Logan looked up when Peter addressed him. He knew he couldn't explain the problem to him; Peter liked Brian, so he'd never understand. Logan quickly put all thoughts of the argument with Emmy behind him, flashed a casual grin and flipped his hair to the side. "Oh, nothing. Great to see you though, Pete! What've you been up to?"

Alec popped open the doors and nodded at the copper. "Hey, Officer." He nodded. "Was I over the speed limit? I swear, this van is..." He flapped his hand about as if the correct adjective was on the tip of his tongue. "...really...lousy at telling me how fast I'm going."

"Susie?" Johnny mumbled. He nipped over to the side of her bed in half of a second. "Are you, uh, feeling okay?" He mentally punched his own lights out. Of course not! She had been crying five minutes ago.

Peter asked, "Are you sure?" Then, he could tell that Logan did not want to be questioned on it anymore, so he said, "Well, my cousin Justin got scalped by a bunch of thieves. You wanna come wiht me to the hospital?"

Miley texted Johnny, telling him to get to Justin's room ASAP. THen, she texted Peter. He should be here by now.

Micah sat across from Joesph Landers. "Please make sure my dad goes to prison."

Logan couldn't help the grimace that crossed his face upon hearing the news. "Oh, man, that's not good. Yeah, I'll go with you - is he okay? When did it happen?"

As he was walking with Logan, he texted his aunt to say where he was going. "Well, remeber Micah? Turns out his dad and some goons were out to get him, then Justin tried to distract them, in order to protect everyone there including Micah. He sent Miley and I to Ian's. One fo the goons dragged him into a van and that's where he was scalped and stabbed in the chest." He grimaced at the thought of his cousin laying in the hospital bed, so helpless.

Logan's eyes widened as Peter recounted the tale in fuller detail. "Oh, man, that's harsh! I had no idea any of that happened... What about Micah? What happened to him?" The news of such terrible happenings that his friends were involved with completely drove away all thoughts of the problem with Emmy. Granted, he only barely knew Micah; but he still felt worried for the kid.

When Brian's family got home from church, they all went to different places. His Mother went to make lunch, his father to organize legal papers, and Brian plodded slowly up the stairs to his room. When he got in he shut his door, changed into a green shirt and tan pants, then sat down at his desk to do some writing. Just then his cellphone beeped, signifying he had a new text message. He snatched it from it's place, and flipped it open. Peter wanted to hang out. He smiled, and sent a quick response back, telling him he'd be happy to.

Ten minutes before Brian had been in an okay mood, willing to spend some time with one of his bestfriends, and hang out for a bit. Now though he resembled gathering thunderstorm. He had met Peter on the street about two blocks from his home,and guess you just HAD to be with him!? Logan. The two boys sent each other hard piercing looks, before Brian broke his stare and tried to smile at Peter. He had caught a few words of their conversation when he was walking up, but not all of it "What's happened Pete?"

"No I'm not alright Johnny" Susan said, sighing. She took a shuddering breath and look him in the eyes "I've been diagnosed with Cancer...."

Ian was relieved when the car finally stopped. He wrenched the door open, stepping out with a sigh "Hello officer" he said, with a faked smile

As soon as Logan saw Brian, his eyes filled with disgust. He glared at Brian, and received an equal glower back - but he quickly hid his ill sentiments by turning away from him. He waited for Peter's response, unwilling to give Brian any kind of greeting.

Great. Now Brian's going to want to tag along with us, Logan thought, annoyed by the very presence of his rival.

Peter could sense tension between between his two best friends and was unsure of what to say next. He swallowed, "Justin has been scalped and stabbed in the chest by abunch of theives. It's awful."

Miley excused herself from the room and wandered around, when she spotted her sister's room? She had no clue why she was there or what Johnny was doing. Was her sister okay? She opened the door just in time to hear Susan say, "I have cancer."
Miley's mouth flew open. "You have cancer?"

Joshua Keeton made himself comfortable and got out his Livescribe Echo Smartpen digital voice recorder and clicked "record". He adressed Micah in a swaying professional voice, "So, Micah, I've read over your file but I'd like to hear your side of the story, in your own words. No need for lengthly details. Just tell me what happend. Remember that everything you say, though entirely confidential, is being recorded."

"Over the speed limit?! Over the speed limit?!!! Not only that, but I don't suppose you could explain shooting up the park and, injuring multiple people, and kidnapping a kid?!" Buck nodded to Ian. Speed limit?! Pah!!!"

"Awwe, I'm sure he'll make it out all right. He'll recover, and he'll be the same old Justin too." Kahlynn winked, and coughed again.

Micah said, "I've been raised in a family of theives and was part of my dad's theiving business. Sometiems I would steal willingly and sometimes he would force me to steal. He would beat me if I didn't obey. He was very abusive so I stole his money and ran away to here. I enrolled myself in school with fake information about my family and plaigarized just so that I could get an education. I needed a place to live, so I moved in with my cousin, who has turned his life around. My dad an dhis goons were after me and they came after Ian and my friends as well."

"He was....was what!?" Brian gasped his eyes widening "Whoa....that's terrible! Who'd do that to a person!? Is he recovering!?!?"

Peter shook his head. "He's breathing but not doing very well." The three of them made their way into the hospital. "He's in a lot of pain."
He walked up to Jen, when he saw her, giving her a hug.
Jen said, "Kahlyn has an injured ankle. Do you know where Micah went?"
Peter replied, "He's in juvie. How's Justin since the last time I've heard?"
Jen shook her head. "Freaking out. He keeps telling Maralyn ove rand over not to leave him."

Frank started yelling out of his prison cell, "Let me go! I'm innocent! It's my traitor son who's guilty!"

Buck took Ian and made him sit in the front seat. Then he arrested Alec and put him in the back. "Now I don't suppose you to could explain what happened at the park..." He said as he started the engine.
