Peter was about to answer, when Karver came in. He was glad to see Weydon happy. She really needed, especailly with all she'd been through in the past couple days. "Weydon, would you like some time alone with Karver? We want to talk more to you but can come back in ten minutes, or some of us can."

"No, you can all stay if you'd like," Weydon answered. "How much longer do I have to stay in the hospital?"

Peter said, "I guess we would have to ask a nurse." He turned to Maralyn. "You used to be a nurse. How long dose she have to stay here?"

"Susan? Hi." Johnny cracked his fingers. "This is your bro, John." He coughed. "Um, Johnny." That was better.

"Nothing, no, not at all!" Alex assured him. "Mean as a snake, boss. I'll be meaner. Mean as a mountain lion!" He thought about it. "Hey, that's an alliteration."

"Ally." Zach spotted her and thrust a sheet of paper into her hands.

"Watch it, dork!" Ally snapped. "You'll give me a paper cut."

"Just ask me what's been highlighted. Please?"

He looked pretty desperate, reflected Ally. Desperate enough to hand her a history study guide. "Fine, whatever." She smoothed down her shirt and tossed her hair back.

"William Pitt," she prompted.

"What's the special?" asked the customer seated in front of them.

"Salmon in demi glaze. Um," Zach thought back, making sure that wasn't yesterday's special. "...yeah."

"Wrong. He was a British politician," Ally announced.

"Is the glaze on the side?" The woman frowned at her menu, clutching it like it personally belonged to her.

"Correct, ma'am." Zach tapped his foot.

"No, you got it wrong," corrected Ally. "William Pitt was not a salmon."

"What if I'm allergic to garlic?" the lady raised an eyebrow.

Susan sighed, laying back "What is it Johnny?" she asked quietly, which wasn't like her at all.

Stacey reached out for Logan's hand. "Can't believe Ally left us here, all alone in this cold." She scooted closer to Logan. "So, you're friends with Peter?

Peter thanked Weydon. "Yeah, I would like to stay. Would like to get to know my second cousin better."

"Well, I've got this--," Johnny froze mid-prattle. "Susan? Are you feeling okay?"

Susan felt a sob choke up in her throat, and she could barely form the words. "No.....I'm not" she gasped, sounded like she could break into tears at any moment

Kahlynn looked around the stands and sighed. Of all the projects she had to do for creative writing it had to be an interview about sports. She could deal with the sports part about it if she had to, but an interview? Why? All of it was bad enough, but she also had to take another day off of work to do it. She was sure her boss would fire her if this kept up, and then she couldn’t afford rent. Oh well, better to get this over with. She looked around for someone who might be willing to be interviewed, and then she noticed two boys. If she remembered right from what she overheard, one was Ian, and the other was Micah, the new boy. She decided it was worth a shot and shuffled through the crowd.
“Hi, I’m Kahlynn. I have to do an interview about the game and I was wondering if you guys would want to be...uh... interviewed.” Well that was bound to be awkward, she thought.

Micah was suprised when a girl appraoched him, asking to interview abotu sports. He couldn't let his name go in a paper or magazine, it would be too risky. "Um, I really don't know much about sports." He turned to his cousin. "Ian, do you know about sports?"

"Well, yeah" Ian chuckled "I know some about sports. We don't mind being interviewed" he tussled his cousin's hair "What do you want to know?" he smiled at her kindly

Well, Kahlynn thought with relief, at least their being friendly. Now the question was which question to start out with.
“Let’s start with this: Are you pleased with the team’s progress so far this year?” Her voice cracked due to her nervousness. She hoped the boys wouldn’t notice that.

THoughts ran through Micah's head. What if someone saw his name? "This is anonymos, right? I'm kind of shy." Not a lie.

Nate was walking down the street away from his interview when he walked past a drunk sitting in an allyway "Skylar!" Nate said, recognising the drunk. He grabbed Skylar's arm and picked him up. "Who are you?" Skylar asked, confused. Nate rolled his eyes, the man was so stinking drunk he couldn't remember one of his best friend.

Smack. That was the sound of Nate hand contacting Skylar's cheek "Stop hitting me... Oh, hey Nate, how you doing" Skylar said, Nate rolled his eyes "You should have stayed in the army, at least there you couldn't get drunk, where is your apartment?"

Twenty minutes later Nate locked to door to Skylars apartment, that would keep him inside until he got somber. Nate began walking down the steps when his bum leg caught on something and he went tumbling down the steps, when he got to the bottem he achived busting his lip.

Nate stood up "Joy" he said and walked back towards his house.

“Yeah, it can be anonymous if you want it to be.” Kahlynn smiled. Somehow, Micah’s confession about being shy made her feel a little bit better. She didn’t feel as scared anymore, and she decided that these boys didn’t mean any harm. “Don’t feel bad. I’m really shy too. Honestly I would not be doing an interview if it wasn’t for a class. I was worrying about it all day.”

"So, you're friends with Peter?"

Logan thought about the question before answering. He knew Peter didn't like Ally and Stacey; but what did Stacey think of Peter? Logan nodded nonchalantly. "Yeah, he's cool. Why?"
