Before Samantha could make another retort, it was Amanda's turn. As she nervously walked to the center of the stage to read her lines, she could hear laughter. Shaking her head, she decided to ignore it. She read her lines as clearly as possible, staying with the character. Still, she wasn't so sure she would get the part. It was Eliza's turn. "Break a leg", which was theatre terms for good luck.

"Thanks," Eliza whispered as she gave two thumbs up "You did great!" and she repeated Amanda's performance with slightly different lines.

Weydon turned her eyes away from Cassy. She didn't want to talk about Karver anymore.
Then she had an idea.
"You wanna see my birds? I found a nest of birds at the park that I'd go visit every night while Karver was asleep. If Maralyn will let us go to the park, I can show them to you."

Cassandra smiled "Oh, yes please! That would be very nice!" She gently set the doll down on Weydon's bed. Then turned "Thank you for letting me play with your toys"

Weydon smiled at her. "You're welcome."

At the park, Weydon beckoned Cassy toward a tree. She pointed up to a nest of baby birds. The mother and father weren't there.
"These are my birds," she said. "I take care of them... ever since they were left alone. Their parents didn't want them."
She looked sadly down at the ground. Then at Cassy.
"Give me a boost up!"
Weydon climbed onto Cassy's back, and onto the lowest tree branch. She looked up. The bird's nest was on a very high branch.
She climbed up and up. Suddenly, her foot couldn't find the branch that she thought had been there. She lost her balance...
... The last thing she knew she was falling. Then, blackness...

Justin was just arriving home from a late day had work and grabbing himself something to eat on the road, when he noticed that Weydon had fallen out of a tree. Quickly, he rused to her side and got on the gorund. "Weydon! Are you okay?" He noticed she was bleeding, so he quickly called an ambulance to come get her. When they got there, they agreed that he could ride with her in the ambulance truck.

"Alright, cool" Nate said and walked behind him, he sat down and said "I would of put a resume together, unfourtanatly the only thing it would say was that I killed Ronia's" he said putting his hands in his pant pockets.

At the emergency room, Dr. Jacobsin came out to talk to Justin.
"She's lost a lot of blood. We need someone to volunteer to give some blood to us now for a blood transfusion. Would you like to? We'd have to test it first, of course, to make sure it's the right type. Otherwise her body wouldn't accept it."

Justin agreed. "Sounds good." He would do anyhting to protect the little girl.

Amanda gave Eliza a hug after she finished. "You did awesome. CAn't wait to look tomorrow and see if we got the parts!"

Dr. Jacobsin, after drawing a sample of blood from Justin, went and tested it in the lab. What he found wasn't exactly what he expected.
He rushed back to the room where Justin was waiting. He looked at him oddly.
"Well... the samples match. They match exactly." he gave a nervous laugh. "I've heard of long-lost relatives meeting eachother accidentally before, but... even their blood types weren't as close as this."
He pointed to the little girl passed out on the table. "Mr. Thomas," he began nervously, "this child is your daughter."

What? OKay...she's six. I told June to get an abortion six years ago. So, the abortion didn't kill her then? That's wonderful! Still, what if she hates me when she finds out? Justin said, "Wow. I can't believe it." It was like a wonderful dream, yet scary at the same time. "So, what happens next?"

The doctor smiled at him. "You tell your daughter the news that she has a father. But you'll have to wait until after she wakes from the surgery."

Hours later, Weydon began to stir on the bed. She opened her groggy eyes. "Where am I? Where are the birds?"

Justin waited outside of the hospital, then texted Maralyn to tell her to come quickly. He took a deep breath, asking God for help. He felt the wind blow his dark hair from his shoulders, as he walked back inside. When Weydon's surgery was over, he walked into the room she was staying in, wondering what the heck he was going to say. "He heard her ask where she was and where the birds were. "You're in the hospital. You fell." He tried to pretend to be casual, at least for now. This didn't change the fact he was scared she might not forgive him for what he had done to her. He could tell now why she looked a little odd. It was his fault. If he hadn't forced June to get an abortion Weydon would know him and June. She wouldn't be a little disfigured. "I need to tell you something. Something important." He mentally asked himself how he would explain this to a child.

"Alright," Weydon said seriously. "What is it?"
She was lying in the hospital, and this man, looking very serious, was saying he had something to tell her. What could it be? she thought.
"Am I dying?" she asked (which, I suppose is what most people would think in that situation). "Tell me the truth. I can take it. I'm very mature for my age."
She sat up straight and braced herself for the news.

It had all happened so fast. One minute Weydon was happily showing her her birds. The next her friend was falling and bleeding. Then Justin Thomas arrived called an ambulance and they took Weydon away. Now Cassandra found herself sitting in the waiting room of the hospital, scared and alone, and also frightened for Weydon. She didn't know if was to be alright.....no one was telling her anything. All the nurses were busy, and she just staid quiet, hoping someone would soon come to tell her what was going on.

Maralyn had been waiting Justin's call for hours. She had stood near the phone, holding their baby girl, and just waiting. Then it rang and she picked it up, listening as Justin quickly relaid to her all the past events with speed and ended with 'You need to come now'. "Alright....I'm on my way" she said, a shake in her voice. She bundled Sarah up, and snatched their newly acquired car seat, and rushed out to the van. She didn't feel like driving, but Justin wanted her, and she was going to go. She buckled her child into the middles seat, then slid into the drivers seat, sending a prayer of safety up to the Lord "Be my eyes and hands..." she whispered

Richard shrugged "No need for a resume." he said with a relaxed toss on his hand. He scratched his head, ruffling his graying hair "All I need to know is if you like dealing with frustrated costumers and employees that act like little kids?" he said, a grin on his face and sarcasm in his tone
