Peter was glad to see traces of the old Nate. The way he was before he left. "Well, Brian and I made some new friends. We've been shooting hoops, skateboarding, watching movies. Jen and I are still dating and she has become very good friends with at least one of our female friends. Jen is amazing. She knows how to comfort others and reach out and help others. She is very caring about other people. She's very sweet but still has spunk to her. Stacey kind of befrinded someone in our new circle of friends, his cousin and some new girl in town. It's strange. She's hitting on my friend Logan now. She and Ally are still best friends. She's real confusing. It's like she doesn't know if she wants to be good or bad." He sighed. "I'm kinda trying to get rid of my reputation as a wuss. Falling while skateboarding didn't help any."

Justin felt bad he made WEydon so upset, but really needed some answers. So, he went to teh jail to visit Karver.

Inside her jail cell, Karver paced anxiously, wringing her hands.
She could not believe she was trapped in this cell. This ruined all.
Where was Weydon now that she was no longer in Karver's care? She had asked some of the officers, but they would only sneer and say, "Wouldn't you like to know?" They didn't understand.
She hated being treated as a criminal. And what proof did they have? None.
If only she could tell them the truth...
Her door opened unexpectedly, and a large, female officer looked in. "You have a visitor," She said gruffly.
She roughly grabbed hold of Karver's arm, and half-pulled her out of the cell and down a narrow hallway. They entered a room.
"Sit," she ordered, throwing her into a chair. The officer stood back against the wall, watching her suspiciously.
Karver looked ahead. In front of her was a thick sheet of glass, behind which was the glorious outside world -- the world where she was supposed to be. Staring at her was a familiar-looking man. She couldn't place him at first, but then she remembered him from the mall. It was Justin.
But why was he here?
She looked confusingly back at the guard, who nodded her head a little to the side.
Karver looked in that direction, and saw a phone on the wall. It was then that she noticed that during this whole time, Justin had been holding the other line of the phone, as well.
She picked it up, and put it to her ear. "Why have you come?" she asked.

Justin explained, "I just wanted to know why you kidnapped Weydon. I tried asking her about when you kidnapped you, but she ran off and cried. She acted like she really missed you, but I saw the scar and bruises. My cousin an dhis girlfriend noticed tha tno one was across the hall. I don't get it. I really want to know what's going on."

"Martins are good," Johnny suggested, reaching for another instrument and holding it out for her to see. "They've designed some new stuff like the 'X' design inside for reinforcement. And it also has wider range of notes with the fourteen-fret deal. If you catch a deal you can get them relatively cheap--" he stopped and blinked.

Wait. Wait for it...think about it...wait, wait...oh, yes. This could work.

"Hey," Johnny began. "Sydney could just borrow my guitars, since I'll be gone for a few months anyway. That way you have time to search for a good deal and the guitars won't go to rust. Not that wood goes to rust. Well, the strings would. Wood rots." He looked at her eagerly. "Would that work for you?"

Bridget arched a brow. "Really?" She smiled. "That would...that would be great. "

Justin explained, "I just wanted to know why you kidnapped Weydon. I tried asking her about when you kidnapped you, but she ran off and cried. Karver looked at him infrustration. "There's no proof that I kidnapped anyone! . . . Wait, what bruises?" Her eyes widened.

Stacey laughed. "Did you see Peter trying to act so manly yesterday? I mean, come on!"

Justin asked, "You don't know?"

Justin asked, "You don't know?"

Karver didn't answer. She didn't know Justin well enough to trust him with what she did or did not know.
"Where is Weydon?" she asked. "How is she?"

Justin ran a hand through his hair. "They have her staying with me. SHe's a little distressed about being separated from you. If you didn't kidnap her, how did you get her?"

Karver looked him in the eye and said, "I didn't tell you that I didn't kidnap her. I didn't tell you that I did kidnap her. I didn't tell you anything, and I don't plan to."

Justin asked, "Then how come her parents were not where you said they were?"

Maya felt envious of Melisha. She had a family, she belonged somewhere. "I'm not really goin' anywhere. I jest need ta find a place thaet's I cin stay."
Maya looked around where they were sitting in the alley. "This ain't safe, thaet's fer sure. We need ta find a place where no one will see yer face." She looked up at Melisha. "I don't mean no offense. It's jest thaet if yer seen, people willl start askin' questions and we'll have ta answer. Ya un'erstand, don'tchya." She smiled at Melisha. Thinking back on what she had said about her family, Maya asked, "Won't yer family be out lookin' fer ya? What if they find ya. Will ya go back with them?"

Justin asked, "Then how come her parents were not where you said they were?"

Karver answered, "Like I said, I don't have to tell you anything. Now, if you have no more to say, I'd like to be taken back to my cell now, if you don't mind."

Ally threw her head back to crack up. "And...what makes it even better...," she gasped for air, "...is...how scrawny...he is!"

"Well, you're the lawyer." Johnny set the instrument's bottom onto the floor. "Do you want to make us sign some sort of contract?" He smirked at her.

Gmails were the worst. Alec tapped the "L" key over and over again like a sort of secret Morse code as he tried to think of another backdoor in. If he could hack Micah's email, he might find something in the Sent box about his whereabouts. Or maybe just a chat transcript. Or something worthwhile this past hour that would keep the Utmost Wrathful Rampage of Frank at bay.

Bridget chuckled. "Well, if you want to sign something, I can run home and write something up real quick." She tossed him an innocent wink. "Or, you can just swing by later and talk to Sydney about it. She'll be home in about an hour or two. I told her all I knew about you the night you helped me. She seems very eager to meet you, which is weird, seeing as she never wanted to meet any of my friends before..."
