, when her oldest brother called. A surge of excitement rushed through her, "Glad you're safe. I just am getting back from the school dance. I loved it! Remember when you had to dance with me when we were little because Justin refused and Susan was studying?"

A nineteen year old boy had gone shopping a few weeks ago to buy his girlfriend from back home a Christmas present. Well, she was not technically a girlfriend they were just friends. As he was about to leave the mall, he had heard a few gunshots. What the heck? This sounded all too familiar from when his brother was in a gang. Only, the panic was for himself this time and not for his brother. He hid by standing at the wall, next to the door. Some thug shot at a kid who looked about fourteen or fifteen? This brought back horrible memories of when he was a lifeguard and accidentally let a kid drown. Still, he snapped out of it and was about to rescue the kid when a guy who looked a few years older than him came running out adn saw what happened. Are they in a gang? Kyle Anderson opened the door just a tad to hear what was going on. He heard the guy ask "Where is he?" Is he that kid's brother? Kyle listened in a little more. Some guy who was older than the dude who was helping the kid said, "I'm right here." Then, the kid got up and said, "I'm fine."
Kyle took a deep breath. This reminded him of when he saved a girl's life. He was glad the kid was okay and he went with the older guy and they were talking about taking the thug to the police station. Wow. Glad they are okay.I better hurry up and get my girlfriend- I mean friend her present.
Later on, when he heard that those older guys were going on trial for killing the thug, he madea vow to be a witness at their trial. He was not abou to let them go to jail or get the death penalty. They were protecting each other.

Ryan smiled as Miley chattered excitedly to her brother. It was good to see her so happy.

Nicole stared at the phone in her room. Finally, she got up the courage to pick it up. Fingers trembling, she dialed Miranda's phone number.

She hoped that Kayla and her friends would never find out about this phone call.

Miranda was plannig out a way to explain to the school newspaper why there was a swimming vidoe of her in her class. She was pretty sure either Ally and her airheaded friend or Peter and his retarded friends had something to do with it. When she heard the phone ring, she answered, "Hello?"

(Hey, don't forget Nicole is the traitor, not me! Keep that in mind. )

Nicole twisted a strand of blonde hair around her finger. "Um, hello, well, this is Nicole." She stood first on one foot, then the other, as she waited anxiously for Miranda's reply.

Miranda was suprised that NIcole would call her. Oh well, it would work just fine. "Hey Nicole."

Nicole let out the breath she had been holding. Well, at least Miranda hadn't hung up. Yet.

"Erm, I was wondering if we could talk?" Nicole asked nervously, dropping the strand of hair she had been twisting, and beginning to bite her fingernails instead.

Miranda smiled her Cheshire cat grin. "I would love to talk. Actually, I've been waiting for you to call."

Peter was back at Nate's house, when he turned on the news and saw a boy around Diane and Amanda's age agreed to testify. Peter wondered if the guy would make up any lies to get Justin in jail or dead, then it was announced that he will be supporting Justin. A surge of hope splashed through Peter, along with relief that not everyone was out ot get his cousin.

"Oh, you have?" Nicole asked, straightening up. She plopped down on her bed. "I just wanted to talk about...I don't know...my friends?"

Reeling Nicole in, Miranda answered, "You can tell me anything. I promise I won't tell."

Peter lept from the couch to tell Nate, feeling liek his old perky and hyper self. "Nate! Nate! Someone is going to testify on Justin's side!" Today and tonight was a way better day than yesterday. Seeing Justin return home safely had caused him hope he wasn't doomed to a life of unhappiness on this earth after all, and the news only increased the hope. God, thank You that my cousin my not have to die or go to jail after all!

"No way!" shouted Nate from upstairs, he slid down the pole and ran to the counch, leaping over the top of it he landed with a thump "Dude this is so great!"
